Sacara watched as her two younger siblings, Tyrin and Rin, managed to escape out of the same window that Lara went out of. Turning to see if Asher was still there, she was met with his eyes directly looking into hers as he shouted "Go!" Before she could even react, she was thrust out the window. Seeing Asher like this scared her a bit, but she knew that he was just being a protective big brother. Regaining her footing, she ran down the street after her siblings, only hoping that they didn't meet a more fearsome beast. She looked back, only to see if Asher was out yet, and to her relief he had already bolted out the window.

Everything became a blur as she ran, hurdling over remains, going under still standing fences, and managing to make her way through bushes, until she stopped, she had to, least she collapse from exhaustion. Finally going to her knees and panting, she soon realized the drastic change of scenery around her. Smoky air changed to clean, pure forest air and the reds of the ruined city changed to the greens of a healthy and thriving forest. As Sacara got up, she felt relaxed, but she still felt feelings of confusion and fear. Confusion for she even ended up here, and fear for if she had left her siblings behind. Is... is this heaven? Did I... die? She thought, as she'd honestly rather not die while her siblings still 'needed' her, as far as she was concerned. She'd rather be in danger with them than be safe and alone. She looked behind her and only saw an endless row of trees, as if there was never a ruined city at all.

As she walked through the vegetation, she saw a much needed sight- Her sister Lara, safe and sound. She immediately ran towards her, enclosing her in a hug, "Oh Lara, thank goodness you're alright..." she said, but loosened her hug as she asked, "But do you know where your siblings are?" In her eyes there was desperation for her to say 'yes'.

Rin nodded as Asher yelled for them to go and, still clutching onto Tyrin's wrist, turned and bolted away from the house and down the street. Sacara was already far ahead of them but she wasn't really paying much attention to that. She had never been much of an athlete but the adrenaline pulsing through her body gave her the strength to run quite fast. She looked back for a moment and was relieved to see that Asher had also gotten out of the window and was making his way away fromt he house after them. Tightening her grip on Tyrin's wrist so to not let her hand slip, she bolted around a few pieces of ruble and leaped over the cracks in the cement. She was hardly paying any attention as to where she was going, the fear was just too great for her to handle and all she could think about was running away. As she went to move around a large piece of cement that had lifted itself out of the ground, she felt the toe of her shoe catch on something hard and in an instant she let go of Ty's hand as she fell. She placed her hand in front of her as she slammed down onto the pavement, though with the help of her hands slightly breaking her fall. She let out a small whimper as she slid across the sidewalk but quickly picked herself back up, ignoring her stinging hands, elbows, and legs, as she looked at Tyrin. "Come on!" she called to him as she slightly regained herself.

At the sound of someone else in the forest, Lara immediately turned around to see if there was any danger. However she was totally and utterly relieved to see Sacara coming up and hugging her. Smiling, Lara squeezed her sister tight before letting go. "Oh Lara, thank goodness you're alright..." said Sacara, who then loosened her grip on Lara. "But do you know where your siblings are?" At that point Laras' smile faded, as she shook her head miserably.
"No..." she muttered in a slightly worried tone, staring up into her sisters desperate eyes. "I...I thought they were with you." Quickly she stood up and walked over to the entrance of the forest, where she stared out at the distant ruins in order to seek her siblings. But, due to the smoke filled air covering the city, Lara could not spot her treasured brothers and sister. Then she turned back round, and looked at Sacara once again. "Well, at least you're okay. We'll just have to have faith that the others will be fine too." She smiled a smile of hope, before reaching out to hold her sisters hand.

The warm sun breaks through a thick canopy if lush green leaves, as a soft breeze urges the limbs to dance. It carries with is a heavy humid feeling as it passed through ...white wisps drift through the air on a trek far from the forest. Some land on the damp ground, on writhing tree roots, others cause ripples as they fall onto the lake. Bugs can be heard chirping and crying out above in the green leaves, birds sing as they span the sky.

Zeta sits on a rock, protruding over a round crystalline lake, as dragon flies zip around the waters surface. The sun bathes her olive skin as her long black hair trails in a braid, dangling just above the water's surface.

Animals can be heard lurking around the waters edge, hesitating because of her presence.
She bends one knee up in front her her, wrapping her arms around it, and rest's her chin softly on it's peak.
"Come now children," she coos to the forest animals, "I will not harm you, you know this," Her voice is tender as she beckons them. She dips her toes in the cool water, sending ripples across it's surface, "Don't be afraid..."
She begins to sing, her voice traveling through the tree branches.
♪♫♪♫

As she sends her sweet words to the forest, she beckons with her hands for the animals to come out, and small creatures begin to come to the water's edge, and begin listening to her as if in a trance.

