Description

Name:
Liesel Engel

Appearance:
Liesel has long black hair and blue eyes.
Everyday (Wears hair up) (Without the bow and the balloon but the Mickey sweater may stay :3)
Image

Work (Wears hair down)

Age: 16.

Power:
Probability manipulation. As of now she can see the probabilities for different out comes and alter the chances at a range of 10%. She can't make impossible situations occur though.

Sexual Preference:
Pansexual.

History:
As a child, Liesel grew up knowing that her parents were agents and that she had powers. Because of her powers her father allowed the organization she works for train her. Eventually, she became very skilled in the usage of guns, which are now her main weapon that she uses to assist her powers. She had a happy life with her two parents until one day, when she was ten they were killed in a mission. She was put under the care of another agent of the organization called Ken, who was skilled in martial arts. He stood as a teacher and fatherly figure for Liesel, teaching her everything she needed to know. When she was thirteen, the organization allowed her to go on missions, and instead of paying her money, they promised her that for every mission she completed, they would put the money she would have earned to funding a scientific operation to resurrect others, and they promised that once she completed a certain amount of missions, she could ressurect two people of her choice with their machine.

Personality:
Liesel is a person who believes you can do anything with hard work and determination. She believes that your fate is in your hands (unless your fighting her) and that you can make the best of yourself if you try. She is also a very keen believer of second chances. However, she doesn't take lightly to betrayal and will not exactly trust those who betray others or herself, unless in the end she can see why they did it. Liesel is also very kind and wants to help whenever she can.

However, when Liesel has to work, she won't let her morals get in her way. She can be very deadly and will use anything she can as an agent to get her job done. The reason for this is intertwined with her history because she knows it's up to her to bring her parents back and that sitting around and waiting isn't going to help. With that she isn't rash; she's passionate but extremely rational, so she'll think about the consequences of her actions before she conducts them. Liesel thinks her power is a gift and that she has to use it to the best of her capabilities.

So begins...

Mikhail

Well, that was sudden.

Everyone was just running. Which was fine, but it was without direction.

Luckily, Zara was pulling forward. Mikhail caught up to her. "Take the lead," he told her, "You're probably the only person who knows where to go. I'll bring up the rear. If anything big comes after us, I should be able to stop it in its tracks."

Zara nodded, "Sounds like a plan, Captain," she said, giving him a phony salute. He smirked somewhat. "Just do your job. You've only got one. Oh, and make sure people know to follow you."

"No problem with that," she said. They came up to a fairly distinct fork in the forest. Zara immediately when to the right, "This way, people!" she hollered back, waving her arm, "Human GPS says turn right!"

Clearly that wasn't an issue. Mikhail slowed his pace to the back. Just for precaution, he strengthened the gravity of the area about five feet removed from him, creating a 10x15 foot patch of space that would immediately slow down any followers. Maybe even pull down a helicopter or other flying vehicle. Hell, he didn't know what they had. He made the 'slow' zone travel with him as well, a feat that probably would have been near impossible two weeks ago, but now was just only mildly draining. The only thing giving away the invisible patch was the uncanny falling of many leaves, pine cones, loose branches, and the occasional squirrel. Which would really only work to their advantage.

"Keeping up the pace, star-head?" Mikhail called to Hallie, who was close to lagging behind.

April

Meanwhile, in the mansion....

The red-head sighed, bored out of her mind. She had been stuck in this dump for hours, and it didn't help that Miss Goody-Two-Shoes was trying to yap up a conversation every two seconds.

She tugged on a strand of her long, curly hair and examined her flawless nails without any real interest before scratching at the stiff exterior of the couch she was lounging on. It was a deep burgundy color, some sort of replica of an ancient couch you might find in a palace. The kind that are always covered in plastic lining lest a speck of dust destroy the old thing. Much too high-maintenance for April.

She glanced lazily out the window, towards the wooded area that nearly surrounded the mansion. They were supposed to be waiting for some sort of 'rescue', so she had been told. Some students from a school built specifically for freaks. Freaks like Liesel. And now me, she realized. Hmph. She'd have to come up with another name then. Something she herself wouldn't take offense to.

Adrien

Adrien nodded, calming down; he was trying to replace his nervous thoughts with energetic energy, but that seemed to make things worse. He joined the group and started following Zara. He hoped that everything would go smoothly and that they would make it to the mansion safely or it would all be his fault...

Zoe

Zoe followed Zara, her and Mikhail taking charge as usual. She wondered about the two of them, it was obvious that if there was something sneaky going on then Mikhail and Zara were part of some organization together where you would gain skills like these, then, here in Psy Prep because of his relationship with Hallie, she got intertwined into it all and is now helping them with whatever they needed. She assumed James knew all about what they were by now but he's just been keeping it to himself. Zoe also guessed that Arian might know as well seeing as she's a telepath. That left Chandler, Daniel, Adrien, and herself definitely in the dark unless there was some freak occurrence where one of them found out. Now that Zoe got all of that together she focused again, wondering how the time that her thoughts were the most ordered was in a time like this. She could see the mansion...they were almost there.

Liesel

Liesel was on the top floor of the mansion, looking through a vintage telescope, waiting for the students to arrive, eventually, she spotted them coming. She was ready, she had to be. She went through a mental checklist of everything she needed for the mission and all of her objectives. Putting her hair up she looked like a normal, everyday kid, maybe a bit eccentric with the Mickey shirt and everything but still. She made her way down stairs glancing towards April. "They're almost here, are you ready?" She asked smiling. There was a 90% chance that she would be successful in this mission, she couldn't let the other 10% get the better of her.

April

April sighed at Liesel's exclamation. "Ready? For what?" she asked, sitting up. It's not like they were actresses or anything. They just had to act normal. Which was easy enough for April. She had been acting "normal" for God knows how long!

