Personality:
Cadence's always been odd. She has aura that makes you feel like you'll like her, but she's also way too erratic and hard to predict to really want to get to know. You might think of her as one of those kinds of people that it's best to just admire from a distance and let her do her own thing. She's kooky, she's weird, and she likes weirding people out with how weird she is, often saying random things purely for shock value. Despite being an adult, Cadence is very immature, often acting like a child at times when she really shouldn't be. However, this isn't all bad - Cadence enjoys talking and if you can handle her random outbursts, you'll find a girl that's very expressive, very friendly, and also very loyal.

"Try your best to live a life with no regrets, and aim forward!"

Career: Singer for a local band
Hobbies:-Music
-Drawing
-Surfing the web
Biographic History:
Cadence's abilities were known to the Dragonflies at a very young age, in her infancy. Even as a newborn she could bring about vivid hallucinations to anyone who looked into her eyes. As such, when Dragonfly heard of her abilities, her death was faked and she was whisked away as an infant to grow up within the facility.

Cadence was a natural, even early on. Her ability was powerful when successfully performed, and she adjusted to the life of training and conditioning very easily, without ever wanting a family. For her, her fellow dragonflies was all the companionship she needed, even when it was discovered that the girl inherited a mental condition from her mother that essentially had her undergo psychotic attacks suddenly and with no warning, a total break from reality, believing in wild delusions and other flights of fantasy. Even with medication they found that Cadence continued to suffer every once in a while. If it wasn't for her compliance, skill with people, and of course her power, it would've been likely that she were disposed of as a faulty product.

Upon graduating at the age of 14, Cadence was picked up by a band in her city that thought she had what it took to be their lead vocalist. They trained her to sing and to dance and slowly, Cadence learned how to excel at both of those, finding something other than combat that she could find pride in. Though, of course, no matter how much she enjoyed performing with the Black Bats, Cadence knows full well that her real home is as a Dragonfly.

"Talents make you special, they define your own self worth!"

Power Description:Cadence has a very peculiar ability to make people she has eye contact with to have severe, debilitating hallucinations. Once she has you in her sight and you respond in kind, she can force you to see, feel, and hear whatever she wants you to. She could force you to confront your worst nightmares, or maybe make you hear your loves ones screaming in pain. She can also make happy hallucinations, however, with cake and candles and small fluffy animals. It's a very versatile power that Cadence enjoys using to the fullest extent. Most of her victims barely remember her as well, due to how extreme and overwhelming the hallucinations are. The best anyone can guess is that they see a certain girl in pink before succumbing.
Power Weaknesses:Due to requiring eye contact, Cadence's power is rather difficult to pull off successfully, meaning she has to get in position for it to work reliably. It also gives Cadence severe drawbacks the more she uses it. She suffers from headaches, mental and physical fatigue, nausea, extreme pain, and finally, a full on psychotic breakdown. She can also only actively target a small amount of people at a time. Lastly, Cadence's power slowly eats away at her lifespan.
Notable Skills/Abilities:
Speed
Agility
Memory
Deception
Tactical Awareness
Song/Dance
Charm
Seduction

It was a quiet Saturday morning, more like time for lunch but since Vincent had not felt like getting out of bed when he woke up the first time he was still in there. It was not because he was tired, it was more like his whole body was protesting so he was not that urged to move. He felt a bit bruised, most likely because he had got a bit beaten up at yesterday’s mission. Still there was no bruise to be found on his body, it was only a play of his mind - since he was aware of the fact that he had gotten extreme amounts of metal in him. The part that was the worst was getting them out of the healed wounds however, because that was not something the body did by itself and sometimes the projectiles do get stuck in there. The operations to get them out was not something Vincent would recommend to anyone. It was mostly ripping the metal out of his body before the opening had closed up again. And now he felt exhausted after spending the first hours of the night on the operation table.

But after a couple of more moments of hiding his face in the softness of the pillow he crawled out of bed like a sloth. When he was done stretching out his stiff body, waking up the somewhat completely naked body before he even consider dressing himself. But hey, it was his room and no one was allowed to enter it like he avoided to enter the other rooms as well.

As the body started to loosen up he stepped over to his closet and started to dress up. But the only thing he actually put on was his usually black jeans while he only took out a white t-shirt and the leather jacket so he could carry them with him out of the room. Sure they shared a big house, these so called "siblings", but no there wasn't bathrooms attached to every room and that was why Vincent walked around bare chested inside the house without even the slightest shame.

It wasn't a long way from his room to one of the bathrooms and when he was inside he took that much needed shower before dressing up completely. As he left the room he couldn't help but notice that someone had tampered with the decor so as he walked pass it he fixed it. It had to look like it usually did, no exception. When done he went down the stairs and even if there was people around the house he didn't bother with greeting them, like the nice and friendly person he was. He just walked inside the living room over to the bookshelf and started to inspect the content. Controlling that it still was the way he had left them before going away on the mission, this was not his books it was those the whole family shared. Or you could call it a cover and things the organization had left them so that they had things to play around with when they weren't working. But in Vincent’s mind all of these was his and his only. No one could screw up his order, he had made it all so pretty.

But he had no intention to read anything this day, just check that Flynn hadn’t been there touching Vincent’s books. No, he had something else to do today. Gardening. The garden had looked dreadful yesterday when they came home, at least in Vincent’s opinion. Other than that Vincent also believed that he had been indoors for too long by now - in his opinion. As long as it wasn't too sunny outside he preferred to be outdoors anyway, more space between him and the other's then. More space for him to be alone in. Inside the house it was almost impossible not to have people breathing down his neck if not being locked up inside his personal room, which wasn’t too fun after a while.

