Lucia Jacques

"Why should I trust you?"

0 · 505 views · located in Earth

a character in “Powers”, as played by Nobody In Particular

Description

Name:
Lucia Jacques

Nicknames:
Luci, Lux

Age:
25

Power:
Electrokinesis and mild technopathy

Side effects:
She is very clever with computers and machines. Sometimes, when sheā€™s in an emotional state, her powers activate involuntarily, usually no more serious than a static shock. Very rarely, when she was under stress, she has been reported to accidentally shock someone at about the level of a Taser, and on one occasion, she killed her victim.

History:
Lucia was given up by a teenage mom who couldnā€™t possibly afford or take responsibility for an infant daughter. However, her superhuman powers were latent even when she was an infant and the lines of foster parents who tried to handle her just couldnā€™t, literally. At first they didnā€™t realize that the power outages, the electric shocks, the broken CD players, and the like they constantly experienced were due to the baby, they just decided that they were too swamped to take care of her. By the time Luci was ten, though, people started to think she was weird. The treatment she got in all her schools just for being a foster kid was multiplied a hundredfold by the innate ability of children to find someone different from them and torment them half to death. The last foster parent she had was when she was sixteenā€¦she doesnā€™t talk about him. Heā€™s the one that died. After that, Luci lived for two years trying not to let the police find out that she was alone. When she was eighteen, she got herself a job as a mechanic and saved up enough money to buy a crappy apartment and start trying to move up in the world.

Personality:
Bitingly sarcastic, aggressive Luci knows that she has to do what she has to do. She doesnā€™t like hurting people, but she will if thereā€™s no other option. Sheā€™s also very clever, though more so with machines than with people. Itā€™s tough to get to know her, because she usually assumes that whoever she meets is out to get her, but once youā€™re in her inner circle, you become a fellow victim, not an aggressor, and sheā€™ll do her best to protect you. Probably, the best way to really develop camaraderie with her is fight back, verbally if not physically. She respects people who stand up for themselves, not people who try to demean others to make themselves better.

Appearance:
Image
She has pixie-cut blonde hair that stands on end when sheā€™s charged, dark brown eyes that look almost black, and a skinny, light build. Sheā€™s fairly short, too, only 5ā€™2ā€. She doesnā€™t really care what clothes she wears, so they usually end up being tank tops and jeans, sometimes whatever she found at the thrift store. The thing she splurges the most on is make-up, especially that for the eyes.

Skills:
Repairing machines, programming computers, karate
Supernaturally speaking, she can control electricity, creating electrical fields or forming currents strong enough to paralyze or even kill humans and black out city blocks. She canā€™t do all that in one day, she gets tired and hungry after using her powers too much. To an extent, she can also use her powers to fix things like computer hardware.

Other: She usually has a slightly singed appearance, with burns especially on her palms, where she usually directs electric shock. They donā€™t really hurt, theyā€™re just about as unpleasant as pins and needles.

Answer: Pie, apparently.

So begins...

Jericho woke up as someone threw him onto the cold ground of a cell. He had a slight amount of dirt on his face, and he looked a bit pale. The cell door was closed behind him. He could see two others in his cell, both slightly different from most people he has met. Their magnetic fields, anyways. Something made them different...more like him. He sighed, managing to slide over to the wall and using it to help him up. He was still wearing handcuffs. He was also not wearing any shoes, just a black T shirt and black sweatpants. He looked at the two others, but turned when he heard footsteps. He could tell there was another cell, probably holding more people.

The man who came went to Jericho's cell first. He looked at them , and said "Well well, what do we have here...Chris, Eric, and Jeremy. Or do you prefer Jericho?". Jeremy Rico, his full name, but everyone just called him Jericho. Jericho still had his back to the wall, his hands still behind it. He then continued "Now, there are two ways to do this. Willingly, or painfully. You can do what we say and follow us, or we can drag you along. It would be better if you came willingly....".

"Bastered" Jericho swore. Clearly his vocabulary is quite expansive. He then added "Don't try to deny it..."

This seemed to tick the man off. He then threatened "Do you want me to hurt you? Your ability to fly wont help you in here, and whipping was never actually outlawed...".

