“Now you're just being ridiculous, Caesar.” A young woman's voice broke the quiet in the early morning air, her voice accompanied by the sound of much stomping and beating wings as the earth shook. It was none other than Unova's Elite Four member, Angelique Romain and her troupe of Dragons. Her normally creamy complexion had a deep tan, announcing that she had been spending quite an amount of time outside. She had been alternating between Caesar the Flygon and Atreyu the Dragonite on her long flight from Unova's Rainbow Valley to Pallet Town in Kanto and now, she would be there in less than five minutes. But now she rode astride a large, minty green Salamence as all of her Pokémon in her A-Team headed into town with her.

“Gon! Flygon, Fly Flygon!” The Flygon was waving its arms manically as it tried to explain that baby Pokémon were born from seeds. Caesar wasn't exactly the brightest pastel on the canvas but he was a real sweetheart and that's what Angelique appreciated about him. At the very back of her pack was a Zweilous that was fighting with itself, each head trying to bite the other. At least until a massive Dragonite landed right behind them, shaking the very ground beneath them and causing them to scamper away. Atreyu shook his head before ambling on behind everyone else.

“Alright, guys. You need some rest – I'll bring you out for lunch.” Angelique smiled, pausing to unclip her pokéballs and store her Pokémon inside, knowing that her Pokémon were tuckered out from the long journey and were aching to play. They would...after they rested! For now, she continued on in her white and green sundress, singing softly to herself the Relic Song. It had always been such a favorite of hers and her Pokémon adored it as well – Especially Aria. She smiled widely as the sun began to rise to her left, causing her eyes to light up more. In her arms was an egg case meant for five. There was a Bagon egg – That was hers, a Togepi egg, a Tepig egg, a Lapras egg, and a Riolu egg. They were all eggs that Pokémon from her Daycare/Sanctuary had and Professor Oak meant to study them.

Angelique thought this to be a delicate mission and had put herself to the task of delivering them to him herself rather than use of a PC. Plus, she had missed the old man and their talks of Pokémon. He was quite insightful, though sometimes a bit forgetful. He had been a big influence on her when she was a child and aiming to become number one in Unova. While she didn't challenge the Champion position, she still had never lost a battle in her life – Much to the dismay of many challengers. The current Champion of Unova was one of her closest friends and she did all that she could to protect his position and her own record.

A few more minutes brought Pallet Town on the horizon and she began to run. She didn't notice a red beam coming from one of her pokéballs, so you could imagine her surprise when she was picked up by the strong claws of her Atreyu. The Dragonite smiled as he flew into the rural town and over the small houses. Angelique gripped onto her egg case tightly, using every ounce of her strength not to drop it as they came closer and closer to Professor Oak's lab. Her hair whipped viciously in the wind and her eyes began to sting and water until she closed them with a laugh. Atreyu let out a massive roar as his intimidating shadow caused people to look up in awe and wonder.

They landed right outside the front doors – And while Atreyu was perfectly balanced, Angelique had to take a few moments to steady herself. Her hair was a royal mess and her dress? Oh, dear Arceus, she did not look presentable in any way, shape, or fashion. She set down her eggs so that she could gussy up at least a little, adjusting her belt and backpack, smoothing down her hair and dress. Just as she finished, the door swung open and she was greeted by none other than Samuel Oak himself. “Oh, my! My, how you've both grown. But...Just exactly how big is Atreyu now?” Angelique might as well have been invisible as the Professor moved to the Dragonite, immediately measuring and taking notes.

“He's twelve feet. He weighs eight hundred and thirty-” She was cut off as Oak moved to her quickly and gave her a rather tight hug. “Oh, I've already measured him. But you! How's that record? Still untarnished, I hope!” Angelique smiled and returned the man's hug. “Perfect record. Oh – And here are those eggs. Minus the Bagon...But you can keep the case if you've got an extra single case.”

Samuel nodded fervently. “Indeed!” He picked up the large case and motioned for Angelique to follow. She smiled again and returned Atreyu to his pokéball after thanking him for the ride, heading inside after the old man, just catching the end of his sentence. “-and I have someone visiting today. Another trainer that you might know!” Angelique tilted her head some and furrowed her brow. “Oh...Who?”

Kanto was home to the woman who sat inside of Professor Oak's laboratory. While born in Saffron City, she had become familiar with Pallet Town many years ago when she visited Professor Oak at the end of her Pokémon journey in Kanto. It took a little time, but the professor and skilled trainer would eventually become friends and keep in touch now and then. He would always ask to observe her Pokémon and their growth and the majority of them would let her, save for Adam and Maggie. In return she was offered a place to stay while she was in the Kanto region and any commodities she was in need of. It wasn't exactly home, but it was close.

She was in Kanto to visit her parents as she often did when she had time. She wanted to make sure that her sister wasn't causing too much trouble, and to make sure that they knew that their less-troublesome daughter still cared. It turned out that something, some trainer, had caused Sabrina to change from the evil girl she once was... But Victoria refused to see her. She refused to acknowledge her sister as long as she could avoid it. The mere thought of being near that girl would send shivers up and down her spine and a sense of anger would well up within her. Luckily at this moment, she cared not about her sister. Her thoughts were in her parent's safety and happiness, the book in her hands, and the Kecleon cuddled into her chest as it slept.

One thing she enjoyed about Professor Oak is that he always had something to read, be it a work of fiction or a book on Pokémon. Currently she was reading a tale of an armored man and his Charizard in ancient times who traveled around the Johto region in its earliest days and performed knightly duties, helping others. It was more of a kid's book than anything else, but it passed the time and was kind of cute. The reason why she sat in Oak's laboratory rather than being out with her book was something to look forward to, something worth waiting for.

He had mentioned that there was a woman coming to visit him. A rather famous Pokémon Breeder, one who shared a title with Victoria herself as an Elite Four of the Unova region. Victoria had never acquainted herself too well with the other three members and decided that since they were both in Kanto and heading to Professor Oak's lab that she may as well try and at least introduce herself. She had no faith that they would get along, as she rarely did with other humans, but nothing ventured was nothing gained at all.

She had reached the end of the chapter when she heard the door open and the voices of two others entering the lab. Marking her page with a torn piece of loose scrap paper, she closed the book and dropped it with care onto the table beside her. Nudging the groggy Kecleon to wake up, she would hold him against her chest like a child as she stood up and made her way to the front door. The little reptilian Pokémon would make a soft noise before nuzzling back into his pillows and let himself be carried away. The two voices sounded again, one of Oak letting her know that he had company visiting, and the other a female voice asking who it was. "That... would be me." A dark-sounding, feminine voice would reply from around the corner before stepping out.