As he walked out through the door he glanced slightly upwards, a cloudy day. A perfect day. He walked over to the shed to collect the things he needed before he crouched down beside his favorite flowerbed, the one with the reddest roses of them all, and started to work.

❝You should never believe the lies they all feed you!❞

Yeah, Cadence still hadn't returned home last night. After the mission she decided she was bored and wanted to hang out with the guitarist of her band, Yoko Harumi. So, naturally, Cadence snuck away before anyone noticed! Yoko was always a big sister to her, always being super awesome and nice and everything! As the only two girls of the band, they really bonded well! Heck, maybe Caddy was a little into her, too! But, well, that was silly, wasn't it? It was super silly, right? How could Yoko ever feel the same about her, just thinking about it makes her feel giddy!

"It's already noon, Caddy." Yoko said as the two strolled down the street, long black hair swishing with each step. Caddy felt really small and short next to her, Yoko was tall and really pretty and fit and awesome in every way! And Caddy would make absolutely sure that no one ever tried to steal Yoko from her, definitely! No one's allowed to get close, Yoko will be safe from all the men that oggled her! Cadence remembered once when Yoko had a stalker, and well, it was very fun dealing with him. Just remembering catching the stalker and giving him the most horrifying of hallucinations was one of the funnest things in her life, yes it was! If the mental trauma was enough, the creep would still believe his manhood was severed and be unable to ever see the light of day again! How wonderful, how awesome! "Shouldn't you head back home to your family? They're probably worried about you, you silly girl!"

Caddy's cheeks burned red and butterflies flopped around in her belly. She felt restless, uneasy, as if she didn't know how to handle it. It was like being a little girl! "Um, y-yeah! Ahaha... totally!" Cadence shrugged, the pair of girls wandering aimlessly through the city. "But I like spending time with you, Yoko, you're my favorite person! You're the best!" A sudden doubt, a sudden thought popped into the girl's mind and she turned to face the girl she loved, fidgety and awkwardly. "That's not weird or creepy, right? Right? Yoko's okay with us being best friends for longer than forever, right?"

The response was a pat on the head and a fond little smile. "It's things like this that make you endearing, Caddy!" Yoko said with a giggle, hugging the smaller girl tight. "You're so cute! I never want to let go of you! But..." Then the taller girl's face turned serious. "But you should still head back home. Vincent might yell at you for staying out all night!" To that Caddy whined and griped but Yoko was firm. "Plus, I should be heading home pretty soon. Gotta get to the hospital for my infusion."

That was another reason why Caddy wanted to protect Yoko forever and always. It was a secret from the rest of the band, but Yoko had some illness that meant she couldn't eat certain foods and that she was always in pain in her intestines, or something. The name escaped Cadence for the moment but she knew, she knew, and thinking about Yoko being in pain made Caddy want to cry. Why couldn't she take on the pain for her? Actually, couldn't she take the pain away completely? Sure, it'd cost a lot of her lifespan to maintain forever but Caddy was willing to do it! Her eyes seemed to glow as she considered how happy and thankful Yoko would be if Caddy made her hallucinate that she no longer felt pain at all!

But wait, wasn't she supposed to keep her skill a secret? Caddy groaned heavily, sad again. She really wanted to take Yoko's pain away, but she probably wasn't allowed. How dumb, how lame! "I'll miss you! Let's hang out again soon!"

Caddy understood what it was like to be in constant pain, after all. In the past she overused her abilities and now, well... every so often she felt a stabbing pain in the gut that was completely incapacitating. What did Dani say again? How much time did she have left? Ten years? Caddy frowned, she didn't remember, even as she waved goodbye to her best friend. She didn't like thinking about it dying - but it was going to happen one day, wasn't it? Caddy grumbled as she walked back to the house the Dragonflies assigned her to. Her room was in the back, and there was a tree that led to her window. If she just came through the front, it'd be way too easy. Buuut if she snuck in the back she could pretend she was there the whole time! Yeah!

So Caddy circled around the back of the house, humming a little tune to herself - and then the absolute worst case scenario happened. Vincent was there, tending to his garden again. Now, that's not to say Caddy didn't like him, but... he was always so good at reminding her to do her chores! "Ah, ah, I - I have to dust my room!" Caddy yelped, a shrill squeak and quickly scampered up the tree and jumped through the window, landing happily on her bed before the mean man could say anything. Mission Accomplished!

And before she remembered that she should at least make an effort to dust her room, Caddy dashed over to Olsen's room, wanting to play and goof off with him. "Olsen, Olsen, let's play something! Or I'll cut myself and bleed on your bed, okay?"

It had been a long night for Olsen. It wasn’t necessarily because of the mission though, that had hardly required any of his skills. It had been the after that had made it a long night. He was currently sitting in front of one of the many monitors in his room, tapping away at the keys and scrolling through the vast length of a program he had been writing. During the mission the previous night he had an epiphany on why the artificial intelligence program wasn’t ‘learning’ when it interacted with outside stimuli. It continued to make the same social mistakes over and over again. He had been doing a lot of studying in AI programming and one of the most crucial parts of the program was this learning segment.

He had spent the last nine hours reworking his program, writing new segments, debugging, and finally running it. Two of the nine hours was spent talking to the program, seeing if it was learning the way he had intended, and was thrilled with the results. At the moment he was currently finishing up display codes and visual animation, that much was just busy work though. He didn’t even have to think as he typed the necessary commands to create interactive display.