Tyrin could do nothing but run. Rin had a good grip on his wrist after all so it wasn't exactly like he had much of a choice but to follow her. He let her guide him down the street, passing ruble and garbage on the way. They had actually put on a good distance between them and the house before Ty suddenly felt Rin let go of his wrist and he watched her make a terrible crash onto the pavement. If this had been any other time he probably would've laughed and teased her about it for the next month because she had never really been the clumsy type. But he knew when he had to be serious and now wasn't the time to be joking around. He stood there, dumbfounded for a moment, as Rin stood up and yelled at him to come on. He ran to her and reached his hand out, this time grabbing her wrist as he began to run in the direction opposite of the house. He ran and ran, surprised at how far he had gone before everything suddenly turned into a green haze. In surprise at all of the colors, Tyrin stopped abruptly and noticed he was standing in the middle of a lush forest. What the heck? I don't remember there ever being a forest here.... He thought to himself, letting go of Rin's wrist and taking a few steps forward. For a moment he didn't realize how tired he was from running for so long but after breathing heavily for a few moments, he felt is shaking knees buckle under him and he fell back onto his bottom and let out a long sigh. "Rin," He rasped as he looked around, his blue eyes scanning the trees for any sign of their other siblings but failing to find any trace, "Where are we?"

Rin was rather surprised when Tyrin grabbed her wrist and began leading her instead after she called for him. When he was even younger, maybe about 5 or 6, Tyrin would always make fun of her and Rin would always want to yell at him but never found the nerve to do it. So for him to actually act as a protective brother caught her off guard. Then again, they were in real danger this time so it was clear why Tyrin was acting like this. As they ran, Rin looked down for a moment at her bleeding knees and noticed the cut on her shin had opened up again from her fall and now and then a large drip of blood would fall onto the pavement. Her elbows her stinging as well and she could also tell that her hands were probably bleeding a little too. Though she kept on her usual blank expression, she was very tempted to cry or ask for Tyrin to slow down. His fast running really surprised her and it was hard to figure out where exactly they were going.

She slowly began to notice as the broken pavement turned into grass and the smoke-filled air became clear and clean. "A forest...[/i] She murmured as they ran on, her eyes glancing around but failing to see any of their siblings. She was worried about Asher since he was the last one who fled the house. Not to mention that her dripping blood might leave a trail for the beast that had seen them if its sense of smell was as good as she thought it was. She realized the best thing to do would've been to stop Tyrin and then wrapped her wound in her school jacket to stop it from dripping so not to leave a trail. Of course, it was a little late for that now. She hoped, since it seemed her shin had stopped dripping, that it had stopped before it could've left an easy-to-follow trail for the beast.

Rin was relieved when Ty finally stopped running and collapsed onto the grass a few feet in front of her. She didn't really bother looking around because she had already gotten a good enough look at the forest as they were running, but Ty looked rather confused and a bit disoriented. When he asked if she knew where they were, she opened her mouth to reply with a simple 'A forest', but was interrupted by the faint sound of singing. Rin turned her head in the direction of the voice. "Music." she mumbled loud enough to Tyrin to hear. "Tyrin, I hear music." She said, looking down at where her brother sat and lifted her arm and pointed in the direction she thought the voice was coming from.

Asher knew that he was behind everyone else. And it scared him that he might lose sight of his siblings. Luckily, as he turned a corner, he saw Rin and Tyrin. Unfortunately, it was about the time that Rin had her accident and he couldn't help but almost let out a shout and run towards her. But as he saw Tyrin grab her (in a shockingly protective way) he breathed a sigh of relief and kept running behind them. He noticed the blood trail that she left and decided to follow that in case he lost sight. He didn't think about if anything else could follow it just as well as him--if not better.

Asher had his mind focused on his siblings, so he barely noticed the change of scenery as the cityscape practically dissolved into green trees. A forest? That wasn't right. Why was there a forest here? Asher had been all around the city, and there was hardly any trees except in the park and small trees in people's yards. So how did this get here? He didn't have time to think though as he came upon Rin and Tyrin.

"Rin! Ty! Thank God I've found you. Rin, are you okay? Here, you're bleeding again," he said, worry poisoning his voice. He kneeled down to wrap a cloth around his sister's knees when he realized that he had dropped the sheet running. Damn, how could he have been so careless? But he needed to help cover his sister's wounds, so he immediately took off his shirt and ripped two strips from it to wrap around her knees. He didn't even think about the scars that riddled his side. He was only worried about his family.

