Theme Song - Dust Bowl Dance
Basics
âDon't ask the writing desk question.â
Name
Raven Blanc. His parents chose the name because his hair was black like a raven's. That didn't get him anywhere when his hair went white, so he changed his last name (since it used to be 'Noir', since his parents are, in his words, "the most moronic morons to have even inhabited this moronic planet full of moronic morons.")
Nickname(s)
Some people just call him Blanc. A nickname of his would be "Headphones", which is what his dad used to call him due to his headphones which never leave his neck. But nope, no one calls him that anymore.

Hair
Well, it used to be black, but now it's gone a silvery white colour. Generally, he just lets it go however it wants to go, which is usually covering his right eye partially and messy all around. He usually uses his headphones to try and keep the waves tame, hence why he never wears earphones. Raven personally likes his hair since it's interesting, but white is such a bland colour that people seem to be weirded out by it.
Eyes
Ice blue.
Skin
Pale. Well, he's mostly a NEET when not in his fantasy world, so that may explain the skin colour.
Markings
Well, nothing too interesting. Raven kept his appearance exactly the same in his fantasy world. But he does have a long scar on the back of his neck. He doesn't bother to cover it up, but doesn't like it when people mention it.
Build
Raven's... Lithe. But there's no way he's not strong. He actually has a rather
Clothes
Casual might as well be his middle name. He'd wear casual clothing to prom, or even if he has to meet the President. Not that the world has a president anymore or anything.
Accessories
He always has some sort of headphones around his neck or head and never leaves the house without them.
Weapons
He has a small Swiss Army knife for crazy emergencies. It's never been used.
Skills
âOh crap. I literally have no skills. None. Go away.â

â„ Vivid imagination.
â„ Eidetic memory.
â„ Maths genius.
Learned Skills
â„ Fighting.
â„ Tech whiz, kinda.
â„ How to look cute when he really, really needs to. It helps.
Weaknesses
â Socially awkward.
â Doesn't understand flirting, and when he does, well, he gets really red and embarrassed.
â Daydreamer.
Mentality
âAre you asking for a punch in the face? Because you're going down the right bloody path.â
Quirks
He tends to drift off into La-La-Land, even if he's in the middle of speaking. He also gets very rude when he feels awkward, which is a lot of the time.