The man leaned back in his chair and stretched his arms above his head. His back and shoulders popped away the stiffness and it was a satisfying sound. As he leaned in his chair he turned his head to like in the mirror to his right. He definitely looked like he hadn’t slept in over twenty-four hours, his blonde hair was sticking up wildly in all directions and he had dark circles under blood shot eyes from staring at a monitor for such a long period of time. Looking at his eyes made him suddenly self-conscious and he rubbed at them as if it would erase the tiredness.

Olsen returned his attention back to the monitor, staring his finished program in the face, a suddenly feeling of apprehension taking over. He had spent so long on this project, and he had coded everything from scratch. The man knew that you could buy things like voice-to-text converter programs and templates adaption coding, but he had wanted to see if he could do it all himself. It all came down to this moment though, his finger hovered dramatically over the enter key as a text window asked him if he’d like to run his program. Holding his breath the man pressed enter and watched as a window loaded on his screen. Then suddenly a pixilated and simple neon green smiley face appeared in the window. It blinked before speaking,

“Hello, my name is Aie. What’s your name?”
It spoke in a distinctly female, yet computerized voice. Olsen felt a huge grin spread across his tired features and he punched the air in success, letting out a whoop of victory.

“I can hear you celebrating, but I’d really like to know your name.” The man couldn’t help himself and let out a short laugh before looking back at the screen, his mic sitting on the table next to the monitor and he leaned in towards it.

“Sorry Aie, right I’m Olsen, it’s nice to meet you.” Aie’s simple display stared blankly ahead for a moment, blinking once before continuing.

“Olsen. Well Olsen, I hope we can get along.” The man was already getting out of the chair when she spoke, stripping out of his clothing from yesterday and into a pair of black sweatpants and a loose green t-shirt. He made sure the dirty clothing made their way into his hamper and he walked over to the light switch. The man took a moment to look around his room. It was extremely organized down to the position of the papers on his desk and the direction his game console controllers were facing. He had one big flat screen t.v. dedicated to playing video games by himself and the rest of the family, but he also had several other monitors scattered about that ended up taking up most of the space in the room. The only things that weren’t electronic were the bed, the closet and the tables some of the computers rested on. He felt himself yawn as he flipped the switch off.

“Aie, I’m going to try and get some sleep, mind waking me at noon?’ He moved to his bed, flopping down on top of puffy comforter and inhaling the scent of fresh laundry, he had just washed the sheets the day before and loved the smell of the softener.

“Ok, but in the future you should try sleeping during the night.” Olsen didn’t even address the sassy comment, though he was happy that the AI seemed to be developing personality on her own, even if it was kind of rude. He could feel the softness of his bed coasting him to sleep when he was suddenly interrupted.

"Olsen, Olsen, let's play something! Or I'll cut myself and bleed on your bed, okay?" Cadence bursting into his room scared him so much he fell out of his bed, hitting the floor with a loud thud. He let out a soft groan as he pulled himself off the floor. Normally he’d love seeing Cadence, but he was particularly tired at the moment. Still he felt himself smirk as he lunged forward and locked the smaller girl in a headlock as punishment for barging in.

“Cadey! You come into my home and threaten to bleed on my bed?!? You do that and I will pay Vinni to beat you up.” Olsen knew he couldn’t do anything to many of the other members of the team as he was not physically capable in the least, and he doubted he could actually make Vincent do anything. But behind every good threat there has to be an even greater bluff.

As Flynn was waiting on a response from the youngest member of the family he happened to glance down at his watch, noticing how late it was. According to himself. He looked a bit more carefully this time in a flustered manor while wondering if this would annoy HQ. They had told him to get the report in as fast as possible, but by now it surely seemed like he was dragging out on it. Perhaps like he was being lazy even! And that was something he were not.

"Oh, look how the time flies by," He gave the girl a short smile before continuing, "I need to get going. But don't think that this means that you are of the hook, child. I will keep an eye on you and see to it that you do your chores as well." And now to the important things, the report. He needed to send them the report. Oh, right, there was one other thing he needed to address as well. He turned around towards Iris one more time just as he was about to walk through the doorway, "Oh and Iris, there is one more thing. There is another young lady, you know who, that hasn't done her chores as well. Could you please inform her of that? I'm about to be very displeased with her. This is a household and I expect everyone to do what they are asked. But right now I'm a bit too busy to play catch with her, you're friends right? You probably know where she usually hides."

When he was done he gave her a quick nod goodbye before heading towards the stairs, once on the upper floor he went through the hallway towards Olsens room. Gave the door a small knock to get his attention, because Flynn doubted he would be out at the moment. He would be very surprised if that was the case. As he was waiting to be let inside he gave the hallway a quick look over, making the conclusion that it probably needed to be cleaned. He could probably handle that by himself later.

❝You should never believe the lies they all feed you!❞

Contrary to the usual Olsen, this time he seemed very tired and stuff, when he was usually energetic and whatever. Caddy wanted to poke him with a stick to see if maybe that would convince him to get moving, or she could just slice her arm and let it drop on the bed as promised. That was fun, right? She felt like hopping, yes, that would be super fun! Caddy giggled and pulled the knife out of her pocket when all of a sudden she was overpowered by her good friend Olly Olsen, rubbing his knuckles on her head and making her giggle and squeal and squirm.

