Personality

Archer Gould is really rather humble. As the second son of a fairly large family, he decided not to act up to get the attention of his peers, his sibling, or his parents. His parents appreciated his maturity in his adolescent years, which was quite different from the rest of his siblings. As his childhood and early teenage years were spent on a farm, Archer is a hard worker, dedicated to the tasks that he has to do.

Coming from a poorer family, Archer has a fascination with all things technology. He thinks it amazing, and the fact that humans have come up with so many innovations...it’s honestly just mind-boggling. But while it is mind-boggling, Archer also see the flaws in it. Coming from the countryside of Unova, he has a true appreciation for reliance of the self, and not on modern amenities. There are skills that he has, that many city folk do not. Archer hopes that he won’t come to rely on something as fickle and ever changing as technology.

While humble and kind, Archer has a will of iron, and his father’s anger. When he sees things that go against his view he gets mad right quick, and it’s loud, intimidating, and otherwise explosive. Archer has more younger siblings than older siblings, so when he sees younger people being bullied, he can’t help but get mad and try to help. Things that go against his core values make him heated.

History

Archer Gould is the second son of Marcus and Cassie Gould, and their fourth child. His elder siblings are Charlie, Mary and Rowena, and he has five younger siblings. After Archer, there is Roxanne, Gilbert, Robert, Sally and little Marcus Junior.

Archer grew up watching domesticated farm Pokemon (farmhands with Trainer Licenses dealt with them, along with his parents. They were kept a few miles away from his house, fenced and gated off), and grew up doing farm chores and helping around the house and in the field with his brother and father. This ingrained into him the values of hardwork and dedication, and the issue of not doing half jobs. His mother homeschooled him until high school, where he needed to go to be accepted into a Pokemon League University. Archer’s original idea for going out to be a Pokemon Trainer was to get away from the farm and under his elder brother’s shadow (the parent’s ‘Golden Child’), but then as he aged, he realized he needed to shift his view. He still wanted to get away, but it was with the idea of supporting his family, and nothing too selfish.

High school was a hard time for Archer. He was very much the definition of the awkward kid for a little bit there, and he was friendless for a short time. But, he went to a public school in a smaller town close to his home, so he gained friendships with a few of the other more awkward kids. In time, he learned how to talk without embarrassing himself and made even more friends. High school taught Archer much needed people skills, and he graduated with a 3.7 GPA, which just barely allowed him to get accepted into the Pokemon League University in Driftveil.

Archer wanted to finish university as fast as possible, so he took the fast-lane. Higher level courses, and an unforgiving course-load was almost too much for Archer. His social life took a hard nosedive, and he was in his room for most of his stay in University. He pulled it off, though. In two years Archer was ready for the Trainer Registration process. As Archer was squeaky clean, he was easily able to get his License. But in the time when he achieved his License, his parents had to layoff a few of the farmhands, so he had to go back home to help them with the farm.

For the four years he worked with his parents, Archer honestly thought about his future. What did he want to go? Where did he want to go? Archer knew that he didn’t want to travel Unova just yet, but Kalos (his first choice) was too far away. Being a fan of the Pokemon Professor, Professor Oak, Archer decided to travel to Kanto. But, of course, only after he finished helping his parents. Archer wanted to start his journey when he was 22, but financial issues stopped him from getting the Pokemon he wanted. So he saved more money for the next two years, and finally was able to buy Ghost-Face, a newly hatched Sneasel. After waiting a year for the acclimation process, Archer finally left for Kanto when he turned 25.

A year later he received his Sneasel, Ghost-Face (or Ghosty), and he booked a flight to the Kanto region.

Pokemon

Ghost-Face

Ghost-Face is the greatest accomplishment of a lesser-known breeder. The breeder had caught an immensely strong female Weavile from around the Snowpoint area in Sinnoh, a dangerous prospect even for the two Trainers he had hired to protect him. Even with the protection of two six-badge trainers (they were going for their seventh in Snowpoint), one of the trainers had to get his foot amputated due to frostbite and the other lost three fingers to the Weavile caught. The breeder paid them for their losses, but they also knew how dangerous it was.

Ghost-Face’s father is the Weavile of a Trainer that has twenty badges. This Weavile grew and evolved from a weaker Sneasel, but the Weavile in question was a powerhouse in its own right. Brutally intelligent, and swifter than most other Weavile, what the Weavile couldn’t make up for in strength, it made up for being the biggest bastard of a fighter.

And Ghost-Face, the Sneasel, is the third hellspawn of these two absolute monsters. Though yes, weaker than his older siblings, he also had his father’s intelligence. Not as strong, not as fast, but even smarter. Though his strength and speed isn’t anything to be sneezed at, considering this Sneasel is still his parent’s child. And then after a year of acclimation by the breeder, Ghost-Face was sold to Archer Gould.

That relationship was rocky at first. Ghost-Face had no trust of Archer, while Archer just wanted to be the little guy’s friend. With being near each other for the months before Archer started his journey, they became friends. Sneasel appreciated Archer’s hard-work, and Archer appreciated Sneasel’s intelligence.