She stood up from the lounge seat and stretched, causing her lazy-day shirt to rise and reveal her flat stomach and the top strings of her thong. Her low-waisted capri sweat pants showed a smidge more. April wasn't exactly "dressed-to-impress" in the conventional way, and she certainly wasn't going for the cutesy thing that Liesel loved so much. But the sweats and boat-neck shirt was enough that she wouldn't be perceived as an overwhelming threat to any girls in the group coming towards them, but revealing enough to make any straight guy go ga-ga with temptation. To assume she hadn't planned out this outfit was a dangerous one indeed. Even her hair was styled a certain way. She would have loved to wear a gown though. A nice cock-tail dress, low cut and small skirt. Drive everyone up the wall!

She leaned against the window, over the seat she had been sitting on, and peered out. The 'rescue team' was on the pavement now. About ten or fifteen more minutes and they'd be upon the mansion. She studied the group carefully, and after a few minutes her eyes narrowed suspiciously. There was something up with two of the people....she couldn't quite put her finger on it, but they kept jittering in and out...very slight, but the jitter was definitely there. Like someone had stopped a camera and restarted it, and the people had moved in between. Was it an ability? Perhaps teleporting? It didn't make sense why they only teleported a little bit, though...

Mikhail

When he saw Hallie fall, his heart skipped a beat. And when he saw she was shot, everything stopped.

He stood still, just staring at that wound as the others talked. Rigidly, he shook his head at their questions in agreement. Hallie? Shot? How? Why? His heart beat faster, and his fists clenched. Before he could even muster a goodbye to Hallie, the two were gone.

Time rushed back to him, as did the very real threat of the bullets. He turned to see two coming straight towards him. They were immediately crushed to the ground. Eyes hardened, Mikhail glared into the direction of the bullets, sending the heavy gravity in front of him. All the bullets coming towards them fell to the ground, useless. When the bullets had ceased relatively, he shot the gravity field forward. It wasn't long before he heard another crushing noise and shouts of pain. Instead of stopping, though, he amped up the gravity, causing the volume of the yells to rise...

Zara

The Pole dodged all the bullets nimbly, once again thanking her power. By now the mansion was in sight, and she shouted at everyone to continue running just as Hallie and Chandler disappeared. Mikhail, however, was standing in a stance that caused Zara's stomach to drop. As the others ran past, she ran back towards Mikhail. Shrieks of pain from afar resounded through the air, and Zara realized it was Mikhail's doing. Something must have happened to Hallie.

"Misha!" Zara said, grabbing his arm, "Now is not the time for this! The enemy is incapacitated, let's just go while we can!"

She tugged his arm again, yanking him away from whatever he was staring at and breaking his concentration. He blinked a few times, breathing heavily. "You're right," he said, a bit hoarsely, "Let's go."

April

The Brit snorted when the bullets came into play. "Really," she commented before withdrawing from the window. The group was nearly upon them. Just a few more seconds, now....

As if on cue, the door burst open and their "rescue team" filed in. April was still in the living room next to the door, and she took her time getting to the foyer. As she stepped into view, however, she saw a face that changed the game entirely.

A face that she had never forgotten. One she had a sore vengeance against. One that she used to love, but now hated with all her being.

She curled her perfect little nails and leaned against the door frame, lips pursed as she stared at this face. My, how it had grown. Handsome, she'd admit. But she had grown too. And she'd never trust this face ever again.

Just as the Russian caught sight of her, April spoke:

"Hello, Misha."

Mikhail

"Hello, Misha."

Mikhail's eyes widened, his breathing hitched, and his stomach dropped.

No. How. It couldn't be.

She had grown, a lot, but it was unmistakably her.

This...this changed the game entirely.

"April..." he breathed.

His surprise, as great as it was, came to an end. He instantly narrowed his eyes at her, remembering she was no doubt still skilled in knives. "It's a trap!" he shouted, and he immediately pulled on April's gravity to pin her to the floor....

But....nothing....happened.....

His eyebrows furrowed, and surprise once again colored his face. He tried once more, tugging as hard as he could, more than he should, enough to crush a man into his own organs.

But still, nothing.

"I...I don't understand..." he said falteringly.

April just laughed. A harsher, colder, more sinister laugh than he had remembered.

"So you're one too, Misha?" April asked, "Well, I'm afraid whatever trick you had up your sleeve won't work on me." She faced the others, "The same goes to all of you, so don't even try to read my mind or any stupid mojo like that. You'll just end up with a headache." She leaned more against the doorframe, her shirt sliding up. Mikhail kept his eyes trained hard on April's green ones, suspicion in him.

"Well?" she asked, "Aren't you all supposed to rescue us?"

Chandler

They appeared in the school, Hallie still wincing. Her hazel eyes filled with relief though as they had appeared in the entrance of Psy Prep. "God," she sighed, falling back on the ground. "I never thought I'd be happy to be back here."

Chandler laughed a little, uneasy about leaving the others. He helped her up and they decided to find the nurse's office. Over the past two weeks, Chandler hadn't been there for himself, but visiting others. So he popped them there and immediately had the nurse working on Hallie.

A dreadful thought struck him. What if the others were hurt? Should he go back and bring the wounded back? Would there be more wounded? God, why were they sending kids into a mess like this? Seeing Hallie's leg, the side of thigh torn up and bloody, his gut flipped and he couldn't decide what to do. He was usually the best strategist. He played video games where this scenario was brought up a million times! But right now, he couldn't think. Thoughts cloudy, he found Hallie's hazel eyes watching him.

"You'll be fine," she assured him, wincing as the nurse dabbed her wound with alcohol. She was taking the pain rather well, for how bad it looked. "Go see if they need you. I'm sure I won't be needed," she added, an edge to her voice.

"What are you talking about?" Chandler asked, wanting to sound teasing, but only sounded worried.

"Just go," she insisted. "I'll be fine here. Let Mikhail know I'm fine and tell him I said not to worry. Just because I'm not there to actually suck the worry from him, doesn't mean he's allowed to. Kay?"

Chandler smiled briefly, then nodded. "Okay."

And vanished.

~

James

The crystal against his chest pulsed a bit and he turned to see two new faces. He was sure his crystal was trying to update him on their stories, but he uh...got distracted by...hot. Very very hot...ness.

Her shirt rode up, thong strings showing and eyes revealing she knew. She also appeared to know Mikhail. Fuck.

Chandler reappeared as the doors were closed and he assessed the situation briefly, finger pointing to the two girls on the edge of the foyer. "These them? Can we go?"

