Kojiro woke up Screaming again. He was having the nightmare about the car accident his parents died in again. He was covered in a thick layer of sweat so he went into the the bathroom for a shower. He had been up all night drinking again last night, it seemed to dull the pain for him even just for a little bit, but he always ended up waking up with a huge hangover. He walked out of the shower and grabbed a towel to dry off. As he looked at his face in the mirror he started to become very sad and then angry and then sad again. He hated life but he hated himself most of all, he felt a great deal of responsibility for what happened to his parents even though he had no control over it. After a couple of minutes he put on the change of clothes that was waiting for him on the counter and left the bathroom.

He went over to his bedside table and grabbed the almost empty bottle of Glenfiddich 40 year old whisky and poured himself a glass. He wasn't going to start drinking at 11 o'clock in the morning but the glass he had poured would take away the headache and the sick feeling in his gut. Afterwords he walked out onto his balcony and lit up a cigarette. He sat down in a chair near the edge of the balcony and put on a pair of sunglasses that were on the table next to the chair he had sat down in. Then he called for someone to bring him some coffee, he was going to need it if he was going to do anything productive today.

The best way to wake up, was alone. Lestat had learned this a long time ago, back when his mother was still living. When he was a child, it wasn't abnormal for little Lest to wake up in his parents bed, snuggled between his mother and father. He had always suffered from nightmares, and rarely even attempted to sleep in his own room, choosing his parents instead. That was, of course, until his mother died and his father found a new bride, a younger, "better", version of his poor mother. Lest hated the woman, even as a little boy, he knew that she didn't love him or his father. Over the years, Lest found that the woman did eventually grow to love his father, but that didn't matter to him, not really. She was only in it for the money, at least from the beginning, and that made him hate her. Well, and the fact that she was moving in not even a month after his mother had been moved out.

Now he was a boy of eighteen, still living at home and not doing much with his life. It wasn't like he couldn't do anything, no, Lest found that he was actually rather good at quite a variety of things. It was just that he didn't have the... inspiration to try. That's right, he instead chose to sit on his rear day after day, either in the castle or on his horse, instead of going out and doing something worth his time. Lestat was a lazy man, and nothing was bound to change that anytime soon.

He rose from bed and crossed his room in only a pair of black boxers, heading towards his bathroom to shower and get ready for the day. Clothes would be sitting out on his bed after he got out, like they always were. His servant had been with him long enough to know the drill. Every morning Lestat showered, fully expecting clothes and breakfast to be waiting for him once he was done washing. From there, it was either to his private drawing room, or to the stable- and occasionally it was to head out to go visit a friend, but that was rare.

Alice Bishop

Alice was always a light sleeper, the smallest sound can wake her up instantly. It was not because she was scared of anything, she just didn't like trying to go back to sleep when there was millions of things she could be doing. Today she woke up at five from the sound of one of her books falling off of her bed when she rolled over. She went to pick it up and then started to read it until seven o'clock, which was the amount of time needed to read the whole book.

The book, a long romantic comedy, was one of the books her father begged her to read for him. The book was the newest one being turned to a big movie, her father getting the role of the leading man. Sadly her father never liked reading, especially reading long ones like this. She could see his point with not reading this one, though, it was garbage. The (male) author was pushing every female stereotype into the leading lady, vice versa with the male lead, making the story just sickening. The only good part about the stupid book was the comedy, which almost reminded her of some old cartoon.

She almost always questions herself when she reads stupid books, โ€œ Why am I even giving this a chance?โ€ Well, reading was almost a part of her. When she was lonely, she read. When she was sickly, she read. When she was bored, she read. When she was around all of her friends at school, she would still read. It seemed like it was her only hobby. Being alone half of the day because of her parents jobs it was practically something sheโ€™d do all the time.

Once done with reading she lays down, tired from waking up so early. She grabs one of her other books, an old fairy tale about a beastly creature and a beautiful girl. As she was reading she waits for somebody to call her down to eat or brings her food. It was a Saturday, she deserves to be lazy.

