This is a private role-play between myself and Cereus. We have been encountered with the fact that no posts in our role-plays so we have decided to make one together. Possible roles may be available but you must be active as we don't want the same thing to happen to this role-play.

With a few twists from our minds this role-play is somewhat similar to desire99600's role-play 'The Drive'. Like that role-play it will be on the road but plot twists are different and they have different stories. We would like to say thank you to desire99600 for inspiring us to make this role-play.
Midland, Virginia, one of the smallest towns that you will ever run across with only 218 people, this town doesn't have much to speak about and nothing interesting really happens. That's why these 2 out of 218 are packing up and leaving town.
Straight up abandoning everything they know and love, these two girls are unprepared for what lies ahead. Both girls, friends since they were just children, made a pinky promise that they always be there for each other and never let anyone force them to be something they are not.
One is being told to be more serious, her imaginative processes are being stopped. They say she needs to focus on college, a future, a family. All she needs is her car and her best friend and she's ready to face anything in the world.
The other completely different. It's amazing how these girl's became friends in the first place. Serious and uptight, always thinking about her future, she is told by almost everyone to lighten up, have a heart and experience things while she is still young.
When the car breaks down in another town farther away from their home, they are stuck for a week.
Two males. Bitter enemies. When they meet these two girls, it seems that they share something in common. Care and love for the girls. What will this summer hold in store for young hearts?

It was really early in the morning but that wasn't stopping Sienna from having a great first day of summer. The morning started out with waking at 5:00 in the morning and checking her phone. No messages, no calls and nothing to do. She sat on her bed for a while before she got up and dressed quickly, throwing on a really pretty floral summer dress with pink and green flowers on it. She swiped some sun glasses off her dresser then opened the window. She had worn her converse so it wasn't going to be hard to drop out the window and into the early morning air. Luckily, her window didn't have a rose bush under it, much like her older brother's. She giggled as she dropped out, her dress flying up and her shoulder purse following behind her. She wasn't going to let this be a boring summer. No way hose, not on her watch.
The streets were dark but she didn't mind. No one was up and 6:00 in the morning to drive down the deserted streets of her town. She skipped down the middle of the street, having no particular destination. She smiled as she continued. She watched her surroundings. Around her small crickets were singing in the wet grass on the lawns of her neighbors. She could name everyone on her street. Miss Delany lived in 150 Longstalk Ln. She seemed to have problems with men. Always having them bang on her door at obnoxious times in the morning. Then there was the Falon family. George Falon and his two little girls. They were so cute! It made Sienna wish for her own little sister but she only had two brothers and an older best friend. But it was her life and she wouldn't trade it for nothing.
She had walked down the street long enough to get to the corner cafe. She burst into the cafe and smiled at the woman standing behind the counter. "Hello Auntie Lara!" She called and smiled then gave the woman a great big hug. She laughed with the woman as she sat down on one of the stools. "So how are you spending your summer this year?" She asked as she slid a cup of hot cocoa over to her then took the cinnamon sprinkler and sprinkled it over top of the whipped cream."I don't really know yet." She said and then took a sip of the cocoa. "Thank you Auntie." She said then they made small conversation until she had finished the cocoa and then went to get some money out. "Don't worry about it sweetie." She called then cleaned up the cup. Sienna smiled then kissed her aunt on the cheek.
She walked outside of the cafe then found herself walking back home. Light was coming out and her younger brother was sitting on the grass. "Andrew...? What are you doing?" She asked and he replied, "I'm watching grass grow." Sienna looked confused then sighed. "Whatever floats your boat then." She walked inside then dropped her purse on the coffee table. She then jumped over and landed onto the couch. She flicked the television on and started watching Switched at Birth.

No one would've ever thought Amber capable of planning such a trip - but she did. She had everything down on paper ready to go. Ever since they were little they wanted to go somewhere together, and it was even more vital now that they would do so. Once summer was over she would be packing her bags to go to Switzerland to study abroad, away from her family, but most importantly - her best friend. A wise man once told her that nothing is more valuable than time, and she was beginning to believe it. Waking up at exactly 6:23 AM, she quickly got ready. Putting on blue denim shorts, a light green blouse, and her favorite cardigan to go over it, she was ready to take on the day. Well other then for the fact she needed to quick do her makeup. When she looked "acceptable" to societies eyes she loaded her things into her car. When she first got it they named it "Ladybug" as it is all red.
Not one, not two, but 3 suitcases and a large bag were put into the trunk of her car. Thank god her trunk was seemingly endless. There was still enough room for anything Sisi needed to bring along as well. Saying goodbye to her Mother and Father in bed, she left the house - ready to not come back. Living in a small town she knew everyone, and everyone knew her. With it being so early in the morning, she was almost afraid Sienna wouldn't be up. If she wasn't, she would be up as soon as she learned of Amber's big plans. On the pieces of paper she put in her back pocket were all the places where they were going to go, things she wanted to for sure see, and famous places to visit. In her suitcases were outfits for every occasion, makeup for all needs, and enough hair binders to go around.
She took her sweet time driving over. A canister of coffee in her cup holder, her iPhone connected to the car - playing her favorite music, she was in heaven. Amber knew however that it would only get better when her friend was here.
Arriving at Sienna's house, she took a deep breath and parked the car in Sienna's driveway. Walking to the front door she opened it with the spare key she had. Yes, they were that close.
"Okay before you start asking questions, no I'm not on drugs, no I'm not drunk, and no, no boy news" Amber smiled, seeing her friend dressed on the living room couch watching her favorite show. She took the paper from her back pocket and threw it into Sisi's lap.
"Look through that, tell me what you think, and a packing list is in the back" Amber quickly said, her smile still large - showing off her well cleaned teeth.
"I know it sounds a bit crazy, and more your style of idea, but I thought...okay just read the damn things" she awkwardly stated before sitting next to her best friend.