James gawked. He didn't even seem fazed by the ...the...man, he needed to get his act together. This wasn't a time to be staring at sexy girls...No matter how...close and...confident...and...

April

April smirked and crossed her arms, still leaning against the door frame. It was clear that she had gotten two of the boys' attention, besides Mikhail. The other two...well, one looked too young to be interested and the other who just appeared out of nowhere (obviously a teleporter)...well, he could just bug off.

The sight of Mikhail totally at a loss was satisfying as well. She could tell she had unnerved him quite a bit. Gone was that calm, collected-ness she used to admire. He was more cute when he was nervous anyways.

"I'm afraid you guys are stuck here for a while," April said, inspecting her nails, "At least until your back-up arrives. I suppose you missed the info, but you can't exactly teleport me anywhere. Maybe Liesel, but definitely not me. And I am a victim here, whether you like it or not." That last sentence was directed straight to Mikhail. She pushed off from the door frame and strutted to Mikhail, coming within an inch to his face, "And whether you like it or not," she added tauntingly, "you have to protect us. Including me." The Russian just glared at her. Ugh. He really had grown quite handsome. And...was that stubble?

With a toss of her head and a smirk on her lips, she stepped towards the boy with the bronze-colored hair. "I'm sure we have some first-aid supplies somewhere in the mansion for her ankle. It's large enough that it's certainly probable. Though...we haven't exactly checked out the entire place. Booby traps and all," she leaned forward and lilted her eyebrows up, "Perhaps the lot of you could do a thorough examination of the premises?" She glanced sideways to Mikhail, wondering if he'd oblige.

Mikhail

Oh, this was going to be difficult.

Why did Hallie pick now of all times to be away? He needed her the most right now...

It was clear that April had definitely not forgotten the messy bits of their time together. Even though she was being more than flirtatious, a darker side laced it. At least when she was talking to him.

At her last question, he nodded, albeit a bit stiffly. After all, what else could he do? Abandon them? And there was this other girl, as well, who didn't look nearly as threatening. How in the world did she get tied up with April?

"Let's divvy up," Mikhail said, "We'll go in pairs. Two pairs downstairs, one for each side, and two for upstairs, same deal. Whoever's left over will stay with these two and ensure their safety." He himself pointed at Chandler, "You're with me. We'll take the right."

"I'll go look for the first-aid supplies for Arian," Zara said. She took a few steps forward, stopped, then continued, "Yes...I know where they are." She did give Mikhail a look, though, that suggested a long talk afterwards regarding April. Mikhail sighed and started down the right corridor, putting as much distance between him and April.

Liesel

When Liesel heard that everyone arrived she came out of the living room along with April. "Hey, the names Liesel," she said waving at the group calmly. "We're going to be stuck here for a few days until our organization comes to pick us up. As April said, there's no way for her to get back safely," Liesel said matter-of-factly. There seemed to be a touchy relationship between April and...Mikhail she believed. She didn't like that Mikhail guy, he had a 78% chance of ruining the mission. Liesel turned to the two kids that were with them...they didn't seem too threatening, the boy had a 43% chance of blowing her mission and the girl had a 47% chance. Liesel smiled at Daniel, brushing away the percentages that were distracting her through most of the conversation. "I'm over here, what's your name?" She asked.

Zoe

Zoe ran inside the old mansion panting for breath, she wasn't that physically capable but she made it safely, telekinetically deflecting all the bullets that were shot at her. When they made it inside there was definitely tension in the air between Mikhail and the promiscuous girl April. Zoe scowled at the thought of April and started walking down stairs. She decided not to wait for a partner, it was a waste of time with the guys gawking at April.

Adrien

When Adrien made it inside he was glad to meet the two agents. One was extremely beautiful though she seemed to be dangerous. The other wasn't as beautiful but she didn't seem as malevolent as the other. "Well, I'll go upstairs, anyone wanna come with?" Adrien asked beginning to lead the way.

Daniel

Danny risked turning his head toward the new voice - Liesel. How had she pronounced that? Lee-sel? Lee-ess-ell? Eh, he'd wait for someone else to say it again. The girl herself was still easy on the eyes, but in more of a cute way that didn't distract him nearly as much. At least one of the people they were here to rescue seemed nice. "Danny Chance, at your service," he said, smiling confidently. He was starting to feel like smiling again, which was good, because not smiling for this long felt a bit weird. Seemed like he hadn't smiled properly since the helicopter.

It occurred to him, somewhere in the midst of his jumbled thoughts, that when everyone else left to search the house he would be left in a room with three pretty girls - none of whom ranked below an 8.5, and that was being pessimistic about the cute one. If there was an upside to all this crazy mission shiznit, it was the introduction of even more hot girls, even if one of them did seem to have some kind of history with Mikhail and, judging by her reactions so far, may or may not be secretly evil. Or maybe she just really hated Mikhail. Hard to say. Oh, if the guys at his old school had any idea...

Arian nodded her head to Daniel as she nursed her sore ankle. Her ears were still ringing from all the bullets and the newly broken stitches on her side started dap pending her shirt with blood. She wanted to freak out and scream at the people around her to make the bleeding stop. She never enjoyed fighting but she also despised weakness, which was exactly what Arian had been turning into. There were already a couple other people injured so she didn't feel as bad, but it definetly didn't feel good.

Something had quieted the nervousness around them and replaced it with tension. She glanced up to see two girls joining the group. The term was an understatement though. They were soaked in confidence an sex appeal. Arian found herself idolizing every inch of them. They knew what they were doing; boys dropping like flies into honey, and she wondered if it was a sort of power. Whatever it was, it had averted her pain for a few moments. As she sat up, her mind was thrown back into reality as blood trickled through her rose vine tatoo.

She knew it was a sketchy idea, but she needed something other than blood to focus on. Finding her way into Leisel's mind, she smirked, ready to play a little game. "You know...we kinda need these guys, and you two are helping them to their graves."

