a character in “Peace or Freedom?”, as played by demented-tiger

Description

Name: Tarwethial Rosenheart

Age: 210

Description: Like all elves, Tarwethial is sleek and supple. She has about twice as strong as a human. She has a flat, taut stomach and a large, ample bust. Her skin is evenly tanned and healthy-looking. She wears tight, revealing outfits, and brown, leather boots. The picture below exadurates, but gives you a fair idea of how she looks

Image

Personality

Tarwethial is proud and haughty. She becomes easily jealous when someone comes along and is better, faster, stronger, and prettier than her. For the most part, though, she keeps this in control, knowing it could adversly affect her performance. Tarwethial looks down on lesser species a little more than most elves, but she does so in a condescending way. However, she does have soft spots, and will occasionally show respect and genuine kindness for them. She doesn't have a good concept of honor, though, and will attack from behind with dirty tricks; but justifies this by expecting such attacks herself. She has no magical powers.

Equipment

Tarwethial carries a bedroll, a pack containing basic travelling supplies, a waterskin, a sword, shield, and a crossbow with assorted bolts.

History

As the daughter of two renowned elven warriors,Tarwethial was trained from an early age to use her strength and agility to become quite an efficient warrior. She quickly made her parents proud fighting in skirmishes against rival elven states when she was still quite young. Rather than join a standing army, Tarwethial prefers the solitary work of a mercenary, much as her parents did before her. At a young age, while she was still a prepubescent child swinging a wooden stick for a sword, she was indoctrinated with the notion magispirits were holding the elves back from thier true potential. With this in mind, when she is not fighting other elves or other enemies; she is hunting down magispirits with as much zeal as humans. She claims to have even killed a Mother Magispirit (or two or even more, depending on how many drinks she's had and if there're any male elves she wants to impress). Tarwethial has learned to sympathize with the human's notion magispirits seek to control them, and now has a new purpose in her crusade: to do her elven duty to liberate all living creatures from the tyranny of the magispirits.

Aaren paused, looking curiously over the footprint he had found. He assumed it was a magisprit; who else walked around in the middle of the woods barefoot? Surely they weren't far now. It didn't seem so old. He glance around briefly, then back to his most recent traveling companion. "Looks like a magisprit to me...what do you think?" If it was, then they might already be so close to their objective. Granted, he had no way of knowing if it was a water magisprit, or plant, or animal, or any of the various types.

But at least he had found the trail. And that led them closer to the death of a magisprit. He was an experienced fighter, but had never once been hunting for magisprits before. But his elf companion had said she had killed a Mother Magisprit before; and they were much more powerful than the other magisprits. So hunting down an ordinary magisprit must be nothing to her, he figured. "Let's get this over with...so we can move on to the next one..." After all, letting a magirpsit live meant letting someone else control his life. He couldn't have that.

Darin looked across the group as Marielle appeared at his side. Inwardly he was thankful for the support, should things come to blows. He made a slight motion with the hilt of her sword, giving a quiet order to keep back. She noticed the territoriality the two elves had displayed against each-other, Marielle shoving her breasts out and sucking in her chest to look more competent in comparison. Darin had no such necessity; he had a sword that was almost as tall as he was and a quarter his weight, and a superhuman healing factor, and -- if things got too bad -- a crazed berserker lurking somewhere in the black reaches of his skull.

He took a few steps forward, ignoring the mud sucking at his shoes. "Just passing through?" Darin said. "Might want to find the road that leads around this way, then. Bandits down this road." He swept his cloak aside and turned. "They took my pack, and about half of her clothes, by the looks of things." He squinted his eyes, as if trying to remember exactly what happened. "Perhaps... A dozen of them, maybe less." He shrugged. "And you two look like the sort that could carry yourselves in a fight, but I wouldn't try and take on so many at once."

He crossed his arms at her 'business' comment, his sword hanging lightly in front of him. "Business? You're implying that she..." He looked over at Mirielle. "... And I? Were... Consummating?" He let out a loud laugh then, doubling over at the waist. "Oh, that is a funny claim, miss!" He pulled himself up to his regular height. "I'm a Dinlander, good madame! I would sooner bed an elf than I would stick my nethers into a pig's feeding trough." He grinned. "And I imagine the feeding trough would be a better experience.

"No, best that you turn back before going any farther." The Dinlander grunted, raising his sword to his shoulder. "The roads are getting hairy in these tough times. Wouldn't want you and your mate there to come to any harm." He had just turned Tarwethial's barb back at her - hopefully the comment would sting her deeper than it supposedly had him. In actuality, Darin preferred elves. They were all... Bendy. Whereas this elf didn't look the sort to sleep with a mere human. The thought made it seem like her very eyes would burn out at the thought.