Sienna was surprised when the door opened and then her friend spoke up. Before she could even say hello, her friend began to speak. "Okay before you start asking questions, no I'm not on drugs, no I'm not drunk, and no, no boy news. Look through that, tell me what you think, and a packing list is in the back." She was handed a list that listed tons of destinations across the United States. Museum tours, theater shows, amusement parks. She gazed at the list in awe as see looked at the bottom, seeing that their final destination was Seattle, Washington. "I know it sounds a bit crazy, and more your style of idea, but I thought...okay just read the damn things." She smiled then spoke. "This is so awesome! I can't even believe you put this together!" She jumped up, gripping the paper in her hand and hugging her friend around the neck. "Well, I'm gonna go pack now." She replied, standing on the couch and then jumping onto the ground.
She ran upstairs, passing her brother as he headed downstairs. "What is up with her?" He questioned Amber while the girl began hastily putting clothes in her suitcase. She had a trio of suitcases. One was for her dresses and hair accessories, another for shorts and other fashionable items that she would wear. The third was her hygiene products and her laptop. Her heart was just pumping one hundred miles an hour. Before she closed her suitcases, she looked outside and saw the beautiful red bug that she had gotten so accustomed to riding in.
She looked at the piece of paper, just gazing at everything she had planned out. She went back to the day they made that promise. They were a good 8 years old and Sienna had just arrived into town and Amber was her only friend. "I promise that I will always be there for you whenever you feel alone." Yes, it seemed like a very deep promise for these children of only 8 and 9 years old to make but they meant it. They would be friends till the end of time and never leave the other hanging. She snapped out of her trance and then folded the piece of paper and set it on the bed before she zipped her suitcases up. It was time to get the present out that she had gotten for Amber.
She let her two clothing suitcases roll down the stairs by themselves and then pulled her laptop one down the stairs. "I'm ready." She smiled then Nathaniel grabbed the two suitcases. "Oh she's leaving finally! I'll do anything to help get her out of here." She glared at her brother then sneak attack licked him all the way up his face. She giggled then headed out to the car, softly laying her suitcase in then taking the other two and putting them in as well. "I'm almost ready. Just have to go get something." She ran up the stairs to her room and was about to grab the piece of paper that the trip was on when she saw her small dream catcher. She smiled then took it off the wall, heading downstairs with it. "Here. We can hang this in the car for good luck." She smiled her always dumb smile as the dream catcher spun around, feathers dangling.

Amber sat on the couch patiently, watching Separated at Birth since it was on. She turned slightly when she heard Sisi's brother speak.
"She just got rewarded the trip of a life time" Amber smiled. Amber was very familiar with all of Sisi's family - as they spent most of their time together since they were young. She couldn't stop smiling after her friend left. That reaction was typical Sisi, and it was one of the reasons she loved her. Sisi was so excitable, unlike Amber. Not saying the girl didn't get excited, she just doesn't express it as wildly as her friend does.
On the paper everything was planned to a T. Amber knew what hotels to go to, where to eat, where to do fun things, the whole shebang. There was an ounce of pride in herself knowing she was able to plan such an extensive trip. She had her parents to thank for a lot of the ideas. With her Mother being a stewardess, and Father being a Doctor - money wasn't tight, and neither was their knowledge of other places.
The promise they made to one another always held dear in Amber's heart. She was a sucker for sentiment. Around her finger she twirled her diamond heart necklace her Father had given her. Amber looked up from the T.V when she heard Sisi yell.
"I'm ready." her friend said as she carried her things down the stairs. Amber was grateful Nate was helping Sienna get her things. Knowing Sisi she probably packed for a year - and not a few months. A face of disgust was clear on Amber's face when Sisi licked her brother.
"You don't know where his face has been. Nasty woman" Amber said, her face returning to a normal small smile.
"I'm almost ready. Just have to go get something." Sisi said before running off back up the stairs. Amber shook her head as she got up off the couch, leaning in the doorway of their house. When she saw the beautiful dream catcher, her smile widened once again. Amber felt by the end of the day her face would be stuck in a smile.
"That's awesome, thanks. Though I heard that the cops can pull you over if you have something blocking your view through the front window..." Amber said, the last part becoming more of a mumble. Amber took the dream catcher gently from Sisi, and placed it on the rear view mirror. The feathers danced lightly as it spun from the movement.
"It we get a ticket - you're paying" Amber sighed when she placed it, standing back from her car.
"Say your goodbyes, because I'm hoping to get to the hotel by dark" Amber smiled slightly, closing the trunk of the car.

She rolled out onto the grass, her head laying in her brother's lap. "Love you. See you whenever I come back, if I come back." Her brother kissed her nose. "See ya big sis." She jumped up and looked at Nathaniel. "Um... I'm sorry I licked your face?" She apologized uncertain if he was mad at her or not. When she was approached with a hug, she knew he wasn't. "Don't tell mom or dad okay? At least... Not outright. Let me get out of state first." He nodded then she made sure she had everything. Pocket mirror? Check. Phone? Check. Phone Charger? Check. Wallet with driver's licence, credit card and other monetary values? Check! She was ready to go. Ready to face the world with her best friend by her side. She walked around the car then got into the passenger's seat. She assumed her position after plugging her charger into her phone. Her position you ask? Bare feet on the dash while she played little games on her phone.
They were on the road once Amber got in the driver's seat. She knew deep down that Amber would not allow her to drive much because, while her driving wasn't unsafe, it was very unpleasant. She just really looked out the window after 30 minutes of playing on her phone. She watched trees pass by then watched as they came into a more urban area with restaurants and other attractions. "Hey! Hey Amby. Can we stop and get something to drink? Or does that not fit on your oh so powerful list of amazing accomplishments?" She said this jokingly of course, not meaning to cause any hurt. She pulled the said list out of her purse and gazed at it. "So we are going to a zoo in Kentucky first? Can we get there before sunset? Because I highly doubt that you can sleep while I drive."
She was completely and brutally honest about the subject of her lack of skills except for the one where she could make people laugh. She had always been like that. Not very smart, not dumb though. Not very pretty, but not ugly either. She had always been in between on everything. She knew this skill but not enough to make a career out of it. The only thing that her classmates could see her being was a comedian. She just rolled with it because it seemed like the only thing that was hers. She looked over at Amby with her puppy dog eyes and her pouty face on. "Please?" She pleaded the older female.

