Veera Williams

"I hate this. I really do."

0 · 348 views · located in PURITY: Correctional Camp

a character in “PURITY Correctional Camp”, as played by RainbowFace

Description

Image
Name:
Veera Williams

Age: (13-19)
19

Gender:
Unless I've been lied too my whole life, I'm pretty sure I'm female.

Sexual Orientation:
You couldn't guess? Lesbian

Personality:
Aside from her explosive temper, Veera is pretty quiet. She's on the "quirky" side, and her laugh is contagious. She's stubborn, with a temper to boot. The smallest thing can set her off, and no matter how hard she tries, she doesn't do a good job bottling up her anger. A lover of all things fluffy and cute, she tried her hardest to smuggle in her pet kitten into the camp with her. Unfortunately, her mother caught her before she could get out the door. This is also an example of her tendency to make rash decisions. She'll think of something, and think it's a great idea, but the outcome will often be catastophic. You'll often catch her listening to some indie music, and just...sitting around. She's obviously on the lazier side, but knows when to get up and do some work. When she'd bored, she'll often just sit around, or go to sleep. (She can sleep for hours on end) She has a bit of a smoking problem, but tries her best to hide it from the camp officials. She doesn't like to open up to others, and isn't very trusting.

History:
Born to a less-than amazing family, Veera isn't quite sure why she stayed with them after High School. Her family wasn't extremely religious, but they had a "We're relgious when it's convenient" attitude, and Veera doesn't find it ironic that she grew up to become an Athiest. Even since Veera was young, she had always had prefered womans company over a man's. Her first crush was a girl, and her first kiss was with one as well. Knowing that her parents would not approve, she hid it from them untill she was old enough to leave the house if they dissaproved of her. So, during the summer of her last year of school, Veera finally told her parents. Veera's parents reacted the way she though they would, appauled. What Veera didn't expect is that they would send her to a correction camp. She faught with all her might, but they still forced her to go.

So begins...

Veera held back a scream of relief as they reached the camp's gates. She had been sitting in a freezing car with crappy suspension for the past 6 hours. They passed a large cross with a bible verse scrawled in. Veera was to lazy to read it, yet sighed all the same. She was going to be surrounded by a group of God-Crazy maniacs for the summer. 'Oh joy... She wanted nothing more than to get out and stretch her legs, no matter where it was. When it actually came time to get out of the car...

"Mom! I don't want to go. I'm an adult, I can do whatever I want!" Veera grumbled, snatching her hand back from her mothers grasp. They had been arguing for the past 5 minutes, while a camp official stood on the sidelines, wating to take her name. There was a couple of girls staring at her outbursts, but she didn't care if she was attracting attention. She wasn't going, and that was final. Her mother came forward and flicked Veera's nose, somthing her mother often did when she was annoyed with Veera. Holding back a sigh, Veera sat forward, prepared to listen to her mother's rant.

"Veera, I swear to god- Veera cut her off, her voice raising an octave higher than before, her golden eyes boring holes in her mother. "No, Mom. I swear. I will never forgive you for this, ever! I'll go, but when I come back..." She trailed off, letting her words sink in. Narrowing her eyes, she grabbed the large duffle bag from the seat beside her, and hoisted herself up from the car, her converse sinking into soft dirt. The camp smelled of grass and pine, secluded in the middle of a forest. Pushing her glasses up her nose, she stomped away from her parents, and made her way to the camp official.

'Bye, Sweetie! Her mother called from behind her. Veera turned around, and flipped off her mother, a smug grin apon her face. Her mother simply sighed, and made her way back into the car. As she turned back to the official, she noticed the Woman's face was a pink color, her mouth twisted into a scowl.

'We don't use than kind of- Veera held up her hand, a small smile apon her lips. "I understand. Won't happen again." The woman paused, but eventaully nodded and asked her name.

"Veera...Veera Willams. That's two "E's" in Veera." The woman nodded once more, and pointed to a large cabin the the right of her. 'You'll be staying there, sweetie. Cabin Chastity" Veera frowned slightly, and made her way to the cabin, with no much as a "Thank You" to the woman. Making her way into the cabin, she noticed that only two other girls were here. One had bright blonde hair adorning her head, framing a pair of dull hazel eyes. The other was crying loudly into a pillow, and Veera was unable to see her featured correctly. Veera sighed and walked over to the sobbing girl, setting her duffle down.

Patting her on the back, Veera asked a very stupid question. "What's wrong?"

Lydia continued to cry, a bit less violently now, into her pillow until she felt a warm hand pat her back. Startled, she jumped up only to see a beautiful girl with long hair and glasses. "What's wrong?" the girl asked.

"What the fuck do you think is wrong?" Lydia barked, wiping her angry tears off her cheeks and straightening her shoulder-length hair that she'd been wanting to cut off into a pixie cut for a long time. "We're all stuck in this hellhole while psychotic Jesus-lovers are planning ways to change things we never even chose to be."

