Name: Athena
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Faction: The World of the Sky
Role: Veteran Pilot
Synchronization Level: N/A
Personality: Athena is a cunning woman that always seems highly disinterested in her surroundings unless in the seat of her armor, or in some sort of competitive situation.
For all intents and purposes, she is a genius, and she knows it. Very rarely do people meet her standards, even fellow Transcendent. She voices her opinions and is as blunt as a club, caring nothing for who she might be a addressing. She believes in being straightforward unless combat is involved, in which case, the more obscure your moves and motives are, the easier it is to overcome your enemy.
She has little sense of humor, and doesn't seem to take much enjoyment from her surroundings. Despite some reservations other might harbor for her, they admit that she is level headed and has an eye for strategy and an untouchable tenacity, but also possesses a sadistic savagery that often unnerves those serving alongside her.
Appearance: Athena is an athletically built woman standing about 5'8" and carries herself as if she were a noble out of some human fantasy fable. Her long hair flows freely down her back and is of such a white color that it appears fake, and reflects the colors around her. Her eyes are obviously artificial due to their red hue. and her pale for is periodically tattooed with strange, red markings.
In battle she wears a fairly typical, red pilot suit, and out of battle she is most often seen in some sort of red, form fitting clothing.
CCA-V1 The Silent King
Machine Spec and Detail:
The Silent King, as Athena calls her armor, is close combat model. It is a unique variant of a highly successful prototype that, unfortunately, did not end up seeing production, but had several other variations based off of its design. It has been modified with the perfect blending of strength, mobility, and durability with reinforced armor and structure of lighter materials.
The Silent king would be described as a monster in combat performing equally well on the ground, or in the air. and boasts the latest sensor and output configurations.
The armor's most glaring weakness is it's inability to be submerged more than a few dozen meters before suffering.
Shield Generator:
The wings allow for easy mobility in the air, or in space and are sturdy enough to be used in battle as a last resort. The strange horse abutments are actually elegantly hidden refractor field generators. The fields themselves are effective against all manner of ranged weaponry, but due to their nature, they are worthless in melee combat, as an opponent would be inside the field's coverage. The field itself only able to stop projectiles, an enemy mech, or a sword for example, pass through as if the field didn't exist.
Pauldrons:
The shoulder plates, while sturdy, are in fact, a pair of triple barreled plasma cannons that, while possessing limited range, are devastating when used up close. A full salvo might reduce a mass produced frame to motel metal in moments. The power required, and extreme heat generated by the cannons hinder their performance however, allowing each barrel to be discharged twice, back to back, before the system enforces a several minute long cooldown and recharge period.
Testament Power Sword:
The sword is, for all intents and purposes, a typical top of the line combat sword, but when its power cell is activated, the blade is sheathed in a lethal corona of disruptive energy. This energy field allows the blade to carve through flesh, bone and most forms of armor plate alike, making the sword a highly effective close combat weapon.
Testament Wing Shield:
The companion aegis to the power sword that shares its name. The shield is far more robust than anything carried by most other troops, and bears its own, short lived refractor shield generator. The power cells lasting only an hour at the most.
Abilities outside the cockpit: Athena is an expert swordswoman and a fair hand-to-hand combatant. She has a knack for strategy and problem solving, often managing to think outside the box, or predict what her adversaries might be thinking.
She is an avid lover of Klova, a Transcendent form of Chess, and claims to have only lost to her current commander.
Due to her time in the military, and most notably, a pilot, she is gifted with a heavy dose of self-discipline and knows her way around mechs as if it were second nature.
Beyond this, she is known to have an amazing singing voice, and her quarters are piled with neatly stacked books.
History: Athena is the product of a Transcendent orphanage program that takes in the children of those who have either cast their offspring aside, or have lost their parents in some sort of accident or mishap.
The children within the program are monitored and tested for future potential.
Athena was something of a prodigy, never taking to the other children much, nor participating in group activities unless forced, but instead was capable of performing complex equations and advanced problem solving well beyond the typical means of her peers.
As the years progressed and the testing became even more exacting and pointed, they found that Athena excelled at nearly any field they placed her in, but showed a disdain for the sciences and anything that made her work alongside others too much.
It was when she saw the middle point of her sixteenth year that she discovered her love, and aptitude for piloting combat armor.
She was sent to the academy in short order and graduated in an impressive two years later and has been serving with the current branch ever since. She has earned herself quite a reputation for her calculated savagery and unwavering battlefield calm and strategy amongst her allies, and is infamous among the human as a vicious demon to be avoided at best, or exterminated at worst.
