Totes wasn't the kind to be slow or cautious, so after finishing up with the pool and hearing the agreement that they would take the path upwards rather than follow the beach, he immediately began to climb up the path. forgetting about the little pool of water once again. His feet were light as he made his way ever onwards towards the top of the cliff. The rising wind caused him to shiver, but the smile never deviated from his face.
Each step felt safe and sturdy, taking him ever closer to the top. Occasionally, he stole a glance backwards to look at the others, but didn't want to slow their progress too much. Who knew what amazing adventures awaited them on the top of the cliff? His mind raced with thoughts of a fierce foe to fight, and then a feast afterwards. He reminded himself to snatch one of the berries later.
Once at the top of the cliff, he looked down at the sandy beach below. While climbing, most of the sand had shaken off his scaly skin so that he could now enjoy the feeling of damp grass between his toes.
"This is much better." A lazy smile spread his jaw as he laid down in the grass, rolling around a bit to scratch a particular spot on his back between his spikes. The feeling of the hard ground against his scales felt so good one of his legs began to shake and he closed his eyes as he waited for the others to join him at the top of the cliff.
