Grim reapers are feared across the world, known as icons for death and misery. But they aren't the dark soul stealing beings legends tell of. They are not the skeletal monsters the legends speak of. They play a more serious role in the world.

When someone dies, their soul is left to wander the Earth. It during this time that a soul is at risk. Creatures known as serpentiles, scour the Earth, hidden from the naked eye. These creatures feed on lost souls and create more serpentiles. They resemble human beings, but share features of other dangerous animals. If they grew to large in number, they would be able to devour all life on Earth.

5 years have passed since the Sentrada, Zane Alsana, started his training at the temples in China, and the war between the Feral Sentrada and the Reapers and their allies the Felan, sepentile's that feed on animal souls. has been brutal. The number of Feral Serpentile has been growing rapidly with the casualties of the war. The Reapers are dwindling in number, and many have deverted to the Feral's side under their unknown leader. More the 63% of the known world has fallen to the Feral, and the Styx Reaper School is the last stronghold left, constantly assaulted and barely holding on.

Zane Alsana, the first year Reaper who was born to be the Sentrada, destroyer of time and space, has finished his training with the Chinese monks in the temples along China's vast mountain ranges in order to control the destructive powers he possesses and suppress the Sentrada's need to kill. The friends he made in his short time as a Reaper have been sent to meet and retrieve him, escorting him to the Reaper territory for his help in the war, and to keep a watchful eye on him in case of his Sentrada's emergence.
