Lila was born in the cold of Dec ember. It was so snowy her father while coming home had snow all in his hair when he picked up his little daughter Lila Marie Stanford. Her parents worked hard to come where they are. Lila knew from her childhood she was different there was something about her that made her feel different. She felt like she had a connection with plants and then she felt she had a connection with air. She didn’t know what to believe or think so she kept her thoughts to herself. She one day was really mad and cast a spell on a classmate and made him turn into a frog, Not knowing what she was doing she ran out of there never turning him back a) because she didn’t know how and b) because she was frightened by the turn of events. Lila from that day forward did research and someone got in contact with her telling her she needed to go to a school called Hogwarts. She didn’t know who this person was but they talked and he discussed that she was from muggleblood meaning that her parents are witches or wizards but she is. She was a little nervous and intimated by this male who spoke to her but she had a feeling she could trust him. She packed her bags and cast a spell on her parents and made her forget about her knowing it was the best thing to do. She left with the man and hopped on a train and went to this school he spoke of. She now awaits the mysteries that lie ahead.

So begins...

"Mrs. Bexley!"

Hazel gasped, jumping nearly three feet from her seat and dropping the book, The Truth About Alice, which she was currently ready. Her large square tint glasses nearly fell off the bridge of her nose if she hadn't caught them with her thumb and forefinger.

"Ah! Y-y-yes sir!?" She stuttered, hiding the book in the folds of her robes.

The teacher, Horace Slughorn, sighed, catching her in the act of not paying attention but unfornunantly falling victim to her innocent, pleading face. "When preparing a Wit-Sharpening potion, what should you add in order for the potion to turn from blue to red?"

Hazel smiled knowingly."That would be Ground Scarab Beatles, sir."

"Indeed, very good, Mrs. Bexley."

Hazel sighed, mentally thanking her wit for coming up with the answer. She looked to her right, at her twin brother, Basil, who unlike her had been paying attention. She scrunched up her nose. He needed to lighten up sometimes. Sighing, she looked to her left. Lila, who she honestly couldn't tell if she had been paying attention or not. Hazel shrugged it off, and wondered what their other friends her up to. Malcom, a 6th year, probably knee deep in studies. Poor upperclassmen. So much work, no time for adventure. And her new friend, from Hufflepuff. First year. They were probably having the time of their life in this new magical adventure, lucky wizard.

Behind her, a few students were gossiping. Ah, the 'Forbidden Dungeon'. This has been going around Hogwarts for a while, even most of the first year's knew about it on their first day. Oh, Hazel would do anything to find it. She sighed longingly.

"So, I heard that someone found the entrance! But, like they won't tell us where. It sucks!"

"Yeah, I heard that too, but I also heard that they revealed you could see it from the top of Hogwarts! I wonder how they got up there. The very top of the towers is nearly impossible to climb up on."

"Broomstick" Hazel thought. The gears started turning in her head, and as her eyes lit up with idea's, a large smile appeared on her already cheerful face.

"Basil, Lila, are you guys thinking what I'm thinking!?" Of course they weren't, no one ever knew, but she still wanted to be polite, and asked anyway. She didn't even give them a chance to ask. "After class, we get our broomsticks, and-"

"Mrs. Bexley, just because you say the right answer, does not give you the right to talk. Now pipe down!"[/b]

"Um, yes sir." Bloody hell! Hopefully she told them enough information before she got caught.

Lila seemed to be good in school. She oddly not always was good when she in normal school. Normal Man she feels bad saying that she didn't understand her life now. Everything was different now. She was staying at a boarding school called Hogwarts her life was ridiculous.

She was sitting beside Hazel Bexley and another student Hazel's brother Basil who was super cute. She sat and looked at her textbook and paid attention to the teacher Horace Slughorn he was teaching he asked Hazel a question about the potion and knew that later on her turn was about to come. She had been studying hard in this class since potions were one of her favorite subjects in school.

She took school very seriously and was quite happy that it was going so well for her so far. She listened as Basil spoke now about an error being on page 45. She had read the text book over already and she knows that there isn't any errors on it that she knew of. SHe smiled and listened as the teacher spoke.

She listened as it was her turn now most likely. "Miss. Stanford what must you mix in now?" Lila Stanford looked at him and smiled at him. "Mr. Slughorn you must mix Armadillo Bile until the potion is purple." She smiled at herself because she was quite proud of herself. She looked down at her uniform, Which was made up of a black skirt, white blouse, grey sweater gryiffandor scarf and a pair of flat heels.

