Somewhere far from our own world

The world of Pokemon has never been perfect, in fact far from it. Liars, thieves, murderers... But nothing like this has been seen before. Young trainers have been mysteriously disappearing, and no one can figure out why. Families are waiting anxiously for calls, police are searching every corner they can find in all the regions, but none have been found. The numbers keep rising, and few places remain untouched, except those place, the places where trainers dare not tread. The mystery zones are never braved alone by even champions, and only teams comprised all of those leaders within a Pokemon league may venture into their depths. This occurrence only happens once every few hundred years as a means of settling new regions... So why would anyone dare to brave the wilderness?

They never would expect to find an odd, completely fenced in compound, with a large building like a hospital centered within it. The only way inside is a heavy, thick metal gate, coursing with electricity and armed to the teeth. However, these defenses only point inward, keeping its contents contained. The electrified fence stretches high over head, completely enclosing the sky. Below the ground lie even more defenses, none to be taken lightly. Whatever is in there will not escape with ease.

It is here that the missing trainers have been taken, hidden within acres and acres of untamed forests. They are far from hope of rescue, hidden from sight. Even if one did know their location it would take a massive operation to save them. And the longer the authorities take, the more go missing without any explanation...

Welcome to your new home...

As a recently kidnapped trainer, you have no idea where you are. The last you remember is seeing something odd, and an odd feeling of vertigo before you passed out. Your Pokemon and your things have all been taken, and you sit inside a something like a prison cell, but its bright white and sterile smelling, like a hospital. Listening closely near the door, you can hear the sounds of screaming, crying, people panicking, people demanding... Nobody tells you what's happening, and it's unlikely that they even know for themselves. All you know is that you get three meals a day, and throughout the day, odd men completely cloaked in white walk the hallways and take another soul back with them. Soon, it will be your turn. You don't know what will happen, but you want to get out before it does. Your odds get slimmer and slimmer with each passing body.

Soon enough, you're up next...

Image

Now you can never leave.

The test doesn't take long, but they strap you down for it anyway. Just a small sample of blood, a little prick in the arm and it's all done. Thirty minutes or so and the results will be in...

But that's just the test. Now comes the harder part.

After selecting the closest genetic match, you are injected with a serum of DNA and enzymes designed to recode the body. The prime place to place this serum? Up in the back of the neck, just under the skull into the stem of the brain. It's not exactly a pleasant experience. But not bad, for now.

Until the changes begin, slowly but surely, stretching your skin, shedding it, bones grinding against each other, teeth growing, senses being gained and lost, appendages appearing, hair falling out and growing back in... It can last from hours to months, sitting in a padded cell with nothing to do but grit your teach and bear it. At last, you are finished. But you are now even further from being free...

Welcome to "The Gijinka Experiment"! A few things to clarify before we continue on:

  • The roleplay will begin from the point of initial capture. There will be character-character interaction through communication between nearby cells, likely plotting to escape. Which of course will fail.
  • This is a literate roleplay. I love my nitty gritty details, so there's no max limit on posts, but please give me minimum a solid paragraph or two with good details to work off of.
  • While I do not condone anyone who wishes to escalate things sexually, please follow the rules of no-smut for the site and make sure to take the rest of it elsewhere
  • Unlimited characters as long as you are capable of handling that many
  • That said, only one of each type of Gijinka (That means one from each evolution line, the exception if the evolution line diverges, which then you must put in your profile the intended evolution.)
  • No lengendary/mythical pokemon, and no overpowered, untouchable characters. This may be pokemon, but even pokemon can be hurt and killed.
  • Please for the love of all that is holy do not give me eight eevee characters and nothing else. Yes Eevee is cool. But I want variety.
  • No Mary Sues/Gary Stus. No one is perfect and exempt from the laws that govern all life.
  • This roleplay may get graphic, beware.
  • I prefer characters ages 16+, but limited younger characters will be accepted
  • If there is interest, I will consider allowing researcher characters (either gijinka or not)

Now, if you can handle all of that, here is a profile skeleton to fill out when submitting a character! Be sure to replace everything in {}s.

The smell of chlorine and soap hung heavy in the air, as the room swum hazily into Mika's returning vision. Her body felt almost numb to feeling, beyond the scratches on her forearms and the dull, burning pain in the side of her neck. At first glance, she thought she was in a hospital of some kind... maybe the one in Lumiose City... and so she breathed a sigh - whatever had happened, it was probably not best to jump out of bed.

Trying to focus her vision, she stared at the pure white ceiling, picking out flecks of dirt and discolouration with her eyes. It felt like late-morning, as sunlight drifted lazily through the black metal bars and grate over the high window.

Wait... bars?, she thought to herself. What sort of hospital has bars on the window?

In that moment, all sense of safety and security was lost, and Mika snapped bolt upright to assess the rest of the room. Apart from the bed she lay in, the room was almost completely empty. The walls were pure white and her belongings were nowhere to be seen on the dark, metallic floor, even under the bed. Her black clothing had been replaced by white, pajama-like garments, and her shoes, gloves and belt were missing. A jolt of horror shot through her, transcending the pain that was beginning to manifest in the rest of her body as she moved so suddenly; her pokeballs were not here!

"Houndour!" Mika yelled, hoping her faithful companion would come bursting into the room through the steely-looking door opposite her bed. "Houndour! Where are you, boy?!"

Please be okay, boy... please..., she thought to herself, tears beginning to form in her eyes as she realized that she was completely alone here. ...no...NO... I have to do something. I can't just wait here... Pulling her legs over the edge of the bed, Mika stepped down on to the metal floor, and almost collapsed immediately - her legs felt like jelly. How long have I been in here for? She took a moment to gain her composure before shifting her way over to the door. As she drew closer, she could hear a lot of commotion from the other side, none of which filled her with confidence: screams of pain and suffering, shouting, and machinery. The door seemed quite thick, judging by the window plating, the gap in which was just slightly above head height.

Raising her arms up to the bars over the door's window, Mika prepared herself, taking the strain of her own weight into her weakened arms, before hoisting herself to get a clear view of what lay beyond her prison. Looking left and right, she could see a great number of identical doors with the same barred windows up and down a narrow corridor. Although unable to see anyone, Mika could hear other hushed voices nearby, under the violent ambiance.

"Help!" she forced out in a whisper-like voice. "Is there anyone there?! Ah- shit!"

Her pleas were short-lived, as her arms began to buckle and she fell back to the floor with a groan, collapsing against the door as her legs gave way under her. She could still hear voices, and the sounds of another door opening nearby.

Elizabeth Veleno

"Well we were kidnapped, and brought here. Wherever this is anyway. They want to experiment on us i think. Though I don't know exactly what they're doing. My name's Kyle by the way." Wait we were kidnapped thought Elizabeth to her-self but why kidnap young adults like her? that was a question Elizabeth wanted to know but she hadn't the means to answer at the current moment. "But don't worry. We'll get out of here somehow. I'm sure of it!" That line came out with more confidence to Elizabeth's ears making her at least a little more calm then she was.

He sounds to confident hes hiding something.......maybe he is working with the people who kidnapped us. Maybe just maybe hes a spy to keep us and the others in check. That would be stupid why would they do that its counter intuitive and i bet hes just as scared as we are only he is better at hiding it or maybe he even has a plan. only in our dreams Elizabeth only in our dreams.

Just as Elizabeth was going to continue to ague with her self she heard other voices close to her cell."Help!" quickly followed by "Is there anyone there?! Ah- shit!"

