Name:
Rosemary Anne Turner

Nicknames:
Rose, Rosie, Lilly (Lilly, Rose, people get them confused sometimes. They're both flowers, so she doesn't mind.)

Age:
19

Role:
Female Captive

Appearance:

Rosemary looks much younger than she really is. She is quite small,
only reaching about 5'3". She is pretty scrawny too, basically skin
and bones. She has wavy brown hair that goes just a few inches
past her shoulders and bright blue eyes that are always hidden
behind huge glasses. She has normally tan skin, not being
super tan but not being quite pale. She usually wears button up
shirts under wool overcoats, always wearing trousers to her
parent's annoyance. Although she doesn't dress like it, she is very
ladylike, having great manners and sometimes that rubs into her
looks, as she has the desire to dress up on occasion.

Personality:

Rosemary always has her nose stuffed in a book. She reads every
chance she can get, being a Historian. Rosemary is quite smart,
especially when it comes to History. She has a photographic
memory and can remember every detail about anything she's
seen as long as it wasn't too horribly long ago. Rosemary enjoys
learning, for she believes knowledge is the key to happiness and
what not. She enjoys music and even plays the flute herself.

Rosemary is an extrovert, a very wise and friendly girl who can
easily make friends. She always seems to have a smile that is
as if it is permanently painted on. She has the inability to lie
or make good comebacks. Rose is quite innocent, in truth. Being
a Historian in training, she's always wanted to see the world... But
she'd prefer to skip the being captured by Pirates part of it.

History:
Rosemary was born to a small family of three, her being an only child. She got almost all of her parent's attention. Her parents were both safety freaks who always were worried about her well being. She tried to explain that she could take care of herself, but they were worry warts and always ended up embarrassing her. Rosemary knew from a young age that she was in love with History. She felt she needed to learn about the past, for our past is the key to our future. If we learn from our past mistakes and make sure not to repeat them again, the world will move forward peacefully. So at the age of fifteen she became an apprentice to the Librarian and the Historian, both of them teaching her their ways. She was about to become an official Historian when the Pirates raided for a second time. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, leading her to be captured and taken away. Now she just hopes to see her overprotective parents once more.

"Oh goodness," Rosemary whispered as she sat in her small yet quite dirty cell. The air had quite a funny smell to it- reeking of salt water and the horrible smells of the many Pirates on board. Did they ever bathe? She guessed not, for some of them even had algae growing on them. It was sad to see people, yes even Pirates are people, living in these conditions. Her cell was in even worse condition. It had six rusty bars that blocked her from leaving, a locked door in the wall to her side. It felt more like a stable, hay as some form of carpeting, dashed across the wooden boards underneath her. When she pressed her ear to the floor, she could hear Pirates talking underneath her. By eavesdropping, she knew the Pirates were planning to hang them.

Rosemary tried to think about dying, what it would be like before, during, and after. But she was too frightened to even try to comprehend it. She really didn't want to die. She hadn't even finished her studies! All her life she had planned to be a Historian. Now was her best chance to learn about the world, tagging along a boat headed for who knows where, but this boat was going to be her grave. She felt tears well up in her eyes. She understood that the hanging of the Pirate boys was quite wrong on her village's part, but why was she suffering for it? Her and whoever else they had taken. Goodness, she wished to just go home.

This was all so complected- she was being hanged for something that didn't even involve her. Sure, it was punishment for the village to watch as their people were murdered, but the villagers weren't the ones to blame. If they must kill anyone, kill the town leaders responsible! Oh good grief, if she was to say that back at her village she'd be hanged anyway. Alright, forget the hanging! Can we just let everyone live? She peered out of her cell until she saw a boy walk by into a room across from her cell. She had seen many injured people go in there earlier, but he seemed fine, besides looking a bit upset. He vanished into the room, but she spoke anyway, making sure it was softly so she wouldn't catch the rage of any other sailor.

