Age:
18 || ”Anything else you want to know?”
Nickname:
Seisa || ”Yeah, that’s…okay.”
Ayumi || ”We’re not that close so…But it’s not that I hate it. Just…not used to it, I guess.”
Gender:
Female || ”You’re not senile yet. Or was that supposed to be a joke? It’s not funny you know?”
Occupation:
Trainer || ”Well, I guess I just went with what I was doing prior to coming here. Or maybe it’s my lack of appreciation for Contests?”
Rank:
Premier Rank || ”I’m fine with it as it is. At least I can finally go outside legally.”
Personality:
Introverted, Lethargic, Oblivious and Taciturn
Introverted || Rarely is she seen mingling with others or starting a conversation. She also has a tendency to disappear during breaks sometimes, making it all the more harder to approach this girl.
Lethargic || She wasn’t at first. She tried persevering for some time until she hit the Premier Rank and after that, seemed to stop pursuing any more altogether. It might be a bit hard to ask her to do things, unless one has a good initiative he/she can give her.
Oblivious || Naturally, since she tends to go off on her own and is asleep or her mind is wandering most of the time, she isn’t too privy with some of the things like rumors and gossips in their class.
Taciturn || Ayumi has a bit of an anxiety when it comes to speaking with people so she’d rather not talk unless spoken to and when she does, she tends to respond in short and blunt statements.
Likes:
Wandering around || ”It takes my mind off things.”
Cool and quiet places || ”It helps me relax a bit. Plus, it’s good for my health.”
Watching battles || ”Well, the outcome differs each time and, it’s somewhat of a game to me, trying to see which Trainer comes out as the winner.”
Ghost-types || ”I find Ghost-types relaxing somewhat. Does that make me strange?”
Dislikes:
The Infirmary || ”My condition basically means that I have to spend quite some time holed up in there. I don’t like it.”
Crowds || ”Hard to move around and breathe. Plus some people can be a bit rude…”
The tier system || ”Honestly? I can write an essay on why I don’t like it.”
Fire-types || ”Don’t take it the wrong way; I don’t hate them that I wish they just disappear. I just…tend to avoid using them. They’re too…hot.”

History:
Born as a girl with a physical condition in Hearthome City, Ayumi was severely limited in her movements, a huge hindrance for pursuing a proper Pokemon journey. Even when she was in her younger years, she was always either sent to the infirmary or had to stay at home so it’s not too much of a stretch to say that she’s made very little friends.
While most kids start out in a proper age of 10-11, Ayumi had to start out at the age of 14, a time when her body has become slightly more capable and tolerant of the stress brought on by traveling, even when she’s already gotten her first Pokemon when she was 10. Still, the whole premise of a journey was to achieve personal growth but it is the Trainer’s dream to participate in the open tournament in order to prove themselves. Back in her younger days, Ayumi wanted it too but her physical condition really is just that hindering; only going as far as to obtain only four badges.
Unable to cope up with the stress of traveling, her parents presented another, indirect method to achieve growth: Through acceptance in Zenith University, a school known for churning out strong and competitive Trainers that are allowed to participate in the open tournament. Thrilled by the prospect of it, Ayumi agreed and enrolled in the university. In her excitement, she overlooked some details particularly the tier system.
Once inside the walls , Ayumi soon found the system to be too stressful. The atmosphere inside was too competitive and she found even harder to make friends or even find new Pokemon to train. She eventually adapted to get by on her own, managing to reach Premier Rank in the span of two years.
The requirement for ascending into Ultra Rank was to discover a Mega-Stone so the other Premier Rank Trainers all split off to search for their own stones. Ayumi originally found one around the Seaside Cavern area before the other Trainers did. One of them who knew about Ayumi’s condition though, had one of his Pokemon use Sunny Day while he stalls Ayumi by chatting with her. She began to feel light-headed later on, eventually collapsing, losing the stone to the other Trainer in the process.
When she came to, she was already in the Infirmary; the Trainer who stole her stone had the heart to at least bring her there. With no one else to witness the incident, she can’t prove that she lost due to an underhanded method. The incident left a permanent mark on her. She stopped caring about trying to excel or participating in the open season if it meant that she’ll end up like all the other “overly” competitive Trainers around. At the very least, she simply planned on staying as she is, until such time that she can finally leave the island.
Battling Style:
Ayumi generally goes for a quick offensive, trying to hit hard before getting hit herself. For types, she prefers to keep her options open, trying to get the most out of one Pokemon while keeping an eye out for potential checks and counters. Her style is mostly offensive, as opposed to defensive.
Pokemon Team Overview:
Ayumi's team is primarily composed of Pokemon that she's caught and trained for some time, opting to play safe than heavily investing in a bunch of new ones. Not to say that she isn't willing to grit her teeth and train new Pokemon, just that, she mostly opts for the ones she's already familiar with. She rarely uses Gabite or Torterra, unless a battle is a sanctioned one.