Liesel

EDIT:
"Well hello Danny," Liesel said nicely. As long as April didn't start any kind of fight with that Mikhail guy it seemed like they would be accepted into the group. Then, the 47% started speaking. Suddenly, for some reason though she rose up to a 50%. Liesel had no clue what caused this...but she didn't like it. If she didn't want her percent to keep going up she had to be careful. She wondered what Arian was talking about...oh, she was probably talking about April, Liesel knew that her looks made her popular with guys. Liesel glanced at Danny, staring at the three of them and laughed a bit "Sorry, I told April to look more decent," Liesel said glancing at April, who was probably getting more and more angry at her. Liesel dismissed the percent raise as probably just a random fluke, it had happened before, but something in the back of her mind kept her suspicious of Arian. Then she noticed the blood, she panicked for a bit but then Liesel reverted back to being calm. "Don't worry, I can run a flimsy first aid until they come back," Liesel said going into the kitchen and coming back with damp and dry paper towels, a sewing pin, and thread. "Do you mind if I help you?" Liesel asked Arian, she didn't want to just start working on her without her behalf of course.

Arian turned her head to see her blood blot Danny's side. Running shaky finger through her hair, she chuckled to him. "Yeah, blades can be bitches too." She kept her shirt muffled against the wound as she started to feel queasy. The threads of stitches tickled her palm, making her annoyed at the situation. Releasing her hand, she picked them with silent gasps, pulling vines of thread from her side.

At first, each tug brought her back to getting her nose piercing. The woman had a face shadowed with dark brown dreads and Arian had counted eight studs on the piercer's face alone. Arian remembered the tension as she sat back in the chair and the needle tore through the skin on her nose. Pulling out the stitches, the same emotions ran through her.

As the last piece of thread yanked from her skin, Arian snapped her head up to Liesel, who was holding various items for stitching. Arian didn't trust Liesel as much as she would an actual doctor, but she definetly didn't see anyone else fit enough to do the job. Ben Arian's hands were shaking. Wiping her hands on her jeans, and pulling her hair into a tight ponytail, she nodded her head firmly. "You're the best I'm gonna get."

She stood up to stretch her legs and straightened her ribs with a pained sigh. Her shirt had begun to stick to her bloody side and seep into her wound. Slowly peeling it off, she exposed her tatoo and shimmering black bra. Ignoring everyone else, Arian looked to Liesel and nodded her head again. "Just hurry up." Pressing her hands against the wall, she braced herself for the needle.

Mikhail

It was funny, really, how reality differed so much from memory.

In the beginning of school, Mikhail had actually thought of April fondly, if not a bit regretfully. It had been the pain of losing her that helped spur him asking Hallie out in the first place. But now, actually seeing her...in the flesh...he had reacted quite negatively.

Maybe it was because he was already dating Hallie. That would make sense. That, and the fact that April...she seemed so different. Right off the bat. Not to mention that they had never been on the same side of things. Even when he did like April, they were supposed to be enemies. Call it a hunch, but he knew something was up the moment he saw her.

He did have to wonder, though. Would he have reacted differently if he and Hallie weren't in a relationship?

His mouth twitched into a slight smile when Chandler mentioned Hallie.

"I'm wondering the same thing," Mikhail agreed, knocking on the wall with his knuckle. Reinforced with concrete and who knows what else. Gunfire wouldn't be blowing through these walls anytime soon. "Maybe they were part of another team, larger, and they were the only survivors? Or maybe they're after what everyone has." Mikhail pulled mentally on a vase to prove his point. It fell over with a heavy thud, spilling water and some pinkish flowers that the Russian didn't know the name for.

"Shit," he muttered, even though he had caused it to fall on purpose. As he bent down to replace the flowers, though, an odd sense of familiarity hit him. They looked fairly fresh, for one, which meant someone was replacing them. April and the other girl, Liesel he believed, were the only two here, to his knowledge. He didn't know Liesel, but he knew April. And April, as he remembered, had a thing for flowers....

"Quickly," Mikhail said as he pulled out his iPhone, hoping he had reception. Just barely, but it would do. "Do you know what kind of flowers these are?"

Zara

Zara ran back down the stairs, first-aid kit in hand. Good timing too. It looked like Arian was about to get stitches!

"Hey!" she said, bounding down to the landing, "You might want this instead!" She practically threw the kit to Liesel, "Don't want blood poisoning or anything." Even if she and Arian weren't exactly buddy-buddies.

Zara herself wasn't much fan of blood, and she put some distance between herself and the sight. Besides, it was April she really wanted to have a talk with.

"I know who you are," she said, a bit accusingly, to the Brit, away from the others.

April snorted. "I believe we just went through introductions, so forgive me if I'm not exactly stunned."

"No, I mean I know who you are, and your past relationship with Mikhail."

The older girl still looked unimpressed, but Zara knew she had her interest. The shorter Pole continued, "So don't think you've got all of us unaware. I'll have you know that if you touch a hair on Mikhail that two people are going to be on your ass."

April laughed coldly. "Two? You and who else? Don't tell me the prick's got a girlfriend."

"As a matter of fact, he does," Zara snapped.

That definitely shut April up. In fact, she almost looked surprised. What she said next, though, and how she said it, made Zara rethink whether she should have said what she did.

"Is that so?" April said slowly, her voice dark as she brushed past Zara down a hallway, "Well, I hope to someday be acquainted with this...lucky girl..."

"Wait, hold on a minute!" Zara shouted, chasing after her. But, to her surprise, she couldn't find her, and had somehow ended up in a large ballroom like chamber. "Shit."

Liesel

"Oh, thanks," Liesel said to Zara before she left. She opened the first aid kit and began working on Arian. There was a forty percent chance that she would screw this up. She had to change that. Liesel saw numbers and percentages everywhere without even trying, but changing them...changing them was a bit difficult. After focusing for a while Liesel reduced her chances of failure to thirty percent. It was now time to roll. Liesel went over to Arian and began working. First, she cleaned the wound and numbed it down with alcohol. Then she connected the thread to the needle and began running it through Arians skin. "Tell me if I hurt you," Liesel said but after a while she finished and tightened the stitches.

