Fausta Zabat

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, what does changes you."

0 · 435 views · located in Pokémon

a character in “Pokémon Gijinka: Dallea Region”, as played by kyuukonhime

Description

Name: Fausta Zabat

Title/Alias/Nickname*: Faust (by family), Storm-maker, Creeper by the water

Age: Technically 6, died at age 23 making her 29 if you still count her as a ghost as living

Gender: Female

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual

Theme song: I Will Never Die - Delta Rae / Dark, dark yet darker

Species: Mismagnus

Ability: Levitate

Moveset:
  • Thunder: The only attack she has from her dragonite days, lightning rains down from her chest gem at the target or target direction.

  • Payback: Fausta only lets herself get hit when she's planning to use this attack. Fausta returns a physical attack with twice the force as she was given.

  • Shadow Ball: Fausta summons a dark glowing orb in her hands and chucks it like a baseball at her target.

  • Foul play: Fausta grabs the arm or leg of the attacking party, using their momentum against them to slam them into a wall or the ground.

Personality: Fausta is as she was in life, rather playful and wimsical, willing to give anyone a chance so long as they, in return, gave her the same chance. Her playfulness comes from her former life as a Dragonite and living by the sea. As a ghost type, she has taken to scaring the shit out of people for fun as it was her sustenance at one time. On the other side, she is sorrowful and angry. Angry at her manner of death; at those that caused her family harm. Sorrow for the loss of her brother whom she is looking for and worries for his safety. Should a human get in her way, she is not at all hesitant to fight it out.

Strengths:

  • Musician: In her past life, she and her brother were part of a wandering music and dance troupe made up of other dragon types. She does play guitar and owns a tambourine.

  • Socially adaptable: As a former troupe leader, she knows how to work a situation in terms of social interaction. From a classy siore to a rocking rave, she knows how to run a crowd.

  • Cheerleader: Just like above, once someone is considered family she will root for them through the thick of it. Be it in battle or getting them to do something that gives them quite a bit of fear. Sometimes even joining them to encourage them.

Weaknesses:

  • Vengeful: She does not take betrayals lightly since that is what got her killed as a Dragonite, Now she does not forgive any slight against her and family.

  • Dismissive: Mostly to humans, Fausta tends to be rather rude and dismissive toward those that waste her time. Even insulting them if she cannot find any value in them.

  • Forgets she's a ghost type: As odd as this seems, The former dragonite often times completely forgets her own typing and tries to use attacks that she used in life. Only one has survived through death and even then she doesn't use it often.

Appearance: Image
Actually standing on the ground, Fausta stands about 5'6"

Gang/Group/Organization*: N/A

Other*: Fausta is the sister to Pollux Zabat, once being a dragonite but died from a battle that resulted in her being crushed to death in a rock slide. Also when seriously injured, her body retreats into her chest gemstone until she has the strength to reform again. Her reforming can be stopped by placing it in a case of some sort.

So begins...

'What is dead may never die' is how the saying goes. Or at least that was how it was remembered. For only those that have died know if they saying is true. For only garatina knew the real answer if he were to ever tell. As ghosts on this plane never seemed to remember the answer if they were ever told.

The faint glow of in the pocket of one of the ursarings as a long oval shaped gemstone slid out of it's hiding spot. The only light in that room and within that cage was dimmed by a shadowy smoke that started to envelope it. "We rise again, harder and stronger..." a near inaudible whisper in the cage as the smoke cloud grew larger and took shape. A feminane shape and royal purple in color.

What felt like an eternity only went on for little more than ten minutes or so until the formation was complete. A mismagnus gijinka lay in the cage..and subsequently fell out of the cage. Not that it was open in the slightest, ordinary cages were nothing to a ghost. But the grogginess of zen headbutt and being ganged up on by two ursarings soon afterwards was more than enough to keep her somewhat down for the count. "Oo ya yi! That hurt~"
she groaned as she sat up on the floor of this unfamiliar place. She tipped her hat and head forward as she stood, levitating just above the floor once just was up on her feet. Turning toward her knocked out muggers, she shot them a scowl before giving a soft wail at the pain in her head.

