Description: Xia is a beautiful young woman with a slender though athletic physique shaped by years of dancing. She has silky, lush silver-white hair which shines with a light blueish purple hue in the right lighting conditions. Her hair usually flows out behind her, though she often has a single lock in front of her face with two small braids at her shoulders. Her amethyst eyes are a unique shade of ocean blue with a mild purple tint which makes them almost otherworldly to look at when in close proximity. She has naturally thick eyelashes and slender eyebrows which arch like a raptor in flight. Her soft, light pink lips are bow shaped and compliment her lighter skin tone. Though not overly pale, she is not tan, but has smooth and clear skin with a healthy sheen in the sunlight.

Her clothing is usually a mixture of casual and formal wear, as she was raised to be a respectable young woman by her parents. She can almost always be seen wearing a deep indigo blue button blouse with semi-puffy shoulders. During formal occasions, such as dinner parties or important social gatherings, she wears a white collared shirt beneath it (like the one in the photo). Her mother gave her a silver chain necklace with a large sapphire jewel in the center for her 16th birthday when she graduated from her beginning Pokémon Academy. She wears a fairly short skirt that stops about two to three inches above her knees, and wears white knee highs with simple black shoes. All in all, she’s a traditional beauty who enjoys life and shows everyone around her the proper respect, and in turn earns it right back.

Age: 24
Sex: Female
Date of Birth: September 28th, 1989
Birthplace: Rahsdvan, Dunmetaal
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Height: 5’ 9”
Weight: 135 lb.
Body Type: Slim
Voice Type: Mezzo-Soprano (Go to :33 when Yakumo begins to sing and that’s the voice I’m going for here ;D )

Trainer Class: Pokémon Breeder

Current Pokémon Team:

* Rapidash (Shiny)
* Lapras
* Tropius

Family:

* Xeras Leingod - Mother
* Weiss Leingod - Father
* Connor Leingod - Elder Brother
* Audrey and Leah Leingod - Younger Sisters

Physical Ability: As a long time dancer, Xia has incredible stamina and walks with practiced grace as the daughter of a noble family. She has powerful legs which, if needed, can be used to kick anyone trying to bring her harm and are capable of causing a lot of damage in desperate situations. When it comes to upper body work, Xia is strong for her size, but not amazingly so. She can do handstands for several minutes, but otherwise is unpracticed in terms of lifting weights like one does in the gym.

Intellect: Xia is incredibly intelligent, boasting an IQ of 165 and being the top student in her graduating class of the high school level Pokémon Academy in her home city. She went to college and double majored in Pokémon Behavior and Pokémon/Human Relations, graduating one year early from the otherwise intense 4-year program with honors and achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in both. She petitioned for and was granted her license as a Pokémon Breeder despite not going to the usual university upon her completion of the University’s final exam, and now works as a private Breeder because she loves raising Pokémon naturally instead of battling like others.

Personality: Xia is one of the sweetest girls you could ever hope to meet. She has a rich, creamy voice which makes her sound like an angel. She has grown up with the kind of bearing that nobility are known for, carrying herself with her back straight and her head held high with a gorgeous smile greeting the world. She speaks with confidence, but with sincerity and courtesy. Whenever she is in any kind of debate, she speaks calmly and with respect, never using insults or raising her voice to get her point across. Her natural intellect allows her to carry on meaningful conversations with those she meets, and because of her background she makes for a natural entertainer as well because she can sing and dance beautifully.

Xia does have a bit of a stubborn streak, but it never interferes with her respectful nature or manner of speech. Whenever she sets her mind to something, she will never give up until she accomplishes it which is how she made it through the intense Pokémon Academy programs while double majoring. She is somewhat shy around strangers, but opens up quickly so long as the proper respect is exchanged during conversation. If she hears foul language or inappropriate jokes, she will excuse herself from the conversation and avoid those she heard them from. She is naturally a pacifist and avoids fighting or confrontations of any kind. However, because of her dancing background, she can protect herself if needed since her dance instructor was also a martial arts practitioner and made constant comparisons and side by side instruction between the two.

Strengths:

* Intelligent
* Resourceful
* Devoted

Weaknesses:

* Lack of battle experience
* Somewhat naive
* Hemophobic

Equipment: As a Pokémon Breeder, Xia uses her family’s fortune to fund her own Breeding Center. It is a small cottage on the edge of the forest in Dunmetaal near the border to Osaios, but she owns a very large portion of the surrounding land for the purpose of Pokémon rehabilitation and breeding. She has her own Pokémon Center recovery machine inside her cottage, allowing her to help passing Pokémon Trainers who are in need of rest and for healing their Pokémon who may have been injured in battle along their journey. She has access to weekly deliveries of Pokémon food and care products.

Biography: Xia Leingod was born on September 28, 1989. Her mother and father are of noble birth, and thus have an inherited wealth which has been passed down from generation to generation. Both of her parents conducted themselves with the same kind of respect and courtesy which they instilled in their daughter. Xia has one older brother and two younger twin sisters, all of whom love her with all their hearts. The siblings have always gotten along very well and remain very close to this day. Her brother was a prodigy of Pokémon Training, and managed to win his first competition held in the city at only age 10 due to their parents pulling some strings for him to compete. His victory was controversial at first, but once his prodigious abilities were more well established and documented, everything calmed down. Still, her brother faced scrutiny for several years before he began entering competitions at the proper age, but doing no less spectacularly than his first appearance.

Xia was home schooled for the first twelve years of her life before entering high school in her neighborhood Pokémon Academy for high school students. Due to her naturally high intellect, she managed to graduate one year early due to her being pushed forward through the program by the faculty. She graduated at age sixteen, and immediately enrolled in the most prestigious college level Pokémon Academy on the continent where she double Pokémon/Human Relations. She graduated with honors, again one year early as she did in high school thanks to her taking 24 units each semester. She almost drove herself nuts taking so many units, but she managed to get through with some help from her friends and support from her family. Her sisters especially were of help since they went to the same Academy and roomed together with her.

Upon her graduation, Xia was welcomed home by her family who invited over two hundred guests to celebrate the occasion. It was a bit much for her, but she accepted the gesture with grace. When the party was over she immediately set about going to the local Breeder’s Center where she presented her credentials and was awarded her very own license to practice Pokémon Breeding upon taking and passing the exam from the local accredited university. Using her family’s fortune, she set up her own Breeding Center near the edge of the forest where she set about taking care of sick and injured Pokémon at first, but slowly moved to taking care of Pokémon she befriended from the surrounding area. She also managed to acquire a Pokémon Healing Machine from a Pokémon Center so that if in the event Pokémon Trainers came through and had Pokémon in need of immediate methods of medical attention for their Pokémon, she could accommodate their needs. To date, she has taken care of hundreds of Pokémon both belonging to trainers and wild Pokémon alike, and has earned a reputation for her kindness and expertise.

