Permission from the Empress? Luna couldn't help but think that any permission gotten was coerced more than anything. Empress Raven Shoku was perhaps even more protective of the family than anyone else, she wouldn't have allowed something like their likenesses being used without their consent. "What about our guardians' consents?" Ally, as the official guardian for the three children, wasn't she the one who was meant to have the final say? Whatever it was, Luna was angry. She bristled, Paradise threatening to form even as Ronan tapped her arm to try to get her to calm down. It was obvious that here in Haven Luna had no intention of getting along with anyone other than those who she already loved. "For something like the Goddess, you would use her as an advertisement? The Goddess deserves the most respect!" And denying her the chance to say yes was the opposite of respect.

Ronan bonked her head with a scowl. She glanced back at him, pouting. Why didn't he get it? Wasn't he of the same opinion that protecting Yui was their top priority? "Don't mind her, you know how the Angels are." Ronan said with a grin, making her upset. Why was he acting so smiley with this weird man, as if he were just a pitiful dog with no drive to protect on his own. It was pathetic! Why not just attack everyone and make the world belong to them? Wasn't that the best solution? With Paradise, Luna had control over every human now. Well, only really if Ren cooperated. And with extra light doses. But otherwise, yeah! "Oh, it's no problem." The clearly obviously evil man said with a smile. "We wouldn't dream of hurting them. Haven really is just supposed to be a wonderful place for light bearers to learn in a safe environment."

"Good!" Luna stuck her tongue at the enemy, pulling down on one of her eyes in an act of clear anger. Why did they have to hang out with evil people anyways right? "Because Ren and me will punish anyone that tries to use us!" Ren nodded, getting caught up in her angry energy, he could feel it brewing to the back of his head thanks to Paradise's influence. "Yeah! So don't even try to be sneaky and hurt her! Yui will be protected by us always!" Ronan bonked her on the head again, and Xavier bonked Ren so that the two kids would behave. "We really gotta teach you guys to trust a little." Xavier winked at the two Angels. "I'm sure even if they tried to hurt you, no one would be able to stop the two of you."

With a bit of pride, Luna swelled up her chest. "Y-yeah!" She said with a nod and a puff of the cheeks. "We were strong enough to beat up a Star! So don't even try it, human!" With a humpf the little pinkette walked to her seat where she would be sitting next to Yui, taking the window seat. Ren would of course be in the aisle, with Yui squished between them. A plane, filled with light bearers. What could possibly go wrong?

Luna didn't trust it, she made threats and acted brash, going so far as to threaten the chairman despite the fact that he had simply asked the children a question. Yui tiles her head to the side in thought, knowing it wasn't a decision one just jumped right into. "I would love to," she smiled, knowing her angels were acting belligerent again. Yui took her seat between them on the flight, prepared for take off. The school was an eleven hour flight, located all the way in a small island off the coast of England. A piece of property all nations owned.

"This is dumb." Luna said with a sigh. She didn't want any of this! It was all just a waste of time! Instead of going to school, they should be traveling the world and helping cleanse it of darkness, right? Wasn't that their job as Goddess and Angels? "Just play your thing already." Ronan told her from behind them, where he sat with Xavier and Damian. Luna pulled it out of her bag, they were already up in the air. "Here, Yui, lend me your ear." She plugged an earphone in, putting one in her own ear. They were going to play a choose your own adventure story about a girl trying to find her lost puppy. "Do you want to team up with me in this game to pass the time?"

It was a simplistic game, but it still was fun. Having to decide how to look for the puppy, which friends to invite to help look for the puppy, it was the sort of game that she hoped Yui would enjoy. Of course there were some bad ends if you messed up too much, but even so they could always rewind and start again to find the happy ending where the girl finds her puppy and rescues it from the kidnappers! "This game is hard, but let's work together!" Ren craned his head over to stare at the screen. "I'll help too!" He said with sudden determination. "Saving a puppy is important after all!" And so they worked together on the game, because clearly saving the puppy was serious business. "I hope I can play games in class too." Mizu really was an awful influence, wasn't she?

Yui stowed her bag, swinging her legs as the plane took off. It always felt strange, the sudden pop in the ears, the surge of pressure on the body as the plane slanted to lift up. Yui watched out the window as Luna fidgeted around, getting scolded by the boys who were sitting in the aisle across from them. Yui giggled, Ren taking out his soda to drink while they relaxed against the seats. Luna gave a great big harumph, taking out her game system and asking Yui to lend an ear. "What is it?" Yui asked curiously as Luna out an ear bud in, showing Yui the game. A puppy? "Why was it kidnapped?" Yui wanted to know, already tearing up. "Who would hurt a cute little puppy?"

Was it her love of Ping that made her react like this? Perhaps. Ren leaned over, he too, wanted to help save the puppy. "We're coming for you doggy!" Yui cried as Ren leaned in, wanting to hear too. The three of them had to figure out puzzles and clues as to who had taken their missing dog and as to why. What did the kidnappers want? What did they have to gain out of this? They were in the middle of playing when a stewardess came around to pass out dinner. "Excuse me children, but it's time to eat." The stewardess said, pulling their trays down for them. "Tonight you have a choice of fish fingers and rice or chicken nuggets and smiley face French fries." She held out the two plastic models to show them.

