"I would have been aggressive too in your situation, I think she will forgive you. If not, it's not that hard to get a toddlers affection." Lyra winked at him as she got up to stretch her legs. She stretched her arms to the sky as she paced around Freya in a circle. She was physically and mentally prepare to let her bone wings come out from inside her body.

A bang came from the gun that Atreyu shot, she watched the bullet fly through the sky until the sun beamed so bright on the bullet it hurt her eyes. She closed her eyes to recover, looking down at Freya. She had suddenly sprawled out. "I know you think I'm a weak link because I'm human, but I think my hunting and sniper skills could come in handy around here. Till we get to shelter I will let you take the lead Lyra and I will keep an eye on Freya."

Lyra was taking off her bandages on her chest and her arm, revealing scarred burn marks under a glowing red tribal tattoo designs. She winced as she stood up, taking the bandages and stuffing them in the bucket to clean them. The water felt so good on her hidden arm that was finally getting air."Your species is so cruel. So power driven that they result in violence rather than simple communication. Would you like to become something better than a human?" As Atreyu was setting up a fire.

"Since, you call me eye candy Lyra, I wonder if the other creatures around here, think I'm eye candy worthy." His comment made Lyra let out a girly giggle. As she was finishing cleaning the bandages she hung them on a low tree branch, wrapping it a few times so the breeze wouldn't take it with the wind. "I guess we will see. I'm sure the three of us can handle it."

"Bring Little Freya closer to the fire, so she doesn't get cold, go ahead and rest her head on my pack." Lyra listened lifting Freya up, she carried Freya to the fire and laid her head on his bag.

While Atreyu was doing something with the bird he caught Lyra decided to set up a warning circle to any other species that meant to do them harm. Her mother taught her that their species' blood was so potent it could ward off almost anything. It smelled of death and gave off a dangerous aura. All she had to do was drip blood around the campsite to activate it. This wasn't something that would be an issue for Lyra because she healed fairly quickly.

Once she was done she came back just in time to see Atreyu starting to eat the bird, but Freya woke up suddenly and slapped it out of his hands. She tried not to make a joke however she couldn't help it. She looked up at Atreyu happily when he spoke Osiris's name."Osiris is not a nice guy. In order for me to live I have to give him the corpses of every kill. One day when I'm full of tattoos I will be a god. It's just going to take centuries to get there." Lyra told Atreyu.

"Let's see if your capable of possessing the seal first." Lyra told Ayretu, Freya made a high pitch sound as she jumped up excitely."Your obsession with Horus is unhealthy." She told her daughter, grabbing her head and pushing her away.

Lyra held her arms out, palms up as she closed her eyes and whispered to Horus. Her entire body started to hover over the spot she stood. The tattoo covering her scarred arm slowly started glowing brighter, it started to burn her arm, small blood drops fell to the ground floor as she opened her eyes a bright gleam came down from the sky, it disappeared fast revealing Horus in his shiny armor towering over Lyra like a giant.

Lyra bowed to him but Horus unexpectedly wrapped his arms around her, Freya screaming as she ran to them and used Lyra to climb up Horus. He let go of Lyra who could barely move for a moment."I feel like all the air was squished out of my lungs." She said as she turned to look at Atreyu, reaching her hand out towards him."Horus, could you please give this brave human the gift of sight." She asked looking at Atreyu the the whole time, she smiled big for him, her eyes going from bright yellow to bright red as she turned back at Horus.

"For you, I will." Horus replied, he walked to Atreyu and placed the tip of his staff on Atreyu's neck. A bright light came on. Lyra moved quickly to hold Atreyu up through the amount of pain he was experiencing at the current moment. She leaned her head against his, "I know it hurts, I'm sorry. I should have asked you first." She told him, holding his arms behind his back, her chest and arms pushing him forwards so he would stay standing up.