So begins...

With his jacket tied around his waist, flapping behind him with each long stride, Ricky ran. Running as fast as he could. However Ricky could not keep up the pace. It hurt to breath, sweat ran freely down his face and bare arms, and he was doubled over with his hand on his knees panting frantically. He looked up, his pokemon had stopped to look back at him. refusing to leave him behind. But Ricky just shook his head. "This is the end, guys..." He said as he gasped for air,"...I can't do it... I can't do it anymore... You can run by your damn selves."

There it was, once the daily ritual of an early morning run was gone, gasping for air. "This ain't right, guys. Either I get me a damn bike or you carrying me next time. I'm tired of being the only one out of breath here." He grumbled before taking a deep breath and leaned backward to stretch. That's what he gets for thinking he can keep up with them anymore. But, as always, he would try again tomorrow. It was a good way to get the blood flowing, after all. He looked over his shoulder, to see in the distance where they had started. Not bad for going full sprint. And as always, he didn't come in last. Back at the starting line, laying face down in the ground was a particularly lazy scrafty. "Homer!" he shouted, "Get your ass in gear, mate. It do be time to be eatin' breakfast, and I ain't gonna blamed this time if it's gone before you get here." Well that partially did the trick, the scrafty got up and began a slow jog over, it's eye's ever groggy.

Goodness, Ricky would swear Homer would starve if he wasn't here to motivate him. Ricky crouched down and began checking his pockets and pack, "Well, let's see what we be gottin' here, guys. Slim pickins' today, though." He said as he took out the last two cans from his fanny pack, a bottle of water and two tablets from a small case. From all his pockets he pulled out several handfuls of dried pokemon food. The Muk, the jolteon, and the swampert all groaned in unison at the last of their rations."Hey guys, don't look at me like that. It wasn't me who ate the map or thought this way was a "shortcut". " he said as he made quotation marks with his fingers. "But don't worry. Surely it ain't bein' much further. I mean seriously, this trail can't just go on forever. Just you watch, just around the bend, baby." He encouraged as he divided up the rations.

A can each for the swampert and the scrafty, who was lucky enough to just make it as the cans were being opened. Both devoured the contents quite heartily. The jolteon recieved his share from dried food, who crunched his up with equal vigor. Leaving only Ricky and the muk to be fed. All Ricky had claimed for himself was a small handful of the dried pokemon food, which always reminded him of dog food, then washed it down with a swig from the plastic bottle of water. There was still plenty of water left in the bottle, as was intended. He dropped the two tablets into the bottle of water, capped it, then shook it up until the contents became a black nasty sludge for muk. Ricky held out the bottle and the muk opened its mouth to accept it, plastic and all. But open closing it, she ended up swallowing Ricky's hand as well. He didn't seem to mind as he pulled it out with ease and wiped the leftover muk on his pants. "Easy, Winnie." He said, and she made a deep and slow rumbling "Muh" sound in apology before letting her ooze spread out to recover and devour the now empty can's as well.

Another morning in the minimalist life of Ricky. He knew that his pokemon could go much longer without food than he could, but he would still rather that he go without before they did. So always was the case that if they didn't eat, neither did he. Just as if they ate little, he did too. Probably not the healthiest of option, but he wanted them to know that he was always willing to go through whatever they went through.

It was a few hours, and a few cigarettes later... and so much for something being just around the bend. He had returned them all to their pokeballs, to spare them the walk, and had been walking in silence for some time now. His yellow tank top was soaked in sweat, even though it was feeling great out, it was a little muggy under the trees. It was a godsend he had some shade, the sun never did him any favors. The hike naturally continued, and Ricky kept a steady pace and watched the forest thin around him until he caught glimpes of a field through the trees. " 'Bout damn time." he said to himself with a grin.

Upon further exploration he saw an assortment of pokemon in the fields, and too a cabin and some odd looking buildings. He imagined it was farmland of some sort. It was a few bends further than he expected, but there was something out here. Thank god... Well this would be a good chance to earn a few bucks to buy food if this place needed some help, or at the least point him in the direction of town.

Ricky wiped the dirt and sweat off of his face with his handkerchief then tied it back around his head and adjusted it so that it kept the sun out of his eyes. With hands in his pockets he made his way to the cabin, being sure to knock first. With no answer he tried again before opening it. It was unlocked, "Hello?" He called, trying not to be an intruder here. But what did you know, there was a front desk and this place looked sort of businessy. He walked to the front desk and called out again but to no avail. It was when a pidgey caught his attention that he understood how things worked here. The farmer or whoever must be out working. Well a farm was great, places like this always use a good back to help with chores. Okay, so he knew it wasn't a farm. But he would make the same difference argument for failure of having any good reason to call it that.

Taking a pen and paper he wrote out a little note, and it would read: "Looking for work to buy food for my pokemon. Willing to do anything you may need help with. If you are not hiring, directions to the nearest town would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Richard Rolland."

After signing his name he folded it and put it on the desk by the pidgey and took a seat in the unofficial lobby. Even if the note didn't make it to the person intended, someone would surely be around at some point.

"My Breeding Center is my life now, and caring for Pokémon has become my ultimate passion in life. But now I am being exposed to a new level of evil, and I'm not sure whether or not I will have what it takes to make a difference."

The carrier Pidgey watched as a man walked into the lobby. It watched warily, not sure as to whether or not this particular individual could be trusted. He was dressed strangely and carried himself with a rather odd strut. But it was Pidgey's job to take messages to Xia, so it did just that. Once the letter was given to it, Pidgey flew outside and delivered the message to Xia who was back in the Breeding Pen with Lapras and her newborn.

"Oh, Pidgey. What have we here?"

She opened the letter and read it in her mind.

Looking for work to buy food for my pokemon. Willing to do anything you may need help with. If you are not hiring, directions to the nearest town would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Richard Rolland.

She folded the letter and gave it back to Pidgey who flew back to the lobby and landed on its perch after setting the letter down on the table. Xia asked Maiya to take over tending to the two Pokémon while she addressed the man in her lobby. She made her way there, taking off her hat before entering and walking through the door. Her long hair was flowing out behind her as always, a few beads of sweat dripping from her temples and brow which she dabbed away with a cloth on the desk. Her clothing was slightly ruffled and a bit dirty, as she had to wrestle with a few Pokémon to get them to hold still for treatment and feeding which always ended somewhat poorly for her.

