The Bridge of the Deliverance

Cap finished his dispatch from the intercom indicating that everyone should report to the bridge. He then looked back at Jaron and said, "You know, I've got a real good feeling about all this. Even though we've encounter some difficulties just getting started, I really think we're headed somewhere with all this."

His mind wandered to slightly more pointless things....like whether or not the airlock disposal operator had made it aboard in time.

Frank exited the shuttle just as he heard the order. 'damn it all' he thought as he took his stuff out of the shuttle. Always people would have him work extra or do everything at once. Well at least he could be briefed about everything as he met the captain at once. Maybe this captain would realize his potential as well, although he had no high hopes of anything like that happening, the last few ships were no friendly either.

He started for the bridge while trying to get familiar with the place at the same time, and when he finally arrived there was already some people on the spot, so he just snuck in among the crowd of people. He wished no more than to get these first few days done with, so he could start his routine and relax a little again.

Frank half turned towards Tienette on place "You?" he asked kind of stunned. He had met this woman once a long time ago on another ship. He looked around and shot the woman looking at him a slight nod and smile. Then he turned again and reached a hand out to Tienette, "I mean, hello. Long time" he said as politely as his tired mind let him. He looked her up and down for a second, "So then, finally a drill officer?" he asked jokingly.

Julian smiled about at those who had arrived, raising a brow at the sight of Frank. He noted Tyriel's positive behavior towards Jaron and smiled tipped his hat in Andreah's direction, taking into account that Doctor Coles had indeed finished treating her. He only expected two more to arrive before departure: his eyes seemed to thin as he went over the prospect of arriving at the new planet. Hopefully an anomoly would be detected at the very first one. Hell, hopefully the Anathians would be right there, smack dab where they were needed. But as of right now that was highly unlikely.

Interception from the Jecktar Congregate would be a more apt situation than the former.

"I think so too, Cap. We've got ourselves a great team and a great leader," he said with a smile. He stood as the others entered the bridge and did his best to appear capable, competent, worthy of his role, older. Many of these people had far many more years of experience in their respective positions, but he was a novice, an accomplished one but he was no stranger to people questioning his abilities based on his age alone.

He nodded at Tyriel, "Thank you, I saw that you already were fixing the Warp Core. How does the work?" He knew that the sensitive pieces of machinery that made interstellar travel possible were a nightmare to repair, but if Cap hired these engineers, he trusted they could have it working well in no time. Little did he know, of course that it was already handled and operating at full capacity.

Frank shifted slightly on the spot, somewhat uncomfortably "I just joined up with the ship, as we were called here" He said, trying to avoid the issue, not that he was ashamed of his job, but he didn't care to broadcast his under utilization. "How long have you been stationed here? I barely know what's going on" he tried to hold his attention forward as he spoke, but his gaze shifted towards Tienette now and then, noting the changes since last time.

Tienette's face changed into a slight smile, Frank had this "flattering creepiness" to him "I've been up here and about some months now..." she got a malicious shine to her eyes "You didn't say what you do around here?" she hoped to put him on his spot. The last time they'd met, Frank had been happy to test coffee and complain that she was doing her job properly and rolling his eyes. She though he had some janitorial value of sorts, but hadn't really cared to ask... He hadn't completely won her disgust and hate though, he knew the lyrics to "I hate everything about you" and he was just as indifferent to things as her, making him a little less annoying than other coworkers on the same ship.

Leaning a bit closer to Tienette, Frank lowered his voice as to not interrupt the important talk. "Well I haven't really gone through the briefing for staring up yet so the exact details are not settled. But it looks like I'll be starting up working with the airlocks in the trash compartments." He said with a hushed voice. He showed no shame anymore, to begin with he had been feeling ashamed with the downgrades people flung at him now and again, but some time it stopped affecting him in that way. He looked about to take in the feel of the people around him. Not exactly the brightest bunch, but he didn't feel like competing with them, they seemed to behave professionally, so could he.

Douglas was worried Jane was going to end up spending an eternity sorting everything out in her room, but fortunately his worry was pointless, Jane didn't even spend a minute in there. While waiting, he leaned against a wall and studied his artificial arm, examining every little nook and cranny that something could be shoved into and used to break his arm. He would need to make sure his arm was covered, his sleeves only concealed the weak spots, what if one of these Anathians turned hostile and found a joint by chance? He was worrying too much, he needed more sleep and less work.

"Are you ready for all of this?"
"The sooner we can find a conclusion, the better." Douglas replied, "I just want Earth to be like it was when I was little."
With that, he followed Jane to the bridge.

Upon arriving at the Bridge, Douglas realised he and Jane were the last ones there. Being late was certainly a novelty for him.
"Sorry for being so late." Douglas apologised as he saluted the Captain, "I hope I haven't delayed anything."
Looking around the room, Douglas saw a couple of faces he didn't know. There was a short young man with, long, straggly, black hair and a woman about the same age with blonde hair that was so unkempt it almost looked like a haystack. He'd have to get acquainted with the rest of the crew soon, he'd only talked to Jane, Jaron and Cap so far.

Frank looked to the two newcomers when Tienette snickered. He couldn't care less what she thought. The newcomers saluted the captain, and for a second he wondered if he should have done it as well, but he didn't care to get up there and present himself for a pointless ritual. At least he could say that he had not been told to do so. He turned a curious eye to Tienette when she messed with her hair, then he smiled and looked at the guy with the weird arm and back at her. "know him?" he wispered