It was pretty obvious that she did not dress like most normal people. A translucent black fabric, like silk to the touch, covers her from shoulder to toe, only exposing her chest and her hands, save for a triangle shape on the back of her hand. A dark solid black leather covered her breasts and underwear region with a gold-trimmed belt. She wore a cape with the outer side colored navy blue and the inner side a lighter shade of purple, almost lilac. The entire cape was accented and lined with gold trim as well. Gold was an obvious presence in her outfit as well. The circlet in her hair, the adornment around her neck, the accent on the leather, the bangles around her wrist, the rings around each of her middle fingers, the rings around her lower thighs and even her shoes were all gold in color. Her black nails would show themselves on her pale face as her right hand raised to her mouth and index finger rested itself horizontally between her lips for a moment as Victoria took in the sight of the girl before her.

She looked like a housewife, almost. With the apron and cute face, Victoria would have mistaken her for such if she weren't such a famous and world-renowned breeder. Her lips would curl ever so slightly into a smile that, given her attire, posture and baggy eyes, could come off as creepy. Her hand dropped from her mouth and returned to the Kecleon to properly support him. Welcoming the touch, he nuzzled his face in her chest once more. "Greetings. I am Victoria Natsume of the Unova Elite Four. It's nice to finally meet you."

Angelique was right behind Professor Oak as he headed for the door, wondering who he had there. She knew a lot of people so she could only make a wild guess. She immediately went over the list of possible interns or other Professors that could be there. The green-haired young woman was surprised when another female breached the doorway. She recognized her in an instant and smiled. She didn't know her personally but they were in the same League, defending every year against trainers who wanted to call themselves Champions. Anyone who made it past Victoria would pursue on until they finally met with Angelique. Suffice to say, nobody has gotten anywhere near challenging Alder in six years.

Angelique never lost.

She canted her head to the side, Atreyu mimicking her as they observed Victoria with cheery smiles. She's very beautiful... Those clothes... Angelique's tanned cheeks touched red with blush before Atreyu muttered something about Victoria feeling weird only for Angel to jab him with her elbow. “That's not very nice,” she hissed under her breath at him. The Dragonite pouted softly, assuring his human companion that he meant his words in a good way. Angel rolled her eyes before realizing that she had probably come off as rude. Raised with a somewhat traditional family, she bowed deeply at the waist to Victoria. “I didn't mean to stare! It's very nice to finally meet you, too!”

She rose from her bow and approached Victoria, extending a small hand. “Angelique Romain.” Unlike the woman before her, she didn't offer any of her occupational titles. There were so many and, at the risk of seeming presumptuous, she generally assumed that most people knew her by name or face in one way or another.

Red beams of light issued from the small pokéballs on her belt as her Pokémon let themselves out. They were sure that they'd arrived in Pallet Town by now and were itching to eat and play and explore. Ashdir and Chomped in particular seemed to get a kick out of scaring people. The Dragon Tamer blushed further as her gaggle of companions burst forth in a chorus of playful complaining. Aria lighted on her shoulder, her quarter note hands resting on her hips. She leaned in closer to Angelique, quietly questioning the identity of their present company. “Oh, everyone. This is Victoria Natsume. She's an Elite Four Member for Unova too!”

The dragons greeted the Psychic with a chorus of hellos that school the air. To most, it simply sounded like a bunch of frightening roars. However, Angel heard it all differently. They greeted her and sent a flurry of questions her way, wondering what kind of Pokémon she used, how long she had been a trainer, where she was from, among many things. Chomper and Ashdir, as smooth as they could, posed and asked simultaneously if she was single in a playful manner. They often said or asked outrageous things of other humans because they simply assumed that they would not be understood. Like always, Angelique stifled a giggle, pulling her hand back to rest over her mouth.

"Angelique Romain. A name famous in the Pokémon world. Undefeated trainer and, should memory serve, a 'prodigy' breeder. How pleasant to make your acquaintance." The stares from her and her Dragonite were unsettling, as if she were some idol or strange new color they had never seen before. At least that is how she saw their gazes. Hearing her Dragonite's comment about Angelique, her face remained stoic as if she did not hear it. She simply kept the thought at bay, figuring that the possibility of such a thing being close to zero percent. At the sight of Angelique's bow, Victoria took a step back, raising a dismissive hand. "No. Really. It's... fine. I get stares all the time. It's nothing I am not used to."

Supporting the Kecleon up with one hand, the other would reach and take Angelique's with one quick, light shake before returning to the Pokémon. He was stirring now with the sounds of other Pokémon and people alike. Turning his groggy head, his blank gaze would meet Angelique, look her over, then go to the Dragonite. Raising a little green, clawed hand he would greet them with a simple hello before returning to rest his head on Victoria's bosom. "This here is my friend, Ginta. He says hello." She was unsure if the rumors about Angelique being able to hear Pokémon were true or not, so she would act as a mediator. Very few people even knew that Victoria existed, so the chances of such rumors getting around about her were unlikely. Shortly after that, all of Angelique's Pokémon began freeing themselves from their little spheres and making little complaints and jokes that Victoria found cute. Angelique was also known as a Dragon-type user, and that truly seemed to be the case. At the sight of her Pokémon, Victoria's stoic expression would change to one of mild amusement.

She stood in silence as she was barraged with question after question. What Pokémon did she carry with her? How long she had been a trainer? Where she was from? Tons of questions. But when Chomper and Ashdir asked if she was single, her face quickly showed how hard she was struggling not to laugh. Her hand quickly rose to cover her mouth as the laughter forced its way out against her will. Ginta jumped out from her arms and snickered along with her, leaning up against her legs as he did so. "Well, aren't you all the most adorable and shameless group, hm? I suppose I could answer a few questions. Let's see here, hmm..." She shifts her weight so that she is balancing mostly on her right leg as her hand cups her chin in a thoughtful manner. "I like Ghost, Dark, Bug and Poison-types best. I carry around with me my dearest friends, all Pokémon. Adam, a Gengar I've known since before I was a trainer. Irene, an Ariados. Maggie, a lovely Honchkrow. Dany, a Hydreigon. Oswald, a Jellicent. Alexander, a mighty and strong Golurk. And of course, you've all seen Ginta, the Kecleon here. Perhaps in time you will meet them all... Anyway, I am originally from Saffron City here in Kanto, but I live in Mistralton City over in Unova." Her eyes flicker quickly to Angelique before going back to the dragons that simultaneously asked that question. "And yes, I am single. I do not have a romantic partner at this current time." Her smile refused to leave her face as a touch of red entered it in the form of a blush. "Any other questions, friends?"