Agent Castle

Agent Castle is among the International Police's most dangerous younger operatives. He was born to a successful operative within the IP, who rose the ranks and currently holds a commanding position in the Intelligence Department, while his mother was a fairly successful trainer in her time (six Kanto badges) before retiring to look after her son. As his father was rarely ever home, and his mother pushing him onto babysitter after babysitter, Agent Castle basically had to raise himself. When his father was home, Agent Castle was subjected to the preaching of a man blinded by the League. He had only said good things about it, and bad things about detractors and enemy forces like Team Rocket. His mother taught him, on the other hand, to always be an independent factor as much as he could. For his childhood, Agent Castle attended a private elementary and middle school, before attending a public school. These were his father's decisions, as he saw something in Agent Castle that honestly terrified the man. In elementary school, Agent Castle was a bully looking for attention. In middle school, Agent Castle was the bullied, being a smaller youth, and he had to learn to act differently, make friends with different sorts of people. His two years of public high school, at his father's behest, was the time that the IP truly took an interest in him. They noticed his sociopathic tendencies, but also noticed his apparent fervour for anything the League. Ruthlessness and a suave personality had the IP's mouth watering, and the probes into Agent Castle had him answering almost exactly how the IP wanted. Agent Castle was recruited when he was sixteen, the same age as many of the best Agents.

His four years of training were most definitely the harshest times Agent Castle had. He was mostly able to fly by in high school and even before that, but even minor mistakes were corrected forcefully, and any infraction was met with harsh punishments. His performance early on was poorer than anyone in the IP expected, yet after a half year of observing and learning, Agent Castle quickly became one of the best in his year. While Agent Castle's performance in intelligence gathering and other not as endangering subject was exemplary, he was not the absolute best. Those were Agent Booker and Agent Tick's specialties. Agent Castle's performance in the most physically demanding was top-tier, and no one bested his scores. He broke a record set by the Agent Looker himself, though only one (as Agent Looker was, and is, the absolute best, and his four years of training was shortened to three, the only time that that had ever happened). His hand-to-hand combat was almost exemplary, and his ability to kill, while hopefully unnecessary, was equally as impressive.

Agent Castle finished his training as second in his class, only behind Agent Booker, who had better overall marks in Intelligence and Interrogation Skills. It was a slim margin, and Tick noted that if Castle had one higher mark in Interrogation Skills, Booker and Castle would have been tied. The three had a strong bond, and Booker and Castle had something of a rivalry going on, though Castle didn't care as much as Booker did. The relationships between the three went to hell when Booker died during his first mission, an oversight of his supervising officer. When Tick found this out, he beat bloody the supervising officer. This outburst was not overlooked by the IP's top brass, who promptly handed him a dishonorable discharge as well as a 5 year prison sentence. Castle, on the other hand, was on his second mission already, completing his first in almost record time. After four months and finally completing his mission, he returned to headquarters, being told of Booker's death. All Castle said was that it was the failure of the supervising agent, and that he deserved what he got. After, he poured a drink for himself and Booker.

Castle's first year had seen him with three missions. His first mission was completed in two months and a day, and it was a success. Castle's supervising officer had only good things to report. Castle took a month to observe other agent's missions, trying to learn everything and anything he could to make sure he would be on priority list when his first two years were completed. His second mission took four months, and while there were errors in his performance, there was nothing that would have caused a call back. The rest of his first year was observation, analyzing, and desk work. His second year saw him on three missions, two of them completed in two months, and the other five months. The other three months were behind a desk. Castle's perfect supervised record had him on priority list quickly, as one of the best of the younger agents the IP's had. And, again for his age, he was easily the most dangerous agent the IP ever trained. Among the IP's operatives under 30, he was their little Golden Killer.

The next five years, his reputation only grew. He was known mostly for target acquisition and neutralization missions. Many of these were shorter, month-long missions that were hard on the body and his consciousness. Though his record was nothing to sneeze at, he has failed in the past. Many failures were a combination of personal error, and errors from the Intelligence Division. There was only one time where Castle could only blame himself, and that was when he got too cocky during an infiltration and was caught stealing information. Castle reported his failures, and was suspended to desk work and rehabilitation. When he returned, he was 25 and refused to fail anymore.

Operation Rocket was a surprise to Castle. Longer operations like Rocket were not Castle's specialty. His commanding officers told him that he was the best suited due in part to his recent experiences, but also how young he was. His mission? Investigate Team Rocket on the ground, going undercover as a Pokemon Trainer. Do not engage, do not join, only kill if you have to. Listen to the rumours, try to find any weaknesses. The mission was two years in the making, and it was only finally able to be put into motion because of Castle. Castle was given six months to prepare a cover story, and another six months to train with his starter Pokemon, Sneasel the Ghost. On June 8th, 2018, Agent Castle was flown to Pallet Town, to start his mission.

Pokemon: Sneasel the Ghost

The Ghost is a Special Forces breed, bred from two International Police Weaviles, the absolute cream of the crop. The acclimation process for an Agent’s starter is different from the norm. The Ghost was introduced to Agent Castle at six months. The beginning of the process was, of course, rocky. The IP Breeder was very careful with the process, like always, and taught Castle how to work with the young Sneasel. For another six months, Castle assisted the breeder with acclimation of The Ghost, and was finally able to train the Pokemon himself.

So begins...
