|:N I C K N A M E:| She’ll get Lucy or Lulu sometimes, neither of which bothers her at all. She’s just as happy to be called by her full name, though.

Lucina’s hair is a rather lovely, smooth blonde color, almost pale enough to pass for platinum in certain lighting conditions. Rather than such icy highlights, however, it is possessed of a sort of warm sheen, with highlights of bright gold and lowlights of a silky caramel color threaded throughout. It is either very meticulously-maintained or else just naturally soft and straight, and of course Lucina isn’t the type to make it clear which. The length reaches about her mid-back or so, though the front has shorter bits chopped to frame her face.

--» |:E Y E S:|
Her eyes are a rather brilliant shade of aquamarine, caught somewhere between blue and green, perhaps a bit more on the blue side. They might, if one has ever been to the tropics, remind one of the particular shade of the ocean near a white sand beach, and they have a similar depth to them. They seem to be lit with an inner spark, one that looks suspiciously like mirth. They are ringed by lashes just as blonde as her hair, though she sometimes darkens these with cosmetics. Her eyes are pleasantly elliptical, with a slight upward slant at the outside edges. The fact that she wears glasses does nothing to diminish the loveliness of her eyes, and she considers them to be her best feature.

--» |:H E I G H T t:|
She’s a willowy 5’10”.

--» |:W E I G H T:|
About 135, give or take. She’s not one of the people who obsesses about it.

Whether she likes it or not, Lucina has the kind of figure that turns heads pretty much anywhere. It’s not that she hates it—on the contrary, she’s used to the attention and sometimes even enjoys it. That said, she’s still never really had a choice, and even she has days where she’d rather people not scrutinize her the way they do. She is, overall, built long and lean, the kind of figure a better-fed supermodel might get. There’s a decent amount of muscle tone on her person, but not a great deal. Her waist is trim, her hips of a medium set nice enough to flare outwards from her thinnest point. And then, well, there’s her breasts. She figured she had two choices: try and fail to cover them up, or use them to her advantage, and she went with the latter, though some days she wishes she hadn’t. To put the point bluntly: she’s what people are referring to when they say drop-dead gorgeous, and she’s not entirely unaware of the fact, though at least she isn’t obnoxious about it, either.

It’s kind of a funny story, really. Her first and only significant relationship began in her teen years, and ended around the time she turned twenty. It’s a sour thing that she still doesn’t like to think about, and it has arguably poisoned her outlook on love. The two years in between have seen her transition from an avowed opponent of all things romantic to someone who just gets a little grumpy about them, but the bitterness is still there, to be sure. Further complicating matters is the not-so-wonderful fact that she’s either in love with her boss Mr. Blair or else something pretty close to it. She hides this religiously for several reasons, chief among them her own bad experience and also her hunch that, ironically enough, he’s probably the one eligible man she’s ever met who hasn’t at least briefly entertained the thought of her in that capacity. It stings a little.

--» Psychic || While not common in the world, ESP is far from an undocumented phenomenon. Some psychics are famous pokémon trainers, like Saffron City's former Gym Leader Sabrina, and others live quieter lives. Lucina has very strong telekinesis, and her telepathy isn't bad, though it isn't stellar, either. It's actually quite weak unless she touches someone, in which case the contact makes it a great deal stronger. She actually wears gloves to prevent this, because she doesn't want to know that much about the people around her, most of the time.

--» Stage Magic || Her former career left her with a few tricks up her sleeve, so to speak, and she'd very good with misdirecting perception, fooling the senses, and sleight-of-hand. She also reads a mean tarot fortune, should she have reason to do so. Many of these abilities, especially the readings, are enhanced by her natural psychic ability.

--» Balance || Despite looking like someone who might be a bit topheavy, Lucina is quite good at keeping her balance, even at great height. Only rarely does she rip or risk falling, though she can be surprisingly clumsy in other ways at times.

--» Cooking || Having lived on her own for most of her life, she's had to learn to do a lot for herself. She makes an excellent soufflé, and it would seem that even advanced cooking techniques are not beyond her, though of course she isn't a professional chef. Che seems to be unusually comfortable with knives and other sharp, pointy objects as well.

--» Charisma || While her looks can be of great aid to her in achieving her ends, they can only carry a person so far in life. Lucina is, fortunately, also very charismatic and charming, easily able to get on the good side of most anyone by getting a sense of what kind of individual they are and tailoring her own attitude to fit their preferences. It's not something she always enjoys, that kind of manipulation, but nevertheless, she is quite capable of it should the need arise. These days, she mostly keeps authorities and various curious people off the scent of her organization.

|: Q U I R K S :|
--» Clumsy || Though she'll never trip over her own feet, Lucina can be surprisingly clumsy in other ways. She has a bit of a joking office reputation for being a butterfingers, for instance, and she always seems to be misplacing her glasses, which she takes off whenever she's reading or working at something like a computer where she doesn't need to see far away.