Her smile had a touch of cockiness to it. She enjoyed the fact that she probably caught everyone off guard with her ability to telepathically communicate with Pokémon. Nobody ever expected it. But she certainly did not earn the title of "The Whisperer" for no reason. There were many sham psychics across every region... But Victoria was a legitimate. She spoke to Pokémon as easily as one person spoke to another. It was not assumption or guesses based off feelings or past reactions. It was a real link. It was an instrument that, without, would not have led her to befriend the Pokémon that she had up to this point. It was something that she had become proud of.

The chattering and laughter of both Angelique and her Pokémon all but immediately ceased as Victoria answered each of their questions while holding back her own laughter. Their jaws nearly dropped before the baffled creatures began chattering again, this time with more questions. However, Angelique immediately began to shoo them off towards the corral. She had to literally pry the Gible and Axew from her legs. The only one she let remain was Aria, the musical Pokémon who gave an air of whimsy. Angel picked up the egg case again and smiled brighter than before.

“You understand them too? That's amazing! The only people I've met who can... Well, just me and my twin brother. Uhn, you've heard of Angelo, right?”

She said "twin" but even their fans knew that the two were about as alike as night and day. Besides family and an intense devotion to Pokémon, the two shared only their love of martial arts and the arts. Angelo was a good battler but he was no master. The moves he used were designed to dazzle a crowd, not defeat a horde. Still, they always made a good team. He was now a Contest Judge for the Wallace Cup - which he had won ten years in a row prior - and indulged in the multitude of groupies he had, both male and female. Angelique was personal with her fans and she appreciated their crushes, it was flattering, but she never got as personal with them as her brother did.

Oak called for the ladies to come indoors and Angel was quick to oblige. She excused herself past Victoria and hustled indoors with her Meloetta floating right behind her, twirling on the air as though it were a dance floor. “I know this is sudden, but I need you girls to head to Viridian Forest tomorrow. I have an intern there who says that many Pokémon are going missing and those remaining are either acting extremely hostile or hiding. They won't let anyone in or out of the forest and the Police don't know what to do. I've already volunteered you both to take care of it. You may rest at my home tonight.”

Typical Oak, signing up participants without them knowing. She handed over the eggs, not really having a problem with it. Until she remembered what lived in Viridian Forest. The thought of a Bug Pokémon creeping along her body or getting anywhere near her made her skin crawl and she gave a noticeable twitch. Still, she gave Sam a smile. She was all too happy to see what was ailing the Pokémon. Knowing that Victoria could speak to Pokémon made her believe that they were indeed the best for the job. “If Victoria is up for it, I can have my team ready to go by this evening. They just need a little rest.” In truth, it was she who needed rest. She wanted to at least eat, rest her feet, and feed her friends before they headed off into something big.

Victoria smiled at the group of Pokémon as their excitement grew when she replied, enduring the onslaught of incoming questions. Before she'd had a chance to answer any more Angelique had begun shooing them away and prying the little ones off of her legs. "Your friends are adorable." She would quietly compliment once they had mostly scurried away. The one that remained by Angelique's side was a Pokémon that Victoria was not familiar with... But it was still adorable enough to merit a smile from the dark-clad woman.

Looking up to Angelique, she would give an explanation. "I am not familiar with your brother, no. But I have had the gift to speak with Pokémon, among other things, for many years now. Probably approaching thirteen, actually... Psychic abilities run very strongly in my family so it was no surprise to me that I have them as well." Her smile was sweet and sincere, losing that touch of cockiness. "But it is nice to confirm the rumors about you being able to speak with Pokémon as well." She chuckled as the Kecleon climbed up her leg and into her arms, this time climbing to rest up around her shoulders instead. He hid his face in her jet black hair with a small little murmuring that only Victoria could hear. It caused her to grin, but nothing more was said or done on the subject.

Once Oak called them both, Angelique was quick to respond. Victoria was a bit sluggish behind Angelique, making sure that the Kecleon was secure and honestly because she just did not feel like walking. Once she had arrived behind her new acquaintance and her floating, dancing Pokémon (that Ginta seemed to be staring at), Oak began speaking. And just how like Sammy Oak it was to sign them both up for something without their consent. Needless to say that while she was willing to help the Pokémon of Viridian Forest, she was not happy about already being expected to do it. Oak had gotten her to do it without permission, and that was akin to forcing it on her. The scowl on her face was indication enough to him that she was not happy with being volunteered like this, but she would accept. "Of course, Professor. You know that I'll be wherever Pokémon need me. I'll be out of here first thing in the morning. You can count on it." Perhaps that last bit was a bit harsh, but she was really against how he went about coercing her into helping. All he had to do was ask. That was it.

Still, for the sake of sparing Angelique a rant, she stayed quiet beyond that statement. She had already planned on staying the night at the professor's and heading home to Unova the next day, but she was not in any sort of rush and was able to stay to help. Even if she was in a rush, she would have made time. And having more time to pick the mind of Angelique was certainly an appealing thought to Victoria. Looking to Angelique, she had noticed a visible twitch in the girl. With a curious eyebrow raised, Victoria just watched her react to something. She did not quite know what it was, but she certainly didn't mind staring at the other girl. If Ginta hadn't bapped the back of her head, however, she probably wouldn't have stopped staring. She offered him a smile of both apology and thanks before trying to find a way around Angelique without saying much more.

As interested as she was by Angelique she was not quite sure how to carry conversation with her beyond pleasantries and introductions. Trying to find a way around her without talking seemed easier for the time being. It was still mid-afternoon... What possible excuse could-

She cut off her own thinking pattern as she spots the book she had been reading on the table. Quickly scooting between the Breeder and the professor, she got to the table and swiped the book up. "I'm feeling kind of tired. So I'm just going to go to that room you let me use. And do some reading. Maybe nap. I don't know. Call me for dinner. And let me know if you need anything, alright?" She immediately cursed herself after saying that. It was almost like an open invitation. But she couldn't take it back like that. Looking between the two, she held the book to her chest with both hands and made her way out of the room rather quick-like.

