Personality

Despite his infamous reputation, Jose is actually a well-mannered, friendly, simple individual. He would welcome, talk about simple things, laugh and tell jokes, serve some grub, and wish a good day's night, even to a stranger. He knows his way around the flaws of the locals, and is able to reflect what the person likes. This outgoing behavior has earned him many friends in and out of his establishment, including some that would aid him in his underground smuggling business.

He does have a bad side, however, in the form of rage and extremely dark humor, which has only been witnessed by traitorous or failed business partners, who have never been heard of again. He does not express this in front of bounty hunters or awared officials, though.

As a man of rhetoric and disguises, he is able to switch to any persona of his choosing, in order to earn the trust of someone or to further his own goals. He is known to be able to trick the wittiest of guards and merchants this way.
