Personality

Delaney is well... not like most. Can be rather optimistic compared to others and always see's the bright side of things to be honest. Always willing to help others out in the worst of times and always coming up with useful advice. The girl isn't one of the girliest girls either as she has a rather manly side to her as she grew up with an older brother whom she has deep love for as he was... and still is her only kind of support left around. For some odd reason, she feels compulsed to remain happy in order to make others feel happy too, though inside, she is troubled and she knows it. But for some reason, her communication skills aren't that good, making her secretive and unable to express her feelings properly.

Though sometimes, she has a hidden bitter tongue and raging anger. This one isn't afraid to fight dirty at all when she needs to.

Equipment

Since her brother is a cop, he supplies her with weapons, mainly firearms since well... he wants her to be safe like any brother would want their sister to be:

  • 2 Smith & Wesson
  • 2 IOF .32 Revolver
  • Shot gun
  • Knives

Though she is slightly proficient in martial arts too, though just taekwondo, since her brother trained her in the arts in case... anything occured to her that could cost her any type of value, be it money or her life. And is also trained in gymnastics, so when needs be or worst comes to worst, she can be rather agile too, thanks to her brothers training.

History

Well, Delaney was born 'Delaney Sophia Hale' to Mae Richards and Samuel Hale, along with older brother Austin. For them and their younger brother, life wasn't particularly easy. As as soon as Delaney was born, Mae died after childbirth and the siblings had to live with their father, who went through depression and didn't exactly make life easy for them either as during the late knights, he'd let out his stress and anger on his children and would go for Dee but sometimes, Austin would take her place, not seeing the justice in that at all.

And inside, despite the smiles she'd always have on her face, she hated it all. Him and everything. She held a grudge, one she couldn't maintain and was so disheartened by her mothers death. She didn't like the pain she was being put through because of her father. But remained close to Austin nonetheless. He was her brother and was the closest she ever had to a friend as she was normally isolated from the outside world, she couldn't smile, laugh, play. But everything else was fine, she had the necessities.

Austin was the only person the girl could rely on. But yet not trust, she didn't know why but she could never explain to him her issues, or how she felt at all. Causing tension between the two. And for a few years, he ran away. Left her to take the hard hits on her own, even worse thanks to him running away. But after a few months, just after her 13th birthday, he returned for her and they ran away, only to find that a year later on that day. He died. The flu that had spread around got to him. Though she didn't care. She thought he deserved it.

And they lived life like that. Delaney and Austin. Wondering around the streets sometimes in the grit and the dirt, scavenging for food like little animals. Though people would feed them. Luckily, by then her brother was actually eighteen, so he applied for a job, enough to get them food and save up for a place to stay and he did just that. As a cop, and she was his inspiration. He wanted to protect people, make sure they didn't end up like his sister either and it did help. Not a lot but it did a bit.

But she didn't like their way of living.

So after a day of work, this was a few years later, she was now... 16 herself and Austin was 21. They entered a bar and got a drink each to celebrate... or more to mourn over their mother's death while drinking moonshine. This was where they met Michael Johnson. They were now his allies as they got to know each other. Though Austin was a cop, he kept a promise to Michael about keeping this place a secret, if whenever they came here, he'd watchover Austin's sister when he was wondering about heck knows where.

It was her, through the times Michael struggled through said. "Because when the going get tough, heck the tough sure get going. One way or another." Everytime he had a problem. Now this was when she was happier, now she was more free. She would no longer have to stay a pessimist and see the downside of things. Though even with the smile on her face and the glint in her eyes...

The past still lingered, it still haunted her inside. But will she ever let anyone know about this?

So begins...

((Meh, hey dudesss. Just thought I'd pop in with a post and say hi!))

Michael sighed. After being with Leonore and having their little 'moment' in the bathroom. He had went outside, wondering about and all, heck knows how long he had been there for but he knew he was out there for long. He had on casual wear and on his return, sat outside the family bar, well. Not right outside it but still, within proximity and sighed. He was bored and heck knows what he would do otherwise but he didn't want to come inside yet. Michael then sighed, a hand on his head as he looked up to the sky, until something blocked it a little. The dimming of the light bothered him a little until he heard a voice, a familiar voice anyways.

"Mikey! Hey Mikey! Michael!" And suddenly, a hand waved across his face, but despite annoying him a little. He instantly knew who it was and boy was he happy about it.