Night was soon upon the sleepy town of Pallet. Angelique had yet to come out of the Corral, having opted to spend her day playing with the Pokémon there. All day could the sound of hers and Aria's singing be heard along with the laughter of the Pokémon. She felt at home here in the Corral – Quite literally. Not including all the work she did back home, it was exactly how her days were in Rainbow Valley. But, all days come to an end and this one was no different. As the day did wind down to night, the noise from the Corral wound down with it. The telltale smoke and glow of a camp fire could be seen among the treetops, the scent of cooked meat and vegetables wafting around the forest. But, the food was long gone and all that remained were those whom had eaten it, lying around the campfire.

Angel was among the Pokémon, curled up on Atreyu's side with Chomper and Ashdir kicking each other in their sleep on her chest, catching her in the middle. She eventually rolled over, sending them tumbling into one of Atreyu's feet. Not a single one of them woke up. But, there was a single Oddish that was awake and alert, suffering from insomnia. He sat by the fire and relaxed, talking to himself about Arceus knows what – The others said he was just crazy from lack of sleep. Could be.

His head turned at the sound of beeping that seemed to be coming from Angelique's bag. He walked (or waddled, one might say) over to the bag and blinked slowly before moving to Angelique, bumping her with his head. “Lady! Hey, lady! Wake up! Wake up! Hey, lady!” Angelique would slowly stir, feeling the leaves tickling her flesh. “Wh-?” She gave a soft “Unnh” at being woken from such a pleasant dream, looking sleepily at the Oddish that was bouncing around her belt. The beeping was coming from her MPC – She got it from her friend Morganna after getting her Snivy to evolve. She flipped open the small thing that was about one third the size of a netbook and saw an e-mail from one of the other Elite Four back in Unova.

{Heard you were in Pallet. Also heard there was some trouble around Kanto. Help check it out?}

She sighed and closed it.

She could find out what Alexander meant...tomorrow. For now, she sleepily curled up with the Oddish and passed out once more.

It wasn't until later that night, nearly dawn, when she was woken up again. This time it was by the Pokémon around her shouting out in confusion and fear. As soon as her eyes snapped open, she reached for her belt. It was reflex for her to grab her pokéballs and return her Pokémon whenever she found herself in a rather frightening and confusing situation. But, her belt was empty. There was only her PC. She blinked rapidly and looked once more. Nothing! She shot up and looked around before holding out her hands for silence. “What happened?!” She was bombarded with a number of answers that she couldn't decipher, leading her to simply shake her head furiously.

She snatched up her belt and backpack, putting them on simply as she ran through the Corral, headed for Pallet Town. She ran as fast as her legs could take her, fighting back the exhaustion as she went straight for Professor Oak's home. She found herself banging on his door, screaming out his name. “Sam! Sam! Sam! Wake up! Please!” It took a few minutes, but a light finally came on and she could hear him shuffling behind the door before opening. He took one look at her, seeing her eyes red, puffy, and damp from tears and exhaustion.

“Angelique, what's wrong? Did-”, he started, but Angelique cut him off. “My Pokémon are gone! All of them – The egg, too!” She was trembling. She didn't know what to do, really. She had always had them ever since she was a child! They were her A-Team. Yes, she had other Pokémon back in Rainbow Valley that she could have put into her PC so that she could use them now, but the point was that her Pokémon were missing. Was this what Alexander had meant by trouble in Kanto? Or had he heard about Viridian Forest's peculiar activity? Were they linked? Who would steal her Pokémon? Who actually had the resources? Well, to be truthful, simply returning them to their respective pokéball and making off with them would be relatively easy with them sleeping. But. Who? Team Rocket came to mind...But they were disbanded. Some in prison...some dead.

She was about to rip out her hair as Oak put on some slippers and a coat, leaving his house and guiding her back up to the lab so that he could check on it. He pulled out his own pokégear and was in the process of contacting Victoria even though she was right upstairs. Sleep had him acting fuddy duddy. Assuming the woman picked up her phone, Angelique listened over the sound of her own labored breathing as Samuel spoke. “Meet me at the lab. Its quite important.” The walk wasn't too far – Not even two minutes. When they got there, the door was wide open, but it didn't look like forced entry. Most likely, the lock was picked.

Oak ran ahead of Angelique, flipping on the light inside. A cry of distress came from him, causing Angel to walk just a little bit faster. Coming up behind him, she saw that many papers and devices were missing as well as all of the eggs she had delivered. There was a giant red 'R' painted on his far back wall, denoting who was responsible. Jeez – What happened to being inconspicuous?

"Ring-ring-ring! Ring-ring-ring! Phone Call! Phone Call!"

A loud groan came from the sleeping woman who had only just reached slumber. She hated sleeping, and the one time she had forced herself to do it she was awakened by her phone. Her eyes cracked open and the Kecleon beside her in the bed began stirring unhappily. He was enjoying his nap.

"Ring-ring-ring! Ring-ring-ring! Phone Call! Phone Call!"

Another annoyed groan would come from the now half-awake woman as she began cursing something under her breath. Rolling over, she swatted at the nightstand beside her until her hand met her phone and slid it angrily off the table. Looking to the front, it was Oak. Wasn't he right downstairs? Why couldn't he just come knock on her door? Then again, with the... lack of clothing she had when sleeping, it was probably for the best that she answer the phone instead. With a sigh, she flipped it open and pressed it to her ear. "Yes, professor? It's important, eh? Well, why don't you-" He had hung up before she had told him to just wait for her. The scowl on her face was incomparable to anything she had ever done before. "Whatever, Ginta. Let's go." Quickly re-dressing herself and not bothering to get her hair in order, she scooped Ginta up into her arms and headed downstairs.

It seemed that he had already left, presumably with Angelique with him. All she could think was that it really better have been an emergency, because the bags under her eyes would only make themselves more known with sleep deprivation beginning to set in. She took a step outside and felt a connection, images flashing in her mind of a rather worried-lookin Angelique and Oak rushing towards the laboratory on foot. Oak left his car, but even as much as Victoria loathed to walk, she was not about to steal his car. With a rather exhausted and annoyed sigh, she began her trek up to the lab.

What was two minutes for Oak and Angelique was more like five for the groggy psychic woman. But sooner or later she turned up at the lab. The door was open, unsurprisingly seeings how Oak said it was important. But was it an emergency? It must have been. She just realized now how startled the professor's voice sounded... What exactly happened? Her answer would come to her when she went through the open door. Before anything else the giant R would grab her eye. She had seen it before. The insignia of Team Rocket. But hadn't they disbanded years ago? She only had one brush with Team Rocket before some rookie trainer was rumored to have taken them out. She defeated them with ease, them only carrying around underleveled Zubats and things of the sort, probably illegally obtained. At the time, they were not super famous and she had no idea that it was more than just the duo that she defeated.