"Chicken fingers!" Yui sang, already knowing which one she wanted. Ren got fish fingers and Yui had a feeling that Luna too, would get fish fingers. Once dinner was eaten and their trays were cleared, they were given a small container of vanilla ice cream for dessert. Ren got up to go to the bathroom and Ronan meandered over to see what they were up to. "Saving a puppy," Yui replied casually, hoping they could win the game before their fight landed. "Alright, but you all should go to sleep soon. Damian says you need to rest for at least six hours so you won't be jet lagged." Jet lagged? Yui had forgotten about that. They had, had a hard time adjusting after coming back from Iceland.

"Lulu, maybe we should finish the game in the morning?" Yui suggested as Ren came back. The cabin lights were dimmed, pillows and blankets passed out so that they could sleep. Yui curled up in her seat, hugging Nemi against her. Sleep came easily, the rocking of the plane reminding her of the lull of the sea. Ren took out a book, wanting to do some reading before he nodded off. He could barely get through a sentence before his eyes felt heavy and his head dipped to one side, the book closing in his lap.

The pinkette opened her eyes blearily, looking around in confusion. What was going on? Why were they on a plane? Oh wait, it was because they were being taken to prison, that's why. She blinked a few times, heavily debating if they should just fight their way to safety and then live in Paradise forever. Wouldn't that be nice? She felt something soft against her cheek. It was a black blob with little nubby arms and legs. Oh, the toy Yui had won for her! Dreamer! Or, well, it really was an anime character mascot, but it looked so much like the Dreamers so she decided to happily nuzzle it. "I hope they're doing okay." She looked to the side, Yui was asleep and Ren was kicking his feet, looking bored.

"Oh, good. You're up." He then nudged Yui awake, eyes wide. "Come on! Don't we have a puppy to save? There's only an hour left, so we have no time to waste!" Luna nodded, feeling serious again, both Angels nudging at Yui and snapping their hands in front of her face until finally the most important member of their trio was back. "We're going to save the puppy, I bet there's only a few puzzles left." They had finished a very hard one involving a poem and finding hints in the poem to get the right combination for the number keypad password. Another puzzle required that they have intensive knowledge on the lyrics of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." They were really dastardly, but still, the children were invested, Yui most of all. "Try clicking on that door, stupid!" Ren scolded her, eyes narrowed. "That one has to have the note!"

The current puzzle was trying to decipher a letter from the kidnappers telling the players all about why they kidnapped the puppy, but it was written in code and then cut into different parts. "We have to put them in order and crack the code!" At first it made no sense, even with all five cut pieces obtained. "The letters are just a big messy jumble!" Ren was in deep thought, doing his best to solve it. They only had half an hour left, there was no time to waste! "Luna! Shift all the letters in the alphabet over by one! It's an English puzzle!" Luna did so and then finally the note made sense, one of the kidnappers apologizing and saying that they just wanted to have a dog but didn't have the money to afford it. Luna and Ren exchanged a glance. "Well clearly the kidnapper is evil!" They declared, remembering all the times Yui was kidnapped because other people didn't have enough light to do the right thing.

The plane landed then, they had arrived at Haven. The game was almost won, there was only one last puzzle for them to solve. Well, not really a puzzle - you just had to decide if you would forgive the kidnapper or not in order to determine the ending. "I think we should not forgive." Luna said with an intense nod. "That's right." Ren grinned, nudging Yui. "What do you think? Aren't they evil?" They were completely ignoring Xavier waving his hands at them to get them to come along and enter the front gates to Haven.

Yui thought about it, about the puppy, about how the kidnappers had just wanted to have a dog. "I think we should forgive them," Yui decided. "People aren't inherently good or bad, it's up to us to decide. I think they aren't bad people, just people who made a bad decision and are trying to make up for it. Besides, didn't we have fun solving the puzzles to get our puppy back?" Yui smiled, as innocent and bright as ever. "If we hold onto grudges forever, it makes us the bad person." Yui picked up Nemi, placing the dog in her backpack. She smiled as she shrugged it on, the three children the last ones to exit the plane. A staircase had been lowered, letting all of the students off onto the tarmac. There were ten planes that had landed today, five that had landed yesterday and another three coming tomorrow. Aside from that, there were two boats and one helicopter coming from around the UK.

Haven was a private island located approximately two hundred miles from the mainland of England. It had both beaches and a mountain range, the school sitting in the center of the valley. Yui looked around, her eyes wide. It had just rained, steam coming off of the tarmac. The luggage on the planes was being unloaded and sorted. The main school was located in the center, the dorms spread across campus, as well as recreational facilities such as a pool, a green house, and other activities like horseback riding and archery. Yui's eyes were wide, the dorms were based off of old English architecture, separated by age and gender. There were tables to check in, where they would receive their room key and a welcome packet containing information they would need to know.

Yui swallowed hard, ready for her first school experience. She took a step forward, a tall woman walking towards her. "You must be Yui," she wore a warm smile despite her stiff demeanor. "And these must be your angels, Rena and Luna." Yui nodded, wondering what was happening. "Welcome to Haven, we are so excited to have you attend our school. We hope it meets your standards. If you three could follow me please," she led them to a separate table, handing them each a packet. "These are your safety bracelets, it allows those on staff to keep track of all of the students." Yui looked at the cute pink bracelet, it looked an awful lot like a watch. It told the time, could tell you your heart rate, and even how many steps you took that day. Ren's safety bracelet was a sleek steel color, he ogled at the functions, swiping through the display. "Luna and Yui will be sharing a room in building 2, on floor 2. Ren, you will be sharing with a very nice boy named Shichi from Kyoto." Ren sighed in relief, glad he was sharing with someone else from Japan.

