Name:
Eridanus Rival Issac Caydon

Nickname:
It's quite easy to assume that to the students it's Professor Caydon; Eric to the teachers, however Erid and Issac are both used as well. Augustus was an old, long-used alias, the headmaster's dropped it of late.

Age:
Around 1000

Power:
Immortality, his age does suggest this, especially with his "Dorian Gray" appearance. Eric is blessed with youth and almost unfailing good health. Eric's invulnerable and quite resilient. Eric can still feel pain.

Sexuality:
Heterosexual: Eric considered his first 500 years or so to be his "experimental" phase but he has well since settled in his orientation. Unfortunately his objects of affection cannot stave away the calling of age the way his power has and so he has found himself less inclined to enter into lasting relationships, knowing they cannot exist for him.

Which Side?:
A purely Neutral character, Switzerland for the bilateral academy. What often is the case, Eric advises both shades of the student and academic body.
Eric preserves the peace. Safety is paramount to Eric for all students and teachers.

Likes:
Old novels
Writing in his journal (He has around 100 journals that he wrote in the past and he keeps them in his office)
All types of music
Sex and flirting
Indian food
Cooking
Travelling
A good game of Lacrosse
Alcohol
Dancing - His oldest hobby
Banana milkshake - The flavor is nectar to him
Writing in the air - He's not a wizard, he's not casting a spell, he's just trying to form things collectively in his mind, there are centuries to organize.
Gaming - His latest craze
Violin - He has gotten quite good
Technology - It's always good to keep up
Napping - With nothing but time on his hands napping doesn't seem so wasteful

Dislikes:
Disruptions - Especially when it involves his sleep
Meat - He just has never had the stomach for it
The World Wars - The desperation has left a mark on Eric
Violence - He's seen enough of it in his life
Birds - They really do seem to have it out for Eric
"Spot Season" - A week of the year is dedicated to Eric's cellular regeneration, he looks like a teenager, must be immortality's cruel joke
Marking - He prefers oral feedback
Spiders
Squeaky noises.. but that comes under disruptions.

Fears:
Relationships - The fear of that kind of loss his heavy
Tattoos - They really do last forever
Prison - If he was ever to be forgotten about...

Personality:
Eric has a skeptical nature and see's the world in layers, this often makes him unusually perceptive, at least for the details that count. The Headmaster can be found taking his morning, pre-noon, noon, afternoon and evening naps by an aged tree on grounds, with either a laptop or one of his many violins. Many would see his laid back approach as apathy and they wouldn't be entirely wrong, he aims to guide, not lead; he does care though. Eric experiences great mood swings, it might just be a side effect for living so long; he finds napping/ alcohol a pretty sound cure for this though. Eric is no longer as blunt as he previously was, it has taken SOME TIME though. One thing Eric prides himself is his humor and approach-ability, try him. He just enjoys a good time, and resting around campus - However there are great works between the shades. Yes he did create the rules and yes he's broken everyone, not really much of an authority figure as more a blur between the lines.

History:
History for Eric began in 1028 in Norway. He had many brothers and sisters, working and living the farm life. At the age of 2 his father left to clash steel in the historic Battle of Stiklestad, though he never returned. The family was left to Eric's older siblings, managing what his grief stricken mother could not. In the later days, Eric pursued medicine in Finland, close to home. Over the years Eric's family began to take note of his constant youth, and what started as mild amusement turned into pure scared confusion. The world at the time was rife with witches and superstition, and the connection between Eric and those beliefs were to the family, a logical conclusion.
Though his family loved him, they couldn't deny the supernatural and Eric was hung, then burnt (alive, after the hanging failed to kill him). The taste of his tongue melting in an aroma of suffocating ash was unforgettable. His charred body was dumped into the North sea afterwards. Deep in the ocean Eric had recovered, only one question buzzing inside, "what am I?"
His little sister, saw an apparition of Eric weeks later. At least she claimed it was. There was no malice in his voice, just comforting words and a warm embrace. It was the last time any member of his family saw him, though he hovered in background at each funeral.
Spain marked a new lease for Eric, though he chose to keep pursuing medicine through the decades (there was a lot of advancement), it had fallen to more a past time. Eric was an explorer, and there were languages to consume.
It was during this time that he met a man posing as a travelling magician. Jewa Maldoy. The difference with Jewa being that he was a telekinetic, the first gifted person, Eric had encountered. It didn't take long for Eric and Jewa to be great friends, holding secrets neither had expressed to many before. Their priorities changed before long and Spain was left behind on their search for answers about their powers.

Though they uncovered many things, Jewa was mortal and that time approached. His final words were "continue..."

20 million died in what was now 1348, the Black Plague was sweeping Europe. Eric did what he could but it wasn't a great deal besides catching black plague. In 1509 Eric found himself in England working in an estate under the Groundskeeper Thomas Maldoy, a late descendant of Jewa's family. There was much to learn around England at time and it was comforting to have a Maldoy. By 1540 the feudal system had broken down and many relationships Eric had formed, had aged considerably or had died, including Maldoy. Eric disappeared from the estate and the town which was growing in its wake..

The years rolled on, and so too did world events: Eric fought with a band of "gifted" in WW1 that he had assembled himself - the headhunter on two fronts as he had begun to get quite adept at finding gifted... the front was a sniper rifle and the enemy rued that. After the war Eric vanished and it wasn't until 1945 that Eridanus resurfaced and it turned out to be in America, merely weeks after World War 2 ended. It was later found that Eric had settled in eastern France after falling for a local during his travels. The affair turned tragic after her ancestry had been divulged to invading forces and Eric found himself stricken with feelings he still cannot let go. He attributes those actions following the years until his return to America in 1945 as "Not my own". He doesn't dwell or judge that period, in fact he pure and simply blocks it out.
The Cold War, The Seven Years War and The Thirty Years War are all other notable wars Eric has participated in. Identity was never a real issue until the late 20th century, Eric would often us an alias, such as Augustus or such to separate periods of time and excuse his youth. The world had been his oyster and he had traversed it's plains well but the world was moving and it was sudden impulse that gave him what he truly wanted, a home. He wont say how he had land, another tale for another time but he had land.

Having land in the States marked a new chapter for Eric, a lot had changed since the warring sequential factions of old. It was in the hustle of the dynamic cities sprouting around that Eridanus was inspired and designed his legacy - The Maldoy Academy . He spent a lot of time on and off the project from 1953 until 1975 when it was finally complete. The planning for the opening was long underway; the years teaching at Maldoy have settled him greatly but we all love surprises...

Theme Song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zHRJV5_kGs

Anything else:
As Eridanus is a constant he finds that he makes friends with "houses" and families than individuals (those he reveals his gift to), this in turn gives him more constant friends."We are never just odd or even." Try to understand Eric, now the building will reflect. Eric has degrees in genetics and sociology.

So begins...

The beginning of last night was pretty much terrible for the young Italian girl. She had to hear all about how her brother had found who he wanted to marry and how she should really be thinking about which one of the three millionaires she wanted to be the wife of once turning eighteen. But, since she had court consent seeing that her father pretty much ruled half of Italy she could get married as early as a few months. Anastacia hated being alone in her room, but it gave her time to just think about what she was going to do about Cheveyo. She was more in love with him than ever which made it harder for her to tell her parents. What would they do if they were to find out? Would they take her away from Maldoy? Or would they go to her weak point and try to harm her Chevy. Whenever she thought about her being taken back home, she always worried about Cheveyo moving on soon after and forgetting all about the love they shared. Her friends always said she was worried about nothing, that Cheveyo was in love with her as much as she was with him. But, those friends were suppose to make her feel better seeing that they were her best friends. Chelle always said that Ana worried too much about little things and things that were never going to happen but, it doesn't mean it eased her anymore. What did ease her was when Cheveyo came to her room and they just laid together, talking. Not really doing anything overly risqué. They mostly just snuggled with each other and talked. Not saying that they didn't kiss but, nothing more really happened. And, it just so happened that they both fell asleep and Cheveyo ended sleeping with her in her queen size bed. With her head on his chest and him snoring louder than anyone else she had ever met in her sixteen years of life.

