Vanessa was getting her hearing back. She could hear the footsteps of the vampire coming closer. She felt his foot come down on her leg. He was about to strike. Vanessa quickly opened her eyes and pounced on the vampire. She threw her right hand at his neck and pushed him to the tree. She used her left to take the stake while the vampire was stunned. She lifted the vampire up by his neck and brought his face closer to her. "Give me a name." her voice was confident now. The vampire couldn't move and she had his stake at his heart.
The vampire looked at her, and muttered, "Damon."
Vanessa froze, that name sounded familiar to her. She looked through her memories, and remembered that there was an Original called 'Damon'. She looked back at the vampire and pressed her stake against his heart, "You're lying."
The vampire smiled, "What? Do you realize that you have no chance now?"
"Shut up." Vanessa snapped, she was getting annoyed with this guy. So she decided that she was no more use to her, she pulled back her stake and stabbed his heart. A deafening cry came from the vampire but he became limp. His face frozen in fear, his skin became darker, and his veins seemed to pop out. He was dead. Vanessa turned around and looked for the others.

(Post idea!)(Also midnight, i was wondering how we would make our charries know each other before they got turned. And why my guy was turned. This is my idea. My charrie tried to stop Damon, not knowing he was a vampire. So naturally, they got pumbled and almost killed. To save their lives, before he went to save yours, Stefan turned them into vamps. And the reason i said them was because i was thinking of having a younger brother for my charrie too, anyways, il post my idea now for this post in this one)

Matthew got fully up, and looked at the vampire, holding a dagger (wait, i didnt give him that? How the hell did he get that dagger without MY knowing?) to his neck. However, Matthew froze for a moment, focusing on the face...

He looked at this kid holding his hand next to him. He began to say something, only this time he could remember. "Brother, if i live long enough, but since i also wouldn't age, would that make me young or old?" he asked. He appeared to be about 11, and his bite mark still looked new. But not his size of fangs. He looked back saying "Well Tim, i think it would make you both", also smiling. As they walked toward a balcony, he stopped. "Wait, i think i dropped my key! Hold on Matt, il be right back!" he yelled, running back down the hallway. Matthew proceeded to the Balcony. He looked down and Stefan and Elena, or Katrina. But then he heard a name moments before. Damon. (yes, he heard you) He saw him, recognizing him going toward them. He was about to warn them, except he felt a punch. Thats why he turned. He wasn't abandoning them. Someone else had attacked him...and he saw the face of his attacker before he couldn't remember anymore. It was the same face that he was looking at now....

"You.....You were there......you are going to tell us what happened!" he yelled, holding the dagger at his neck tightly. "You are going to tell us or i will kill you right now!" he screamed, then calmly looking at Elena. "He.....he was the one that prevented me from warning you.....he was working with whoever caused you to lose your memory" he said, then noting "at least, thats all i can remember....and thats barely anything, but it is enough. That and....i have a brother...". He went quiet then, holding the dagger closer to the attackers neck.

(Well, there you go :D )

Elena walked over to a tree, ripped off a branch and snapped it in half making it sharp. "Move." She was pissed off. According to Matthew, this vampire was one of the assholes responsible for her pain, for everything that's happened to her for over a century. She's never known anything about her past, but she was determined to find out everything she could from this vampire...before she killed him. it was times like these when her more vindictive side emerged into the spot light.

Vanessa could hear Matthew and Elena, so she followed the sound of their voices. She saw Matthew holding a dagger up against one of the vampires. Hm. None of us died? Good. She listened as he explained to Elena that this vampire had interfered with her memory. She could see that Elena was getting mad now, she approached the two of them, watching Elena as she went to the other vampire with her branch. "You alright?" she asked Matthew quietly. "I guess you're having better luck getting this guy to spill..?" All Vanessa could get out of that other guy was a name. She was too annoyed to ask anything else. She's not much an interrogator.

"Most likely, he did it both of us....." he told her, moving aside as Elena looked like she was going to beat the crap out of him. But he muttered something that they all could barely hear (even with vampire hearing). "I have.....a brother......" he muttered. "Honestly, im not sure right now.........but i know what i want to do....." he told her. "I need to remember more....if i only i could remember....." he sighed.

(Ummm, i was just thinking? Where do you think we should make that scene that we both keep remembering? I was thinking Italy. Or somewhere in Rome maybe? Its up to you, but i keep imagining fine roman architecture whenever i picture that memory >.>)

Elena kneeled in over the vampire. "Now listen up, as long as we dont shove this thing through your heart, you wont die, but that gives tons more places that we could stab. You have two options. You can either tell us everything you know, or you can go through as much pain as possible until I shove this stake through your heart. Got it?" The man seemed to tremble, but in defiance he spat in her face. She wiped it off, her eyes becoming red around her pupils, veins seeming to pop out around her eyes. "Guess you choose option 2." She smirked and pushed the stake into the man's stomach, making him scream. She brought it back out and looked at him as if asking 'Are you going to talk?'

"Elena, i hope you dont mind, but this works so much more" he noted, aiming the wooden spike a little bit lower toward a certain area. The man seemed to gulp, and began to tell Elena everything. "See, much better" he noted. (To be clear, seeing as how he trembled, he is that weak. No one wants to feel pain there....)

Vanessa looked at Matthew, "A brother?" she echoed him. She had no idea what to say really. She knew he had lost memories of his own as well. "Don't worry. I'm sure it will come back to you. Give it some time." She looked over at Elena, she was a better interrogator. The vampire was already scared, much more than the one she fought was. A huge grin appeared on Vanessa's face as Matthew told Elena one of his methods. She watched the vampire spill all of his secrets, that was easier than she thought.