"First thing's first. Aid." she muttered to herself as she stepped out of the darkened room. This was not a place she had been before, but it didn't look abandoned like she knew other ghost types would congregate. Not a soul in the building that she would feel aside from the three in the cages. She didn't like the vibe here, not a single bit. If she could find what she was looking for, she would be out of here in no time. Now the question was, where was everybody?

Fausta Pollux

Wandering the halls of this arceus banished place was unnerving. Cages and evidence of other gijinka that had been there, chains and the like the Fausta know that she was in a place she had no business being in. Alive or dead. A rare chill went up her spine as she floated back in the room she 'woke up" in. Back with the others with an idea.

It didn't matter that she was a strong dragonite in life, she wasn't going to lift two beefy ursarings out of their cage. She would have to find another way to help them. Her eyes lay on the stantler who seemed to be stirring. Now that was going to be a problem. "Now now, sha. Go back to sleep."
she cooed while kneeling down and laying her hand over her eyes. It seemed to calm him enough to keep him from waking up. An odd thing, but she didn't knock it. 'Must be somethin' about us ghosts.' she mused, starting to look around the room. She had learned that without a klefki, she wasn't going to just pass them through the bars. It just didn't work that way unless they were part ghost. Fausta tapped her foot on air, humming in thought. "If I was a human with a thing for caging gijinka, where would I put the key?" she mused. This office did have the feel of someone with class...aside from the cages.

The ghost rummaged through the shelves, drawers, mussed the paperwork that was on the desk. Even took a swig of the whiskey that she found. It took for what felt like forever, but she found the key with a look of panic on her face as she had no idea when residents of this place would return. She opened the door to both cages, leaving the ursaring's door ajar as she wasn't going to lift the both of them in the least. The stantler was another story.

The ghost lifted the stantler in her arms and out of the cage, looking like she was caddling him as she floated out of the room, leaving everything in the mussed state. To her, if a human wan't to dirty their hands in a trade like this, she had no sympathy for them. Night descended on the city as she walked out the door, throwing the keys to the side as she floated through the dark of the alleyways. "You safe now sha. You run along when you wake up, 'stand?" Fausta cooed as she set him down against a wall once she felt it was safe. She didn't get done with what she had set out to do in this city, but tomorrow was another day.

Cobrapeak's alleys were a literal maze to the mismagnus outsider. Even walking through buildings proved fuitle at this point. It was only by chance that she wound up on the open street in the morning. At least she didn't need sleep, another perk of the ghost thing she presumed. Even with six years as one, she wasn't quite sure what she was capable of if she was honest with herself.

The streets were alive with people, some getting to work, others at restuants and some out on their morning jog. She even saw someone one on their scolipede who seemingly had fallen asleep on their steed. Must've been a rough night. Still, first thing was first. Find some kind of map, or someone that could guide her around without hassle. Another gijinka preferably. "City gijinka always know good back ways." she muttered as she floated along the side walk, matching the pace of the humans around her. Most either didn't notice or scared shitless by the ghost among them. Block after block, she 'walked' wondering if she could find any sort of directory or even some kind of tourist map.

Fausta stopped at a street corner, huffing at her own misdirection. At least the wasn't the only one lost at this point.

Rome was simply swept away by the size of Cobrapeak City.
They'd never been in any sort of place of this size- the other regions felt small compared to the bustling sprawl of an urban settlement. However, after every day things got easier- after having resided in this monstrosity of a city for three months, while Rome was still astounded by the size of the labyrinth, they could navigate with ease and grace. Running over the plan for today's performances, Rome packed their meager belongings and few things and padded out of the hotel wedged between a Pokecenter and a business skyscraper of some sort. Meandering down the streets to scout out a perfect area, they watched in distracted amusement as people and gijinka alike walked down the sidewalks beside her. The crisp morning air was perfect- Rome allowed their eyes to slide shut in bliss. Then, stopping at a corner, they felt an odd cold feeling tingle in their bones. Opening crystalline eyes, the Gijinka sprung back at the sight of the ghost. Then, recognizing the sensation, Rome hurried to apologize for standing inside the Mismagius. "My apologies! I was enjoying the morning air and was not looking where I was going." They offered a smile, wondering briefly if their odd manner of speaking would throw off the other Gijinka. Hopefully not.