"We thank you for this information Kyle" Elizabeth spoke with venom in her voice. "And you are not alone our fellow captive my name is Elizabeth. What is your name?" she asked with a much more sincere tone to her voice "Come to think of it why dont we all tell each other our names and talk about something other then pain" Elizabeth said with stress on the word pain.

After saying that Elizabeth sat down in her room thinking about how horrible she sounded and about this situation. Well at least we thinking of the pain are we Elizabeth. The voice in her head laughed in what felt to be pure darkness

Mat

One by one they were taken. Some fought, some tried to escape, others just went along peacefully. In the end they had all been taken down the same hall. In the end they all came back through to be shut in the cells down in the other block. He bid his time but it seemed rather inevitable. Why else would he be here if not for whatever purpose they had in store for these other folks.

Of course there were still more, others still waiting to be taken in. The closest occupied cells were two women, one with blonde hair and soft features, the other with black hair and a sharper look. Speaking to them was the guy from earlier, Kyle. Honestly past his explanation what more needed to be said? Mat was doing little more than leaning on the sill of the barred window to his door, awaiting the fate in store for each of them. He knew little of what was to become of him but from what he had seem from the others it wasn't going to be pretty. He briefly heard another person speak but the woman disappeared back behind the door before he could get a good look. Not that it mattered much, there were many faces here, all confused and many hurt.

Always too soon they came for him like they had for the others. Two large men unlocked the door, prepared for any number of desperate actions. Mat simply stepped between them, a depressed sigh escaping his lips as he frowned. "No need for any rough business, I get the picture." He stated. They took his arms anyways and brought him down the hall, Mat meeting the pace of his jailers so they didn't have to drag him. He cooperated mostly for his own sake, he'd of rather been walking any other direction than towards those two sterile white doors but it's not like he'd be going anywhere else even if he did try and slip their grips. In the end the only difference a struggle would yield would be the number of bruises he'd be going in with.

He passed through the doors and down a plain white hallway with numerous doors on either side, most of them operating rooms it seemed. In what felt like minutes when in reality it was more like thirty seconds they brought him to his operating room where they were ready for him. They had a table ready for him, straps for his limbs and head included. They walked him inside and sat him down on the table before laying him down so they could strap him in. Wrists tied, Ankles bound and a final strap firmly wrapped across his forehead, he was more than well enough restrained that the two men who had brought him were no longer necessary. Not that the men were all too necessary in the first place with him. He was less than keen on making an escape attempt given the security he's seen manned at each entrance he's passed by.

An older man in a white jacket approached him. The man had round glasses and a short beard but what really drew Mat's gaze was the needle in his hand. While not the largest most menacing needle out there something about needles always made Mat's skin crawl. "We'll need to draw a sample first." The doctor was already rolling his sleeve up. "Doesn't sound all too fun." Mat remarked, his feet twitching in fear of the needle's impending insertion. "It'll only be a prick." With that the doctor carefully inserted the needle so as to hit one of the veins in his arm. The empty glass container at the base of the needle filled with his blood as the doctor drew back the plunger. With grit teeth Mat endured the process, the pain not really as strong as he initially feared. Wasn't that always the case with things that look so menacing?

Once he had enough for processing the doctor withdrew the needle. Looking over the sample he had a faint smile as he retreated back to the back room. Mat laid there, his arm bleeding ever so slightly as the doctor had made no effort in bandaging the spot he drew his sample from. This was the least of Mat's concerns as the thought of what they were doing with his blood made him uncomforted. His eyes wandered the room, glancing over the various tools laying about. It seemed they could perform a large number of surgeries from here. I wonder how often they've needed to use most of those things...

Without any reference of time it seemed like forever before the doctor returned again. Given his situation he could of waited for much longer given what he was looking at. In the doctor's hands was another needle, this time a far larger one which was vastly more terrifying than the previous needle. Inside the base swam a clear looking fluid which held what looked like strange looking spores inside. Three or four spores which were a shade of blue so dark they looked black drifted idly within the solution. What was most alien about these strange things he couldn't possibly identify were the faint fibers just slightly poking out all around each spore, moving faintly. Whether they were moving because of the sloshing of the fluid or because they were alive was unknown. All Mat knew was that this whole scenario had gone from extremely unfortunate to outright madness.

"Interesting, most interesting indeed." The doctor remarked, approaching the side of mat's table. He was starting to sweat in terror of the idea of having those strange spores going inside him. "A-are those things going in my blood?" Given this was going to happen whether he liked it or not he figured he might as well start asking now since he might not be lucid enough to talk after those things go in. The wizened old doctor gave a bemused chuckle at this presumption. "No..."

With the hit of a switch the bed suddenly fell forward, the bottom hitting the center support. Mat was now upright, though his still couldn't touch the ground. He felt his weight slumping against the restraints which still left practically no room to squirm in given how firmly they were secured. "They're going in your bone." Mat couldn't see the cruel grin on the man's face given he was behind the table getting ready to begin insertion. Worse and worse yet still further down the rabbit hole he had yet to fall.

In the face of all the horrors and agonies he was going to suffer one would expect for him to panic, yell and curse the names of whoever was doing this to them as anyone else would. Though his knees shook with dreadful anticipation and the sweat dripping down his face was cold with fear he did no such thing. He bid his time showing an unprecedented level of gravitas even as a panel under his neck was opened up. All the while a simple thought had caught inside his head, refusing to leave him be.

"Do you know what time it is?" He asked the doctor before he could align the syringe. The doctor was struck with a quizzical expression. "It's eight thirty. Why do you ask?"

"Just curious. Can't tell the time down here without a clock."

An odd exchange. It seemed rather out of place given it's mundanity. The doctor had to pause, if even for a moment. Sometimes it is easy for people to forget that their victims are just people.

...

Alas, it was a passing moment. Mat shuddered when something cold and wet touched his back. Something had been applied across his skin in a small circle. It was easy enough to guess what it might of been. "Oh good. Anesthetic."

"Yes. Wouldn't want you dying from shock now would we?" The doctor would've chuckled at this statement but somehow it didn't really seem appropriate. Regardless, it was time to get the main show started.

The patch on his back had grown numb by the time he felt the needle touch down. Thanks to the specialized grip on the syringe the doctor was able to drive the needle through the hard exterior all the way into the marrow with some upper body strength and a bit of twisting. Even with the anesthetic he felt a distant pain along with the mild sensation of having something moving around inside his spine. Depressing the plunger he solution along with the odd motes flowed into the marrow, mingling the moment it touched organic tissue.

Like that it was done. Slowly and delicately removing the bone syringe from his back the doctor made sure the wound wasn't leaking anything before bandaging his back up. Mat could hardly feel his back, the whole surface's nerves were dull. His limbs were limps as a result of the loss of ability to use his spine for now. All he could really muster was to weakly move his fingers and wiggle his toes. After that experience he felt largely drained ironically enough given the purpose of the operation was the opposite of draining.

After all that tension Mat wanted nothing more than to sleep. He rested on the table, wishing for little more than the opportunity to rest. He heard the door to the back room open up, this time a woman in a lab coat had stepped forward. She was carrying along with her a canister with a tube attached to a mask. "Here, something to help you along the way."

He didn't necessarily trust what they were going to have him breath but after letting them inject whatever those things were struggling now seemed redundant. Already a pain was starting to grow from his spine. Simply closing his eyes he tried to empty his mind and escape all the pain, all the tears, all the misery he was surrounded by. To escape this horrible place he cast his mind to somewhere, anywhere else. Thought's of Odd came into view as the mask slipped on, the gas filtering into his lungs. Wherever he was at that moment, he was with Odd. Any place was just fine when they were together.