But, she had gotten used to it after a while. Besides, her father always told her that a real man snored. Which may be why her twin brother, Felix doesn't snore. Either way, Cheveyo snored, but she knew he worked a lot the day before, which made him tired. Besides whenever he worked too hard, Ana rewarded him with giving him little kisses all over his face and neck. But, that was the night before, now it was the morning and after adjusting herself on his chest as she woke up and let off a soft yawn just in case her boyfriend wasn't awake yet. She let out a small smile and started to open her wide eyes. When she did, she looked up at Cheveyo and let out a big smile as she looked at him still sound asleep. Which of course made her chuckle a small bit. She slipped out of her bed with ease, trying her hardest not to wake him up. Especially since it was early in the morning and in her opinion, she didn't look good in the morning. Her long golden locks were pulled back in a high ponytail, no make-up on, and she was wearing nothing but her undergarments and an extra large (at least on her) University of Milan dark blue hoodie that she had gotten Cheveyo over break when she went home for couple weeks. She sat up in her bed and looked Once getting out of her bed, she kissed Cheveyo's cheek before she walked over to her closet to see what she wanted to wear for the day. As she opened the large wooden doors of her closet and looked through her many skirts and lightly colored short sleeve shirts. She loved the summer time! It gave her an excuse to wear her skirts and her heels. The two favorite things in her wardrobe. And, it wasn't to hot in Colorado during the summer. She didn't mind Cheveyo much if he had woken up, they have been together long enough for her to get used to changing in the same room as him. She grabbed out a black skirt, a white short sleeve shirt, a hat of hers and her favorite pair of red heels. She turned around to look at Cheveyo, making sure he was sleeping before she turned back around towards her closet

Besides, she had a lot to think about. She had to worry about the fact that she could be called home any given day off to marry someone she didn't even know, she was worried that maybe her father would find out about her and Cheveyo within the next two weeks when the parents were being allowed to visit. And on top of everything else, she has told Chev anything about this, not wanting him to stress about it like she was. Sure, he knew about the whole marriage thing, she couldn't keep that big of a secret from her boyfriend of over a year but he didn't know about the tiny details that she was too afraid to tell him at least right now. And today, wasn't a good day, not with her having a roommate for the first time, having to get all her classes sorted out, not to mention the masquerade tonight... Yea, no. She wasn't going to ruin their night. She slipped off the hoodie, putting in the drawer that had a couple other clothes of Cheveyo's. She looked back out her dresses and decided that since is was a little windy to wear a white dress with a brown jacket over it. She was so deep in thought she honest forgot she was in front of her boyfriend, changing. She slipped on the dress and black tights before slipping the sweater over it. She twirled in the mirror and began nip picking everything about her appearance. The last touch she added was her mother's old and beloved diamond heart necklace. She looked at herself and tilted her head wondering how Cheveyo was with such a immature looking young girl. She had mature thinking but, in her mind she thought she looked like a child.

She walked into her rather large restroom before She took about five minutes to do her make up and finally looked at her outfit. in the full length mirror. She gave herself a small grin before opening the door and walking out into her room, letting her heels hitting the wooden floor as she walked over to her still sleeping boyfriend. She kissed him lightly on the lips before speaking, trying to wake him up. “Chevy, babe. It's time to get up.” She told him as she let her hand run through his hair a bit.

"Mom! Mom! It's time to get up." Ariana let out a groan as she hear her daughter yelling in her ear, trying to wake her. “I'm up. Ok?” She said as she opened her eyes and blinked them fast in order to get them adjusted to the sunlight entering through her white curtains. She let out a sigh as turned towards her daughter who was sitting on the desk, swinging her legs back and forth which was set up next to her bed. "Morning mommy." the now twelve year old girl said to her mother who did not look like she was in a good mood. Ariana cleared her voice before sitting up in her king size bed and stretching her arms backwards. She sighed looking at her daughter and leaned over to her daughter to kiss her small forehead. “Morning, sweetie.” She said before seeing the little girl wipe the kiss off of her forehead and looking at her mother. "Mom, stop it. I'm not a baby anymore." Ariana rolled her eyes and stood up, letting her feet touch the cold ground before messing up her daughter's hair. “Saoirse McQuillen, you are twelve year old. Not twenty.” She said to her daughter in a serious voice before getting a smile on her face. God, her daughter was getting older. She couldn't believe her little baby was growing up so fast.

Now, she felt old. And she was only twenty six! She saw her daughter get a small smirk on her face as she watched her mother walk over to her closet and pick out an outfit. "Mom, you should wear that new pink jacket you got. I think Eric would like it." Ariana let a chuckle out as she thought in her head, "Here we go." She looked at her daughter and tried to hide the rose color on her cheeks. “Saoirse, two things I have to tell you from that sentence. Number one: His name is Professor Caydon or Mr. Eridanus. And two: He is my boss and friend, not my boyfriend.” She said with a smirk on her face as she bent down towards her daughter's face. "For right now he is." Saoirse said in a teasing voice. Ariana just chuckled with her daughter as she grabbed out an outfit and walked over to the bathroom door before noticing her daughter behind her. She looked at her daughter with a raised eyebrow before speaking with her slight Irish accent. “And, you going where exactly?” Her daughter shrugged. "I don't know, can you do my hair?" Ariana smiled and nodded as the two walked into the large bathroom.

Her daughter took a seat on a chair Ariana had put in their just for that purpose. To fix her daughter's hair. She went behind her daughter and began to braid her long brown hair into a fishtail braid. About five minutes later she was done perfecting it and showed her daughter. “Do you like it, sweetie?” She asked her daughter before having her daughter give her a big hug and nod. "Thanks mom. I'm gonna go get some breakfast with a few friends." Ariana hugged her daughter back before letting her go and exit Ariana's large bedroom. Finally, she could get herself ready for her classes. She had the whole year planned already and knew exactly what plays and musicals they were going to do this year. One, which the students all told her they wanted to do; The Phantom of the Opera. So, of course, she gave in to her students. And what songs she would like to do for the acapella group on campus She slipped into the shower and turned on the warm water before she began to sing Adele's Chasing Pavements. After ten minutes, she turned the water off and stepped out, reaching for one of her two pearl white towels. She dried herself off and began to slip on her floral undergarments and then her clothes. By the time she had gotten everything on, her hair was dye and all she head to do was curl it a bit with her hair curler. She looked herself up and down in the mirror and grin at what she saw. She walked out of her room after grabbing her agenda papers and purse.

She walked next door to her daughter's room to see that she was still in their reading the book she kept with her everywhere. “I thought you were getting breakfast.” Her daughter just shrugged walked over to her mom and closed her door with the cute little nameplate that said Princess Saoirse on it with pink and green letter, which was a gift to her for her twelve birthday from one of the teachers. "I wanted to see what you were going to wear. Now, come on. Let's go." Ariana raised an eyebrow at her daughter as they began to walk together as Ariana waved towards some teachers who she was close to. They made their way to the main building that held things like the cafeteria, the gymnasium, the auditorium, and of course the headmaster's office. When they walked past Eric's office, Ariana wanted to see if he was in his office, say hello and maybe ask him to breakfast. But then she had to remind herself that he was rarely in his office, especially in the morning. Ariana looked at her daughter as she cleared her throat softly. "Mom, do you want to say hi to Mr. Eridanus?" Ariana shook her head before she began walking towards cafeteria. “He's probably really busy right now.” Her daughter shook her head and pouted. "But, it's the morning. No one's busy this early in the morning!" Ariana sighed as the group walking into the already loud and busy cafeteria. “Tell you what, I'll invite him to breakfast and we'll see what happens.” The Irish woman told her small daughter who smiled and nodded before hurrying to the breakfast line. Ariana released sigh before taking phone out of her purse and went to the first number on her speed dial, Eric.

Would you like to join Saoirse and I for breakfast?

She sent the text to him, not really thinking that he was going to respond but she told her daughter that would at least invite him.

OOC: The other two will be up soon.

Eric's phone came alive.

BuZzZzZ "I've got a feeling, that tonights gonna be a good night, that tonights gonna be..."