(listen, im confused ok. PLease, Violet and Vanessa are both same sounding to me, i need a way totell the difference, ignnore the unedited post, i editing now. ARG, MY BRAIN HURTS!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!)

"Good choice." Elena turned back to the vampire. "Now, thank you for all of that wonderful information." "Ok, I told you everything now just let me go." "Sorry, not an option." With that she plunged the stake through his heart. She stood up. "Welll, now we sort of know what's going on."

"So what the plan now?" Matthew asked. From what he could tell, for at least Elena and him anyway, it just became personal. "Because i say we hunt the bastered down and find my brother and whoever was with you from what you can remember" he noted.

"good plan, but we should wait for at least a day. We need to stock up on blood first." She said, moving the now dead vampires out of the walkway.

Vanessa looked at the sky, "Alright..." If there were more vampires who were as strong or even stronger than those vampires they would need all of their strength. "So do we have any idea on where to find these guys?"

"Well, we follow this Damon guy. I want to know who he is." Elena said, gathering up the stakes.

"Well as the man was wise enough to supply, i believe he mentioned something about Italy. Rome to be exact" he told them. Then he noted "I have a good stock on the basement. Enough to last us about 16-18 days for all of us". "There is one last thing though..." he told them, going to a bookshelf and taking a huge book. He opened it, revealing a variety of equipment. Stakes, Flare guns, some daggers. "Lets get ready, and lets get some money ready too" he noted, putting everything in his backpack. Now if only they had a shotgun......

He glanced back at the dead vampires dust and noticed something. He picked it up. 4 tickets to Italy, Rome. "Well thats convenient" he noted.

(the 1st 2 would be for him (the attacker) to take back Elena/Katrina (although now Elena and Matthew can use them), the last 2 are just for dam convenience because i don't want to leave our other 2 behind xD)

Vanessa darted her glance from Matthew and the book that held a multitude of different weapons. "You've been ready for something like this to happen?" she asked. She looked at the tickets. "Hm. That is convenient." she echoed. "I never would have thought that I would go to Rome, not even in my human life." She thought about the beautiful architecture and culture in Italy. This should be fun.

"Well, we'll need someone to translate. So, I can help if needed. And we'll need to pack some clothes. I dont know about you, but I dont like to wear an outift for over 2 days. And think Italian. Remember, we need to blend in." She said, walking back inside.

"No, its just that when you cant remember anything...." he started, then pausing and looking at Elena. He remembered the 1st day he could remember since he lost his memory, possibly with the help of vampire memory, and the 1st day he joined the James family with Elena...

"Guys, i think they are waking up!" someone yelled. He barely could open his eyes. He was lying on the couch. He could barely move at first. "Where am i....who are you...." he asked, seeing Elena wake up as well. One of them asked who he was. "I...cant remember....all i know is that my name is Matthew...." he said. He looked at himself. He looked like he just got badly wounded or something. He saw Vanessa and asked "Who are you?", then realizing he couldn't remember anything pretty much.

He looked at Vanessa now. "....You always should make sure about your own safety" he finished. Then he noted "I think i have a translation guide for Italian. Il go check" he told them.


(Woo hoo, another memory that will be important. Granted its not new, but its always fun to include memories :D )

"Beh, è italiano nel mio sangue, almeno penso che sia." She said, smiling at one of the only things she could remember. She could speak italian. "Remember, in Italy, there'll probably be more of this Damon guy's vampire henchmen. So watch out. And listen to the voices around you. If you hear someone say the words Damon or Katerina, run. Run as fast as you can. I dont know what we'll find in Italy, but we're about to find out." She explained.

Vanessa looked at Matthew, "Oh wow..... Well you all will have to help me...." she laughed. "All of you are better prepared than me." She looked at Elena, she watched her in wonder as she spoke Italian fluently, it was odd how that was really the only thing from her past that she could clearly remember. "Well this should be fun. Off killing vampires in Italy, that'll be a nice change of scene." she said cooly. As Elena talked of Damon's henchman, she wondered as to what kind of people they would find there. She thought of Erin, the one who turned her and left without a trace. If she found him, Vanessa would kill him. She hated him for just leaving her, not caring what happened - whether she lived or not. "Okay, I'll be right back, gotta pack now... Hm.. What to wear..." she murmured as she walked off. "Oh.." she turned around, "What do people in Italy wear anyways?"

"Italy is one of the worlds biggest tourist attractions" Matthew told her. He got the tickets searched up. "Ok, i have the blood and my stuff ready, and i know what airport to go. We should go before more of them come" he told them. He also noted to Elena "Ho appena hai capito?". Matthew was surely confused now. Although it made some sense, as they had both been found together by the James Family. He gave the book to Vanessa. "You might need this more" he noted, then adding "Il get the car ready". He also muttered something else, that kind of sounded like "Dammi la mia torta ora sciocco".

(Translation: Did i just understand you? The other one i wont reveal, as it has no real use)

Elena smiled. "People in Italy wear pretty much the same clothes we do. So, it shouldnt be a big change." She turned to Matthew. "sì."was all she said before she sped up to her room to start packing.

Vanessa looked at the book Matthew had gave her and skimmed through it, "Thanks." She walked up to her room and got packed, one small suitcase with clothes and a large hand bag with the Italian-English dictionary on top of all of her essentials. She walked back to the others, "Alright. I'm all set."

Elena walked down. "I'm done too. But remember, while we're there, the first thing we need to do is locate the closest ource of blood. We cant just get on a plane with bags of blood without rising suspicions."