The edges of his mouth formed into a small smile as he slipped out of consciousness. The nitrous oxide helped him pass out before the changes could begin. that way he couldn't feel the pain which would no doubt intensify through the early stages of this transformation he was about to undergo. They removed the mask and placed his slumbering form onto a patient transfer bed. With this small act of mercy they got a couple of assistants to wheel him down to the cell which he would be staying.

Passing the cells which used to neighbor his own the rest of those awaiting their trip down could see him rolling past their block and over to the block where they kept them post operation. When they arrived they eased his unconscious body from the transport to the cell's bed. It wasn't quite as uncomfortable as the previous cell's bed given how everything was padded for his safety but it sure wasn't going to get any positive reviews anytime soon. Still, anything was fine since he wasn't actually aware of anything happening around or to him. With that they shut and locked him in, leaving him to rest.

Meanwhile, the bio-mechanical cells in his spine were hard at work making major changes starting with the rest of his marrow.

Alexander Ashfist & Kasimir Oskar

Alexander was dragged out of the holding room where his fellow captives where held. Carried up several flights of stairs to a room which had B2 above the doors. He was pushed though the doors face first to see a terrifying sight. There before him stood a man with white hair in a lab coat. He has a very soft smile on his face, but besides that his face was calm which is what scared Alexander the most.

Behind him was a steel table with build in restraints. The table was covered in blood and small pieces of meat. Alexander wish he could not figure out what it was but could not help it. Behind the table and other medical gear was the mutilated body's of what looked like deformed humans. There limps removed there organs spilled out of there ripped open torsos, pilled upon one another almost making the pile of corpses almost 6 feet high.

"Welcome". The Strange man greeted him his voice calm and smooth as though this was all normal for him. "Put the boy on the operation platform lock him in and leave us." he ordered the men who despite Alexanders best attempts stripped him of his shirt and put him into the restraints. There where so many he could not even move a finger.

Kasimir looked over Alexanders body. It was physically fit and despite some damage to the left arm and a wound on the back of his head. Nothing that should interfere with the operation. "So boy I am guessing your quite scared right now. As I am a kind man I will tell you whats going on as I work." The man grabbed several bags of liquids and started to put needles at the end of tubs. "This is a human experimentation facility working to accomplish a simple goal. To enhance humans with the characteristics of Pokemon".

Alexander laid there quietly too terrified to speak so he listened as the doctor stabbed the needles into his arms and felt the liquid begin to flow into his body. "All of you young children and going to become half breeds, half human half Pokemon. You are injected with a virus created by extracting stem cells from Pokemon whose DNA is the most compatible with your own". Kasimir grabbed two copper pins and stabbed them into Alexanders chest. Pain coursed though Alexanders body. Do to his upbringing with amount of pain was quite durable so he simply gave the madman a smile.

"Normally the processes is quite simple, and has minimal pain. You boy however are problematic, your chances of living are quite low so I am doing you quite the favor by preforming this operation myself." Kasimir smirked as he went and grabbed a vile filled with a blue liquid. "You have one of the few who have ever had any form of compatibility with this particular evolutionary tree. Its a very strong one too so I hope that eases what I am about to do next". The doctor leaned in close to Alexanders smiling face and gave his own smile. Without missing a beat, Kasimir stabbed the needle into Alexanders neck then backed away.

Alexander felt as the needle pierced his neck and whatever was pumped into him. At fist there was nothing his body was calm despite all the needles and chemicals being pumped in. He started to get his bravo back. "Hehehe is that i-" As soon as he began to speak his heart surged and everything seemed to stop. Then from his head pain began to shoot out throughout his body. It felt as thought his nerves where being pipped apart from the steam of his brain. "GHRAHAHAHHHAHA" He screamed in pain, unlike any he had ever felt before. with each beat of his heart it was another wave of suffering. Blood began to come out from his ears and mouth. His vision become blurry and could not hear anything but his own voice. Kasimir watched at the boy before him suffered, but this was all to be expected.

Alexander felt the bones at the tips of his fingers begin to grow at a rapid pace, ripping the skin away as bone claws grew out of the tips. His teeth felt as though they where being crushed together as the bottom canines began to push others out of the way as they grew longer. Then that was it Alexanders vision went black.

Kasimir looks as the young boy slumped before him. and the heart reader that was next to him went flat. "Oh no boy, your not allowed to die yet". Quickly Kasimir grabbed an Adrenalin shot and injected it into the boys chest, then flipped a switch on the wall. This sent a electric shock throughout Alexanders body from the pins he put in the boys chest.

Alexander suddenly awoke to even more pain as he was electrocuted from head to toe. once more he screamed as he coughed up more blood. His head began to feel as though it was split open as bone started to grow out of the skull forming lines that went down the back of his neck.

Kashmir turned off the electric current that was flowing throughout Alexanders body. The boy fainted as soon as it was off. He went over and checked Alexanders vittles. Not good. He was highly unstable but he had survived the first part of the transforming. Normally it was not so fast but he had injected the boy with chemicals to make the process go faster so he could make him survive him getting over the hard part. Now it was merely up to the subject. He started to remove the restraints from the unconscious boy. "Come in and take this boy to his cell, give him clothes food and something to clean himself up with. I am done here". Kasimir watched as the boy was dragged off.

"Damn that boy screams loud. But i look foreword to seeing how you developed my little pet" Kasimir said as a grin covered his face. "So survive so I may have more fun with you"!

Alexander awoke in his cell. His body was in utter agony. As he brought up his hands to try and see if he could stand and saw his hands. Alexander then began to cry. Unbearable pain and now he was a freak.

Helena Rosecraft

Helena was quiet as Kyle explained the situation he had determined thus far, understanding the words but many things still didn't make sense in her head, like why anyone would kidnap her for a subject in an experiment. Her mother was bound to notice her missing after all. And when her mother discovered her disappearance...

The boy's firm, reassuring words seemed confident enough, perhaps he had some kind of plan? It settled her nerves a bit and gave her a bit of hope, even if her brain told her it was likely in vain. She could hear the footsteps of someone in the halls, and the door didn't seem like they would be breaking it down or picking the lock any time soon.

"We thank you for this information Kyle" she heard another woman say, the venom dripping from her voice, before addressing the other female voice who had chimed in. It gave Helena some time to take a few steps back and think. Most times in her books when characters found themselves in situations like these, their manner of escaped seemed to be through the lack of foresight of their captors. However, this facility seemed to have prepared for everything. The room itself had no air vents, the door didn't have much means of being opened from her side, and the only small metal things in the room were the springs in the bed, which she didn't even have a way of getting to without something sharp. On her person was nothing but her blouse, her skirt, and the hair tie on her wrist. That meant the only method of escape would be waiting for the guards to open the door an trying to get away through them. Fighting was far out of the option for a slim girl of 5 feet and 3 inches, not to mention even the other, likely stronger male from earlier had been quickly beaten into submission. With the soft sound of footsteps from the end of the hallway though, she would bet her money someone was waiting there for them to make a run for it, who knew with what. Perhaps some sort of tranquilizers or more damaging weapons. To try to escape was high risk, unless it was a well coordinated, simultaneous breach. But since they were only taking people away one at a time thus far, it seemed this would prove impossible.

"Thank you for your optimism, but I don't believe that we have any means of escape at this point, from what I can deduce. We would need a well orchestrated simultaneous containment breach, and even then only a few have any hope of making past the end of the hallway, and from there everything is unknown. I think we would be best to stay complacent for now, and go along as we are told. Perhaps we will still be able to escape with time." As she spoke, her blue eyes looked dully at Kyle, clearly holding no hope. "Sorry to be so frank with you. I'm Helena, I wish I could say that it's a pleasure, but perhaps it would be under different circumstances."