"Pardon," she said quietly, "but do you know when the execution is going to take place?" She figured might as well ask, even though she probably wasn't supposed to know about it. She was curious to see how long she had to live.

Aster heard a soft voice call out from beyond his door. "Alright. Either that was my imagination or a siren." He said rubbing his head, "Or maybe I just smacked my head too hard."

Despite what he was telling himself, he got up from his desk, rubbed of a bit of algae that grew back, and peered outside his door. Across from his quarters was another smaller room used for prisoners. He was a girl inside it looking out at him. "Was that you, girl?" He asked. He didn't care if it was his imagination and she though he was crazy, she was going to die anyways.

From what little light there was, the girl seemed pretty small. He couldn't see her face properly, but he knew it was a girl by how she was dressed. It seemed like she had red hair, but it could have been brown as well.

Rosemary sat in her cage for a little while, no answer coming from the man, until he stepped out of the room and looked at her, discombobulated. "Was that you, girl?" he asked. She smirked. No, it was the Captain.

"Yes, it was me," she said, speaking a tad bit louder than she had before. "And, if I was to quiet before- sorry about the mumbles, I wasn't really expecting an answer- I asked when you all plan to kill me and whatever others you have captive on board." Although it was a bold thing to say, she didn't say it very boldly, sounding timid as she spoke. She crossed her arms as if to seal her small streak of courage. "You know, I am a Historian. I could be of more use to you all alive than I would be dead. I wonder how much you all know about the world's civilizations. I've dedicated at least four years to learning," she said, sounding quite proud of herself as she spoke in her British accent. "Although that isn't your call, is it? It's your Captain's and by what I hear through the floorboards, from gossiping crew members, he isn't a great man to try and convince." Rosemary sighed. It seemed hopeless. Why was she debating this with a doctor, crew member, or whatever he was?

"You're late."

Barnabas frowned. The Captain quickly lost interest in him, so he figured it was time to see where he worked. He quickly walked through the ship, admiring the work put into it, but it was no great ship. He sighed, keeping up his search, almost giving up until he saw a small crate by the wheel full of maps. He eagerly pulled one out. A map of the known world- brilliant! Barnabas couldn't hide his smile. He was eager to show off his skills to the whole village. He was already known as one of the best navigators in their small town, but if he navigated the rescue mission against Pirates and danger, who knows how famous he could become! Plus, navigating gave Barnabas a certain happy feeling that made him sure that he loved direction.

He quickly sat down on the crate and observed the map. The Pirates were obviously not from anywhere around here, and you'd probably want to travel by land if from Asia, so they must be down, heading somewhere around Africa. Southwest. That was the direction. Great. "Now I've just got to find the bloody pilot."

When Anthony realized he had to go back to that girl's, Al's, post he sighed but walked over anyways. Almost instently she started talking, "Captain Sir, I really am sorry. Being a called a girl makes me feel weak. I am not weak. My mouth gets the best of me sir, I am truly sorry and I didn't mean to threaten you."

Anthony couldn't help but let out a laugh, "I have met many women tougher than myself you know. So if I call you that, it is not meant as an offense. Have you ever heard the term 'Men are stronger, but women are tougher'? It means you can take pain more easily than a male. Like child birth or heartache.
So if I were you, I would quit taking being called a girl as an insult, but as a compliment. Show them, gender does not matter. You heard me earlier, I expect you to perform just like anybody else on this crew."

Aster Flichen

Aster listened to the girl ramble. Just by the rambling alone he could tell it was a girl, not to mention the voice.
Aster folded his arms and looked the girl up and down, "Yeah. He's in a real crappy mood right now. So there is no convincing him. He thinks all British scum are worthless and deserve to die."
For once, he decided to take slight pitty on the girl and answer her question, "And you should die sometime today. Once the Cabin Boy finishes tying the nooses."

