She didn't dare get up. She remained still, confued and scared.
"What a strange dream..." The black hair teenager thought out loud as he slowly sits up from his laying down position.
"That feeling is too real this time, like... I was really got tear apart. Unggh..." He shivers a little as he recall that feeling.
After a while, he started to notice the difference of his surroundings.
"...When did it get so dark here? I though it was noon? "
"Wait... I thought I was on the bus? Was I sleep walking or the driver smuggle me?" He started to panic and try to find a reason for this to be happening.
"M-Maybe I am still dreaming... Ya, that must be it." Reaching a conclusion for what happened to him, he decided to enjoy what is happening to him like usual in his dreams. Strangely, under that mind set his behavior start to act more calmly.
He shift his post into a more relaxing position and started to think and scan his surrounds more thoroughly. Unexpectedly, he found a girl wearing the uniform from his school laying down near him.
"Oi...! Oi! Are you okay?" He hasty get up and approach towards the girl.
It was dark but it was not dark enough to see that the boy was naked. Then, suddenly he started talking to himself and when he saw her, Carrie rolled to the side, such that her back was faced at him, pulled her knees up tightly against her and hid her scarlett face in her small hands.
"Oi...! Oi! Are you okay?"
Carrie heard his voice behind her and she yelped loudly, still hiding her face.
"What? Did I got morphed into a monster or something?" It isn't the first time he had dream about having turn into a hideous monster. He wonder about that as he start checking on himself for any unusual parts like horns or tentacles.
Arm...Check! No sign of claws or talons. Would be cool though.
Head...Check! Nope. No horns or something sticking in the head.
Legs...Check! No sign of animal feet or beast-like fur. Though I am missing my shoes...
Body...Check! There's flesh there and no scales covered over them... Hmm...
Lower part...Check! Yup, still normal... Bro still there at his usual place...
...
...Wait a second here...
Realization in 3... 2... 1...
"I AM NAKED!! AHHH!!!! WHERE THE HECK ARE MY CLOTHES!!!!" A voice that was strong enough to rattle the cave boom across the small cave.
"No, you're not wearing any pants!" Carrie shouted in her head, and at the thought of that, her hands pressed harder around her face, the redness of her cheeks now expanded to the ears.
Then, there was a brief silence as she cringe quietly, trying to get the very much disgusting picture out of her head. But the silence was disrupted as the boy realizes his state of nakedness.
"I AM NAKED!! AHHH!!!! WHERE THE HECK ARE MY CLOTHES!!!!"
The boy's shout boomed through the dark place and she was forced to shield her ears from the loud roar. Carrie squeaked loudly as she draws her body a ball, her eyes shut tight.
However, disappointingly there was not a single thing that can serve as one to use as a shield let alone not even a stone is on the ground. Regrettably, the "materializing clothes by focus your imagination" method does not work out like it does usually.
After minutes of fruitless searching.
In the end, he had to resort to ask the girl for clothes or rather something to at least cover his private areas.
"Erm... excuse me. Could you lend me... something to *cough* 'wear' " He tried to speak slowly and lower his voice to be sound as polite as possible with a smile, hopefully not further frighten the girl.
On the ground, she whimpered like a child. Who was this boy? She couldn't trust him, could she? I mean who would trust a naked guy in a dark cave, demanding for her clothes! What would she do now? She panicked without saying a word. Eyes still sealed tightly, she kept hugging herself.
"W-who are you?..." she asked sheepishly...
"W-who are you?..." The girl asked sheepishly.
'Alright, don't screw this one up' He thought inwardly and began to introduce himself.
"I am ______ ... Huh? ...What?" There's nothing coming out from his mouth when he spoke his name.
"_______" Like someone pressed the mute button his voice can't came out when he tried to pronounce his name.
"I-I can't speak my name?" The boy was shock when he found out he can't no longer spoke his name, hurriedly he tried to draw his name on the sand. Writing was another form of communication of human beings, this may work.
He bring his finger to touch the sandy ground of the cave. Though, when he tired to start writing, a sudden jolt of pain was felt in his mind. He felt like his brain getting stab and drill by million of needles. The pain was so intense for him that he nearly blackout again. He felt something oozing out from his nostrils. By nature he wipe them off and to his horror, he found that it was no nose fluid... it was blood... his own blood...
"H-He...hehehe... Now, this is new..." The boy hand is trembling. The pain, the feeling was too real, too great to be just a dream.