Fears
⣠Arachnophobia - Phobia of spiders Just a general fear of spiders, nothing special.
⣠Agateophobia- Fear of insanity Since often loosing control, he has a fear of going insane.
⣠Trypanophobia- Fear of injections The doctor when he was younger told him to put his hand out for something nice, and he got an injection in the hand. He howled and vowed never to have an injection again.
â Iatrophobia- Fear of going to the doctor or of doctors Again, most of the doctors in his life were strange, especially his parents.
â Koniophobia- Fear of dust Raven's sister once got a really bad asthma attack in the dusty attic, so that freaked him out about dust. And it's just so. . . . dusty
â Kakorrhaphiophobia- Fear of failure Growing up in a family where he was taught failure was wrong, he fears failure, or more precisely, being hated by his own family.
Personality
Raven is a rather... interesting person. He's a child prodigy. In no way does that make him a fully pledged genius yet, even if his IQ does qualify. This used to annoy him a great deal, but he's given up on caring much about things. Now he just seems relaxed and laidback, a smirk almost constantly on his face. He seems like a rather chilled out person, and does not really seem like he has too much in his noggin. He's got the cute look going on and he knows how to use it to his advantage. But no, then Raven starts talking. And he's a hell of a genius. He knows enough to fill libraries and considers no knowledge useless.
But to get to the child-prodigy-could-be-genius level, you have to break past the many barriers of crazy childishness. Let's start from the top. He gets jealous easily. If he sees someone hanging out with a person whom he considered a friend, then he gets incredibly moody with both people, though he then realises he's acting stupid and might as well just try and become friends with both people.
Secondly, he hates interacting with people out of nowhere. Raven finds small talk crazily annoying and gets easily angered if people purposely try and get him involved in their petty little remarks at the weather. Seriously, introduce yourself with small talk and Raven will have a hard time trying not to hate you. Another thing is his inner monologue.
Oh, the inner monologue.
He may seem stoic and pretty clueless on the outside, but his inner monologue says much more. Snarky and snappy, he remarks on people's actions and words in such a sarcastic way that, if said out loud, he would probably be hated. However, he has the ability to keep these things quiet and to himself so he doesn't look like as much of a jerk. However, his running commentary of thoughts can work in the opposite direction. He can be incredibly nice and complimentary, or amazed, but Raven finds it embarrassing to say such things aloud.
Due to his social awkwardness making it impossible for him to fit in with other people his age, he became kind of... grumpy. When embarrassed with himself, he'll often tell people to "go away" or to leave him alone. He gets upset and pouty if people don't listen and they decide to stay. However, bitchy as he is, you could not get anyone more innocent.
Years of staying inside have obviously affected him and he hasn't been near the bad side of the internet. Make a flirty joke towards Raven and it will fly over his head like a writing desk. Seriously, there's obnoxious and then there's oblivious, and on the top of the little list, there's just Raven. It's crazy. Innuendo just makes him tilt his head in confusion and he'll try and work it out. It may take some explaining.
But then he understands and BAM! You've arrived at the Cute Station. Please don't leave behind any important items, like your heart and soul. Seriously, he'll go a bright colour of red and his eyes go all sparkly. Then, he'll start shifting awkwardly and fiddling with his hair childishly, pouting a bit. He certainly doesn't like it when people tease him, but making a flirty joke is a whole new level of Nope.
Since we're at the Cute Station (*applause*), let's stay here for a while before we go back to Raven's faults. The thing is, there's morning Raven, then there's night Raven. The difference is how sleepy he is. Morning Raven isn't that great a guy. He complains and snarls and grumbles; he sometimes even hisses like an angry cat. Then, there's just normal Raven. This is when he's properly woken up and acts just like usual. And then there's night Raven. Now, it's weird to see such an unemotional person act so... emotional. He acts slightly more peppy than usual, effectively getting rid of all his leftover energy. He tends to like people a whole lot more and becomes a lot more... cuddly. Seriously, he's like a cat. He loves being patted on the head at this point and climbs all over people, if he feels he knows them well enough.
But he can also lose the plot. By that, I mean the Raven so far has been pretty... Placid. But there's a point of annoyance where something in his mind will snap and he'll just lost his marbles. His eyes will seem to gleam an unnatural amount and he'll throw his arms around while shouting and pointing at people. I'm not going to describe this phase too much, I'm going to leave it as a partial surprise. One thing to be said though; the change in aura is instantly noticed every time.
Personal Life
âAnd then, Raven had to talk about life. But instead, he crept into a corner. Seriously. Leave me alone.â
Significant Relationships
Family
Eleanor Noir ~ MOTHER ~ Deceased ~ "Mami"
Raven always considered his mother the most beautiful woman he could think of. She had childish, boyish looks and she seems to never grow older even though his father obviously did. She always imagined her own worlds when they were on Earth and she told Raven sweet bedtime stories. Eleanor always drew. All the time. They had whole bookcases of the worlds she imagined going to and when they decided where to go to, they spent a few days deciding since all her drawings were so beautiful. She acted like a young girl and she and Jean were so crazily in love that she often said she'd either die for him or with him. It was just a shame that she were right.
Jean-Pierre Noir ~ FATHER ~ Deceased ~ "Papi"
Jean-Pierre was the complete opposite of Eleanor's kind personality. It's not that he wasn't nice, he was just more serious that Eleanor. He met Eleanor when they were teenagers and he secretly tells Raven he loves his family more than he loves anything else. He may seem as stoic as Raven, but he is much more accustomed to showing signs of love to his family. He was excited for both his children and treated both of them like treasures he'd found deep in the sea.
Alouette Noir ~ SISTER ~ Deceased ~ "Ette"
Alouette was a brilliant girl. She was kind and open, motherly. She and Raven had a usual sibling relationship; they argued when they're parent's were there but were the best of friends when left alone. But she started to change more and more when they escaped to his mother's land, until she transferred onto the evil side. It was this which led her to her death.
History
Raven was born into a normal, caring family. They loved him greatly as well as his older sister, Alouette. It was already a fairy-book story, but the area where he lived was particularly hit by pollution. The Earth was wasting away around their very house. The garden his mother had once worked on so hard was nothing but a simple memory in the mind of a child and a picture in a book. Plants were dying around where they lived and quickly. Raven's hair was originally black like his father's, but for an unknown reason, it was dyed white when he was four. They thought it was most likely the pollution.
It was Raven, child-genius, who came up with the idea. It was strange for him to be so creative, but he'd just thought of it during his supper. He told his parents as they sat on the couch, his sister on the phone to one of her oh-so-important friends. Raven had reached for one of his mother's sketchbooks and showed a world of giant plants and flowers and of talking animals. A world of fairies and hope, elves and freedom. A witch lurked in the background. He told them it would be a great idea if they could put together his mother's worlds and go to a big mashup of them all.
For the next few days, the derelict garden was a mess. All the drawings had been cut out and stuck together in a big mash up of a world. Even some childhood pictures by Ette and Raven were included. It was all they'd ever wanted without even knowing they wanted it.
But they forgot all about the witch in the background.
They arrived in their own world and soon found out about the witches. Eleanor didn't mind. "We can defeat them." she had said in her calm, soothing voice. "What would be the point in a world without adventure and hardships?" Her bright eyes and fragile voice had assured the family and they lived in a house they had wanted, they had invented. But it was just a drawing, and drawings can be ripped apart as easily as families. Ette had secretly been sneaking off with witches, talking to them and taking in their power, their evil. She became more and more... poisoned. Raven saw it first, then his mother and then Jean-Pierre. She soon left her family and began destroying the world as the new leader of witches. She destroyed his house without knowing their parents were inside.
Raven did only what he could do. He searched out the best witch, a good witch, and learnt all her white magic. He approached his sister and always took care never to hurt her. This only infuriated her, making her lash out and attack Raven, hurting him more and more every time. He knew, inside, it was just physical but the pain and betrayal started affecting him mentally and he started building defenses against people he didn't know, becoming mistrusting and angry. He had to take a year to train his calm so he could continue using white magic.
He met up with Ette again. She had completely gone off the rails, and he reached out to caress her cheek. In that moment, she exploded into a burst of light. It turned out the good witches and wizards had been plotting against her and hadn't told him. The shock made him pass out, and when he woke up, his rage cause him to destroy the world in a fit of anger. When he exited the world, it wasn't a world anymore. It was just ripped drawing lying on the floor, except pictures of his family had been added.
There was nothing left for him to do. He had to go to a world quickly before the shadows got him, so he traveled between worlds, always easily bored of what he found.
âSo, did you like my never-ending daydream? It was a delight, but I had to leave. It's just sad I was the only one who could escape. Stories can be so captivating.â