“Cadey! You come into my home and threaten to bleed on my bed?!? You do that and I will pay Vinni to beat you up.” Olsen warned and Caddy suddenly stiffened. Vinni was so... so.... well, Caddy definitely loved him, yes she did, they were family, but he made her feel weird and not a good weird but a very bad weird because it made her do chores and that was dumb and superdumb! No way, she didn't like that, not one bit! There are always funner things to do than chores, even if Daddy Flynn yelled at her about it!

"Gwaah!" Caddy wriggled out of Olly Olsen's grip, sticking her tongue out at him playfully. "I'm sorry, Caddy's sorry, you poop! It was only a joke! I'll bite your piercings!" She waggled her fingers teasingly at him, stepping to the door, deciding he probably would be more fun later. "Have fun with your sexbot project!" With an evil cackle the insane girl hopped and skipped out of Olly Olsen's room, wandering aimlessly down the halls to find something, anything to distract her from doing her chores because, seriously, chores are dumb and lame! Who needs them, anyways! Blaaah!

Then she saw Percy on the table, slumped over, apparently asleep. A wild gleam was in the girl's eyes and she crept up behind her, hardly containing her mirth. With a wicked expression she dug her hands into Percy's side, tickling her, tickling her with no mercy at all, laughing maniacally before jumping up on the back of the chair, sending it careening backwards onto the floor.

"Percy! Percy!" Cadence giggled, a happy expression. "Stop being so silly and play with me, okay? Okay? I'm here now, let's go and have fun! Let's run away and tell random strangers on the - Ooooh! Oooh!" Her eyes lit up, almost glowing in delight. With a conspiratorial wink she leaned in to whisper. "Let's tell Vinni that we're pregnant!"

”Bon Matin.”

Iris rolled her head back quickly to catch a glimpse of Edward, before the older boy ventured off to the kitchen. Of course the girl didn’t entirely grasp what the phrase had meant – only able to at least guess that it was foreign and likely French possibly – and so merely give a curious look and shook her head. ”I’ll ask him what it means when I get the chance,” she confirmed to herself with a nod, promptly unwrapping the end of her chocolate bar and readying herself for a bite. At least, that was the plan until hearing another voice…

“Well, if it isn't Iris. I see that you have some free time to watch…” Flynn spoke once clearing his throat and gaining her attention, and then continued on for a few minutes longer before the girl had a chance to speak up. ”Ah—My room hasn’t been a complete mess, Papa.” she corrected him somewhat, brows dropping and a pout forming against her features. It was needless to say that Iris did not appreciate being told off – especially for something as disinteresting as chores. Of all things, chores! When the old man spoke up once more the girl simply offered a knowing look, as if challenging Papa to see how true his words rang. ”I know, I know… You ought to make sure the bigger ones do their chores too, you know.”

Despite a calm tone on the outside, deep down Iris contemplated rebelling at that moment. But just as easily changed her mind when it seemed like the old man was finally on his way out the room – but then turned around again, informing Iris that she wasn’t the only one avoiding her chores and that a certain you-know-who should be told of such. Of course Iris knew the person in question, giving a nod to the man before slowly sliding off her seat. ”Uh-huh, got it. I’ll be sure to let her know… when I see her.” She quietly added on at the end, giving a tiny grin that only herself was privy to and then hurrying off for the kitchen to see who was about.

As expected Edward was already there with his book, Persephone seemingly asleep at the other end of the table. When thinking it over in her head, Iris decided that she didn’t want to disturb the girl just yet; not for the sake of delivering Papa’s lousy message at least – that could wait a few minutes. Instead the white-haired youth wandered over to beside Edward, setting a hand against his arm as she leaned on her tiptoes to peer at his textbook. ”Bon…Ma-tin?” She unsurely spoke and raised an eyebrow, wondering what it was she had said, let alone as to what it meant.

His book was filled was similar strange phrases and whatnot’s, and Iris wouldn’t even attempt to begin to pronounce them all. ”What are you reading?” She asked, being an avid reader herself Iris would read just about anything of interest, so long as it wasn’t school-related. ”All those words look funny and weird; it’s fancy gobbledygook to me--”

Shortly after another figure had entered the kitchen, Cadence, who proceeded to waltz over to the slumbering Persephone and tickle the unsuspecting girl senseless – and then sent the chair toppling over for good measure shortly after. With a subtle flinch Iris was quick to calm herself, shooting a look over to the pink-haired girl. ”You know Papa’s going to lose the plot if you wreck his kitchen… and then I’ll probably be the one who has to tidy it all,” she sighed to herself, before finally taking a bite of her chocolate at long last. ”On top of cleaning my room too – pfft.”

Iris couldn’t tell if she was scolding the older girl or not, or whether defending Papa’s kitchen for reasons unbeknownst to her was really worth it. Regardless of either way she then looked to Persephone and wondered if the other girl was actually alright, and if she was up to handling another lecture from Flynn...

Olsen: #1eb8b8 Aie: #57c56f

"I'm sorry, Caddy's sorry, you poop! It was only a joke! I'll bite your piercings, Have fun with your sexbot project!" As Caddy squirmed out of his grip Olsen almost went to chase after her, but as he pushed himself up the tiredness that had almost been successful in seducing him to sleep came back in full force. When had been the last time he had slept? Two days ago maybe? He had long passed the hyper-active stage of sleep deprivation and coffee only aided in keeping him awake rather than waking him up, and those were two very different things. He wasn’t phased by the girl’s comment about Aie being a sexbot as he had learned long ago that the girl rarely meant harm with her words. Anything she said that sounded overly offense generally wasn’t meant to be that way. Plus, with the moment of people Olsen successfully seduced for a lay the statement was entirely probable... or would it be unprobable with the success of his sex life?