"Yeah, say that while I'm in here and your out there. Proves what a wimp you are". The man seemed to get angrier. He took out his gun from his holster and asked "Do you want me to shoot you in the leg? You are already handcuffed as is".

"Actually, the correct way to say that is WERE handcuffed..." Jericho replied, taking his hands out from behind him, one of whichwas holding handcuffs. The man looked surprised for a moment, but before he could do anything, he felt himself pinned to the wall behind him. Jericho looked at the cell door now, and focused. It began to shake and rattle a little, but then it was forced open. The gun floated to him, and took itself apart piece by piece. Jericho's eyes had a weird, momentary blue glow. A part of one of his side affects. It put itself back together. However, he then got a massive headache. He took the key, and unlocked the other cell. He then looked at the man. Jericho took the gun, and then whacked the man on the side of the head with it.

"And I prefer Jericho, if you don't mind....". He then looked at everyone else, randomly happy and energetic "Well that was fun. So, what's your names?"

(Epic starting post :D). (Anyone who joins later, we can work something out)

Chris rubbed a dark bruise on his arm as he watched the scene unfurl before him. First, he had been in here alone, with nothing but the sound of the guardā€™s heartbeat to keep him company. It had been niceā€¦ quiet. He had lashed out at one point and hit the brick wall in his anger, bruising his knuckles. But it wasnā€™t his fault. The guard refused to stop humming. It hadnā€™t done him any good though. All he had now was no way out and bruises. But the humming was nothing compared to this.

When the first person had come in, Erick was his name; it hadnā€™t been bad at all. Turns out that this man wasnā€™t too bad. He had a strong heart and he kinda breathed a bit loudly (anything else would have indicated a problem with his lungs), but he didnā€™t talk too much.

It was only when Jericho joined them that shit really hit the fan. First, he was thrown into the cell; a loud thud. Then came the talking and the sound of clothing having something drawn against them (the noise of a gun being pulled out of the holster), and a soft thump, and metal rattling, and more talking. At this point, Chris had his eyes closed and his lips pressed together tightly. The next few minutes where a stress induced blur

He was huddled in the corner of the small dirty jail cell when a girlā€™s voice penetrated his shields. ā€œā€œSorry to interrupt, but you guys should probably quiet down, if you donā€™t want anybody to come in and see you.ā€ Chris smiled bitterly at the first few words. These were his thoughts exactly. Except his went along the lines of shut the fuck up, nothing as nice as what she had said. When the other people didnā€™t listen, Chris found himself standing up off of the floor. He winced as the sharp sounds of voices hit his ears like a ton of bricks.

ā€œExcuse me,ā€ He began in a low, measured voice, ā€œI donā€™t mean to interrupt, but if you guys could just shut up, it would be really fucking nice.ā€ He paused for a moment, listening. ā€œIf you guys want to leave, the guard a few cells to our right is asleep, it sounds like two other guards are alarmed by the noise over here, and traffic is heavy right now. Oh, and itā€™s warm with a chance of rain. Just get outā€ He rubbed his temples to get rid of an impending headache. Usually, he wouldnā€™t be thisā€¦ helpful, but right now he just wanted them to get out and be quiet.

They were all just staring at him, just as he was studying them. There was a tall blonde man sitting, wincing as people spoke, he appeared to be very sensitive to sound. There was another blond man, skinny and just shorter than him who spoke to him, "I've been here for months. All there is to see is the same uniformed people walking by and the concreate walls. I think we ALL want to get out and see the world again. And I think working together might be a great way to get out of here." There were two...children... in the cell. What was the world coming to where kids were being thrown into jails like this one? Finally, there was a short blonde woman who whistled on her way into the cell swirling some keys around her finger, stolen off a guard Arach presumed. The sitting blonde man told them all to shut up, that there were guards on their way, and that the guard to the right was sleeping. They all just sort of stood there in silence for a moment. No one was willing to take charge. So, Arach decided he could be the one to lead, he appeared to be the oldest, he was definitely not the smartest, but he'd been in this kind of situation before, and he'd already formed a shadow of a plan. Time to go. "Well," he whispered, "if our sitting blonde friend is right, then we take the right to the cafeteria and bust through the windows. They're the safest bet. If all else fails, I can cause a big diversion for about 15 minutes and we can all get away... hopefully..." If the sitting man was right, the path to the right would be a nearly unmolested path to the cafeteria where he could break through the window and they could all get out. Still whispering, he said, "I'm sure by now, you've all noticed the dead guards. I can kill more if I need to, but I would prefer not to. If anyone else has any combat based powers, lead the way with me and we can take out problems as they arise. If no one's got any other questions or concerns, we should hurry up and leave. This kind of chance won't present itself to us again. We could get out of here without any more casualties. So let's all move out." He walked to the entrance of the cell, scanning for more guards and when he saw none, he looked back towards the group in the cell and waited for their reaction.