Realizing that she came off as really mean, Lydia apologized quickly. She didn't want to leave a bad first impression for the people she would be living with for the rest of the summer. She also felt a little guilty for snapping at someone she didn't even know yet. "Sorry..." she mumbled. "This is all just so overwhelming. I didn't even say anything to my parents, but whatever."

Lydia sat up straight and adjusted her plain white shirt and her denim shorts that found their way into a wedgie. "I'm Lydia. Lydia Wood." she said, now composed. "I'm usually not this emotional, I swear. I guess we'll be rooming together for the summer."

Veera ground her teeth togther as the smaller girl snapped at her, the girl's eyes gleaming with forgotten tears.

"We're all stuck in this hellhole, while psychotic Jesus-lovers are planning ways to change things we never even chose to be." Veera nodded, and patted the girls head in reassurance, knowing exactly how the girl felt.

"I know...I know...Trust me." Veera glanced at the girl quickly. Bright eyes surrounded by shoulder-length chestnut coloured hair. The girls eyes softened as she began to speak again.

"Sorry..." she mumbled. "This is all just so overwhelming. I didn't even say anything to my parents, but whatever. I'm Lydia. Lydia Wood. I'm usually not this emotional, I swear. I guess we'll be rooming together for the summer." Veera smiled softly as the girl sat up and adjusted herself. "I'm Veera...two "E's" She added the last part with a wink. In a sudden burst of insperation, Veera stood up, dragging the girl up with her.

"You look like you need some fresh air." She explained, noticing the girls surprised expression. "Well, I need a walk. It's a win-win situation!" With another wink, Veera pulled the girl through the cabin's wooden door, and out towards the small patch of forest to the left of their cabin, sticking out her tounge at the official who was shouting at them. Tree's flew past her as she ran, she yells of the officials slowly fading away.

Sam whistled no particular tune as she skipped on her way to Chastity Cabin, suitcase in hand, swinging back and forth in large pendulum-like sweeps. As she reached the designated building she pulled the door open and peered inside. A few of the beds were claimed by piles of belongings, but the room was otherwise void of people. Sam resumed her cheerful whistling as she slipped inside, tossing her suitcase on the first empty bunk.

Sam started slightly as the door slammed open and another girl ran in, flinging herself down on the lower bunk closest to the door. She pushed her face into the pillow and began to tremble with sobs. Not long after, the door swung open again and another girl entered. The new arrival cut across to comfort the crying girl, and her effort seemed to have an affect.

Sam's hands nestled into the swell of her hips and she marched over, leaning over to examine the puffy eyed girl.

"Hey, everything good?"

The girl, Veera, didn't react the way Lydia expected. Rather than being cold in return, Veera was, well, nice. After a not-awkward silence, she grabbed Lydia's hands and pulled her out the cabin with a strange sense of energy and enthusiasm. "You look like you need some fresh air. Well, I need a walk. It's a win-win situation!" she continued, one step ahead of Lydia.

What the hell is she doing? Lydia asked herself, but she wasn't annoyed. Rather, she was in shock and... Infatuated? She barely caught Veera's wink behind the glare on her glasses as they walked into the woods to the left.

"Where do you two think you're going?" one of the counselor's asked, assertively and obviously suspicious.

Lydia loved to be rebellious and break the rules. Especially when she was being disobedient and disrespectful toward a bunch of assholes she hated. She looked at Veera who stuck out her tongue at the official and started to laugh as they broke into a jog and then a sprint. Lydia stuck out her middle finger in the air and grabbed Veera's hand tighter as they ran past the trees and the man's voice was no longer audible. "Where exactly are we going?" Lydia asked between sharp breaths as she began to realize she hadn't looked at the map and had no idea where everything was in the camp. Then again, did she really care?

She ran her fingers through her sweaty hair and sighed, still grinning wide from the adrenaline rush. She always hated her hair and the way it fell down so sloppily around her face. "Hey," she said to Veera. "Dare me to cut my hair? I'll do it in the bathroom when we get back. It'd be like, y'know, a big 'fuck you' to the camp and my parents."

"Where exactly are we going?" Veera meerly shrugged, and continued running. The knot in her stomach slowly melted away, replaced by a sense of excitment. She had no idea where they were, but honestly, she didn't care one bit. The feeling of the wind rushing past her, and the adrenaline rush of disobeying the rules, Veera loved it. The smell of pine was in the air, and trees surrounded her from all sides.

'We're lost, arn't we?" She thought breathlessly. Eventually, after minutes of running, she eventually slowed to a steady walk, before stopping altogther, leaning against a thick tree. She looked back to the once-crying girl, a broad smile across her face.

"Freaking..." She paused, breathing deeply. "...Hey," she said to Lydia "...Awesome." She finished, laughing loudly. Wiping her forhead clean of sweat she leaned forward as the girl ran her fingers through her hair.