When he stood up again, he looked in the direction that Rin was pointing. "Yeah, music," he said in a quick voice. That somehow didn't seem like the most important thing right now. But it was a little odd. Before he said anything else about it though, he turned to his brother. "Bro, do you need this?" He held up the shirt and kneeled again to try and examine him.

Tyrin inhaled another long gasp of air and let it out, then looked in the direction of where Rin was pointing. She was right, he could hear the sound of someone singing, but it was too faint to really make out. "Weird..then again I don't remember there ever being a forest here either..so everything is kind of weird.." He said in reply to her, his tone of voice clearly showing he didn't really care all that much. Then there was the rustle of leaves and Tyrin looked over behind Rin, relieved to see that his older brother had caught up with them. He watched as Asher took off his shirt and, after ripping some of it, knelt and wrapped up Rin's knees. At the moment Ty's eyes were looking at the scars on his brothers side. He didn't remember ever seeing them before and they had definitely been there for a while. They didn't look like they were from falling or bug bites or something. Where did those scars come from.. he thought to himself as his eyes narrowed a little as he examined Asher's skin.

His thoughts were interrupted though by his brother's voice. "Bro, do you need this?" Tyrin blinked, kind of as if he was coming out of a trance, then looked up at his brother as he knelt down to look at him. Ty just shook his head a little and picked himself up off the ground, ignoring his brother's offering. "No, I'm fine." He said, glancing awkwardly over to the side and blushing a little as he recalled how he had grabbed his sisters hand before. Damn..I must've looked pretty dumb.. He thought to himself, then looked over at Rin. How the heck is she not tired after so much running?! I really do wonder if she is a robot sometimes! Tyrin then looked back at his brother. "Hey, Asher, where did ya get those scars from? The one's on your side." He asked curiously as he looked at his brother.

Hearing voices, Lara got up and walked out from behind the tree cautiously. As soon as she saw her siblings though, she ran over and dived at them, grinning. "Ty, Asher, Rin!" she yelled, looking at them. "Thank god you're okay! I was worried you might not reach us, I was scared that you might get lost." Gently she hugged each one of them in turn, including Tyrin, whose hair she also ruffled. Then she beckoned over to Sacara and called, "Come on, Sacara! The others have got here!" After that she turned back to the rest of her siblings and spoke in a nosy voice. "So...what have you guys been talking about?"
At that point it seemed that Lara had forgotten all about the terrible tragedy occurred, she had just slipped into her own world where everything was okay. Because right now, all she cared about was the fact that her siblings were safe. She wriggled around, getting comfy on the carpet of leaves, before getting into a cross-legged position and fiddling with the twigs and other plant-life on the floor.

Sacara's eyes widened at what she didn't want to hear- Lara didn't know where her siblings where, Lara mentioning that she thought they were with her only made her guilt swell up more. Following Lara to the entrance, she looked over the ruined city, it almost seemed like the forest formed some sort of invisible barrier from the other side, "Lara..." she swallowed, "I'm so sorry about leaving your siblings behind." she apologized, but then shook her head. Now was not the time for self pity.

She then heard voices, somehow they seemed familiar, and to her delight her sister called, saying that her other siblings were here. It seemed like she ran faster than she did before when she hurried over and wrapped each of them (excluding Lara, as she had hugged her earlier) in a hug that might have been a death grip, "Thank goodness the rest of you are okay! I'm so sorry about leaving you all behind, I shouldn't have been so negligent..." she said, some guilt lining her voice. As she hugged Asher, who was the last one to be hugged, she noticed his scars. She blinked when she saw that they weren't recent either.

Part of her said to not worry, since there never seemed to be anything wrong with him, but as she let go of him there was something nagging at her, and for once there seemed to be something... off about him. Before she could ask, however, her eyes darted to Rin's knees, she could see some of the blood on the clothe that wrapped them, "Rin! What happened to you?" she said, going over to her, "Can you still walk? It doesn't hurt too badly, does it?" she said, her own concern over a younger sibling distracted her from asking her question, "If only there was..." she paused when she could swear that she heard... music?

"... Someone else?" she mumbled, finally noticing that there seemed to be someone singing in the background.

Rin let her pointing hand rest at her side as Asher caught up to them. She stood their blankly as her older brother took off his shirt and, ripping off a few pieces, then wrapped the cloth around her bleeding knees. Scars.. She thought to herself as she caught a glimpse of Ashers side before he went over to check on Tyrin, who as usual rejected any help and then asked Asher where his scars came from, though she didn't really pay much attention to them afterwards. She turned her head back to the direction she thought the music was coming from and stared off into the distance. She nearly said something about it again but then she heard Lara's voice and looked over to see that Lara had come out of the blue and joined them, asking them what they were all talking about. She noticed that Lara actually looked pretty happy, despite the situation that they were in.