Mika's head rested against the cold, metal door, her eyes half-shut staring down at her hands; the sounds of horror audible outside digging into her mind, leaving the sense of acceptance in her that soon it would be her turn to face it. She began to think back, trying desperately to remember how this happened, or who would kidnap her like this.

16... Route 16... I was on the way home. Yes. Houndour was there. We crossed the ridge, and, I could see the lake. There were... men. Yes. Two. Rangers?... No. They couldn't be, could they? They shouted to me. I stopped, thinking they were Rangers. I... She glanced at the scratches on her arm for a split-second before turning her gaze to the floor. They sent their pokemon after me. Two big, Mightyena fuckers... Houndour... he... he took on one of them, but I didn't have time to bring out any of my pokemon. The other one leapt at me... and I.... I was on the ground. My arms were pinned... I'd never felt pain like that in my life - not even from my father's hands. Houndour kept fighting... and one of the men told me to call him off, or I was dead. I was so scared. I... I called Houndour to come back, and he stopped fighting the Mightyena and fell back. I heard a loud click, a hiss like gas escaping a balloon, and then a yelp... no... no... Houndour... no...

Mika started to sob into her knees, knowing that something terrible had happened to her faithful friend. After that point her memories of the kidnapping just blurred into darkness, but it was irrelevant. She knew that these people, whoever they were, had her pokemon too, probably putting them through the same horrors that other people were facing in other rooms in the same corridor.

A knot in her stomach was forming, as she could hear multiple, heavy footsteps from the corridor outside. Silently, tears still streaming down her face, she prayed that they would leave her alone, but as they grew louder and louder, she began to shake. They suddenly stopped, and there was a brief moment's silence.

Please... don't come for me...

An electronic beeping could be heard over screeching metal as whatever locking mechanism was on the door began to open, and Mika scrambled as far away from the door as she could, her heart almost in her mouth. Three men in white coats entered the room, two in front on the left and right, and one man with a clipboard, just behind them.

The man with the clipboard spoke, in a chilling voice - one that spread no sense of remorse or emotion, no sympathy for the situation that this girl had awoken in.

"Ah... you're awake, this is good. I thought we would have to break out the electrodes... oh... what a pity, actually..." He drew closer, pulling out a small flashlight from his pocket. Mika pushed her back firmly against the wall, as he knelt down in front of her. Using his other hand, he grabbed a hold of her chin, forcing her to look into the flashlight, as the other two men closed in on her. "Hmm... no visible dilation of the pupils. The subject seems suitably responsive to sound and visual cues, and is capable of basic physical maneuvering. We can begin." He nodded to the other men before standing and turning on his heel to leave the room. "Bring her."

Without hesitation, the two men grabbed Mika's arms, and pulled her back to her feet, guiding her out of the cell and into the corridor. She struggled to keep pace with the men on either side of her, so at points, she started to be dragged along to the end of what seemed like an infinitely long hallway, but Mika was too busy trying to see any of the other prisoners who might be here, but alas', there was no-one to see the commotion. The end of the corridor was fast approaching, and her whole body began to tense in fear of what lay behind the white, double doors.

Inside, the first thing Mika noticed was what looked like a refurbished dentist's chair, fitted with straps and restraints, along with clamps near the headrest. The scientist with the clipboard was standing behind the chair, smiling at Mika.

"Perhaps we can be civil here, miss." He said calmly. "There are easy ways and hard ways for us to do things, and it is up to you how we go about this, so I will give you one chance to do this the easy way." He glanced to the two men. "Let go of her." The men released their grip on Mika's arms, and stepped back towards the door. "Please... take a seat."

Mika stared at the chair, knowing that if she sat down there, she was going to be in for a world of pain, but at the same time, she realized the futility of resisting. In her weakened state, and without her pokemon to save her, she was helpless. Slowly, she moved towards the chair, glancing over her shoulder at the two other men in coats.

"Good girl. I knew you were a wise one, from the moment you arrived here." There was a hint of a chuckle in the man's voice. Mika sat down in the chair, and immediately, the scientist began fastening straps, securing her body, arms and legs in place. "Now, I need you to look straight ahead for me, whilst I place these clamps. Don't worry - this bit won't hurt." Reluctantly, she straightened her neck to look straight ahead at the wall, covered in charts and x-rays, as the scientist secured the clamps around her head and neck. She was now completely immobile. "Very good," the scientist smiled, "now tell me, what is your name?"

She felt a pang of hesitation in her already panicked chest, before blurting out, "M-Michaela... My name is Michaela." Every part of her mind was screaming that this was a bad idea, but there was no other way that occurred to her.

"Michaela... a lovely name. So... tell me, Michaela... why do you think you are here?" He rubbed a damp swab across her upper arm, before raising a syringe towards the cleaned area. "This will sting, just a little, but try to relax."

Mika clenched her teeth as the needle tore into flesh, drawing a small amount of blood into the syringe, before sliding back out. "I was hoping maybe... maybe you could tell me why I'm here, doctor?"

The scientist laughed. "All in good time... but for now, I need to do some quick tests with this sample of blood. Excuse me." The scientist headed into another room, leaving Mika to stare at the wall ahead of her. She couldn't help but notice that some of the x-rays on the wall did not look completely human. Some showed humanoid limbs with large protusions, not unlike claws or talons, or armoured plates... What... in the name of all that is holy... are these things?... Are these... people? They aren't pokemon, certainly not even resembling ones that I've ever seen or heard of.

Her contemplation was disturbed by the returning of the scientist, who stepped around to the front of the chair, bending forward ever so slightly to bring his head down into Mika's resting eyeline. "I've done the tests... and I've found a suitable match for your DNA-..."

"A match?!" Mika interrupted, but the scientist seemed undisturbed.

"Yes. You see, the reason you are here... it's not out of cruelty, or for torture, or for show... no... we want to make you... stronger." He stood up again, and headed out of sight, behind the chair. "We've been studying Pokemon DNA for decades now across the world - scientists everywhere engaging in isolating genomes and functional components of the very basis for life itself... but we are on the verge of a new era." Mika could feel something cold and wet being applied to her neck - a finger rubbing some sort of gel around in circles, but quickly, the feeling in the area grew numb, and she could no longer sense the finger moving. "Most people do not understand why we are here, or why our research is so groundbreaking. Fortunately we have had no shortage of... volunteers... to join us here. Tell me, Michaela, honestly, have you ever wanted to feel stronger? To be... more than yourself?"

The numbness was spreading down her back, and the lights in the room began to feel a little brighter than before. She could hear her own heartbeat slowing down a little. "We... all want to be stronger..."

The scientist hummed contentedly. "Then let me help you to become stronger... Now... I will not lie to you. This final part is going to hurt. A lot... but... you will be glad that I had given you an anaesthetic when it is over..." The scientist paused. "Tell me when you are prepared, and I will begin."

Mika gulped, and took a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. "I don't think I'll ever be ready... just... just do it, and get it over with!" Immediately, she clenched her teeth, bracing for the worst. She could faintly feel some sort of needle press her neck, but no immediate pain, until it started to press between the discs of her upper spine, into her central nervous system. In a split second, her body went from being at ease, to feeling like someone was electrocuting every inch of her body. She let out a scream of pain, that lasted for a good fifteen seconds before she had to draw breath, her shaking body straining against the straps binding her to the chair. Please god! Make it stop! Please!