Liesel went back into the kitchen washing her hands and brushing sweat off her face. When she was ready she went back into the living room, April no where in sight. Liesel thought she saw her leave with another girl...it was the one who gave her the first aid kit. "What was her percent of danger?" Liesel thought in her head worrying about her. She tried remembering but she just couldn't...she would just have to wait until they met again. "Well, good thing that's taken care of," she said sighing.

Adrien

"Yeah, we're all good I think," Adrien said glad that everyone was safe. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine," Adrien said; he was really nerve wrecked while they were in the battlefield but now that they were in the mansion he was feeling better. Wait a second. They were missing someone. "Wait..." Adrien said out loud trying to remember who they were missing. "Ms. Mione!" He shouted remembering the mysterious teacher. "Do you think she's okay?" Adrien asked. The teacher was scary and allowed to kill them but she was still on their side, and was probably much more experienced than they were...

Zoe

Zoe made it down the stairs looking around to see how safe it was. Well, looking was an overstatement, she could barely see anything in the darkness of the downstairs. She felt around the walls of the room, moving around it. The walls were fragile and weak, but they were underground so no one could break through them. She didn't see any hidden assailants but to be sure she moved away from the walls to go around the room. She heard a creaking on the floorboard. She stepped on it a bit more to see if her ears were deceiving her. They weren't. The floorboard cracked open and Zoe crashed through falling on the ground a few feet away. Dust was flying everywhere and Zoe coughed for breath. Her leg was coursing with pain, she probably sprained something. She called around the dusty floor using her hands to navigate herself, there had to be something hidden down there...eventually her hands landed on something...a gun. She felt around some more...the room had tons of guns, at least twenty. If she had to admit she was afraid, but these people were agents so they needed weapons to fight, but most of all Zoe wanted out of there; but how?

Arian winced as the needle penetrated her already sore skin. As if the alcohol hadnt been enough, the tugging wasn't making it any better. She had held onto Danny's hand since he offered it to her. She didn't like how hurt she was looking, she liked feeling like a badass. Yet, here she was, grasping a guy's hand. Chuckling at Danny's expression, she squeezed his hand lovingly. "Chill out kid, i'll be fine."

She wondered if that was actually true though. Yeah, she would survive, probably, but the pain wasnt exactly exciting. She couldn't remember much about the first time she received stitches, only the pain. The drinking was memorable, so was the crash. Everything after and in between was certainly fuzzy though.

As Liesel finished up, Arian nodded her head in appreciation. "Yeah, thanks for that." She prodded her ribs gently and sighed. Her tatoo was broken; the vines to the bright red roses looked like tattered lightning bolts and the green color shadowed with silver thread. She pulled her hair into a tighter pony tail and glanced to her blood stained shirt. "Hey Danny, could you-" Her words were cut off by wood crashing somewhere in the mansion. She snapped her head up with worried eyes. "What the hell was that!"

Daniel

Danny followed Arian's gaze to her bloodstained shirt. Confused, he then looked at where her shirt should be. Then he looked away before anyone saw him looking. A voice in his head wondered, Has she been shirtless this whole time? Well, of course. She could hardly get stitches through it. Yes, but you see, she was shirtless. And you didn't notice. What with the medical emergency it can safely be said that there were more important things going on. Dear God, what have you become? Mature? Blasphemy!

Just as he was about to give her his shirt (and wishing he'd worked out more so there would be anything much to actually show her) a crashing sound echoed through the mansion. After the recent gunfire disaster practically any loud noise would have put him on edge, but that sounded like something breaking. Breaking meant someone broke it, probably on purpose. Hence destructive and probably violent intent. It was the second-worst thing to a gunshot.

This time, though, he managed to stay calm. Partly this was by force of will, but also because he'd just been through the wringer with shock and fear. It was starting to lose its edge. "Bad," he replied to Arian, looking in the direction of the door. "Zara can pinpoint where it came from. I'll go get her." With one more confident smile - this time much better faked - he let go of Arian's hand and stopped time. With April gone it wasn't nearly so tiring.

After a couple of minutes (for him) of searching, he found Zara in a large, ballroom-like... room. What she was doing in there he didn't know, but he unpaused time then and called out to her. "Zara! The crash just now - where was it?"

Danny nodded, relieved they were safe(ish) and also slightly proud he'd been able to help. That was the second time today he was useful. "Let's get back to the others," he said, then he turned to lead the way back up the stairs and toward the entrance hall where Liesel and Arian waited - April still hadn't made her way back. When he got there he raised his hand to the girls and told them "False alarm! The floorboards down there? Don't trust them. Just ask Zoe here." He grinned, leaned forward and added conspiratorially, "If you can get her to talk, that is."

Maybe that wasn't fair - she had thanked them and all just now. Told them things. Granted that in almost every other situation she refused to talk to people (and, he figured, him especially after the helicopter) but still... He paused and added to her directly "Eh, sorry. That really wasn't cool."

For a moment he waited there, rubbing the back of his head and generally seeming a touch embarrassed, then he smiled apologetically and went over to check on Arian. "Hey," he said softly once he reached her. "How you feelin'?"

Zoe

What Daniel said kind of brought Zoe down. After the incident in the helicopter she kind of assumed that he would understand why she wasn't very social..."Eh, sorry. That really wasn't cool." "No, it wasn't she muttered low enough for only him to hear. Then she noticed how dirty she was from all the dust under the floorboard. Liesel must have noticed as well as she began speaking "If you want there's a room down the hall for you, it has a shower for you to wash yourself," she said. Zoe nodded and left the group, still down and angry at Daniel. She guessed that she kind of deserved that anyways, she was kind of a horrible person wasn't she...

She entered the room, closing the door behind her, the room was...odd, floral designs covered the walls, spotted bedsheets were sprawled over the bed, it was a bit odd but she shrugged it off, moving to the shower. She discarded her dirty clothes and moved into the shower turning on the water, murky brown water flowing off of her body. The events in the living room kept repeating in her head, and each time they did she beat herself up more.

Adrien

"I hope so," Adrien responded. Without Ms. Mione they would probably crumble under pressure. He checked in closets, under beds, and in every space an intruder would hide in that he could think of and found nothing. "Yeah, lets go down," Adrien said going down stairs with James. The group seemed okay, it didn't look like there were any problems. Adrien smiled at the sight of the incomplete group. "Well, what do you guys want to do?" He asked trying to lighten up the mood. They might as well do something fun to pass the time instead of do nothing but freak out in anticipation.