Amber laughed slightly at her friend when she was saying her goodbyes. Amber sat in the drivers seat patiently as they hugged one another. The dream catcher on the rear view mirror was a nice touch to the car. As Sienna got into the passenger side, she moved her things to her "designated" side, giving Sienna enough room for her items as well. Looking at Sienna as she backed up out of the their driveway she rolled her eyes.
"I'll have to grab disinfectant wipes from the gas station with your nasty feet on my dash" she said, trying her best to keep a straight face.
Amber was a very "by the law" kind of driver. She doesn't speed, run red lights, or make illegal U-turns. It just isn't in her nature. On the other hand, Sienna driving was pure danger. With her friends sharp turns and sharp breaks, she always said a prayer before entering the car with her.
It was a relatively boring drive getting out of town. All farm land and animal pastures. It wasn't terrible though, although there did come a time she swore a skunk was at the side of the road. The small sounds of Sisi's phone and her music playing on the radio made the time bearable.
"Hey! Hey Amby. Can we stop and get something to drink? Or does that not fit on your oh so powerful list of amazing accomplishments?" she heard Sisi joke. Amber scoffed.
"I think my powerful list of 'amazing accomplishments' may have room for a quick snack break. That is a good idea though, I'm feeling rather parched" Amber replied, looking around the town they had entered. Cute stores, small art galleries, and candy shops lined the sidewalks. A gas station was nearby as well, and to be safe Amber wanted to fill her car up completely.
"So we are going to a zoo in Kentucky first? Can we get there before sunset? Because I highly doubt that you can sleep while I drive." Sisi asked from the passenger side. Amber shrugged.
"We can get to the hotel by sunset if that's what your asking. We'll hit the zoo in the morning once we arrive. I have a feeling it'll be another 7 hours till we hit the hotel I have booked. As for you driving - if you look carefully in those papers I put in bold that you aren't allowed to drive unless I'm dying, or physically wounded" Amber spoke.
Amber parked the car by the gas pump and got out.
"Will gas station beverages quench your need? Because we don't have a lot of time to stop. If you'll run in there can you grab me sour gummy worms and one of those iced coffee things you know I love?" Amber asked as she put money into the gas machine and it started working. To mock Sisi from earlier, Amber batted her long lashes.
"Please?" she smiled.

Sienna nearly bounced out of the car, taking her purse with her. She ran in, not paying mind that there was no one else in the gas station. She picked up one of those basket thingys that you hold and stuff then went for the drinks first. She grabbed Amber's iced coffee thing then grabbed herself a Minute Maid Fruit Punch. She then found her way to the snack and candy aisle. She grabbed 3 packs of gummy worms, 2 large bags of red twizzlers and then looked at the rest of the aisle. She also grabbed some Chex Mix along with a can of original Pringles.
Food, food and more food found its way into the basket she was holding until it could hold no more. She then went to the register and the cashier bagged the items. Only a few minutes later, Sienna was stumbling out of the gas station, holding two large brown paper bags that held all the items she bought. She walked to the car and set the stuff on the hood to rest her arms. She could feel Amber's eyes giving her a piercing stare, the legendary Amby Devil Stare. "Awe, come on. Don't look at me that way. I'm just planning ahead so we don't have to stop again." She explained as she pulled out the items she had just recently bought. "See? All our favorites! Including our favorite type of chips." She stated motioning to the Pringles. She could feel her friend's gaze lighten. She put everything in the bag and then pulled out a blue package. "Oh, and baby wipes." She giggled then brought the two bags into the car.
They fit right down at her feet and she could easily reach them this way. She then pulled her head out of the car and went to talk to Amby while the gas was still pumping. "So I can drive if you get a paper cut? Or if you twist your ankle?" She knew the answer to these questions but it was just her way of getting Amber to laugh. As the gas pumped, she laid across the hood of the car. Her brilliant smile was prominent as she just watched her friend. "So what kind of animals will we see at the zoo? Will there be elephants? They're my favorite."