The rest of the lab had proven to be absolutely destroyed and ransacked. Many familiar devices and notes were missing and the eggs that Angelique brought with her appear to have been stolen. Taking a few steps inside, she did not bother to ask what happened. She closed her eyes and synchronized with the area. Everything around her turned purple as visions of the past replayed themselves. What she saw was exactly what she had thought happened. Figures coming in, stealing, vandalizing.. She got no good looks at any faces, unfortunately, but they did seem to be wearing the Rocket insignia on their clothing.

Victoria's eyes opened, the glowing red from using her psychic abilities faded away as her body seemed to relax a bit. "It seems that calling me out here was worth the time... It seems that it was Team Rocket that attacked the lab, or at least people posing as them. But they did look very convincing to me. I'm sorry, but I could not see any faces..." In moments like this, her gifts felt bothersome. All of this awesome power and yet she could not get something so simple as their faces. But what information she did provide should have helped at least a little. "I'm so sorry, professor. Had I known that this would happen, I would have stayed at the lab tonight and read. I'd have had no problem going without sleep... not that I would have gotten any anyway."

She took this moment to check her belt. All six of her Pokéballs were there. It seemed that Team Rocket did not invade her room in the brief moments that she slept. Giving an exhale of relief, she thanked Arceus that her friends were still with her. If they weren't, well... Angelique and Oak would have the wrath of an angered psychic to deal with. And that was not a force that anyone should want to deal with...

Angel's muttering was incoherent as she paced rapidly and manically to the point that she hadn't even noticed Victoria's arrival. She was plotting in her head, thinking of how fast they could have gone, how long it had been, where they were going. She got nothing. Instead of calming down for rational thoughts and action, she immediately went for the still intact PC, pulling up her own boxes. The list of Pokémon was extensive but she quickly made her choices; Emmy the Lucario, Leonard the Beartic, Astin the Glalie, Bach the Kingdra, Felix the Minccino, Pacquiao the Hitmonchan, Bautista the Machamp, and Theresa the Gothorita.

She gathered her pokèballs, ignoring Oak and brushing right past him back out into the corral to get dressed and gather her things. She had gone past sorrow and moved with blind rage now as she sifted through her backpack for a fight-appropriate outfit. She was glad that she had packed her battle outfit, grinning wickedly as she slipped her body into the revealing outfit that was more like something you'd see waitresses wear under the employ of a very perverted person. It came complete with a silver tray embellished in gold. See, she was known for her dramatic flair and kind nature. It was initially a shock to Unova trainers who made it to her. Her section of the arena had an area to it that looked much like a diner booth and she would approach the trainer and feed them and their Pokémon as well as offer them the chance to back out before they fought. She had grown accustom to wearing it in most of her battles, often refusing to battle without it.

She was given a makeshift belt by one of the Bulbasaur, offering the creature a kind smile before clipping the small pokèballs to the grassy belt. One, she released. A solemn and sleepy Lucario popped out, groaning irritatedly until it noted the harsh and sorrowful aura of her companion. Before she could inquire what happened, she was given orders. “I know you've been practicing with my father and Angelo. I have faith in you... I need you to track the malicious aura left behind by bad people. They took our family.” The tall and mute Pokémon was all too happy to take on the challenge. As Angelique slipped into her red shoes she watched Emmy gather concentration, the black appendages on the back of her head lifting. There were ripples of energy all around her but she managed to sort through to the ones that stood out the most, resonating evil. North...

Emmy's thoughts resonated in Angelique's head and they immediately both took off in the same direction, human following Pokémon. They dashed through the corral on foot, avoiding Pokémon as they moved as silently and quickly as possible. The Pokémon in the corral were already disturbed, giving them pointers on where to go. Some of their own had been kidnapped as well. Angelique suspected that Team Rocket had originally intended only to steal some of Oak's Pokémon from the corral and his research papers on them. He was an expert, after all. Angelique being there, sleeping outside... Her Pokémon in the open and passed out. It was a chance that rarely came along and any criminal bold or crazy enough wouldn't pass it by.

They'd have all kinds of hell to pay though. She was going to kick their asses, take all of the stolen Pokémon and return them to their homes, and then she was going to confiscate their Pokémon. In cases of Pokémon partnered with criminals there were generally only three ways it could go. Unfortunately, the most common was that the human and Pokémon were both working willingly in tandem. Both went to jail but were reunited after their sentences. Pokémon had special jails and prisons, cells designed to hold the strongest of any type, ever since the Pokémon Equality Act was passed. If that wasn't the case, then even more unfortunately, the Pokémon was being forced. The humans would go to prison for abuse amnd enslavement while the Pokémon were sent to a Breeder for rehabilitation. Very rare was it that a Pokémon was pulling the strings.

Whatever the case, someone was getting a petite foot shoved up their ass before the moon rose again.

Angelique was running around like a madwoman. At this point, Victoria was unaware of the fact that her Pokémon had been stolen. She simply stood and watched Angelique scurry about and mutter to herself, clearly about less-than-pleasant things. She had begun accessing the PC when Victoria asked Oak what was happening with her.

"Angelique's Pokémon were stolen while she slept, it would seem. I would imagine that she is getting some from her PC to help retrieve the ones she came here with." For once, Oak gave a decent response without annoying her.

"I see... I shall accompany her, then. I would imagine she could use some help if whoever stole her Pokémon was capable of actually doing just that." Ginta climbed up her leg and nestled itself on her chest like he normally did, raising a fist in the air and letting out a loud cry. Smiling, Victoria interpreted. "And Ginta wants to help, too. With him helping her out, there's no way we can lose. Right, Ginta?" He nods as he pumps his airborne fist, his normally-stoic expression now displaying some determination. Before she allowed Oak a response, she followed Angelique out of the lab and back down to the corral. As she had a tendency to do, she had watched Angelique. Not out of perversion... for the most part, anyway. But curiosity. Curiosity about a great many things and her beauty was one of them. And the outfit really didn't help the thoughts of the psychic stay pure.