"Dare me to cut my hair? I'll do it in the bathroom when we get back. It'd be like, y'know, a big 'fuck you' to the camp and my parents. The girl asked, tugging on her chestnut hair. Veera's eyes widened in shock, then narrowed once more as she began to laugh again.

"C-Cut it? Hell yea! I'll even help you with it. Make it nice and choppy!" She winked, ruffling the girl's hair slightly with her hand.

"Hey, Sorry for dragging you out here. You seemed as though you needed to get out of there....The blonde chick didn't seem to happy that we ran off though..." She trailed off, mouth twisted into a smirk. She plopped down on the soft grass under here, motioning for the girl to sit.

"Honestly, I though this place was going to be my own personal hell. Surrounded by "Jesus-Freaks", as you put it," She paused, grinning at Lydia. "And being forced to change into somthing I don't want to be..." She trailed off, biting her thumb nail ravenously.

While Anastasia unpacked her bags she felt a presence watching her. She slowly glanced up and noticed she was indeed being watching. Her chest began to tighten as the girl began walking closer to her. 'Oh no...she is a approaching me. Anastasia calm down. calm down. She probably wants to say hello' She thought to herself. When the girl came in front of her, she slowly turned sound, looking at the ground.

The girl introduced herself and told her if there was anything she needed, to come to her. Anastasia's heart fluttered as she was told this. Her voice was soft and gentle. She then looked up to meet kind eyes. She nervously played with her fingers before giving her introduction. "Hello.."She said quietly." My name is Anastasia, it's nice to meet you." She saw a smile on the girls face and that gave her the courage to speak more. "And thank you for your offer. I really appreciate it." She said with smile. She was going to say more before she felt a little pressure in her pelvic region. She had forgotten to use the restroom after the long trip and her nervousness reminded her of the. She looked back at the girl apologetic."I'm sorry, I have to go somewhere for a minute. I will be right back." She said with a smile. She then turned to leave the cabin to find a restroom.

As she was looking around she noticed 3 girls talking and laughing loudly. They were breathing hard as though they were running 'They must be from the other cabin.' She thought. She Anastasia looked beyond them saw what could be the restroom. Her heart sped. It would mean she would have to pass the girls in order to get there. Too nervous to walk, she stood there trying to build up courage. 'Should I just say hi? What if they get annoyed with me saying that?' She continued to think without realizing how much time had passed. After she looked up she noticed the girls were out of site but she could still hear them. She then looked around and noticed she had gotten herself lost.

One of the girls whisked the other out of the cabin before she had a chance to respond, that is, if she had even heard. Sam blinked, arms falls back at her sides. She turned back, shoulders lifting in a shrug.

"Well they sure got along well." A smirk pulled at the corners of her mouth as she hoisted herself up onto her bunk. "I'm jealous. But hey, throwing a bunch of 'confused' kids into a secluded camp in the middle of nowhere? Some juicy stuff is bound to happen!" She spoke outloud without a censor on her volume, or the evident thrill in her voice.
e
She scanned the cabin, and when she came up with nothing particularlly intriguing to occupy her time with, she slid off of the bunk and ambled back to the door she had entered through, pushing it open and emerging back into the thickening heat. The sun beat down against the camp from directly overhead, Sam noted. Which meant it must have been around noon, almost time for the first assembly.

As soon as she had exited the comfort of the air conditioned cabin Sam spotted a girl. She would have been hard to miss with her striking pink hair. She looks like a sufficient victim. Sam thought, smirk resurfacing. "Yo!" She greeted, approaching her.

Jakob was riding in his mother's car, just staring out the window. "You know, I still can't believe you're sending me to a fucking camp."

"LANGUAGE!" His mother scolded him. "You know that homosexuality is a si-"

"Yeah, yeah," He rolled his eyes. "It's a sin. Even though it's not a big deal, it's a bloody sin." He saw the camp come up along the road and the car took a half at the front gate. He saw a counselor run towards them. Oh, great He thought, Overly happy camp counselors. He gave a fake grin to the counselor and his mother went up to introduce Jakob to the counselor.

"Hello!" The counselor said with a smile. "I'm Faith, and might I ask who your son is?"

"Jakob." Jakob said with a fake grin. "Jakob Halkoom. Also, it's J-A-K-O-B." He hated it when everyone spelled his name as 'Jacob'.

"Okay, Jakob! You'll be in...Chastity Cabin." The counselor said with another smile, and Jakob looked at his mom. He didn't say a word, he just glared at her. His mother glared back, got back in the car, and just left. Jakob looked back at the counselor. "Well, I guess I'll be on my way." He took the map from the counselor, looked at it. "Okay, see ya." He walked away towards the cabin, his briefcase in his arm. He didn't care what anyone thought about him, he just wanted to get the hell out of this place.
(*looks at intro again* Erm...wait...I didn't see that...do I need to delete Jakob?)