"But if you're just resting, I suppose you wouldn't mind if we two were to sit a spell and rest with you? Perhaps exchange tales from the road? It's been a long journey for Marielle and I, and after that experience back there, I could use a rest and a quick bite, perhaps." Darin smiled charmingly. He gestured for Marielle to step up to his side.

Aaren nodded, listening to the more experienced elf. Clearly she knew what she was doing, much better than he did. A water magisprit, easy to kill, lived close to water. They had to be close, then; they had already seen a few lakes and a stream in the forest. The problem was finding out which one they needed to keep her from, really. He froze and looked up, though, when he heard another voice. He stiffened, one hand automatically moving to touch the blade of the sword on his back, ready to move up to grab it for a fight. But the elf, Tarwethial, made a motion for him to be quiet; she would handle it.

He listened carefully, noting that this human also had an elf with him. However, he soon revealed himself to be a dinlander, and not a human. Maybe the elf had noticed, but he certainly hadn't. And, even as he listened, he could find no difference between himself and this man; he could pass for a human anywhere, really. How could a dinlander be too much different from a human, if they looked so similar? He glanced away at the trees nearby when the dinlander suggested that they were mates, biting his tongue. He turned his attention back to the dinalnder and his elven companion.

"Actually, we're in something of a rush. I hope you can understand, but we've got somewhere we need to be. Bandits don't worry me too much." While his own sword wasn't quite as large as the dinlanders, it was still a pretty big sword, and he still needed both hands to wield it. But even so, he knew what he was doing, and was confident he could handle it if things turned around. He reached up a hand to scratch at the back of his neck, but only so that his hand was closer to the hilt of the sword, rather than the blade, if these two turned out to be trouble.

"A game sounds fun," Nel said cheerfully. "But Nel is in a bag right now. Maybe Nel can hide here?" Gesturing downward, she pointed out the sack she now occupied. She had been set down a bit behind a few bushes, and with her face turned rearward, so she couldn't see what was going on. She could, however, hear the people who had just started talking. They said strange things which Nel didn't exactly understand, but something about them told her that they weren't nice people. Their voices, perhaps. Either way, she didn't like the sound of whoever had just showed up, and so decided that it would be in everyone's best interest if she just stayed down for the time being. Dropping her head down halfway into the bag, she peered nervously over the rim of it. They hadn't seemed to have noticed her due to the broad frame of Darin blocking her from view as he entered the path, so it looked like she was safe for now...

Aaren paused, blinking as someone else came into the clearing. Who was he? He stayed a short while, talking as if no one would answer or question him, and then vanishing. It took him a moment to realize what had just happened. He turned his gaze to Darin as what he had said sank in. "You're protecting a magisprit! I suggest you move aside, now, before we have a fight here." He glanced at Tarwethial before turning his attention back to the dinlander. With irritation, he lowered his hand, the one near the sword, and started to walk past the dinlander. "You don't have anything to do with the magisprits, do you? I really don't see the point of you blocking my path."

He made to pass the dinlander. The stranger had said he'd bar his path, but he wasn't entirely sure. Sure, he seemed to have some sort of magic, but Aaren was confident in his sword, and his own ability to wield it. He kept a wary eye on the dinlander, though, more uncertain about his ability in comparison.

Darin was about to come up with a clever response when shadows oozed into the area. They took the form of a man, and then things got bad. The guy, in one big, uninterrupted, toneless burst of information, revealed that he was sheltering Magispirits.

Darin wasn't happy.

The man at the other end of the path appeared stymied for a second as the shadow guy vanished; Darin making a mental note to just jam a sword through this damn fool's torso the next time he saw him. When Aaren spoke again, Darin said nothing, his fave crowing grimmer. The little whelp made a move to pass him--bad decision. No sooner had Aaren moved to pass the Dinlander's flank than Darin's arm shot out, catching the human swordsman hard in the throat. Daren was a blur at this moment; lifting Aaren up by the lapels of his shirt and slamming him against the nearest tree trunk before dropping him and letting him sink to the forest floor.

"Last warning." Darin said, all joviality gone from his voice now. "You and your friend turn around--now--or I kill you both here. You have thirty seconds. Go."

Mr Destiny looked at the Heart-shaped Watch and smiled twistedly. He started walking into the direction where a fight was going on, and nothing was better then to watch a fight and maybe even mess with the ones fighting. He had always loved to mess with that kind of to mess with that kind of things. He wouldn't miss a fight at all.

As he neared, he stopped in the shadows and looked at Aaren, and Darin and smirked. He clutched the Watch close to his chest and played with it for a bit. This would be an intresting fight for sure. He just wished he had a bucket of popcorn now but he hadn't, he would get a bucket of popcorn after the fight and watch it again.

That was the fun of Time Travelling. He could do everything he wanted to do, not everything but he could mess with time as for example. He could go into the future or into the past, change a thing and come back to the present to see what had happened after he made the change. It was fun to mess with time.