The woman led them to their building, which had five floors total. The first one was for the common area, where they would all be able to gather. There was a game room, a library, couches, a fireplace, and laundry facilities. Yui's jaw dropped when she saw a dog run towards them. "This id your building mascot, Scruffles. He's a very good boy," he gave Yui lick, his tail wagging happily.

Luna sighed, inputting the forgiveness option to Ren's groan of pain. They were treated to cutscenes of the kidnappers making apology cards for the family of the main character who owned the puppy in the first place, and then being allowed to play with the puppy and becoming better people. "This is unrealistic." Luna said, shaking her head. "Bad people don't turn good!" Ronan gnawed on his cheek a little at hearing that, remembering what had happened to him and how hard it was for him to finally become redeemed and trusted by the rest of the team. It was a lot of hard work to be forgiven for killing Jenny, but in the end even Xavier buried the hatchet on his crime. And now he was allowed to date little Luna who for some reason liked him, so that was something.

Here they were at Haven and Luna glared at everyone. She clung to Yui's side, making sure to hiss at anyone looking curiously at the three people with wings. "It's the Goddess!" Someone said in a very thick Irish accent, so Irish that it hurt Luna's head to try to understand it. Why did some people have weird accents? It made no sense! They should all just learn how to English without accents, why else was it the common language of the - "Come on, stop being silly. You're supposed to be excited about being Yui's roommate." Damian told her with a smile, snapping her out of her belligerent anger-ness. "But I have to be protecting Yui! Why would they - wait, what? Oh, okay, that's cool." They probably knew better than to separate the girls, that's for sure.

In the girls building, they were lead over there, separated away from the rest of their family. There was a dog there and Luna stared at it, growling. "Oh, look at the silly Angel." One of the upperclassman laughed at the sight. "I have to protect you, what if it's evil!" Was she maybe taking Mizuki's words of protecting Yui from the evil people at Haven too seriously? But even so, someone had to do it, right? "I'll keep you safe forever!"

Yui giggled, Luna certainly was acting silly. "It's alright, Scruffles looks like a good boy." Yui said as she held out a hand for their new friend to sniff. Their luggage was being taken upstairs, another teacher had gone to lead Ren to his dorm, which was two floors above Luna and Yui's. They were in the same building, divided by gender, so they could see Ren everyday in the common area. Yui was excited to have the same room as Luna, she was a little bit nervous too, about making friends and meeting other girls. While Yui had always easily become companions with just about anyone, she was also notable for her absent mindedness. Unfortunately, Yui was a little bit too trusting of everyone; but that was where Luna came in. She would protect Yui, the child knew, but she also wanted Luna to make friends as well.

Already they were being stared at, other children whispering and pointing. Yui hoped it was only good things, she didn't want the other children to not like her or think of her as special. Yui's wings fluttered, her stomach dancing with anxious butterflies. "After this, we'd like to have you take an aptitude test to see what grade level you fall into." The woman said to Luna and Yui, "then you'll go to your uniform fitting and the opening ceremony, where Yui, Luna, and Ren will be introduced as your student body. The rest will be elected positions," Yui nodded, hoping that she did well enough to be placed in the same class as Ren and Luna. "What happens if we're in different grades?" Yui asked, taking hold of Luna's hands. "Everyone learns differently," the woman told them as she led them to the elevator and to the second floor. "It might be better to not have any distractions either."

Their new room was rather large and nice. It had two beds and plenty of decorations, along with a desk for the girls to share and a book case to fill. Yui put Nemi down on one of the beds, going to look out the window. It was raining again, a light drizzle, but the sun was coming out from behind the clouds. "We have to do well on that test Lulu," Yui was never very smart. As good as she was at speaking languages, she was terrible when it came to studies. Ren was the one that had excelled, if anything, he would be the one to do best on that exam. Were the other children taking tests too? Or perhaps only the ones that had been schooled at home?

For some reason Scruffles decided that Luna's abrasiveness was her just playing around and suddenly the dog was nuzzling up next to her, smiling brightly. "No! I'm not being your friend!" She tried to push the dog away, twisting her head. Why was this happening? Why did Scruffles jump onto her and why was it licking her face? "No! I have to protect Yui!" She struggled and fought and the more she fought Scruffles kept on licking until finally someone pulled him off of her. "He just really likes you." The tall Irish said with a braces-filled grin. "No worries, be happy about it, Angel!" Luna tilted her head, she couldn't tell at all what was being said. What the heck! How dumb!

She brushed off and wiped at the dog spit all over her face, scowling. "This place is evil, Yui, just watch." She hissed and stood herself back up, trying not to look like a maniac. "And people are taking our stuff!" For some reason the girls were laughing at them, as if this was funny! Miss Irish even walked up to Yui and shook her hand. "Your angel is so funny! I hope to make good friends!" She said in that indecipherable Irish accent that was probably so thick you couldn't even swim in it. "My name is Patty Eyre, and I always supported you, Goddess!" Under her eye there was an apple mark, glowing a soft light. "What? Speak English!" She laughed at Luna's hands on her hips. "Silly, you'll have years to get used to my accent!"

After that they were free to go to their room, Luna taking the top bunk. "I'm dumb, so try to be dumb with me so we can be together! As stupid as Luna was, Yui was always smarrter than her. Even with all their homeschooling the bluenette was better at learning than her. "And maybe Ren can dumb down to be with us?" She shrugged as she rifled through their baggages to make sure nothing was stolen.