The darkness quaked around Eric until he squinted his eye lids open, beams of light filled the room from the window and Eric rose wearily. "Ok, I know I'm not in my room. So whose room begs the question?" Eric peered around but stopped when he caught a glance of something outside high up.Gabe... He shielded his eyes with an arm, "You should do that at lunch!" Eric shouted, "You'll get more attention!" It was clear Gabriel couldn't hear though that was quite obvious by the two inch thick glass, but Eric smirked and shook his head regardless, That shy airborne fox. That reminds me. "You still owe twenty from bowling!" Finished with wasting breath Eric resumed his goal of deciphering his location. I wasn't drinking... "Great." Eric flung his arms up grumpily, "I killed myself again!" Eric noticed mops and brooms. "And in a broom closet of all places!" Fortunately for Eric, dying leaves him immaculately clean, so showering wasn't his greatest concern.

BuZZZzzZ "I've got a fee.."

The phone excited itself but Eric was awake this time and caught it before it sommersalted from the janitors desk."Now, what early mischief has..." Eric muttered, scrolling through.

Would you like to join Saoirse and I for breakfast?

Eric looked at his watch, "Darn." Eric, grabbed his coat, which had been laying precariously. No time. No visible blood. late. What DID I do last night? He slam the door as he rushed out.

Lucky I'm not the headmaster or anything, I might be in serious trou... darn. Eric would have quickend his pace but the kids could sort themselves out he guessed and he wouldn't be teaching in any serious capacity today anyway. Meet & greet day. Gliding around a corner Eric notices a wavy haired boy standing front of a woman, Ariana. Eric's pulse skipped, surprised by the encounter.

Code red! Code red! Old teacher approaching! Despite his best efforts to telepathically signal a man he recognized as the local Headman, Professor Caydon, that he was in the middle of an introduction, it was no use. Dude simply could not take a hint. Or maybe Aiden didn't have telepathic powers. Whatever the case, he made sure not to reveal how disappointed he was at missing a golden opportunity - though he was genuinely surprised to learn that she was a professor. She was what, twenty-two? How did she get a teaching degree that young?

Aiden rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Maybe next time. Unless you still want to come with? It could always be the thr-" He paused and glanced at the little girl not far away. "The four of us. More the merrier, right?" Sure, why not? He liked kids. And he really was hungry. Flashing another charming smile he turned to follow the Headman toward what he assumed was the cafeteria, judging by all the noise he somehow had not heard like a minute ago. Probably too distracted trying not to seem like he was hitting on Professor McQuillen.

"So Aiden. I heard it's your treat."

The sentence snapped Aiden out of his musings. He really had to stop getting his head lost in the clouds. The teenager nodded, shrugging a bit. He could afford it. "Actually, do we pay for these? Or are they complimentary?" He shook his head. "I'll find some way this is on me, just you wait. I- Hey, is that the breakfast table?" His thoughts were stolen away entirely by the sight of a table loaded from one end to the distant other with all kinds of breakfast foods, ranging from local food to foreign. His mouth watered and his stomach grumbled, and he only then realized that he was really, really hungry. Granted, he ate like an hour ago, but then he ran a half-hour run in twelve seconds and that built up an appetite. "I'll just be a minute."

After dropping his bag off at a nearby empty table, thereby marking it as no longer empty, Aiden grabbed a tray from a nearby pile and began stacking everything within arm's reach. "Mmm, I could really go for some waffles right now. Hey, are those blueberry? Oh! Pancakes! Woah, check out all that toast. Think I'll get a few different spreads. Isn't that the Russian stuff? Always wanted to try that. And some of those. And that. And those! Definitely those. Hey, check this out..." As he went on he started speeding up, both his arms and his voice, until the former were a blur of motion and the latter a buzz of chatter that no human ear could pick more than a few words out of. Sometimes he filled up the tray and had to drop it off at his table and go back for another just to hold all the food he grabbed.

By the time Hurricane Aiden had passed the full length of the table there were six trays at theirs loaded down with every imaginable breakfast from bacon to spring rolls to apples to cereal bowls. Most impressively he had managed to stuff them all from end to end and move them at super speed to his table without dropping or spilling anything. It was a speedster thing. Rubbing his hands together and grinning at the prospect of so much grub, Aiden turned to the others and asked "So, what're you guys having?"

Jessie felt Elsie try to wake her, but not being much of a morning person it took her another 2 hours to get up. She saw it was 7:00 already so she got out from under her mint green blanket and, in her lavender flannel pajamas, walked over to her own wardrobe , which was already covered in various stickers depicting things from hummingbirds to video game controllers. After turning on the main light for the room she looked through her wardrobe for some nice clothes for the day. Hmm... Aha! Perfect. She pulled out a short dress she wore more as a t-shirt that was made of fabric, but looked like paper as it was filled with Alice in Wonderland segments that were barely readable. Then she pulled on a pair of diamond patterned stockings and put a some beige shorts over those. She yawned, and as she tied the laces of her sand shoes she asked a spider in the corner of the room where Elsie had gone. The metal girl went to the food castle to meet the shield boy. Jessie grinned as she remembered the animals at the academy's quaint behavior towards humans, as they often saw their super powers and named them by that. So Elsie was metal girl because her power was technomancy. She also recalled that the smaller animals called the cafeteria the food castle. She giggled, glad to be back at Maldoy Academy. "Alright. Thanks Herbie. Um, you remember to steer clear of the people I told you about last year okay?" She smiled as the little huntsman spider nodded, and she picked up her satchel with her things in it and walked down to the cafeteria, checking the time on her iPhone as she left the room. 7:05. I'm in good time. That's good.

Jessie pondered as she walked down the hallway, hearing the sounds of other students waking up to get to breakfast. She didn't pay much attention to the sounds though, too busy thinking about the upcoming year for her at the academy. Maybe I should try to make some proper friends this year, rather than just be acquaintances with people. I should also really try and get ahead in my studies. Maybe practice my pranking and mischievous skills too. But only after I'm sure who's who this year. Don't get ahead of yourself Jessie, only get ahead in studies, remember? She sighed, and saw a new face talking to Ms. McQuillen. She snickered slightly as she heard him remark about his looks. She quickly hurried down to the cafeteria before he heard or saw the one responsible for the snicker. She was about to turn into the cafeteria when a small sparrow hopped up to her, and chirped loudly.

I hurt my wing! Jessie sighed. "How is it you always manage to hurt yourself? I can't always be here to help you you know." The little bird shrugged, then winced and chirped sharply, her wing hurting. Jessie sat down against the wall, lifted the bird onto her lap, and closed her eyes. She breathed deeply and her conscience went into the little bird. Jessie put the bird's own conscience into a corner of its mind. She identified the broken bone and got out of the sparrow’s mind. She pulled out a hanky from her bag and wrapped it around the bird’s wing. “Okay, once I’ve finished my breakfast I’ll take you to the healing lady alright? But you really gotta stop breaking stuff.” She looked down at the little bird, making sure it understood. It nodded, and she lifted it onto her shoulder. I hope Ms. Winters will help. Even though this bird can be a total twit, I don't want her to be hurt.

She entered the cafeteria, and looked around to see that not many students were up. She got a tray and walked down the serving area. There was a wide arrangement of foods. She saw the bird open its beak out of the corner of her eye and spoke before it could. “No, we’re not getting the sesame bun.” She closed her beak. Jessie decided to go for pancakes with maple syrup, a nectarine and a chai latte. She looked around, and was about to take a seat, possibly next to Gabriel, when a blue blur flashed past her. She took a step back and looked at the cause of the blur. It was the new kid, and he had a tray full of food. She tutted and put down her own tray on his table as she sat down in front of him. “You know, if you want to make friends in this school you gotta be careful what you do and who you do it to.” She smiled and pretended to look down at her phone under the table. She closed her eyes and entered a small squirrel, and scurried over to the new boy and jumped on to his shoulder, then his head. Happy with his reaction, she returned the squirrel to its tree, but not before leaving an acorn on his shoulder. When she returned to her body, Jessie tried to hold in her laughter from seeing the new kid’s reaction. She looked up, and smiled. “My name’s Jessie Garlow, on the so called evil list. Pleased to make your acquaintance.” She smiled and plucked a spring roll from his tray before munching down on it. “Mmm, this is new. So are you actually. What’s your name?” She raised an eyebrow, continuing to eat the spring roll.

