May 19th – 25 degrees and a few clouds

It was a beautiful day; the water down at the beach was crystal clear, while the sand shimmered as the sun’s ray’s reflected. Not one worry paraded through Rosalee’s mind, except for the fact that her skin would soon wrinkle from floating in the water all day, allowing the waves to guide her down the endless shore. The temperature of the water was almost too perfect, and every once in a while she would feel a small, slimy creature brush up against her dangling foot, leaving a tickling sensation in its place. It almost seemed too good to be true, and that it was. All of a sudden a huge, icy, cold wave engulfed her, bringing along all the homework and chores piling up in her reality.

Rosalee sat up with a gasp as a similar wave, more so a splash, drenched her, her floaty slightly rocking and threatening to flip. Wiping the water from the large splash created by other’s in the pool off her face, Rosalee couldn’t help but wish that she could be at a gorgeous tropical island without the stresses of everyday life pulling her back. As she rested her palm on her thigh, Rosalee let out another gasp, realizing her entire body from the tops of her feet and all the way up to her chest was tinted a rosy red; she could only imagine what her face looked like.

“How come no one told me I was burning?!” Rosalee began to dig her hands into the water, slowly propelling herself towards the ladder of the pool. When she finally stepped out, she instantly regretted the speediness she had taken when the sting of the burn began to set in.

“Ow, ow, ow,...” She winced with every tiptoed step as she made her way through the backdoor and into the house, leaving wet footprints in her path. This would give Lucy a good laugh.

Location; The Dining Room
Project number 987165...

The heat, belting down on the patio, had quickly proven too much for this dark haired wall flower. Whilst plenty of the pack lounged outside, on sun chairs, on the lilos and in the pool, Rosie had slipped away and hidden inside, working on yet another patchwork quilt. This time, she had incorporated floral print fabric into the diamond shapes around the edge, as well as other patterned materials. Rosie's fingers moved nimbly over the soft material, pushing and pulling the needle through and through, followed by a slim white thread. It took her no time at all to fasten and fix together the last edge. Now she had to turn it the right way around, attach the buttons and....

“Ow, ow, ow,...”

Rosie looked up from her blanket and smirked, though trying to stifle her laugh. Who should come through but none other than a very, very red and raw Rosalee. All too soon, Rosie's resolve shattered and her chuckle burst forward. "Rosalee! What on earth?!" she giggled, clutching her stomach as she gasped for air. "Ever heard of sun lotion?!" Rosie hopped up from her chair and pattered over, bare feet across the cool tile, and intercepted Rose's journey through the house. "Exactly...how long have you been out there?" Rosie asked, her tone almost scolding. There it was; her motherly nature. Despite her young age, and the fact that some were older than her, Rosie mothered EVERYONE. Including the Alphas. Rosie gingerly place her hands on the burnt girl's shoulders and steered her towards the fridge. She pulled out a stool from under the breakfast bar, and carefully guided Rosalee onto it. "Sit, stay," she barked, turning away to the fridge and pulling the door open.

There was a glassy chink as Rosie rummaged through some medication bottles, and finally pulled out some Calamine Lotion. Rosie swept across the room towards the medical cupboard and pulled out some cotton wool pads. "Here we go," she cooed, opening the bottle and wetting the cotton wool. Rosie turned her head this way and that as she dabbed the Calamine Lotion onto Rosalee's skin. "This should help...it's cold mind," she warned, just a little too late since she had already begun. "You'll want to go sit somewhere cool now, and have a cold shower too. I can always put some more on later if it's still hurting..." Rosie offered, screwing the cap back onto the bottle and stowing it into the fridge.

"Just be more careful next time!" Rosie called, waving a hand in the air as she departed for her room, pausing only to pick up her blanket and sewing kit.

Alice
Outdoor pool

Alice grinned to herself from her floating position on a lilo as Roselee began making the water choppy. It wasn't a surprise she'd become victim to the suns merciless UV rays, not everyone could have impenetrable skin...like herself. She smiled smugly and peaked out from under her sun glasses to double check she was going a dark brown. There was nothing quite like a hot day relaxing in the pool, with such a heat no one wanted to do trivial things like chores and homework. Even the pack Alpha's couldn't disagree that today was a day to chill.