Jericho looked at the man on the wall, all the people, and he was getting a headache. Which made it very uncomfortable. All of a sudden, he was floating in the air, randomly, for no apparent reason. Well, actually, his reason was to get them all quiet. Which hopefully worked.

Thats when he said "Names Jericho. Now, my plan is simple. I am going to walk out of here, buy some ice cream, and get out of the country. Maybe il get a summer home in Australia.....or Switzerland. Never any wars there....or real conflict...." He then noticed the papers the gu pinned to the wall had on them. he took them, and opened up the folded paper, noticing it is in Egyptian. The man said "What, can't read Egyptian?" "No, just a bit rusty. 'Prepare all captives for transport, all of them. I am aware you will have about 8-9 by the time you get this, so I have sent 4 big vehicles of some kind for you. And make sure they are all sedated for transport. Especially that one bird kid,,,,' Really? Bird? You couldn't have used a better word? Does it look like I have wings to you?" The man was still shocked he could read Egyptian.

"So, lets get out of here before those reinforcements come then...." he noted, beginning to walk one way, before turning around and noting "I spent two summers in Egypt. I kept running out of books, so I taught myself Egyptian. There was plenty of writing on the walls...and a few fun traps....I found this nice amulet in one of them...." He then took out a nice Golden Amulet with a Ruby in the dead center. Notably, the amulet itself was in the Egyptian Symbol for Power.

"And no. It does not raise the undead....." he added, in a softer, slightly annoyed voice

Reason blinked at the older boy. She thought she kept her voice to a whisper. She just didn't respond to him. Then she thought why was there a young boy and a teenager here? Then again why was she here?

Her thoughts were interuptted by another girl walking up to her. She felt conflicted. She felt glad there was another girl here but then she felt bad that she was there in the first place. She gave the girl a nod and a quick smile. "A-all things considered..I'm fine." She said, wrapping her arms around herself. Both the girl and the teenaged boy noticed her scars first. She felt extremely self-conscious. She usually had her body covered but now that she had one in the middle of her forehead. She'd be forced to deal with the looks and eventually the questions.

She looked at the girl. "I-i'm Reason. " She said shyly. She figured she should try to make friends or allies with the other girl, being that so far it's just been them. They should stick together. Although, Reason fekt the girl could probably handle herself well. If the way she dressed was any indication then she was a force to be reckoned with. Atleast that's what Reason thought.

Jericho couldn't help but stop and flinch when the girl said "little boy". Lesson One: Don't call Jericho Little. He turned around and glared at her, screaming with rage "I AM NOT LITTLE!". Though, it was an obvious fact he was. He then turned around, and noted "Lets get out of here....". Well, now Reason ticked Jericho off. That's always a good idea (insert Sarcasm here). He then noted "Now, I was not joking about the walking out the front door part. That's our way out. Its just like a friend of mine once taught me. 'Es gibt immer einen Ausweg'. Translates to 'There is always a way out'. Good friend. Great Drinker. So, anyways, all we have to do is make them think we are going out the back way. We then walk right out through the front door. I can open the gate, all we need to do is get outside basically.

