Personality: Rei can be considered as a quiet and reserved person but in no way anti-social. He is kind and dependable and holds very little prejudice in him making him an easy person to befriend. He is pretty much comfortable with talking about anything except for the subject of his family as well as his past before his homecoming to Yamijima. He gets pretty sensitive when those topics are discussed so don't be surprised if he walks out on such conversations. Rei is good-natured but that doesn't mean that he's above being bad every now and then.

Ever since coming back to Yamijima, he has been very devoted to his family especially his younger sister, prioritizing them above everyone else. However he's still slightly awkward around Mina since the scars he left to the girl run deep.

Rei can be surprisingly brave when opportunity presents itself and can sometimes be reckless when it happens. Ever since he received his persona, he has promised himself that he will never turn a blind eye to anyone in need like he did so many years ago.

Rei has yet to discover his sexuality since he didn't have the time nor attention to spare for a relationship.

History: Rei was born and raised in Yamijima island. Growing up, life seemed pretty normal for the young man but things started to get chaotic in his adolescent years. His parents were constantly fighting and he and his younger sister, Mina, often got caught in the crossfire. Rei tried to tolerate his dysfunctional family for a time but he eventually reached a point where he just couldn't take it anymore. Despite his promise to his little sister that he was gonna stay with her and take care of her, he ran away from home and left Yamijima. Rei's family spiraled even deeper into chaos when he ran away and left a young Mina scarred and jaded.

2 years later, he heard that his father and mother had successfully severed their ties and Mina was left to his uncle's care. Deciding to atone for the sins and shortcomings to Mina, he moved back to Yamijima but his sister was less than enthusiastic to forgive him. Little did he know was that Mina wished him dead using the fukushuunetwork.com and he begins experiencing a series of nightmares. He struggled for his survival for several nights with each more traumatic than the last. The nightmares were slowly chipping on his faculties and not too long after, he started contemplating suicide. On what he believed to be "his last day", Rei tried his best to earn the forgiveness of his sister. It wasn't an easy task but they finally reconcile and Rei was surprised to find out that the nightmares were no more.

Other than that, he was contacted by a strange entity in his dream and asked his help in saving other people who were thrown into the murderous nightmare he experienced.

Persona Abilities: Ioannes is a support-oriented Persona thus his abilities focus on healing Rei and his companions as well as improving their fighting capabilities. His abilities revolve around him producing a special kind of water that can heal wounds and harm shadows. Here is a list of Ioannes' skills and abilities:

a. Baptismal Cleansing - Ioannes produces water that is able to heal wounds and ailments to a degree.

b. Purifying Gush - The water that Ioannes produces has negative effects on Shadows and he can project them into powerful streams from the ground or from himself.

c. Purifying Mist - Ioannes turns his water into mist that slowly heals his comrades while slowly chipping away at Shadows. Only works on weak shadows but is handy as an escape tactic.

d. Benevolent Sonar - Ioannes is one of the few Personas that can detect Shadows and Humans trapped in a Nightmare realm. However, the range of his sonar is limited and some shadows can still evade his detection.

e. Nurturing Maelstrom - Ioannes creates a shield made out of his water to block incoming attacks. This skill is very straining for Rei so he cannot keep this up for an extended period of time.

Persona Appearance:



Ioannes looks like a muscular male with robotic features. It's suit is black in color and has the same texture as a scuba outfit. His face is concealed in a headgear of sorts connected to what looks like an oxygen tank in his back through a tube. An antenna is attached to his headgear for sensing Shadows as well as nearby people in nightmare realms.

1. Rei currently works at "The Flying Pig", a well known fast food restaurant in Yamijima. The restaurant's specialty is the "Pink Noodles" which is basically noodles with pork and strawberry jam. Rei absolutely hates this dish.

2. Rei's favorite food is beef instant noodles with crushed barbecue flavored potato chips: his cheap version of a barbecue bowl. His favorite drink is chocolate milk tea.

3. Rei is a big horror fan and has an extensive collection of Japanese horror movies, novels, and some games.

4. Rei's favorite animal is a pig. It's also the reason why he chose to work where does today.