Scruffles sure liked Luna! Yui was glad that already, Lulu was making friends. "He really likes you!" She chimed, a girl with bright red hair and a freckled face coming over to help pull Scruffles off of Luna. She introduced herself as Patty, her light bearing mark an apple right underneath her eyes, which sparkled a crystal green, a beautiful color. "Wow," Yui smiled, "I've never met anyone with red hair before!" She admired the mane of fiery locks, a color that would most certainly stand out in Japan. "Thank you for your support!" Yui bowed, "I'm so glad to have people like you rooting for me!" Perhaps a bit of a generic response, but what else was Yui supposed to say? Luna, on the other hand, was callous, telling Patty to speak English. "She says her name is Patty," Yui translated into Japanese, just in case Luna needed to brush up on her English.

"They aren't taking our stuff Luna, they're just bringing it to our room." Yui explained as she followed Luna and the woman to their new room. Yui's eyes widened, claiming the bed by the closet. "The bathroom is right outside, you'll be sharing with other girls. There are both public baths and private showers, but if you'd like, I can arrange for you to have special shower times?" Yui shook her head, "That won't be necessary. We want to be as much like the other students as possible," to blend in, if that was even an option. Yui hoped that the whispers were only good things, although they had been laughing at Luna's predicament, possibly because the children had never met a dog before. Sure, they had Ping, but Ping was a cat!

"I think we should try our hardest," even if Luna wanted Yui to dumb down for her and Ren too. If they didn't try their best and give it a good shot, it wouldn't be fair to the other students who would be giving it their best effort. "I'm a little bit selfish," Yui admitted in a whisper, "I know you and Ren don't want to be here, but I can't help but be interested. I always just wanted a normal life, a normal school experience and now, I might finally get one." Because if everyone had light bearing gifts, then they would all be considered normal.

Why was Yui so willing to trust everyone? The pinkette just did not understand! "I know English! But that's not English, it's an alien language!" How anyone was supposed to make heads or tails of Irish was anyone's guess. For some reason Yui wanted to bathe at the same time as the other girls too, a prospect that completely blew poor Luna's mind. She blushed furiously. "I don't like, uh-" But it was too late, the staff member going off to ask the same questions of the other rooms now. She rushed to pour water on her face to make sure the dog gunk was off it before wiping the floor up with a gust of wind to try it of the moisture.

For some reason Luna couldn't fathom, Yui was looking forward to this. She called herself selfish though but that wasn't really the case here. "Politics forced us to come here." She remembered the slight anger in Mizu's voice when she was told about this arrangement. "Raven was manipulated to agree, she didn't want it." Maybe Yui could relax and make friends, but it was Luna's job to stay on alert and view them all as enemies. Why else would supposedly good people turn to blackmail in order to draw the Goddess out of the safety of Japan? The only answer was kidnapping, of course! Luna would destroy them all if they tried to do that because in secret, her Playsystem Vista was actually recording and sending everything in video and audio to Mizuki's computer back at home. If there was ever foulplay, their team back home would know and be able to use that against them.

"Fine, have fun, but I'll stay on protection duty, okay?" She had her job as an Angel, why did she have to worry about getting good grades? It wasn't like she was going to graduate and try to get into a good school with her marks or anything. It was all just fanfare, and so keeping Yui safe was her number one directive above all else and that was a fact! Taking her side of the room, Luna strew everything around the floor, too lazy to be neat about it as her clothes became piles flying out of her luggage. "Wanna play more games with me on the Vista?" She asked, offering an earphone. There was a whole library of games to choose from!

Yui giggled, "it's called an accent silly. You have an accent too," why was Luna so opposed to making friends? The other children were all light bearers too, so if they ever had a problem with the staff, they could just team up! Why didn't Luna see this as a good thing? "Lulu, we're making potential allies here. Imagine having light bearers from all around the world, united for one cause." Perhaps Yui too, had an agenda in coming here. The child smiled innocently, but maybe there was something more behind her meaning for coming here. Aside from being a political pawn of course. Yui turned towards the window, they had a beautiful view of the forest. "You can always tell her that you want a private shower time? I'm sure they aren't going to be open showers." In such a nice place like this, it was probably shower stalls.

"Just because we were forced to come here doesn't mean we can't enjoy it." It was like their time in Anathema, while they had been captives, there were some moments that Yui had genuinely enjoyed. "Raven was manipulated because I'm dangerous Luna," there was no pushing it aside. Yui's existence alone was technically a disturbance of nature. "I'm not natural, I have abilities that can potentially hurt and kill a lot of people. It would only make sense that they don't want Japan to have that power to themselves." As much as they wanted to deny it, there had already been plenty of incidents of Yui hurting people when she hadn't meant to.

"Okay, but don't work too hard and burn yourself out, alright?" Yui was only half joking, she knew that Luna would take the chance to slack off as soon as she could. Already Luna just wanted to play on her game system, but Yui wanted to explore. "The sun's coming out, let's go look at the campus before we have to go take our test!" Yui chimed, their new residence was so large and vast, Yui had to wonder where the UN had gotten the money for it. "According to the packet, we can choose as many extracurricular activities as we want." Which meant that Yui could try a little bit of everything.

Hmpf! For a Japanese, Luna - mostly because of Aria - had a very good English voice! Well, it wasn't perfect unfortunately but still better than how most Japanese people tried to speak English that's for sure. And better than stupid Irishlady! "I can Paradise them to make them on our side." She said with a little pout. As for Yui being dangerous, she was supposed to be! That was the point, wasn't it? "It's called you're the Goddess. You exist to bring light, so why don't they just trust you and not worry about it?" In fact, wasn't it absolute disrespect to suspect that the Goddess might be violent and hurt others for no good reason? And the way to pay back disrespect was to force them to change, wasn't it!