Then with that he sighed and suddenly stood up, smirking in a way that could be described as 'malicious' somehow. "Well, well. If it isn't my dear friend Dee. How have you been?" He asked with a slight smirk and literally bear hugged the girl. Sighing a second time and smiled. "Well... if you let me breathe a little. I'll tell ya." She mentioned and patted his back for a moment, suddenly gazing at him slightly in a bemused manner. Strange how I stumbled past him on my way to visit Austin. She thought and chuckled to herself and he released her slightly, still holding her as she raised an eyebrow. "Actually I have been good thanks and you?" She asked back and he nodded. "Same 'ere I guess. Will tell you all about it." He mentioned and patted the space beside him, she nodded and sat down, budging up closer to him as they started talking about recent happenings. This and that. Catch up sessions and all was how it seemed between the two. And an old friend was just what Michael needed for now, just someone he hadn't seen in ages. He didn't know why but that was just how he saw it all.

-------------------------------------------

While his sister was out wondering off, Austin was working. Sitting and doing papers, bored out of his wits. He decided to check up on her again in a few minutes. Too see how she was doing and all. Something he did often. But he couldn't help himself, he did care for her a lot. And couldn't help but every so often try to snoop into her business, for some reason he felt it was his duty to in some way. As they now lacked parents themselves, he had her back and she had his, it was the sibling trade, the promise they made. The alliance of the Hale twins. So he was going to finish off his work first before setting off to find Delaney and 'look out for her'. He didn't even see it as spying. Not at all. Just a friendly observance on his little sister. Right?

((Hehe... Lool, I hope I'd be able to stick with them though. xD *Waves back*))

"Well, it's great to see you around again. Coming later?"

That was what Michael asked with raised eyebrows and the female laughed and nodded along. "Of course. Why wouldn't I?" She asked and thought about it for a moment. Oh yes, that's right... She then thought and sighed. Just thinking about it, after her last visit here, did she really want that to happen again with her brother? Presumably not. But suddenly, Michael turned, unable to respond and sighed, noticing the door open swiftly and seeing his sister's blonde hair. He furrowed his eyebrows.

What happened in there? He thought to himself and took in a deep breath, they were a slight distance away but could still hear the door opening. "And yeah, that's the story." She then mentioned and looked up. Not exactly acknowledging the males turn as he faces back to her. "What's up now? Dee's finally gotten sad?" He then asked with a raised eyebrow and she chuckled. "No... not at all." She included and sighed. "Well, it is nice talking to you and all. But I best be heading off soon. Austin's daily check up, you know?" She included with a smile on her face. "And before I head off gain, hows the family. You know, the ones you tell me about." She also mentioned with a fascinated glint in her eyes. He sighed and chuckled.

"Well, Forrest's good, well last time I checked anyway. Maggie... well I gotta find out about that since she suddenly started opening doors and all. I mean, even the other one's doing good from the last time I checked so you know..." He included and nodded his head, patting the girl on the shoulder. But she said something else that then opened a new gateway to conversation:

"Hey, I gotta tell you something."

And there it was, they talked for longer. He tried to ignore the events of the house since he thought things would be fine there and he wanted to catch up with the girl anyways.

------------------------------------------------

"Could this rubbish get any more boring?" Austin thought as he got up. "Hey, I'm out for a bit." He called out to an officer and he nodded before making his exit, looking around for his sister since well. She would never, ever stay at home. Why? Well he just hoped she wasn't hurt. The dirty blonde rested his hands behind his neck and whistled a tune, he was proficient at this stuff. And just hoped it was loud enough to catch Delaney's attention to let her know he was about and hoping he found her soon since well... she never did come to him after all.

Michael raised his eyebrow in a bemused way. He didn't acknowledge the real issue of it all at home and looked up, after the brunette whispered something into his ear. He chuckled. "Well, that is... rather interesting now isn't it?" He mentioned and chuckled again jokingly and turned back at the house, all doors and windows open, he was worried. "Well... I might've to check on them, seems rather odd that something would happen like this." He mumbled aloud and sighed. Delaney blinked for a moment in confusion, unable to see what was bothering him she nodded and he looked to the sky. "If there is an issue and Maggie is doing such things, something must be up..." He then included and sighed. "I mean, I don't even know whose in the house or anything. Apart from Mags obviously, maybe Forrest and Kaiden..." He then included and looked to the girl again, who nodded a second time, remaining silent for a bit. The girl was a tad lost in her own thoughts too. Drowning out everything else.

-------------------------------------

Austin asked around and observed, so many brunettes, so many that could or couldn't be his sister. Why were things like that? He wasn't too sure. "Dee? Deeeee? Where are you?" He called out and sighed. Distraught for a bit, just because she never came forward. Which bothered him a lot as anything could have happened to her.

((o_o Just casually going to type to make up for not posting yesterday...))

After a while, the two were no longer at the front of the station anymore. They wondered and met up with Delaney's older brother. Austin. A policeman who had a nack for drinks and blackmailing. Delaney sighed and folded her arms, they were near a park. The park where Michael met Leonore, heck it brought back so many memories. The two males nodded at each other before grimly mentioning names.

