It was a day like any other. Kirito was sitting in the Library enjoying his solace from the government offical who was in charge of observing him, and doing his Advanced Literature homework. This week was particularly challanging for him. They had to do a research project on 'Love'. He understood what it was, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't justify how or why it existed. After much thought on the matter he decided the book he should research for the project would be "The Notebook" he remembered hearing from someone that it showed the difficulties that people in love would at times have to work through.
He eventuily found the book and settled down at table to start reading. As he read he noticed that there was a girl buzzing around the area where he'd collected his book from. 'This is the only book missing from that section... could it be possible she want's to use this same book for a project?' Kirito shook his head returning to his reading only to again have his attention pulled to the girl who was pusshing books out of the way to see if it had fallen behind the shelf. With a deep sigh Kirito marked his page and tucked the book into his suit pocket and walked over to the girl. "Are you looking for something?" The girl nodded quickly explaining that she was looking for "The Notebook" for a project. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the book. "You mean this? I'm doing a project on it as well... If you'd like we could share the book since the Library only seems to have one copy. After a moment's hesitation the girl agreed and they headed over to sit and read.
They continued to meet up in the Library on almost a daily basis. At first it was just coincidence, but it had quickly become Kirito's favorite part of the day. After a week of meeting up the pair sat down and actually talked. Kirito found out her name was Ella. He quickly matched her in sharing his name. Kirito felt strangly trusting of Ella and after looking around them quickly he leaned in close to her whispering quietly. "I'm not normal. I have a power..." She didn't seam surprised. Infact she wasn't surprised at all because right as Kirito finish telling her she laughed and told him that she too had powers. "Really? What are they? If you don't mind my asking that is... If you don't wanna tell me about them that's fine." After a few minutes she'd described her powers as best as she could. Kirito nodded. 'If she told me it's only fair that I tell her...' He took a breath and started explaining his ability of transmutation, even going into how he'd caused the huge explosion in the alley way 3 years back earning him a 9.5 danger level.
The pair continued meeting eachother in the Library every day. Sometimes they'd talk other times they'd just enjoy the company of another person, something that seemed to be quite rare at the time. One day when they met up Ella told Kirito about something quite interesting. A group of students was meeting up to discuss the 'Love' thing. Kirito looked at her and could tell she wanted to go but was holding back. "Ella would you like me to come to this meeting with you?"
d a n g e r l e v e l . . .(1-10) The government has Kirito ranked 9.5 due to the destructive natures of his power though if you ask Kirito himself he'll tell you that a 2-4 would be much more accurate as he doesn't like the destruction brought on by the unrestricted use of his ability.

History~
b i o . . . Kirito had a rather normal childhood. He was born and sent the the Infant Care Center once he was old enough he was sent the the Governmental Grade School followed shortly by the High School. While there was nothing about him that really showed to be out of the ordinary he had a secret. While it was commonly accepted that all of the children of the era were born in labs Kirito knew that he had been born in the old way. He had been born to a father and mother that were likely long dead. The only reason he knew that he had been born this way is because of the pendant that had been given to him by a Government Official that handed it to him saying. "Your mother asked me to pass this onto you when you were old enough. I don't know what it is so don't ask. This is your only warning if anyone in the government learns that you have that you will disappear... Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about you know about the disappearances. All I can say is keep training and learn everything you can." With that the woman turned on her heel and left with not so much as a glance back towards Kirito who stood there with the pendant resting in his hand staring at it. "What is this? Why is it here? What does it mean?" These are the questions he asked himself as he started at the pendant being given to him from his long dead parents. These questions grew inside of him becoming his way of life. If he couldn't understand it or justify it's existence then it didn't exist.
Through his years of schooling he found that he like many of the other students had a special ability. He was able to change matter on the atomic level. Transmutation, he was told was the name of the ability. By understanding everything about something he was able to change it into something better suited to his needs. While practicing one day he decided to try something a bit different than what he usually practiced he was going to transmute the air. As he focused and pressed his hands together he felt the change in the air the fluf components of the air changing increasing the Oxygen levels around himself. He released the energy removing his hands from the circle he'd drawn to focus the ability. With the success of his experiment he began working on perfecting the manipulation of the air composition. After a month of practice he was able to manipulate the air's composition within a 30' radius of himself flawlessly. During one of his training sessions something unexpected happened while he was playing with the oxygen concentration in one area of the circle he created a tunnel connecting himself to the pocket of concentrated oxygen as he stood a spark of static arced across his jacket causing an arc of fire to cross through the tunnel into the oxygen enriched air creating an explosion. Once the Government Officials had finished cleaning up his mess as they called it he was given a piece of paper that informed him his danger level was being raised from 4 to a 9.5 which meant he was going to be put under strict supervision. As he continued learning he learned that the seals needed to be present for his ability to work so he decided to have the two he used most commonly tattooed onto his arms. Though it made the casting slightly odd it made the process much faster than having to draw the symbols each time he needed to use his abilities.
As time continued forward Kirito wanted to stop training his ability because of the raw destructive power of it, but the officials watching him wouldn't let him stop his training. After years of behaving and bowing to the Government's wishes Kirito was given some freedom from his constant observation. As long as he was in the dorm he was left alone though he was strictly forbidden from leaving the School Grounds. While he was studying the books given to him referring to the Love that people used to share he started thinking. The questions that had shaped his life couldn't answer or justify Love but it obviously existed. He needed to learn more about it. When he heard about the group of students that were going to be meeting to discuss the 'Love" that was confusing him so much.