Shortly after Lara had joined them, Sacara dashed through the trees and instantly hugged them all, except for Lara. Rin gave a small hmph as Sacara hugged her a little too tight before moving on to Asher and then Tyrin.

"Rin! What happened to you? Can you still walk? It doesn't hurt too badly, does it?

Rin heard Sacara say and watched as her sister approached her looking a little distressed. Rin blinked a couple of times before looking down at her knees, then back up at her sister. "I fell. Yes, it does hurt, but I'm okay." She replied flatly, then turned her head back in the direction the music was coming from. It had died down shortly after Sacara seemed to notice it as well, though the others didn't seem all that interested in it. Rin looked around at her siblings, then up at the sky that seemed to be lightening as dawn approached rapidly before turning her head back to where she thought the music had come from and then lifted her had to point again. "Music." She said a little louder this time. "Someone else."

As she finishes her song, she twirls on the tip of the rock, and ends in a pose that usually has a partner. Her dress parted up the her thigh, and she pointed her elegant olive toe.
The animals, all cheered, and became anxious. Hopping up and down the beckoned her to sing again. She sat back down in the protruding rock, and pulled her legs up to her chin. Trailing behind her was the long sable braid, dangling just above the water's surface. Resting her head on her chin, and curling her toes on the rock's edge she wondered, Is there anyone out there for me...
It was spring in the forest, and the animals were all pairing up and everything was bursting with life. Every year Zeta simply watched, wishing she had someone of her own. Her gate was solemn as she descended the rock "You want me to sing another song?"
The animals all cheered, watching as her face saddened, they stopped. The tone of the forest reflected her, the tree branches seemed lethargic, and the leaves drooped. The wind almost sounded like music as it whipped through the branches.

♪♫♪♫

As she sings, she begins dancing around the lake. Her long legs carry her gracefully, her toes pointed and poised. She moves with the music, and bellows out the tune at the top of her lungs. Singing with all her loneliness, teardrops form in her eyes.
Her gaze looks out to the forest, for no particular reason she feels as if someone is listening to her, shaking off the feeling she continues her song.
Her voice is hypnotic, beckoning and echoing through the forest. The tree's sway with her voice, dancing in the wind.

Asher almost sighed when Tyrin said he was fine. He looked okay, but there were bound to be some cuts or scrapes to cover up. He would never accept Asher's help anyways. Regardless of what his brother said, he licked his shirt and wiped off a bit of dried blood anyways as Tyrin asked him a question that Asher dreaded to hear: "Hey, Asher, where did ya get those scars from? The one's on your side." It caught the blue-haired boy off guard, and he diverted his eyes to his side as if it was the first time he had ever seen them before. Of course, it was just because he was surprised that Ty had noticed, and was so immersed in what was going on that he had almost forgotten them, but he tried to play it off like he hadn't noticed them before. He only let himself hesitate for a split second and swallowed a lump in his throat. How could I have been so stupid to forget that? he scolded himself. That deserved a cut. He tried to convince himself that it was because he had to help his little sister, but he was still really mad at himself. But he looked back up at his brother, hoping that he wouldn't be able to see the pale face that he wore in the dim light, and just said, "Huh, I don't know. I guess just from whatever happened to us last night." Then he used Ty's shoulder to stand himself up and gave a huge smile.

"Those were some pretty awesome moves you had back there," he said to quickly get the conversation away from him, and teasing Tyrin after seeing him blush. "Didn't think you had it in you to play the chivalrous one." He let out a light laugh but then stopped and looked to the side. He heard leaves rustling, and being in a forest that shouldn't exist put him on edge. It could be anything, maybe even that snake that they saw earlier. He took a step forward to put himself in between the new threat and his siblings. But then he saw a small figure come out from the trees and sighed in relief. It was just Lara. She came and hugged them all--Asher picked her up when she hugged him--before sitting down and asking what they were talking about. "Oh you know, how nice the weather is and all that jazz," he answered with a grin. Sacara immediately followed her and did the same, of course booting up into mother phase when she saw Rin's knees. But then she said something about music, and Asher remembered that Rin had said something about that, which she did once more.

Asher listened closely and finally heard what they were talking about. It was a beautiful sound that even the forest seemed to listen to, he noticed, as everything was quiet apart from the voice. "Well guys, I don't know about you, but I'm curious." He took a step in the direction he heard it. "It sounds like it's coming from over there." He hesitated first though, noticing that it would be light soon, and tied two strips of cloth around his wrists. He could at least hide those scars and act like they were just cuts from whatever hell they had been through. Then he looked behind him and added mischeviously, "Who wants a piggy back ride from big brother?"