Of course, this was followed by two more voices he could barely here in the distance. Both speaking German. "Their not prison guards, they are talking about a huge money check. Probably hired to try and keep us from escaping....". He looked back t Hamlet, then sighed again. "Last year, my dad was busy with a lot of business trips, so he hired a German sniper to teach me how to shoot and how to speak German. Its complicated." He then added "Interesting spring break though....". That resulted in a smile. His first real smile this entire time. He then loaded the gun. "Note. There are 3 people in a German Squad Team, not two....this is a trap".

"And if we get through this, I might just tell you the rest of my life...and how I know these things".

Hamlet turns around to the woman's voice behind him, extremely irritated. Suddenly, multiple clones appeared around the girl, swords drawn. "Look, unless you want those guards up ahead to detect us, shut the fuck up so we can get them out of the way without having to charge at them shouting 'Bloody murder'!" Hamlet didn't have that much patience to begin with. All he wanted to do is escape. The fact that the people he is escaping with is making too much noise is bringing him over the edge. Great... Now I don't have enough energy to make myself invisible...

Hamlet makes the clones disappear and put a hand against a wall, extremely fatigued. He never really got that much energy since he didn't eat anything, just drink whatever the guards drop in his cell.

(OOC: Sorry for the extremely short post. I did this over my IPhone and it was running out of battery FAST.)

He looked at Luci with rage. "Listen. I am going to try and say this calmly and maturely. I do not appreciate being yelled at, just because I am trying to help you all escape. Unless you WANT to stay trapped in here. IN which case go ahead. But don't reprimand me for trying to help.....Schwachkopf". He then looked back at Reason.

"You can call me Jericho. Everyone else does". He then looked at Hamlet. "We still don't know where the third one is. Honestly, it would be better if these walls were not made out of concrete. Then I could probably break it down, depending on how think they are. And there is no way we can get out of here clean. If they are hiring mercenaries and such, then we will probably have to deal with much worse. I couldn't see what they had on the way in, but we better hope there isn't a tank. I cant stop the force of a tank shot.

He then noted "Well, somewhere in this place is the food the guards eat. If it helps, we could make a detour their first, and refuel everyone in the hunger area...."

"Just yhowing out some suggestions....and es Hamlet, I could do that, if you have the strength to....". He then looked at the girl producing sparks, and got an idea. "You could perhaps charge him up a little with your electricity, just be careful......"

(accidentally tagged Arach. Oh well, this has something to do with him anyways....)

Luci smiled unexpectedly. (It was more of a smirk, really.) Though her outburst had clearly not been appreciated by anyone, at least nobody was shouting anymore. She could work with that. The air around her was still charged with static, but she wasnā€™t quite a human stun gun anymoreā€”the sparks at her palms were no longer visible, replaced by a new layer of burned tissue.

It might almost be scary how quickly Luci went from ticked off to cooperative, but it seemed like everyone in the room was screwed up in one way or another. ā€œBased on what I saw coming in here, they keep the food down the hallway to our right. Big room, sort of a staff center. Close to the front entrance. I can handle alarm systems, but thereā€™re probably actual locks and off-duty guards in there too.ā€ She hadnā€™t actually fought enough with the people dragging her into the cell to merit being knocked out. Luci knew to pick her battles, and itā€™d seemed like a good idea to case the joint as much as possible. ā€œAnd, for the record, Iā€™m not a moron.ā€ Though she might not be some kind of prodigy, even Luci knew how to insult people in several languages.

The idea of charging people up via electricity intrigued her. The human brain and body both ran on electrical impulses, so, though it could work very well, an attempt at that could fail spectacularly, and even if he had annoyed her a little, she didnā€™t want to give the illusionist permanent brain damage. As soon as she heard the idea, Luci was in her own world, considering how she could carry out the plan with minimal risk. ā€œI could probably do that.ā€ She sounded faraway, and it was clear she was more occupied with thinking than anything else.

"Hamlet..." Hamlet suddenly started to forget about having a wall of darkness surrounding him, having to run away from the guards and the prinson. He felt that he was being loved and being cared about, two things that Hamlet never really felt in a long time. He nearly got lost in that feeling for about a few seconds, then realized where he was right now.