Kaia

Image

Kaia growled slightly as she heard the sound of her alarm clock go off. Once again, she's had another restless night. It wasn't necessarily because she'd have a bad dream, or because she'd go to sleep at an unreasonable time, it was because of a little homesickness. Ever since she'd have to provide for herself due to the absences of her parents, she's been troubled by the unfamiliar scenery of her home. Don't take it the wrong way, she found the decor and structure of the house absolutely remarkable! However, nothing beats a warm fire in a small, cozy cabin and a cup of tea... well, that's what Kaia thought anyways.

The white-haired girl climbed out of her bed and fixed the blanket for tonight's upcoming slumber. After that, she quickly dressed in a plain, purple T-shirt, a faded skirt, and tied her hair back with a black bow designed with a purple stripe. Kaia only had one nice outfit, however, she saved the beautifully decorated outfit for special occasions. For now, she'd settle with her raggity clothing. It may appear like Kaia just didn't have the money to go out and buy herself some decent clothing, but that wasn't the case. She wants to save every penny she earns, therefore not buying anything considered... more... appealing clothing.

No sooner after she finished dressing herself, Kaia heard Kojiro's call to bring him a cup of coffee. She sighed quietly to herself. "Well... he certainly has timing." The young woman muttered to herself, rushing out of her room and downstairs to the kitchen.

--15 minutes later--

Kaia knocked on Kojiro's bedroom door, and then entered with a tray, containing mail and a fresh cup of coffee. She slowly made her way over to her newly assigned master and placed the tray down on a small table that was set beside the balcony chair. Kaia cleared her throat and took a step back. "... Ah... if you'd like, sir... I could always cook up some breakfast with your coffee." She mumbled, waiting for Kojiro's approval of the coffee before she left.

Kojiro got up when kaia came in with the coffee. He finished his drink and put out his cigarette before taking the coffee. "thanks" he muttered still feeling out of it. he drank the coffee rather quickly before responding with a "no thank you" to her request about breakfast. he was still feeling ill from the night before and he never really ate breakfast in the morning anyway. He started to think about what he was going to do today but came up blank. Nothing really interested him anymore, except for eventually taking over his fathers company. "do you want to do something today?" he asked kaia, he thought that some company would be nice for a change. he had been somewhat of a shut in since the incident.

Kaia

Kaia shrugged at his reply to breakfast. She honestly didn't really expect him to accept the offer anyways. Right now, the only thing that she wanted to do was leave. Kaia couldn't stand the smell of smoke, or alcohol, certainly not both of the smells mixed together! Wasn't he a little under-aged to be drinking? Oh, Kaia couldn't help but worry about his well being.

She watched as Kojiro chugged down his coffee, tilting her head slightly. How could anyone drink that fast? Once again, her motherly side got the best of her. "Sir, you're going to feel awfully sick if you drink coffee that fast..." She choked out. "Dang it Kaia, it's none of your business, keep shut!" She thought to herself, picking up the now empty tray and holding it tightly to her chest.

Kaia eyed Kojiro with wide eyes as he asked if she'd like to accompany him today. Now she honestly believed that he was sick. It wasn't that she didn't want to spend time with Kojiro, it was because he didn't seem like the person who'd... really be open to someone's company. She cleared her throat, now looking at Kojiro with a respectful gaze instead of her astonished expression. "Do something today? I'm afraid I don't understand, sir... like what?"

Kojiro let out a slight smile at Kaia's remark about how he had drank the coffee. "I already feel sick and im also exhausted. I'd rather Just be one or the other instead of both." He said putting the empty cup on his bedside table and lighting up another smoke.

When Kaia asked about what they would do today Kojiro responded "I don't know I haven't left the house or really spoken to anyone in a while." Kojiro noticed the clothes she was wearing and said "we could buy you some new clothes if you'd like." Kojiro always felt depressed but especially around this time of the year since today was the anniversary of his parents death. He needed a distraction and Kaia was perfect. After the death of his parents Kojiro retreaded into his house and stopped communicating with everyone in the outside world. It was odd that today of all days he felt like going out and spending time with someone. He had only known Kaia for a couple of days now but he could tell that she was a nice girl and he could also tell that she wasn't feeling very good so he wanted to do something nice for her.