Alice had ensured she moved as little as possible with a thirst aid strapped to her head aka a beer helmet. The beer cans replaced with two cans of cool coca-cola. She gave her straws a quick draw. If anyone was more lazy than this water babe, they'd be pushing up daisies.
The others sloshed about around her and some, like Rosie hid indoors like nocturnal hermits. Alice was quite content with simply laying. Being bored was actually pretty pleasant.

Callum
Kitchen

Leaning into the fridge Callum fixed every shelf with a steady stare, he was searching for the hidden goodies that had to be consumed in the heat, there were certain things you had to eat when the sun was out, it was tradition, a necessary action...it was yesterday's left over burgers and sausages. Scooping up the bowls after a quick glance over his shoulder to check the coast was clear, Callum hastily exited the kitchen.

That was how things rolled in the Pack house, the rules here were the same as they were at home, there were no pleasantries or best behaviour rules here, the Alphas were the parents away from home and they had to deal with exact same shit Callum's real parents had to; which happened to include thieving left over food from the fridge.

Strolling towards the pool where most had congregated he spotted Roselee heading inside looking like a ripe tomato. He gave a wolf whistle and shot her a wink.

"Hey Rose I was looking for some tomato ketchup! Come lay on my sausages" he joked before Rosie started laughing somewhere behind him and pulled Rose towards to kitchen.

(OOC: Hola everyone. ^^)

Matthew

Matthew felt the heat vibrate off of his body, sweat poured from his head, drenching his hair and making it stick to his forehead. He breathed in the hot fumes around him as he went on his daily jog. Though to him it was like running in a desert, he hated the feeling of the hot sun beating down on his shoulder. He would be sore tonight that was for sure. He was shirtless of course reveling rather large toned muscles, he wasn't majorly buff but he had his moments of strength. He was the type of guys who is mostly always doing fitness, not necessarily a good thing but he was as healthy as a horse.

Matthew sighed, he turned his last corner with his white sneakers. His light gray shorts absorbed most of the sweat as it continued to run down his chest. The rather large house was in distance and Matthew bunched his muscles and let out a last sprint, opening his legs as he ran like a gazelle. He stopped to catch his breath, leaning up against the side of the house, splashing in the back made Matthew think that someone was in the pool. With a cocky smile he quickly opened the gate to the back and dove into the pool, making a huge splash and most likely splashing everyone around. He let his grin appear on his face as Matthew came back up for air, he floated on his back of a moment glancing over his shoulder as he let a sigh of relief. "Oh man! That feels great!" he said with a shout, he opened his mouth to let some of the water in then he spit it back out in an almost fountain like stance.

Jake
Jake glanced over as Matthew came storming in and jumped in the water with such height. Jake laughed and clapped his hands, "Nice job, I'd give it a 5." he said with a grin. Jake cleared his throat and rolled his eyes as water splashed everywhere, even with the distance it still reached close to Jake's feet. Jake glanced down at the small picture he had began to draw. He wasn't sure exactually what it was, it looked like a small detail paw. Jake tilted his head in wonder as he began to draw somemore.

Jake glanced over at Alice a small smirk covered his face. "Hey! Alice..Coke me will yah?" he said with a cute boyish face.

Cassandra Ann Cardy

Cassandra turned to the last page of her book with a frown, because all that was written on it was 'The End' which meant now she would have to wait for the second book to come out to see what happened. She sighed and stretched out on her bed like a cat would before she jumped up and out of it, heading over to one of the many book shelves that was on her walls. Cass had been hiding away in her room most of the day, reading her books with her music blasting through her ear phones. It wasn't the normal songs people her age listened to, they were songs like Daughter - Still and Bon Iver – Blood Bank, she loved songs like those because of how they sounded, the beat in the back ground and how those people seemed to sing with their heart. Cass put her book back where it belonged, because she had everything perfectly organized, and then she changed into a pair of black shirts and a matching tank top, she knew it was a nice day outside, and nearly everyone would be out by the pool, so she couldn't really hide away in her room like a hermit crab all day.