Sienna came back as quick as she left, with two bags bigger than her in her arms. Amber knew her devil stare was out, but it was okay. What was Sienna thinking, grabbing all that food?
"Awe, come on. Don't look at me that way. I'm just planning ahead so we don't have to stop again." Sisi said, showing Amber the various items she had gotten them. Her expression calmed slightly, but still remained.
"See? All our favorites! Including our favorite type of chips." Sisi added with a grin, showing her the cans of Pringles. Amber wasn't one to stay mad, and a small smile appeared on her face. She almost lost it when Sienna pulled out baby wipes.
"I can't believe you. See this is why I love you...and question you 99% percent of the time" Amber laughed as her friend put the food in the front seat, and laid across the hood of "The Ladybug".
"So I can drive if you get a paper cut? Or if you twist your ankle?" Sienna asked, her cute smile still on her face. Amber quickly shook her head.
"You can drive when my legs get amputated, or if I'm unconscious" Amber replied, shaking the nozzle of the gas pump slightly.
"So what kind of animals will we see at the zoo? Will there be elephants? They're my favorite." Sisi said as she climbed off the hood, seeing the car was filled.
"I don't know. I heard the zoo there is brilliant. Maybe they can keep you there as well" she teased as she began driving once more
There wasn't much in the terms of scenery, but again, the music kept her company. Along with Sienna who was playing on her phone, and making herself look like a walrus by sticking Twizzlers in her mouth. After a several hours of driving, bad jokes, and lectures from Amber - they arrived at the hotel for the night. She specifically picked a Holiday Inn. Amber hated tiny, unkempt motels. She had to admit they made better time then expected. She looked forward to the next day. The zoo would be a fun place to go to. Amber especially liked the monkeys.
Taking her bags out of the trunk and putting them onto the carrier she sighed.
"We're about 15 minutes from the zoo. We can take it easy in the morning, go to the zoo, then hit the road once more" she said, putting Sisi's suitcases onto the carrier as well.
"Don't leave the food in the car, it'll taste funny in the morning" she said as she dragged the large cart in, and got their key card for their room.

As they entered the Holiday Inn, Sienna set the food bags on the carrier as well. She was tired, as traveling did that to most people. The ballerina bun that her hair was in this morning had frayed off and strands of hair were falling all around her face. They had gotten here in record time and she was ready for a little bit of conversation before they found themselves nestling up in bed. They made it up the floors in the elevator with the bellhop person. He took them to the 3rd floor, room 345. 45th room on the third floor. She opened the door and ran into the room grabbing all the pillows off of one bad and throwing them onto the other. "SLEEPOVER!" She knew that before the night was over someone would call for a noise complaint but she didn't mind.
The night went pretty smoothly. They didn't unpack much but she got her computer while Amber was in the shower, as well as her ice cream plaid pajama shorts and crop top that said I scream for ice cream. She waited until Amber finished in the bathroom then she flew inside, taking her towel and pajama's with her. It was a normal shower, well... except that Sienna was freaking out about how cute the tiny cleanliness products were. She had finished then stepped out into the steamy room that was considered a bathroom. She dried herself off then dressed and grabbed her brush, brushing her hair. "Would you braid my hair?" She asked actually serious now, and the first calm question she asked all day. As she sat looking towards the window with her computer on her lap while Amber braided her hair into pigtails, she thought of how much fun she had on just the first day. And they hadn't even gone anywhere yet!
When Amber had finished braiding her hair, she shut down her computer and got up, turning the AC on high. She jumped onto the bed that her and Amber were sharing and snuggled up. Around the room, both the girl's phones were plugged in, a small bag of gummy worms lay open on the nearby desk and a small bag of clothes had accumulated because they were dirty. Hopefully Amber had scheduled laundry stops along the way. She snuggled into her side of the bed and slowly fell asleep, leaving Amber awake.
{ 16 May, 2014 | 8:14 A.M | On The Road | Day 2 }
The bellhop must have heard Sienna's wild outburst because of the strange look he gave Amber has she tipped him. When the bellhop had left, she pulled her suitcase onto her designated bed, the one with all the pillows on it.
"You know he heard you right? Keep it down - I don't want to get kicked out because someone is too noisy" Amber scolded, going back to the door to make sure it was locked.
"Try not to burn the hotel down while I take a shower" Amber said as she found clothes to change into in her suitcase, bringing it with her into the bathroom. The girl let out a sigh of content when the warm water washed over her. Amber has always liked showers, or water in general. She had brought her own hygiene products, as she didn't like that hotels only gave you tiny samples. With her hair now smelling like pomegranates she put on the lilac colored tank top and grey sweatpants she had laid out for herself. Coming back into the rest of the hotel Sisi flew past her to get into the bathroom.
"I never have figured out how you have so much energy" Amber mumbled, throwing some pillows that were on her bed onto the floor. Amber laid in bed reading the book she had gotten before the trip. A murder mystery of course.
"Would you braid my hair?" Sienna asked, making Amber look up from her book.
"Sure, come here. Do you have hair binders?" Amber asked, Sienna put them by Amber's knee before sitting in front of her. She chose braided pigtails to put into her friends hair, and when she was done she smiled, returning to her book. She felt Sienna climb into bed and Amber shifted over to give the girl more room. After minutes she heard Sisi's slight mumbles in her sleep. Looking at the clock to see it being almost 11, she decided to throw the towel in as well, shutting her book and marking her page with a Polaroid photo of Sienna and herself. She sank further into the bed and dozed off right beside her best friend.
Around 8:00 she woke up, her eyes blinking rapidly at the amount of sun pouring into the room in the cracks of the curtains. She had Sienna grabbing her arm, and gently tried to pull it away. After many attempts, Sienna finally let go, allowing Amber to go and get ready. She'd give the girl a few more minutes of sleep as she began looking through her suitcase on what she wanted to wear next. She went with a green flowing top with white shorts. Picking a cute owl necklace and earrings to go along. Grabbing her makeup from her suitcase, she went into the bathroom to start her morning routine.