Kaia shifted her weight to her right leg. "Ah, I see." She said, nodding. "You could always just.. get over-the-counter medicine for things like that, sir." She said as she picked up his empty cup.

The red-eyed girl frowned slightly as she looked over herself. "I... I suppose I should get an outfit or two..." She thought about how much money she had in her savings. If anything, she had a little over $400, but that was all from 2 years worth of hard labor and performances. Kaia used to earn money by preforming songs or poems she wrote, but it surely wasn't enough to get a roof over her head, therefore resulting in becoming a servant.

She brushed a strand of hair out of her face and sighed quietly. "That sounds... that sounds nice... I'd like that, thank you." She said with a soft smile. "... I suppose I should get ready then, hm?" She said, bowing slightly. Kaia turned on her head and walked out of the door, a little skip in her walk.

Kojiro walks out with her turning off the lights to his room and closes the door. He notices that Kaia seemed to be in a good mood and that made him happy. He also noticed her smile and he thought it was really cute. "your going to need more than an outfit or two, and I hope you don't think that your paying for any of it." he says with a smile. he hadn't smiled in what seemed to be forever, it was a nice feeling. "What kind of a person would I be if I was forcing you to go shopping and then making you pay for it." He gave Kaia a little shoulder nudge. "meet me out front when your ready." he said and went to talk to someone about getting the driver to pull the car into the front.

Kojiro found himself outside of his parents old room. He hadn't been to this room since the accident. He slowly reached out for the handle and as he did he found his hand shaking. He finally mustered up the strength to walk into the room and went to his fathers closet. He was about his father's build now so he thought some of his father's clothes would fit him. He picked out a black suit with a black tie and got changed. After he had changed he left the room as quickly as possible. He didn't want to ruin what seemed to be turning out to be one of the first good days in a while.

When Kojiro returned to the front he saw that the car had just pulled up, so he waited for Kaia to finish getting ready before heading out.

Del or more commonly called Young Miss Sorescu was sitting impatiently on a little rock in the estate's garden, swinging her legs up and down trying to pass the time. She's been sitting there for hours now, mainly staring on the ground, admiring the plants below her feet. A sigh escaped her lips. It wasn't suppose to be this boring, not on such a beautiful sunny day. Where was Tsuki? Quickly, she shook her head; lightly slapped both of her cheeks. Again she was thinking about her servant. Obviously, it wasn't something criminal to do. Her thoughts are her thoughts, not like anyone could see inside her head. At least, no human should be able to.

Pondering whether she should search for her quiet servant or not, a rather nice breeze swift through her hair, made them dance in the air beautifully and elegantly. Once you take a glimpse of her whole though you'll actually notice how not lady-like she is. On that morning, she wore a short blue dress wherein below, she had casual pants on. She knew; if her mother would ever see her in that outfit, she'll most definitely faint. But well, that's if she saw her like that, and it's a rarity, even close to an impossible event, that her mother came to see her voluntary, without being reminded she had a daughter she should at least visit from time to time.

Del slumped down the rock upon the flowerbed, thoroughly enjoyed the sweet scent as she then rested her head there, closing her eyes. Delariah is a girl from a rich man who had more illegitimate children than legitimate. Then, to his misfortune, her legitimate child was a girl, a sickly girl at that. It wasn't a secret that Delariah felt she was unwanted, whether by her father or by her mother. Both seem to not care for her existence the slightest.