She grabbed a dark red towel, her very worn down copy of Romeo and Juliet that was the same size as her hand, and headed down stairs, she wasn't planning on swimming, just sitting around and relaxing, maybe getting a new tan since her skin was paler than paper. At the house, sometimes she felt out of place, because everyone else was a wolf and well..she wasn't. Cassandra was under the impression that sometimes was very wrong with her, because it wasn't normal for a human to find a mate in a wolf, but she was content with her life on a level, other than the fact that she was the weakest link in their 'family.'

Cass skipped down the stairs, grinned at a very sun burnt Rosalee that was being helped by a very motherly looking Rosie. It was by far one of the funniest things she had seen in awhile, and wished she could have taken a picture as she passed by and headed out back to the outdoor pool, where nearly everyone was. Cassandra layed out her towel beside the edge of the pool and sat on top of it, stretching out her legs and opening her book to her parked page. She sent a small smile to Matthew as he spit some water out of his mouth and into the pool. "Did you have a nice run?" she asked him with a raised eyebrow. She guessed he had jumped right into the pool after his run, because he still had his sneakers on, and he wasn't wearing swim trunks, just a pair of white shorts.

Carl had a strict belief that there was no obligation on him to be out of bed before he'd heard at least one parents voice. And since that hadn't happened yet, he'd contented himself to lay still with the window open, warm air blowing in around his room. His window overlooked the pool area, so he could heard very clearly that nobody else was much more motivated than himself, at least as far as chores and duties were concerned.

But now the morning was starting to drag. He wondered what his parents were up to anyway. It wasn't like them to stay out of sight for so long on a weekday; presumably allowing people to have a lazy morning was a lesser evil than having everyone grumpy that they were missing out on the first really hot day of the season.

But the presence of so many people in the pool was an exciting prospect, because sooner or later the alphas would rise and want everyone to come on to get on with stuff. And whilse Carl didn't relish all the duties he was asked to take on, he had prepared a little something special for getting everyone out of the pool area.

With a grin he pushed the last few foam darts into the 8th magazine of his new toy, and made his way slowly to the window, listening out to see what was happening. The splashing commotion as Matt crashed into the water was standard fare, so he knew there would be at least a couple of targets; most certainly of all Alice who would be floating around like the Queen of Sheeba.

Biding his time for a few minutes more, he whistled to himself in amusement. This would be fun.

Rosalee slowly turned in the direction of the familiar laugh, careful to avoid quick movements that would trigger her burn to feel even worse - if that was possible. “Apparently my skin is a lot more sun-sensitive than I thought...” She replied to Rosie as she was driven towards a stool. “I couldn’t have been out there longer than an hour...” Her eyes casually glanced at the clock, noticing that it had been a lot longer than an hour that she floated among a raft, dreaming of what she only wished her life could be like.

“Or not...”

“Think anyone owns a full body suit and face mask? I’d really rather not have to sit inside all day until this heals,” she muttered, compressing the tip of her finger onto her glowing forearm, watching as the spot altered to white and then back to red. “Not that spending time inside is a bad thing...” She quickly blurted after realizing that Rosie hadn’t minded spending her time indoors. Rosalee’s shoulders quickly drew in as the chilled cream made contact with her burn. It stung at first, but then was quickly replaced with a cooling relief. Now to face even more ‘tomato’ jokes like Callums, she thought to herself before making her way back outside where she would be forced to lay undercover. She would shower, later.

“Thanks, Rosie!” Rosalee called out loud enough in case the girl had already made it to her room.

Waddling back outside, Rosalee wondered where Lucy and Mason had gone off to. After getting up early enough, she was able to hear the front door slam and one of the cars engines start and then fade down the dirt path.

