0 · 273 views · located in Land of Ritnia

a character in “Peace or Freedom?”, as played by Nitenovanavium

Description

Samhain is for all intensive purposes a well dressed shadow. Lime bleached skin covers his frame and hair, followed by shadow hugging his form so tightly it would seem that the shadows of the world itself cling to him. This creates a skeleton pattern over the better part of most of his body, showing ribs, pelvis, shins femurs, and the like. Even down to his toe bones. Adhorned with a tophat, tailed tuxedo, and cane with the effigy of a horned cats head on top.

Name: Samhain
Age: 75
Sex: Male

Height: 6'10" (with hat)
Weight: 170Ibs
Build: Built like a male dancer, slender and fit, but strong, toned and practical.

Hair: Long and bone white. extending down to the base of his shoulderblades. Long and straightened.
Eyes: Regal purple
Skin: Bleached white in a skeleton pattern. The reast is as dark as a void. 'Actually' black. Though this is just the effect of shadow hugging him.

The shadow of the moon: Grants the fairest form. One stronger, faster, and less bound by mortal physics

The shadows of the sun: The ability to control other shadow, essentially cranting him umbramancy. And the power to solidify external shadows

The Shadows of the Stars: equipped with this Samhaines shadow becomes like fire. True shadow, as it was first created and intended. More powerful, though increadibly strenuous, and almost suicide to use for long periods of time

(does not have)

History

Samhaine was a god, before that a Grand Sidhe, then a Sidhe, then an inquisitive man. But now he's simply an entity.

Once an eccentric son of a lord, Samhain dedicated careful time and money into having fun, before being contacted by some form of ancient emmesary of the worlds' shadow, it questioned him on his nature before finding him a perfect candidate as a member of a tournament to collect the lost parts of Manannan. Samhain succeeded in tha task but never took up the mantle of God. Failing that he can never weield the true power of what he has attained.

His favorite colour is blurple

Aaren paused, blinking as someone else came into the clearing. Who was he? He stayed a short while, talking as if no one would answer or question him, and then vanishing. It took him a moment to realize what had just happened. He turned his gaze to Darin as what he had said sank in. "You're protecting a magisprit! I suggest you move aside, now, before we have a fight here." He glanced at Tarwethial before turning his attention back to the dinlander. With irritation, he lowered his hand, the one near the sword, and started to walk past the dinlander. "You don't have anything to do with the magisprits, do you? I really don't see the point of you blocking my path."

He made to pass the dinlander. The stranger had said he'd bar his path, but he wasn't entirely sure. Sure, he seemed to have some sort of magic, but Aaren was confident in his sword, and his own ability to wield it. He kept a wary eye on the dinlander, though, more uncertain about his ability in comparison.

Waterlily glanced at Nel, then crouched down even more as she heard footsteps growing closer. She watched as someone approached Azha, and stiffened. There wasn't really much she could do, as far as telling whether he was an ally or not. She moved closer to the clearing, allowing herself to loosen enough to use the water from her waterskin if it was necessary. She hesitated, unsure of herself, before calling out to the newcomer.

"Hey...who are you? What...are you doing...here?" she asked, before pulling back into the bushes a little way. If she could avoid a fight and run instead, she would. Maybe she could pick Nel up and carry her. She weighed about as much as air, anyway. Surely she could carry her for a good distance. If she had to go into water, though, she'd have to do something with Nel. Maybe saying anything at all wasn't such a good idea, really. Look at how much trouble it might get Nel and their allies into!

Darin was about to come up with a clever response when shadows oozed into the area. They took the form of a man, and then things got bad. The guy, in one big, uninterrupted, toneless burst of information, revealed that he was sheltering Magispirits.

Darin wasn't happy.

The man at the other end of the path appeared stymied for a second as the shadow guy vanished; Darin making a mental note to just jam a sword through this damn fool's torso the next time he saw him. When Aaren spoke again, Darin said nothing, his fave crowing grimmer. The little whelp made a move to pass him--bad decision. No sooner had Aaren moved to pass the Dinlander's flank than Darin's arm shot out, catching the human swordsman hard in the throat. Daren was a blur at this moment; lifting Aaren up by the lapels of his shirt and slamming him against the nearest tree trunk before dropping him and letting him sink to the forest floor.

"Last warning." Darin said, all joviality gone from his voice now. "You and your friend turn around--now--or I kill you both here. You have thirty seconds. Go."

Mr Destiny looked at the Heart-shaped Watch and smiled twistedly. He started walking into the direction where a fight was going on, and nothing was better then to watch a fight and maybe even mess with the ones fighting. He had always loved to mess with that kind of to mess with that kind of things. He wouldn't miss a fight at all.

As he neared, he stopped in the shadows and looked at Aaren, and Darin and smirked. He clutched the Watch close to his chest and played with it for a bit. This would be an intresting fight for sure. He just wished he had a bucket of popcorn now but he hadn't, he would get a bucket of popcorn after the fight and watch it again.

That was the fun of Time Travelling. He could do everything he wanted to do, not everything but he could mess with time as for example. He could go into the future or into the past, change a thing and come back to the present to see what had happened after he made the change. It was fun to mess with time.

Waterlily frowned at the cat; something didn't seem right. It wasn't his real form, she could tell...not if it could talk like that. Well, not if he could talk so that they could understand. She glanced over her shoulder, then back to Samhain. "You mean Darin? Somehow, I'd doubt that...he hasn't seemed to be too violent..." she trailed off as she glanced back again, then looked to the ground. "Well...there's not much I can do...I don't control Darin...the Mother Magisprit asked him to join us in our journey. I don't have any...real authority over the group..." She glanced at Nel for a brief second, then to Darin and the retreating human, and then back to Samhain.

"...But, if we're going to travel together...he might not really do anything to you. I mean...unless you manage to really piss him off..." She shrugged, glancing off to the side. "In any case...I suppose more protection is better than none. But, umm...it's not fair...for you to take the form of an animal...so that we don't know what you're really supposed to look at. You've seen all of us, and we don't have any different forms..."

Waterlily glanced over him, then to Darin. "She's Nel," she responded, since he hadn't used her name. It seemed odd to use anything but a name, or at least to ask for one so that they wouldn't need to use made-up names or descriptions. That just seemed so rude! She straightened, nodding in Samhain's direction. "And I'm Waterlily. Anyone else you want to know, you'll have to ask them." She wasn't being rude, really; she made her voice polite. She really only meant that the others could introduce themselves, if they wanted to, and she was really only going to bother with herself and Nel, seeing as they were both magisprits. "If you still want to talk, I'd suggest you follow; we've wasted enough time here."

She turned away to walk to Darin, seeing that the human and other elf had left. She hesitated before saying anything to him; he did seem to be rather upset, though she couldn't tell if it was the human who had tried to push past him, or the arrival of a being that was very similar to shadows...or just shrouded in them. "We really should be moving...we've been here in the forest for longer than we had intended. We do have a journey to finish..." She fidgeted slightly, lightly tugging at the uncomfortable tunic Darin had lent her. She wished she didn't need it, but they were supposed to be dealing with humans, after all. "Can't we just...get this whole thing over with?"
