The Dilan farm stretched on and on in all directions. The rich green-golden laced fields were dotted here and there by horses and cattle. A glistening clear-water creek cut its way through the pasters. The rather large ranch house and barn sat in the middle with a gravel road that reached out to the paved road a good mile to the south. It was peaceful and tranquile. The crickets chirped and the birds sang to each other will lightening bugs flittered here and there in the trees and tall grass.

Trisha's parents had gone off to visit one of her 5 brothers, the youngest she believed. She wasn't one for keeping in touch with many of her relatives. Only her oldest brother and her parents really. Her darling folks had asked her to come and watch the house while they were gone. Two of the mares were due any time this month and they need some one they could trust to be there. Or at least that is what they had said.

Her large pitbull bounced around playing with the other dogs that lived on the farm. He rolled them then they rolled him. It was a never ending game for them. 'At least he is having fun,' Trisha thought to herself. Glancing out down the driveway she noticed a cloud of dust headed towards the house. "Who could that be?" She pondered out loud.

Seth smiled as a smooth breeze ran through his hair, from the open window door. He had hit the jack pot with this new job and he knew it. Up until now, his clients mainly consisted of small-time businessmen and poor saps who were hiding from dept collectors. However, fortune seemed to smile upon him today. Only 5 hours ago, two brothers came up to his office and presented him with a a suitcase filled with $150,000. Not only that, but he was told that this was only payment in advance. He would be receiving the rest after the job was finished and the contract was resolved. How could he say no? The offer was so unbelievable, that he didn't even bother to ask just who he was protecting the brothers from.

After taking a deep drag of smoke, Seth took the cigarette out of his mouth and exhaled the smoke out the window. He looked back at his clients through the review mirror for a few seconds, trying to get a better picture of them. Up until they got into the car, they had been concealing their faces. A smart move to make, if someone is after you. While one of the brothers was fairly talkative, the other one seemed quite reserved. A trait Seth could respect, as he prefers to keep to himself as well. As the farm came closer in sight, Seth let out a long sigh. 'I can't get enough of the countryside. I bet Hubert is gonna get pissed at me again.' He thought to himself, imagining the humorous image of his older brother, trying to scold Seth for bringing his work home. Of course, he only does so when his favorite little sister is over.

As he drove up alongside the house, Seth looked back at the two clients. "Hey. Wait here for now. I need to take care of a little side-business." He ordered, before exiting the car. Walking toward the front exit, Seth's ear flickered at the unmistakeable sound of a saw being passed through wood. Instead of continuing towards the house, Seth made his way around the right side, only to find his older brother Hubert, sawing away at some wood, most likely to finish the fence around the new pig pen they were adding in. "How's the hick life been treating you, bro? Mom and pops been doing well?" Seth chimed in, arrogantly as he made his way over to Hubert. Hubert looked up, and immediately grimaced. He put his saw down, and began speedily walking towards Seth. "Trisha isn't here. Go back to the city and leave us be, Seth." He demanded, with distaste in his voice. Seth put up a cocky smirk upon his face and chuckled at Hubert. "Hey. That any way to treat your little brother? Nice try by the way. But mom already called earlier, telling me that Trish was in town for a couple of months and that I should come visit too. So, if you know why I'm here, then why don't you just tell me where she is? We both know how this will end, after all." To that response, Hubert grabbed Seth by the collar and yanked him forward. Seth maintained his smirk, knowing that he could overpower Hubert if he needed to. "Listen to me. If you continue to put that girls life in danger for your stupid line of work, I'll put you out of commission myself." Hubert threatened. "You and I both know Trish was made for this kind of life. She's a born natural, after all. Besides, with the dough we'll make from this job, we'll be able to save the farm from those tax collectors and then some. Hell, we could even send the folks to a top notch retirement home. You gotta admit, taking care of'em is too much for you to handle, right? How much sleep do you usually get, Hubert?" Seth asked, all of a sudden turning serious. He was met with a weak punch to the face, which barely fazed him. "You just don't understand a damn thing, do you? All you need to do is leave and keep Trisha out of your business." Hubert stated, turning back around to return to the wood. Seth merely stood there, staring at his tired, weak older brother. "You really are stubborn, Hubert. Too stubborn for your own good." He stated to himself before continuing to search for Trisha.

Trisha was out in the round pen with one of the stallions that had arrived a few days ago. He loped easily around the pen keeping the right distance from the pen's wooden wall and plenty of distance from the buggy-whip that trailed the ground behind him. A lovely shine had just started to show up on his black coat where the sweat was starting to show. His lovely main bounced easily off his neck.