Fausta tapped her foot on concrete...well just above the concrete as she was levetating in place. This city was a maze and she was almost done with it until she could find some kind of map or somekind of guide to lead her around. Even hopping on the back of a flygon would help so much. The mismagius sighed, tipping her hat down as she grumbled curses to herself.

Her curses only stopped when she nearly flinged herself up at the sensation of someone standing inside her. A feeling that she had never gotten the chance or the motivation to deal with. The yearn to be solid was one that would never again be sated at this point. She turned, reading to give whatever human a peice of her mind for walking into her like that, only to find another gijinka. "Alors pas sha! No need to apologize, not every day I get someone to walk into a shade such as mehself." He bowed to the Zoroark like an actor would to a stage, her Coastal Kalos accent heavy but still understandable. "Mornings are a busy time in dis fine city, but I do wonder, how a coastal gal supposted to get around?"

Rome's eyes explored the shimmery form of the Ghost Gijinka, questions swarming like Beedrill in their mind. They offered a sheepish grin, returning the bow and deciphering the Mismagius' words through their thick accent- Kalos? Maybe near the ocean. "Aye, this city of mine is much like a maze, I fear. If you need to find something, I may be able to assist? Us city Gijinka know how to get around." The last part was more of a murmur- they'd found that this city wasn't too accommodating to their kind. "Alas, I have not introduced myself! Deepest apologies. I am Rome Hamilton, street performer and illusionist." they offered a wink, extending their hand for the ghost to shake. Could ghosts do handshakes?

Fausta gave a hearty laugh, extending her hand to take the Zoroark's, though it took a few trys before it was solid enough to actually shake it in return. "The name's Fausta, darlin'. Pleasure to meet anotha' Gijinka. Albeit not like the ones back in kalos." She nodded, tipping her hat toward Rome. Fausta made a mental note in her mind that she couldn't very much tell whether the fox was male or female. Not that it mattered much to her really. Just an oddity that she merely chaucked up to it being a regional thing. Then again, it was rather common with her brother when he was in his performance outfits as well if she recalled.

"Well I do have one question for yeh. Her voice got low as she looked around for anyone who might have been listening in on them. "You happen to see or hear about a dragonair boy? about yeh high, possibly in a danca's dress and beads?" Fausta made a gesture of the one she was looking for's height. A tad taller than her aside from her hat. She looked around again, noticing some humans scampering away at the sight of her. A usual sight for her, but not any less annoying.

Rome's face lit up at the mention of Kalos Gjinka. They'd have to ask about that later- what a fascinating discovery! They hadn't seen many other Gijinka in the other regions- though Kalos had only been a pass-through. Maybe they'd need to pop back in soon. The ghost's voice lowered, and Rome listened closely to the inquiry. "Dragonair boy? I'm afraid not, Miss Fausta. Most Gijinka avoid this city because of the Hunters. They track down and sell us to the highest bidder. Luckily enough I haven't encountered one on my stay but I suppose it's only a matter of time." Rome shifted their weight, watching the passerby with a lazy but observant eye. "A better place to look may be Merrima Village or the woods nearby- an area very hospitable to Gijinka. But meanwhile, why fret the day away? I can give you a tour of the city if you'd like, fair lady." Rome extended a gloved hand- they had nowhere to be until past noon. A little venture around wouldn't hurt, and two was company, after all.

Fausta wailed slightly at their answer, another dead end on the search of her little brother. It'd been six years since she's seen him or even heard from him. It made her heart crack a bit at the thought of him being hurt or worse. Her emotions switched back to the topic at hand at the mention of Hunters. Much like the rest of the regions. "Hunters. We call dem Poachers or less lady-like descriptors." There was venom on her words as she hissed that, her chest gems glowing blood red as a result.