Dreaming was always Sienna's favorite part about sleeping. Anything could happen without any consequences in dreams because they were not real. Only a figment of one's imagination. She had rumbled around in the bed a little that night but her braided pigtails seemed to stay perfect. That was just part of Amber's handiwork. She heard the female get out of the bed beside her and curled herself into a little ball. This was Sienna's I-don't-want-to-get-up-so-you're-going-to-have-to-make-me position. It didn't take long for Amber to notice and she quickly drug the female out of bed and Sienna groaned. She then went over to her suitcase, which was laying on the other pillowless bed. She sat down and rumbled through it. She found a magenta crop top that had a bread slice with peanut butter and a bread slice with jelly about to hug. She put it on and then grabbed a pair of denim shorts as well. "Are we coming back here after the zoo or are we packing everything up and leaving straight from the zoo?" She questioned, putting on a pair of cute sandals.
She walked over to the desk and sat on top of it, looking into the food bag as she pulled out a handful of gummy worms. She put two in her mouth and then started chewing. She swallowed then added to her question. "Oh and what's for breakfast?" She then noticed that they were loading their stuff on the trolley so she packed everything up and set it on the trolley then grabbed her phone and charger and put it in her purse. She grabbed the food bags as well and they were headed down to the car. They loaded everything up in the car then assumed their normal positions. Amber as driver and Sienna as the excited passenger. She started the car and then they were off on the road again. "To the zoo!" She smiled as her feet went to the dash again.
It took them about 15 minutes to get to the zoo and there weren't many people there either. Sienna smiled as she got out of the car and put her phone back in her purse. "You know. Truth be told, I've never been to the zoo, well, until now that is." They approached the ticket booth thing and bought two tickets. Inside there were all kinds of animals and the best part... food. Sienna grabbed a thing of peanuts for her and Amber to share while they walked around the zoo, observing the animals.

After putting on her makeup and seeing Sienna still hadn't got up she went to the foot of the bed. Sienna was curled into a little ball, and Amber knew what that meant.
"Time to get up" Amber said before pulling the blankets away from Sienna and pulling on her foot. Sienna finally got up with a little sigh and went over to her suitcase to get ready. Amber had a side braid in her hair and was ready to go.
"Are we coming back here after the zoo or are we packing everything up and leaving straight from the zoo Sienna asked while she was putting on her sandals.
"Nope, I have the trolley outside our door. After the zoo we're on the road again!" Amber said as she began putting her makeup bag back in her suitcase, and making sure she wasn't leaving anything.
"Oh and what's for breakfast?" Amber heard Sienna ask as she loaded her suitcases onto the trolley.
"Whatever we feel like. I'm thinking we eat at the zoo or something" she answered, dragging the trolley down to the lobby out to their car. She turned in their motel key card and smiled at the woman behind the desk that told them to have a nice time. Loading their things back into the car and taking a few gummy worms from Sienna she got back in the drivers seat, ready to take on the world with her best friend at her side.
"To the zoo!" Sienna exclaimed, kicking her feet back onto the dash. Amber smiled, cranking up the music in the car for the short drive they had to the zoo.
Amber parked the car in the zoo parking lot which was rather empty.
"Looks like we'll pretty much have the zoo to ourselves" Amber grinned while putting her phone in her back pocket. She grabbed her purse from the back seat and exited the car along with Sienna, clicking the lock button on her car keys twice for good measure.
"You know. Truth be told, I've never been to the zoo, well, until now that is." Sienne said, surprising Amber.
"Really? I've only gone to one when I was out visiting my Grandma is California" Amber stated, taking her phone from her pocket.
"We need to take some photos, come here and take one with me" she said to Sienna, ushering her friend. They took the photo by the entrance of the zoo. Amber grinned at how well it turned out, and set it as her new phone background.
They walked through the zoo slowly. Sienna showed excitement on her face, pointing at every animal they passed. Although Amber didn't look as excited, she was happy. Taking a few peanuts from Sienna they stopped at the elephant habitat. When she saw there was also an elephant baby, she only knew what Sienna's reaction would be. She braced herself for a squeal or loud excited noise she knew was coming.

"We need to take some photos, come here and take one with me."The photo came out well and Sienna was going to take one later. They ran around the zoo like mad children, not running into one human being other than each other. When they made it to the elephant cage, Sienna was bubbling with excitement but when she saw the baby elephant, all that energy exploded. She squealed lightly, running over to the fence where the baby was standing. "It's soooo cute!!" She cried and the elephant seemed to understand her comment. She held out a peanut for the animal and he ate it with glee. The elephant then poked at both Sienna and Amber with it's trunk, almost as if scouring for food. Sienna laughed a lot because it tickled her. She walked around the cage for a few minutes before a worker came out into the enclosure. "Hey, we could give you guys a ride if you want. Can't we Jaka?" He ended with speaking to the large elephant who seemed to be the little elephant's mother. Sienna glanced over at Amber and when she confirmed that they could she jumped over the fence. She was ready to take a ride on her favorite animal. Gosh darn it. She was 17 and she had never rode an elephant before?
Sienna was the first one on and the mother elephant reached back to grab one of Sienna's pigtails while the worker helped Amber onto the elephant. Sienna took out her phone and this was her picture. Selfie on an elephant, not many people can say they have done that? The ride was about 7 minutes and it was purely amazing. Once they were off, Sienna said goodbye to the elephants as they continued their way through the zoo. They made their way towards the monkey enclosure and Sienna knew they were Amber's favorite animal. "So why do you like monkeys so much Amber?" She asked as she chowed down on some more peanuts. The monkeys were cute. Even the itty bitty ones hanging from the tree and chasing each other. She had to say that elephants were best though. She didn't know why but she just loved them.
It wasn't long until they had seen every animal cage in the zoo. They went into the gift shop and Sienna thought of a great idea. Get Amber a monkey key chain for her keys! It was foolproof. She then separated with her friend to go find the key chain. She found a really cute one. It stole her heart and she knew that Amber would love it. She checked out then met Amber outside. She pulled the key chain out and smiled. "I got you this!" She stated, the little monkey face dangling from the chain.

