Ara is a Stripe. By living with the Revolution, he is foregoing his solitary nature in favor of helping end the human's tight control. He has great physical strength and grace, and he can run faster and longer than just about anyone. He can manipulate water and ice and has heightened senses. He also has the ability to force people to tell the truth, although he rarely uses it.
Description:
Ara is actually fairly tall for a Stripe, measuring at 6'1". He has curly brown hair that he keeps just long enough to show the curl, and thick, dark eyebrows frame his brown eyes. His skin is tan. He has a long nose, full lips, and a slim, athletic build.
Personality:
Ara is a man of few words. Although quiet and introspective, he can make his opinions known with just a look. He is extremely introverted and needs a lot of time alone to recharge after a social encounter. Growing up around so many people, he grew used to being around others, unlike most Stripes. Although he prefers to be alone, he can tolerate any number of people for at least a little while. He is naturally distrusting of strangers, but once someone has earned his allegiance, he is fiercely loyal. As such, betrayal comes at a particular shock to him, as he cannot imagine committing the act himself. He can be surly, distant, and excessively formal, but he can also be charming and dynamic when he wants to be. Overall, Ara is a mystery that not many people can solve.
Familiar Personality:
Eddie is a grumpy and stubborn bengal tiger. He only really likes Ara, and he merely tolerates others. Sometimes, that is. He is fiercely protective of Ara. His emotions change quite quickly, but Ara is usually able to calm him.
Likes:
Like may not be the right word, but his family at the convent is very dear to him, especially his de facto mother, Lusine. Eddie is his best friend. Sometimes all he needs is some time alone and a good run.
Dislikes:
Ara is not a fan of large crowds or unruly people. He distrusts those who won't follow the orders of the leaders they've chosen to follow. Inequality of humans and mutants is one of his biggest issues, and he hates being away from Edgar for any amount of time. He thinks vanity is a big weakness.

History:
Ara has had a strange life. Abandoned in a forest as a child, he and Eddie were discovered by a nun, who brought them back to her convent. He was raised in secret by the humans who ran the convent, especially by the woman who found him, Lusine Davtyan. The convent held no specific religion. Instead, it was built to champion peace and enlightenment between humans and Others. Despite this, revealing that they had taken in a Stripe child and his familiar would bring trouble and violence to the convent. Thus, he did not leave the convent and its attached grounds for 15 years. When he finally did sneak out as a teenager, he was met with hostility that all the horror stories the monks and nuns had told him had not truly prepared him for. It was then that he saw what they were fighting for. He joined the Revolution at the age of 17, after the convent was attacked by a group of violent extremists, the leader of which had discovered Ara's existence. While none in the convent were killed, Ara himself barely escaped with his life. He left the only family he'd ever known to join the cause, and he eventually became the Revolution leader's right hand.
