Zara Rodsky

Gender roles are for pu---cats....

a character in “Psy Prep”, as played by cirrus_sd

Description

Name: Zara Marie Rodski

Appearance: Zara has short brown hair in a boyish cut (due to an unfortunate hot-iron incident) that is naturally curly. She also has sharp brown eyes and a slight smattering of freckles over her small nose. She's about 5'6, with thin limbs and a lacking bust. She likes to refer to herself as "compact" while Mikhail jokingly refers to her as "Short and small." She dresses however she likes, sometimes in men's clothes, sometimes in women's. Her favorite combo is a large sweater with short, pleated skirt, and she adores her knee socks, along with her doc martens. She also has a thin, but long scar running down her back.
Image

Age: recently turned 16

Power: Zara has a knack for finding things. She never gets lost, and when she is in dire need of something, she is magically able to find it. She is also good at finding people and knowing exactly what to say or what to type to get the info she needs. She hasn't had much time developing her power, so it is limited to the above abilities. However, if she hones her power, she could develop the ability to instantly know where everything is.

EDIT: In the two weeks of training, Zara's ability has developed quite a bit. She can now find people easily, and knows where her classmates are at all times with a certain range, usually within a building. (with the exception of Danny and Chandler whenever they timestop or teleport, and of course April). She can't tell what they're doing, just their whereabouts. Her hunches are a little more definitive and descriptive, and she's gotten better at finding giveaways to a person's emotion, either through their writing, facial expression or behavior. She can also visualize certain places and know exactly where things are without actually being there, however the only places where she has this down successfully are her dorm room, Mikhail's dorm, and the inside of her purse.

Sexual Preference: Straight

Personality: Zara isn't a stickler for gender roles. She likes proving to boys that she is fully capable of holding her own. She doesn't like comments on her "acting like a girl/boy" and replies that she is simply acting like herself. She is typically a happy person, joking around and having fun, but is fierce in her beliefs. Unlike Mikhail, she does not have such a strong handle on her emotions, and is prone to emotional outbursts at times. She is loud in voicing her opinion, and very energetic, occasionally to the point of hyperactivity. She loves baseball, and sports in general. She can hold her own in an arm wrestle or thumb war, and is an avid player of video games. She doesn't like reading, and struggles in school. She is lazy, and hopelessly messy and unorganized (but of course, is able to find whatever she needs with no problem). She is trying to grow her hair out so she can "whip her hair back and forth", but it's taking some time. She spends a lot of time on YouTube, and is prone to believing Urban Myths and just about any tip on skin and hair care until she disproves it herself. Too focused on being her own person, she isn't all that interested in getting a boyfriend, and will tease or cock-block anyone who tries to make a move on her. A holder of a dirty mouth, she tends to curse a lot, and is prone to flinging around bizarre insults. She is also very, very stubborn, a trait that at times can be extremely infuriating.

History: Zara is of Polish descent. Like Mikhail, she too was recruited to be a child spy by the Russian Intelligence, under the Miscellaneous Intelligence Division (MID), a section usually known for developing new methods for gaining intelligence, but now primarily dealing with the idea of child spies. From an Orthodox Jewish family, Zara grew tired of the assigned gender roles, and retaliated by shaving most of her hair off at the age of 11. Enraged, her father beat her, causing the skin on her back to split. The abuse caused a permanent scar on her back. She returned to her family, but a week after she was abandoned at a mall and her family was never seen again. An agent for the RI saw her sleeping on one of the benches, and after she told him she had no family anymore, he brought her to Russia to train her. There, she met Mikhail, and they bonded quickly, taking on a brother-sister relationship.

Her ability has been present since her birth, but she simply called it luck. After Mikhail's disappearance, she looked up the details of his death. The search led to a series of articles discussing psychic abilities, and upon reading the entry for Serendipity, began to suspect she herself had abilities as well. Upon finding the webpage for Psy Prep, she requested that she be enrolled. After receiving a letter approving it, she requested a discharge from the RI and left for the academy.