"O-Okay... Cool down now... S-Stop yourself from freaking out now..." He inhales deeply desperately trying to suppress the rising fear coming from his heart.
...
After a moment, he spoke again.
"I... kinda don't remember it. Also sorry if I am scarring you but I need clothes for now, I think someone strip me clean when I was out cold. Could you tell me who you are?" It's kinda true since he can't really recall his name right now. It's like someone was blocking that particular part of his memory.
No, this wasn't going to work. Suddenly, she looked away took a few steps back, crouched down and put down the bag on the ground. She took out one of her exercise-books with her name written on the front cover and without looking at him again, hands it out at him with one hand.
((Ah, sorry. Short post.))
"Carrie... Is that your name?"
Click. Click.
She rapidly pressed the small button at the end, which also housed a small white eraser. Placing her book on her knees, she starts to write down the words neatly, pausing ever so often between words. She thought about what she should say to him in this disturbingly awkward situation. She hoped that he was able to read in this light.
Hesitantly, she hands him the book again only this time, it was opened to show her sentence.
"Yes, my name is Carrie and as you can see, I appear to find myself in an unfamiliar place. Can you help me?"
"Yes, my name is Carrie and as you can see, I appear to find myself in an unfamiliar place. Can you help me?"
After reading the note, the boy hand the book back to her before replying to her.
"As much as I wanted to, I myself have not idea where, why or what happened to me when I ended up here." He paused for a while before continuing on. "All I remember is that I was sleeping on the bus from school to head back home. There was a strange dream about opening a door or something. The next moment when I woke up, I am here."
"How about you? I assume you are too, a student from Yoshima Middle School? Since you are wearing a uniform of our school. Do you recall anything happened when you end up here?" Clearly she was wearing a female school uniform from his school.
"No."
She inhaled deeply and in a flash, Carrie hands the book back. Face downwards, she was trying to hide her embarrassment by looking at the opposite direction.
"No." A simple word was written on it. So the girl had no idea what happened too.
A cold breeze blew from the gaps of the vines which are currently blocking the exit of the cave. The boy shivers from the cold due to his current state he was in.
"ACHOO!! ...I really need clothes..."
Before he could manage to spoke. The girl hand him a gym uniform with her eyes shut tight. Judging by the way she act earlier, this action must had taken all her effort to do so.
"Thanks." He spoke in a tone full of gratitude and took over the clothes from the girl.
"*Cough* I will be changing now... Do you mind..." The boy was ready to changed into the clothes, but then he stop his action when he remembered there was a girl just right in front of him.
...
Just as the girl mentioned. The clothes are rather tight and uncomfortable to wear since their size difference but now at least he is not walking around with his privates exposed. Furthermore, there seem to be a sweet scent similar like sakura petals coming from the clothes. He blushes when he's trail of thought went into the thought of the smell was actually the scent of the girl. Notice his thoughts had gone off trail, he shakes his head to clear the thoughts.
"Err... Carrie is it? Thanks for lending your clothes to me again." He scratched his head while he said this both in embarrassment and gratefulness. It's not really polite to ask a girl for her clothes, let alone one that you never recognize.
"This is sorta late but... mind if I ask you if you still got your cell phone? We might able to call for help if we are within range." The boy asked the girl with a hopeful smile. He hoped things will be not as bad as it look.
Well at least now, he was dressed...
She searched her bag again and found the phone ...but its battery was dead. Sheepishly, she looked up at him and slowly shook her head.
"Alright then, next plan. We need to get of of this cave to see where we are. Sorry about this but mind I asking what do you have in your bag? We need to plan this out if we want to get far." Common rules of survivor being thrown into some random places in RPGs or movies. Information collection.
Carrie quickly snated the bag from the floor and held it tight and protectively against her chest. Eyes wide, she looked up at the boy... and hesitated for a moment as she clutched the brown surface of the hand. She thought about it, and it came into a quick conclusion that she and him were probably going to have to work together.. at least for a while.
Reluctantly, she lessens her grip and slowly hands it over to him... "Pl-plese t-try not t-to mess t-things up.."
"I just want to make sure what stuff do we got to get us going if we ever run into problems."
"Most of what I have are books. Apart from that, all I have are crayons, clips and a small knife for sharpening pencils. The entrance is blocked by a small bulwark of vines. They got small spikes but I think we should be able to cut it open with the knife.. it's pretty sharp."
She thought about it for a while, before continuing...
"I don't think I can cut them loose, can you do it?"
With that, she took out the small knife from her bag, slipped it in the book and handed them both over to the boy.