Hamlet turns to Luci and Jericho, his face always like it has been. "My powers are dependent on the state of my brain. If I try to make a clone right now to draw the enemy away, they'll be able to see it's just an illusion. I'm willing to get electrocuted just so that I can make my powers work for this situation right now." He gets himself off the wall and walks to them, stumbling a few times. "If you could stimulate my brain, I'll be able to draw the enemy away successfully and without any problems. I can probably make all of us invisible until we get out of the room. However, I can only affect the sounds we make for about 3 to 5 seconds. Once those precious seconds are up, we have to walk as silently as possible. Then after that, we can get something to eat."

Hamlet knew the risks of getting shocked to stimulate his brain. Then again, so did Jericho, Reason, and Luci. However, being electrocuted is just a small price to pay if he wanted everyone out alive. He won't die. After all, Arcanado experienced so much worse than being shocked. Hamlet can not let a simple shock stop him now, much less for a normal human, but that doesn't mean that what he was about to do just to try to get out of here won't stop his life.

Arcanando turns to Reason suddenly, and says "Gomen nasai. Arigato." However, no one heard it except Hamlet, and Luci. It was just another one of his illusions, the dialogue just was transferred from Hamlet's mind to Reason's, another side effect of Hamlet's power, being able to transfer thoughts to the person the illusion was meant for. Even though it was an illusion, what Hamlet said in it was actually what he was thinking.

(Accidentally said Luci when it was actually addressed to reason. Lets just say Hamlet forgot to make Luci unable to hear what he said.)

Luci understood Reasonā€™s uncertainty. After all, she was basically electrocuting Hamlet to give him a little extra energy, and it was hard to accept that even for her. Upping the voltage on her electricity was easy, but holding back had taken her a lot longer to master, and there had been casualties before. Still, she was confident that she could at least not do any damage.

ā€œDonā€™t worry. I wonā€™t hurt him. The worst that could happen is no more dangerous than getting shocked on a doorknob, and I have been working with this for all my life.ā€ She raised an eyebrow at Reason, amused rather than offended.

She turned to Hamlet, a little startled to hear him speak. Figures that theyā€™d all be fluent in some foreign language or other. Luciā€™d taken three years of French in high school, maybe that counted for something. She nodded in acknowledgement of his words before closing her eyes. She didn't usually need to do that to focus her energy, but she wasn't usually in this delicate of a situation. It was a brief thing, really. For a split second, she knew exactly what she was doing. She could practically see the energy around her, even with her eyes closed, and it was an effortless matter to gradually focus it onto Hamlet's brain stem. What seemed to her like a long, drawn-out process really only took a few moments, and finally, Luci opened her eyes. ā€œThat should do it. Feeling all right?ā€ Though she looked a little singed, she felt fine, actually almost triumphant. If she managed to successfully recharge someoneā€™s brain with electrical energy, even if it was only for a brief span, there was clearly no limit to what she could accomplish.

Hamlet did feel a little pain, but he was too stubborn to show it. He did however, felt his brain being charged up to a somewhat normal state. As Luci finished, Hamlet replied with "Alright." and stood up. He tested his powers by making a clone of himself and made him disappear. Perfect. "Alright Jericho. I'll make the gun invisible and you make it fly into another hallway. Once it is there, you shoot it, and the guards will come rushing. I'll turn us all invisible and we can sneak past them into where they keep all the food. Got it?"

As Hamlet finished, he quickly turned to Reason and whispered. "Look, I know you care about me and all because you are a nurse, but it was either me or our freedom. I'm not gonna waste an opportunity to escape like this one. Besides, I lived a life in hell, God owes me heaven." As Hamlet turned to the others, he added: "Anata ha watashi jissai ni ha ki no you kanji te i masu. Anata jishin no haha ga ta you ni kanji ta. Arigatou..." Hamlet was too shy in the inside to even bother telling her in English, but Reason DID make him feel like some cared about him and hat he had a mother. He longed for those feelings, and Reason gave them to him, even if she didn't know it.