That was when something stumped him, "Wait... You're a girl... And you're a historian!?" He found the idea of a woman who did anything other than live for he family odd. Sure there were girls on this ship, but he no longer accepted them as females.

Weston Kale

A loud huffing sound, similar to that of a dog about keel over and die. Weston trudged up the gangway plank with an sheepish expression on his face as he gently maneuvered his way around the busy deck..narrowly avoiding the death glares directed at his back by less than patient crew members. His expression was coached into that of a strained smile as he approached who believed to be the navigator of the Waterbird who appeared to be busy pouring over a map of some sort.

"Please excuse me for being late..I had to make one final stop...sir" Weston apologized quickly, inclining his head in a respectful manner. His calm expression turned into that of increasing anger as he was ran into by a clumsy sailor carrying a heavy load. His hands seemed to tighten even more around a black case containing his most prized material good...his beautiful, oak violin with an arabian horsetail bow. The violin was a friend to him in the toughest of times, it had always been there for him. Turning his attention to the navigator he asked in a quiet voice "Please tell I am not on duty for physical labor yet...I would hate to have one these..men step on this..". Carefully setting down the case and clicking open the silver clasps with a smile on his face. The violin lay in the velvet case shining like the sun as it had just been freshly polished and restrung by the local musician of the small town.

Gently closing the clasps once more Vincent gave the navigator a slight smile before stating "I have not introduced myself yet, I am Weston Kale, the present..hopefully still employed pilot of this well-crafted ship. I promise that I will not be tardy whilst manning this ship I assure you on that of my fiancé's heart..". His words trailed off as he realized the slip of words..before pondering ~Do I still even have her as my fiancé?~...

In the middle of Barnabas' map plotting, a boy came up and began stuttering about how he was sorry he was late, and how he wished he wasn't fired, his fiance's heart, blah blah blah. Barnabas finally put down the maps and looked him in the eye. "Look, I am the navigator, not the Captain. It is not my responsibility to throw you overboard. I don't think you'll be doing any physical labor, as we need you to steer the ship," Barnabas said in his charming voice, agrivation peaking through. He had no patience for Stuttering Stanley's ((Holy crap... Bout died there laughing.... I love the Sixth Sense...)) who wished to apologize for everything they said or did.

"You may want to take note, we must head Southwest, for I believe the Pirates are from that area. Hah, not many people have dared to go there. No land masses that way, just maybe the edge of the world. How exciting!" he said, half enthusiastically, half sarcastically. He was fine with journeying into no-man's-land, as long as he came back in one piece. If he died, he wouldn't be quite happy.

"I'll tell you which way to go when we take off, but until then, hang tight. Just, please tell me that you've actually piloted a ship before. If you wreck, I doubt anyone will be very happy." Barnabas crossed his arms, waiting for the man's answer.

"Once the Cabin Boy finished with the nooses? Well, I hope he takes quite a while with that. I'd enjoy for my eyeballs to stay in my head just a little while longer." She tried to laugh at her remark, but it sounded more fearful than funny, which was not how she had intended it to be. She felt almost sick to her stomach.

He continued, seeming quite confused with the fact she was a historian. "Not officially, almost, but I consider myself one, yes, I've been studying in history, becoming an apprentice under Librarians and other Historians for a while now. And to think I was almost actually almost officially Historian Turner. What a pity I'm being killed now." The boy still looked confused. "What, you've never heard of female historian? Wherever your from, it must be a lot different than my little village."

She wanted to add 'we don't kill innocent people', but she tried to view it from their point of view. They had lost two crew members... they thought they were doing what's right. But they had been the ones who raided anyway. It wasn't Rosemary's fault that their crew members had been hanged.

Anthony pulled out his note book, crossed something out and wrote something else. He closed the book and responded, "Don't worry. I'll call you by your name. It's just a good thing to know someone's full name."