Amber closed her eyes sharply at the sound Sienna made. That girl sure had a pair of lungs. She was amazed the elephant was so used to people that it ate out of Sienna's hand. When the large animal poked Amber she was a bit startled. An animal that large possessed a lot of power, and after seeing so many videos of elephants gone wrong, one couldn't blame. Sienna's laughter always made Amber laugh. When the worker came out she was sure that they were in trouble until he spoke.
"Hey, we could give you guys a ride if you want. Can't we Jaka?" the man offered. As much as Amber would like to say no, she decided to go against her gut. Hoping over the fence with Sienna she took out her phone, snapping a few other photos, along with one of herself with the elephant in the back.
Sienna climbed on first, Amber following after with the help of the worker. She grinned when she saw Sienna taking a selfie, and photobombed her. Slowly the nervousness from Amber faded, and she couldn't seem to wipe the smile after her face. The ride ended quicker than it began. Amber thanked the man before walking with Sienna to the monkey cages.
"So why do you like monkeys so much Amber?" Sienna asked seriously, her mouth full of peanuts. Amber took a moment to answer the question, and it ended up sounding rather cliche.
"Well they kinda remind me of you. They're quirky, cute, smart, and the most human out of any of the animals here. They're just cool. Not to mention they live in trees. I used to want to live in a treehouse until I learned it didn't have electricity" Amber replied with a shrug. After walking what she felt was a few miles around the zoo, see everything there was to see, they stopped at the gift shop. Looking around she saw an elephant plushy and a monkey one. She decided to purchase them for herself and Sienna, a little reminder of their fun time in the zoo. Once they left the gift shop Sienna surprised Amber with an adorable monkey on a chain. Amber's face lit up.
"Oh it's adorable - thanks so much. This is awkward but I grabbed this as well, here" Amber said, taking the keychain and putting it on her keyring as well as handing Sisi the stuffed elephant.
"Time to hit the road once again, we can have dinner tonight, real dinner. I just want to get to the next state before we start taking it easy. Not much to do in this one" Amber explained as they got into the car and began driving.
"I think that elephant really liked you" Amber smiled, remembering the moment her friend's eyes lit up.

Sienna took the small stuffed animal and hugged it before she sat it on her head as they walked back out to the car. "We are headed to Illinois next right?" The girl questioned as she took the elephant off her head and got into the car. They started driving and soon, Sienna was talking to the small stuffed animal that Amber had given her. She named it Velvet, which she said described it's texture even though real elephants didn't feel like velvet. It took them a long time to get to Illinois, landing them there in the time line of about 4 hours. It was cool looking in Illinois. All the lights and other pretty things. Sienna smiled as they passed through then pulled into the Holiday Inn parking lot. Sienna jumped out and this time, the bellhops came out to get their luggage and they said that they would take it up to the room so that the ladies could go get dinner.
Sienna smiled at this gesture, thinking it was sweet and such. There was a Cheddar's down the street and the girls decided to walk there. They had a nice dinner, mostly just sharing a large helping of chips and ques-o along with some potato soup. It wasn't until they were sharing a large piece of chocolate cake that Amber pulled out the tickets for Jekyll and Hyde at the theater down the street. She had never gone to see a real play in person before, well, at least not a professionally performed one. "This is about the guy with split personalities!" She stated and then smiled. They finished the dinner and then headed out into the perfect night air. It wasn't hot or cold. It was just right.
They made their way to the theater and found their seats. It was a beautiful play, with great music and such. Sienna enjoyed it very much, even cried at some scenes. She walked with Amber out of the theater and started heading back to the hotel. It was pretty much a one-sided conversation on the way back to the hotel. All about the night and how much Sienna had enjoyed it and how grateful she was to have a friend like Amber. When they made their way to the room, Sienna took first shower this time and by the time that Amber was done with hers, she was already cuddled up with Velvet in the bed that her and Amber were sharing. It had been a long day, and let's face it. Sienna was tired, really tired. Sweet dreams Sienna, see you in the morning.

"We are headed to Illinois next right?" Sienna asked Amber as they walked back to the "Lady Bug". Her friend looked happy with the stuffed animal Amber had purchased her.
"Yup. It'll be around 4 hours till be get there" she answered with a small smile before getting into the drivers seat of her red car. She appreciated the tan leather seats for moments like this in which her legs slightly ached from walking around. The drive to Illinois was decent. Chicago was a bit out of the way, but Amber wondered if it would be worthy of going to. It was a major city, and a shopping hot spot after all. It seems time passes quickly when your having fun, as it always did when Amber was around her best friend. The bellhops came to get their luggage and Amber tipped them generously.
The girls walked to a nearby Cheddar's that wasn't far from the inn they were staying at. Amber appreciated the city lights, but would much rather have stars. She knew sometime in their travels they would get far enough away from the city lights that they would be able to see the sky above them. They sat down at a booth in Cheddars, ordering a large helping of chips and ques-o with potato soup. Amber couldn't keep it a secret much longer, and she finally revealed the tickets of the play she had purchased them for while they were eating a large piece of amazing tasting chocolate cake.
"This is about the guy with split personalities!" Sienna exclaimed as they finished the cake.
"Yeah, I've never seen it - but the reviews are good" she smiled, paying the bill and walking out of the place with Sienna at her side. The night air was refreshing, as it usually is. The temperature was somewhere between hot and cold, but she found it to be just right.
The theater wasn't far from their hotel as well, so they decided to walk once again - which didn't help Amber's sore legs. It was an amazing play. The music was gorgeous, and the actors were brilliant. She was surprised to see such quality for such a low price. Some scenes were rather emotional, and she saw Sisi shedding a few tears. Leaving the theater Amber was rather tired, but Sienna kept a sort of conversation up. Sienna was full of compliments, and it made Amber smile in return. She loved her friend dearly. Making their way up to the room, both of them looking rather exhausted, Sienna took the first shower while Amber shifted through her things. She put her phone on the charger, smiling at the photo of both of them at the zoo once again. She seized the shower after her friend was done, and after got into bed next to her friend. She chuckled lightly at the position her friend was in before falling asleep herself in the darkness of their hotel room.