Just as Aiden was sitting down to enjoy a nice, big breakfast, he was mildly surprised to find a hot girl was sitting down next to him. He knew he was handsome, but he just got here! Normally it took a bit longer before girls started approaching him. “You know," she said, "if you want to make friends in this school you gotta be careful what you do and who you do it to.”

After a moment's thought Aiden realized he'd probably just rushed by her, in such a hurry to start eating that he hadn't even noticed. He smiled at her apologetically. He was usually smiling in one form or another, it was kind of a default expression for him. "Oh, did I-? Man, I'm so sorry. Totally forgot to look where I was going. The super-speed thing kind of runs away with me sometimes." He paused. "Did I just make that pun? Ugh, painful. Now I'm sorry twice over. I swear I'm better than this when I'm less hungry."

It was at this moment that he realized she might not have been paying full attention to him. In fact she looked like she was focusing on something under the table - her cellphone maybe? But just as Aiden was about to lean back and check, a squirrel ran through a nearby window, skipped across the table (somehow navigating several trays laden with delicious food without once taking a bite of anything) ran up his arm and hopped up off his shoulder to come to a stop right atop his head, looking down at his face as if to say And what do you say to that, hm? Aiden knew exactly what to say to that: "Please don't poop on me." Spoken blankly, with no hint of either fear or challenge.

The squirrel seemed to consider this an acceptable response, for it hopped down again, dropped an acorn on his shoulder and scurried off back from whence it came, once again deftly dodging past every plate and bowl on every tray. "Wow," Aiden remarked, "that was random. I guess animals love me as much as people do." He grinned, plucked the acorn, considered it for a few moments, then bit off the part below the cap and munched on it happily. No sense wasting such a nice gift. And if he milked it a bit for comedic, almost cartoonish effect, so much the better. He did love to make people laugh.

“My name’s Jessie Garlow, on the so called evil list. Pleased to make your acquaintance.” Once again Aiden was distracted from his own antics by the realization that the girl formerly known as 'the hot girl sitting next to him' and now as Jessie was saying words, and he should probably listen. Unfortunately she was also eating his food, so the first thing he ended up saying was a low, muttered whine of "Hey, my spring roll..." Apparently not hearing this, Jessie went on, “Mmm, this is new. So are you actually. What’s your name?”

Aiden shook his head and refocused on the subject at hand. "Did I never introduce myself?" He asked, only then realizing it. Then he facepalmed. "Manners. That's what I forgot to pack. There's always something, y'know?" He smiled again, reaching out to shake her hand. "I have the honor of being Aiden Dyre, and apparently good. Who knew?"

Jason Martin Blake

And of course Michael couldn't even be bothered to pay attention to a few simple rules. Jason was not in the least surprised. He seemed more interested in something he had seen through the window - a cursory scan of his surface thoughts (the ones he heard when he heard himself think) revealed it to be a girl in a nearby dormitory, clad only in a towel. Really? Typically Jason didn't care one way or the other where Michael's eyes wandered or what he thought about, but he did not like having to repeat himself. Nevertheless, he thought as he left the room, there isn't time enough to coach him right now. That could take as much as half an hour if he is as stubborn as I have observed him to be. I need to have my breakfast and get ready for my first class of the semester. I can not be late because of his wandering eyes. I will simply have to deal with this tonight.

However it seemed he was not destined to have such a simple morning. As he was making his way down the corridors toward the cafeteria his walk was interrupted by a loud exclamation by a nearby woman - deceptively young at a glance, but on closer examination perhaps in her early- or mid-twenties. Possibly around thirty with good healthcare. "Damn it, damn it, damn it. I'll never find the stupid bloody room." Jason resisted the urge to roll his eyes. She was hardly a student, unless she looked quite old for her age. A staff member should have better impulse control. Clearly she was new here; she ought to be making a better first impression. Nevertheless, a glance at his watch revealed Jason still had a good fifteen minutes before he needed to be in the cafeteria. He had time.

In a few quick strides he was standing just a handful of paces from the young woman desperately casting about for whatever room she was hoping to find. He cleared his throat to catch her attention. "Perhaps I may be of some assistance," Jason offered politely. "My name is Jason Blake and I am a student of this school. I have been for some time. As I know the layout of the campus, I could offer my services as a guide to your destination, if you wish."

"Manners. That's what I forgot to pack. There's always something, y'know?" He smiled, reaching out to shake her hand. "I have the honor of being Aiden Dyre, and apparently good. Who knew?"Jessie shook the new kid Aiden's hand. She was still snickering slightly from his reaction."Well, like I said, pleased to meet you Aiden." She grinned, and finished the spring roll. "So anyway, I guess your power's super speed huh. Well that's pretty cool!" She stuck her fork into her pancake, and cut a bit off, the maple syrup rolling off it's side. She took a bite, and made a little sound of joy. "Man I love pancakes. They must have changed the recipe though, they taste different." She swallowed and reverted her attention to Aiden. "Super speed's gonna come in handy around here. You'll always seem be at least a tiny bit late for any class, even if only by a minute." She gestured her fork at him and tilted her head in what she hoped made her look old and wise. Kind of.

"This is only my second year, but that's still a year, you know?" Jessie pulled out her iPhone in her Totoro case and checked the time. "Classes will start in a little while, I could be your guide around the school if you like? It's a big building and I still sometimes get lost, but a little help on who's who and what's what is still help right?" She smiled and looked around the cafeteria through her hands which she'd shaped into little binoculars, and craned her neck. She pulled a silly posh face, and put on a voice like an English nature channel presenter. "Here, we see the herd of Hormonius Teenagus, gathering around the communal food source. And look! The leader of the herd, named Proffessor Caydon, is arriving now. If asked, any of them would say they were thinking about the masquerade ball tonight." She chuckled at her own joke. My voices are getting better! Jessie put her hand binoculars "away" in her satchel. The bird on her shoulder tweeted something softly to her, and she frowned. "No." The bird then lowered it's head awkwardly and jumped down onto the floor to get some crumbs. Jessie looked back at Aiden and smirked. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. I can talk to animals because my power's Animal Possession" She grinned as she saw it dawn on Aiden's face who exactly the squirrel was.

"So. What do you want to know first?"

Aiden listened, smiling and occasionally feeling the need to interject. "Late? Pssh. I don't know the meaning of it. I do almost everything fast." He paused for effect. "Almost." Innuendo? That would imply subtlety. Later on, he whispered "Crikey" in his best Crocodile Hunter voice as Jessie talked about the Hormonius Teenagus. He also took a moment while she was putting her equipment away to wave Professors Caydon and McQuillen over to the table, plus the as-yet-unnamed girl with them. They seemed a bit busy grabbing food through the throngs of teenagers around them.

"So," he surmised once she revealed her part in the squirrel thing, "basically you gave me that acorn? Thanks! I was hungry." He smiled broadly. Two of the six trays full of food that he had brought with him to the table were empty and he was already working his way through a third. He stopped suddenly with a pancake halfway up to his mouth. You could almost hear the gears in his head come to a halt as he realized something. "Wait. Did you say 'Masquerade?' We're having a masquerade? When? Where? Is it full costumes or suits and masks?" He was already imagining his own outfit. One of those long coats with a collar and a hood inside the collar, like that guy from Dishonored... Whatshisface with the mask. Only he'd wear a different mask. Just because he liked the coat didn't mean he was going to copy.

"Is there a town nearby? Do they have a store you can buy costumes? Or really cool clothes? Bet I could be there and back between classes. Want me to pick you up something? Damn, going too fast. One sec." He took a deep breath, realizing he'd gotten all excited again. Sometimes that caused him to pick up speed. A lot. Usually it happened while he was running, but now and again he'd hear about something or see something that was just too cool and his inner child took to it like a candy store. After a few moments he released the air in his lungs, now back to normal, and smiled apologetically before munching on his pancake to give her some time to reply.