“You plan to insert my programming into a sexbot?” The AI system suddenly spoke just as Olsen was moving towards his bed, and the sudden noise caused him to jump. When a program asked about being turned into a sexbot it seemed a lot more awkward, he mentally cursed Cadence and hoped she felt his wrath from where ever it was she ran off too. “I will begin looking into databases with sexual phrases and lingo to suit your needs.”

“For the love of god Aie, do not, I’m too tired to deal with this.” He hurled his body onto his bed, the bedsprings groaned bitterly under his weight. Still, Olsen decided right then that beds were probably god’s greatest creation, the plush comforter enveloped his body in a protective and warm embrace, his face sunk into an overly fluffy pillow that felt like it had been crafted by angels with a cloud as materials, truly a masterpiece that scholars would note in the histories of the world. Olsen’s bed, best bed there ever was. The sleep deprivation was really getting to him. He was right there, right on the edge of unconsciousness when Aie’s electronic voice cut through the silence and for the second time in twenty minutes Olsen fell out of his bed with a loud thud.

“Yo bitch your trick is at the door.” Olsen stared at his computer for a moment in confusion, what kind of backwards sites was Aie digging in for her socialization now? Clearly it was something bad, and he’d have to limit her search databases. Before he got to the door he turned towards the neon green smiley, “Aie you are not my pimp, that’s not even how a sexbot would talk. Try again with something more creative next time if you want to get a rise out of me.”

He turned towards the door, running a hand through his hair, regretting the all nighter he had pulled to finish an AI that had more attitude than he was willing to deal with at the moment. He rubbed his eyes and fixed his expression before opening the door with a wide gesture, a big smile on his face. Flynn was standing there and Olsen should have known, they had just finished a mission Flynn had paperwork for him to type. Still though, he could keep up pleasantries even if he were exhausted.

“Hey Old Man! What brings you around these parts?” He moved to the side to allow the older man to entire. His room was completely in order, as usual, except for the comforter which he had taken with him when he had fallen out of the bed. He pulled one of his rolling chairs out and slung a leg over so he was sitting with his chest pressed against the back and his arms folded overtop. “What d’ya got for me?”

❝Our enemy is the light of humanity, we are forced to exterminate ourselves.❞

Persephone had been dreaming of things she didn't understand. It had begun with a book, pages flickering from one end to another, illustrious illustrations making her eyes sparkle with wonder like a little girl. The page stopped and she fell through like Alice in the Wonderland, down, down, scenes of a life she had never lived, what could have been if she had never been born with this curse, on either side of her. Just when Persephone had landed, she awoke, something touched her sides. She screamed, a forced laugh coming from her throat as a little pink haired figure attacked her from either side. "S-stop that!" There were tears in her eyes as she held either side of her. For good measure, Cadence jumped onto the seat, careening them both backwards and sending them clattering to the ground.

Cadence was full of energy whereas Persephone had just awoken from a sleepless night. She rubbed her eyes, green orbs blinking, unfocused, slowly come back in to a point where she could see. For a moment, Cadence had three heads and when Persephone blinked, they were gone. Good, it wasn't a hallucination, just a trick of the eyes. "I guess we could," She stood, pulling her blonde hair into a messy topknot so that it would stay out of her face. It was the color of blonde most children grew out of by their fifth or sixth year. For Persephone it had stayed, getting even lighter in the summer but never darkening to brown or black. Then again, most kids didn't have weird abilities that set them apart from everyone else.

Which one was Vinnie? Persephone tried to think, there were so many children in the house it was often hard to keep track of them all. "Oh, Vincent." Persephone got to her feet, the scars and cuts from her morning run hidden by blue socks with white clouds dotted across them. "We've gotta make it authentic." Persephone winked, "I know how to falsify a pregnancy test." She went to the bathroom, coming back with two pregnancy tests they kept around for who knows what reason.

"Le corps est dans le coffre."

Edward was having some trouble with a certain phrase. Since Edward already learned simple words such as hello or how are you doing, he skipped right to the important phrases that he would learn. Though french proving to be much more a of a challenge than intended. It was a bit more challenging to learn the phrases that would prove useful in everyday life such as the one above. Le corps est dans le coffre, which meant the body is in the trunk was one of the most challenging sentences, maybe it was the sentence structure? Whatever it was it was way harder than Vivre sous le lit se sent belle (living under the bed feels nice.) or Mettez l'argent dans le sac (Put the money in the bag)

As Persephone walked inside the kitchen, Edward greeted her with the same thing he did to Iris, but it seem to have come out of the other ear. As the young girl rested her head on the table and passed out. Edward shrugged it off and looked down to his book before his attention was directed back at the area as he saw a energetic girl, tickle the poor Percy to death. Urging her to play with her and fake pregnancy tests, which seems like two juxtaposing things. Still, Edward felt the need to finish the chapter and learn how to say the phrase, so he kept quiet.

Edward was about to drift to sleep as well, becoming victim to a rude awakening by the group at the table. It seemed he was saved by Iris, who peered over his shoulder. Edward warmly smiled and answered her question. "Well, Mademoiselle. This is the wonderful language of love!. Edward didn't directly answer her question, but saying the language of love sounds way more cooler than just saying French. At this point, it was impossible to concentrate as more and more misfits where taking up the seats. Edward sighed and closed his textbook. Edward mumbled, "I guess learning how to say where the dead body lies can wait." Edward stood up and walked to the kitchen, quickly getting an instant raman cup from the shelf and turning on the hot water dispenser.