Zoe

Eventually, there was no more murky water flowing from her and she just enjoyed the feel of warm water splashing on her. She was such an idiot, saying so much to Daniel, who she only knew for a week, even if she was being pushed into telling the truth. But it didn't matter. She was destined to be separated from others. She was a monster. Zoe turned off the water and dried herself off with a towel. Wrapping the towel around her she exited the bathroom, steam flowing into the cold room. Her clothes were still dirty and she had nothing else "Damn it," she muttered to herself. She put took her underwear from the pile and put them on, leaving her clothes on the ground, hopefully April and Liesel had extra clothes with them, or she would have to wear her dusty clothes every day. She went to the mirror, and looked at herself intently freak, murderer, creep the names she had been called flashed through her mind. Who was she? What was she?

Zoe

Zoe grabbed the clothes that April had gave her, they looked like they were a child's or something. She was given a pink shirt with some anime character plastered onto it and blue denim shorts. Zoe was repulsed at the thought of having to wear it but it was better than nothing, and Zoe was pretty sure she wasn't going to fit in anything of Aprils...she didn't have long legs and didn't exactly have...a broad chest like April did. Zoe brushed the thoughts away scowling to herself. It didn't matter anyways. She folded the clothes and put them next to her bed to wear in the morning as April left. When she was gone Zoe slid down the bed even further, waiting for the models return.

Liesel

Liesel looked around as everyone left. Sighing to herself she checked outside a window for any attackers, just dark sky...it was getting late wasn't it? She would have to show everyone to the rooms. Now that she thought about it...they only had five rooms for ten or so people. Sighing to herself Liesel worked out the math in her mind, she and April could sleep out on the living room couches or something, and some people could share beds or some could sleep on the floor. She heard worried voices coming from down the hall. She ran to the location of the noise spotting James, Chandler, a newly arrived Adrien, and an unconscious Zara on the floor. "Is she okay?" Liesel asked rushing to the group. "If April had anything to do with this...who knows what would happen" Liesel thought to herself. It looked like rooms would have to wait...

Mikhail

It felt like the ceiling had come crashing on him.

He didn't even notice his phone had slipped from his fingers. He didn't hear it drop, or Hallie's voice calling his name.

There was a visible droop in his shoulders as Mikhail looked at Zara. He knew she wasn't dead--couldn't be dead--but he checked her pulse anyways. Regular, for the most part. He picked her up and put her on the couch, keeping her head elevated on some pillows. As he withdrew his hands, he realized he was shaking. And...there was an odd, but familiar smell....

It hit him. Chloroform. They had been taught to recognize the smell at the MID.

"Who did this?" he asked, clenching his fists, the black fabric of the glove crinkling. After a silent pause, he stood up and whirled around. "WHO DID THIS??" he demanded loudly. His eyes laid on April, and he knew, he just knew! that she was the one responsible. "You," he said, his voice dangerously quiet as he pointed at her with his gloved hand, "It was you, wasn't it? You did this? Why did you do this?"

"Relax, Misha--"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Mikhail shouted, "I'm not Misha to you! Not anymore!"

He could tell he had touched a nerve, but he didn't care. April's eyes looked hurt for only a second, though, before reverting to their cold, emerald glare. "Fine, Mikhail. But it wasn't me. Besides, why would I even bother with the Pole? She has no interest to me."

"Is that so?" Mikhail demanded, "I know you're a good liar, April." He turned to James, "She's lying! I know you can't read her, but she's lying! She's been lying since we got here, and we can't trust her!"

"Why would I lie?" April defended, her voice growing high-strung, "Besides, I think you are missing one important detail! You're supposed to be rescuing us! Weren't you all checking the house for traps? Wasn't that your idea? Maybe Zara just fell into one of those traps. A trap that Liesel or I could have been victim too! That anyone could have been victim too! But you're accusing me of somehow being involved?"

Her bottom lip trembled at the injustice of it, and a tear threatened to fall, but Mikhail wasn't paying attention to her display. He stopped paying attention after those few words: "Wasn't that your idea?"

It was. He couldn't deny it. He had told everyone to split up, to check for traps. Was Zara like this because of him? Was this his fault? His fists were curled so tightly his knuckles were whitening, his left ones threatening to break through the fabric. No. That wasn't right. It couldn't be because of him. Somehow, he knew this was April's doing. He had a perfect record. Hardly messed up on a mission, and he certainly didn't get his team-mates into trouble like this. The worst was that last mission, but even then, everyone had made it out alive. Zara being like this, especially since he was so protective of her, didn't make any sense. It had to be April. It just had to.

He made up his mind. He turned to Chandler. "Teleport us out of here," he ordered.

April's eyes widened, "Mikhail, what are you---"

"Teleport us out!" Mikhail repeated. He glared directly at April, "We're done here."

Zoe

Working...for the Russians. Zoe shook her head in disbelief...could that have anything to do with why Zara was asking her whether or not she was Russian? Zoe's suspicions of Mikhail grew higher and higher. She wondered why that piece of information would be important anyways... Zoe glanced back to April and she wondered about her as well. Their conversation sounded like idle gossip even though they were talking about matters like this...she guessed matters like this were normal for an operative like April.

Then, the conversation seemed to turn to idle gossip as April began asking about Hallie again. She wondered why she was so interested in her in the first place...perhaps she had a hint of jealousy? She sighed, locks of her hair rolling over her forehead; she didn't exactly have the right to judge, she herself still had a hint of jealousy, didn't she. But something April said made her tick after awhile She's only going to get hurt in the end. Did she mean that as in she was going to get hurt emotionally because of Mikhail as a person, or did she mean hurt physically because of his past...or even present as a spy?