"Good afternoon sir, I received your message. Unfortunately I am not looking to hire any workers here at my Breeding Center. However, there is a town around three miles down the east road from here. If you'd like, I can provide you with a map of the city and mark the best places to ask for work," she offered with a sweet smile.

As he waited in the lobby, it gave the chance for the sweat to dry and him to cool off. So he was feeling much better, and was passing the short amount of time flipping through the pages of a small technical manual to try and get some ideas for Winnie. Looking up only to see that the pidgey had returned. Well that was quick, the person must not have been very far after all. As the sound of footsteps approached, he folded the manual and stuck it back in the fanny pack.

Standing up, Ricky would adjust his handkerchief again as it's dampness kept making it slip down ever so slowly. Then as strange as it was, it was a girl that came to meet him. A pretty little thing, though she didn't seem to shy away from any dirty work by the looks of her. He felt like a real creep in comparison. But he gave a big grin, trying to be friendly. But at what she said, about not looking for workers, his smile faded. Sorry guys... he thought to himself... gonna have to wait wee bit longer. And so much for learning a thing or two as well.

His slouching returned and he reached up to rub the back of his neck as he thought of how to go about this now. Though a small smile on his face remained, it would not be hard to see he was disappointed. Though she looked like she had been doing some struggling, he didn't want to be seem like an insistent creep. "Aw man... Eh, I guess a few chores was a little too much to hope for, ya know?" He said, he couldn't exactly be angry with that kind of smile the girl was giving. "Well, ya ain't got to, but it would be real sweet of you if ya could. You'd be setting me right back on track at least." He told her, his smile regaining, grateful for the offer.

That wasn't such a bad thing. After all Ricky would be in town quicker, and he would be heading to it anyways. The aura of disappointment around Ricky would disappear fast enough as his mind worked to make the best of the situation. Yeah, three more miles was not exactly something he was looking forward to tackling on an almost empty stomach, but it was only three more miles.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exJoRBSyWTU">"Hey, listen to this Ray, I want you to listen to this one. I picked it up back in that last town we were in for a few bucks and I want you to see if you understand what it means."</a> Leo gently looked over at his Talonflame sitting on his shoulder as he begun to softly strum the strings of his guitar while he sat under a tree off to the side of a field. Leo didn't really understand what the lyrics themselves meant, but he loved the tune and rhythm of the chords. His fingers coolly strummed the cold metal strings, his callused skin completely oblivious to how the metal strings were cutting into his fingers. Despite the guitar's age and wear presented by the faded wood, the sound coming from it was beautiful.

While he sang the song to Ray, the bird Pokemon began to nuzzle his neck and nibble his ear as a sign of enjoying it. His soothing voice lulled the usually active Pokemon into a state of tranquility. "Well, any idea what that could mean?" Ray had a somber look on his face and shook his head. Leo placed his guitar in the soft, lush grass and began to pet Ray's head. "I love your feathers. They are so soft and unbelievably warm. I wonder how you do it half the time, but I keep forgetting you're a fire Pokemon."

Ray's nuzzle quickly changed into a nip at Leo's earlobe. He then flew into the air and made a squawk at his forgetful owner, flying circles around his head. "Oh come on Ray, why do ya gotta be like this? Just when things were gettin calm again too." Leo picked up his guitar and placed it into its bag since he figured his rest stop was over with. He grabbed his satchel that was hanging on the tree branch and slung it over his shoulder so it rested on his side. He grabbed Ray's Pokeball to call him back when he noticed that his Pokemon was not up above him anymore, but rather was chasing after a man in a yellow tank top. "Ray! We don't know him, come on back!" Leo tried to call out to his Talonflame, but it was futile. Ray was already too far to hear him, and so Leo made chase, going at a brisk jog down towards the cabin where the man was heading.

By the time Leo made it to the cabin, Ray was sitting outside on the window sill staring inside at two young adults. "Oh Ray, you gotta listen to me. I know you find others interesting but you gotta take your time and get to know them first. Let's go on in though and see what this place is all about. I haven't seen anything much like this before."

Leo allowed Ray to hop back onto his shoulder as he entered the room, taking note of the beautifully young girl and the very... sweaty young man. He figured they were having a business conversation since they didn't look like they knew each other very well, but Leo was still interested in getting to know them both. "Hello, um, mind telling me what exactly this place is? I'm looking for a place to stay the evening and work if possible. Are you the people I should be talking to?" Leo really didn't need a place to stay, and he hand more than enough money to last him the better part of two weeks, but he really hadn't met anyone new in the past few months and he figured why not now.

"My Breeding Center is my life now, and caring for Pokémon has become my ultimate passion in life. But now I am being exposed to a new level of evil, and I'm not sure whether or not I will have what it takes to make a difference."

Xia was about to answer the man but another young man entered the room and interrupted her train of thought.

"Hello, um, mind telling me what exactly this place is? I'm looking for a place to stay the evening and work if possible. Are you the people I should be talking to?"

She smiled, letting escape a soft and adorable chuckle from her lips as she covered her mouth with the back of her right hand.

"Oh my. The Breeding Center sure is popular today," she joked, giving a light chuckle again at the end.

She took a moment to breathe, and regarded the new arrival with a courteous bow of her head.

"Well, as I mentioned this is my Breeding Center. There is a town about three miles down the East road where you can rest and find work, and I was just about to provide my new acquaintance with a map of the town and all the places to look for work. I'll give you one as well, so please wait just one moment," she said, offering the newer arrival a smile.

She turned away and reached for a drawer just below the carrier Pidgey, and pulled out a pair of folded pieces of paper. Once she unfolded them on her desk, it was revealed they were indeed maps of the city and she took out a pen and circled a few locations before sliding them to the edge as a gesture for the men to take them.

"Here you are gentlemen," she said with a polite and courteous tone of voice.

"I will be visiting the town later this afternoon myself around 5pm as I have a few errands to run as well as a few supplies to pick up. If you'd like to accompany me there, then you are welcome to wait here at my Breeding Center and rest before we leave. However, I'm sad to say, as this is not an inn, I don't have spare accommodations for visitors beyond that sofa over there," she said, pointing to the sofa in the corner of the room.

"Please do excuse me gentlemen, as I have a lot of work to do before I leave for town. You're welcome to leave whenever you'd like, but if you decide to rest here please make sure to leave everything as it is. If you require anything, please ask my assistant Maiya via the carrier Pidgey here," she said, gesturing to the Pidgey as it gave a little call to display its stature.