Once Horus was done he stepped back, Freya hopped down from around his neck and he bowed before his appearance faded into the background. Lyra let Atreyu go slowly helping him sit down. She sat beside him, handing him some more fruit from out of the bag. "Now I have a little more faith that you can be the hero. You can focus in on one object, I watched the bullet fly through the sky that you shot earlier. You will learn how to see things from miles away." She told him leaning on him a little, her arm was almost completely healed from calling Horus down.

The uneasy feeling in Lyra's stomach suddenly came again, her back also ached, her wings needed to come out. Lyra stepped into the forest while Atreyu's attention was on the great god of the air. She walked off for a good 5 miles, until even her good hearing couldn't hear her little family. She rested her hand on a nearby tree as she started to vomit silver blood, Lyra cried silently until her eyes were red and burning. Her immune system was failing and she didn't know how to get this human weapon out of her body.

The main reason she had left without a word was because when it was time to let her wings out or back in she couldn't stand to do it in front of people. She couldn't take the look on their faces while they watched something so horrifying, and there was nothing they could do to help her. It all came naturally to her, the price she paid for being born. Lyra hugged the tree continuing to cry as her bones started to crack and break within her body. Her cries out were quiet, something she had trained herself to do when it was time for her to morph into something else. Bones ripped through the muscle and the skin in between her shoulder blades. They slowly started to grow, unfolding themselves into long wings that stretched out three times her arm length.

While Lyra was off, taking a moment to herself Horus stepped in front of Atreyu as he held the human's shoulder. He blocked Atreyu from going after Lyra with no doubt that he was either worried or had used his new gift to see where and what Lyra was doing. Horus had done the same thing in search for where Lyra had disappeared too. "There are some things that you will find need to be done in private." He told Atreyu.

"Lyra may have wanted to take your ultimatum for receiving this gift. It is supposed to be strictly your burden to carry, I believe that the two of you will need each other to survive on any planet. I am giving you and Lyra a linking curse, you will be able to see, feel, hear, sense and communicate to each other. You will experience everything they are going through. You both will have the unlikely fate to be able to sense each others emotions, needs and even thoughts one day." The god of the air told Atreyu. There is no limits to this curse, it will improve for better as the time between you increases. I will leave you in charge of relying the message to Lady Lyrica as well." With that Horus flew straight up into the sky, disappearing into the clouds

Lyra pushed herself up as they started to grow skin and eventually ivory feathers that were so soft water rolled off them. Lyra wiped her mouth as her ivory feathered wings curled up making it easier to walk around in the forest without hitting her wings on every other tree branch or tree stump. As Lyra walked back she had a weird feeling in her chest, like something was pulling her in one direction. She couldn't make out what it was, shaking the feeling from her mind she continued to walk back to Atreyu and Freya.

A memory popped up in her head, of first getting Freya. She went in for a yearly examination on her birthday and the doctor had told her that she could receive a free 'spawn'. Not knowing much about what a spawn was she accepted in the doctors using her DNA to create a spawn. She remembers the doctor bringing in a new born baby in the next two hours of her doctor's appointment. She couldn't believe it worked that way, there was another way if someone didn't have a companion to make children with.

As Lyra got closer to Atreyu and Freya she suddenly felt like she couldn't wait to see Atreyu again, almost like the happy feeling wasn't coming from her. She ignored it as she came into the circle of the campsite. Atreyu and Freya were the only two there. She looked panicked, that meant Horus already have the ultimatum to Atreyu."I apologize for suddenly disappearing. I needed a moment to myself."

"Lyra are you okay?" Atreyu asked, but it was to late Lyra had already disappeared into the tree line. Thinking to himself,'I hope everything is okay.'

"My Lord Horus, I thought that you had returned to your home. But I must go after Lyra to make sure she isn't hurt. Please my Lord, let me just check on her." Atreyu's words had fallen on deaf eyes. In reply Horus said this"There are some things that you will find need to be done in private." With a deep sigh Atreyu responded"I understand your Lordship."

