Introduction
Welcome To Post Apocalyptia!
It's been five years since the third world war, All cities, and most towns are leveled by nuke, or had their population destroyed by toxins.
Many have banned together and formed alliances, some even restoring electricity to buildings by solar panels. You have been travelling alone for quite some time, you've got all you need to survive on you, and so far you haven't needed anyone else. As you travel between abandoned cars that have been stuck for years in a traffic jam, you see the city against the ocean, and your first choice comes to mind. Do you enter? or do you skirt around?
There are a few things to keep in mind, consider it a survival guide.
Green fog on ground? Most likely toxic gas, Hurts like a bitch the moment it touches your skin, prolonged exposure leads to death.
Rain coming? Get to shelter, rain storms that have pink lightning are always dangerous. The toxins have been evaporated into the atmosphere through photosynthesis, and any prolonged exposure will cause radiation poisoning, or kidney and liver failure.
Even rain without lightning can be the same. Only if the lightning looks normal will you know if the rain is safe to walk in.
Don't drink unfiltered water. If it wasn't boiled, it isn't safe. even rainwater.
Be wary of hail. The Climate is still recovering, and hail in summer is quite likely.
Finally found a firearm? Break it apart and make sure it's good inside and out, there may be a reason it was so easy to find.
Know what is safe to eat. No more sushi, raw meat can kill. Most food is past expiration date, and most cans have been scavenged and horded.
Walking in an old building? Make sure the floors are secure. Falling through would be bad.
Taking place in...

Mark nodded and pulled his hand back, sliding both of them into his pockets. "I figured so, I just got a little defensive when I heard noises in there" Mark nudged his head towards the door. "Sadly you always need to be on your toes now, its hard to tell who will wanna kill you on the spot, or who will be willing to actually talk.... or who will be trigger happy" Mark rolled his eyes.
He's had plenty encounters with trigger happy people, and has gotten in many 'fight to the deaths' with them as well.