With that, she gave the two men a courteous bow and left the room to go back outside. Making her way back to the Breeding Pen, she asked Maiya to be ready just in case anyone sent the Pidgey to fetch her while Xia took over watching the Lapras and its newborn. She knelt down in the water with them, rubbing the mother's nose and gently stroking the baby's neck as it lay against it's mother's side. The two of them both seemed to enjoy the contact, closing their eyes and relaxing under her most loving touch. Xia smiled and cooed to the infant, and decided that it was time to give it a name.

"What to call you?... Ah, I know! Aquasia! From now on, little one, your name is Aquasia!" She happily declared.

The infant seemed to like its name as it gave a happy call, earning it a nuzzle and a lick from its mother before the two settled down to sleep.

Xia left the Pen and returned to her duties, taking time to restock the food bins and clean up after the Pokémon who'd left her presents in the grasses. The Persian was still resting, nursing its broken foot and keeping a wary eye on Xia. Even though it held a small amount of trust in her, it was still not perfectly happy letting her too close. She aimed to change that, but it wouldn't happen right now. But she was fine, as she had the patience of a redwood tree and could stand to let the Persian open up to her in its own due time. She finished cleaning the fields of excrements and made her rounds in the fields greeting the Pokémon in her care and giving them each a bit of contact time giving them massages and cooing to them to help keep them relaxed and to help build further trust in her as their temporary guardian.

Time ticked by so quickly that before she even knew it, the time to visit the town was upon her. It was approximately 4:55pm, and she had to leave quickly if she was to arrive before the shops she needed to visit closed. She ran inside, changed her clothes, had a quick glass of milk, and grabbed her wallet and bag before heading downstairs to the lobby to see if the others were still there. If they had left, she wouldn't be surprised. They had their own lives to lead, after all.

He wasn't that sweaty now, was he? Ricky arched a curious brow as the man came in. Another worker maybe? But upon listen he understood. Heh, well at least he wasn't the only one lost. When he had asked who he should talk to, Ricky just flashed his pearly whites in a wide grin and pointed his thumb towards the girl as if to direct him to her. He looked back at her when she had giggled, how cute, and would listen to her give the similar speech that she had given him. Though it was nice be considered an aquaintence by someone for a change.

When she had came back from fetching the maps he gave her a nod and an even wider grin,"Thank ya, much. You be doing me a favor, if you see me around in town, let me know so I can be repaying ya back in kind. I don't wanna be intruding on ya so I will probably heading out here soon." He said, trying to be polite. She was a nice girl after all, and he would to be an inconvenience to her.

He did stay long enough to watch her get back to work,"Thanks again!" he said one last time to her as she excused herself. So this Ricky with the other man, with his grin still primed he extended a hand to shake the other man's hand. "Whad'ya say, buddy? If we be heading to the same place, wanna head together? Company do might be making the road seem a good bit shorter, if you're up for it." He offered.

It sounded like fun to Ricky, anyway. He certainly wouldn't mind having someone to talk to who can talk back. He been without company for a while, and he was sure his pokemon wouldn't mind that of another trainers. Isn't anything that can beat a good trail buddy on a day like this.

"Oh, a Breeding Center, how wonderful. I'm surprised I haven't seen any of these on my years of travels, all things considered." Leo looked towards the sofa that the girl pointed towards. It looked extremely comfy. Almost as if he could just sleep there and never wake up. What he was truly surprised about though was the fact that a breeding center looked so nice for being out of the way of any sort of town. Assumptions began to form in his head about how she was maintaining the place, especially since he didn't notice many Pokemon in the general area, but he decided he better not assume things about someone he barely knows.

"Here you are gentlemen,"

Leo was startled by her statement because he was so entranced in thought. He took the map without much though from her hand, glanced down at it, then looked back up towards her with a smile. As she continued to talk he took mental notes of her, paying mind to how polite and how professional she was. Not many people he met in his five years of travel ever acted this way around him; and those that did were especially smart. Additionally, she seemed very capable of handling herself and she wouldn't be taking much help if she could avoid it anyway.

"Why thank you very much. I don't want to be a burden so I feel it would be best if we met somewhere in town if you would like. To tell the truth I just wanted to meet some new people." Leo comfortably scratched the back of his head as he spoke, relaxed expression on his face as Ray stared at the other man standing next to him. "Thank you for the hospitality though!"

Leo turned away as the woman got back to work, putting the map in his left coat pocket and buttoning it up. Ray continued to stare at the man across from him, studying his physique and attitude that was completely different from his trainer's.

"Whad'ya say, buddy? If we be heading to the same place, wanna head together? Company do might be making the road seem a good bit shorter, if you're up for it."

Leo glanced up at the man, taking in everything he could get about him. The man was dressed very... interesting compared to Leo, but he really didn't mind. Leo noticed that the man himself was relatively rough and gruff, giving him an air of 'life' that Leo also never is really around. In fact, everything about the man in front of him was unlike anything he really had ever experienced. It was very exciting for Leo though, as it became obvious from the excited smile that came across his face when he saw the man's extended hand.

"Sure, I would love some company down to the next town." Leo said as he strongly grabbed the man's hand and gave it a shake. "My name is Leo, and this here is Ray. What's your name?" Leo pointed up towards the Talonflame sitting on his should - who was still just looking at the man in intrigue. Leo grabbed the map out from his pocket and pointed at the closest town"Why don't we take this road here? The town is only two miles and this is the shortest route without cutting through any of the forests around here."

"My Breeding Center is my life now, and caring for Pokémon has become my ultimate passion in life. But now I am being exposed to a new level of evil, and I'm not sure whether or not I will have what it takes to make a difference."

As she entered the lobby, she found it to be empty. The men must have left some time ago, but it was fine. She had her own errands to run and some shopping to do. She did one last check of her belongings, confirming her wallet and Breeders ID were both handy, and walked outside. She closed and locked her door, and then continued down the road.

The three mile trek to the city took her around half an hour, and when she set foot in the city's streets it was around 5:37pm or so. Her watch was a minute or two fast, so more like 5:35pm. She made her way to the local corporate Pokémon Food store and confirmed that her order had come in, and when it was confirmed that it had arrived the building's resident Mover Pokémon, a pair of Machoke, took the big bags of food outside and carried them down the roads out of the city to her cottage where Maiya would help them move it all inside. She bid farewell to the receptionist who helped her, and returned to the city streets.

She made her way to a few local food stores to buy food for herself and Maiya, then to a dry cleaner's to pick up some of her and Maiya's recently dropped off shirts and pants. The last week had been busier than usual, and both of them had gone through a fair amount of clothing in their attempts to keep up with the influx of new Pokémon. Once she picked them up and dropped off a few other dirty and torn clothing items she had in her bag, she left the establishment and visited the local Pokémon Center.