He glanced over at her and noticed a small scar over her heart. He was curious yes, but didn't know if it was a sensitive topic. She did join his ship and wanted to be treated like a guy, but Anthony still had morals. He turned his head, hoping that (if she even caught him looking) it didn't look like he was staring at her chest. Oh, one of the many problems of having a female on a ship full of men...

Aster Flichen

"Of course I haven't heard of a female historian! Women belong with their families in the home. Not having their noses stuck in their books!" Aster said, he voice get slightly louder with each sentence. His arms had un-crossed themselves and had started moving as he got more and more fired up. He thought back to his home. It was very different from her home, he knew that much.

Calming himself slightly, he folded his arms again. "You know. You're awfully whiny. Usually people give up and accept they're dead by now."

Seraphina

she looked over at a woman talking with a strange man. He had dreads and wore a bandana around his head but looked semi-normal. Seraphina studied him as he made fun of the woman's job outside of this hell hole of a ship. She couldnt guess, however his own status or place on this ship but wondered if she could persuade him nonetheless.

Seraphina tapped on the glass pane and looked over at him with a seductive yet innocent look in her eyes. "Excuse me, are you the Captain of this ship? You certainly look strong enough to be and like you could, handle things a lot better around here huh?" she spoke in a soothingly sexy voice that came out as a quiet but not quite as quiet as a whisper.

She moved her body shifting slowly in her containment to be on her side looking at the man. Seraphina examined him more closely and smiled not showing her teeth because that would be overselling it, but she kept that innocent and rewarding quality of herself showing. "Please, sir could you open the top of this confinement for me? Then we can be together and you show me how strong you are...even closer." she winked slowly and turned onto her back and moving her arms slowly above her head as she ran her fingers through her golden hair. Seraphina also brought her tail up and hugged it the same way as if someone brought their knees to their chest but wasnt hugging them.

Growling down the pain Mic left the sail in one of the rooms under the deck and walked back up.
"You!" she turned to see a pirate walking towards her with a platter of food. Grinning she thought this was for her.
"Boy! Take this to the captives below. This may be their last meal so don't drop it. The cook isn't making another!" She grumbled something in annoyance and snatched it of him. The man hosted at her but Mic took no notice. She headed back to the cells below deck. This time managing to stay on her feet. Weaving her way in and out of working men. She half leaped down the stairs, eager to get this job over. She came to the cells and walked in not bothering to knock. The doctor seemed to be taking to a captive. She turned to them.
"As this is probably your last day, I have the bloody honour of brining your your last meal to you," she said and opened each of their cells and shoved their meals in quickly then closed it.
She sat down not looking at them and waited for them to finish. She had to bring the platters up again or she would have to go back down again to get them. She rubbed the cut on her leg and wiped the blood away again. Then picked some fungi of her elbow that refused to stop growing. She looked up at the food and stated at it longingly. She didn't have much to eat. She was treated like all the others. Everyone thought she was a boy. Maybe if they knew she would be treated better. No. She cod t tell them. She had put up with it since she left. She could put up with it for longer. She tore her gaze away from the food and back to her elbow where more fungi was growing. She picked at it again. Stupid... Darn fungi.

Mic looked up to see the doctor staring at her and shouting for leaving her wound open. Standing she looked at him.
"I'm fine," she grumbled,I don't need your help."
She thought about it. It wouldn't be good to get an infection. Sighing she walked into the office grumbling about, stupid doctors and wounds on the way in. She looked around waited inside for him.
Suddenly she felt a large lurch in the boat. She stumbled and the boat rocked roughly. She heard shouts from above. The ship lurched suddenly again. Mic was thrown of her feet and her hat went flying of and most of her hair came undone. She began to curse but she was cut of by another violent rock. She grabbed for her hat and put it back on her head. Then she shoved the long back strands of hair back up inside it. She stood, digging her heels into the wood and trying to get a grip on the wall. She knew the doctor may have seen and may have noticed but all she cared about now was holding on to a wall she couldn't get a grip on. She was thrown of her feet again, this time she managed to hang onto her hat. Her wrist hurt like hell, she didn't know if it was broken or not but she ignored the pain and staggered to her feet.
"What the heck is going on?" She asked but she already knew there was a storm.
She ran back to the cells and slipped slightly on her way in.
"Hold onto something and don't let go!" Mic yelled as she reached for the metal sell bars. Once they were in her grasp she grabbed onto them and clutched them tightly doing her best to keep a grip on them.