While the little ones were debating the best course of action, Arach was recharging. He listened intently to their plan. It was by far better than his, but then again, Arach knew only destruction. He looked around, while there was no clock, he'd felt that by now his six minutes were up. Looking at his hands, the skin had returned to it's slightly tanned color. Arach could use his powers again. Looking up from his momentary meditation, Arach saw that they were beginning to move. They planned to make a gun float and turn everyone invisible to conserve stealth. While it was a worthwhile strategy, Arach had a better idea, though, by nature, Dragons are much more prone to battle. Arach spoke up, "Save your energy little one, I'll deal with the guards. I'll also cause I diversion. Head over to the guard's lounge in exactly one minute. I'll meet you there. Be sure to save me a large jug of water if you can find it. I'll give the guards something to worry about besides us." Arach new that this particular aspect would cause him a large headache, but it would cause the best distraction and allow the others to sneak by unassailed. He could meet them later and they could get out. If he couldn't meet up with them, he could still bust his way out on his own. "It's about time you learned a little about me, and the reason this Old Dragon was captured. My powers are very dangerous. Even to me, but they are incredibly useful and if harnessed, they could grant unlimited power to the one who seeks it." Arach said. He pulled a small knife from his bag, this would require a lot of blood and a whole lot of water. "To your good health little ones," Arach grinned as he slit his palm with a long shallow gash. Making a fist, and holding it above his open mouth, Arach drank his blood until the shallow wound closed. "Blegh, it always tastes terrible, guess you are what you eat, eh?" He chuckled. He felt power roar to life inside him. Focusing on the most recognizable Aspect of a Dragon, Arach called forth the Flaming Breath. Thick, flat scales formed over Arach's throat and mouth. They were deep red, and black stripes crawled up his neck. Bending down and pulling on the bullet proof vest of the indisposed guard beneath him, Arach turned back to the group. "This place is about to have a little fire hazard," Arach growled, letting relentless heat rampage from his mouth as he spoke. It wasn't so hot as to melt anything, or burn anyone standing to close, but it was very hot, it could easily be felt by all in the room. "Wait one minute then head to the guard's lounge. I'll meet you there in 8 minutes."

Not waiting for their response, Arach bolted from the room. Turning immediately to the left, Arach bolted headlong into the heart of the Jail. He was met by a few measly guards, but he didn't care. They'd vaporized when he blew on them, and unleashed the raging inferno from his Jaws. Incinerating guards he met along the way, Arach headed toward the control center of the Jail, away from the cell with the little ones. As soon as he reached the main hub, he roared in fury, finally pulling the real stopper from the veritable river of lava waiting to be set free from his gullet. The placed went up instantly. He took a few shots to the chest in the process, but his new vest was very handy in deflecting them. Loosing his flames a few more times for good measure, making sure the bulk of them were aimed towards the video surveillance system, he hedged his bets and ran. By now, the little one's had made it to the lounge. There they would be waiting for him for five minutes before leaving. Hopefully. Not wanting anymore time to be wasted, Arach turned off his flame breath. The flames from before didn't settle easily, they now ravaged his throat, and as he stumbled from the drain, he felt himself become immensely thirsty. Fighting hard to stand, Arach began walking to the lounge where the group was planning to meet. He was thirsty, and tired, but the jail had more pressing matters to deal with than a weakened old man and a small group of supers attempting an escape. The main control hub was in a blazing inferno, and the video surveillance control was at least severely hampered. if they could find him under all that mess, while putting out the fires, they deserved to catch Arach. Arach had used his flame breath for roughly 5 minutes. He'd have to take it slowly for 10 minutes before he could be of any use again. It would take him another 5 minutes to get to the lounge. He'd work hard to make it there sooner, but he was just so tired. Hopefully there was water for him, and hopefully, they'd saved it, his little ones. They weren't actually his kids, but he couldn't help but feel... Protective of them, they deserved a better life than this. The poor children. Still struggling along, Arach continued to make his was to the guard's lounge, where water, and a jailbreak was waiting for him.

Hamlet chuckled when he heard the trouble the guards went through to capture Rolando. The guards were lucky that they got me when I was having a breakdown... Hamlet thought, thinking back to when he was captured. "That's one interesting power you got there Rolando... Anyway... Anybody know where to go next to get the hell out of here? My stomach's grumbling like crazy."

