P E R S O N A L I T Y

His heart may not be one of gold, but he certainly cares about everyone he comes in contact with, especially after his own kind tried to have him killed. After they tried killing him he formed a new understanding of caring for those around him. He'd go out of his way to make sure someone has what they need and what they want, he wants to bring a smile to someones face as much as he can. Though he wants to make someone happy he probably wouldn't want to put his own happiness at risk. Legacy wants others happy, but he certainly wants himself happy too. For the most part giving others joy fills him with joy as well.

Though he was sent to his death he still manages to see the brightest side of things. To him the day he stops looking for the best in things is the day he ultimately dies. Optimist is a driving force behind him, pushing him to always fight for the best outcome. No matter the situation he'll always see the best of it, no matter how hard it gets he'll always see the best. Even when he thought he might die he still had hope of living.

Curiosity luckily didn't kill this catfish. When it comes to being curious he can be compared to Ariel, the little mermaid. When he was younger he was constantly exploring wrecked ships, it's crazy how many jewels he's collected over the years. Legacy has found himself in some trouble from time to time with all the exploring he does, from being attacked by unpleasant sharks to beaten with sticks by undressed maidens. Regardless the amount of mischief he can get himself caught in he never backs down. He's always willing to push himself into dangerous situations; for he's a little reckless. Legacy's always up for a challenge, no matter how big or small. He simply wants to conquer it all.

A downside about him is that he's slightly self-centered. By far he's over confident, thinking he can do anything and everything. He never puts limits up for himself, he simply thinks he can do it all. From time to time he wants everything to be about him, though this is just a sometimes thing. With this being said whenever he sees a mirror he always makes sure to admire himself; if there's a reflective surface he's probably checking himself out in it.

H I S T O R Y

Age Ten
A deep breath filled his lungs as he swam through the remains of a wrecked ship. This was a normal thing for him, exploring the innards of a wooden dead vessel. He always kept himself entertained this way, for he never wanted a dull moment. As he searched throughout the ship he founded jewelry, gobs and gobs of it. From sapphire necklaces to emerald rings; he was simply mesmerized by the shiny gems. At this young age is when his heart started lusting after the gaudy things.

Age Twenty-Five
With age his curiosity began to grow the best of him. Since he was in fact a very young merman he wasn't suppose to venture to the surface alone, from risk of being seen by humans. Their was a law in the kingdom he was from, not to do so, yet he did anyways. Though he lived at sea there was land about a thirty minute swim away. Everyday he would take that swim and hide behind rocks to make sure to stay out of sight. The men he would see would always be dressed in what appeared to be fancy clothes, their laughs were always drunk, and the women on their arms were beautifully crafted. All of that lead him to believe they were men of wealth. Each day he'd watch some of these men set sail in big ships, luxuries ships he dreamed of riding himself. Yet, one day when he went to visit he was careless. It was a dark morning, the sun hadn't risen, so instead of hiding behind the rocks like normal he perched himself atop of one, just waiting to see someone. It was a small young girl with hair as red as fire. She was in the water blew the rocks, she had to have swam over to him without him even noticing. "What are you?" He watched he in owe and in shock, for he had never spoken to a human before and had no clue what to say. "You're a mermaid aren't you?" Her voice was high, loud, and excited. From panic he covered her mouth with his hand, causing him to fumble into the water with a loud splash. This of course panicked the girl, causing her to flail and toss around beneath him. "I'm Legacy, please stay calm." Speaking quietly with a whisper he hoped it would calm her down, and luckily it did. The little girl smiled, "I'm Lady Aoife."

Age Forty
As years passed Aoife and Legacy grew a close bond. Everyday for fifteen years he would go visit her, he even began taking a human form just to partake in what her land had to offer. She knew of his curiosity, so of course she'd take him to places to explore, such as ruins and ancient caves on her families side of Ireland. Their closes led the eye of the father to fall upon him. He was a Lord, well known and quite powerful, and with his power came money and with his money came ships. Legacy would tell the Lord about his journeys far and wide throughout the ocean, and this impressed the Lord. Before long would help navigate the Lord's ships, and before long he became the captain over one. The adventures he had upon the ships is something he'd never forget. From fights with pirates, to visiting new lands; those were the highest points of his life.

Age Fifty
With time passing Legacy's ventures to visit Aoife and set sail did too. The ruler of the kingdom he was from discovered his actions, and wasn't too amused. Legacy had been ordered to stop visiting the human world; of course he didn't. Though he went less often he couldn't completely cut ties. He loved everything the human world had to offer as well as the humans he had met, in fact Aoife, now the age of twenty, held Legacy's heart in his hand. Within Legacy's year of being fifty the two had married on the beach, and little did Legacy know that also on that day did the ruler send someone out to follow him. It didn't take long for news to reach back to the king, greatly infuriated he sent guards to bring Legacy back to him at once. After being brought back the king order Legacy to travel north to retrieve something for him, Fragarach, a magically and mythical sword that could cut through anything. The king agreed that if Legacy could return the sword to him he could freely do whatever he wished in the human world. Legacy was no fool, he knew swimming north would be dangerous and the likely hood of him surviving would be unlikely. The storms were bad, the waters were cold, and the monsters that lurked were the most dangerous creatures of all. Legacy knew he would most likely die, but he also knew trying to sneak back to his wife would be hard and he could easily be captured. "I accept."

Age One-Hundred And Twenty
Ten guards had been sent to make sure Legacy completed his mission, yet Legacy was the only one that had survived. The others had either killed themselves by going mad, died from the cold, or eaten. Seventy years of Legacy's life had been dedicated to find a sword that didn't exist, his time wasted, and his wife dead. Finally giving up he returned to his home, other merfolks claimed him to be a traitor as well as a murderer. No one cared about how he had lost years of his life to attempt being with the woman he loved, all they saw him as was a merman wishing to be human. Being completely rejected he fled from his home at sea and began exploring the human world for a new home.

Age Two-Hundred And Five
Years and years of searching left him no where, until one day he stumbled upon a little town of Rover. Here he finally made himself a home, happy and content.