She didn't have any Pokémon to drop off, but she wanted to chat with the nurse who worked the counter. Her name was Annabelle, and she was a real sweetheart. The two of them were very good friends, and they spoke almost every time Xia came into town.

"My Breeding Center is my life now, and caring for Pokémon has become my ultimate passion in life. But now I am being exposed to a new level of evil, and I'm not sure whether or not I will have what it takes to make a difference."

Xia and Annabelle finished their long conversation around 5:45pm, and as Xia bid her friend farewell one of the Poké Balls at her waist began to vibrate. Xia looked down and noticed that her prized Pokémon and her most trusted friend, Era, a specially colored Ponyta, was now breaking out of her Poké Ball. The white light blinded Xia momentarily before she looked out at Era who was frantically stomping her hooves on the ground and whinnying at her without pause.

"Calm down, Era. Please, calm down!" She pleaded, grabbing Era's nose and rubbing her forehead.

Era shook her head and continued this display until an explosion rang out towards the center of town. The only major building in the center of town was the Pokémon Center, which Xia had visited not more than an hour ago. Era ran towards the explosion a short distance, gesturing for Xia to follow.

She didn't need an invitation. Xia grit her teeth in fear and horror, but followed after Era as the two of them ran towards the Pokémon Center. She could see as she rounded the corner of a street that the rooftop of the Center was on fire, and she could hear people and Pokémon alike screaming in fear as the chaos began taking hold.

Sofia wasn’t quite sure what it was about Leo’s singing, but something in it made her even more homesick. The lyrics just struck a chord with her that made her want to check up on Minerva, Rosalinda, and Hugo. And her mother, of course. She wasn’t sure why that was, though. At any rate, Leo certainly deserved that standing ovation. Ricky especially looked pleased with the performance, cheering Leo on at the end. Sofia managed some half hearted clapping herself, but something was bothering her. When was the last time she’d phoned home? How was Momma doing, and had she let the twins get jobs at the theatre like they’d wanted to? (It had been a fight for Sofia to convince her mom to let her work, much less the twins.) And did she need to send money to keep the girls in music lessons and Hugo in paint and pencils?

That worrying was quickly pushed to the back of her mind. A tremendous tremor and horrifyingly close explosion jarred Sofia out of one set of worries and into a rescuer mindset.

"What the friggin' fuck was that!?” Sofia heard Ricky swear loudly in the confusion. She’d stayed at their table, and in the panic it was all she could do to not get pushed to the ground. "Sophia? Leo? Ya'll alright?"

”I’m fine,” Sofia yelled back at him, ”but my Pokemon are freaking out and there’s bound to be injured, considering how big that tremor was. I’ve got to get down there to make sure no one got hurt.” She would have gone even if either of the guys had protested. Even if the emergency was on land, it was her job as a lifeguard to at least help with the injured. In a smaller town like this, she might be one of the only people with any kind of medical training (other than the other Trainers, although her lifeguard first aid had been somewhat more in depth.) ”You and Leo, meet me by the explosion when you can, okay? I’m heading there now!”

Sofia was far closer to the door than the boys, and managed to get outside fairly quickly. Louie had been barking towards the center of town, which had to be where the explosion was. She ran as fast as she could, doing her best not to drop her pack as she went. Sofia followed a dark trail of black smoke to the local Pokemon Center, where the roof was on fire. Screams of Pokemon and people alike could be heard inside. And of course, her only Water type was pyrophobic.

”Damn it!” Sofia cursed. (She only cursed when the situation called for it. Sofia was pretty sure this was an acceptable situation to curse in.) She sent Flora out of her Pokeball. The Quagsire was already trembling from the explosion, but her eyes widened in fear at the flames.

”Flora, I know you’re afraid but you have got to help me out here. I’m scared too, okay?” Sofia definitely did not want to go in. But there were people in there that needed help. ”You don’t have to go in. Just try to help put out the fire on the roof, okay?”

The Quagsire nodded, still trembling. ”Good girl! Now, try to see if you can get your Water Gun up to the roof.” Sofia looked around. She noticed that another girl, around her age or so and well dressed, had also arrived on the scene. Flora busy with figuring out how to get her Water Gun to the roof, Sofia finally dropped her pack on the ground and dug for her first aid kit. As she was doing this, she yelled over to the girl. ”You got anything that can help with this mess? Cause I have no idea what kind of situation they’re gonna be in if somebody doesn’t get in there soon.” And yes, Sofia knew that going into a burning building was completely against her training, but she’d be damned if she couldn’t at least find a way to help out herself.

Leo scanned across the crowd to see where Sofia and Ricky were, hoping they decided to stick it out. Immediately he noticed Ricky applauding like a maniac in the front row, a reaction he didn't see too often. Leo gave a small smirk and a nod to the exuberant man as he placed his guitar back in its case. As he took a final bow, he noticed Sofia had a worried expression on her face, as if something was bothering her. Was it his music; what if it wasn't good enough; what if she thought he was mediocre? Leo made a mental note to confront her on it later to see if there was any way he could improve.

Leo was stepping down off the stage, satisfied smile spread across his face, when mass panic ensued. Just outside the cafe Leo saw an explosion burst open a building like a rock being thrown through rice paper. The tremor caused by the explosion caused him to trip and fall off the stage, landing flat on his chest - knocking the wind out of him.

"What the friggin' fuck was that!?” Leo looked up, out of breath as his friend was showing concern by looking around for the both of them. "Sophia? Leo? Ya'll alright?"

Ray flew off from the stool he was resting on and came to his trainer's aid, clutching his shoulder and flapping heavily to get Leo to stand up. With some effort, Leo regained his breath quickly and was on his feet scanning the crowd with its hysteria. He turned towards Ricky and gave the affirmative response, "Yeah, I'm all good. We need to get out of here though - too many people are just confusing me."

”You and Leo, meet me by the explosion when you can, okay? I’m heading there now!” Leo was just able to catch the last part of what Sofia was saying, prompting him to follow suit. He was able to get up to a brisk jog to grab his bag from the bar they were sitting at, he motioned towards Ricky to follow him, and then ran out the door a minute after Sofia did.

Because he was still a little out of breath, it took Leo a little bit longer to arrive at the scene of the explosion. Ray flew on ahead to scan the area above the Pokemon Center, despite the smoke impairing his vision. He saw Sofia and a few other trainers trying to put out the fire with their water Pokemon, so he figured he would do the same. Leo pulled out two Pokeballs and called out their contents. "Elise, Tenzin come on out, we need your help."