You both will have the unlikely fate to be able to sense each others emotions, needs and even thoughts one day." The God of Air told AtreyuThere is no limits to this curse, it will improve for better as the time between you increases. I will leave you in charge of relying the message to Lady Lyrica as well." "Before you leave Lord Horus, may I ask you a single question?" "You may ask this one question of me." color=blue]"My one question is this, I recognize the symbol in the middle of my seal, but my Lord what does the writing say, I am not proficient in Sanskrit." Atreyu asked in a inquisitive manner."You have so much to learn my child, but I will give you the meaning of the lettering, but this will be the only question i answer. Reading from bottom left corner clockwise, the seal reads as thus: For those who have chosen, I gift you this SIGHT, abuse this power and it will be your demise, use it for good and your aim will be TRUE. My child don't fret about Lyra, she is a lot stronger than she will let you believe. Now, use this gift WISELY and only for pure intention and you may be blessed by other Gods as well." Before Atreyu could even get a single vowel out, Horus had vanished.

color=green]"I apologize for suddenly disappearing. I needed a moment to myself." Lyra said as she emerged from the tree line. Without missing a beat Freya ran over to Lyra. Atreyu just stood there in awe of Lyra's towering ivory wings."That hit to my head must have been harder than I thought. Those are real wings right?" Atreyu asked.

"Of course they are real." Lyra laughed at Atreyu's stupid question as she emerged from the forest, Freya came up almost immediately to Lyra, following in her foot steps. "Would you like a lift or are you walking while we fly?" She asked sarcastically.

Atreyu matched her sarcastic tone while he said "Nah I'll take the long way."

Lyra laughed as she picked up the little bucket that Freya had made and handed it to Atreyu. "Alright, the stars are starting to come out now so we can get moving. Can you put this in your bag? When Atreyu took the bucket Lyra turned around, putting her hands on her hip at Freya. The little girl shyly picked up her little bag and looked at Lyra with a smile, but then quickly looked down to the ground wondering what she forgot, it took her a few moments but eventually she realized her wand was propped against a tree."There ya go.." Lyra commented.

"Go get ahead start Freya." Lyra told her, she watched the little girl take off, running and then jumping up and soaring off into in between the trees to get to the sky. Lyra turned to Atreyu, "Come on, get your stuff, we don't have all day." Lyra said shocked that Atreyu wasn't ready to go yet. She impatiently tapped her foot as Atreyu put his rifle and his bag over his shoulder. She walked up to Atreyu slowly, at first she stood in front of him, their faces almost touched by how close she was."If something starts attacking us I'm going to drop you and pick you back up before you hit the ground, try to shoot whoever is attacking us if this does happen. If you see Freya struggling, let her relax by holding her for as long as you can. She's still learning, and her wings are way too small for her body size. I'm honestly worried about that." Lyra said honestly as she turned Atreyu around, she put her arms around his upper arms and hoovered in the air. "Whew! Your heavy. Alright jump on three. One. Two. Three."

With Atreyu's jump they were able to take off, Lyra laughed like she had never been in the sky."Oh this feels great. Better than ..." She said as she lifted Atreyu close to her chest, her arms wrapped around his chest, her lips brushing against his neck as they soared through the sky. She didn't go to high for the fear that Atreyu wouldn't be able to breathe."So what was the ultimatum that Horus gave you?"

Lyra sighed as Atreyu told her the ultimatum, "We are linked? I am already immortal, I wonder if this means that your immortal too, probably not. But if we find another planet where the oxygen levels are too low for you to breathe or there's no oxygen at all, I might be able to take the damage for you. I can handle no oxygen for as long as it takes Freya to recharge to open another portal. This could be a good thing, and it could be a really bad thing. If i get tortured again you may not be able to take the amount of pain I can. The humans cut off my tail and i held in my scream so Freya wouldn't hear." She whispered into Atreyu's neck. She brushed her lips against his neck all the way up to his ear, she looked straight ahead at the city coming up in front of her."Should we just stop there and find an inn or should we search for the portal and take our chances with the next planet?" She asked Atreyu.