As the syringe delivered its payload, all of Mika's muscles began to tighten and cramp, as whatever the contents had started to infiltrate her system. The pain grew too much for her to bear, and she slipped away into unconsciousness.

Desiree Johnson

Desiree looked across the way at what she could just make out a something like a swirling tan and purple mist, but her still faded feeling vision didn't let her make out much more than that. Annoyed, she rubbed her eyes once more with the loose sleeve of her sweater, which tugged one end of the neck down over her shoulder, but at this point she didn't care much.

"Hey-HURK" she heard him fall into an awful sounding coughing fit, deep and mildly terrifying. Waiting for him to finish, she awkwardly debated saying something like bless you, even if it was quite the right context. It seemed more awkward though to say nothing at all...

"Gesundheit," she offered. "That doesn't sound like much fun over there."

Of course, she wasn't having much fun either, as everything continued to itch. She nearly went to scratch her head again, but quickly caught herself and decided to pat it instead, which still got a few hairs stuck to her fingers. Taking a step back from the door, she flipped her hair forward like she was going to dry it and shook it out, allowing quite a bit of dark brown to fall out this way. If it was going to go, at least this way was better than taking her scalp with it. Flipping it back up, she absently rubbed one shoulder and felt little rough bumps on it, and a pain that was like touching a sunburn.

With a sigh, she pressed up against the door again. "I'd say we could still get out of here, but I don't think that would be a good idea at this point... At least we get free food." She gave a bitter laugh, forehead rested against the cool metal bars.

Kyle cringed slightly as the girl named Elizabeth thanked him. She spoke with venom, and Kyle thought she seemed slightly sinister. Of course Kyle decided not to think much about it. She was a prisoner as well, and this could simply be her way of dealing with it, there was no real reason not to trust her at least not at this point. Elizabeth then began to speak to another prisoner. The other girl whose name he did not yet know seemed to be in a moment of thought, though after a few moments she began to speak. She didn't seem to confidant about escaping, and she actually made some pretty good points. Even if they did manage to get out of here there was no guarantee they would make it very far at all.

Kyle didn't like it but now he was starting to feel a pinprick of doubt, though he tried his hardest to keep it from festering."I'd hate to admit it Helena but you're probably right. Getting out of here won't be easy, but I'm confident we'll have some opportunity to escape. Even if we have to wait awhile." His words sounded as confident as ever, though if one looked closely they would see that there was in fact a small amount of doubt lingering in his eyes.

It was then his stomach began to growl. He glanced down at the tray of food, his eyes lingering on it for a moment. Kyle didn't notice it but his newly changed ears which had now begun to grow a thin layer of bright orange fur perked up slightly at the sight of something edible."I guess it could be worse though. They could be starving us!" Kyle had taken the tray, and begun to eat, he grimaced slightly at the taste. It wasn't the best thing in the world, and couldn't compare to the sorts of meals he enjoyed back at the mansion, though by this point he was just glad to get something into his stomach.

When he was done eating his thoughts turned back towards his Pokemon, his team, his friends. If he was stuck here in a cage, what kind of gruesome fate had befallen them? He looked back out towards the bars, trying to avoid looking at the walls of his cell entirely. " So what do you guys think they did with our Pokemon? I hope they're all right, I don't know what I would do if something actually happened to them." It wasn't an exactly pleasant question, but it was one that persisted in his mind. He wanted to keep people talking, the thought of there being complete silence beyond this unbearably small cage was the only thing that could make this whole situation even worse. As he stood there looking out through the door, the pain at the base of his spine began to intensify slightly, causing a slight cringe to cross his face. He wasn't exactly sure what that was but he was hoping it would go away soon.

Helena Rosecraft

Helena blinked at the other boy through the bottom of her window. Honestly, sometime she hated being short. Somehow this angle made something look very off about his ears...

"I suppose this is true," she returned with a small smile. Kyle's optimism did brighten things up, even from a cell away. [color=gray]"Even if the food may not be of the utmost quality, starving to death is not my preferred end. The idea of a body cannibalizing itself is a bit disturbing."[/gray]

However, when Kyle brought up their Pokemon, Helena froze a moment in mid breath with the horror of an unknown fate befalling her only friend. Panic rose up in her chest like when she was expecting a confrontation with her mother. Her muscles clammed up, her hands clenching and her throat tightening until she could barely wheeze in a breath. She would be grateful if it was only a Donphan sitting on her chest, and it took all her will power not to just let herself shrink into a tight ball. Chatot meant everything to her, he was her ray of light in trying times. In fact, she was surprised at herself for not panicking over her own situation thus far, perhaps because a true cage was much less troubling than the idea of her mothers reaction once she went missing.

Unable to speak, Helena moved away from the door again, trying to quietly calm down, hide her fear. She had to look brave and strong, if she was weak people would just walk on her. This thought didn't help her much at all though, just leaving her feeling even worse about herself. She continued to back up into the far wall and ended up curled up tight, sitting on the floor. The crunched form didn't help her breathing, but it felt safer.

There was the sound of the iron door opening though, and hearing people step into the room made her shaking worse, turning her to a shaking, pathetic little ball of messy blonde hair and her sky blue dress.

"Hold on," she heard someone say. Some of the people in the room stopped moving, but she didn't dare relax a muscle. A cold hand touched her wrist, making her jump and give a loud shriek, trying to shrink away. However, she had no where to go, and three finger held tight to her wrist. It took her a moment to realize someone was reading her pulse. "This one's heart rate is too high, it's too tense. We'll have to wait a little while." Her wrist was released, and she quickly retracted it back to safety. There was more rustling, and suddenly she felt something prick her upper arm and quickly inject something, the same cold finger rubbing it in for a few long seconds, before finally taking whoever was with them and leaving her be.

Gradually, she felt her muscles relax, her throat opened up and her heart slowed down to normal oddly quickly. In fact, she felt almost too relaxed, her limbs loose and not willing to move much at all. The muscle relaxants worked quite well, her heart rate slowed enough to make breathing deepen and slow, tempting her to fall asleep. From her spot on the floor, she knew it was only time before they came back for her.

Alexander Ashfist

Alexander awoke some time latter, the time he had been asleep had been unknown to him. His eyes where red from crying and his entire body felt like it had been beaten. Alex figured that it did not matter how long he had been asleep for it was not enough. He looked at his hands to see that the transformation was from what he could tell, mostly complete. The skin had grown around his new claws so they where connected to him in a way that looked like they had grown naturally. The claws themselves where not very long they had manly taken the place of the first joint of the finger and grown a little past that.

Alexander smiled as he saw this, and a single tear rolled down his face. "Might be a freak but these could be useful" He spoke to himself knowing that he had to tell himself positive things to keep himself from falling into a depression which he could not afford to do in this situation. "Well it could be worse, could have lost my arms completely, or had my eyes gouged out". He joked to himself.

After he talked himself into calming down he looked around his cell to find that there was a set of clothing. looking down he and saw that he was half naked and the other half was covered in blood. Most if it his. "Guess I should change".
as he sadly took off the remainder of his old clothing and began to dress himself in the plan clothing that was probably presented to everyone. He felt a bit of sadness knowing that was the last thing he had from before he was captured was nothing more then scraps of cloth.

There was a plat of food. Alexander was not very hungry surprisingly. The food was balanced in terms of food groups. "Want us nice and fed eh". There was smashed potatoes, cut strips of chicken with no seasoning so no surprises there, A verity of diced veggies and a scone. He begin to eat the food, knowing he would be needing his strength. his body tried to reject the food and made it so he almost vomited twice. After getting down all he could the scone was left over. For the first time seance he awoke he noticed that a lot of the noise had died down, many must have been asleep or possible dead form there injections.