"No, I don't want to!" Luna cried as Yui pulled her hand so that they could explore the building. In the room right next to theirs there was a familiar face. Patty was there, freckled face and flaming red hair galore, waving at them. "Oh, me and my roommate were going to explore. Do you want to come with us, Yui, Luna?" The girl next to her was a bit shorter but still somewhat tall. "I am Ishani Gabri." She looked strange and had a circlet wrapped around her head and hair. Luna of course, had never seen an Egyptian before so there was no way for her to know these things. "Why do you have a thing on your head?" She asked the darker skinned girl. Ishani gave a shy sort of smile. "Um, it's my culture." As the girl moved her hand up to touch the headpiece Luna caught a glimpse of a crab light mark under the nail of her left hand thumb.

Patty had a big smile of course, speaking in that language that was obviously not English. "We're all about the same age, so maybe we'll be in the same class? Here, let's go explore!" Tall Patty gave a mischievous grin as she lead the party out to look around the yard to see what was undoubtedly a variety of clubrooms. A building where people could paint, a building for music, a stage for stage things - and Noise was already showing off her incredible gymnastics here - there was so much. "I hope there's a game room." Luna said with a smirk. "So I can play my games!" Ishani looked at the others with a shy smile. "I want to join the swim club." The Egyptian girl said. "I was the best swimmer back home for my age group." Luna puffed out her cheeks. "Yui's the best swimmer! Just you wait!" Suddenly water sprinkled up and around, showing itself to be like a rainbow behind her. "I can make raindrops from my hands, and I was training for the Olympics!" The shy girl was opening up now, happy to talk about her favorite hobby.

Yui dragged Luna out of the room, their next door neighbors, Patty and Ishani peeking out as well. "Hello," Yui held out her hand, wanting to properly introduce herself. "I'm Yui, we didn't get to meet in full," Patty shook Yui's hand exuberantly, Ishani giving a shy nod of the head. The four of them set off to explore the campus, Yui and Luna seeming tiny compared to a girl that was of normal height for their age. The first building they explored was the one that contained the club activities, there were so many rooms, each door containing a poster describing what might find within. An art room to paint and explore, a photography club to snap photos of daily living, a robotics club to build and fight robots, even a swim club! "Wow, there's so many," Yui admired as they stopped, Luna already getting into a fight with Ishani, who had been training for the Olympics.

"Really?" Yui bound over to her eagerly, taking Ishani's hands in her own. "That's incredible!" She could make rain from her hands! That was so cool! The rain drops tickled Yui's skin, setting her ena aglow with sparkles. "Wow!" Patty admired, "you're all shiny!" Yui giggled, doing a twirl. "That's my ena, it's so I can breath underwater!" Yui grabbed Luna's hand, pulling down her sleeve to show it off. "Lulu and Ren have it too!" Although Yui had only gotten to use it for real once so far, on the day that Luna and Ren had kidnapped and taken her to the ocean. It had been a great day, although they weren't supposed to leave and Ally and Raven had been worried sick and looked everywhere for them.

"Yui, Luna?" Ren burst through the door, "I've been looking everywhere for you!" He panted, having clearly run around frantically in his search. "Ren, there you are! These are our new friends, Patty and Ishani!" Yui chirped. Patty and Ishani both stepped back, looking a bit fearful. "There's something... off about you," Ishani said outright, pointing a finger at Ren. The boy grinned, "That's because I'm not a light bearer," he said, taking Yui's hand. "I'm the King of Darkness!" The girls blinked, then began laughing, causing Ren to frown. "King of Darkness? But you're so tiny!" Their fear had quickly worn off. "Anyways Yui, Luna, they want us in the testing hall to figure out grade placement and stuff." Yui nodded, she had known this was coming but was hoping to see more before that. "We'll see you later Patty and Ishi!"

Luna scowled making a dirty expression. Why was stupid Ishani trying to impress Yui like this? "No!" Luna cried, clinging to Yui's arm. "I'm her best friend, stop trying to show off!" Why was everyone trying to steal Yui away from her? "Well I'll join the game club!" Patty grinned, hooking an arm around her shoulder. "I love games too! Board games are my favorite!" The tall redhead said, braces smacking to make her accent even worse than it already was. Luna scowled, wriggling out of the way. "Help! She's touching me!" Her job was not to make friends with anyone, it was to stay on guard like a - "She's like a guard dog!" Patty grinned, patting her head over and over. Luna pinched her and ran behind Yui, trembling. "This place is scary!"

Gladly Luna separated from them, staying with Yui to get ready for grade testing. It was nice to see that Ren was doing okay too though. So the two girls entered the building to get ready for testing stuff. "Let's try to place together, okay?" Luna was very bad at pen and paper studies. She was very good at human perception studies. Therefore there was no way she was going to do well either way. The papers were delivered to her. "Good luck, Luna." Someone told her and she glared daggers, wishing to just pick a fight and not have to worry about this. "I bet they're just laughing as I struggle, aren't they?" How mean! They only invited her here to laugh at her for her stupidity, didn't they? As can be expected, Luna did absolutely terribly. What could be expected when she was too busy being angry to really focus?

Yui didn't want to join a game club, but she also didn't want to disappoint Luna. Already the child found herself being torn between staying with her angel and exploring new horizons. "Don't hold people back Lulu," Ren said as they walked towards the testing room for all light bearers who had received a home based education. "We need to broaden our horizons, who knows, maybe you're a great cook? Or have a knack for horses?" Ren hold out a poster, grinning and holding up two fingers. "I'm gonna try out the archery club," Yui's eyes widened. She had no idea that Ren had an interest in archery! "That's cool! I hope you're good at it!" Ren nodded, "Well I might not be, but I'll learn and practice. It's a cool sport," he had decided after watching a movie about children who had to survive a war inside of a glass ball and only one could escape.