She sighed, letting go of her past anger for the time being. No need to lay a curse on some poor bastard that walked through her by complete accident. That wouldn't bee good for anyone. "Why of course! A day on de town does de heart good! Beating or not! Seeing the va-t-et-vient* of a new city should give us an edge on dose leeches, non?" The mismagius floated herself next to her new companion with a giggle. "De day is still young, Sha! Why not see if we can get 'fast** from a place that'll have us?"

Rome smiled their signature charming smile- the one that often led unsuspecting travelers to stay and watch and not notice as their pockets were emptied of all cash. It had been hard on the road, but now, here in Cobrapeak City, Rome felt that they could shine as brightly as they wanted without having to rob innocent humans for the next meal. "Breakfast sounds delightful. I believe there is a small cafe down the street to our lefts. I would be honored if you would accompany me- it is a stunning spot to have a bite to eat! It overlooks the main merchant roads- an ideal spot to watch the civilians go by about their daily business, mm?" Rome smiled kindly, leading the way for the ghost Gijinka. A tour of their beloved city would certainly lift Rome's spirits- and a hearty breakfast certainly wouldn't hurt either.

Spectral dragonite wing faded into view as Fausta glided behind her new compainion. A tick if you will, one that still showed what she was in life or at least gave a clue for the uninformed. A pure and born mismagius didn't have wings, even if they had done a spell to made them appear; they wouldn't look so well formed and solid. Even as people walked beside them, the wings mearly breezed through them, flapping as if she were flying or rather hovering along the ground.

Cobrapeak was a large and sprawling maze, nothing like Shalour city or even Orsey City. A different feel if you will from the slow and deliberate pace of those cities. Then again, Coastal Kalos was known for it's easy going pace. This city, however, was a different beast altogether. "Are mornings always dis hectic or is dere some kind of event goin' on?" She mused, watching the humans wisk by in a hurry. Now that she thought about it, she and her companion where the only gijinka she'd seen on the street. Not even in the skies flying by. Was this city really that hostile to their kind?

Rome led the way through the city, glad for their camouflage in the pressing crowd. They did worry for Fausta, though- her wings and ghostly figure were rather noticeable. Rome was on high alert for Hunters- but luckily, none had shown up. Yet. "Are mornings always dis hectic or is dere some kind of event goin' on?" Rome smiled a soft smile, glancing back at the Ghost Gijinka. The Mismagius was watching the people breezing past. "It's always this busy. My apologies if it makes you uncomfortable." Rome walked deliberately, the sea of humans parting as they led the ghost to a small alleyway place. It was unassuming; a tiny brick building with a snorlax emblazoned next to the neon name- the Snorlax Cafe. "It's quite a nice little place. It grows on you." Rome commented, leading the Gijinka into the restaurant. "And it's luckily very Gijinka-friendly. For the most part." The performer mentioned, leading Fausta to a small table near the back. "Do ghosts actually need to eat?"

Fausta smiled at the small cafe and it's in habitats. It reminded her of the little out of the way cafes back in kalos. Granted this one had more humans and the ones she was familiar with were gijinka only. Backwoods villages and cafes had an aesthetic that was unheard of in other regions that she found out in her travels. Her mind snapped back to the current space at Rome's question, causing a bit of a giggle. "Not necessarily. But it keeps our...energy up so to speak. At least afta evolving in my case." She mused. Being a ghost had it's perks, being able to go anywhere through anything, but there was always the down sides. Food took a while to eat, sometimes not tasting as good as she remembered. It was sometimes...disheartening to say the least.

"But dis lil'cafe is homey. Like home. Kalosians would feel might filled here." There was a tinge of sorrow in her voice that even she didn't notice. Lost in a big city looking for the lost in her 'life'. And even with all the things that she's experienced so far, none were as agonizing as missing a loved one.