He got up and walked over to the door for his cell and looked out. Most of the scientist had left, only a few stragglers came in every now and then. He looked around the room and deiced to see if he could make a friend. "Hey guys" He spoke to no one person. " I am back, are any of you hungry I have a scone here and I cant eat anymore." He tried to keep his voice calm and level but he could not help a very slight groin as he held out the scone to toss it to someone.

Mat

To sleep. To dream. No steel nor man can keep the mind from escaping the confines of reality, however short it may last. In dreams we are all free.

But what of the flesh?

Mat slowly stirred to the sounds of the jail cells nearby. From the piercing screams to the banging of flesh on metal it was hard to shut out this constant stream of noise once the drugs were finally cycled out of his system. While he was not terribly dynamic when waking up he was especially slow to even rise to a sit given how he was just coming out of a drug induced nap. He reached and rubbed his back, feeling sore to the bone. Ow, that operation really did a number on me. I'm still feeling that drill doing it's dance in my skeleton.

Waving the pain off as a simple after-affect of having his spine drilled into he tried to stand up. He yawned deeply as he wearily rose to his feet. As he made his plodding way over the pain in his back slowly and steadily subsided. A pleasant turn in what was overall a pretty unpleasant day.

"I'd say we could still get out of here, but I don't think that would be a good idea at this point... At least we get free food."

"Free food sounds pretty good right now." He answered back to Desiree. Having stepped up to the window of his door now in the neighboring block where the subjects were kept post operation he leaned on the sill and scanned across the cells in the wall opposite from him, looking at the others kept here besides himself. With a somewhat clear view of his face others could see a change which was already underway which he was not exactly aware of.

His left eye had grown a bit larger while the right eye had shrunk somewhat. There was a definite disparity between the eyes which completely threw off the symmetry of his face. He had yet to discover this change as there was little physical difference to be felt and he couldn't see himself without a mirror.

He still had that rather casual friendly smile of his even despite what he's seen and endured. He tended not to really focus on negative matters, at least not when he had company. "I hope your pokemon are okay too. I'd be heart broken if they hurt my pal as well." He responded to Kyle's question, though not technically answering the question itself. While he knew little of the guy he could empathize with the feeling of missing one's pokemon. Rare were the times he and his long time companion were ever separated.

Something was running down his lip. He felt it trickle onto and down his arm. Looking down to investigate what was coming from his mouth he was met with a grave sight. Blood, a continuous flow was pouring from his mouth. His eyes widened at the sudden realization that there was something seriously wrong. He felt a strange and foreign sensation as his body felt tight, the blood within rising to find a way out.

Little did Mat know the mechanical cells were making space for themselves, not content with sharing room with his blood. With what felt like a pushing motion ripping through his body blood began to pour from his mouth, nose and ears. This all was punctuated with violent surges of pain in both his arms and legs, extending all the way up to the shoulders and hips. Unable to stand through the pain he vanished from view of the window, collapsing to the base of the door.

This spectacle was quite frightening to Mat. What few thoughts he could make out through the pain of it were ones of fear regarding just how bad it is to be losing this much blood. The blood that was flowing freely from his orifices was forming a pool which was expanding past the thin space beneath the door. He could of very well died as far as anyone outside would know given the amount of blood which was seeping from his cell into the hall.

With what little strength remained he propped his back against the door so his head could remain facing down. He feared that if he were to lay down either face up or down he'd wind up drowning in his own blood. As it was he couldn't even breath while the bright red fluid was being shoved out of his body. He could only hold his breath for up to a couple minutes tops and he hadn't had the foresight to take a deep breath before this sudden change occurred. All he could do was choke out more blood, the whole front of his body now completely soaked with it.

Dang. What a way to die.

His thoughts weren't rich with optimism as he started to asphyxiate. He was starting to lose consciousness, his eyes beginning to drift up. Just as the black curtains of unconsciousness were about to draw closed there was a distant choked gurgling sound. The blood was starting to let up, his lungs reflexively taking the opportunity to greedily suck in air at any cost. His whole body seized and shook as he coughed and gasped as he kept trying to draw breath while simultaneously forced to purge the blood that was getting caught up in the pull.

After what seemed like hours but in reality was little more than a couple minutes or so the blood had lessened down into a trickle. The cells inside him seemed pacified with this result, only occasionally moving again should blood get in where it's not wanted. From a river to a stream to a trickle to occasional spurts he was starting to pass this gruesome modification that his body was undergo. More than ever he wished they had saved more of that anesthetic for him as he was in severe pain.

His whole throat was rough and sore from the ordeal. The ends of his limbs were starting to feel numb. He wasn't sure if he could stand if he wanted to right now. He focused his efforts instead on calming his breathing, attempting to relax his body and get it back into a natural rhythm again.

"I am back, are any of you hungry I have a scone here and I cant eat anymore."

He heard Alexander offering his food over from his cell. Mat chuckled slightly before stopping quite fast as his chest panged with pain when he laughed. As hurt as he was there was little more he could do but wear a miserable frown. I don't think I've got much of an appetite considering how hard it's been just keeping blood down. Pathetic. He indulged in some self deprecation, in thought only of course as he had no intention of speaking given the condition his throat felt like it was in.

Such was life in his new prison.

WALTER

Liquid fire, liquid fire, it burns me inside and out.

i breathe, but i can’t feel. i hear but i can’t think

“…could still… out of here but I… would be… this point... east we… food.”

drums… drums… food... need food... but the liquid fire… it won’t stop…

why didn’t the laughing stop, when the very walls weep around me?

the walls weep, and in their tears, i see things, they show… green fields… rivers… hope.

we must get out of here

i need this hope. the burning won’t stop.

Heavy gasses lingered around the pile of purpling sand. Evaporation continued. The gas was odourless, but poisonous. A lab technician quickly, yet nonchalantly covered the padded cell window with some sort of membrane. The lighter gasses neared the window, but did not pass through to the other cells.

“Genetic reaction faster than simulations,” the technician made a note in a small recorder as he stepped calmly back down the corridors. “Though very good news, P. Walter almost contaminated other subject cells. Membrane has been applied, but a more suitable cell is recommended.”

MARA

Mara slowly, but surely pushed herself to her feet. Her head felt incredibly heavy, as it was the source of the hundreds of tendrils that curled around her. The tendrils even helped her up by pressing against the floor. These horrible vines… helping? Mara couldn’t even stomach the idea. These were the type of vines that contracted diseases, and choked the life out of all other things. It was a damned weed, seeping the strength of others.

There was no way she could tolerate these horrible things- a similar species to one that had nearly-

Footsteps rang in the corridor… incoming footsteps. Mara’s brain clicked, and she suddenly became unusually tolerant of the horrible vines. Pushing her arm out, Mara willed a goal into the centre of her thought process. Several vines shot out through the small openings between the bars of the tiny window.

“What the-“ the technician spat before he found his neck being squeezed by a set of vines- as many vines that could fit through. Mara felt the figure being pushed against the opposite wall, and subsequently lifted an inch higher.

Yes! Mara grinned. This technician had to have some sort of key, or at the very least, she could lure a guard along to take their key with her vines. It was a perfect pla-

Mara shrieked in agony as a burning sensation flooded the vines. Being fresh, the vines were incredibly sensitive- especially to the fire provided by the lab technician’s lighter.