Ariana looked at her sleek black IPhone before looking at a couple of other messages by students who were wanting to become professors asking if they could sit in on her class. Which she never said no to and most of the student knew that. Which is why they came to her. s soon as she caught sight of who she believed was a student. She never has seen him before, coming to the conclusion that he must have been a new student. She knew most, if not all the students at least by last name if not first. She watched from the corner of her eye as he crossed over towards her quicker than anyone she has really seen. “Super speed.” Once he cleared his throat she looked up at him with a smile. “Hey. 'Scuse me.” She looked at him before hearing him speak again. “Beautiful, I know,” She raised an eyebrow before chuckling a bit. She have had students flirt with her before and to be frank, she didn't think it was too bad. She wasn't one to flirt with underage boys or ever boys younger than her. She knew who she had feelings and those feelings weren't going to go away over a student. “The feeling's mutual, believe me. I'm Aiden Dyre, just got here this morning, and I am totally lost.” She shook his extended hand and spoke, “Pleasure.” before crossing them over her chest and continued to listen to him. “I was hoping maybe you could show me around a bit?” She looked at the time on her phone, seeing if she would have enough time to show him around, eat, and get everything ready for her classes. “Maybe after we grab some breakfast?” She cleared her throat about to speak before noticing Eric not far from where Aiden and her were. And once he walked over and introduced her to Aiden she smiled and looked Eric as he spoke before turning her attention back to Aiden. “Maybe next time. Unless you still want to come with? It could always be the thr-The four of us. More the merrier, right?” She chuckled as her daughter pranced over to her mother's side, holding on to her hand.

As the group walked to the cafeteria, she watched as Aiden grabbed pretty much everything and she looked at her daughter who was trying to slip away to go and go sit with her friends. Ariana chuckled a bit before letting go of the young girl's hand as she scurried to her small group of friends who were easily the youngest of the academy which was probably why her daughter had became friends with them so quickly. She walked in line with her her heels hitting the floor as she noticed Anastacia and Cheveyo walk in. They were easily one of the couples that everyone knew at the school and their chemistry on stage was amazing whether they were singing or acting, they just had a sort of spark that she always used for inspiration in her classes when they were covering how to make chemistry with another person even if they hated that one person. She watched the couple kiss before splitting for the time being. She turned around and began to grab a bagel and some fruit before walking towards the table were she saw both Aiden and Jessie sitting at. “Wait. Did you say 'Masquerade?' We're having a masquerade? When? Where? Is it full costumes or suits and masks?” She decided to answer seeing that Gabe kind of made her or at least knew how to make her feel like she had to. “The masquerade is actually coming up this Sunday. But, it's not like costume masquerade, at least not this time. That's more for Halloween but, you do get to wear masks and dress up and just have fun to bring in the new school year.” She said before before clearing her throat and looking at the two kids. “And you know, they're always looking for people to help out.” She said with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

Aiden turned, delighted to find that Professor McQuillen had joined them, bringing with her only a single bagel. Well, easy to see how she maintained such a trim figure, at least. Almost as importantly, she brought answers regarding the masquerade. “The masquerade is actually coming up this Sunday. But, it's not like costume masquerade, at least not this time. That's more for Halloween but, you do get to wear masks and dress up and just have fun to bring in the new school year.” Aiden listened with rapt attention that was in no way diminished by the three bowls of assorted cereals he wolfed down while she spoke. How he moved the spoon at that speed without spilling even a drop was a question that would befuddle scientists for years... but then again so were most things he did.

After the explanation she gave both him and Jessie pointed looks and added that they were always looking for people to help out, at which Aiden wrapped one arm around Jessie, pulling her to his side, and raised the other triumphantly. "We volunteer!" He proclaimed happily. It'd be great! He'd get to help prepare the masquerade (half of which he could do in like a minute) meet some of the other students, earn points with Professor Hottest-Teacher-Ever, and as a bonus there would probably be other hot girls helping out too. It was a win-win-win-win deal!

Of course at that moment he realized he still had Jessie pressed shoulder-to-shoulder with him and promptly released her, grinning sheepishly. "Uh, what I meant to say was... Oh, come on, it'll be fun!" He began adding expressive arm gestures with every sentence, like people did when acting. That usually made girls laugh enough that they forgave whatever he just did. Plus he was pretty good at it - theater was his favorite class and he always got good marks at it. "We can meet people and talk while we're at it. Plus with our powers we can get our shares done in no time. C'mon, I bet you always wanted to try that Disney trick where you get a bunch of woodland animals to do stuff for you. I'll even sing along!"

He hopped up and stood on the bench, planting one foot on the table in between trays, then began to sing in a deep, baritone voice. "For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught!" Usually someone pulled him down before he could finish a song, even when he started so close to the end, but the point of it all was this: He got away with stuff like that because he was funny and people liked it. Well, that, and also when he started singing in the middle of a cafeteria all eyes were inevitably drawn to him. And the center of attention? Exactly where he belonged.

My Way-Frank Sinatra

"We volunteer!" Jessie groaned as Aiden grabbed her hand and raised it to the roof, pulling her to his shoulder as he volunteered them both to help out. She blushed as he talked loudly and everyone started to stare. "Aiden! What are you doing!?" She hissed through her teeth, remembering why she so often hated over confident people. Jessie was staring at him, trying to get him to sit down but he wouldn't. "We can meet people and talk while we're at it. Plus with our powers we can get our shares done in no time. C'mon, I bet you always wanted to try that Disney trick where you get a bunch of woodland animals to do stuff for you. I'll even sing along!" She groaned as he jumped onto the table, somehow managing not to stand in their breakfast. He then started singing My Way and now everyone really was staring.

She groaned, and prevented herself from face planting into the pancakes, but at least she wouldn't stick out as much as Aiden was right now. She sighed as she felt obliged to answer. "Been there done that, and who said I would volunteer? I am going to, but you should ask first." She looked at Ariana and awkwardly smiled apologetically, before looking up at Aiden again. She saw that he wouldn't get down until she sang the next lyrics. She sighed, took a deep breath, and sang out in a crystal clear voice. "To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows and did it my way! Yes, it was my way" Her voice was clear, and she thought it wasn't very good, but it really was quite stunning. She held the last note for a bar and let it go, falling silent. The whole cafeteria had been silent as Aiden sang, and because she was the only one making noise, it was just her and Aiden singing, and she blushed even more.

"You done now Aiden? Now get down!" She hissed the last sentence quietly, not wanting to draw any more attention to herself. "Anyway, I'm organised for the Masquerade, you don't need to get me anything." Jessie grabbed his hand and yanked it ever so slightly. She just hoped Aiden didn't do something else to embarrass her.

Kids, Eric thought as he interjected a flaring conversation between Ariana and Aiden. Introducing himself was simple enough and Eric found himself invited to breakfast a second time. "So Aiden. I heard it's your treat." Eric smirked patting an arm around him and leading him on. Saved you, Eric briefly glanced back at Ariana.

Reaching the cafeteria Aiden took a moment to absorb the surroundings, "Actually, do we pay for these? Or are they complimentary?" He asked looking confused. In all earnest the meals were free, a courtesy of residence but Eric could tell Aiden hadn't clocked it until he'd scanned the room for a cash register. "I'll find some way this is on me, just you wait. I- Hey, is that the breakfast table?" The boy lost sight of his charming plans, "I'll just be a minute," and like a flash he was gone.

Taking a momentary respite Eric exited the main hall into the kitchen, I honestly can't remember when I last ventured in here at this hour. Eric thought having often visited during the less social hours. He saw many kitchen staff, most of whom paid him no heed and just carried on with business. One grossly large woman however stopped and glared from over the other side of the room, making her way towards Eric as he indulged himself with a tangerine. "Picky things these," he gestured to the fruit, "It's been...?"
"For yeahs! Four yeahs an' yoo de nerve tu descend unto MY kitchen all "seen yoo yesteday." uhuh no Caydon professor sir." The chef angrily bellowed pushing at Eric.
"Is this about those letters piled in my in-tray?" Eric questioned whilst failing to hold ground. His question seemed to rile the chef more and he found himself on the other side of the double doors sooner than he'd anticipated. "So now is the wrong time to discuss that raise?" He retorted to the door and smirked, I hate paperwork.