She smiled at Basil and Hazel. Making a quick note with her quill into her notebook she smiled at them and whispered even though she knew what Hazel's hobby was on looking into these rumors and not fully agreeing or disagreeing with them she smiled at her and whispered real low. "Sure I do. I am okay with that."

"And have a grand adventure that will either get us killed or expelled? Hmm" Her brother whispered to her, before he was also caught, yet tried to cover it up with a spelling error on page 45. Despite being wrong and causing Hazel to laugh at him, she knew that she would have made the same mistake. Mint did make a lot more since.

"Sure I do. I am okay with that."

Hazel smiled at her friend, and whispered in a very low voice so Mr. Slughorn and his freaky all-hearing ears wouldn't hear her. "See, Lila agrees with me.

The bell rang, signalizing the end of this period and the start of another, which for them was free period. Hazel smiled at her luck. She had to grab Basils wrist and drag him along with her to the courtyard, knowing he would rather go back to the dorm and read, or whatever it his her nerdy brother did when he was alone. She wouldn't have that. Hazel hoped Lila was following them, or else she'd just have to sit outside in the courtyard holding down Basil as he tried to escape her wrath. That has happened more times that she'd like to admit.

Once arrived at the courtyard, Hazel twirled around and smiled, her eyes lighting up behind her glasses. "So, about this rumor, I heard you could see it from the very top point of the tower." She pointed up to the tallest tower, a nearly impossible point to reach by climbing up the building, as the stairs would only take you so far. "So, I saw we get our broomsticks and figure out if that's true or not!"

She was being a wee bit pushy as the explained her plan. For all she knew the rumor could be just than, a rumor. However, no one could deny what they saw the first night of school. Whether there was some strange prison under the school, so deep that know one has seen, or maybe it was just a trick of the eye. There was a professor missing, and the dungeon theory was her only lead.

Malcolm woke to two things. First, and rather the louder of the two things, was the high pitched voice of some one he new. He opened his eyes only to find him self staring in to a wall of words, only to realize his face was in his book. After removing it, he blinked a few times and looked at the source of the high pitched British voice. "Dear god im too tired for this", he mumbled as he stood up and retrieved his book off the ground. The second thing was that he had forgotten to spit out his gum, which was now plastered to the to the top of his mouth. He peeled it off with his tong and found it still had a bit of flavor to it, so he kept it in and began to walk over to his friends.

Basil grumbled, muttering to himself about all the things that could go wrong. "Crash into...", he murmured, surveying the courtyard, "No exit...". Other students were walking by, taking no notice of them. They were probably doing something normal like talking about crushes or homework. "Expelled," he continued. His brow wrinkled with all sorts of imaginary problems until his eyes finally landed on Lila. He had nearly forgotten she was there. She appeared from time to time with her eyebrows and her opinions. He was undecided about her eyebrows. Sometimes he liked them and sometimes they puzzled him. There were so many expressions she had with them. He couldn't tell what she was thinking most of the time. Maybe that was it. He couldn't read her.

"Fine, fine... if we must," he grumbled, eyeballing the tower. It would be cold and they'd probably be seen. He had been working on a spell to camouflage their appearance. It might be a good time to test it. Although the last time he had tried it, his skin looked like green striped wallpaper for a week. From the corner of his eye, he saw Malcolm walking over. He looked as if he had just woken up. He turned to Hazel and with a hushed voice, he said, "Okay, just because he's older, doesn't mean he gets to run the show," Basil was a lot of things but tolerant of Slytherins were low on the list. He didn't hate them but he definitely didn't trust them.

Hazel elbowed her brother lightly on the arm. The reason behind it was for two reasons, one for thinking on the negative side of things, always thinking something could go wrong. The second was for not trothing Malcolm. It was true, after The War, Slytherins were not very well liked, nor trusted. Most of them Hazel didn't trust. However there was something about Malcom that she couldn't help but like. Maybe it was that he was the only Slytherin that would dare fall asleep in class.

"Don't be silly, Basil." She whispered back. "Lighten up on him, will you?"

She smiled at the older boy as he walked up towards them. She met him half way, happily bouncing on her heels in excitement.

"Hey, Malcom, we're about to fly up to the highest tower on broomsticks! Want to join?"

