Age: 17

Appearance: Tall, about 5'9. Val has long blonde hair that she neglects to take care of, usually becoming frustrated with it and sweeping it up into a ponytail. She has light brown eyes, bordering on hazel. Clothing-wise, she tosses on whatever is nearby, usually a navy hoodie, tan camo cargo-pants, and military issue boots. She does, however, always keep a dog-tag wound around her wrist. She likes military style. She weights about 140. She swims a lot, and has a lean and fit body. She's more muscular than the average girl, and she takes pride in that. However, if it came down to an actual physical fight with someone bigger than her, Val would rely on her speed to run away, rather than take the risk of becoming hurt. She isn't stupid.


Pokemon:

1. Gengar (Male). This was her first pokemon. She turned up too late for the starter pokemon available when she was ten. But she immediately went out into the woods with her mother's Misdreavus and caught a Gastly. She loves ghost and dark types. Her Gengar is effectively her best friend. Gengar is a prankster, and takes absurd joy in scaring the hell out of other people. Gengar also holds the ability to jump into and take over shadows (as seen in the anime). ((I actually did a lot of research)).

2. Ampharos (Female). Val caught Ampharos when it was a Mareep shortly after catching her Gastly. Mareep actually had wandered into Val's yard. It was lost and confused, but quickly befriended Val and Gastly. Ampharos is a sweet pokemon, often opting for non-violence. She's the peace-keeper, stopping Val when she gets a little too heated. However, when insulted, Ampharos will fry the offender to a crisp.

3. Crobat (Male). Two years later, after catching both Gastly and Mareep, Val wandered into a cave on her adventure. There, she was scared by a zubat swooping down from the ceiling. Mareep was offended by the nerve of the zubat, and ran after it. Val eventually found the Zubat perched on Mareep's back. The Zubat didn't mean to scare anyone. One of his ears was damaged when he was young, and as a result, his echolocation was off. This was later remedied when Zubat evolved, gaining eyes. Keen eye-sight soon made up for deafness in the left ear. Val's Crobat is also unusually large for an average male of the species, and can easily carry Val. Personality-wise, Crobat is still and silent. He rarely speaks, but much can be interpreted through movement.

4. Typhlosion (Male). Typhlosion was given to Val as an egg when she was thirteen. She had come across a breeding center. After helping out with some rabid pokemon issues (wild pokemon would sneak into the breeding center and, well... you know), she was gifted with a mysterious egg. They didn't know what would hatch from it, as there was some confusion with the eggs. It later hatched as a cyndaquil. Typhlosion is exceedingly lazy. He'd rather sleep than do anything else. But when irritated, he has no problem dealing with the nuisances.


5. Poliwrath (Female). Val met Poliwrath as a poliwag in a lake. Vale was swimming, and saw the poliwag flitting about. It caught sight of her, and immediately slapped Val with its tail. It swam away quickly, looking back at Val expectantly. A game of tag ensued. When Val eventually came out of the water, Poliwag hopped out and followed her. It actually wobbled over to her bag, knocked out a great ball, and nudged it over to Val. Happily, Val let poliwag join the team. Poliwag evolved a couple weeks later into a Poliwhirl. Then, while battling, Poliwhirl was knocked back into a pond by a powerful Headbutt. When she emerged Poliwhirl was a Poliwrath, having fallen on a Water Stone. Despite her menacing appearance, Poliwrath is carefree and bubbly. She delights in games. This odd appearance and personality combination often unnerves people and pokemon.

6. Teddiursa (Female). Teddi is the baby. She was recently caught by Val. In truth, the tiny pokemon was stealing food from Val, when Crobat spotted it. Val confronted it, angrily trying to take back the food. Teddi stuck her tongue out and glared. Val laughed, caught off guard by the Teddiursa's spunk. She offered her all the food she wanted if she traveled with them. Teddi gladly accepted. Teddi reflects Val's own personality - self confident, somewhat snide at times, and gives off the aura of being tough. Teddi often rides in Val's backpack, head poking out.