Trisha noted the fact that Hurberts saw had stopped. Knowing the reason had to have been good she coasted the horse to a stop. The stallion's eyes stayed on her as he walked up to her and she clipped his leadrope onto his halter. Groundmounting the tall horse she walked him over to the gate and easily opened it then rode him around to the front of the house. When she rounded the front she spotted he brothers glaring at each other. Trotting the horse up to Seth, she asked with a wide smile, "Looking for me?"

Torren got out of the car not wanting to spend any more time alone with his brother. He was the one who had gotten them into this mess. Stupid frat-boy that he was. Glancing around Torren noted the smells that came from the livestock and the fields. This place just didn't match up with the guy they had hired. Sighing he noticed a swing hanging from one of the large oaks in the yard and strolled over to sit on it.

The conflict with his brother still fresh in his mind, Seth wandered around aimlessly for a bit not really concentrating Trisha. That was until a familiar voice invaded his morbid thoughts. "Looking for me?" Seth looked back at her, surprised for a moment, then brought a warm smile upon his face. As he was about to say something to Trisha, he heard a loud clump.

Turning his attention toward the sound, Seth's smile was all but murdered by the sight of his client, sitting in a pile of dung... Or maybe it was mud? None-the-les, only one thing crossed Seth's mind at that moment. 'This fool looks so uncool. What a deplorable life he must lead.' Seth walked past Tasha toward the man, and was about to lift him up, before he practically jumped up himself and began associating with his sister. "Hey..." Seth began in a monotone, while reaching for the back of Itsumo's head with the intent of squeezing it with immense force. "I thought I told you to stay in the car..." He stated, glaring murderously. Realizing that the man he was attempting to inflict pain on was his "rich" client, he reluctantly withdrew his hand and proceeded to step between the man and Trisha. "It's been a while, Trish. I don't suppose you'll be willing to pass up going on another job with me, eh? This one is paying really well." Seth began before closing in and whispering into her ear. "You could get some pretty sweet enhancements done to your car with the cash we'll take in." He stated, smirking devilishly.

Trisha blinked at the crazy fool who now stood before her. If only he knew the rest of the family, they wouldn't have cared who is was they would have distroyed him much like her brother wanted to do now. She smiled widely as Seth stepped between her and the intruding flurt. Seth had her attention from the second he said "money for her car."

"What's the job?" She asked as she patted Knight on the neck trying to seem like it didn't interest her, but she knew it didn't fool her brother in the slightest. He knew she would beat around the bush before debating percentages and then finally saying yes in a round-about way. She loved her brother and loved the trouble he got her in even more.

Torren watched his brother make a fuss over the other two people not paying attention to him. He knew he brother thought his shit didn't stink but just like every other living thing it did. A large pitbull came around the back of the car and noticed Torren then loped right on over to him. Just as Torren noticed the dog he jump up onto the swing he had been sitting on and gave a quick shout along with saying paniced phrases like, "Good doggie! Back doggie! Please go away doggie!"

He was terrified of dogs. All dogs.

(By the way the pitbull's name is Mark-Anthony and he belongs to Trisha.)

The second Seth heard Trisha ask the magic question, he knew he had her hooked, no matter how hard she tried to act otherwise. He knew all too well that she couldn't resist going with him on a job. If there was one thing Seth liked about his sister, it's that she seemed to be all about business first while still maintaining a casual atmosphere.

"Well, I can tell you right now that I was already paid $150 grand up front, so as you can see, this is a pretty big job. We'll be getting the rest after the jobs been completed. For now, we're pretty much supposed to escort this guy and his brother to Ortega, Pennsylvania where their gramps apparently is supposed to pick them up." Seth began, while pointing back at Itsumo with his thumb. "Once we get them there, our job is pretty much done. We can collect the paycheck and head back home. I'm not really sure who exactly we're guarding these guys from, but I assume we're dealing with some particularly dangerous individuals. Based off the amount of cash we're getting, that is. So what you say, sis? You up for this job?" Seth asked, having finished his explanation.

She sighed then held out her hand, "I guess I am," She smiled. The job seemed simple enough, even easy that was till she heard the yelling from the front yard. She walked around the side of the house to see what was going on and was somewhat baffled by what greeted her.

A person, who seemed terrified of her harmless pitbull, was standing up on the seat of the swing hanging from the oak tree. The idiot from earlier was laughing and calling the other person all sorts of names and her pittie was just trying to say 'hi' to the new comer. Poor guy.

Letting out a whistle, that made the horse that was still beside her raise his head a little, she called Mark-Anthony to her side. The big brown dog glanced at her then ran over to her as fast as his bulky body for carry him, "Are you terrorizing people again, Markie?"