Elise the Marshtomp and Tenzin the Bronzor emerge from the white light, alerted by their master's call. "Alright Tenzin, Elise, we need to work together without any messups here. " Leo's voice became much more serious due to the heavy tension, dropping his bags next to Sofia for safe keeping. "Could you keep these safe for me? I have a feeling there are still Pokemon or trainers trapped inside."

Leo sprinted towards the front door of the center, both Pokemon in tow. He knew Pokemon centers were always filled with racks of Pokeballs that trainers left there so their Pokemon could be healed while they walked around town. He wasn't willing to let their lives be ruined just because they were trapped in their containers. "Elise, use water gun on the door. Tenzin, use psychic to keep the door frame up so it doesn't crush us when we run in." Like in synchronized fashion, both Pokemon performed flawlessly and the trio ran into the flaming center in search for anyone that was trapped inside.

Leo, accompanied by Elise and Tenzin, sprinted into the buring Pokemon Center. Despite the intense heat and choking smog, Leo wanted to help every Pokemon he could find. As he sprinted across the cracking marble floor, pieces of the ceiling were falling down around him. Tenzin, to the best of his abilities, was able to redirect falling rubble just in time not to crush the trio inside.

Elise on the other hand was attempting to douse the floor with her water gun, but to her dismay, it was too hot inside for her to produce any water without it evaporating instantly. The panicked Marshtomp began to break down at the thought of disappointing Leo, failing at the one thing he requested her to do.

Leo quickly glanced down at Elise who looked like she was going to cry. On one hand he wanted to stop and comfort her, saying he understood why she couldn't do it and it was alright; but the building was going to collapse on them at any moment and he needed to get a move on. He pulled out her Pokeball and said "Elise, I know you want to help, but right now you need to be back in your Pokeball." Leo saw this crushed her emotionally as the red beam went around her and pulled her back into the capsule. While he couldn't help but feel bad, he kept pushing on until he reached the medical bay for sick Pokemon.

When he reached the medical bay, he noticed that all of the operating tables were empty... weird for a Pokemon Center. Maybe they all were taken out by the panicked staff? A lot of the chords and medical equipment looked like they were recently used too and were hastily ripped off of the Pokemon, blood and chunks of flesh were resting all over the instruments themselves. Leo felt like he was going to be sick from the smell of burning flesh, but he remembered that Pokemon Centers also had racks of Pokeballs that employees held for trainers.

"Tenzin, collect as many of these as you can and get out of here! I'll be right out after you!" Leo was fully aware that his Bronzor would only be able to carry about a fourth of the Pokeballs, but it was something he would have to accept. They only had one trip in them before the building collapsed on them. Tenzin collected all the Pokeballs he could and flew out of a hole in the ceiling, delivering them all safely to the crowd of people outside.

Leo took off his jacket and made it into a little carrier, allowing him to hold more Pokeballs easily compared to using just his hands. To his dismay, he was only able to gather around thirty himself, leaving over half of the Pokeballs still on their shelves. As he began to turn around and run out, he noticed Ricky running in through the burning archway of the center.

"Ricky! Grab as many Pokeballs as you can. We need to give every Pokemon here a figh-" Before Leo was able to finish his exclamation to his friend, an enormous chunk of the ceiling came collapsing down onto one of the shelves, eliminating a quarter of the Pokeballs that were there in the first place. A look of horror spread across Leo's face - the slaughter of dozens of innocent and defenseless Pokemon.

Then it came to his attention that the smog was starting to suffocate him. He became lightheaded and started to sway back and forth towards Ricky, who was running over to him. "Ricky..." Leo was barely able to to speak with the lack of oxygen in the area. Another part of the ceiling came crashing down and destroyed the remaining Pokeballs on the shelves. "Take the Pokeballs and get out. Keep them all safe."

Leo began to lose consciousness, collapsing to his knees and coughing out soot. He quickly succumbed to the lack of oxygen and passed out as the flames around the area were pulled away by some outside force.

When Leo regained consciousness, both Ray and Tenzin were next to him, but weren't staring at him. In fact, the large group of people weren't looking towards his direction at all but rather towards an area with a loud, sharp ringing. Leo struggled to stand up, coughing out black spit as he wobbled towards the crowd. After a few steps, he collapsed again forehead digging into the cobblestone road. Blood ran along with the soot as he stood up again and wobbled along the streets. Ray and Tenzin followed him, but kept a safe distance around him as well, unsure how he would react to what he saw.

All Leo saw was the lady from the Breeding Center covered in blood, her Rapidash with scars and gashes, and his two friends already looking over at her.

All he heard from her was "No..." over and over and over... It was a crushing noise she was making like the world she lived in was shattered right before her eyes.

Leo's mind was not there though, and he began to pass out again, right into the girl's pool of blood, face first.

Ricky had fallen a little behind, haven gotten caught in a crowd of fleeing people. And he would not blame them. When he got to the pokecenter. He stopped beside Sophia in time to see Leo run into the burning building. "Leo! Leo!" He shouted at the dangerously heroic boy. Good lord. He was going to get himself killed! Frick... Ricky wasn't going to about to let him handle this alone. Running towards the building he brought his handkerchief down around his face, to help block out some of the smoke. In turn he released his swampert and his scrafty.

"Monty! Make sure we got a way out." He ordered the swampert, who nodded in confirmation. Though did not like the idea of letting Ricky inside. Monty would take his place by the entrance to keep the flames under control there. "Homer! You are coming with me." The scrafty pulled the skin over his head like a hood and charged in behind Ricky. Homer was lazy, but he always had Ricky's back. This stunt was reckless even by Ricky's terms.

"Leo!" He called when he finally found him. The pokemon, there was no doubt that they needed help. And he began gathering up as many as he could, using his own jacket much like Leo was using his to hold as many as he could. But there was still too many for just the two of them of carry. This was where Homer came in, without even asking, Ricky began shoving pokeballs into the scrafty's baggy elastic skin as if it were a bag...

Then came the explosion... Ricky covered his head to protect himself from the falling debris, he grit his teeth in pain as the stirred up embers fell upon his bare shoulders. But the burns seemed insignificant when he opened his eyes to see the destroyed pokeballs... He felt his stomach churn... what if that had been Louie? Or Winnie? They just died...

Things were taking a turn for the worse now, Leo seemed to not doing so well. "Leo!" He exclaimed as he watched him fall to his knees. "Don't worry bro, I'll get them all out. But I ain't leaving you-" He was trying to say but was cut off by the strange activity of the flames and Leo's passing out. Shoving the rest of the pokeballs in scrafty's skin, he tried to pull Leo up to try and carry Leo on his back with whatever pokeballs he could fit in his pockets and scrafty's skin.