--» Reader || You'd never think it to look at her, but Lucina's actually quite the reader. And not of popular magazines, either (unless it's to complain about/make fun of them). Her personal quarters has an entire two walls of bookshelves, mostly packed with fiction and philosophy, but she also has a few popular science books and some informational ones on pokémon. She came to training relatively later in life than most do, and she wanted to make sure she knew what she was doing before she tried it, after all.

--» Flirty || Despite her dislike of all things, holidays, and displays romantic, she tends to be a bit of a flirt in casual interaction with others, mostly out of reflex. Cynical and jaded about such matters she may be, but old habits are hard to break, and it was not so long ago that having this demeanor was good for business. Arguably, it still is, just less often. Most of the people she works with correctly understand that she's like this all the time, and that it doesn't mean anything in particular if she flirts with someone.

|:P E R S O N A L I T Y:|
Jaded; worn out or wearied, as by overwork or overuse. Disillusioned by common forms of life or cynical.
Buoyant; cheering or invigorating; easy and pleasant to be around.

Lucina is someone who at first seems very simple, but actually has a great deal of complicated layers. On the surface, she’s a cheerful, effervescent sort with a touch of sensuality. Some have even erroneously believed her to be stupid or a bimbo, simply because of the way she looks and the fact that she seems to be happy by default. Quite antagonistic to this tendency, however, is the layer of weariness that underlies these tendencies. She’s had her fair share of problems in life; she’s just never felt the need to make this obvious to anyone else. In this sense, she’s a smidge deceptive.

Though she was born poor, she has taught herself sophisticated mannerisms, and can smoothly integrate into basically any social situation as though she belongs there. She has cosmopolitan tastes in everything from wine to art and literature, but she also enjoys some things with the so-called “common touch” as well. She doesn’t talk much about herself, not even to the people that know her best, and as a result, there’s a certain kind of mystery to her, one she doesn’t bother to disambiguate.

All Lucina knows of her family is that they did not want her. It is all she needs to know.

Lucina Lee did not have an auspicious beginning to her life. She isn’t sure who her parents were, only that they or someone else dropped her off at child services in Johto no more than a few days after she was born. She grew up in a state-run home, with children in similar situations, and caretakers who had too many charges and not enough help to really manage all of them. A sad situation, but a common one, and not one she makes a lot of noise about.

She attended school, of course, and did quite well. She was always a bright, energetic child, partially out of a desire to have someone pay attention to her, and partially as a sort of coping mechanism. Her smile became the lie, her easy words the mask. If no one ever suspected anything was wrong, they wouldn’t ask, and she wouldn’t have to tell. Her loneliness became her most closely-guarded secret, and she built a wall around herself, to prevent anyone from seeing in. She made her armor out of her greatest weakness, or so she believed.

At the age of sixteen, she met him. He was twenty-two at the time, which really should have been a red flag, but she’d been so independent for so long that nobody had ever thought she needed to be taught about the dangers of other people. He was charismatic, and handsome, and intelligent, and apparently quite intrigued by her. She was flattered by the attraction, but more than anything, it was the attention that won her over: he listened when she spoke, remembered the things she said, even in passing. He had a focus that made her feel like she was the center of his world, and she’d never had that before, not from anyone or anything.

She fell, and she fell hard.

She told him things she had told no one—about her powers, her dreams, and her loneliness, her vulnerability. He took her under his wing, and brought her into his world, the extravagant one of the performing arts. He was the man in charge of a large traveling show, one with international appeal and a slew of arts-festival accolades. He would teach her his ways, he said, and then he would make her a star. If she had ever wanted for the love of others, she need not want any longer. With her abilities, learning stage magic and performance flourishes came easily, and she could not deny that she loved the costumes and the pageantry and the whole life that came with it. Television appearances, interviews, major celebrity events, all of it. She was made for it, in some ways.

But she would have given it all up in a heartbeat, just for him. He had her wrapped around his fingers, and he knew it even better than she did. She might be the star of his show, but he was everything she had, and he felt quite comfortable in his position at the forefront of her life. Comfortable enough, as it turned out, to think nothing of pulling the same trick with another woman that he had pulled with her.

Lucina shattered, and then she ran, escaping the public eye and choosing to spend her next several years at college, trying to build a new kind of life for herself, one where she needed no one to survive, because she was certain she wanted no one anymore, either. If that was how much it hurt to have company, she would take the loneliness any day. She buried herself in work, and emerged with a degree in literature. She was underemployed as a secretary for Silph for a while, but it wasn’t long into that job that she met a most curious person, with a strangely-appealing vision for the world. He hired her to work for him, at twice what Silph was paying her, and that was how she joined Team _____. The rest, as they say, is history.