It was very early when Sienna got up and she decided that she was going to go get breakfast for Amber before she woke up. She dressed in a cute quirky t-shirt that said "This is not a pipe." and had a pipe drawing above it. In context, it isn't a pipe. It is a drawing of a pipe thus so is not an actual pipe. Some people didn't get it but Sienna thought it was funny. She grabbed her phone and then snuck out of the room to go get breakfast. She loved it in Chicago. It felt so nice and didn't even seem like it was summer. She put her phone in her purse as she went to braiding her hair in a side braid. She didn't know where to go to get breakfast for Amber.
She seemed to just wander around for a while before stopping at a breakfast cafe and getting two sausage biscuits. She also grabbed two coffees and headed back to the hotel. She wondered if they were going to stay here for another day so they could go shopping. She approached the hotel and then went up to the room. She slowly set the items down then grabbed one biscuit and one coffee. She walked over to Amber and knelt by the bed while she held the food. "Good morning, good morning. We've danced the whole night through, Good morning, good morning to you. Good morning, good morning. It's great to stay up late, Good morning, good morning to you." She sang softly as the girl started to awaken. "Good morning!" She said as the girl grabbed the coffee and food. "So are we going to stay here for a little shopping?" She asked, taking a sip of her own coffee and then eating her biscuit. It didn't take long for either of them to finish their food and only have their coffee to sip on.
They made slight conversation and then Amber got dressed and such. Sienna even put Amber's hair in a ballerina bun then she did the same to her own hair. "You know. If we went home right now I would be perfectly happy cause I have already had so much fun." She stated as she fixed a few tweaks in Amber's hair. She put her hands on her friends shoulders then smiled. "You know you are the best friend a girl could have right?" She questioned then smiled.

Amber was awoken by the smell of sausage sandwiches in her room, and Sisi singing. At first she was rather confused, but snapped out of the lazy daze when her friend was in front of her holding a coffee cup and a biscuit.
"Oh you didn't...have to do this" Amber smiled slightly, propping herself up in bed to eat the food. She took large bites as she was incredibly hungry.
"So are we going to stay here for a little shopping?" Sienna asked while sipping her coffee. Amber simply nodded.
"Might as well, Chicago is the closest we'll get major shopping. It's a neat city as well" Amber responded, taking a sip of the cooled down coffee. They finished their food quickly. They must have been hungry.
Amber got dressed, picking a white skirt and floral top. Together it looked like a dress, just as Amber intended. She had to admit she looked rather girly, but it was okay - right? She smiled as Sienna worked with her hair making it into a cute ballerina bun, that went rather well with the outfit she had planned.
"You know. If we went home right now I would be perfectly happy cause I have already had so much fun." Sienna said while fixing the few stray hairs and pinning down the more rebellious ones.
"Well I wouldn't be, because we have yet to get to Seattle!" Amber smiled at her friend. She felt Sienna's hand on her shoulder.
"You know you are the best friend a girl could have right?" Sienna questioned. Amber heard the sincerity in her voice and spun around to give her best friend a quick hug.
"I try. You know you're just as great you know?" Amber said back before grabbing her purse and phone. They should head out to the shopping district soon, or else it'll be packed.
"I'm thinking we spend a day in Chicago and start driving tomorrow morning. Give ourselves a tiny break. The aquarium here sounds awesome, and they have great burger places from what I've heard" Amber said as she pulled out a 5 dollar bill to tip the maid that would come while they were gone. They went out to the car and Amber got in the drivers seat as always, Sienna riding shotgun.
"To the shopping district!" they said together as the ladybug began going downtown.

They went down the strip with such enthusiasm, stopping at stores and shops. She loved shopping and especially with Amber. Clothes are this way, food is that way and accessories are over there. She was in such a blur that she almost got lost from Amber but she grabbed her arm. She wasn't going to get lost here like she had in the mall back home. They browsed clothes and food and all kinds of other things, buying some and leaving some. She found about 3 outfits that she loved and then one that she was going to get for Amber. She quickly bought it without Amber seeing.
This was just some of the cute stuff that Sienna did. She bought things without you knowing then showed you when she wanted to. She was a good friend and though she may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, she's not stupid. As the day went on and on they found a Claire's in the shopping mall and as that was Sienna's favorite store they couldn't not go in. She bought Amber a pair of earrings while getting herself a matching pair. Also, without Amber seeing she bought a best friends necklace for them to have.
From Claire's they went to get lunch, eating at a Taco Bell in the food court and even though Sienna is small, she can eat tons of food and almost never gain any weight. The bags that she had found their way into one bag and she had more room in her hands and they got a cup of coffee, each ordering for the other because they knew what the other always got. After the food court and such like that they went a few other places in the mall and decided to head back to the hotel. When they got back into the room, Sienna pushed Amber in the bathroom and then set out all the stuff she had gotten her which included this, this and half of this. She smiled at all of the items then opened the bathroom door so that Amber could come out and see. "Do you like it?" She asked as the girl's eyes fell on the merchandise.