So begins...

Hallie

Giving an eye roll, she stomped into the gate, hands to her hair, gripping the white locks tightly, nearly pulling the hairs out at the root. Fine. He could have the punishment.

As soon as she pushed by everyone she felt lighter, more like herself. Rushing into the school, she caught her breath and slid down one of the stone walls, tears stinging her eyes. It wasn't her. She hadn't been herself. She was snapping. It was definite. What the hell was that?

She left the front hall before anyone could see her, hurrying to her dorm and locking the door, then slamming into her mattress. Buried under her pillows, she clutched at her chest as her heart raced faster and faster, headache pulsing. She felt like she was falling from a tall height and burning from the inside out. She couldn't control her actions as she shook and sporadically flinched.

Whatever the punishment was she hoped Mikhail's leg would be okay.

But then she replayed her words, and knew she had meant most of them.

Still shivering, she let out a scream into her pillow, blood running from her nose.

James

After eating, James noticed Zara had joined them. He waved her over, grinning with his mouth still half full. "You eat new girl?"

Then he grinned to Arian and her still small portions of food. Shaking his head, he left the table to get seconds. "Girls are so weird," he continued saying. "Or it just sucks that food affects you so much. I love food. I would marry it if I could. Though I'm sure that's illegal. Says so somewhere."

He dropped back down in his seat with two plates, one piled with spaghetti and meatballs with spicy sausage and the other made up like a Thanksgiving dinner plate. "Oh God is good," he sighed, before shoveling mashed potatoes and gravy into his mouth.

Mikhail

Hallie left. Finally.

Sighing exasperatingly, he crossed the gate. The last person. His leg started trembling with pain, and he tried his best to ignore it. The splint was loosening, though. If he didn't get some sort of medical attention, his leg would be screwed up forever.

His stomach grumbled. He hadn't had breakfast. Should he wait here? Or should he try and find the cafeteria? Remembering the last time he had tried to find a place on his own, he decided against it. He still hadn't checked his iPod. It was probably waterlogged. He didn't feel like observing the damage now.

He slid down to the ground, arranging himself so his leg wouldn't hurt as much. Where was the teacher? Or whoever was supposed to administer the punishment...he hoped he had been right in thinking they'd get him medical attention first.

Hallie's words continued to replay in his head. They hurt, truthfully. He had never thought of his actions in that manner. Did his teammates see him that way, but were too polite to tell him? Was it really selfish to constantly take the blame, to hold the burden? Was he really isolating himself by doing this?

He felt a prickling sensation near his eyes, and he knew that tears were forming. From pain, from anger, from frustration....He blinked them away. He blew out his mouth, leaning against the gate, head tilted upwards. He whistled the Grenadiers, half-heartedly, as he awaited some sort of authority figure.

Zara

Zara glared somewhat at James. "I have a name," she retorted as she joined their table. She was still feeling guilty about Mikhail, but the food was tempting. Her appetite was lacking, though, mostly from guilt, and partially because she ate a lot of pancakes. She took a bread roll and broke it up, nibbling on the pieces. She giggled a bit at James's jokes.

"My name's Zara," she volunteered. "What are yours? And what do you do? I can find things...I don't really think it's that special, but it convinced the school. And both of you got a good demo earlier. Also, where do we stay? I didn't get a dorm yet...do we get roommates?"

Arian smiled at the new girl, she looked a little out of place but Arian decided most newbies did. Walking over to James' plates of food, she tilted her head and started twirling her hair around her finger. She turned the chair he was in and straddled James' tough body. "You are such a good eater James." She pouted her big lips and waved her head around a lot. Smili g super innocently, Arian dipped her finger in his mashed potatoes and brought it to her lips. Then she flung them into his face. "You are also a pig. " Grinning, Arian hopped off his lap, returning to her sandwich.