"Yeah you better go in there, annoying brat." Aster muttered, giving one last glance at the prisoners before there were shouts above on deck and a vicious rocking of the boat.

"Darn it!" Aster shouted as he fell flat on his butt when the boat decided to rock. He glanced over at the boy to see if he was okay only to see a flash of really long hair pop out from underneath his hat. 'A girl?' He wondered as he tried to get on his feet, only to be forced to cling onto the metal bars along with everyone else.

"I swear... to... GOD! If that navigator drove us right into this on purpose I'll inject him with poison!" Aster yelled at no one in particular. The fact that there was a chance of the ship being capsized worried him. He knew they were far out in sea, and the fact that if the boat suck there was a least one person who'd get hurt. And when a person's hurt, usually they bleed. And blood attracted sharks. So yeah, someone was going to die. Die a slow death of poison.

Mic cluched onto the bars for her life. The boat swayed dangerously and Mic closed her eyes tight and wished for it to end. She stood like this all the while.
When the storm evened out Mic fell of the bars and onto the floor panting. It had taken lots of energy to hold on being tossed about. She was sweating and her muscles ached. She attempted to get up then the sickness washed over her. She put her hand on the wooden wall and clutched her stomach, gagging. She threw up the food she ate and began coughing the rest out.
She never had seasickness before but this was worse than she thought. She wiped mucus from around her mouth and looked at the doctor and the captive.
"Don't tell anyone about anything that happened here," she growled," both what I am and that," she pointed at the mucus on the ground.
She fell back down and lay looking up at the ceiling. Her head was spinning and her stomach hurt. She felt like she was going to be sick again.
She closed her eyes and moaned quietly.
"That was extremely unpleasant," she whined.
Leaning up she remembered her arm. She looked at it. It seemed fine now. A bit bruised. She rotated it and it hurt slightly but at least it wasn't broken. Then she checked her leg. It had numerous splinters sticking out of it. She pulled a few out and the ones that seemed deeply wedged in she left.
"About this," she said to the doctor and pointed at her leg," it may have gotten slightly worse."

Aster rested against the bars after the boat calmed down some. He saw the girl/boy throw up from seasickness and he almost felt bad for her. He'd had seasickness before, and it was terrible."Don't tell anyone about anything that happened here," she growled," both what I am and that," she pointed at the mucus on the ground.

She flopped back down on the ground and all Aster did was raise an eyebrow, waiting for her to be done talking. But it was then that she started to evaluate her body. Eventually she looked up at Aster and said, "About this, it may have gotten slightly worse." It took him a second, but he was finally able to realize she was talking about her leg.

Aster rubbed his temples with one hand, "You just made my job ten times worse. And if you don't want anyone to know about your little episode over there you're cleaning it up. 'cause there is no way in the name of Davy Jones I'm going to do it. I'm a doctor, not a slave. Now get into my office before I drag you in there."

Before going into the office himself, he turned to the prisoners, "When I'm done with her, and whoever else decides that they should come see me. I'll check on you guys."
He glanced at the no longer mermaid, "And I guess I'll have to lend you pants..."

Aster quick went to his wardrobe, grabbed one of his skirt-pants hybrid and tossed it at the mermaid. He noticed she had the Captain's overcoat around herself but figured she'd much prefer some sort of pants.
"I'll come check on your guy's injuries later if you have any." He whispered to the girls.