With Rose all lathered with lotion, Rosie felt happy enough to see her toddle back outside. "No problem!" she called back, her foot having already reached the bottom step. Rosie hadn't really noticed Rose's remark about being indoors, since she knew the others were very outdoorsy people, and she just...wasn't. Rosie was pretty content to sit indoors, as was Cassandra. Though they interests were different, they were both happy enough to spend their time indoors and avoid sunburn. Nevertheless, as Rosie finished laying her new blanket out on the bottom of her already multi-quilted bed, Rosie considered changing and going outside. Soon the day would turn to duties and chores, and Rosie hadn't been outside once yet.

Opting to reverse french plait her hair across the back and over her shoulder, Rosie rummaged through her neat drawers to find a bikini. The bright rainbow striped set was brilliantly eye catching and fitted nicely, without being too slutty. Rosie shimmied into her swim set and then pulled on a white pair of tracksuit shorts. There. Slipping into some flip-flops, Rosie grabbed her towel and padded outside. Sure enough, the pool was bustling with housemates, one having clearly thought himself the 'big man' by jumping in fully clothed. Rosie parked her towel and draped it over a lounger, slid her flip-flops off and wriggled out of her shorts. Then, in her bikini, she swan dived beautifully off of the side of the pool, making a very small, very feminine splash as she entered the shimmering water.

Rosie surfaced near Matthew, pulling her plait over her shoulder. "Shouldn't you at least take your shoes off?"Ro

Matthew grinned over at Cassandra, it was a flirty grin but also a smirk. "Why yes, I did. Thanks for asking. " He said and dramatically/ sarcastically ran a hand back through his once spiked hair. Matthew glanced over at Rosie, "Ah, but having shoes on it the more funner part of swimming...You should try it sometime.." he said with another grin. Matthew turned to Cassandra once again, "Wanna join me?" he said with a grin, he was always like this, flirty and devious. "Or later we could go skinny dipping if you'd like. There's a hot tub for a reason." Matthew said deviously, without waiting for her reply to his earlier question. Matthew didn't really know why but he felt an almost...attraction towards Cassandra and it was funny cause there were a lot of great looking werewolves and yet of all of them it was the human Cassandra. He didn't mind however because she wasn't shallow. He knew as well as she did there was more to her than the eye could see. And for some reason Matthew could see that. Even though she was human he could see she longed for being a werewolf but yet she seemed..happy. Cassandra being human was one of the main reasons for him liking her, because she was different and it reminded him of his once humanity..

Mason and Lucy Elliott

.... "I really don't know how I'd feel about that..." Mason replied to Lucy as he slammed the door to his dirty truck shut.

"Oh, come on, they are old enough to handle themselves, so I don't see why it would be necessary to call Joanne in." Lucy said, mirroring Mason's actions before following close behind him back into the house. An early morning phone call awoke them from their slumbers, forcing them to drive into town for an unscheduled meeting. It wasn't much of a hassle considering it was around when they would usually get up, anyways.

Walking into a silent home wasn't a surprise since the weather was starting to get increasingly better week by week. Slipping into a furious facade, Mason stomped through the house in aim for the back door. Once reached, he slammed it open, immediately crossing his arms and sending the familiar faces a disapproving look.

"I would like to assume that all of your after-training homework is finished, including additional class work?" Mason said to the crowd. As if knowing most of their answers, Mason said, "I do hope your priorities are in the correct place..." Mason's lip twitched, warning that his bubbling laughter would soon burst outwards. Seconds later, his laughter escaped. His previous grim expression turned into a wild smile, and before payback would ensure, Mason left back through the doors, leaving his echoing laughter in his path.

Rosalee Matthews

Rosalee sat their wide-eyed and guilty, staring at the fuming Mason Elliott. Any work that was given the previous days remained untouched. It was rare Rosalee ever saw him so angry, but she could still sense something a little off about this confrontation. Before another thought could be conjured, Mason burst out laughing, and just as quickly, he left. Curious as to where Mason and Lucy had been, Rosalee jumped out of her seated position, and immediately regretted it as her burnt skin stung.

"Pancakes, anyone?" She said, 'running' on her tippy toes back into the house; although if anyone did want pancakes, they were going to have to help. Cooking wasn't exactly her forte.