She turned back up to April, she had to give her an answer or she wouldn't get any either. Her question was hard for her to answer though...talking about Hallie and how great she must be would just make her feel more and more degraded..."I guess that's enough information for tonight anyways," Zoe thought to herself. But she had to change the subject without seeming suspicious. She decided to go for a tired act. Yawning, she responded to April, "She's okay, she got injured getting here," Zoe said glancing around the room "I don't know what to tell you," Zoe said sighing, she couldn't think of anything to say "She's got white hair, she's pretty tall..." Zoe said, all she knew is that whatever Mikhail saw in Hallie, he didn't see in her. She tried to seem nonchalant about Hallie and everything, but she could bet that April could see how she truly felt...

Luckily, the peppy girl Liesel opened the door up a bit. "Hey April, are you okay?" She asked, concern expressed through her face. "Well, someone's on the phone for you, I think it's the agency, we don't wanna leave them waiting," Liesel stated eyeing Zoe slightly. With that she left, leaving the door ajar for April to exit. Once April left, Zoe turned off the lights, sighing to herself, she was lucky there, but she probably wouldn't be the next time.

Liesel

Liesel waited by the corner for April to come. Once she saw her she paced over to her. "Well, how'd everything go with Zoe?" She asked eyeing her. She knew April wasn't really that effected by what happened between her and Mikhail. But whoever the guy was he still hurt her...and Liesel wondered how long April would continue to not be phased. Once they made it to the room Liesel sat down opening up her laptop and putting on her ear buds, "They say they're coming in one to two more days," Liesel said staring into space. "You think we'll have our mark by then?" She asked. No matter how enthusiastic Liesel tried to be she still wasn't as much of a grifter as April. She could handle heavy fights and physical battles, but she guessed cunning and manipulation was more of April's thing. "I've handled Ms. Mione, one tough woman, I'll tell you that much," Liesel said remembering the combat. "You'd think that a bullet to the head would stop a woman," she said staring into space. She beat her, but nonetheless there was something strange about that teacher, something Liesel couldn't grasp.

April

Liesel interrupted their conversation, but April could tell that Zoe was through talking about Hallie. Hmm. White hair. The injury would explain why she wasn't here. The hair color was interesting though...

April had to stop herself from rolling her eyes at the phone comment, and that emphasis on 'agency'. Liesel was so obvious sometimes. Or maybe it was just her.

"Zoe's fine," April said with a wave of her hand, "Found out what I needed. At least the bare necessities." She slid into the room, and once the doors were closed, pulled out the concealed knife she had on her at all times. It was a butterfly knife, not exactly legal, but when did legalities matter? Anything was legal, so long as Scotland Yard wasn't around. She began flipping the knife in intricate arcs, flashing and hiding the blade between its two handles.

"Most likely," April said in response to Liesel's question, her tone a bit bored, "Why are you asking me anyways? Aren't you the one with all the probabilities?"

April half-listened to Liesel prattle on about her last fight. Just as the silence was getting comfortable, her phone began buzzing. "Imagine that," she murmured as she picked it up. It wasn't from the 'agency' though. She frowned slightly as she flipped her knife shut one last time and slipped it into the hidden interior pocket in her sweat pants. She exited the room and walked to the farthest end of the hall before slipping into an empty room. After locking the door, she finally answered.

"Who is this?" she demanded.

"April, how nice to finally make your acquaintance," a smooth, Russian voice answered. It sounded older, mid-30s? 40s? "This is Dimitri Proskevitch of the Bratva. How do I find you today?"

"Unavailable," she snapped, but not too harshly. The Russian mafia was not a thing to give lip to, especially when they already knew your name. "I only work one job at a time. You'll have to wait another week."

"I have a feeling you will make an exception."

"I typically don't work for Russians," April hissed, "Not hanging up on you is exception enough."

The other side of the line was quiet for a few seconds, before the voice said, "Talk to my brother. He will tell you." There was a shuffling as the phone was handed off, and different, older, sadder, angrier voice spoke. "Hello, Miss Summers. I believe you are well acquainted with a Mikhail Petrov?"

April stiffened slightly. "What's it to you? And who are you? If you want half a chance at employing me, I don't deal well with anonymity."

"I am Vladimir Proskevitch. Vice President of the Miscellaneous Intelligence Department, that former-agent Petrov was a part of, along with my son, who he was close friends with. We have many files on you and that cyber ring you were a part of in London."

Former agent. So she had been right about that.

Shifting her weight, she asked sharply, "Why are you calling me?"

Silence. And then, in stone cold words that sent a chill up April's spine, Vlad spoke: "I want Mikhail Petrov dead."

The word was out of her mouth before she could stop it: "Why?"

More silence. And, in softer, morose tones, "He is responsible for my son's death. My poor Sasha was burned and crushed to death while that miserable street rat survived with everything but half his left hand and the guilt of those who were killed! Petrov wouldn't even be alive without me, and now he has taken away my only son!" The other line suddenly filled with incoherent sobbings, but when it seemed that Dimitri tried to take back the phone, Vlad protested loudly, "No! Let me continue to speak!" He calmed down, and continued, "I know you too have been wronged by Mikhail. This can be as much your vengeance as mine. You can do whatever you want with him. Torture him, break his heart, break him. All I ask is that when you are finished, you bring him to me so that I can kill him."

April was stunned. In an uncharacteristic moment, she stammered, "How do you know I can even find him?"

Laughter. "I'm a part of the Russian Intelligence!" Vlad exclaimed, before lowering his voice, "I know about you and the Germans. And I know about your little mission as well. The hacker is with you, or at least near you, as we speak." He softened his voice even more, to barely above a whisper, "You don't have to jeopardize your original mission. All I want is the Petrov boy, and you already have him. Just don't let him out of your sights, and you will be rewarded for your efforts." His voice crescendoed back to its normal volume, and he concluded, "I'll keep in touch. Good night, Miss Summers."

The phone clicked, and April stood there in disbelief. It took her a while to realize she was smiling. Grinning, maniacally, like the Cheshire cat. Before she knew it, she was laughing. She couldn't believe it! His boss out for him too? And his best friend dead? He didn't even know! He didn't know, and here he was....oh, this was just too good! She pulled out her knife and began carving into the wall, not caring about the wall-paper or antique wood. "Mikhail Pierre Petrov," she muttered gleefully, "Eat...your....heart...out..." She stood back from the wall, admiring the jagged heart she had stabbed into it. With one last breathless giggle, she added as she went back to her room: "Or I'll feed it you myself."

