Name: Edgar Rathborough.

Age: 18.

Power:

He is very hard to hurt. Allow me to elaborate.

The first basic detail of his dream ability to look at is his stamina. He has a very high endurance, capable of lasting well past the maximum fatigue level that a human can reach. His body can function normally on very little blood and while he can still weaken he will never die of hunger, dehydration or lack of oxygen.

Now here is where it gets weird.

His body hardens in proportion to the damage he's received. A scale of how resilient to damage he becomes in proportion to the damage he takes is as follows:

- After suffering a light injury or multiple light wounds his skin will toughen and his bones will grow denser without increasing in weight.

- After suffering a significant but ultimately nonlethal wound or mildly impairing injury his skin will become as tough as leather while his bones will become as hard as natural stone.

- After suffering a single wound or multiple wounds which would stand a significant chance of being fatal or after losing entire limbs his flesh will become as hard as wood yet still flexible like regular skin, not inhibiting his movement in the slightest while his bones become harder than concrete while still remaining no heavier than ordinary bone.

- After suffering wounds so grave that death would become certain for most regular human beings his flesh, muscle and skin become as hard as stone while his bones become as hard as steel. As mentioned previously the aforementioned improvements do not hinder his movement.

He possesses a regenerative quality that follows a similar escalation to his resilience. Interestingly enough he heals small cuts and injuries slower than regular people while greater wounds heal much faster. Just as his regeneration increases in speed the more injured he is it will also slow down as he heals into a less wounded state. A scale of how fast he heals in proportion to the damage he takes is as follows:

- A tiny cut or a small bruise will take five years to heal completely

- A light injury or wound takes five weeks to heal into the state of being a tiny cut or a small bruise.

- A significant wound or mildly impairing injury takes five days to heal up until the damage becomes a light injury or wound.

- A major wound or lost limb takes five hours to heal up until the damage becomes a significant wound or mildly impairing injury.

- All damage close to and beyond the point of certain death takes five minutes to heal until the damage falls into the upper category of being a major wound or lost limb.

No matter how much he is damaged his body will continue to regenerate. Even if his head is cut off his body will regrow from the decapitated head. If the head is destroyed then the head and the rest of the body will regrow from the largest piece of remaining brain. So long as a single neuron remains he will continue to regenerate until he is whole again.

He can be killed by having his whole brain destroyed by attacks that destroy on a cellular level such as fire or acid. Cold will slow down his regeneration and having his brain become frozen will stop the regeneration altogether. Despite being frozen however he will continue to regenerate upon being unfrozen.

Sin: Sloth.

Physical Appearance:

Quite an unremarkable person to look upon. His tastes in cloth are purposefully bland to dissuade attention, mainly dressing in monochromatic clothing of little note. His hair is black and he has grey eyes. His face is somewhat sharp and his neutral expression is calculating, a resting look of introspection. He is unfortunately hyperopic so he wears prescription glasses.

His form is long and not at all impressive. He tends not to indulge in overly fatty diets so he's quite lean. He doesn't exercise much, typically reserving most of his activity to walking. He is reasonably tall, not a lamp post of a man but by no means short.

Likes:

- Solitude.

- Snow.

- The Macabre.

- Puzzles.

- Rain.

- Spicy Food.

Dislikes:

- Company.

- Everyone he knows.

- Excessive heat.

- Bullies.

- Cheaters.

- Confrontations.

- Seeing people happy.

- Being controlled.

- Himself.

Personality:

His mind is both his sole sanctuary and his greatest enemy.

His imagination is his home, his thoughts the halls he wanders as he ponders all that he experiences. He never acts without first thinking about what he is doing. Given time his genius shines as he can solve most problems posed to him. He is not particularly quick to arrive at a solution however and struggles to hastily come up with answers. His wit is sharp and his timing quite precise but it is all a product of his deeply internal conference.

His emotional callouses are as strong as the depth the wounds they cover run. Years of derision and exclusion have made him bitter and reclusive. He perceives his hatred of society as only appropriate for their treatment of him. Everyone he meets is immediately met with suspicion and contempt. He assumes the worst motives of anyone's actions, a paranoia which he shelters himself with. In his own words "If you assume the worst you can always either be correct or pleasantly surprised."

Naturally he is accustomed to negativity. Other people's joy only serves to outline his misery. Should someone slight him he almost never forgets it and rarely forgives. While he's logical enough to be pragmatic he can hold a grudge that is so long lived it could follow him to his grave.

He is not without sympathy however. Those wrapped in misery and those who suffer unfairly strike a metaphorical cord in him which resonates with his own experiences. While they might not always appreciate his company or even like him he's hard pressed to ever truly hate someone who acts out of despair.

Of course, he's never truly free of her influences on his life.

Backstory:

His life wasn't always akin to death in an iron maiden. Back in his early childhood life still had a rich lustre to it. Then came school. Then came his sister's birth. It didn't take long until humanity started plucking away at him bit by agonizing bit. His sister was a devil in human skin, never ceasing to torment him. No matter how cruel she treated him there was nary a single pang of pity in her heart, not for him.

His parents never so much as raised a finger against her as she was their favorite. They looked down upon Edgar as he was shy and awkward at school. They wanted to show their love to someone they believed would be outgoing and successful, neither of which they believed Edgar would ever be. For him school was a nightmare but home was even worse. There was no respite.

Many years of this continued until he was roughly eighteen. That was when... It happened. The event transpired and he continued life as usual. His parents hated him but he was safe from any true ramifications. Eventually of course he ran into the cavern. Upon seeing it he ventured inside, only his heart knowing the reason why. Down the spiral staircase he fell and when he woke up the real story began.

So begins...