She joined back with the others before Malcom had time to answer. The smile on her face was almost as bright at the shimmering sun above. Hazel was happy they might get to have some fun together. The were wizards for crying out loud. What was the point of having magic if know one used it? Also, she was glad to get Basil out of his books. He needed to see the world, and frankly get a tan while he;s at it.

"Okay, so not taking into account what Mr. Worrywart over here..." She gestured to her brother, "...is so concerned about, I think this will be really fun. When was the last time we really had an adventure together? A long time, that's when. So, all in agreement?"

[center] Lila walked out of class and followed Hazel who was pulling her brother Basil. It seemed that these three always hanged out oddly she didn't understand why when they all were a bit different one thing they may have had in common was school. Lila knew she enjoyed it and even though people called Hazel and Basil nerds behind their backs it wasn't true and deep down Lila kind of thought of herself as a nerd also. But then that saying always comes to mind. Nerd? I like to think more intelligent than you.

She smiled and continued to follow Hazel and her brother Basil. She sat beside them and looked at Basil for a minute. She had a bit of a crush on him but Lila didn't really ever point it out. It was just the way he looked with those glasses. She shook it off and paid attention to the conversation. To be totally honest she was kind of on Basil's side. She thought that this would get them expelled and she wasn't really old enough to live on her own and she erased her parents heads. She hadn't even told anyone that so.

Yeah there wasn't really a lot of I want to go on this trip in her mind. She looked at Basil she felt sorry for the guy that she was a bit hard on him. "He does have a bit of a point." She said in agreement to his talk about expellation. She was looking at the scenery and noticed someone had come up and sat with them. It was some Slytherin who she didn't like too much but unlike Basil she bit her tongue. "So what's the plan?"

Malcolm heard what Hazel said and nodded and replied "Ok, so why are we going to fly up to the top the tower?". He stood a good distance away from the group, mainly out of habit. He did this because his accent made him stand out in a British crowd and it was best not to get in a fight in said crowd. He stole a glance at Hazels brother and caught a hint of distrust in the brits eyes. Great, even the nerds don't trust me just because i chose the snake instead of the lion he thought as he stole a slightly longer look at Hazel her self. He didn't know why or how, but she always managed to bring a smile to his face, even if it was only a slight smile. After a moment of thought, he found it were here eyes, but it perplexed him on why.

Basil grumbled. "Fine, fine, let's all get killed," he muttered. He brushed a hand through his hair, nervously. As they grew closer to actually flying off into what could only be madness, the knot in his stomach grew tighter and tighter. But he wasn't about to leave his sister alone with the Slytherin. With a great intake of breath, he straightened up his spine, nearly reaching Malcolm's height. "Let's just get this over with. I have homework to do,"

Hazel smiled brightly when Basil and Malcolm said they were in agreement. She turned towards Lila, then pushed her glassed back into place as she sudden movement made them slip down her nose. She made a metal note to invest on contacts one of these day.

"The plan, my dear Lila, is to fly up to the tower with no one seeing us. We'll use a spell, I think Basil has been working on one. She nudged her brother a bit to insure that he was still listening. An once we're as high as he can go, we look out and see if there's anything out there. Something out on the ordinary. And if there isn't, we'll know that this rumor is stupid and false. Though if we do see something, well, I'll make that up as we go along."

Hazel looked around the courtyard, make sure know one was looking in this particular direction. She didn't see much, and for one it was mostly empty. Only a few Hufflepuffs loitering around near the school entrance. They aren't much of a tattletale. Beyond that was just the black and grey stone of the court. A blank space, not counting the large bronze statue of Albus Dumbledore, the head master of Hogwarts before...well, everyone knows the story. Hazel was only a first year at the time. She wasn't even aloud to fight in the war! Just sit like ducks while everyone else got hurt or killed my The Dark Lord.

That's why Hazel was so intent on solving this rumor. If there was something under Hogwarts, it could be dangerous. She wanted, for once, to play the hero, and not just sit around while everyone else gets killed. Her and her best friends, or course. She wouldn't even think about leaving them behind.

Not a chance.

"Really, a new spell, this should be...interesting if any thing." Malcolm said. He straitened him self out, bringing him to his full height of 6`3 and said "So, if we are going to do this now, then I should go and get my broom, left it on my dorm." he began to head out of the court yard as he spoke.