"Michael Johnson." "Austin Hale."

It was weird because Austin liked drinks, but believed it was wrong to have a pub in any area. It was as if things were slightly hypocritical. Or bent. Or whatever.

"So, why didn't you come to the Police Station like I asked Dee?" The dirty blonde officer asked, raising an eyebrow at his younger, brunette sister. Worried a little. Confused too. But he didn't show it, his voice was stern. Almost cold.

Delaney sighed and looked down. "Because I was catching up with Michael. I got a lil' sidetracked okay? No biggie." She included and looked back to her brother after. Sighing a second time. "Don't be mad or anythin'. I'm here now, right?" The brunette then included and raised arms up in a surrendering motive for a moment. "Sorry Austin." She then mentioned, Michael looked at her sympathetically. Is this what she really puts up with? Even in her 20's? The Johnson then thought and sighed.

"Shall we go to the station now?" Austin then asked. Delaney nodded and looked to Michael. "Coming?" She then asked with raised eyebrows and he nodded. Following on, he wasn't exactly needed at home now was he? So maybe wondering off with a friend to the police station wouldn't exactly be the most troubling thing in the world ever.

((@Charlotte Ooh okay, no worries of course I'll hold on! & Kinda going to be slow since... well I kinda stuck doing chores and all. x_x))

They sat opposite Austin, exchanged eye contact. Austin and Michael. Outlaw and officer. Man and man. That's how both saw it, and Austin's younger sister. Delaney was in the middle. "Uhh. Guys?" She then asked and raised an eyebrow. Making sure the two were on planet Earth. It was scary like this and she never liked these situations when her brother was like this. "Michael and Austin to planet Earth. D'you copy?" She then asked and sighed. She didn't like this at all.

"Yeah yeah Dee. Hold up." Austin included as he silenced her, she sighed. "So... Michael. How's the business running then?" He then asked with venom in his tongue as if to mock Michael of being an outlaw who sells drinks. Michael raised his hands behind his head and smirked. "It's brilliant, how the dog work doing dear 'bobby'?" The Johnson then asked back with a chuckle after. Causing Austin's glare to harden and nod. "It's good, bringing down the criminal's n' all." He included and shrugged. Before looking to his sheets and files. Then back to Michael and then Delaney. "So Dee, you took a good few to speak to him huh?" He then asked skeptically before the female nodded and smiled a little.

"Yeah-"

"Yeah? Is that all you gotta say?!" He then shouted as he stood up before Michael glared at him. "Austin leave it. I am sorry, it is my fault she got kept back. Just let it be okay?" The Johnson asked and sighed. Patting the shocked Delaney's shoulder. "No need to tense up hun. He won't hurt you." He said reassuringly, Delaney looked at his hand, then to him and smiled. "Alright." She replied gulped after, thinking about it for a moment and noded.

But behind the curtains, you don't know 'im that well. Not as well as I do anyways.

((*Sings the lazy song and poofs here.* Wooo. I missed you! :) ))

It was hard to tell how long they'd all been in here for, taunting, smirking, sighing, blinking, breathing and bothering poor Delaney to her heart's destruction.

"Anyways, I got some business to take care of with my family. Have fun here, dog." Michael included and smirked, getting up and suddenly storming out, before his female friend could call out for him. She sighed. Glaring at her brother with immense bother. "Why? Why?!" She shouted and folded her arms, facing away and getting up herself.

"I did it for you. You shouldn't be hanging out with them, they are bad, insane, deluded." Austin mentioned forcefully and hit the table with his fist. "Don't walk away from me!" He then shouted, his ice cold stare made his sister shiver and sigh. "You just need time, time to see the real Michael, he is one of them, the enemy, they aren't nice." He then mentioned and she rolled her eyes, walking into another room and talking to other officers. Austin walked out another way and rested his head on the wall, near the copy room... which was close to his office. Why is she an idiot?! He thought and sighed.

Michael on the other hand had is hands in his pockets, his head low and a smile on his face. Proud for again, sticking up for himself against Austin and winning. In his mind anyways. Looking about occasionally as he trotted slowly. Stupid, stupid! His mind shouted as his eyebrows furrowed. Not amused by this at all, after that, he felt a little enraged. Enough to punch Austin in the face but at the cost of losing a dear friend, not a chance.

And he wouldn't want the news spreading to family, Kaiden and Leonore either if that was the case.

Michael smiled back as he felt the soft stroke of Leo's hand against his arm, it lightly tickled him so he bit his lip, then as her hand reached up to his collar, he went along with it and held her as she stood on her toes to kiss him. He felt the fire burn inside him once their lips touch, he felt the need and his heart pounded. He felt her arms around his neck as he still held the bear in hand. Though it was cute how she tiptoed and he mentally chuckled.