He found a lot of commotion upon his reentry into the cafeteria, Aiden was singing and... ... Jessie? Eric wasn't expecting a display from her. The peel dropped to floor and Eric finally tasted a tangy slice, noticing Ariana had rejoined Aiden and Jessie. "Feet down Posy," Eric dismissively said pushing her feet off the table with an arm as he passed, "... At least socially," Eric muttered ambivalently and sticking another slice of orange in his mouth.

Observing the caf, Eric saw Anastacia and Damon talking, whilst Cheveyo contended himself with breakfast; Scarlett, Nicholas, Kenzie and Emilia sitting on lone tables; Gabriel and Nina both similarly alone at the cafeteria's back; Koen and Elsie talking; Aiden, Jessie and Ariana now settling down; And a window revealed Alexander sitting outside finishing his tray. A lot other students we're scurrying to and from but Eric thought he'd sussed the gist of the morning, Go forth kids, meet and greet.

Walking to the back of the hall Eric shuffled his orange free hand into his back pocket removing a note. Gabriel looked up as he approached, "You're right. I did owe you $20," Eric spoke relinquishing the note onto the table. "I forgot which game we had stakes on; or maybe I'm a deluded loser..." He shrugged, "You were holding back the first game weren't you? And I fell for it, like a sucker." Eric tsked at Gabe, noticing a concealed smile. "And you're meant to be the angel?" Shaking his head. Before Gabriel had a moment to swallow his food and deny such jovial slander Eric turned away, "You eat, you're beat." He chuckled, "Enjoy your winnings, for now."

Another slice entered Eric's mouth as he swept across the cafeteria to the front. Another of these, Eric picked up another orange beginning to pick at it's skin as he walked towards Ariana. Act cool. Smile. He told himself rubbing the back of his neck. Note to self: Figure out last night.

Gabriel had finished his eggs some time ago, now only a lowly degrading pile of toast remained. On the table a fat book lay out before him, equations and mathematical answers scrawled across the page. He had a note book resting against one side of the book, jotting down various notes as he prepared for the lab he was going to begin with the students today. Thankfully, Gabriel did not begin classes till 11am with the First Year students, so he had plenty of time to get the lesson in order. Bartleby grabbed at a piece of toast and took a massive bite, crunching the bread as he stared down at his work.

A fluttering of his feathers signaled the approach of another being and Gabriel cast his in human blue eyes up to meet said individual. Eric approached, an orange in hand and his usual charismatic jovial nature surrounding him. The winged man sat back form his work, his wings stretching back from the chair as he greeted the headmaster with a nod.

"Your right. I did owe you $20" Raised brows signaled Bartleby's confusion, but he accepted the money none-the-less, "I forgot which game we had stakes on; or maybe I'm a deluded loser..." Eric spoke, shrugging at the thought. Gabriel chuckled slightly, his memory of the wager coming back to him as he recounted the event. Maybe a small amount of hustling on his part, but he knew the age old man could handle it. "You were holding back the first game weren't you? And I fell for it, like a sucker. And you're meant to be the angel?" Gabriel smirked, nodding his head at the thought. He swallowed the meal final, having finished chewing, and opening his mouth to reply only to have Eric beat him to it, "You eat, you're beat. Enjoy your winnings, for now."

Gabriels mouth hung open as the headmaster turned on his his heel and moved across the cafeteria. Of course, Eric and his flamboyant charismatic nature at it again. It still felt strange to think of the man as an employer rather then Professor Caydon- Gabriel had been one of the immortals top students when he had learned at the school. Shaking his head, Gabriel ran his hand through his blonde tresses and finished the piece of toast he held.

He closed the book with the notepad inside and stood, grabbing his try to walk it over to the bins. He kept his wings pulled in close as he walked, trying to avoid knocking out and unsuspecting students with his wingspan. Gabriel exited the cafeteria and made his way down the hall, heading to his classroom.

While it was still the beginning of school, Bartleby already had a stack of papers waiting for his attention. The first day of class had merely been a 'get to know the students' kind of day, so thankfully he did not need to grade. But he had school work he needed to finish, papers he needed to sign, and a few things he get in order for the Masquerade. As Extra Curriculars Director, Gabriel was in charge of most of the work that needed to be completed for the party to be pulled off correctly. He already had a sign in front of his classroom, welcoming students to sign up (extra credit promised) and volunteer to help with the dance. It was the beginning of the year though, so he was not so sure many would be joining them.

With a furl of his wings, he stretched them out as far as they could go and allowed them to hand limp now that he was in the confines of his own classroom. He took a seat at his desk, leaving the door open incase and students needed his attention. Turning to the pile of paperwork, Gabriel set to work signing and reading over the files.

“I'm awake, Lana! See you at breakfast!”

Divinia slid a pressed rose between the pages of her slightly aged book, marking her place as she offered a sigh before sliding out her phone and tapping the letters on the screen. Wén Xīn Diāo Lóng is quite an amazing read; I can't believe I've only just found out about it. Thanks again for getting me an untranslated copy. She sent her text off to the Headmaster and her future employer before smoothing out her skirt and standing to confront her vanity. She puckered her lips to apply ruby red lipstick, topping it off with a light layer of peach scented gloss.

She grabbed her binder and slipped the book inside, grabbing her leather journal and gently placing it inside her purse before heading out. She had been up for the past few hours studying theology in deeper thought than usual, taking heavy notes. She closed and locked the double doors behind her; Divinia didn't exercise her true powers often, but after deciding to remain at Maldoy and become the first Professor of Philosophy, she decided that she no longer wanted a roommate and had created her own reality within her room. Her room was her own little world that catered to her every desire and defied the laws of physics.

She shouldered her purse and was on her way, contemplating what she would have for breakfast when she paused and heard the last few notes of "Call Me" by Blondie. She smiled contently and shook her head as she made her way through the halls and down the steps towards the academy cafeteria; Apparently Kaelana was trying to wake the entire school. Divinia was fond of the rambunctious Amazon, trying her best to be alongside Cheveyo as the voice of reason when Kaelana and Arturo were up to their shenanigans. But she couldn't deny that it was often fun and refreshing to walk on the wild side with them every now and again.

She entered the cafeteria and headed right for the line where she grabbed a tray and served herself with a bowl of blueberry oatmeal, an orange, a carton of soy milk, and a banana nut muffin. Content with her choices, she was off to the table in the center of the cafeteria, the usual spot for Titans. She looked around at all those present, a tad surprised not to see her friend and intellectual equal, Jason Blake. He was usually among the first to breakfast. Shrugging, she grabbed her muffin and bit into it with her gaze curiously fixed on a girl sitting in a window alone.

Donovan MatthewsDonovan shot out of bed as his alarm went off for the third time. ”Kae’s gonna kill me.” He repeated as he got dressed. He split on his vintage spider man tee, his slightly baggy skinny jeans - an oxymoron really but did he care? Nope.-, A red plaid shirt top his tee, his high top converses and his favorite green beanie. He very much liked the way he looked in hats. Some people had shoes, he had hats. He grabbed his backpack up quickly. He had a lot of studying to do but he’ll cram all that in later, the last thing he wanted to do was piss of Kae, she was hot and her temperament was just as fiery. Just as he was about to run out the door, his wrist watch alarm went off. ”Damn it all to hell.” He groaned and went back into his room. He set down his backpack, opened it and pulled out a black case. He unzipped it and pulled out the glucose meter. He pricked his finger, without so much as a breath, and pressed the meter to his bleeding finger. Once the blood was being read, He sucked the small hole in his finger and waited. After a moment. He got his results as sighed. 13.7. Not good. He put the meter away and grabbed the insulin pen. He rolled up his pant leg and stuck the needle into his thigh and pressed the plunger. He waited a moment, shook his leg to get the blood flowing and then proceeded to pack up his stuff and slung his backpack over his shoulder making a beeline toward the Titan of Tunes. I ran down the seemingly endless corridors and heard Kae’s powerful voice. He stopped, slid and stumbling into a wall before straightening himself and walking in casually, just as she finished with talking with a few others. ”What up!” He said and smiled at the group. ”What I miss?”