Making sure that the boy/girl of the ship was still in his office he went up to the Captain. "Is anyone else injured Captain? I have one in my office already, but I'd like for the..." He was interrupted by Caleb who decided that now was the best time to tell the man that they he had lost a crap ton of rope.

Not wanting to get involved in Caleb's punishment, Aster went back to the person waiting in his office. "May as well wrap him up first. Get the feeling Caleb's next in line..."

He heard the mermaid girl say something but decided to pay his full attention to the Captain. "I was wonder if you were injured in any way, if any of the crew was injured (though you already answered this), and if you would allow me to fix the prisoners up. It seems, that one of them has a shard sticking out of her ribs. Not sure if you rather have them fixed up from a hanging or just let them die now."

While he was speaking her started to work on the girl/boy's legs, taking tweezers and pulling the smaller pieces of wood before pulling out the bigger ones with his fingers. "I get the feeling that more people got hurt down here than up there." He said to the captain.

Anthony Shepard

When Anthony saw one of his members fall over board, it seemed to have been Foster, he let out an annoyed sigh. "Alright, I'll get him." He said before shedding his shirt and weapons. He grabbed a life line, tied it to a sturdy board and himself, before jumping into the water after his fallen ship mate.

Pushing against the tough waves, he was finally able to reach the poor male. He untied the rope from himself and tied it around the almost sunken male. "I swear to god. If someone doesn't pull us up, I'll throw you overboard and not save you!" He yelled up at his crew. He didn't care who pulled them in, as long as someone did it.

Barnabas waited for the man to respond, but chaos struck as on of the crew fell off of the ship. Barnabas rolled his eyes, but the Captain actually went after the idiot who had managed to throw himself overboard! Barnabas scoffed, but heard the Captain cry out for someone to pull him out. No one responded. Barnabas scoffed. Why did he always get stuck with these jobs? Barnabas stood up and strutted over to the rope that the Captain had tied himself to. He heaved, but Barnabas wasn't the strongest guy in the world. He gasped as he slid at the weight, landing on his bum. He was a Navigator, not a body builder!

"How much do you lads weigh?!" Barnabas explained as he pulled himself up. He let out a gasp and heaved again, the two coming up just a bit. Barnabas climbed on top of the rope that was already stretched as far as it could, and placing his feet on it, began to jump, finally his weight causing it to sink. He sat down from there and began to heave until finally the Captain and the crew member's heads popped up. He let out an annoyed yet tired gasp as he stood up and walked back to him maps, collapsing onto the crate he had been sitting on earlier.

Rosemary had been started when she felt the waves collapse onto the boat. She had gripped the bars to her cell and held on for dear life, but her glasses had been whipped away from her and were sent under the bars, out of her reach. The waves had finally slowed down, but she was still completely blind without her glasses, the whole world had gone fuzzy. Blindly crawling around her cage, she ran into a pile of hay and collapsed onto it. She didn't think she was hurt, but it might have been helpful if she could see to check herself for injuries. She closed her eyes, a headache beginning to settle in.

Suddenly, she heard someone walk by the cells and into the doctors office across the hall. By the way he spoke, referring to "his men", Rose knew it was the Captain. She payed close attention. The doctor asked permission to check the prisoners for injuries.

"Fine," the Captain said to Rose's surprise. "I don't think we'll be able to hang them when our cabin boy just lost most of the rope, so better not let our hostages die without a proper execution." Rosemary felt hope finally flutter back into her... now if she could only find her glasses.

Anthony was the girl to get on board and pulled up the other man next. "What on earth were you thinking!" He yelled at his first mate, "Never mind, it wasn't your fault..."

"Everybody, get inside the ship before another one of you falls overboard!" Anthony yelled before grabbing his shirt and weapons and heading for the inside of the ship. "We'll wait the storm out." He said in a softer voice.