Hamlet is really starting to get hungry, and he figured everybody else is too. How long has it been since they had eaten? It would probably be long, especially for Isabella. Besides, hungry or not, they needed to get out of there anyway before any surviving guards show up or the prison get burned down.

God, there were so many people here. And three kids now. Luci sighed. It just wasnā€™t right that theyā€™d send a cute seven-year-old girl like that into a jail where clearly none of the guards knew about health codes or cruel and unusual punishment. She sighed. Though far from drained, the episode of recharge had left Luci a little stunned. She hadnā€™t really known that she could do that (though she doubted she should let Reason know that) and it was pretty darn amazing.

ā€œI think we could all use a good meal. I donā€™t know how long itā€™s been since Iā€™ve eaten. The crap they tried to give me didn't count as food.ā€ She scanned the room again, realizing that she still hadnā€™t introduced herself to half these people. ā€œFor those of you who didnā€™t know yet, Iā€™m Luci. And based on what I saw on my way in here, they keep the real food a few rooms away, down that hall and to the right. Shouldn't be too out of the way if we're going out the roof exit.ā€ She indicated the same hall Isabella was talking about. It was surprising that sheā€™d been conscious when theyā€™d dragged her in, but then again, Luci was good at knowing when to cooperate. "We should be able to handle the guards, most of them are idiots anyway." She smiled crookedly.

As Arach was walking back from his raid on the control room, a young man stepped out of the shadows and offered to help him. The fire was really starting to grow, and though Arach was concerned, he would be just fine. He started to protest, but the man wasn't taking no for an answer, he grabbed his arm and then they... shifted. Arach wasn't sure how, but they were in the guard lounge. The effort of moving them seemed to have tired the young man, because he backed off and rested against the wall. He followed suit, still tired from his pyroclastic escapades. He looked and saw that the others had made it safely, and was glad. The scarred woman from the cell asked if he was ok. He tried to speak but only croaked, he needed water, but he was too tired to move. He wanted to thank the man for his help, but his throat was far too ravaged to speak, so he only nodded in appreciation. His voice was coming back slowly, he wouldn't be able to speak louder than a whisper but he needed to ask. He needed water, he was far too thirsty to wait any longer. Just as he was about to ask for water, a little girl had materialized in front of him. She was so little, even younger than the children he'd met in the other cell. A little brown haired girl with blue eyes like the sea. She was an adorable little girl, and it sickened Arach to think of what horrible world would put such an angel in a jail such as this. "I'm Isabella." She said sweetly. Though Arach still couldn't speak, he smiled at the little girl, and patted her head. Arach resolved then and there to protect them all, even if he didn't know them, even if they didn't want him to. They were by no means his children, but where Arach came from, women and children are to be protected.

While Arach was resting, the little ones made a plan to escape from the roof. He would need at least another seven minutes to rest before he could act again. Sure he'd be able to move, but taking on another Aspect would have to wait. Shuffling over to the sink, he gulped water as fast as he could, getting as much in his system as he possible. Arach was so thirsty; the water felt like life. They planned to raid the food stores. Everyone drooled slightly, real food sounded like the best idea since escaping. After he'd finished gulping water like a race horse, he stood up, wiped his face on his sleeve. He stood ready to move, but as it was, he would be of no use for another 6 minutes. However, they needed to know before they moved on. He searched frantically for a pen and paper, until he finally found it. He wrote the following about his condition: I need to rest for about another 6 minutes. The Breath makes me thirsty and exhausted. I've drunk some water, but I'll need more later. I can stand and move, but fighting will be hard. They're still probably dealing with the fires, so we'll have time to wait, but if you are going to need my help, you are going to have to wait. He after writing, he sat down, he needed the rest if they were going to be moving soon.

Jericholooked at everyone. He was overwhelmed by all the people. However, he snapped back into his stubborn setting. "Okay, I just think we need to clear up what at least most of us are thinking. We all have powers. We are all here because of our powers. Therefore, I think we need to stick together. Now, first step is getting out. I'm ready when you are. We also need to find some sort of transportation. Anyone have any ideas?". He also began levitating the gun, ready.

That's when an alarm went off. It was from the complete other side of the prison, and all the guards began to run that way.