She smiled up as she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend or at least one of them. Anastacia always tried her best not to get the real Cheveyo mixed up with a fake one Even if they were the same person, it made her feel as if she was cheating on him. Something she never wanted to do. She couldn't do that to her boyfriend. She lightly kissed him before sitting down in the couple's regular seats, setting down their two coffees. Her being stained with her pink lipstick while Chev's was perfectly fine. One Cheveyo started speaking to the table, she looked up at him with her big eyes. “Hey, I'll be back in a sec. Dig in.” She looked towards the direction he was looking, seeing a rather pretty girl with black hair. She then saw closely that it was her roommate and the girl Damon had told her to talk to as soon as possible. But, that was her. She didn't know why her boyfriend was going over to the girl. As he walked towards Nina. Annie released a sigh before setting her bag into his seat just so no one would take it. Even though most people knew who always sat next to her, even the newer people had seen Cheveyo and Ana around, being the cute couple they were.

They didn't get voted cutest couple for nothing. She looked towards Arty and his sister, Divinia as she tried to distract herself from being that over paranoid girlfriend she was feeling like. “So, let me guess. Kaelana woke you both up.” She said with a smile on her face, trying to mask the frown she had just a couple of seconds ago. Not long after Cheveyo had returned with Nina. She removed her bag from his seat before leaning her head on his shoulder with the genuine smile returning to her face. She looked at Nina before clearing her throat. “Hi Nina, I know that you're new here but my,” She glared over at Damon who was too busy talking to his little followers to notice her. “Friend, Damon wants to talk to you whenever you get the chance.” She and Damon weren't friends, whatsoever but she didn't know what else to call him; her ex, her puppetmaster? Not with Cheveyo next to her, she didn't need him to know that he still was manipulating the poor girl after two years. She looked at the time on her new phone before putting the phone back on the table and looking towards her Chevy. “We should get going soon, Chevy.”

"We volunteer!" She smiled toward Aiden before looking at Jessie, who didn't seem just as enthusiastic as the new kid was. "Uh, what I meant to say was... Oh, come on, it'll be fun!" She clapped softly as she spoke. “Wonderful. And with you there Aiden, we should finish in no time!” She added before looking around for Eric. So, in other words she zoned out of the conversation. "We can meet people and talk while we're at it. Plus with our powers we can get our shares done in no time. C'mon, I bet you always wanted to try that Disney trick where you get a bunch of woodland animals to do stuff for you. I'll even sing along!" She smirked as she continued looking around the dining hall before seeing him talking to another one of their friend and teacher, Gabriel. But, she quickly returned her hazel eyes back to Aiden before Eric had the chance to her staring. The last thing she needed was to be caught by her boss for gazing at him of all people. She looked back at Aiden and Jessie as she started to hear singing, and when she turned to see who it was. She saw that it was Aiden. "For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught!"

Then turned towards Jessie as the red head gave her opinion on volunteering "Been there done that, and who said I would volunteer? I am going to, but you should ask first." Ariana raised an eyebrow before speaking, “Thanks Jess.”
The woman said with sarcasm before seeing Jessie send an apologetic smile towards the Irish woman. Before she started singing as well. "To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows and did it my way! Yes, it was my way" They sounded good. She wouldn't go as far as saying that they were as good as some of the members of the acapella group that Ariana was the coach of but, with help they could definitely become great. Jessie hissed for Aiden to stop, clearly being embarrassed but at this school nothing really was unusual. "Anyway, I'm organised for the Masquerade, you don't need to get me anything." She chuckled before seeing Eric walk towards the table. She looked towards him smiling as he sat down next to her. ”I’m gonna need to find a mask by the end of the week at least. Maybe a nice coat. Ah, bet I’ll just find some town not too far away and zip across. Get it all done in an afternoon, y’know?” She was snapped back to reality as she heard Aiden. “You can talk to Anastacia over there. She the one with the golden hair,” She said as she pointed towards the table where the small Italian girl was sitting with Cheveyo right next to her with most of the other acapella members sitting around the table as well. “Her and her brother have tons of masks. It would save you some time and money.”

“So what do you teach exactly? Not sure I heard.” Aiden asked her. She had no problem saying what she taught, unlike most teachers who taught the classes that kids mostly dislike. Ariana taught them how to be creative and how to act. Not really the most difficult thing in the world. “I teach theater arts. You know, singing dancing, acting... The fun things people like doing in school not like history and all that boring stuff.” She said as she smirked towards Eric. After that Kaelana started singing before walking over to Aiden and putting her really tan arms around Aiden's shoulder. “You know the only way I'll stop stealing your show is if you tryout for the Titans. So I'm going to see you both at tryouts, right?” Ariana shook her head with a smirk on her face as she took a sip of her coffee. "Well that sound great Aiden. You should join the Acapella group or tryout for one of the art groups if you like singing that much. Oh yeah, never gave you that schedule. Here's the first year schedule." The woman looked at the yellow paper as it was handed to Aiden who had one of the "boring" classes that Ariana had said. "You've got English first up. I'm in my second year so I've got battle instead,"

Ariana looked at the time herself before Jessie excused herself and walked towards the new nurse. She turned her attention towards Aiden with a small smirk, “You should be heading to class as well, Mr. Dyre.” She turned her glare over to the man next to her “As should you, Professor Caydon.”

“I teach theatre arts. You know, singing dancing, acting... The fun things people like doing in school not like history and all that boring stuff.” Ariana explained jovially, swiping a smirk at Eric. Lowering his head slightly he grinned, Touché. The glancing attention amongst the pawing teens was an art, Eric decided; though he edgily noticed a certain chef’s glare from the serving counter.

“As should you, Professor Caydon.” Ariana was looking to him again, though Eric had been momentarily distracted again by the chef glaring at him from the other side of the service counter, and as a result Eric missed the previous undirected words that explained what he was supposed to “should” do. He smiled almost uneasily, filled with concern. I’ve forgotten something, haven’t I? Eric stood mimicking several others around, pushing his chair back, still clutching what remained of his orange.
Aiden beautifully interjected Eric’s thoughts "I should probably mention that twenty minutes ago I was wandering around the halls completely lost and I never actually found a map. I could use a beautiful guide to show me around the school." The Academy’s bell unfortunately overlaid the end of Aiden’s plea after the word “beautiful”.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriing!

”English!” Eric exclaimed in relief letting out a chuckle, ”I’m gonna need a better system then just attempting to remember these things… Besides your prompts that is,” Eric grinned thankfully. Note to self: Find suitable English teacher.
He turned to look at Aiden, ”Dyre, next time specify "female", you’re with me it seems; aren’t you the lucky guy today.” The side of Eric's mouth raised up into a smirk glancing back to Ariana who it seem was on the move as well.
”It was nice, Ariana,” Eric said in all serious, ”Seeing you at the start of the first day.” And with the pleasantries concluded Eric moved to exit the canteen Please tell me Qadira's ceased her death stare, Eric checked in his peripherals noticing the chef hadn't budged. If she had powers Qadria would definitely be cyclops, I can literally feel the back of my head melting!

The hallway was a bustle, the first day meant the students were all super-charged and nervous as well as mostly lost; Eric paused and raised his voice, "Students!" The horde slowed as some stopped, Eric shouted again, ”Students, new and old,” he continued as most of the remaining nearby students took notice, ”Good luck with your first day here or back; just a slight heads up, most of the classes have changed room the prevous year - first years with me - that is all.”
The silence erupted as a lot of the older students cursed, it amused Eric infinitely to keep his students on their toes but in truth the process leveled the playing field somewhat for first years and gave them all a mind-bending task to engage their minds. First room's free first years, Eric mused whilst navigating the corridors.

Second note to self: Find English teacher, or is that still the first note... Make it first and second. One of Eric's eyes squinted at the chalkboard in the room, the board read:
"Idiomatic Expressions"

It was in bold and squiffy writing, My handwriting is a bomb. The majority of the chairs were empty, except Aiden who had nipped around Eric, seated himself and was already copying out the module heading. A few students that had followed after the speech start filtering in moments later. Now... Where did I put the chalk?