❝You should never believe the lies they all feed you!❞

Blatantly ignoring Eddie and Iri for the time being, Caddy had much, much more important things to deal with. She was greatly pleased with Percy's reaction to the tickle attack, that squeal of help, and then being knocked backwards was even funner! Percy was great, much funner than Olly Olsen who didn't seem like he wanted to play at all! Cadence was almost bouncing with nervous energy as Percy got up and - well first she looked slightly confused and Cadence wondered if that was how she seemed when her own brain started konking out - but but regardless, regardless, that was fine. Percy went off to the bathroom after saying the sweetest words: she knew how to get the plus sign on pregnancy tests! That was wonderful, it was perfect! If only everything was this easy, if only she could cure whatever-the-disease-Yoko-had so easily. If Caddy was honest, that still really bothered her, no matter how much she tried to ignore it and distract herself with funness.

"The language of love." Caddy muttered, testing it on her tongue, then she nodded. Yes, that sounded nice, it sounded fun. She wasn't sure exactly what Eddie was doing or talking about, but it sounded cool to say. "Language of love! Mademoiselle!" The pink girl giggled slightly, finding it very entertaining to say. She then glanced at Iris who said something about wrecking a kitchen and about Daddy and blah, she didn't care. "Daddy's boring, he always tells me to do stuff! Iris, we must rebel! We must fight the power and be as lazy as we can! No more dusting! No more doing the dishes! No more laundry! Iris, Iris, we must stay strong! The wacky girl did a little fistpump and then Percy was back from the bathroom, with the prize.

Oh, yes, this was going to be superawesome. "Percy! i love you!" Caddy wrapped her arms around the girl, snuggling tight and close before grabbing her by the wrist, pulling her away to the hallway, to the back door where Vinnie was still doing boring garden stuff like a boring mcboreface. "He's here! Remember, remember, we blame Olly Olsen, okay?"

Then Caddy tore the door open and hopped over to Vinnie with a giant smile on her face, almost sparkling with excitement. "Vinnie, Olsen got Percy and me pregnant!" She wriggled and squirmed in delight as the words exploded from her mouth. "Olsen used the - the language of love on us! Mademoiselle Vincent, he did! We couldn't resist! What do we do? We're totally gonna get so faaaaaat."

Voices? Was this a bad time perhaps? Flynn wasn't sure about what he had heard from behind that door but he was pretty sure he had heard voices, or at least he thought so. He were positive he had heard Olsen speak, but there had been another one as well. One he didn't know if he had heard before. Which felt a bit awkward because if Olsen had company in there Flynn would need to excuse himself and wait for that companion to leave. And well, none of that seemed that interesting at the moment.

But he was curious. So curious that he almost leaned in towards the door and put his ear towards it so he could listen if there was something more to be said. But good thing was that he didn't do that because just some seconds after the idea had entered his head the door flung open, “Hey Old Man! What brings you around these parts?" You always have to seize the opportunity and that was what Flynn did, he glanced around the room as Olsen spoke. Searching after the source to the second voice. But strangely enough he didn't see anything. “What d’ya got for me?”

Back to reality, Flynn stopped scanning the room for visitors and looked directly towards Olsen, "I heard voices, is there someone in there?" If there was he wouldn't be able to ask for help with the first or the second task he needed some help with. He had gotten a notice, there was some documents he needed to be downloaded. Or something like that. Yeah, but he couldn't ask Olsen for something like that if there was someone in the room. Too many secrets inside of those documents.

It was a quiet afternoon, he got to do what he liked to do. He was alone. He enjoyed himself. It was a good afternoon. Until disaster strikes. A rainbow colored and sparkly freaking explosion. At least it felt like one when the pink haired girl opened the backdoor. Vincent only glanced towards her, paying her no attention at first. He only turned his back a little bit more towards the house, trying to shut her out of his zone of interest.

It was easier said than done. It didn't take much time until his whole afternoon was ruined, feeling the presence of her just next to him. It was that slight itchy feeling on his skin, making a shiver go down his spine. The energy level dropped to zero in just a matter of seconds. Even before she had started to speak he had started to consider the option of going back to his room to sleep instead. At least at those times he didn't need to socialize with her at those times.

"Vinnie, Olsen got Percy and me pregnant!"
What? Thrown off guard Vincent looked up at the kid, just to be greeted by two pregnancy tests being shoved in his face. Could this afternoon get worse? Probably not. "Olsen used the - the language of love on us! Mademoiselle Vincent, he did! We couldn't resist! What do we do? We're totally gonna get so faaaaaat."

Mademoiselle? He could only stare at the pack of energy in front of him. He had no idea what he was supposed to answer. Did she really call him Mademoiselle? In the end he grunted out, "Ya nenavizhu tebya tak sil'no. What are you talking about? Pregnant? Just get those things out of my face!" He was about to raise his hand and just hit them out of her hand just to get them away when he realized how you made such a test. Instead he just backed away with a nauseous feeling in his gut. "And don't call me Mademoiselle, ublyudok!"

In the corner of his eye Elliott noticed another figure moving in his store, well if it wasn't the lost princess. Late again. Sleeping beauty? Yeah probably. But he wasn't mad, he couldn't stay mad at her when she helped him so much. She usually kept him company when there wasn't any customers as well. He couldn't stay mad for long so before he went through the beads again he glanced towards Mirabelle, "Do you want some tea as well, Mirabelle?"

