PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Short but fierce -- Uma stands just over five feet and perhaps doesn't possess the most womanly body on the planet. Where the Goddess Parvati (which is where her Sanskrit derives from) was moulded by the Gods themselves into the embodiment of femininity with her soft curves accentuated by the full beaded skirts she wore, Uma is all bones and muscle. Her hip bones are sharp enough to stab a man as viciously as the sword hanging from it and the coils of muscles unbecoming on a woman weave into her short limbs. She manages to avoid being gawky despite her slim, boyish frame through sheer will, of which she wields in abundance.
Being a terrifying combination of a constant stream of motion and utter oblivion, she'll often trip over herself or just hurt herself whilst fooling around with her earth bending skills or wielding a weapon. This results in plenty of scratches and scars which people would often gasp at when in the presence of the younger princess. Many have sported bruises and grasped at falling vases in the presence of Uma, who seems to take every opportunity to destroy everything in her path with a playful smirk tainting her rose-coloured lips.
Her skin is unblemished but too sun-darkened or sun-burnt to be lovely, her collarbones too sharp to be delicately refined and her heart-shaped face too scrunched in concentration to be appreciated wholeheartedly. QUIRKS: The Princess of the Earth Kingdom bears startling resemblance to the wild animals that roam the mostly uninhabitable wastes of the outskirts. She is quick to attack and will undoubtedly retaliate tenfold when she or others in her care are provoked or harmed, for the most part disregarding consequences. Her tendency to live in the moment and to stab first, think later - even if she is stabbing in the dark - has burdened her "future self" with insurmountable messes to resolve. Her belief that any and all consequences should be dealt by "future Uma" transcends mere recklessness and impulsivity, impeding upon her ability to prioritise and tell time. Her ladies in waiting as well as her personal guardsmen are constantly frazzled and exhausted from shuffling the apathetic but immovable princess from one "bleh, responsibility" to another.
Uma has no love for the frivolity of royal court, her disdain fuelled by her aversion to the "instrument of torture" that is the corset and any garment possessing more than a small, minuscule, insubstantial slither of lace. Diamond chokers and pearl necklaces are "chains that bind my mortal flesh to suffering and malady," where her favourite accessory comes in leather, straps to her belt and houses a sword. She has used many of her lavish gems to feed and better the lives of the citizens outside the castle walls.
She has built up some walls around herself as well. Though she'll never admit it, she is a bundle of anxiety and fears. Uma sleeps with the candle burning every night, if she sleeps at all. She is strangely not afraid of the dark when she is outdoors, but only when she is in an enclosed space. She is constantly worrying about the Fire Nation and what the fate of the kingdom is -- And what would happen if her father is overruled by their greatest enemy.
SKILL AND ABILITIES: Being ambidextrous, Uma is able to hold two weapons simultaneously with ease, which comes in handy since she is proficient in most weapons whenever she isn't using her skills to earth/metal bend. Her skills to manipulate earth comes from being spirit-blessed and born into a long family tree of earth benders. She trains herself almost everyday to better strengthen her abilities and often finds herself accepting the help from fellow earth benders and trainers. It is perhaps the only thing she appreciates from the royal court. The teachings of earth bending and even metal bending has been bestowed upon her ever since she was a child. She is determined to learn everything in the book -- But she'll have to stride a long way before that happens.
Perhaps more a weakness than a strength with her tendency to bump into things, Uma also rarely notices her the injuries she inflicts upon other living things as well as inanimate objects by recklessly flinging her limbs about (or perhaps it's a skill. It may sometimes come in handy.) Having the temperament and mannerisms of a wild animal comes at a benefit to her ability to interact with and tame others of her nature. She is beloved by all animals, possessing a natural instinct and understanding of their desires and wellbeing.

She is the youngest and last born spirit-blessed child to the couple; The lowest ranked on the to-be-crowned royalty scale. Thankfully, her father continued to rule as King over one of the last known kingdoms not yet ruled over and destroyed by the Fire Nation.
A childhood spent not as a princess but as a beggar and a thief, however, was not so easily undone. She possessed none of the gentle mannerisms or feminine qualities demanded of a princess, or even an average female. She was quick to anger and constantly picked fights with boys, girls, carers, strangers, even her own family members. The only creatures who seemed to be capable of placating her fire were beasts themselves. Animals adored her, unlike her governess, whose colour fled from her hair within weeks of meeting the princess The lowly servants, however, praised Uma's kindness and sensitivity towards them. She would often attempt to aid her servants in performing menial tasks, like washing the dishes or making her bed. This was initially met with the horror of her ladies-in-waiting and her father, but they soon relinquished control over the princess in this area. There were many more wars she insisted fighting, and her desire to help the scullery maid was not a particularly pressing issue. After all, the civilians seemed to hail their Princess as being gentle, selfless and caring, three traits even Uma herself would not claim to possess.
As she grew up into her teen years, she was determined to better the land. it was always insisted that girls did not fight, could not fight, and had no reason to. Thus she turned to the next best alternative, the scowling faces of the earthbenders who'd soon train her to let her own abilities peek. She was modestly elated when they agreed to teach her but would soon realise they did it perhaps more for their own entertainment than Uma's wellbeing, for their method of "teaching" was to beat her senseless.
Training with hailed fighters, however, had its benefits, and she proved herself worthy at the age of 16, when she disarmed The Captain of the Guard with the earth abilties she possessed and poised her blade at his throat. Still the King refused to allow her to go into war, asserting that "the battlefield has no place for women." She has since coerced, blackmailed and bribed many more fighters to share with her their expertise.
She has since found refuge and solitude in the tunnels underground; Following her fellow fighters who wish to stand together to bring Ba Sing Se to safety and fight against whoever disagrees with so. Two women from the opposing sides have held an undisclosed friendship ever since they were both children. Believing they both have what it takes to prove themselves more than just two soon-to-be brides married off with a dowry, they secretly set out to work together in becoming a shogun. One, the daughter of the austere samurai who have a stern belief in their daughters being nothing more then another wife. And the other, a daughter of the ever-so disobedient shinobi clan who wish to be the first clan to give a woman a higher role in their society.
The two girls set out on their journey into the green country outside the village walls, bordered by forests and hills to search for a master to train them both. Little do they know that the forest contains creatures hidden in the trees, peering at them with glowing eyes and rumbling stomachs. Yokai feed off of human souls, and that's what two Kitsune brothers set out to do as soon as they spot the two wandering girls as their prey. They agree to help both the girls on their journey, secretly entering a ruthless competition of kill the women or be killed by lasting hunger. Oblivious to who these two strange boys really are, the two women continue on their venture without knowledge of what's behind closed doors.
