Personality: Lucius is manipulative, willing to tear apart entire nations to get what he wants. He has no morals, save one: Never harm a child. Other than that rule, however, he allows himself to do however he sees fit, from murder to torture to mistreating a duck that looked at him funny. He is rarely trusting of people, only opening up to those he's comfortable with, becoming a warm, caring guy, if you can call a guy who will decapitate you for possession of something he desires "caring". When confronted in combat, he does little fighting, preferring to make the opponent attack smoke and mirrors, only moving in when he knows they're weak.
Background: Lucius was born blind in a small household of an average family. The odd thing was that no matter who the mage was, no one could heal this blindness. As he grew up, he began experiencing flashes of vision, even through his blindfold. He soon realized that the magic he'd questioned all his life had taken his eyes and given him a new gift, the gift of true sight. No magic could fool his eyes anymore, and his own specialty arose at that time as well: the art of trickery, using his illusions to fool those who wronged him into repenting, as well as the usual tricks of a teenage boy. He soon was framed for the murder of one of the local townsfolk, a ploy done by the father of a girl he had turned down that had killed herself. As he sat in the jail, he first let it be known by others he could deceive by making his cell look empty, and when those in charge came to investigate, he slipped out behind them, slammed the door shut, and made them think they had lost the key. He then found out who HAD killed the person(the father), went to their house, and began using his illusions to haunt them until they had driven themselves to suicide like their daughter had. With a kill like that, Lucius realized he could do some serious damage in a war, if not assassination, and became a very successful information broker, among other things, using his talent for manipulation without mesmerization to get what he wanted out of people.
Magic Specificity: Illusory, Lucius is capable of making even the most strong-minded of beings see his lies, and even causing weaker-willed enemies to actually feel pain and even die due to his false assaults. The strength of his magic depends on how mentally shaken his opponent is, if they fear nothing, then they will escape unharmed. If they've been broken by him... Well, they can even believe they've already died. Due to his power being trickery, he can make himself appear to be any form of mage he desires, from an ice wielder to the holiest of paladins. Needless to say, the possibilities are near-limitless.
Weapons: An enchanted staff that hides two rather large cleavers, one on each end. Her name is Elise, and she doesn't like it when people try to hurt Lucius.
