"Oh, thank you! You didn't have to go through all that trouble. This is a really pretty color, and it's so soft too. How do you do it?"Aliyah let out a small smile when she saw Evangeline rubbing the blanket against her face. Nodding in acknowledgement to Kaine's greeting she turned to the white-haired girl once again and replied, "It's not a problem. "I'm glad you liked it. It's just easy, I can teach you how to weave blankets if you like," the brown-haired girl offered. She's always ready to help those who are interested to learn how to weave and learn more than what they know.
If there is one thing that Athena is particularly obsessed with, it will be crafting and weaving different dresses. At first, such knowledge was easily deemed useless for a Quasigod like her. People like her was not made for niceties like this one. However as she grew up and got more clumsy than ever, tripping at nothing in particular, such talent on sewing and weaving dresses or any other related materials had became a gift and a necessity for her. She prides herself on her skills in this particular specialization of art. Not only it is useful for her oddities, it also never fails to bring a smile at Aliyah's face whenever she sees other people appreciating her creations.
"Wow, guys. I don't think I've seen this many of us together for a while! I've missed seeing you all." Evangeline stated moments later, stepping back and staring at each one of them. Rayne then also replied not soon after,
"We haven't been together for a long time." Aliyah almost let out a snort when she heard the Quasigod of Aphrodite' s idealistic and unknowing words. Of course, the only time they have been together was because of either for the usual missions or the major changes Kronos wanted to implement to its soldiers.
"I wonder if this gathering means something. I certainly didn't plan to be here," she added chuckling and this time the brown-haired shorter girl can't help raising an eyebrow in curiosity. Of course, for them Quasigods, meetings like this planned or not will raise some kind of suspicions to the higher ups. It was normal, seeing as everyone of them can definitely overthrow the control Cray Fellar had to everything.
When her eyes met with Rayne's amethyst-colored irises, she waited for the older woman's next words.
"That is so nice. It's quite beautiful too." She gestured to the blankets in Evangeline's hand and the brown-haired younger girl's lips curved into a small smile, settling into a respectful air. It wasn't like she hated/disliked Rayne Rose. Like how she treats the other persons, especially if she doesn't feel an attachment or connection to them, Aliyah acts as respectfully detached as she could. Aliyah nodded and decided to reply just in case Aphrodite might get offended if she doesn't get any response, "Thank you."
"I see you still like making blankets Aliyah? They're beautiful as ever." Kaine stated not long after. Aliyah instinctively smiled once again and replied, "I am. I'm glad to hear that." She then looked at the approaching Quasigod of Apollo and gave another nod of acknowledgement at his words.
Polite speech and respectfulness, if there is one thing Aliyah is good at, those were the traits she have thoroughly mastered by now. To be as emotionally detached and yet be courteous as one could be, Aliyah knows all the rules to be able to execute perfect reactions like these.
In all honesty, among their group, there are only a few number of people that she can consider her friends, Artemis for example and Zeus. Other than that, the relationship between the people next on the list of Quasigods only usually blurs between professionalism and semi-friendship. It was because of that, that 'reunions' like these is not Athena's cup of tea. She had only decided to drop by the bakery to give Evangeline the blankets but it seemed like fate had planned something else.
Though these people are technically her brothers and sisters, still she cannot with certainty declare that she knew them well. It wasn't lack of trust or anything, because even at the beginning, Aliyah knew full well enough that she must not absolutely trust others without deliberate care and concern for the things around. It has something to do with the others Quasigod's alliance. She concluded that in order to avoid conflict and unnecessary dramas later on, she will critically analyze where the other genetic clones's trust and will lies.
"The family keeps growing, huh?" She noticed Rayne speaking and she was half-tempted to roll her eyes at the statement. The 'family' growing as what Aphrodite calls it, might just be the moment when Kronos would decide to clone more Quasigods like them. Lightly scolding herself from her internal rudeness to Rayne, she felt compelled to add, "I guess you're right..." Whatever will happen to this day or the next days after, Aliyah is certain that the wheels of fate had already started turning and the government, the rebels and the Quasigods will be the people who will deeply be involved in that game.