He didn't wait for an answer however, he just passed through the beads. Letting them make their little clatter noise and then went directly towards the kitchen part. There he started to prepare the tray with the kettle and three cups.

"Well, I’m through with Sci-fi for the week. I’m feeling kind of adventurous. Got any good fantasy?" Fantasy, yeah he had a lot of that. Somewhere. Once more he passed through the beads and put the tray on the small side table with the two armchairs. Yeah, he went all in for this cozy old library feeling inside his store. The whole store was covered in dark wood shelves as well. He loved it!

Once he was done he walked around a bit more and picked out some books, not sure if he had handed those to Alex before or not. But he put them on the side table as well, five of them, "These are great! I can pick out something else in case you already has read them." By now he had already placed himself on the office chair behind the counter and rolled it over to the armchairs so he could prepare his tea finally.

Well, wasn't this just an exciting way to start the day, by being at work. Honestly, Muse was lucky she got any rest last night. Between the mission and being called into work as soon as the sun came up, she was close to running on empty. The only break she seemed to catch was that she managed to get someone else to take over her shift. Who ever said working was fun clearly didn't get to deal with a bunch of whining and bossy customers every damn day. She'd be happy if she didn't want to throw a chair at the end of it, and thanks to 'changing' she never actually did. Had she still been the same Muse from a few years ago, she would've wanted to throw more than just a simple chair.

So that was always a plus.

But when heading home, Muse was already dreading the mess that was probably unfolding. It was about noon, so it wasn't like they were all still sleeping. Someone had to be awake, right? And knowing her 'family', that would just end up waking everyone else up in the process after awhile. If she was lucky, maybe if she went through the backyard they weren't to spot her right away... But judging by the way the voices were erupting from the backyard when she approached it, that entire plan was popped.

Now, don't get her wrong, she loved everyone in the house the best she could, it was just the fact that she was running on about an hour of sleep from the night prior to the mission. Blah. Opening the gate, Muse reluctantly drew closer to the entirety of the crowd. Vincent, saying something in Russian, Caddy being Caddy, and... Oh no, she dragged Persephone? Wait, wait, wait, were those pregnancy tests? Muse paled.

"...Is this a bad time to come home?" Muse asked, eyes darting from person to person before she gave the garden a once over. She'll have to mention later how nice it was looking. Which wasn't surprising. Vincent took amazing care to it, so it was only natural. Maybe she could help him later? If his mood wasn't completely shattered, that is. "Cadence, I don't believe waving, uh, those around outside is exactly a good thing to do..." She added in, walking right on up to the group, holding her purse close to her with a sigh.

Ah, the joys of actually spending part of the weekend at the house.

❝Our enemy is the light of humanity, we are forced to exterminate ourselves.❞

Vincent had a predictably unenthusiastic reaction. It was almost as though he didn't care if two of his partners were pregnant. He was busy screwing around with his garden. Percy looked at it with narrow eyes, analyzing the soil and then she felt something touching her. She looked down at her feet, her eyes widening. There was a garden snake coiling around her leg. No one else seemed to see it or if they did they didn't care. It was probably a hallucination. Vincent's plants turned into snakes, each hissing and slithering around her legs, up her body, underneath her shirt. They constricted her chest, making it impossible to breathe. No, no this couldn't be real, her mind said rationally and yet she was panicking. Her breathing quickened, it felt as though she were rooted to the spot.

It wasn't real, it wasn't real. Percy chanted in her mind, she didn't need to tell them, there was no reason to freak out and yet she could feel their scaly skin. It wasn't exactly slimy, more smooth in a metallic way like a large sheet of metal crushing her in a vise sort of grip. Percy closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and when she opened them, they were melting, dissolving in a puddle at her feet. Melted snakes at least were much more bearable to handle than live ones.

Vincent cursed at them in Russian. It shouldn't have come as a surprise but still, it did. Percy knew a little bit of it, she had a Russian friend in school who had taught them curse words and basic slang. She could call him a number of things in a number of languages (when one has a lot of free time on their hands, they tend to get curious). Percy knew that would do nothing to escalate the situation though and so she knelt down to Cadence's height, whispering in her ear. "He just cursed you out." She said, wondering what the pink haired girl would do now that their plan was foiled.

“Alright Pops, I got it covered, you know I do. You’ll have your papers on the printer in ten minutes. Aie, Deactivate. Anything else I should know?”

“No, that’s it. I will come back later if I need some help with anything else,” Even as he spoke Flynn had to think about it. There wasn’t anything more, right? No, he had already taken care of the things he wanted to take care of. Or… yes he had. If there was anything more he had already forgotten about it. So it couldn’t be that important.

“And hey, back off with your cleanliness shit. I hear you’re driving the kids mad.” Flynn was already by the door when Olsen pointed that out and that comment, out of the blue, it made Flynn chuckle. He just found it funny, like some sort of joke. He couldn’t take it seriously coming from Olsen. But it wasn’t a mean laughter in any way, it came from the heart. The heart of some sort of father figure.

“What are you talking about? Back of? Cleanliness shit?
He chuckled once more while shaking his head, “Olsen… You disappoint me, how can you say something like that? I remember when you were younger and used to clean your room as well. I understand that you want to be the kid’s friend and all that but I’m not here to be a friend. And once they’ve understood that I’m the one in charge I will continue to have rules and demand that they are followed.”