Aster Flichen

After Aster was finished patching up the girl he tapped the side of the table as a sign he was done. "Alright, anybody else beside the captives injured?!" He called out to the rest of the crew members. "If you are you have about 10 seconds to get in here!"

Aster walked out of his office and looked around at everybody, He glanced down at the captives and saw the the historian's glasses had fallen onto the ground. He picked up the round items and placed them in front of the girl who was wandering around her little area looking for them. "Here." He muttered, waiting for one of the crew to speak up.

Someone handed Rosemary her glasses, although she could not see who. She quickly slipped them on, blinking. They were quite wet and had a large crack down the left lens, but it was better than nothing. Rosemary looked down. Besides a scrape on her arm and a cut on her chin, she was fine. Her shoulder hurt horribly, but she figured it would go away eventually. She sighed and collapsed in the hay, which wasn't very comfortable, but she was exhausted.

Yet, although she was tired and hadn't slept since she had been taken, Rosemary could not get any sleep, nor even shut her eyes for very long. She sighed and sat up. She was drenched, so she pulled her knees to her chest in an attempt to warm herself up. She ran her mind through history ((I have no idea what time period this is in, so I'm just sort of guessing somewhere in early A.D.)) of historic tsunamis. The ones she remembered were after the Greek Peloponnese Wars.

She sighed and crawled over to the bars of her cell. A few were bent, so she was able to stick up to her shoulders out. She sucked in and squirmed, constantly looking up to see if anyone was watching. No one seemed to see her, so when she eventually tumbled out, she wasn't noticed. She tiptoed to the corner and peered at the crew, all of them seeming too busy to notice her. So she ducked down and crawled, silently, until she had reached a hatch to the cargo hold bellow. She quickly slipped down and found a dark corner, hiding herself in the much dryer part of the ship. She knew she would most certainly be killed if she was found.

Once Aster had seen that everybody (the important people/crew) who wanted medical attention got it he walked over to the captives. He knew the mermaid girl had a shard in her leg so he went to her first.
"I'll look at your injuries later." He called to Rosemary.

"Now. Show me the darn shard so I can see what I need to get it out." He said to Seraphina as he took her leg himself, "And was it preventing you from putting on pants?"
He glanced at the leg and found the shard to be quite deep. "This... May be troublesome..."

Rosemary sat crouched behind a couple barrels in the corner of the cargo hold. Her left shoulder was still feeding her body excruciating pain every time she tried to move. She peeled back the arm of her sleeve and peered at it... Oh goodness. Rosemary hadn't considered the possibility that there was something actually wrong with it, but now she, who had very little medical history, even could tell that is was dislocated. She knew how to pop it in if help wasn't available to pop it for you, but she'd have to stay quiet even if it hurt like crap. She winced. She knew she was going to regret this.

Climbing onto the barrels and laying on her stomach, she held her arm to the side. "Here goes nothing," she whispered, scooting to make sure her arm was hanging over the side of the barrels. She sealed her lips shut and closed her eyes as she let it drop, gravity yanking it down. Although it didn't pop back into place, it hurt horribly and she let out a little cry of agony, her right hand covering her mouth. Well, that wasn't going to work. So, Rosemary hopped off and sat on the barrel, putting both hands on her left knee. She closed her eyes and pursed her lips shut. She began to lean back, nausea running through her. She let out a breath but kept leaning until... POP! Relief flooded Rosemary as she moved her shoulder around in a full circle. She had done it! Her dislocated shoulder was back in position.

Rosemary quickly noticed that her scream may have alerted some of the crew members, although she doubted it. She opened one of the barrels. It was filled with water, so she opened another and then another. All filled with water. Eventually she stepped into the water and squatted down, pulling the lid back onto the barrel, hiding her.

Aster suddenly heard a loud cry of pain. He knew cries like that, he was trained to know them. He immediately looked for the other prisoner girl. Not noticing her, he looked in the direction of the scream.
"How the hell has no one else heard that?" He asked himself out loud, "And why haven't I noticed she was gone yet."