They entered the testing room, the children separated so that they wouldn't cheat. "Good luck Lulu, do your best!" Yui waved, taking a seat. "I would wish you luck Ren, but you don't need it," he snickered, giving the girls a thumb's up and taking his place. Yui leaned over the paper as the room quieted down, picking up her pencil in preparation. The clock began to tick, their time starting. She glanced at the first question, which was thankfully just asking her name. Yui wrote it down in Japanese, then erased it and tried again in English in case the teacher couldn't read it. The first few questions were basic knowledge, but as the pages went on, the questions became harder.

She gave it her best effort and hoped that it would pay off. Yui sighed, leaning back in her seat, she couldn't go on any longer, the test was just getting too hard. Ren sat up, stretching; he too, had done his best. They exchanged a glanced, looking over at Luna who no doubt had given up before it had even begun. When it was over and they were released, they had to go to their uniform fitting.

Wait, not fair! If Ren was going to try to improve his skills, then why couldn't Luna do something like that too? But she was still a stupid though, so even if she tried was it going to amount to anything? Luna didn't know, but she never really knew so what was the point anyways. She supposed she would look around to see what else was around, but if there wasn't she would might as well just end up in the game club as a last resort. She had a feeling in the rulebook that there was something about clubs being mandatory, since it was good for everyone to have an extracurricular skill to help them in the job market later. Not that she was good at anything or whatever. She sighed, exiting the test room, knowing that she had failed and no longer giving half a care.

Uniform fitting time. Luna was grinding her teeth unhappily as she and Yui were taken to be fitted. Yui was of course smaller than her, but only by the tiniest margins. To anyone's untrained eye they would think the two girls were effectively twins if not for Yui having more of a heart-shaped face and Luna's being a bit more round, Luna's bright natural pink hair and Yui's something between blue and colorless was a factor too, of course. And their body language as well, was completely different. "Did you see?" Luna asked once they were out of the fitting. "It's blazers! And pleated skirts!" Not really Japanesey at all, was this what Western fashion was called? "I heard Baroness Kate helped design these." Ren said with a grin. "I already made friends with Shichi! I bet Luna didn't make friends with anyone at all!" Luna stuck her tongue out. "Never! I'd rather eat poop!"

"Isn't it cute?" Yui asked, giving a twirl in her new uniform. She was excited to wear it, even if the others weren't. They would each receive five uniforms, one for every day of the school week. "Yui, you could wear a paper bag and you'd look good," Ren replied. He had already made friends with his new roommate, but Luna was claiming that she'd rather eat poop than make friends with the other students. "But Lulu, making friends is important! After all, you have Ren and I, but won't having more friends that you have something in common with mean you can find more people to talk to about things you enjoy?" Yui wished that Luna wouldn't insist on being grumpy about everything, she wanted them to have a good time at their new school!

"The Baroness designed them, she sent me a letter before we got here with a few pictures of the designs." Yui giggled, her and the Baroness were always talking to each other on holo phones, which unfortunately, they weren't allowed to use during school hours. "I hope we get to go on field trips, I've always wanted to see England. Yui didn't think that was going to happen though, after all, the island was meant to keep them in, so why would they ever have a reason to take the children out? It was wishful thinking really, but Yui could always dream, couldn't she? Maybe if Ally came to visit, she could take them to see England? Yui had heard that a Queen lived there! In a fancy castle with fuzzy hat wearing guards!

"It's almost time for the opening ceremony," Ren said, checking his schedule. He looked at his watch, confirming the time. "We're supposed to be there, the comity wants to introduce us to the students." Yui nodded, recalling what they had said. Wearing their new uniforms, they made their way to the auditorium for the opening remarks. The three of them had reserved seats in the front and when beckoned, they would go up on stage.

Luna stuck her tongue out yet again, frowning at all of this. This was all so dumb! "I just want to fly and be free to do whatever I want." She said with a sigh, shaking her head. But school was going to restrict her, clip her wings and lock her here on the ground. What was she supposed to do? How could she find happiness like this? "And also fight bad guys!" Ren snickered and pointed her towards a futuristic looking building. "The robots club!" Ren said with a snarky grin. "I'm sure a blockhead like you would love to go there!" Luna shook her head, what good would she be there? "That's for super geniuses! I can't build robots, that's for Ally!" Oh, Ally would love to go there, wouldn't she? But then again, at VorTech, she was allowed to work on the real thing.

Wearing their new Baroness-designed outfits, the stellar trio of Goddess and Angels headed to the front line where they would be sitting. A large group of students were here and both Luna and Ren could feel the light bleeding through Paradise to the back of their heads, as if asking for them to pull through. Was it really safe to have so much concentrated light here? The speech was made by the Chairman with that stupid smarmy face. "And of course, representing the student body will be Yui Vorkov herself, the Savior, and her two angels, Luna and Ren!" Lune glowered at everyone, looking sour and threatening as possible for someone of her small frame, black wing flaring. "I'm Luna!" She declared. "And it's my job to protect Yui from all the bad people!" She could distinctly hear an Irish laugh, Patty clearly finding this enjoyable.