Mikhail

He shrugged at the woman's question. "As ready as I'll ever be," he replied. His leg was feeling ten times better, now that it was healed. He didn't even know the school had a dungeon, but it wasn't likely that he'd be able to find it again. It definitely set the mood for whatever this punishment was....He wondered if smiling would be appropriate in this situation, just to show this teacher that he wasn't scared. Nervous, maybe, but not scared.

"Bring it on," he added, a bit cheekily, grinning weakly.

Zara

Zara smiled at Adrien. "They group up girls with boys?" she wondered aloud. Interesting. Well, she wasn't out for a boyfriend, so as long as Adrien kept it in his pants, being roommates would be fine.

"I hope Misha's doing okay," she said, worriedly. Her bread roll was hardly a crumb now, and she took another. "You don't think the punishment will be that bad, do you?" Those jokes about the punishment, while only jokes, were still worrisome. What if he was being beaten? Or worse? Zara shuddered at the thought. She resolved to see him immediately after he was finished.

Zara

Zara nodded in acknowledgement, though he pondered what Arian said. What did she mean? Was this guy a mind-reader? Zara edged a little bit away from him. The girl's statement didn't seem threatening, though, and she was smiling.

"Well, if he knows what's good for him, he'll keep his nose out of my business," Zara teased, "Unless he wants to ruin his chance of ever conceiving a boy." She grinned wickedly and turned to the girl, "I think I already told you, Arian, though I guess you were too busy painting James's face. I'm good at finding things....What about you? What do you do?" It was annoying, having to repeat herself....she supposed her Polish accent, while slight, was still disorienting to others.

James

He smiled wickedly at Arian, playing along with her games and honestly enjoying them maybe a little too much. Part of him even wanted to abandon his food!

Turning to Zara he said, "I don't know everything. I can control my power really easily because I have to go through an object to do it." He reached under his shirt and pulled out the blue crystal on its chain. "I Scry. So, unless this thing gets out of hand on its own accord, which it has," he said absently. "I won't find out any of your dark little secrets about Mikhail and you and that one night in Paris." He winked teasingly.

Zara

Zara nodded. Like Mikhail, she too had never heard of the term "scry", but the power seemed really useful, with the exception of the crystal. That made things a little tedious. She narrowed her eyes at James's joke.

"Who do you think I am?" she asked darkly, "You think just because I have a good relationship with Misha that I've already given it up to him? And in Paris? I've never even been to Paris. Sheesh." She rolled her eyes. "Besides, Misha's still a virgin."

Zara

Zara snorted at Arian's commented. "You don't know Misha," she retorted, "That boy has had a billion opportunities to lose it, but he never acted on any of them. Maybe he has you fooled, but he is more conservative than you'd think. He's waiting for the 'right one'." Zara made quotation movements with her fingers, smirking somewhat.

It was fun talking about Mikhail like this. The information was safe and useless, but still enough to fuel teasing. The discussion was helping with her guilt, taking her mind off of what terrible punishment the Russian might be subject to at this very moment.

Zara

Zara looked at Arian strangely. Did she really just ask that question again? "Do you have short-term memory loss?" Zara asked, "Because you've asked that question twice now...Or maybe you have a circuit loose up in there." Zara motioned to her head. Then again, it was possible this girl just wasn't listening to her. That always annoyed her...when people didn't listen...ugh, she really hated repeating herself. Besides, she had already asked Arian what her power was, but she hadn't even answered!

Zara eyed her oddly as her bread roll grew smaller with each piece. Arian....was very strange indeed. Zara didn't know what to think about this, but she put on an extra layer of caution, just to be safe.

Arian rolled her eyes at Zara's dramatics. She already knew she could find things, but what the hell is that suppose to mean? She took a deep breath. Arian knew too much mind control could cause little things like memory loss, but she was probably just spacing out. She looked to James and found it odd he wasn't making jokes. His humor was one thing Arian almost couldn't stand about him. He was a little different now though. She nodded her head to him, feeling a little fire flare inside of her. Turning back to Zara, she slid away from the table. "Well sorry about not listening, but I don't think you explained everything..." She shrugged and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll even give you an example of what I can do."