There was a distraction as Angelique released one of the Pokémon she had obtained from the PC: one that Victoria easily recognized as a Lucario. Cynthia had one and it was one of the Pokémon that ultimately led to her loss in Sinnoh. It was definitely an impressive Pokémon and not one to be underestimated. But just as quick as it had arrived, the two took off. Kecleon pointed forward, Victoria giving a nod. Reaching to her belt, she held on to a Pokéball and reached to it with her mind. "Dany... Could I ask you for a ride? We are chasing after some villains and your help would be much appreciated. "
"For you, dear, it would be a pleasure."
"Thank you." Returning Ginta to his Pokéball with an apology, she tossed another into the air. Brilliant light flashed before leaving in its trace a Hydreigon of rather considerable size, even for its species. It rested on the ground long enough for Victoria to climb up onto its back and wrap her arms around it for security before flying off in Angelique's direction.

Rather quickly, the psychic and her Dragon had swept up quickly beside the Lucario and the Breeder. Victoria offered a rather pleasant smile, enjoying the look of the woman beside her. "Looking for a lift? Oak told me what happened. Dany will get us there faster than running on foot, you know... As a fellow Elite Four member, I'd like to help you. If you'd let me, that is." Reaching down with her left hand, she invited Angelique to take it and hop upon the mighty Hydreigon.

Determination and fear pumped adrenaline through her veins as she ran quickly behind her Lucario. They hadn't gotten too far outside the town limits of Pallet before Victoria landed nearby in front of her upon a Hydreigon. The Breeder skidded to a halt. A ride? That would definitely conserve her energy. She gave a hesitant look before taking the other woman's hand and hoisting herself up. She settled in behind the psychic, her hands resting tentatively on her hips as the silver platter slid between them. “Alright! Let's get going!” She encouraged the dragon that wasn't hers to take off as Emmy began running again. The stealthy Pokémon went faster now, as the Hydreigon behind him could keep up better than his human companion. Luckily, nobody was traveling along the route. Pallet wasn't a town often visited.

Fortunately, Viridian City was only a twenty minute flight when on the back of the right Pokémon. Emmy was just as driven to bring the criminals to justice as Angel was, her long legs pumping as fast as they could in between leaps and bounds. Unlike most Lucario, she was bigger and stronger. Angel trained and fed her Pokémon differently that resulted in her Pokémon turning out bigger, stronger, and faster than others of their kind from the moment they hatch. The Lucario crossed several feet in a matter of mere seconds as it tracked the horrific aura that lingered in an awful dark red shade. The aura permeated the air around her strongly as they drew closer to Viridian City.

They were close.

“The forest! That's where they are,” They passed through the town as quietly as they could, many people still sleeping in the wee hours of the morning -- People hadn't even gotten up for work yet. She immediately assumed that the goings on within the Forest was Team Rocket related, though she had no idea as to just what might be going on. What were they planning? More worry caused her body to tremble, delicate hands clutching tighter at Victoria's waist as her stomach turned over. With the warning from Unova... What other Syndicates were making a rise from the depths? What did they have planned?

Victoria and Dany came to a stop, allowing for Angel to take hold of the psychic's hand to get up. In that contact, Victoria felt something in Angel. A determination, perhaps an anger. Or was it fear? Those two were hard for even Victoria to differentiate sometimes. Her attempts to do so were interrupted by the feel of the breeder's hands on her hips, which caused Victoria's posture to slump a bit. This was caused by a mixture of embarassment and discomfort. She really did not enjoy being touched by anyone. And being touched there was enough to bring color to her hidden cheeks. "J.. Just go, Dany. We can't lose them... Follow the Lucario."
A chuckle from the Dragon-type could be heard by both of the elite trainers. "Hehe... As you wish, my dear. It is nice to have you with us, famous breeder."

They kept up rather nicely, though the Lucario was definitely faster. That Pokémon was built to be fast for sure. There was no way that a Hydreigon, even as well-trained as she was, could keep up with two people on her back. But it was just fine that way. If the Dragon moved faster than the tracker, things could have gotten confusing for everyone involved. In the travel, Ginta climbed off of Victoria's shoulders and over Angel, wrapping his little green arms about as far as he could around her waist in a gesture of both greeting and imitation. Before too long they had managed to get Viridian City in sight. So they were headed to civilization? "We need to hurry. They may be going after the Pokémon in the city, Angel." They made their way through the city to find nothing. She was about to begin a psychic reading on the area before her companion shouted that they were in the forest. She flinched at the volume, but Dany persisted in traveling despite her trainer's discomfort.

In near no time, they were at the forest gates. It was there that Angel's grip on Victoria's hips grew tighter, gently pulling at the silky garment and tingling the fair skin beneath it. She visibly twisted her trunk in response, tapping on Dany to tell her to land. Her own personal issues with space were beginning to drive her crazy. The Pokémon only chuckled before taking to the ground. Victoria quickly slid off of the Pokémon, face now rich with color as she grabbed Ginta and held him in her arms. "Th-ThankssomuchforyourhelpDany. Comebacknow." She spoke so fast it was like all of her words were one before recalling the amused Pokémon. With a drastic sigh of relief, she turned to face the other trainer. Though she never actually looked at her, she spoke in her direction. "Um. Right. Forest. Too big for her. So. Um. We'll walk. Walking is good." That was the exact opposite of how she earnestly felt. To her, walking was literally the worst. But with another human touching her, especially one she didn't dislike, she was uncomfortable. It was a new and confusing experience that she wanted no more of. Not until she could mentally prepare. "Oookay. Go go go." She turned back around and took the lead through the forest, just behind the Lucario of course. "Let's go get back the stolen Pokémon."

Angelique gave a light smile as the massive dragon greeted her with recognition, patting him gently before leaning a bit tighter against Victoria, only her silver platter keeping her from pressing her breasts against the other woman's back. She was, by comparison, far more comfortable than her companion with the position, holding no real trepidation. Had it been a man, she wouldn't have even take the ride, much less made physical contact. Her concentration was broken when Ginta wriggled between her and the platter, causing the right side of her mouth to twitch into a small smile. She clutched the Pokémon close to her as the flight went on until it came time to disembark.

She bade Dany a farewell as Emmy took the lead and headed towards the forest. There were gates up now, definitely something new. It was all very puzzling to her; She had literally just been here two days ago. The Pokémon had seemed fine and she certainly hadn't seen any dubious persons wandering about. She would have recognized the Team Rocket logo... Maybe they'd gotten smarter. Well, there was no maybe to it. The former organization could barely kidnap three Pokémon from a beginning trainer. Now they've managed to kidnap the eight most highly trained Dragon-Type Pokémon in the world and somehow shut down all of Viridian Forest in less than twenty-four hours.