Walking down the sidewalks of Chicago, Amber was struck with awe. Such a busy city, full of things to do. This was nothing like their home. From the car racing past to the people bumping into the girls, it was a very different experience. Amber never wanted to live in the heart of any city, but it was fun experience never the less. The look of Sisi's face made it very much worth it. They had to lock arms to ensure they didn't get lost in such a big city. Amber browsed through the stores, buying a few things for herself. She tried not to spend much, as their vacation was only starting. She purchased matching Chicago hoodies for them to wear on the colder nights. Summer wasn't all warm and sunshine - the weather had been nice to them so far.
They went to eat at taco bell, and Amber only got a single taco and a churro. She wasn't terribly fond of fast food seeing every time something happens to her food. She walked around with her friend to every shop she wanted to go to. She didn't have a strong urge to buy much at the moment, so she just tagged along.
When they were shopped out and tired they went back to their hotel, and before Amber could do anything she was ushered into the bathroom.
"Uhm...Sienna?" she asked through the door, her expression rather confused. Little did Amber know that Sienna was putting out all the things she got for her on the bed. What seemed like forever - which in reality was only 3 minutes, Amber was allowed to come out. She saw the gorgeous dress on the bed, a cute pair of heart earrings, and a best friend necklace. Her heart seemed to swell.
"Do you like it?" Sienna asked, looking at her friend hopefully.
"You shouldn't have...oh my" Amber was able to get out, looking at the white dress. She was looking at this dress when they passed by, but she had no idea Sienna had gotten it for her.
"You're the best, you didn't need to get me anything you know?" she told her, bringing her friend into a hug. Afterwards she put on the best friend necklace even though it didn't match, she knew Sienna would appreciate the gesture.
"I got us matching hoodies. No where near extravagant as this" she said gesturing to the dress "but it's practical. I doubt you packed many warm things" she smiled slightly. She fixed her hair slightly before yawning.
"Do you want to run to the aquarium, or rent a movie tonight? We could maybe do a mini-girl night. We can do real spa stuff when we get to Montana" Amber asked, looking over at her friend to make a decision. She carefully put the white dress in a dress bag in her suitcase. She loved her friend.

Sienna smiled at her friend's reaction. She gave her a hug and smiled. "We can wear those dresses when we go partying!" She explained as she held her own dress up. "Do you want to run to the aquarium, or rent a movie tonight? We could maybe do a mini-girl night. We can do real spa stuff when we get to Montana." Sienna smiled then put her hand on Amber's then pushed her onto the bed. "I say we chill in our pajamas, order pizza and watch one of the Disney movies that I packed." Amber really didn't object and while Sienna called the pizza place and ordered a large cheese pizza with stuffed crust. She watched as she ordered as Amber sat on the bed with the movies scattered across the bed. Once she was off the phone, Amber extended her finger out to Tarzan. She put the movie in the DVD player and once the pizza got there they chowed down on pizza and watched Tarzan.
The movie was good, personally Sienna hadn't watched it in forever. She loved the boy being raised by apes but her favorite character had to be Tantor, the red elephant. She remembered that one day she had gotten a Tantor plushie from the Disney store and she slept with it for a good 2 months before she let her mom wash it. During the movie, Sienna got out a nail polish to match the earring she had gotten Amber to go with her dress and started painting the girl's toes. It didn't take long and soon Amber was doing the same for her. After they were stuffed and the movie was over, Amber had fallen asleep and Sienna was awake. She took a short call home, just saying hello and telling her family that she was fine.
She ate another piece of pizza after her call and once she was finished she fell asleep beside Amber. This really had been the best trip she had ever taken, especially since her best friend was with her. She couldn't wait for what lies ahead but she also cherished what lay behind. All the memories she had ever made with Amber were precious to her and she felt like she wouldn't be able to fill the hole that Amber occupied in her heart for a very long while if she ever lost Amber.

Amber looked at the dress. The black and pink really fitted Sienna well. It was a gorgeous dress, for her gorgeous friend.
"We can wear those dresses when we go partying!" Sienna smiled. Amber nodded. They would both look amazing if they went to a party. She still couldn't believe her friend had gotten such a nice a dress for her. Sienna pushed Amber back into the bed with a dorky grin.
"I say we chill in our pajamas, order pizza and watch one of the Disney movies that I packed." Sienna decided. Amber saw no problem in a bit of R & R. She texted her parents while Sienna called for pizza, Amber made they got stuffed crust by tapping on Sisi's shoulder and making strange face. It was one of those jokes that you wouldn't understand unless you were there. After getting a reassuring text from her mother telling Amber they were doing good, she picked her favorite Disney movie - Tarzan. It was Amber's favorite Disney movie because the girl didn't depend on Tarzan, they just loved one another. Jane was a smart girl from a different world, making the movie 10x cuter for Amber.
Her favorite character was Tarzan's Mom, as she just thought it was so great that he loved someone that wasn't related by blood. It was kinda like Sienna and Amber. They aren't technically sisters, but that doesn't mean they don't feel like they aren't. As the movie went on Sienna painted Amber's toenails a pretty blue color to match her earrings, and afterwards Amber returned the favor, painting Sisi's nails a pale shade of pink. They were full, and feeling rather fat and tired. Surprisingly Amber was the first to fall asleep.
Amber awoke first this day, Sienna right by her side. Some people considered it weird, the girls considered it normal. She picked the hotel they were at for a reason - free breakfast. She went downstairs lazily, grabbing a strawberry cream cheese bagel for herself, and fruity loops for Sienna - along with 2 cups of coffee. They would be on the road once again today, off to the next state. Taking the elevator back up into the room, she set the food and drinks onto the nightstand and shook Sienna gently.
"Wake up sleepy head" she smiled at her friend. Sienna lazily got up and Amber was just getting ready for the day, unsure of what to wear. Looking out the window she saw large black clouds. To confirm her suspicions she checked her phone. Rain was in fact on the way.