Arian focused her mind onto Zara while searching for fun things to do to her. Seeing a bowl of coleslaw, she made Zara walk toward it slowly, just so she could realize what Arian was doing. Finally reaching the table, she grinned. "I can control your mind, and therefore your actions. Frankly, I don't really enjoy using it on people I don't know too much about, but I think you deserve this one." She watched as Zara picked up the bowl and dumped the slaw over her head.

She couldn't help but laugh. That snooty chick deserved it.

Zara

When she felt herself stand up, Zara began to panic. She wasn't doing this. Why was she walking? Was Arian doing this?? What the hell?!

She approached the coleslaw, and although she strained with all her might, picked it up. Arian's words shook her up. Mind control? Was that it? And what did she mean that she deserved it?? What had she done? She could find things...what else was there to explain??

The blush on Zara's face could have cooked the coleslaw that dripped down her cheeks. She was not embarrassed, though. Far from it. She was angry and pissed off, and Arian's laughter did nothing to improve her mood.

Zara turned to Arian, mad as hell. "So, you can control minds, huh?" she snapped, "Clearly it's because yours is lacking. Besides, I don't need any stupid mind control to do this." Without looking, she grabbed a plate and dumped its contents over Arian's head. Oh. Lasagna. Perfect, then.

She slammed the plate back to the table, chipping off a piece, and stomped out of the cafeteria, duffel bag in tow. She dropped by a bathroom to wash out her hair, and wandered around the school, smoldering. She wasn't exactly sure where she wanted to go, but she ended up in the dormitories. For some reason, she had stopped at dorm 4 in particular. She decided that it was probably Mikhail's dorm, as no other explanation seemed viable. She checked the handle. Locked. Despite the practicality of it, she grew frustrated, and kicked at the door. After several pointless kicks and knocks, she turned with a muffled scream and slid to the floor, back to the hard wood. Why did she even expect him to be in his room anyways? He was probably getting punished this very instant.

A droplet of water from her hair rolled down her forehead, mixing with the growing tears of anger. What Arian did was entirely uncalled for. Was that what people at this school did? Made you dump food on yourself for no reason? Or was it just her? Zara resolved to be ten times more careful around the girl, planning to avoid her at all costs. And in the event of forced communication, she'd be as snarky as she could be.

She nodded to herself. Seemed like a plan. She decided to wait outside Mikhail's door for him, as she had nothing better to do and didn't have a dorm of her own. She pulled out her iPod and opened up her browser. Youtube would have to do for now.

Zara

Zara looked up slightly from her iPod, catching a glimpse of James as he walked into his room. The hall seemed to shudder slightly when he slammed the door, and Zara frowned. "Was that really necessary?" she muttered to herself. Not long afterwards, Arian also entered the hallway, slamming the door as well. "Jesus!" she exclaimed, despite herself. She didn't feel bad for her at all, but the slamming was really unnerving.

After a few minutes, Arian had run out of her room. Zara thought she could hear faint sounds of destruction, but paid no mind. Was Arian feeling regretful? Good, she should be.

With a sigh, Zara put her iPod away. She was bored of watching tutorials. Why were Asians so good at hair care anyways? And why is their hair so long and gorgeous?? She stood up, checking the door knob again. She had picked a couple locks in her life, but she wasn't an expert. Plus she had nothing to pick it with. This fact changed when she sat back down again. Her hand fell upon something thin and metallic, and her fingers closed around it. She lifted it up for inspection. A bobby pin? Did it fall out of her bag? Or was it dropped here previously? And how come she didn't notice it before?

Zara shrugged. It wasn't the first time this had happened. Standing up again, she bent down and started fiddling with the lock, bobby pin in tow.