She growled and clutched her platter close, following closely behind the Lucario that easily kicked down the wooden gate and proceeded into the forest. The Breeder had no words, saving her breath now for when she came face to face with the monsters who'd stolen her darling children. She moved with ninja-like silence as she looked around to see frightened Pokémon hiding, cowering away from them. Her stern expression broke as she made her way over to a Caterpie hiding behind a bush. “Shh, it's alright. It's alright, darling. Tell me where to find the humans who've done this.” She stroked the somewhat fuzzy creature gently, her thumbs massaging its antennae. The Caterpie chittered excitedly and she ended their conversation with a nod before reaching into her bag and producing a small baggie, offering the Pokémon a treat.

“They've built a makeshift camp in the center. They've been rounding up Pokémon for some kind of experimentation.”

At this hour, the forest was very dark and creepy. Many Pokémon were probably asleep and it created a sort of eerie quietness in the area. Victoria felt very at home here. It reminded her of when she encountered her Ariados, Irene, in Ilex forest. It brought an air of nostalgia about the psychic as she held onto the Pokéball that housed said Pokémon. It certainly helped distract from her earlier comfortable discomfort.

Speaking of that discomfort, its earlier source, Angelique, was moving quietly, quickly. The psychic could tell easily without using her ability that it was because she knew she was close to getting her beloved Pokémon back. She was ready to fight if it came down to it. And so was Victoria. In stealing from Angel, they had disgraced not only the breeder, but the Unova Elite Four as a whole. As a member of this group, Victoria was ready to take a stand as well. But she really hated having to walk to do it. Especially with the Kecleon glued to her chest like a baby to its mother. Not that she minded Ginta's presence at all, but she hated walking for one, nevermind two. In her slouched posture, it was pretty obvious that she wasn't happy to be using her legs.

Her ears perked up as Angel spoke. “They've built a makeshift camp in the center. They've been rounding up Pokémon for some kind of experimentation.” Victoria turned to see Angel giving a treat to a Caterpie. She thought that the little worm was absolutely adorable and approached the green Pokémon to give it a soft pet on the head.
"You are safe now, little cute one. Leave it to us. We will ensure that the bad men are taken down and your home is returned to safety." The little worm gave another happy chitter as Victoria stepped away from it. "Very well, Angel. We are members of the Unova Elite Four. Experimentation upon Pokémon or people is not something we can stand by and let go. Let us apprehend these filthy lawbreakers." Her voice was stern, almost spewing out venom with each word.

Reaching to her belt, she grabbed two Pokéballs and tossed them both up into the air, one flashing a bright light and the other emitting a darker beam. It became obvious that a Dusk Ball was used here as two Pokémon took shape. One was a red-and-black spider with four yellow-and-purple legs, clearly an Ariados. The other was a purple creature with red eyes and a large, white crescent of a smile. To any experienced trainer, they would easily recognize it as a Gengar. "Hello, Irene. Hello, Adam. I would like to ask for some help." The Ariados, Irene, kept a blank stare upon her trainer, but lowered her head in acknowledgment. The Gengar phased out of vision only to reappear right in front of Victoria's face, his smile somehow even bigger.
"Help? From me? Well, it's been some time, Vicky. Hehehe!" This was the Gengar's voice that Victoria and Angel would both hear.
Victoria sighed and nodded. "I was hoping you would refrain from using such a nickname around company... but yes. There is an encampment ahead, presumably with Team Rocket members. I would like you to infiltrate the camp and cause a little distraction. They are capturing Pokémon for experimentation, so it is only you I can trust with this job. Being the trickster Ghost-type that you are."
"Hohoho, you flatter me, Vicky. You know I'm the mon for the job." And without another word, the purple phantom faded from view.

With Adam gone, Victoria crouched down and placed a hand upon the Ariados's head. "Irene. I would like you to stick close to us and be ready to battle if you would offer your help to me. You are a Bug. Forests should come naturally to you. We could use your expertise and abilities. Would you lend me a skittery creepy hand?" She offered the bug a rather bizarre smile, to which the bug merely lowered its head once more. "I knew I could count on you, dear." Cupping the spider's head in both hands, she brought her lips down upon its head for a quick peck on its horn. "Now, let us get miss Angel's Pokémon back." She rose to her feet, holding Ginta securely in her arms as she faced her fellow Elite Four member. "We are ready to infiltrate, Angelique. On your orders." Just like her Ariados, she bowed her head in a sign of respect, granting her the lead on this mission. After all, it was her Pokémon that were captured. Nobody deserved the honor of leading such an assault than her.

Angelique took a step back and watched as Victoria began calling out her Pokémon for help. A light smile twitched against her lips as she viewed the creatures, fascinated by them. Dark and Ghost Pokémon were rather delightful Types, quite impish in nature. She was about to take a step forward to pet one of them when her companion called forth and nuzzled with an Ariados. Angelique immediately began backing away, a shiver going down her spine. She could feel her skin crawling at the sight of the Bug Type. She had to force down bile that rose at the back of her throat at the sight of Victoria placing her lips on the creature, suppressing a squeal. “Skittery” and “creepy” were definitely words that Angelique would use to describe the creature that Victoria called “Irene”. She edged away some more until she bumped into Emmy. The large Lucario tilted her head and looked down at her human companion, understanding the fear. She pet Angel's head gently before nodding towards a trail that headed west.

“Leonard! Astin! Felix! Pacquiao! Bautista! Theresa! C'mon out and help!” She pulled out her remaining Pokémon and tossed their capsules into the air. Light surrounded them until they took physical form, all prepped for battle. “Bach! I need you, too!” The next Pokémon was released into the small stream nearby, a Kingdra taking form. “Bach, my darling. I need you to swim ahead and spy on the camp. Team Rocket. I'm assuming that they're taking up some place near water.” Bach gave a nod and dove under the water, jetting off to see what was going on. Her other Pokémon immediately tensed, a barrage of questions being tossed at her. She held up her hands with a stern expression before bringing one hand to her hip. “Team Rocket – or some pathetic lowlifes imitating them – have taken our family. The cowards came in the night and took Atreyu, Chomper, Ashdir, Melody, Aria, Mint, Caesar, Brutus, and Judas. And we will get the back. We will destroy these monsters.” There were collective gasps of shock and pain from the Pokémon when the news was announced but their expressions of worry soon became expressions of anger and hatred.