"Depressing depressing depressing! Be gone, you evil!" She shouted, so suddenly, to make all her thoughts to be gone while raising her fist to the air. She believed that small evil creatures came crawling to her every time she thought pessimistically, and therefore with her action she tried to shoo them away. Sometimes, she thinks of her life being a faery should be most pleasing. Not with so many limits, and never being told what to do. A faery is free without worries; perhaps that's why she strongly believed in their existence. Because she sought their privileges which she did not possess. Well, you can also say she is a bit childish, that's probably the simplest way to explain her belief in magical creatures, to simply please her with it. Despite she already reached her sixteenth year of age, which suppose to make her rather grown up already.

Suddenly she stood up after smelling a very delicious familiar dish. It was time for breakfast, finally. She smiled.

With only place of delight on her face, she quickly dashed into the direction of the dining room. It was long in coming, really now. A maid opened the door for her when she arrived in front of the dining room. She nodded, slightly showing her gratitude without lowering her head to much, when she sat down on the chair in the middle of the grand table. Then her breakfast was being served, with lots of different kind of food that it seemed to be a waste to eat it alone.

"Thank you, you may leave. And please tell Tsuki to come here." With that, they left the dining room, leaving Delariah alone with a feast that she obviously ate without a care for manners. But of course, it wasn't that of why she never permitted her maids or butlers to be present while ate. It was simply uncomfortable, eating in front of people who didn't eat themselves. It was too awkward for Delariah to go through everyday. Only Tsuki was permitted to be there with her as his presence was needed. For the reason of why itโ€™s needed, Delariah has yet to find out. Clear is, that Tsuki was forced to eat with her every day and as known by all, Delariah was a stubborn girl who didn't accept her offer to be declined.

The sun seemed particularity bright that morning, or at least it seemed that way to him. Of course he needed to get up early, like usual it seemed. Even when the weekend rolled around it was always the same, get up, work, then go to sleep so he could do it all over again the next day. Oh god how he hated the endless cycle that became his life. Truth is he'd rather be arrested than perform menial tasks that made him feel so... he wasn't even sure what the word he was looking for was. Then again, being locked up, from what he always heard, wasn't very pleasant. So instead, he'd just do whatever it was he needed to be doing. Perhaps one day he'll die a really old man and still be doing this.

Lorenzo did lay in bed for a moment, just to make sure he was awake before plopping himself out of bed. He groaned to himself and got himself dressed, as quickly as possible as well. He hoped Alice was not awake, but from what he could tell from time he'd been there already, she didn't sleep in like some others. About now he was finished getting himself ready for the day, soon heading out the door and down the hall. His first objective was to see if his master was to need anything. Enzo always hoped she wouldn't but usually she did, therefor he would have to do it.

The boy sighed as he came upon her door, his hand lifted into a light fist as he gave a light knock upon the large piece of wood. "Miss Alice?" he called to her from the other side, "you uh.. awake or whatever?"

TSUKI HIRAGI

It was mid-morning, sun shining in full view. The Sorescu house was already awake with other maids and butlers going about their business and preparing for the day. Only Tsuki was left unaccounted for. Normally, he would be with Miss Delariah at this time, as she enjoyed his company while they two waited for breakfast to be served. Since she seemed the favour him over the other servants in the house, he often got out of morning duties while the two sat, perched outside by the flower beds. They would enjoy the soft morning breeze while Miss Delariah would tell him stories about faeries and other creatures. Tsuki mostly listened, as he didn't judge her or think that she is childish- he just thought that she had a big imagination.

Only today, Tsuki had slept in. His alarm clock had been knocked off the table somehow, and the alarm broken on the floor beside his bed. His room has still dark, his curtains drawn- stopping the light from outside draining in. The only movement in Tsuki's room was his breathing as he slept. He only finally stirred when he heard voices calling his name from outside of his room. He sat up, rubbing his eyes as his door opened, flushing his room full of light. On the other side of the door stood three other servants- the ones who had been sent to fetch him. He immediately pulled the covers up over his bare chest, his face red as he whispered sharply to the others to leave. Their looks of disdain told him enough, as his rushed to change into his proper attire.