He also suddenly felt a hand gently brush the back of his neck, assuming it was also hers, he grinned as he felt traced circles over his skin. Chuckling himself as he heard her make a small sound, taking a breath as her lips parted, taking this opportunity to catch his own breath too, his heart was pounding to escape his chest.

Holding the hand against his face as he watched how she was still on her toes, mentioning how she'd been waiting a long time to kiss him, he chuckled and sighed. "I felt the same way." He admitted and squeezed her hand gently. This was amazing. He was really glad to see her again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Austin nodded and sighed, watching as even though Wren had picked up all the papers.. more were still falling everywhere. Then there was a rattling noise and he raised eyebrow. He read the message on the printer and laughed as it ran out of paper. He sighed, finally it was empty and they could stop worrying about it. He looked about himself and saw the same mess Wren saw and facepalmed. But he still watched as the girl picked up the papers around since the imbecile of a custodian wouldn't do it. "You don't have to pick it up, I'll get Delaney to." He mentioned and assumed she knew who his sister was, since most did anyways. Though she was still with the other officers talking and laughing, something she can't do around him often, which bothered him a lot.

Though he sighed. Maybe he could get someone to speak to her, knock some sense into her or something... he hated when she acted like this... because of people like Michael... even though she could be friends with whoever she waned to. He didn't like her having bad influences in life sometimes... it worried him and wondered if their father would ever look down at them in disgust.

Though suddenly Austin snapped out of his thoughts and looked to her, raising an eyebrow as she suggested a drink, go and get a coffee. He bent down to pick up some papers himself to at least look helpful if she didn't take the offer from before and saying it was her treat. It was considerate but was it a good idea? He might as well give it a go and nodded. "Alright then." He included and put on a weak smile. Times were tough and maybe he needed the relaxation and maybe this would work out. Then he looked to her, she was attractive... he would admit that.

But he was distracted as soon as a cop went by. Austin waved an arm and walked up to them. "Tell Dee that I'm going out yeah?" He then asked with a raised eyebrow, the cop nodded and walked off, entering the room that his sister was in and talking to her, she smiled to him and nodded. Austin watched and sighed out of relief before looking to Wren again.

*Poofs in from nowhere.*
Michael smiled at Leo as she placed another kiss upon his lips. He loved her, she was beautiful and a girl he settled down for easily. He blinked as he held her close, he felt their passion, their need, their love. His heart was beating loudly, well not to loud but loud enough he could feel it pounding in his chest. He felt her hand through his hair, he was never like this... all he was before was a player with a bed. Now... he was a man with his girl, he felt her hand sliding against the base of his neck, he felt warm... and red. He held her close and loved every minute of it.

Leonore was everything he could of wished for, shame he didn't realize it earlier. He blinked as he just held her, he was proud to have her. He had no shame at all about being with her and well, she meant the universe to him. He loved her, he was in love with her and it was a hole he was willing to stay in for ever and ever.

Blinking as their lips parted, he blinked, scrunching up his face as she kissed his nose and giggled. Her arms back around the back of his neck and noticed how she went back on her feet, the height difference was that immence as he watched her speak, still holding the bear in arms. He chuckled as she said she didn't know whether he liked it or not and it was pretty much a wild card. "I don't like it silly, I love it." He admitted as he kissed the top of her forehead as that lit up her face.

He was glad that mad her happy too, he saw how beautiful she was and stared back at her, his head tilting slightly a he blinked, he couldn't keep his eyes off her. That was how much of a pretty little thing she was in his eyes as he felt the gentle, loving squeeze of hers on his shoulders.

Austin watched as Wren picked up the remaining papers, Delaney wasn't that much of a rebel and did most of what she was told but she did have a back lash to her, something he hated a lot about his dear sister. He watched as Wren did a lot of the work and watched her, she was pretty. He couldn't lie about that and would admit if he could, that he was shocked he had accepted the other. Normally his work forced him to reject but this time... that wasn't the case.

After telling her, she nodded as he hugged her randomly, thanking her for understanding. "G-uh..." Delaney muttered as she hugged her brother back and went to tidy up his desk to find things. Wallet, check... keys, check... papers... tidy. He mentally checklisted as he looked around the place... it was tidier than... usual. He chuckled and git his own coat. A trench jacket safe to say. Kept all his belongings safe in the least. He watched his sister some more and sighed.

Suddenly snapping out of it as he went back out again to meet Wren, smiling as he tugged onto his jacket. He nodded. "Yep, you?" He then asked back. If there was an issue. He had his sister... and sadly Michael too. He sighed at that suddenly.