Zara

Zara looked up from the lock she was picking. She had almost had it, but she heard Arian saying her name, knocking on some random door. What did she want now? Zara was tense for a bit, but realized that her tone wasn't harsh or anything. She sighed a bit, and stood up.

"I'm over here," Zara said, waving a bit, "I don't have a dorm yet," she explained, wondering if that was why Arian had knocked on that door. "If I did have one, I wouldn't be trying to get into Misha's." She motioned at the doorknob, the bobby pin still jammed inside.

"But anyways what do you want?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips.

Zara

Zara snorted somewhat. Although the girl's tone was soft and non-threatening, near the end it seemed like she was trying to guilt her into forgiving her. She also liked that she said "trying to apologize". What, was she not capable of actually making a sincere one, or was it so difficult she actually had to try to say sorry?

"I didn't choose the lasagna on purpose," Zara replied nonchalantly, "That was just what my hand found. Not to mention that I still have no idea why you even did what you did. What, were you frustrated because you were expecting more from my power? I can find stuff. That's it. Big deal. I don't lose anything, I don't get lost, and I can beat anyone on a scavenger hunt. Is that enough detail for you? Or are you going to make me do something stupid to myself again?" Zara paused for a breath, glaring somewhat at Arian. She wasn't angry at her--that emotion had already set sail--but she wasn't exactly happy. "If anything, I should have been the one frustrated with you. You didn't even answer my question."

Zara crossed her arms in front of her. "You picked the wrong girl to mess with. I'll forgive you, despite your shitty attempt at an apology, but only because I don't want you to keep lolling after me with your pathetic "sorry"s. But, don't expect me to just be all buddy-buddy with you just because I've cleared your conscience, either." Zara turned back to the door.

Arian sighed and rubbed her temples. "Fine. I wanted to clear my conscience, but I also didn't want to start out here so bad, meaning I didn't want to make enemies before friends. And I know you aren't exactly my enemy but truthfully I don't want to have to watch my back for you." She pulled her hair into a pony tail and took it back down with a deep breath. "Okay, so that's my say. I'm gonna leave now and hope that you don't find a knife or something and try to kill me." Picking up the skirt of her dress, Arian turned around and started going back to her room. Her head ached with emotion and over use, she knew nothing could really help it though, so she decided to blast some music.

Entering her dorm, and feeling more crappy than ever, she plugged her ipod into huge speakers and started with some Papa Roach. With the playlist though, it would soon fade into Etta James. She threw herself onto her bed and stared up at the ceiling.

"As if I'd waste my efforts on you," Zara snapped, "Besides, if I wanted to have you killed, I'd have done it in the cafeteria."

The girl had returned to her own room, and Zara twisted the bobby pin. After a couple more minutes, she heard a satisfying click. Grinning, she pushed the door open tentatively. She didn't know if Mikhail had set up any traps to ward off intruders yet. After the coast seemed clear, she edged inside, pulling her bag through before shutting the door.

The room was still dark, and surprisingly unorganized. Mikhail wasn't a clean freak, but he didn't like messes either. Zara shrugged. She supposed he hadn't enough time to fix things up. She flung her bag onto the bed and bounced onto the bed. Hmm...comfy, but a little hard. She decided to clean herself up properly, and headed to the shower.

James

He listened to Arian trip over her own voice and he waited silently, stoic, just hearing her out. When she finally finished with "Sorry" he nodded and replied, "Okay."

Glancing down the hall, he saw Zara picking at a lock and he sighed, not really seeing anything for a second. He was tired, but not enough to fall asleep. And part of him wanted to make sure Hallie was left alone. She was obviously wigging.

"I'm gunna go outside," he said absently, glancing to Arian briefly before lifting up straight. "You can come if you want."

And he started down the hall, nodding to Zara as he went.