Jericho went forward. "Let's go!". He ran towards the door, but the power then went out. Backup lights quickly kicked in. "Did we do that?" Jericho asked, considering the whole group as one now. He could hear gunfire. He quickly went towards a window. He could see a group of people in the courtyard. They had similar electromagnetic waves to their own. But they were not any of them. They were other escapees. One launched a fireball, while the other was shooting some sort of bone spike.

But they seemed different then them. Ruthless, angry, and merciless.

"What's going on down there?". Jericho found himself slightly terrified of them. He saw them kill a group of guards who tossed down their weapons and surrendered. Then he resettled himself, and noted "We should go now. We can't wait. More people might be comming, and I don't want to get into a huge fight. We need to hurry!". He ran towards the exit, hoping everyone can keep up. Which they probably can.

(Sorry, I couldn't tell if everyone was close to each other or not. However, I HIGHLY recommend avoiding the people in the courtyard. Sorry if I messed up anyone)

Arach kept running. He looked over at Hamlet, as he asked his question. While Arach still had a minute left before he could talk, he shook his head, "No." Arach had rested and downed more water than he really needed to, but it felt so good he didn't want to stop drinking. He had eaten too, so he was fine on that front, but he couldn't transform again for a few more moments. He was hoping that whatever was trapped behind the wall made by Reason would take just a little longer to get through, because if there was a fight to be had there was no way that he was sitting out. Hamlet and Jericho were discussing a plan. Arach listened intently, ready to take his part if or when necessary.

(Sorry about the short post, I could think of literally nothing else XP)

Jericho looked at Hamlet and Arach. "All right, so, plan time. First off, we have our powers, this gun, and there is the other prisoners, who if I had to guess, they were keeping in someplace even more secure and more well guarded then us. There are also the guards. The prisoners down there slaughting everyone will probably go for the front door, so we need a new way out....wait, I got it! The garage! Where they keep all the prison vehicles! We can take one or two trucks, and leave through that way. If needed, I can force the door open, and we drive out! Granted, we will probably need to find new vehicles soon enough, but we can deal with that later....".

That's when footsteps could be heard. Four guards burst in, pointing guns at all of then. Jericho focused. They screamed to get down on the ground and to relinquish their weapons. Jericho pointed the gun at them. They shot at him, but the bullets stopped mid air in front of them, with a slight bit of electricity around the bullets. "Electro-Magnetic Field. So, my turn. Give us your weapons, ammo, and Radios. And your body armor..."

He looked at Arach. "You know, I think body armor will suit you..."

Jericho then looked at Hamlet. "We are not leaving anyone behind. Eat, drink, and rest for 5-10 minuets. Then, if you could, make it look like.....Canadian Troops are attacking. That should be confusing enough to let us all escape unseen. Unless you have a better idea?"

Jericho wasn't 100% sure it would work, and this was the first time he was giving orders in a real life or death situation. He was scared, to be honest, but trying not to show it. He wanted to be more then just a scared little kid though. He was tired of being underestimated for his age. He has a high IQ, knows how to shoot, speaks several languages, and has seen several different parts of the world. People have gone after him before for his parents money. After the first time he was kidnapped, and after he escaped (Which is when he learned about his power, he never wanted to be helpless again.

Jericho looked at everyone, and with some reform, he said "Let's go steal back some freedom".

"Yeah. Some guards failed at attempting to kill us though." Hamlet said, as Rolando came back. When did he leave? And when did he have gear on him? Hamlet turned to Jericho. "Yeah. We'll need to build up some energy and we need to obtain a fast getaway car. " Hamlet already ate something, so his energy was already restored. "I'll scout ahead to see if there are anymore. If there are any other guards left, I'll cut them down to size." Maybe your size. Hamlet mentally chuckled.

Hamlet then turned invisible and ran ahead without the others noticing. He tread silently until he could hear a Japanese voice. "What do you want from me?" Hamlet heard."

"Your life." Answered another voice.

Oh no... Hamlet's eyes widened. One of them is here as well! Hamlet turned to warn the others, but he felt something hit him, and everything went black.