They rallied behind the woman who had hatched and raised them, ready to go and take back their family members. She leaped onto the shoulders of Bautista. The Machamp lead the way behind Emmy, the pack of Pokémon moving with stealth. They could hear Pokémon moving about in the underbrush and trees as they walked through, not daring to attack them. However, the sound of voices could soon be heard and Angelique quickly ducked into the bushes with her Pokémon, dragging Victoria with her, making sure that she didn't touch the Ariados. She peeked out to see a camp set up with several men and women wandering around with strange devices and clipboards. Her stomach tied itself into a knot and rage made her blood boil at the sight of her Pokémon along with others knocked out and hooked up to devices while they were having blood drawn. “What're they doing...?” Her voice was a whisper as she tried to see better. She nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of a blood curdling screech that sounded like a Purrloin was being strangled. A blur burst from a nearby tent and she drew further into the cover of the foliage, gasping at the sight before her. Men and women in lab coats sent forth a small army of Electric Type Pokémon. The creature that looked like some horrible mix between a Beedrill and a little girl screeched as she was shocked, her body jerking about and tensing until she fell over.

“Did... They just kill her?” Her eyes widened as a red haired scientist stepped forth and began to run tests on the child... Pokémon... Thing. “Her body rejected the formula... Hopefully, these Dragon Types will have the secret in their DNA. Besides... It would be far better to possess the attributes of a Dragonite than a Beedrill.” The woman chuckled before motioning for some others to take the dead girl away. “We need to take them all alive. Save the Pokémon and get the injured victims to a Hospital and Pokécenter asap.” She turned to Victoria and gave a light nod. “I'm positive that we can take them by surprise but we need to be able to discern the victims from the criminals. We need your Gengar to lead as many away from the camp as possible. I'll have Bach and Felix help. Theresa can lead a small party with Bautista back to town. Can your Hydreigon carry some? After we get out the people and Pokémon that we need, we attack.”

Victoria couldn't believe her eyes. Nothing she saw happen to that little girl was anything close to humane. And as her eyes took on a purple glow, she felt every. Last. Bit of it. Though the pain was just a reflection of what that weird Pokémon girl had felt and was not actually doing harm to her body, she could experience the horrible agony of the Electric-types electrocuting her... to death. She bit down on her lip to keep her screams muffled. If they lost their cover, it would blow the whole operation. She had to endure this... In an effort to keep a sense on herself, her hands shakingly reached to the opposite arm and grabbed on as tight as she could. She hadn't even noticed the rips she was causing, exposing once-pale skin that was now dyed red with scratches. The strain of enduring this pain had even caused her to not notice that she had bit through her lip enough to bleed. She had fallen against the spider, trying to keep her body as still as possible with the spasms coming in waves. Every shock seemed to play at her nerves... and then she felt nothing.

She felt that girl die.

When she came to, she could feel the dampness of tears on her face and her Pokémon keeping her sitting upright. The fact that Angelique was still around didn't even register until she was already talking. She saw Angelique's lips moving but heard nothing as she just stared at her with wide, tear-stained eyes. Her expression was clearly shocked, mortified at not just witnessing that death, but experiencing the pain first-hand. It had been far too long since she had felt another's death. She had gotten complacent, forgotten completely the sort of misery that death inflicted. She wasn't on guard or ready for this situation. Because of this, the entire world around her was silent and seemed to move in slow motion. But that was what it meant to experience death without it occuring... Even for as gifted and brilliant a psychic as her, it had its negative sides.

Suddenly the world around her came rushing back as white blighted her vision for a flash, taking the glow away from her eyes as everything that had just happened came back to her memory. It was almost a solid minute after Angel said anything that Victoria was able to muster up a response. Wiping her face and smudging black makeup down it, which did nothing to help her deathly visage, she struggled to a standing position, Irene doing what she could to help her trainer. "I-- Er, sorry. Give me a second." With a sigh, she rested her face in her hands with a shake. She had to remove the feelings and sight she had seen from her direct attention. Angel was right. They had to save the others. "What... the hell was that?" Usually she was more eloquent in her choice of words, but this was beyond anything she could have imagined. "That girl... was also a Pokémon. She wasn't in a costume or something. She was a Pokémon. But she was also a human. And a child... just a... child..." A light prod from the Ariados's horn, accidentally making a small tear in her leggings, brought her back to. She had just gotten through telling herself that she needed to put it out of her mind for the time being.

She took a deep, long breath to clear her mind. She may have wasted more time than they had at this point... so if they failed, it was on her. At least that was how she would see it. "Everyone is willing to pitch in. Adam will be ready to help out your Pokémon in leading them away from the camp... Chances are he'd do it without my instruction anyway, that trickster. Alexander, my Golurk, will be willing to aid others in escape, as well. Ah, if only I had taught him Fly. This would be easier... Danyulla will help as well. Ginta?" The Kecleon, who had been hiding behind Irene the duration of her attack, came out and stood at attention in front of her. It gave a lazy salute as it awaited orders. "I need you to use your moves to help keep everyone protected. If a fight breaks out, Substitute to block as many attacks as you can. Make sure you Recover often as well to keep yourself going. I won't be able to give you orders, so try and stay close if you can." Turning to face the arachnid Pokémon beside her, she gently gave its horn a rub and nodded. "Your orders are the same. Stick close to us, but be prepared to incapacitate any who attack." The stoic spider dropped its head in acknowledgment.

"Very well. Now, come out, everyone." With all but one of her Pokéballs, she released each of her Pokémon. Before her now stood a Honchkrow named Maggie, Danyulla the Hydreigon from before, and Alexander the Golurk, whose coloring was clearly not typical of its species. This nine-foot tall colossus took a knee both in respect of Victoria and to hide its enormous size from view within the trees. "You all know what you must do." She gave her orders by mind. It was easier and quicker for her, in all honesty. She had to make up for the time she lost. "Follow miss Angelique's instructions if she gives them, okay?" Each of them acknowledged her in their own way and followed her with their eyes as she came up to Angel. "I'm... sorry. We will have time for explanations and introductions after we complete our job here and rescue those people. And the Pokémon as well." She was clearly still stricken from her episode a moment ago, but it was also obvious that she was trying not to let it bog her down for now. "...No more of what just happened with her. Ever again. We stop them here and now." She wiped at her eyes once more, not the prettiest of pictures with her face in the wreck it was in. "What is your plan? Are we going gung-ho, or do you have something up your sleeve? I can give Adam the orders at any moment." She was ready, however shaken she was. If even one more life was claimed while she was here, she could never forgive herself...