Opening out into the vast corridors Michael soon found himself encompassed by students, the bell had sounded only moments ago. Now where was it I’m meant to go? Michael stilled getting barged as he looked around, English but where… "Excuse me," Michael tried but several of the recipients just shoved past ignoring his request. "I’m trying to find the English class," Michael tried turning his head to students as they past without success.

”… first years with me - that is all.” Michael faintly heard a corner or two away and with reserved strength fought through the jumble sale of students. I could do with a locker… Michael observed students as the he made his way down another hallway, though he realised it wasn’t as if his room was far away and some students could be living off campus. Michael shrugged and turned a corner to where the announcement had been given in time to collide with - The mother of all beefcakes – getting knocked squarely on his arse. ”Watch it Freshie,” the enormous tank boy growled, "I bring the pain in all colours of hell," he warned, then scoffed, unimpressed with Michael before finally moving off.

Picking himself up and ignoring the new burns he’d some how accumulated Michael scanned ahead but the speaker had vanished, along with the first years. ”Awh come on!” Michael complained racing forward but he skidded to halt when the corridor split three ways. ”Now what?”

Michael exhaled deeply and looked around, only older students now loomed, ”Anyone know where the English room is?” Michael asked in a raised voice but the remaining students at the very least acted as if they were busy. I know it’s loud out here but someone could at least share this information with me” he stewed grinding his teeth a little.
Suddenly the hall felt wavy and it was as if purple streaks flowed out, when it touch the nearest student, an older blonde, she turned to Michael, ”It was announced only recently that all the classes have moved from the rooms of the previous years, sorry.” The girl suddenly snapped to and looked at Michael puzzled before frowning, slapping him and walking off. ”What was THAT about?” Michael questioned, slightly dazed, rubbing his cheek with a hand.

Is this so complicated!? Michael stood frustrated as the corridors began to clear. He hung his head shaking it and running both hands through his hair. Composing himself and looking up he noticed a girl rushing towards him with what looked like - A slice of pizza? – She seemed to recognise him which Michael found strange as he was new and hadn’t. –
Shower girl.

Michael swallowed and his heart quickened. Hh..How? Wait. Did she see me looking from my room? Michael pondered wide-eyed still unsure if he'd been knocked out by that enormous man boy thing a corridor or so back; though the pizza she carried wasn't exactly on the fantasy short list.
"Hi," Michael managed to stutter out, "English?" he asked.

And of course even that hope had to be crushed. Aiden closed his eyes and slowly exhaled, just a bit annoyed. "Rain check, then, gorgeous," he said, rolling his eyes and smiling at Kaelana despite his exasperation. "We gotta catch up, I haven't seen you in like a month. Looking forward to a bit of quality time." He paused a moment for her to comeback to the obvious flirt, then carried on. "I can't wait to tryout for - you said Titans, right? Like that cartoon? Look me up after class and I'll be all over that."

After the goodbyes were all done, Aiden caught up with the Headman and the mob of first-years he was leading. They hadn't gotten so far he'd lost sight of them, so moving faster than those slowpokes was a piece of cake. He couldn't help but remark at the bossman "You know, Professor, at a certain point you're just being a dick." Rob him of a prime opportunity to spend time with a hot girl? Not cool. Do it on his first day at school? Definitely not cool. Do it twice? Now he's just a dick.

Once they got to the classroom Aiden zipped in to grab a seat next to the window, near the back of the classroom, before anyone else could get to it. It offered a great view of the grounds but was shaded from the sun by a large tree not far away. Much more slowly he got out his books and papers and crud like that, boredom already seeping in at the thought of the class ahead. He noticed the teacher had written something on the board in flowy, flowery handwriting that was kind of hard to make out... In the end he just shrugged and decided not to bother. Instead he began drawing dinosaurs - objectively he knew his drawing was awful, with the lines all wobbly and uneven and everything the wrong size, but dinosaurs. And he liked drawing. And dude, dinosaurs.

Hopefully someone would come by soon and relieve him of the boredom that was prompting this behavior in the first place. Ideally a hot, female someone, but anyone interesting and fun would be nice.

Samantha let out a depressed sigh realizing that she was really late for breakfast, she had not noticed just exactly how late it was until she saw that everyone was already either finished eating or just waiting for the class to start at the cafeteria. She spotted a few familiar faces but didn’t say hi to anyone, after all that could wait but her demanding stomach could not. Sam always had a big appetite but as she used more and more her shifting abilities made her hungrier more often than before.

She had somehow gotten lost even though she had already entered the school for a few weeks before, it wasn't her fault that the institute was huge after all. Even when she had already been to school she would have to start in the first year mostly because she was a transfer student and because according to the school, 'it was the most appropriate' thing to do given the circumstances, whatever that meant. Of course, Samantha was not happy at all but there was nothing she could do, besides her mind was worried now about what she would have for breakfast or if she would even have one at this point instead of concerning over anything else.

Finally, she finally made her way towards the cafeteria. She had a silly grin like a child opening a Christmas gift, a look she always had whenever it came to food. Apparently they had pizza on the menu and, contrary to what Sam thought, there was still a lot of food left. She couldn't fight her grin and came closer finally grabbing a few slices when suddenly the bell rang. Eating as fast as she could she walked slowly toward her first class, English. Having her policy of, 'Do not leave any slice behind' she simply grabbed her slice and walked towards class.

People had already begun to walk towards their classes and Sam waited patiently not wanting to get caught up in the crowd. Finally when it wasn't nearly as crowded she spotted someone nearby, she recognized him as she had seen him a few moments before. Sam had forgotten something back at her room so she had to run back to her dorm, it was then when she saw him walking not too far from the place. She had never seen him before, so there was a chance he was new, but then again the campus was huge so maybe he had been around before and she never noticed.

Samantha came closer and noticed that he had also somehow recognized her, being a bit curious she moved closer to him with her pizza on her right hand and her left hand holding onto the strap of her backpack. Finally when she was close enough he suddenly asked while stuttering, "Hi, English?" Samantha smiled and let out a small laugh, "Actually It's Sam, but English is fine too you know?" she teased a bit with a smile.

She wanted to ask if he had seen her before but for now they had to get to class, "I'm guessing you're a first year too. English class is actually over here" she said pointing in the right direction, waiting for him to follow her. While they walked to class, her curiosity wouldn't leave her be so she finally asked, "so, have we meet before? It looked like you had already seen me before and I doubt it was only my delicious looking pizza that you recognized" she asked joking a bit and with a smile. She would wait for him to say anything before they got to class where she would probably sit down in the first seat she could find and maybe even finish her delicious slice of pizza .

The girl laughed a little, "Actually It's Sam, but English is fine too you know?" she smirked. Michael contained a laugh and smiled looking directly at her, How does she make beanies look so beautiful?
"I'm guessing you're a first year too. English class is actually over here" Sam continued pointing down a corridor; a door a way down, Perhaps we won't be too late after all, Michael mused but he was glad now, bumping into her had turned today around.
Whilst walking along side Sam, Michael chanced a look, Busted! Sam caught him but either she didn't mind or didn't show it, "so, have we meet before? It looked like you had already seen me before and I doubt it was only my delicious looking pizza that you recognized." Sam was still smiling at Michael and Michael blushed slightly, pulling his arm up and round grabbing the back of his neck, "I... erm." How do I explain THIS!? Michael panicked inside letting out a nervous chuckle. Taking a deep breath and then letting it out he confessed, letting his arm drop back to his side.
"I sort of saw you this morning," he began before quickly explaining, "My roommate was berating me about some sort of law he has going and I well... drifted off a bit, to the window." He could see Sam was still waiting for all the dots to connect, "...and so, well, you were through the window... technically two windows." And there it was, Michael's half-guilty confession. He bit his lip. And only moments ago, I wouldn't have been anywhere else, now anywhere else would do!

They'd paused before the English door while Michael had explained himself, but she didn't seem mad, maybe stunned Michael thought, But that could mean anything...
Professor Caydon could be heard muted through the doors, "...temporarily stuck..."
They both turned to see the Professor; he was looking directly back at them! The sudden obligation cut short Sam and Michael's discussion, and he pushed the door to, sound erupting form inside as he held the door for Sam. He followed after a short sigh and entered, seating himself beside her.
