Name: Emerald Xiloscient
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Appearance: Human: Pokemon: Moves: Tackle; Howl; Bite
Personality: Emerald keeps to herself...most of the time. She's not shy, she just doesn't like most people, and actually prefers being on her own. She cares for her Pokemon, but little else. At least, that's what she wants you to believe.
History: Emerald grew up in a small family, with just her parents and one older brother. Her parents were a little strict towards her; she was compared to her brother often, though not usually positively. About the only positive point they had ever made about her was her intelligence. As for everything else, she just wasn't as good as her brother was. So she often kept herself in her books. Finally, she had decided to leave; to travel on her own, with her one Pokemon, of course: her ever-loyal Butterfree. It had been a sudden and unexpected birthday gift from her brother, as a little Caterpie. He had meant it to tease her, as he saw little use for bug Pokemon, but she really did care for it. She had decided to start her own journey, far away from her family, so she took a boat to another region; the Jhoto Region. About halfway through the trip, she went to bed as soon as it was completely dark, like normal.
She woke up slowly, like normal, though she felt a little...different. She thought at first that she was starting to come down with something; a cold, maybe. She did feel pretty warm, after all. She tried to stand up, but could only manage to stand on all fours. Was she really that sick? Finally, she opened her eyes. This wasn't the ship...so where was she? Where was the pokeball containing her Butterfree? Now she was really worried; what had happened? She moved her hand to rub her eye, only to freeze. There shouldn't be
fur on her hands! She opened her eyes wide, staring at her black paws. This was new. She craned her neck to look over her body. How did something like this even happen? How had she become a Poochyena?!
She stared around at the forest. Well, at least she seemed to be alone. So she wouldn't have someone making fun of her when she tried to learn to walk on her new paws. After a little stumbling around, she thought she had gotten the hang of it. She started to wander, somewhat aimlessly through the forest. Finally, she came across a little village. This was very new. It was different from other villages she had seen. Maybe she'd find help there? She made her way down to the village, looking for help.