Then came to finding a way out... Someone had put out the flames, but Ricky did not believe that they were safe. The ceiling could collapse again. The aftermath was not very pretty... Many times he had to swallow pretty hard. It was slow progress, but Monty was there at the entrance, waiting loyaly.

There was so much commotion outside, but Ricky was more worried about Leo. Pulling him over to the crowd, Homer on his heels."Sophia! Help!" He called, trying to find her. She was a life guard wasn't she? Surely she could help him. But when he saw the reason for the crowd, that girl laying in on the ground, the dead and injured pokemon, the blood... What on earth happened... The scene was horrifying. And with what Ricky had already scene inside the pokemon center, his grip on Leo weakened and the boy slid off.

"My Breeding Center is my life now, and caring for Pokémon has become my ultimate passion in life. But now I am being exposed to a new level of evil, and I'm not sure whether or not I will have what it takes to make a difference."

The ground beneath her was turning red as it was stained by her blood, and as she lifted her hand away from the ground against the pain in her chest to try and touch the Growlithe again she saw the red oozing liquid dripping from her skin and clothing. It was surreal, and she didn't make the connection that this blood was almost all hers. Very little of it belonged to the Growlithe save the small pool beneath it's motionless body.

"Growlithe..." she whispered.

Right around that time Era tried to stand up, but the blood around her caused her to slip several times alongside the pain in her legs from where the Growlithe had bitten her. When she finally made it to her feet her underside and legs were streaked in her master and best friend's blood, glowing red against the light of the fading fires in the background as the firefighters and policemen finally arrived on the scene. Paramedics were also along in short order, and they immediately set upon the scene of Xia's motionless body. They pushed everyone out of the way who had gotten too close and checked her vitals before making the determination that she'd make it if they hurried her to the nearest human hospital a few miles away.

Xia's body was carefully lifted off the ground by four paramedics, one supporting her head, two more supporting her torso, and one supporting her legs. They brought her to the emergency vehicle and set her down on the bed inside very carefully before racing to attack oxygen to her face and a drip to her arm before slamming the doors shut and racing away. Another group of paramedics arrived to check on the others, but one thing the paramedics who took Xia had forgotten about was that Era was her Pokémon and had been left behind with her Poké Ball still on the ground nearby.

Era watched the ambulance turning the corner and limped towards it, but stopped as she was in too much pain to continue. Era dropped down to her knees, slowly slipping down bit by bit as she lay herself down on the ground. She kept herself upright as best she could, whinnying desperately for Era to come back. She needed to be with her friend. She needed to know she was okay. Xia had raised her from birth with such love and compassion that Era knew no other feelings towards Xia than love. She loved her friend. She loved her like family, as if Xia was officially a Pokémon alongside her.

But now her friend was gone, and Era's tears began slowly streaming down her face and to the street below her as she continued to cry out for her friend who had been spirited away to the hospital.

This evening was going to haunt Sofia for… well, she wasn’t sure how long it would take to get over this...

She’d stood there and watched as the girl, then Leo, then finally Ricky ran into the building. She couldn’t bring herself to do so, though. She just couldn’t. Which was probably for the best, since there became an influx of injured people and Pokemon. Trainers that were still okay began to care for their own Pokemon to the best of their abilities, and most of the people were just badly bruised or suffering from smoke inhalation. Nothing too hard to handle.

At least, until the girl came back outside.

The men in black had shown up out of practically nowhere. One moment, Sofia was encouraging some people to keep coughing, and the next, she heard a Growlithe snarling. She had turned around quickly to see what was going on, only to recoil in shock at that thing. That Pokemon had something seriously wrong with it. Before she could help the girl, though, her off coloured Ponyta had knocked the… (Was it entirely appropriate to call it a monster? It had seemed to intentionally draw blood.) Whatever it was, the Ponyta had easily knocked it out with a hard blow to the head. ”Whew,” Sofia had sighed to herself quietly.

She’d said it too soon, though. As the girl cradled the Growlithe in her arms, a gunshot had rung out. The girl had fallen.
And there wasn’t anything Sofia could have done to stop the men.

She’d frozen.

Entirely unlike her. She wasn’t sure why she’d frozen, even. Something about the situation had said ‘run, run, run as fast and as far as you can’.

Sofia had stood there as the paramedics came in.

She hadn’t helped Leo when Ricky had pulled him out of the building, or when Ricky had called out for her to help him.

The paramedics had checked Leo out and verified that he was okay. Not that Sofia had seen this. She’d fled down the street a ways, leaving behind her bag. She still had her pokemon, though. Sofia wasn’t going to forget them.

After she was clear of the scene and out of the way, Sofia slumped down in an alleyway, panting. What the hell was wrong with her?!? She should have been there helping! She could’ve at least patched up that girl, and made sure Leo didn’t have a head wound… That girl could wind up dead, and it would be all her fault because she didn’t assist.

Sofia was a monster. A heartless, selfish human being who couldn’t put herself in the heat of battle.

A coward.

Sofia curled up into a ball against the wall of the alleyway and wept quietly into her knees. She'd failed her new friends.

Ricky had been sitting cross legged off to the side, he had lit himself a cigarette to try and calm his nerves and was trying not to let it get wet. He had his shirt off, and Monty was insisting to drool cool water over his bare shoulders to try and help ease the minor burns he had received from that shower of embers. The paramedics had already checked him out, nothing serious so they had left for more serious cases.

Homer had dumped out the rescued pokeballs to the proper authorities, then returned to his own... This situation was something else... All those pokeballs and the lives within squashed out without them even having a chance. At least they had saved some. But there were other pokemon in that building... ones that were not in their pokeballs. Ricky saw several on his way out that hadn't had any chance. Dead pokemon, not something he ever thought he would see. Then there was that one growlithe that got shot. Who would shoot their own pokemon like that?

Ricky was not feeling very good. Part of him wanted to turn up the meal he just had eaten peaceably but moment before, and he doubted his knees were strong enough to walk from the shock of it all. But he would not complain. Others had it worse. Like his buddy Leo, who he had kept casting worried glances towards. Sophia looked pale as a sheet... But his mind kept going back to that girl, the one who got shot. That was the girl he had met earlier. She was so nice, why did bad things have to happen to good people...