After his little speech he gave Olsen a small nod as a goodbye before leaving the room. He needed to get back to his office and take a look at those new papers. See what the mission was about. And then let Edward take a look at them. Yeah, so much to do all the time. No time to rest at all. But the kids played around, well, there was nothing wrong with letting them play around a little bit. They were still kids after all.

Once inside his office he sat down in the huge armchair once more and picked up the printed papers. As he glanced through them he relaxed, it seemed to be an easy mission this time. Nothing too complicated. They could definitively do this without any setbacks.

What a quiet night. Nice even. Vincent had never been a fan of long car rides with his family, but the whole mission thing was always enjoyable. Even if he didn’t have a part in plan A, the one without violence and confrontation. He just had to wait for plan B, the one where the hacker fought back and he got to play. Ow, he was just waiting on the outside. Leaning against the wall beside the window, waiting for something to happen. The view was nice though, the moon however over the city like a big eye. Watching everyone. Kind of like Dragonfly. What a scary thought.

Everything was fine, everything was quiet. Even boring. Vincent was starting to lose interest, to lose focus, it was a late night so he should already gone to bed by now. He was starting to fall asleep where he stood and guarded the exit, yawning constantly as well. Just as his eyes started to feel heavy and he started to nod off there was a sound, a voice in his ear. A single word, but it made him regain focus immediately. Opening his eyes and glancing towards the window, Fuck?

He couldn’t hear fighting or shouting from the inside. But what had made Dani respond like that? Oh, perhaps the hacker wasn’t home. But that didn’t make sense either, why would Edward choose this night if that was the case? Edward usually never was wrong when it came to these kind of stuff. Yeah the whole situation confused Vincent. It seemed so strange, well that was until he suddenly heard someone calling his name from the inside, “Yo! Vince! A hand, please?” And inside his ear. Leaving behind a ringing tone and a headache.

So he stepped inside, it was dark. Not that surprising. But as he walked through the apartment he seemed to furrow his eyebrows more and more. Things was gathered on the floor, drawers was left open. This was not professional. This was not the Dragonfly style, he couldn’t understand why his companions would do something like that. Were they crazy? No one was supposed to know that someone had been in here and just happened to kidnap the guy who owned the apartment. People was supposed to believe that he had just disappeared, vanished, moved on. According to their information he was a loner so that wouldn’t be that surprising. But this, no one would be fooled.

But as he moved around in the rubble, there was this hint in the air. A smell. A stench even, of death. Vincent remembered it. He had smelled it so many times before. But this time… it wasn’t supposed to smell of death this time. The closer he got to the source the stronger the smell got, if he wasn’t used to it he would probably be feeling sick by now. Because… it smelled bad. Like the dead thing had been lying in here for a while, in the heat. It smelt of decomposition.

And sure enough that was just what Dani had responded to, once he found her he found her beside the corpse… no mess left of the man. “Oh man… Is that? Yeah, it probably is…”

Once the initial shock had subsided he slowly shook his head while dragging the hand over the neck, “So… What do we do now? I guess we need to pick the pieces left of the computer and bring them to Olsen? See if he can find anything.” The others should have heard the whole conversation, they should had picked up on the smell as soon as Dani had opened the door. So even if the earlier statements was directed towards Dani Vincent continued to talk, without even moving an inch of his body. The small microphone picked up on the sound anyway and sent it to all the others earphones of the team, even Edward and Olsen who still was in the main house. “The dude is dead. Murdered. Should we clean up the mess and do some tests on the? Because well… the way he’s been dumped here will raise some eyebrows. People will be too interested in the case. Should we perhaps set the apartment on fire as well? Erase all fingerprints or something? I don’t know what to do.” Even if this was a major setback Vincent still kept his composure, he didn’t need to work himself up over this. No, the best way to handle the situation was to stay calm and collected. And figure out a way to get back on track and make something out of this mess.

"No need to cause a scene," Alright then. If that was what Edward thought was the best idea Vincent could accept it. Even if he still was a bit concerned about the fact that they could have left some sort of DNA evidence behind. Like a strain of hair. But since no one else believed that something like that would happen there was no need to argue about it. "Be ready to engage in combat as they might already know we are here."

"What? They? Who are you talking about? The ones that killed the guy?" Did Edward think that someone was waiting for them? Was this all a trap? Holy crap, what if this is a trap? And they just walked straight into it! Even if Vincent didn't want to he could feel his pulse raising as he made himself jumpy, staring around in the room. He even walked over to the window and as he reached out his glove covered hand to separate the blinds something made him stop immediately, a new voice. One he had never heard before spoke inside the small ear piece.

The first thought was simply This is it, this is the end. He was so sure that the guy was one of those that belonged to that They that Edward had mentioned. Who else could it be? Neither of them had gotten any information about someone new joining them. Vincent was sure that they had been hacked, it was so obvious. Or maybe not... It was not like the guy on the other side made any types of threats or demands. Or he did demand things, but not something that could be expected of the culprits, right? No, Vincent had no clue by this point. He could feel the thoughts bounce around his head in hyper speed. Why was it one of these types of missions? He wanted to punch someone so bad at this point.

After a couple of deep breathes and a unhappy look from Dani Vincent collected himself again, somewhat, "Who are you?! And how are you able to access our devices? A hacker?" Dani's comment about a new family member had entered one ear and went out through the other. "If you are one of those who killed this guy you are extremely stupid! Wait... what..? Don't disturb the scene? Who the fuck are you?! Don't give us orders! Just collect the things Edward told us about so we can leave this place before someone notices us. This was supposed to be an in and out mission! We can't stay much longer."