Mikhail

Mikhail sighed at her next demand. "Elle est tout simplement jaloux parce que je suis sexy dans cette tenue qu'elle ne pourrait jamais espérer être," he muttered in flawless French. Zara giggled a bit and he grinned at her as he pulled off his pants. "You want me to put these on my head too?" he joked to the teacher, but her expression showed that she was not in the mood for jokes of any sort.

He left with Zara quickly. "Well, it's not like this is totally embarrassing," he said, "It is a part of my ethnicity. Cultural costume for some, and whatnot."

"If you say so," the Polish girl replied, "You know, you don't look too bad in that. Like a really buff girl who doesn't know what a razor is," she brought her hand up to her own chin, "The stubble really pulls it together."

Mikhail felt his own chin, the course hair growing in. "You just described a good percentage of the French girls anyways."

Zara led him back to the dorms at his request, and opened his door so she could get her bag. "What were you doing in my room anyways?" he asked. She just shrugged. He stopped by the bathroom to get a good look at himself. Wow....really....ridiculous. Though....not that bad, if you didn't pay attention to his leg hair, and his obvious lack of boobage...He put his hands on his chest and glanced at the toilet next to him.

Zara

Boy, was she glad she hadn't gotten the punishment! French maid was bad, but it seemed like just the beginning.

Mikhail's voice called from the bathroom, and as she stood up from the bed, he strutted out, hands on his hips, hanging off the door provocatively. She noticed his chest looked....different?

"Hey, Zara," he said, "I think I have a more feminine physique than you. Check it out!" He poked at his fake bust, which revealed quickly that it was made of some flimsy material. Probably toilet paper, since he was just in the bathroom.

"You do not!" Zara protested, and she walked up next to him. She examined the two of them in the mirror. He was taller, but that didn't say anything. And even if the front part of the costume looked full, it would surely be flat, lacking depth. "Side profile!" she demanded, and they turned accordingly. He must have stuffed a lot in. They protruded enough to be nearly C-cups. And with a wig and proper shaving, he really would look like a girl...albeit with sharp jaw line and features, but still.

"Haha! I win!" Mikhail proclaimed, grinning stupidly. Zara replied by turning and punching him in the left "boob". She heard the crinkle of paper, and he protested loudly. "You're gonna make them uneven!" he said, turning to the mirror and fixing them.

She laughed. "Do you know how gay you sound?" she asked.

"Gay people don't have boobs," Mikhail said defensively, "Besides, I'm only having a little fun. It's not my fault you're so small."

"Compact!" Zara snapped.

"Whatever, washboard."

At this, Zara sprung into action. She leaped onto Mikhail and started tearing out the toilet paper, him shouting as he tried to ward her off. "Stop! Stop! Augh! You're ruining it!" His voice traveled to a falsetto, and he grabbed her and rolled out of the bathroom. "Oh, stop!" he continued, though in a sillier, higher voice, and Zara couldn't help laughing. "You brute!" he added, smacking her lightly with a nearby magazine. Her magazine...."Stop! I haven't finished that yet!" this time she was the one shouting, albeit through giggles, and although he was below her, he managed to keep the Vogue out of her reach, using one hand to tickler her as well. Finally, he let her have it, and she slid off of him as well. He sat up and examined his chest area.

"Flat again," he said with a sigh, and eyed her, saying in a mock-angry voice, "You've ruined me!"

"I thought you preferred your girls natural anyways?" Zara said a bit breathlessly, holding the magazine, but not reading it.

Mikhail

"True that." He sat on the floor, regaining his breathing, and smiling nostalgically. He and Zara used to play around like this all the time. Wrestling, tickling, chasing each other. Like brother and sister, they were. Some had thought they were dating, but it wasn't true. Next to Sasha, Zara was probably his closest friend. It was good to have her here.

After a short breather, the two got up, straightened themselves up, and left the room. "So, you're rooming with Arian," he said as he locked his door. "And Adrien has the Chinese guy."

"Ugh, not Arian," he heard Zara say, with a roll of her eyes.

"Why? Who is she?"