As the streets began to clear, slowly but surely. He had lost track of Sophia, it worried him some, especially with those bad guys out there. He hoped she was okay. He needed to find her. With a tired groan he got up, Monty giving him another splash for good measure, and happened to have accidentally put out the cigarette in the process. Ricky had too much on his mind to care about that, though his shoulders immediately began feeling warm again and he began missing that cool water pretty quick.

He stopped, something in the street catching his eye. A blood covered pokeball, just lying there. They should have all been turned in. A quick glance around revealed to him it's likely occupant. That blue ponyta, one like he had never seen before... But that was Xia's pokemon, or at least the one she had used against that growlithe. Looking down to his hand, he began to wish he hadn't picked it up. The blood on his hand was Xia's. He swallowed hard and looked away, towards the ponyta. It was just left here. That should not be the fate of any pokemon.

Ricky recalled back to that morning, he had told her that he would return her kindness. Now was a good time to do so, though he wished it was under different circumstances. But why was he just standing around? The poor thing was injured and without it's owner. He would approach warily, not knowing how the ponyta would react to the stranger approaching her.

He held out the pokeball,"Is this your's?" He asked, trying to gentle as he attempted to get its attention. "Your owner went to critical care, will you let me help you instead? Then we can see about bringing you back to her." He was half afraid of getting burned again, but walked slowly forward anyway. He could imagine how helpless and alone it must feel. And sure as hell not want any of his own pokemon in the position that the ponyta was.

Ricky slowed his progress as the ponyta flailed to get up. His hand up in a passive gesture,"Easy there, I'm not going to hurt you." He said, and came to a stop as the ponyta backed against the car. Ricky didn't want to make it feel as if she was trapped. From where he stood he looked into her eyes, "Your owner helped me out earlier today. I met her at a breeding center outside of town and she helped me. She seemed like a really nice girl, and I am sure she would not want you to be in any pain. I know this must be really hard for you, you really love her. She is still alive, just hurt." He hoped."I bet when she wakes up, she would love to see that you are okay."

Ricky began to approach her again, very slowly, trying to speak as gently as his voice would allow. He could tell she was scared, and in pain. "But I know she would love to see that you are all right. I got four of my own, and I know that if anything like this ever happened to me that I would give anything for someone to be there for them. Ain't no call for anyone to be alone in this world. When she wakes up, you'll want to be there with her, right? Can you give me a chance? Please? You ain't got to do as I say, or return to your pokeball, or even stay with me. You can even kick me upside the head if you think I am doing you wrong. But I just want to help."

Ricky let out a held breath as the ponyta seemed to calm down."That'ta girl." He said gently, giving the equine a reassuring smile. But as era began trying to walk forward, he wanted to tell her to wait right there, but it seemed too late as he watched her trip. There was little hope of him being able to catch her, but that did not stop him from trying. Almost slipping himself in the blood, he got to her and squatted to his knees. The blood soaking into his bleached jeans to turn them into a crimson red. He tried not to think of it as the girls blood, but he wasn't the type of guy to be afraid to get messy if something needed to get done.

"Easy! Easy! Just relax... Everything will be fine. Calm down and I will take care of the rest." He said and took another deep breath, he needed to get started. But before he did he needed her to calm down, so the ponyta being tired would help to some effect, but he did not want to force himself on her. He wanted it to trust him. "Hey... My name is Ricky, and I promise that everything will be okay. Okay?" He told her softly as He reached out his hands to try and cradle her head to give her neck a rest and to make some physical contact. To be honest, he kind of feared her flame body, having enough burns on his shoulders as is. But he believed the best way to show the ponyta that he could be trusted was to show her some trust from himself. To that effect, a little bit of fear didn't matter, someone needed to be there for her.

As Leo put his guitar back into its case and slung it over his shoulder, he felt it was necessary to get Ray back out into the open again. Ray never liked his Pokeball and was only in it when forced to; and in this case it was probably the paramedics who put him back just out of consideration.

Ray came out of the light in a majestic flash and flew around in the air, happy to be free from his prison. After a few circles in the air he landed on Leos shoulder with a pleased expression that Leo was still fine. "Good to see ya pal. I'm happy to say I'm as healthy as can be." Ray gave a pleasant caw in response and gave a little nibble to his ear.

"”Hey, Leo? Thanks. It meant a lot to me.”"
Leo didn't know how to respond to this. He'd never been thanked in this kind of context before. He couldn't describe the feeling he had inside of him when she said it. Proud? Satisfied? Whatever it was it made him feel good. "Yeah, same to you. If you ever need to talk just call me over."

As the duo walked out from the alley, Leo kept replaying the conversation they just had in his head. Normally by this point he would be abandoned by whoever he was with because he was seen as annoying. What'd he do differently? He was honest with what he said, just as usual. He was lost in thought as they walked together, making occasional glances over towards Sofia trying to analyze her again. Why was she so different? Ray made occasional pecks at his head if he lingered too long looking at her as well. The last thing he needed to be was creepy.

When they arrived at the scene of the crime, most of they bystanders and paramedics had left. There were still several groups of cops roaming around the scene of the crime, gathering any and all evidence they could on who was the cause of this. Before Leo even noticed, Ray flew off from his shoulder straight towards Ricky. Something was going on over there and Ray was obviously worried.

"Hey Ricky! What's going on?" Leo yelled as he jogged over to the young man. Before Leo yelled again though, Ray came flying back to him and started to flutter his wings in Leo's face. This both slowed Leo down and shut him up, considering Ray never does this unless he needed to be quiet. As soon as Ray moved from in front of his face, Leo saw Ricky embracing a bloodied Ponyta. In a whisper, he motioned over to Sofia saying, "Hey, you have any idea what's going on here? Where did this Ponyta come from?"

Ricky smiled again as the ponyta began calming down. That was better. "See? I'm not a bad guy." He said further. Petting her mane gently. He heard his name shouted, it was Leo! Though he was half worried that the sudden shouting might undo his attempts to calm the ponyta, he was rather glad that the result was an intimidating flair rather than something more substantial.

Looking over his shoulder at them, Ricky held out his hand for them to slow down and take it easy. He didn't want to spook her,"Don't worry, these are my friends. They won't hurt you either. And they do not need to come over here if you do not wish them too. Now I got to fix you up, you have bled a lot and you are tired, the sooner I fix you up, the sooner you will feel better. Now just relax."

He removed her hands from her head and reached down to his fanny pack and checked inside to see what he had to work with. He had the basics crammed inside, but he was low on his potions and hadn't yet had the chance to restock before this happened. He had enough to make due for now. Setting the spray bottle down, he pulled out a spool of black thread and a needle. For when his pokemon got lacerations such as these to help them heal faster. The thread specialized for an electric pokemon, but it should still stand up to heat.