"You can still do things that you want, maybe you can petition the school to open up a flying club? Then you can take to the skies whenever you want!" Yui had read in the handbook that if there was enough interest, students could form their own club so long as they had a supervising teacher and a place to meet. "Fighting bad guys I think is done," or at least, Yui hoped so. She didn't think the school had bad guys, but there were always bad teachers you weren't good at their job. Ronan met them at the orientation, waving them over to the reserved seats. "You three should be on your best behavior," he warned, already wearing his new uniform. It was a size too small, he was going to have to get it fixed. It stuck to the ripple of his muscles, to every bicep and was especially tight around the legs.

The speech had begun, the Principal coming out to address the students. He introduced their representatives, the children coming up on stage to smile and say a few words. Luna started it off, already threatening everyone and declaring that her job was to protect Yui. Ren was a bit friendlier in his address, "I hope to make plenty of friends and have a great experience here in Haven!" He said, giving a polite wave. Yui stood upright a bit stiffly, rather nervous. She had never spoken publicly before, this was going to be a new experience. "Hello everyone, I'm Yui!" They laughed politely, they already knew that of course. If you didn't know who the Goddess and her angels were, you were possibly living under a rock.

"I'm so glad to be on our student body and I hope to get along with you all! Please feel free to come introduce yourself! We're in your care!" She bowed, Ren following her lead and beckoning to Luna to do so as well. Once the three had returned to their seats, a few of the teachers made a short address and then it was dinner time, the dining hall able to fit the entire school in it. "I hope they have good cake!" Yui declared as she rose from her seat, stretching. "I heard that they hired a private chef to make food for the school!"

"There will always be bad guys." Luna whispered cryptically, staying close to Yui in her vow of protection. Her eyes lit up with passion, burning brighter than the sun even as Ren and Yui introduced themselves normally. Once it was over the three girls returned to their reserved seat to see the rest of the ceremony. The anger was everlasting and permanent and super strong and Luna would hold onto it forever - wait, why did Ronan look so hot? Why did he look so rugged? Luna was almost drooling over him at the sight, her anger abated by how nice her boyfriend was to look at. "Uh, is she okay?" Ren asked with a crooked grin as Ronan smirked at her, knowing exactly what was going through her head. "Or I can just not get this readjusted." He said with a wink, making Luna squirm a little more.

Eventually it was over and the students were allowed back to their dorms for the night. Immediately as Luna walked through the doors she was tackled by the dog yet again, Scruffles licking her face, paws on her shoulders, big stupid happy dog smile filling every corner of her vision. "No! Get off! I'm not food! Stop!" She struggled and fought but no matter what she did the dog was going to have it's fun until a mixture of Ishani and Patty were able to pull him off of her yet again. "He really likes you." Ishani said shyly, helping Luna back to her feet. "He's evil!" Luna declared proudly, tackling the dog... only to once again be knocked to the ground and smothered in licks and kisses.

With that, their first official day at school had come to a close. Their schedules had been delivered to their bedrooms and Yui found it tacked on her door. "Ooh, I'm so nervous!" She opened up the envelope to see what her test results had yielded. Nervously, Yui took the paper out, blinking when she saw her grade assignment. "Fifth grade! I got fifth grade!" Yui said excitedly. A knock came from behind the door, Ren strode in, holding up his schedule with a proud grin. "Wow, ninth grade Ren, that's incredible!" Yui's eyes sparkled, the two of them turning to look at Luna, who had yet to open her envelope. "What did you get Lulu?" Yui wanted to know, hoping that they were at least in the same class. Luna could read and write, which meant she wouldn't be in kindergarten or first grade, where you learned those basic skills.

"I bet Luna's in at least third grade," Ren nodded, hoping that she hadn't done that badly on the test. Ren just had a natural affinity for books and learning, which was why he had been placed so high. He had also been made to study nearly everyday in Anathema, the cult that had drilled the children with lessons. "I think she did better, maybe even fourth or fifth grade!" Yui chimed, wondering if she had been placed in that grade level because of her height. She didn't like that they were being split up, but knew that if Ren was succeeding then he shouldn't be held back. The children all needed to be accountable for themselves and perhaps having a bit of individuality and independence would be good for them. "If Luna needs it, I can tutor her," Ren offered a bit snarky as he made his way out. "Goodnight guys, I'm gonna head to bed."

Yui too, prepared for sleep. She changed into her pajamas, their belongings having been unpacked for them while they were gone and their suitcases put into storage. "The bed is so cozy," Yui said, wishing she had brought pictures to hang up on the wall like she had seen in Patty and Ishani's room.

Luna was still trying to save herself from the disgusting dog slime when Ren strolled in, looking pleased with himself and his score of ninth grade. Yui got fifth grade and Luna was very loathe to look at hers. She was so loathe to do so that she utterly refused and simply laid down, still feeling a little warm from her very hot shower. She did it on purpose of course because her intention was to waste as much money as possible with the heating bills! Mwahaha! Wasn't that such a dastardly plan? Luna thought that while she was bad at books and at studying, when it came to rebelling, she was an honors student, right? Maybe? Then Ren grabbed it from her and tore it open, revealing the grade.

"Hah! What an - wait, fifth grade? How? But your score is so bad!" Ren mocked her like he always did. Luna grabbed it back with a scowl, glaring hard at him. All he ever did was make fun of her! A special note fell out, written just for her. She read it quickly and sighed, feeling more tired than ever. The note told her that she scored to be within the third grade level, but because they knew she had given up instantly, they decided to place her where they thought would be enough to challenge her. And thus, Luna was just barely placed in the very bottom of the requirements to fit fifth grade and thus be allowed to be in the same class as Yui. "W-well, at least I'm with Yui!" She retorted, and that made Ren shrug. "Or maybe you're not giving her the space she needs to make friends?" Ren grinned and left, leaving Luna full of questions and confusion.