"The girl who always hangs out with James," Zara explained, "She made me dump coleslaw on myself in the cafeteria earlier."

"What? How?" He knew the girl she was talking about. He didn't like her too much either. He remembered her siding with James the other night. As if she knew a thing.

Zara shrugged. "She has mind control powers, or something. I got back at her with lasagna, but I'd suggest you stay clear of her. And maybe James too. He seems fishy....he can read stuff with his crystal about you. Creepy, right?" The way she looked at him, Mikhail figured she was searching him....she probably wanted to know if James had gotten anything out of him. Well, he wasn't one to answer unasked questions, so he just nodded. "Yeah. Creepy."

"I know where Arian's room is," Zara said as they walked down the hall, "Do you need me to help you find Yao?"

Mikhail smiled. "Oui, cela m'aiderait beaucoup." And with that, the two walked through the school, searching for the Asian.

James

Finding a secluded area of the school, which James deemed would be the library because...who would go there, he waved Arian over to the corner and pulled his blue crystal out from under his shirt. He was excited, finally using his power for some true sleuthing.

"All right," he began, clutching the crystal and thinking quickly. "I've never done a school before...I don't know how this'll go..."

He concentrated and flashed a smile to Arian before closing his eyes and searching for any one image or idea he would find connected to the school. People were easier for some reason. He would have to concentrate on a person...like that teacher from yesterday...He found her image and traced her outline in his mind's eyes, reading her eyes and watching as she melted away into different pictures of empty rooms, files...GPS...maps...photos of all the students now enrolled at the school...

James held the crystal harder. This was tough. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, but all the files seemed suspicious and he strained to find any words that would help him figure out who was behind this school, was it an operation? He saw his own name on top of a piece of paper and briefly saw his parents names and a report of a fire. He wasn't sure what that meant.

Then he saw Arian's file. Information he already knew.

Then Mikhail's...Zoe's...He couldn't keep up. He couldn't read all the words before another would spring up in front of his face. Hallie's...Adrien's...Zara's...

The teacher returned. She was walking into an office it seemed, her red lipstick bright and smile dangerous. She approached the desk, the occupant of the chair unseen. All she said was, "They're here."

Suddenly gasping, James tugged out of the images and caught a deep breath, finding Arian holding his hand worryingly. He had never been stuck in a Scry before. He shook his head and felt a strange headache coming on. "Didn't...see much..." he managed to say, then winced and leaned against the bookshelves in pain.

Hallie

Unable to sleep and stomach feeling empty, Hallie pulled herself from bed, hair scraggly, eyelids drooping. She found her room key with a yawn, pulling at the hem of her shirt and decided she better eat and then find out when their next "class" was. Productivity was all she could accomplish without falling back into her mind and that dream...

When she turned after locking the dorm door closed she heard French voices down the hall and laughter. What she saw had he stopped short.

Mikhail?

This...truly...made her day.

The laughter erupted out of her like water from a fire hose and she collapsed against the door, holding her stomach against the quick coming aches. Her eyes were even watering from the sight and she shook her head. What a punishment! This school was so weird!

"Like your style, Misha," she teased, still unable to move from her laughs shaking her body.

Mikhail

Mikhail turned and saw Hallie laughing her ass off. Well, who wouldn't be, really?

"Merci," he said coyly, and said in a thick accent, "I think it fits me well, no?"

It probably was a sight. Even though he took his pants off, he was still wearing his converse and black socks. Punk French Maid! That was his vision!

"Although I'm beginning to think I should have let you taken the punishment after all," he said, as he neared her, Zara following, "I'd enjoy it a lot more if you were wearing this instead."

He saw Zara roll her eyes, but just grinned. "At least it'd be filled in," he joked to her. She glared at him, but couldn't help smiling, the episode from earlier no doubt still in her head.

He held out a hand to Hallie, who was very much incapacitated with her laughing fit. "We were just about to look for the Asian. Care to join?"