When he arrived at the dining room he was out of breath, but he did his best to straighten himself up as he entered. The dining room was quite grand, it had tall windows from which sunlight seeped in, so the glistening chandelier that hung from the ceiling was only used for evening meals. The dining room table was staggeringly large, meant to fit entire parties of people. But today, like most mornings, it was only him and Delariah. He saw her at the far end of the dining table, approaching her and placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Miss Delariah" He said, smiling. "I apologize for my lateness, as I had some difficulty this morning. The faeries in the garden must have been playing tricks on me again."

Kaia

She looked over her shoulder at Kojiro. "Eh? Really? T... Thanks!" Kaia stuttered slightly. Why was he being so kind all of a sudden? Just yesterday, it seemed like he wanted nothing to do with her, but here he is, offering to buy her new cloths. Kojiro was even smiling! Kaia has been around him long enough to know that him smiling had the same chances as finding a needle in a haystack, blind-folded!

After taking a nudge to the shoulder, she watched as Kojiro walked to the 'forbidden room'. Kaia was told to never go in there, or she'd be fired. She never gave it much thought, but as she walked down the hall to her room, the woman started to think about what could possibly be in that room. "Maybe he does witchcraft... or he keeps all his money in there... or maybe he hides dead bodies in the..." Kaia rolled her eyes, her thoughts even sounded stupid to her.

Let's just say, Kaia surely took her time getting ready. She took over half an hour just brushing her hair out, and pulling out an outfit more appropriate for the outdoors. Kaia now wore a faded, purple dress that fell just below her knees, but kept her hair tied back with her beloved-hair accessory. She grabbed a pair of blue-colored contacts and a white sunhat while making her way out of her room and to the front of the house where Kojiro waited.

Kojiro stepped into the back of the car with Kaia. He leaned forward and told the driver where he wanted to go and the driver started the car, pulled out of the driveway, and started down the street. "I hope you don't mind, but we have to make a quick stop first. I want to go to the cemetery and pay my respects to my parents... Today is the anniversary of their deaths."

After about 20 to 25 minutes the driver pulled into the cemetery driveway. Kojiro exited the car and helped Kaia out as well. His parent's graves were near the back of the cemetery so it was a little bit of a walk. Once they arrived he knelt down in front of their graves and siad "hey guys, I really miss you. I borrowed you're suit to come down here dad, I hope you don't mind." and a tear rolled down his cheek. he spent the next couple of minutes talking to them as if they were right there in front of him. after a couple of minutes he said "Anyway, I just wanted to come by and see you guys for a bit. I love you and i miss you." and put some flowers down at the foot of the graves and got up.

He led Kaia back to the car and got in the back with her. "sorry that took so long." he said and told the driver to head over to the mall next. He looked at the cemetery one more time before the car started up and drove off.

Kaia

As the car drove off, Kaia opened the container containing the blue-colored contacts. She placed them in her eyes and blinked a few times. The young woman glanced over at Kojiro and nodded. "Even if I did mind... as a servant, I don't have a right to a opinion." Kaia said with a shrug. "So that's why he's being so kind suddenly... I'm a distraction." She thought, sitting up in her seat.

Almost a half hour later, they arrived at the cemetery. After Kojiro helped Kaia out of the car, he led her to the graves of his beloved parents. She stood a few yards behind the male, closing her eyes and bowing her head as he spoke. After about 10 minutes of grieving, Kojiro stood up and backed away from the grave.

As he did so, Kaia approached the grave and got on her knees. "... H-Hello, master Kojiro's parents... I don't exactly know what to say, I've been blessed to not have suffered through any of my loved ones death. So... I guess I can just tell you what's going to happen. Let me start off by saying... you really do have a great son. Sure, he's... rough around the edges, a little on the cold side, and... could make better choices with alcohol and drugs... but he is strong. He burns with such a passion for others, however, most don't take the time to see that..."

"I don't know if I've even really seen it... but don't you worry, I'll be there to keep him out of trouble."
She pulled a flower off the brim of her hat, of course plastic, and laid it on top of the tombstone.