Liesel

"I guess I should be the one with the probabilities, shouldn't I?" Liesel said fiddling with her put down hair nervously. This was a big mission, and hopefully her last. She couldn't screw it up or that would put a dent into everything she worked for. She focused as best as she could, eighty five percent, that was even better before. Liesel smiled confidently, her anxiety fading away, they could do this.

Liesel eyed April oddly. Whatever that phone call was about, it definitely ticked something inside of her. Liesel, was worried, seeing April carve a heart into the wall and mutter to herself...it was admittedly frightening. As April left with one last shrill giggle Liesel shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Percentages busted into her head seventy five percent said it had something to do with Mikhail. Eighty five percent said it was dangerous for Mikhail, but most importantly...there was a ninety nine percent chance that April would succeed in whatever she was planning. Liesel would have to find out whatever it was and fast to make sure it didn't hinder their chances of success.

Liesel got another message on her laptop. The Russians were coming as well...but not for her and April's mark? So they didn't even know she was here did they? Liesel pulled her hair through her hand. She wasn't sure if this was going to be a good thing or a bad thing, but she knew she would stop at nothing until she received the money from the Russians, she was going to get her family back if it was the last thing she did. But it also led Liesel to wondering how the Germans got that information...she heard that none of the Russian Mafia locations were tapped into...it didn't really matter though did it? Deciding that it didn't Liesel closed her laptop and lay down on the sofa, this was going to be one tough mission, she was sure of that much...

Zoe

As vibrant light cascaded through the windows of Zoe's room she let out an exhausted moan. "Why can't I just sleep forever?" She internally asked herself, as she rose up from her bed, the pink quilt emitted traces of dust. Crinkling her nose in disgust, she brushed the particles away as her feet made contact with the cold hardwood floor. She walked over to her new set of clothes left to her by April. She facepalmed in agony, having to wear crap like this was going to be the end of her. Did the girl not have anything in bright frilly colors? Remorsefully putting her new outfit on she tugged on the creased peach shirt and went into the living room, to see Liesel in the kitchen cooking breakfast for everyone. "Good morning, took you long enough to wake up~" she said smirking. Zoe guessed she was one of the last to wake up seeing as Adrien was sitting on the couch playing some video game that he probably made with his illusions. "It seems like there's a cease fire going on outside, so relax while you can," Liesel said as she put a plate of steaming pancakes and scrambled eggs in front of her. Zoe picked at the food with her fork as she looked back on her conversation with April, was Mikhail really that much of a heartbreaker as she said? She kind of understood why he wouldn't tell her about him being a spy, but putting others in danger wasn't cool. But isn't that what you're doing? A nagging voice in Zoe's head asked. She stabbed her pancakes as she berated herself, the voice was right, she was a ticking time bomb, and she was putting everyone in danger.

Mikhail

Much of the night had been spent deciding/arguing with James and Chandler--though mostly James--on what the best course of action was. Even after the two returned to their rooms, Mikhail still didn't get much sleep. This was obvious the next morning by the dark circles in his eyes. He thought he had also heard some slight moaning and shaking from the floor above him, but he didn't pay attention to it much. He was too worried about Zara and Hallie, and everything in general.

Zara woke up momentarily in the night, but was too confused and, at Mikhail's urging, slept until morning. Mikhail spent the night in the chair, slumped forward, head in hands, pensive and awake.

The light filtered in through the dusty window shades, casting shadows around the room. Mikhail heard a rustling of sheets and lifted his head. Zara was awake, her bed-head inconsolable. She still looked somewhat confused, but more alert than her previous awakening. Mikhail smiled slightly. "Morning, sleeping beauty," he greeted with a yawn, "How are you feeling?"

Zara

"Woozy," she replied. Though, woozy was more of an understatement. She felt really, really weird. Lightheaded? Foggy? Like she was in a bubble, and couldn't really feel anything. Numb. That was how she felt. But she wasn't sure if it was a bad thing...

Mikhail looked concerned. Last night was still a blur, and Zara momentarily forgot where she was. "What happened?" she asked.

After hearing the explanation--chloroform apparently, Zara nodded. Her head felt heavy, but light at the same time. "Does chloroform typically make you feel weird?" she asked, her tongue shrinking and growing.

"I think it makes you feel nauseous and disoriented, at the very least," Mikhail explained, standing up, "Might be a while before the side effects leave. Do you want a bucket just in case?" Zara thought he was smiling, but wasn't sure. She screwed her eyes up, but that didn't solve anything.

Suddenly, she was in his arms, and he was carrying her out of the room. When did that happen? Where was this place? Slowly, her memory came back to her. The mansion. The guns before the mansion. The guns in the mansion. And then black. Oh, right.

"How's your sense of direction?" Mikhail's voice asked. Zara blinked slowly. "Where are we?"

Mikhail made a noise, but Zara couldn't comprehend it. Before long, they were in a bright room with other people. She saw red and thought of fire. Did someone have their head on fire? They moved away from the red and the texture changed. She was on a chair now. Wooden. Mikhail had left. Zara stared blankly at the space in front of her.

What was going on?

Liesel

Liesel decided to round everyone up, it seemed like almost everyone was in the living room...they were missing a few though. Liesel roamed throughout the halls, luckily being a spy gave you a much better sense of hearing, and as Liesel heard creaking she followed it, eventually making it to their kitchen. "Boo," she said as she opened the door spotting Arian and Danny. "If you guys were hungry you could have just came to the living room, I mad pancakes," she said smiling. "Come on, I'm sure you guys have seen enough of each other alone last night," she said wiggling her eyebrows suggestively as she laughed. She was sure she heard stuff coming from their room, the rapidly creaking bed, the exasperated moans, it was kind of obvious what they did if you were listening. "My I have no life," Liesel stated aloud frankly as she chuckled, "Follow me if you want free food, but you can stay here if you wanna creep around the house a bit more," she stated as she walked off with her hands behind her head. She was wondering how much she creeped them out...probably not too much, but just the right amount.