Luna plugged in her earphones and played the new Space RPG video game on the Playsystem Vista. She got so engrossed in the story that by the time the sun rose and morning came the pinkette's head was killing her and she was so exhausted and yet the first official day of school was now set to begin. "I'm gonna skip." Luna declared, rolling over on her bed and shutting her eyes to actually get some sleep.

Unlike Luna who had decided the best way to start school would be with a migraine, Yui had gotten a full night's rest. She awoke bright and early in order to shower and refresh her ena and returned in her bathrobe to Luna complaining that she was going to skip. "Okay, but at least come to lunch." Yui wasn't going to try to spend time convincing Luna to go to class because she knew that such a task would be fruitless. "And make sure you don't spend all day in bed. At least come to clubs, okay?" Yui said as she pulled her hair back and braided a ribbon into it the way Ally used to do. Yui pulled on a fresh diaper and carefully buttoned up her uniform, ready for the first day. "I'm going to breakfast Lulu, okay?" Yui tucked her schedule into her pocket, knowing that she was going to be needing it later. "I'll see you later!" She chirped, heading off on her first official day.

Patty and Ishani were in the hallway, dressed in their uniforms. Patty's hair had been pulled up into a messy bun, her glasses sitting on the bridge of her nose while Ishani looked perfectly prim and proper, as though she had just walked off of the runway for a school uniform fashion show. "Good morning!" Patty said, waving exuberantly. "Morning," Yui smiled. "Where's Luna?" Ishani asked, glancing around Yui to see the closed door. "She's running a little late this morning," Yui confessed, walking with them to breakfast. "I'm hoping she'll make it to class, but she didn't look like she slept all that well." It wasn't a lie considering Luna had awoken looking like death. Ren was waiting for her on the common floor, waving. He was in the same class as Patty and Ishani, who giggled when Ren took Yui's hand so as not to separate from her.

"Let's go to breakfast," she said happily, walking with the three of them to the dining hall. Ronan, Damian, and Xavier were sitting together at a table in the corner, her big brother bounding over when he saw her enter the dining room. "Where's Luna?" Ronan frowned, wondering why she wasn't with them. "Luna's being dumb," Ren replied, "she probably stayed up all night playing video games." Ronan frowned, he grabbed an apple from his tray and went off to find her while the children found seats, chowing down. Yui nibbled at her french toast sticks, feeling strange as she used a fork to dip them in into maple syrup. They had stations where you could gather food from just about everywhere, but without anyone encouraging her, Yui had just chosen the closest thing to bread that she could.

"Yui, take a few more bites," Ren nudged her, recalling Ally's words. With a groan, Yui ate another stick, not wanting Ren to pester her all day. The school bell rang, signaling that it was time to head to their first class. "I'll see you at lunch," Yui said as she and Ren parted. "Remember, if you need me, just think and I'll hear it!" Ren waved, heading off with Patty and Ishani.

Luna was fast asleep of course, curled up into a little ball as she simultaneously hugged her portable video game system as well as Dreamy the Dreamer plushie toy and last but not least, Minako, the chain dagger always wrapped around her thigh just waiting to be used. She was so out of it that when someone roughly shook her awake she punched him right in the face. Ronan fell back, nose suddenly bleeding and he was quick to grab a tissue using a blood tail to wipe up the blood now decorating his face. "Hey, Lulu." He said as Luna's eyes slowly opened. "Today's your first day, you have to make a good impression." There was a delicious smell about, a fish sandwich was brought up for her since she hadn't shown up downstairs for breakfast. There was even her favorite juice, lemon!

Luna frowned, wriggling in her bed as her head began to kill her yet again. "No! My head hurts! I'm sick!" Ronan raised an eyebrow, spying the Playsystem Vista nestled in the crack of her arm revealing precisely why she had a migraine now. "You brought this upon yourself!" He lifted her up and pulled her nighties off of her, causing Luna to blush deeply as she tried to fight against him. "Stop being so embarassed, I've seen all of you already. Here, now you're ready." He did her hair in pretty braids, he made sure the blazer was buttoned up just right, he did everything for her as she glared at him. "I don't want to go to school." She admitted, sounding miserable. "I want to kill the politicians who brought us here! They're disrespecting us after all we did to save the world!" Ronan gave her a slight smile and patted her head.

"Did you know? One of Yui's longest wishes was to be able to go to school and be a normal girl." Luna stared dubiously at him as he picked her up and carried her out of the girl's dorm, even protecting her from that evil mutt, Scruffles. "So?" He grinned, knowing she was being purposely obtuse. "Being able to go to school is one of her dreams come true. You being here and helping her feel like a normal girl will make her so happy. Do you want Yui to be happy, Luna?" Luna squirmed, hands clasped over her eyes to protect them from the glaring blaze of the sun trying to fry her brain and kill her poor head. "Yes..." She admitted, turning her head. This was manipulation and the pinkette knew it.

But she also knew that it was her duty to make Yui smile for the time she had left here before she had to go to the Star Layer and leave them all behind. "So be good, okay? I trust that you can protect her smile until the end." Luna sighed, slipping out of his grip. "Fine! I'll go to my class then!" Ronan pushed her in the right direction after she almost went down the hall to the grade seven room. With lemon juice and fish sandwich in her tummy, Luna went to sit in the assigned seat on the chart and waited for the rest of the class to show. As she did so, she fell asleep again.