Kaia shrugged as Kojiro apologized about how much time the two spent at the cemetery. "It's fine... I didn't mind waiting. It was actually quite peaceful."

DELARIAH - SORESCU

The Young Miss Sorescu was known to favour very high-class food, yet also in a fairly big amount. That morning however, her eyes brighten by the sight of a "normal" breakfast; consist of grains and cereals, fruit and vegetables, eggs, meat and fish, and also tea, coffee, milk and fruit juice to choose from. Pancakes, sausages, French toast, bacon, sweet breads, fresh fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, baked beans, muffins, crumpets and toast with butter and margarine and jam and also marmalade aren't to be forgotten either. A sight rather crazy when knowing that it'll only consumed by two individuals as such amount was obviously impossible for them to eat. It was discussed before that it was too much, but still they won't have the chefs lessen the amount. After all, everything was a show of wealth. And as such, it was significant for the grown ups to maintain, even if it's only their daughter's breakfast we're talking about. Well, you don't have to believe it, Del didn't know about it either and wouldn't understand it if explained. For her, "grown ups" often act like complete idiots, very illogical, irregular, weird and without any compassion.

They're lost cases, unlike faeries who didn't know anything about hierarchies/ social standings and most importantly, wealth and money.

Taking time to sit comfortably, she took a toast and poor milk into her glass. Afterwards, she stood up seeing the jam and the eggs so far away from her reach and took them to her seat. Again, she found the perfect position to sit down comfortably and finally completed the last steps to finally relish her toast as then she heard the door opened. Tsuki!, was her first, with joy filled thought and she was proved to be right. There he stood with his normal attire, looking rather messy especially when regarding his hair.

Del already wanted to criticize his tardiness but then he came to her, approached her with that smile of his and even touched her shoulder, so that she just couldn't. She merely looked up to her private servant and heard out his reasoning. "Miss Delariah. I apologize for my lateness, as I had some difficulty this morning. The faeries in the garden must have been playing tricks on me again." Del had to grin. Tsuki was the only one who believed, the only one who ever listened to her stories and therefore, she felt closer to him than to anybody else. Despite she knew him merely for five months; it was as if she could entrust him everything, at least, almost everything.

"Is that so? Then you have received your punishment already." She said and gestured with her hand that he should sit down. "But!" Suddenly, she raised the boiled egg she had been holding for awhile. "Peel this for me!" She then demanded, and expected him to do it in that instant.

"And aaand Tsuki, you do know what day this is, right?" Her eyes seemed to penetrate Tsuki's eyes, searching for a proof that he knew what she was talking about. "Festival, today in the city. I want to go. You'll accompany me." Of course, Del wasn't permitted to go outside because she was sickly. On top of it, she was the daughter of one of the richest person around and therefore she was in more dangers outside than any other 16 years old teenager. However, she wanted to experience such things, even though it means doing what's not allowed. And Tsuki, well Tsuki was forced to agree upon the idea. Not like Del accepted any ditching.

Alice Bishop

Alice didnโ€™t hear the knocks at the door, she was too intrigued into her book, it was getting to the good part. The beast and the villain were fighting, which has always been her favorite scene. Climaxes were always her favorite part in books, it was when the real good stuff happened.

Finally she looked up when she heard Lorenzo call her name. Alice sighs, she never really liked being interrupted from reading, especially at good parts. "I'm awake." she says, slowly putting her book down.

Maybe she can ask him to get her breakfast, but she usually likes getting it herself to say hi to the cook. Well, her parents always comment about how she almost never uses her servant, why wouldn't she want to use him now, being that she was being lazy today?

She then went to her door, peeking it open a bit. โ€œGood morning, Lorenzo, can you bring me my breakfast, please? The cook usually has it on the dining room table." she says. Before closing the door she remembers another book her dad wanted her to read for him. "Oh, and can you get a book from out my father's room, it should be on his desk and have a spaceship on it, or some other sci-fi nonsense, thank you."

She then closes the door and jumps onto her bed, diving right into her book.