Grunting in frustration, Aster got up. "I'll be right back" He said to the injured girl before grabbing his knife and heading out to where he heard the sound. Making sure no one saw him, he noticed he was at the barrels.

He knocked on a few of them with his foot, and hearing they were filled with water, moved on. "You think you're clever don't you? You would have been caught whether it was when I heard you or when the crew was ordered to look in the barrel for something useful. Not to mention when people finally realized you were gone."
Eventually Aster just started taking the lids off the barrels until he found her. And it didn't take long since she was in the first barrel he opened.
"Found you. Now get out before someone sees you, idiot."

She heard footsteps down in the cargo hold. She froze. A voice began to talk to her, telling her she'd eventually be caught anyway. It was the doctor, who quickly pulled off the lid to her barrel. "Found you. Now get out before someone sees you, idiot." Rosemary took offense to being called an idiot, but jumped out of the barrel anyway. Goodness, that water was cold! She shivered.

"Alright, you found me. But my "cage" is broken and you wouldn't want to be the one to tell your Captain that a girl escaped from your crew's watch. If that's what you're planning to do, I would assume you might as well throw yourself overboard." Rosemary crossed her arms. "You all took a while to find me. I really didn't expect you to be that slow," she said. She wasn't usually good at putting up any kind of fight, but she was frustrated. What would he really do anything with her anyway?

"But, whatever. Go ahead. Take back to my broken cage and make sure your Captain sees while you're at it," she said, smugly.

Aster laughed. "No one was supposed to watch you any ways! Where would you go exactly? You're on a ship in case you forgot. If you jumped into the sea then that just means we'd waste less time killing you ourselves! Yes when people realized you were gone, we would have looked for you just to know where you were, but it's not like it's a huge deal. So get your butt over to your cage before I drag you there myself. And I'll make a show of it too, trust me."

Aster watched the girl's expression as she tried to act tough. Which was quite adorable, in a nerdy sort of way. He was pretty sure that it was only a front though. Considering the way she was acting earlier.

"Ah, so the cage is just for show," she said casually. "How do you know I'm not insane and won't jump into the ocean? I'm sure your Captain won't be pleased." She smirked and didn't move a muscle, probably annoying to high heavens for the doctor. She stood still for a while, but quickly darted to the ladder and raced up shoving the hatch to the cargo hold open and jumping out. She quickly slammed it shut after she had gotten through and locked it from the outside, leaving the doctor locked in the cargo hold. "Who's the idiot now?" she asked quietly, making sure she didn't alert any other crew members. She quickly noticed the Captain had just come from the deck and was speaking to the crew, no one even looking in the direction of the hatch to the top deck.

Quietly, Rosemary tiptoed to the ladder and climbed up. A few shouts came when she pushed the hatch open, but she leaped out and shut it, pushing a nearby crate over top of it to make sure they didn't attack. They would move it soon, she knew, so she had to find a new hiding spot. She quickly found her way to the kitchen, which was drenched, and hid in one of the cabinets, having to climb up onto the counter to actually get in. She curled herself in a tight ball and stayed completely quiet. She knew they'd find her sooner or later, but maybe she'd have a better plan by then.

With a grunt of frustration Aster pushed on the latch but it was locked. "I'm dead... I'm dead... I'm dead. I'm dead I'm deadI'mdeadI'mdeadI'mdead. I am totally dead!" Aster said, rubbing his temples sending all the curses he could towards that damned girl. He kicked over a water filled bucket with all the force he could muster in his angry rage. And it just so happened this angry rage busted a giant hole in said barrel.

He went back to the mermaid girl, took a deep breath, and sat down held out his hand. "Mind if I finish fixing your injury before it gets infected?" He asked, seeing as it was not yet stitched and still bleeding. And it wasn't just a little blood. It was a lot.