The lab technician, in a desperate bid for survival, grabbed his lighter and lit it up under the vines at the window. Two of the tendrils even caught fire. Immediately, all of the tendrils shot back inside to put out the tiny, yet deadly flames, and also protect the rest of their body… or host… The technician knelt down to catch his breath.

“Fuck me sideways, that was close,” the technician gasped for breath as he quickly worked up the strength to get the hell away from the padded cells. He glanced at the lighter that saved him, “Damn, It’s a good thing I smoke,” he muttered hoarsely to the recorder with a pained chuckle. “Subject J. Mara: Transformation grants her abilities- Extremely dangerous to friends and co-workers. Must relocate to a more suitable cell ASAP. Until then, avoid Subject J. Mara.

The technician rushed off- now with almost an emergency to report. Mara, on the other hand, was putting her arms over her face as the vines whipped, spun, twirled, and slashed rapidly. The vines slapped and slashed at the cushioning of the padded cell walls in an attempt to get rid of the small fire that had since grown into a not-so-small fire.

It was hardly a fire Mara herself couldn’t handle, given her Ranger training, but she was not herself. She was utterly paralyzed at the sight of the vines slashing everywhere, with a mind of their own. They did not harm her, but they did not stop flailing.

The process ended, leaving Michaela thankfully unconscious and bound. The 'doctor' told the two guards to transport her to the next block for observation, and they did so without a word, releasing her from her binds and lifting her into a wheelchair. As they passed back through the first holding block, long black hairs began to fall from Mika's head, littering the floor in a fine trail. In her dream, she glimpsed visions of her mother, and happier days with her, and with her party of Pokemon.

I wish I could go back in time... I wish I could change everything... I wish I could have saved you, Mom...

Eventually they passed into the next block, releasing a thick steel door with four individual locks and a grated window on it. Moving through this new corridor, there was a strange atmosphere, but Mika did not feel it, lost in a world so very far away from this dire reality she now found herself in, but her time there was coming to an end.

Mom... can you hear me? I'm sorry I ran away. I... I wanted to make you proud. Please keep Houndour safe, wherever he is.

They stopped about halfway down the block, and one guard opened the door to a new cell, before wheeling Mika inside. They lifted Mika out of the chair and rested her down upon a rather uncomfortable looking bed, before wheeling the chair out and locking the door, leaving her to the last embers of her fading dream.

Mom... this isn't how I want to die... but if I must, I know that I will see you again soon.

Kyle couldn't help but smile when he saw that his optimism, actually seemed to make Helana feel better. He was more than glad that in such a dim situation he was able to provide someone with a sense of joy, no matter how fleeting or small it might have been. However she quickly went silent once he mentioned their Pokemon. He was about to say something, apologize for anything he might have said until he saw a group of people enter her cell. He growled at them, and from the sounds of things they didn't do much to her. That did little however to ease his worries.

From further down the hall he could hear Matt unusually clearly, in fact he could hear much of what was going on through the halls clearly. There seemed to be some kind of commotion going on further down between one of the workers, and one of the prisoners. Matt expressed hope that their Pokemon were alright, a sentiment Kyle wholeheartedly shared. he got to thinking about his team about his old friend Ninetails, and all the other Pokemon he had caught over the past two years. For a brief moment he had visions of his team in horrible conditions, of his friends being horribly abused for someone's sick amusement. He quickly pushed that from his mind however. He was certain that they were simply being stored in some room while being safely in their Pokeballs.

From further down the hall he heard Alexander announce his return, and offering a scone to anyone that would accept it. Kyle of course would have taken up the offer as he was still quiet hungry, though his cell was located farther away so Kyle simply didn't say anything. He opened up his mouth to say something, but he stopped as the pain in his spine intensified beyond belief.

Kyle let out painful yelp as he felt immense pressure emerge from the base of his spine. A tail covered in thick looking white fur had started to form, it looked small at the moment though it slowly continued to grow, tearing through his pants. Kyle slowly stared at it in a mixture of fear, and amazement. Examining it closely it seemed to be reminiscent of a Growlithe's tail. Is that what they did to him, turn him into some kind of Growlithe hybrid? Kyle had tried to think about this positively, he mentally began to tell himself that it wasn't so bad, that it could be worse. The whole time however his thoughts turned to his parents, and what they would say. He imagined the both of them peering over Kyle with their cold, judgmental eyes, looking down at their freak of a child. If he was an embarrassment to them before what would they think of him now? In a rather unchateristic rage he sent a fist flying towards his cell door. To his surprise his clenched fist was suddenly engulfed in flames. Though it did little to damage the door only managing to put a pathetically small scorch mark on the door."No, no, no, no! How the hell could they do this to us?" The optimism that was clear in his voice before soon gave way to a shaky distressed tone.

Helena Rosecraft

Helena remained quiet inside her cell, her breathing so faint one might almost mistake her for dead if not for the slow blinking of her eyes. She could hear what was going on outside, she could hear Kyle shouting something, as well as a few other people down the hall causing commotion. Yet she could not summon the energy to do more than feebly lift her fingers from where her hands laid on her lap. Her hair fell messily in front of her face and obscured most of her vision, though there wasn't much to see in the white room.

Some unknown amount of time passed, it's meaning lost in her overly lax state. Eventually though, they came back for her. It didn't take any more than a single guard to fetch her. The small girl couldn't have resisted much before, but now she was nothing more than an over sized rag doll, hanging loosely from the arms of the man. She could see briefly into Kyle's cell as she was carried away, and her tired eyes attempted to convey sympathy through the dull throb of fear still pounding at the back of her mind. The action was likely meaningless anyway.

When she was set down again, she was in some kind of laboratory setting, laying on a cold metal table and looking up at a bright light. An elderly gentleman leaned over her, from what she could make out likely in his late fifties or early sixties. He wore a white lab coat over a rather nice suit, reminding her of a father straight off a television show. However, he looked at her as if she was nothing more than a piece of meat, or a rotting berry left too long on the counter. Without a word, he shown a light in her eyes, then proceeded to put it away and pull out a needle and small test-tube like vial. Wiping her inner arm with a cold alcohol wipe, he proceeded to slide the sharp metal into the vein and withdraw enough blood to fill the tube before wiping the spot off again and pressing some sort of small bandage to it.

Her head rolled to the side and she watched him walk over to a counter with the sample, next to a large computer system where a younger looking lab tech was typing away. There was the whirring sound of various machines, and more time passed by without much excitement. Finally, the older man stopped and looked up at the computer silently. There was a moment of silence, and then the technician finally spoke.

"Professor this reading can't be right..." he muttered. "These are the highest compatibility levels we've seen yet but the likelihood for death... its not mathematically-"

"I understand. Consider this a new venture in our studies. I will proceed with the process, but keep it under close watch." The professor started to walk off.

"And if it starts to fail?" the tech asked after him.

"Let it happen, but leave the body until I can come to examine it."

Helena wanted to speak, better yet to scream, but her mouth simply cracked open weakly and noiselessly. She wanted to get up and run away, but she could barely even wiggle her toes. I don't want to die yet... I don't want to die here... I need Chatot...

It wasn't long before the professor returned with a large syringe filled with strange fluid with small, odd little lumps in the liquid. The needle on it was the kind that you see in nightmares and horror films, likely almost half a foot in length. The tech came over and gently lifted up her torso to a sitting position, and the professor disappeared behind her. That pinpoint, cold pain came from the back of her neck though, at the base of her skull. She could feel the pressure in her head as the contents were released, not exactly helping the slight headache she already had. It was done quickly though, and she felt wound disinfected again and that little bandage placed back on it.

Finished, the guard returned now and lifted her once more, though now her body seemed to shiver. Behind them, however, she heard the light and quick footsteps of the technician following after them. When they reached her padded cell, she was gently placed on the floor, and given some kind of shot in the upper arm. Quickly her energy seem to return, only making the shivering worse and causing her to sit up and scoot away to the far side of the cell. The tech looked on with something that might have been pity in his eyes. He spoke something quietly to the guard as he stepped out of the cell, and a short time after that he reentered the cell with food and an offering of a warm looking, black sweatshirt likely a bit too big for her.

Helena stared at the items, hugging her knees and debating what to do. Carefully, like a small, frightened animal, she crept over and picked up the sweatshirt, pulling it on and hugging it for a little bit of comfort. The food went untouched though.

{OOC: Helena's transformation process to come soon. It'll be pretty quick but likely pretty gory and rather disturbing, so be prepared and it likely won't be a good idea to read right after eating}

Helena Rosecraft

Helena huddled against the wall, shaking and tightly curled in her ball. There was a slow growing pain in her arms and hands, not quite the usual soreness from her stiff muscles. The same kind of pain was growing in her face, not just her forehead or temples or even sinuses but all around her cheeks, chin, nose, and eyes. Even her lips started to feel stiff and painful.

The pain grew, and as she stared at her arms she started to watch as her hands swelled abnormally, the bones within making loud cracking noises, a feeling like they were being crushed enough to summon a sob that swelled to gasping shouts of pain and hysteria. Her hands continued to bubble and swell, uneven and grotesque. One of the bubbles on the back of her hand burst suddenly into blood and some kind of black puss, spraying the fluids on her face and the floor around. Yet the wound continued to bubble and grow, like she was boiling from the inside. Her hands dropped from their grip on her legs now, now mostly swollen to the size of cantaloupes and still bubbling and growing with intense pain and spreading now up her arms. Skin on her fingers and palms was pealing off like burning paper to reveal black, burnt looking insides and more boiling blood.

Her face was becoming just as painful, the feeling of stiffness growing with it. Although she continued to cry, her lips seemed to stick together, eventually seeking entirely. Although the sense of touch on the surface was fading, she could barely make out the feeling of hot tears and musus pouring out of her eyes and nose, and it seemed as if even her ears were bleeding and running down her face. When a bright drop of red fell from her face to the floor though, she realized that the tears and snot had turned to blood, the warm liquid was trickling from every black it could escape, even her sealed mouth. Shakily lifting her hands, now more black puss and blood than anything else and easily the size of a couple of volleyballs, she gently touched them to her face and pulled them away to see a massive amount of blood there, almost outlining her face.

She suddenly became aware of the pain in her legs when she tried to press herself further against the wall, finding them fused together at the ankles and knee caps, not bubbling like her hands but the skin still cracking and spilling blood and a bit of the unnatural puss. Everything in her wanted to scream, everything felt on fire, like she was burning alive. Her golden hair was falling from her head in huge wet clumps as the blood and puss bubbled up from beneath it. Her sealed lips would not move though, and only more blood seemed to flow out from them.

Her hands grew and grew with her lower arms until they were far bigger than even her own head. Her legs fused together and the blood and puss flowed from where her shoes stopped them from continuing. Suddenly, she felt as if something was pealing away from her face, but at the same time like someone was skinming it off of her. Her lips pealed free and opened at last to let out a screech that was hardly even human, gurgling and continuous as if she didn't even require air to make it. Onto her own lap her own face fell, hardened into mask. Blood poured from where it had been, now just a bloody pulp of muscle and cartalige, it even took with it her eye lids and the outer, white and blue slice off her eyes. Her lips were completely gone, leaving her white teeth bared in a bloody smile.

There was more giggling as blood finally cut off the screaming, and finally, the body slumped over into the pool of dark red fluid, the mask sliding away about a foot. Without enough blood remaining in her body, her heart came to a slow halt, and her body shuddered the last life from her.

Outside the door, the young tech shakily radioed to the professor the news. With his back turned, he failed to notice the body turning completely black, like a new skin was sliding evenly across it. The clothes below her waist seemed to fall away like dust, but the sweatshirt above seemed to smooth out and join with her body, the loose hood becoming the only tell tale sign of it but for the smooth covering on her chest. The eye lids returned, for a moment almost making it appear as if she was sleeping on the floor... Until the completely blood red eyes snapped open.

By the time the technician turned back around, the body had disappeared, but in the corner one could makeout a large shadow, floating there with its back turned.

"Wha-" he couldn't even finish the word when her head snapped around to look at this from the corner of her eye, revealing bright red streaks down the black dace like trails carved into tiny bloody tears. Although her hands hung loopy at her sides, her lower body had become a dexterous tail-like appendage, and it now held the bloody mask that had been her face. Now beyond spooked, the technician backed away, quickly calling up a new report and high tailing it away with the excuse of needing to complete his report.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

well i dont have really anywhere to go with my character, no one is interacting with him and no events are going down

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Been pretty slow around here. Anyone need help with posting or catching up with what's happening?

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Sorry it took me so long but I've finnaly posted. Hopefully I'll be able to do this quicker in the future.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Nope I'm still here. Wasn't able to post today though schools keeping me busy. Should have something up tomorrow though.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

I've got my post in. The peak of the iceburg so to speak as Mat suffers his first real changes. Also managed to communicate with a few others there to raise some sense of involvement.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

posted! was short but give me a chance to try and get more of myself out there

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

ill have a post in tonight or tomorrow

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

I just posted my self, managed to carve out some time today thankfully.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

I got in another post for Desiree~ I'll wait until Helena get's spoken most likely before I mess with her.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

While my last post was just three posts ago given the time that's past I could elaborate more on my character's situation. I was just waiting to see if there was more that my character could perhaps engage in but it seems that might not be the case.

I'll hold out for Blueshadow's post or the end of the day. Whichever comes first will be when I start writing up my next post.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Yeah sorry guys I've been on but havent been able to write anything yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get a post up by the end of the day though.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

With the exception of MC MIKEY, everyone here has been active in the last 24 hours on the site, but not here. ^^ I'm in favour of someone posting so I don't feel so bad trying to post the aftermath for my character.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

same i just made a big post and only a few people did afterwords
but i can write more if needed no problem

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Hm, I wanted to wait for some more people to reply first, but I can drive forward if no one has anything to say?

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Has everyone run out of things to write already? ^.^

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Hehheh, I love the horror aspect >:3 too bad I can't even watch horror movies without getting nightmares But wow that is weird thanks for letting us know :T

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

Hey guys - due to me not knowing how to operate the character submission thingy... my character appears twice on the tagging lists. If you are going to tag my character, please tag the one titled 'Michaela Kudrow' only. The one with the middle name 'Mika' is neither accepted in the RP or accessible to me any more, so I won't get any notifications from tagging that one.

Thanks, and sorry for any confusion!

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

This is starting to get wonderfully dark more than I or thought it would. Now I'm starting to wish that I pic a Pokemon that could involve more body horror like a Grimer or something lol.

Re: Pokemon: The Gijinka Experiment

x3 I liked it as well~ Character torture is my antidrug, so Desiree is gonna be in it for the long hall, as will Helena. And yeah, dark pokemon seem to be favorites. I mean, there's so much fun stuff to play off of (like Helena having her face turn into an actual mask <<)

Not gonna lie, I considered having a pair of characters too that would eventually have one killed off, to play off the theory that a young Kangaskhan becomes Cubone when it's mother dies.
