"People just call me by my name, it's pretty difficult to get a nickname out of Fen anyway!"

|{Birthday}|
5th of March 1957 {equivalent to around 21 or so due to aging very slowly}
"Technically I'm old huh?"

|{Species}|
Hsien

|{Sexuality}|
Bi-curious
"But lately I've been curious, don't tell my family otherwise they'll kill me."

|{Occupation}|
Wushu instructor

|{Role}|
Clumsy free spirit

|{Mentality}|
Fen's curiosity has always been at its peak when it comes to finding out about other monsters, though she truly hates that term, 'Monsters.' By joining 'Return to Reality' she hopes she can make friends who seem like they'd be more understanding but also learn and grow as an individual and maybe even get rid of her awkward personality. She never got the reason why there was segregation because in her mind everything would seem better without it and the knowledge of each and every species would be available.

|{Personality}|

Loyal, "how can anyone not be?"
Fen is easily trusting, in fact she's too trusting which can often cause her trouble though she never cares. Loyalty for her is one of the most important things a person can offer regardless of whether they are your friends, family or significant other. Growing up she has always heard her grandparents talk about how she'll find those few people who will be loyal to her as she is to them which resulted in her never seeing the bad in people but the good, even if she has to look really hard for it.

Cheerful, "people always react better to a smile."
Always smiling and never letting the negatives bring her mood down, Fen from a very young age has learnt to accept the negatives in life as they'll always be there no matter how hard you push them away. It's better in her opinion to just hold on to the positives no matter how small because that way she finds that it is a better balance for her life.

Self-Disciplined, "otherwise you'll never get that far."
Being brought up in a traditional Chinese home and living with strict grandparents, Fen did a lot growing up from learning the art of Chinese calligraphy to learning the Xiao and the Erhu. Also her father, wanting a boy first pushed activities like Wushu upon her and past times such as Mahjong was played competitively by her and her grandfather and sometimes even with the neighborhood elders. Because of them, Fen wanting to perfect and master the skills she learnt from each one and in order to do so she had to be self-disciplined.

Clumsy with her words, "I didn't mean to say that!"
Quite frankly Fen doesn't have much of a filter in her mind but says things that she probably shouldn't and in a way that may sound rude or snobby to others. But as someone who tends to speak her mind and prefers honesty sometimes she can think aloud without realizing. Her mother always told her that she was 'clumsy with her words' and should think before she says anything which she tries to do but sometimes she lets out whatever's in her mind without much of a thought so embrace yourself.

Free spirit,"letting go and being yourself regardless of anyone or society around you is important!"
As the perfect child growing up in a traditional household Fen did everything and anything to make her family proud, however quickly she realized that she wasn't happy or doing things for herself but rather for those around her. Little things like living for the moment and letting go of anything that once may have shaped her parents views or behaviour like politics which she doesn't necessary agree on. Even perusing little dreams like karuta as weird as it may sound to everyone else is something she holds a very serious opinion about.

Quirks/oddities:
Has a weakness for rescuing stray animals||dislikes the sound of chewing so usually hums a tune under breath||believes in karma||ambidextrous||has a black belt in karate||always early to everything||pulls on her earrings when nervous/uncomfortable/bored||randomly adds Chinese words into sentences||speaks in Chinese when she's overly excited or angry||

Strengths/talents:
Self defense/karate/wushu||competitive karuta||gymnastics||playing the Xiao & Erhu||time management||

{Abilities}|
As being immortal comes from absorbing nutrients and power from nature from the trees to the water, she has a strong connection to nature because it is a source of her immortality. The hsein and nature balance of each other like yin-yang. Furthermore due to the fact that she doesn't fit in any of the 3 categories {which are the types of hsein and their abilities are specific to the type they are} even though has unique abilities which are from each category, she is a rather special and rare hsein.
From being able to go into a spirit form which is the special ability from the shih chieh hsien though it takes a lot of power and afterwards it does make her weak to being able to have a certain amount of control of the wind like the t'ien hsien. Fen still doesn't realize what she can and can't do.

|{Place of Origin}|
Shanghai, China
|{History}|"Thinking back gives me a headache"
Fen Zhang was born in Shanghai, China in a rather rainy day that was natural during the summer climate. It was during pregnancy that her mother knew of Fen’s monstrous nature when visiting an old Wu she knew while she was once a child, because of this her mother was strongly opposed to even giving birth to the child though was convinced and actually forced into it by her husband and his grandparents as the birth of Hsien have been decreasing quite rapidly causing alarm to the species. This did result in her mother’s complete rejection of Fen to the point where she didn't acknowledge her at all and was treated as a mere guest.
Even though her mother’s lack of love was apparent, Fen’s father and grandparents were very supported of her growing up and being raised in a traditional Chinese household she was shaped into becoming an ideal child and even took on activities like wushu and karate regardless of the fact that her classes consisted of boys. It could be mentioned that Fen’s father really wanted a boy to carry on the family name and without realizing it he subconsciously pushed on goals and ambitions which may have been more suitable for males in society.

Regarding being an Hsien which was talked frequently about in everyday life, Fen had always tried to learn more about the nature behind their species, her grandparents specifically took her to Wu's who would answer her questions. Of course not all questions were answered and even though Fen has a lot of things she is curious about herself. Hsien is literally 'an immortal' living on earth, however through the use of nature as a 'drug' to serve the purpose. The concept of yin-yang is strongly necessary for the perfect balance in the body. There are three types of immortals though Fen currently seems indifferent to which one she may be, though many of the Wu's she visited growing up told her how different she was from all the other types of Hsien and how though she had qualities that fit into each one she still didn't belong to a specific one meaning she may even have the possibility of a combination. There are the celestial immortals (t'ien hsien} which largely is focused to the sky, wind and air around them, the terrestrial immortals (ti hsien) who resort to mountains and forests who are more earthly and the third category would be the corpse-free immortals (shih chieh hsien) who are unexplained and rare, they are the types who can bring back the dead or go into a 'spirit form' or even go into another body. In history there have been famous Hsien all who roamed the universe, their actions and miracles generating stories. The most important one of course is the Chinese mythology of the Eight Immortals who all have individual associations to their power.

As the years went past Fen's curiosity to learn more about other species of monsters led to her openly talking about exploring, the idea was banned by her father who was strict on who she would associate herself with and never liked the idea of mixing.

|{Happiest Memory}|
"I was young and there was this huge festival at the main area in Shanghai where the oldest leaders from each Hsien category talked to us and performed. Everything was so colorful, people were happy and there was a lot of activities and it was a celebration of life and hope. Mother was still sane around that time and enjoyed it even holding my hand because of the large crowds..."
|{Saddest Memory}|

"I remember all the elders were gathered together for a meeting about how to solve the falling Hsien births, even though babies who were born had Hsien blood and were immortal somehow they weren't gaining individual powers to set them apart into the categories. It was like they were just immortal humans in a way. After all who will take over the district, who will keep the balance going for our survival?"

-Chinese Proverb

ImageImage
|{Other}|
Fen's mother fell into depression and is currently residing in a home away from the main house. The main reason to why she became so locked up and paranoid was because of Fen's birth..
She's been an outcast while growing up because she doesn't fit any category which is a big issue.
Due to the hsien's birth rate decreasing rapidly, a new category was made which consists of the majority of people called human hsien. They posses no powers and are basically just immortal humans.
Because of her curiosity of other monsters, her father's strict on mixing blood and by joining the show she's in a way betrayed him but also because the hsien elders aren't too keen on the show they also advised her not to go against them seeing as they are in a crisis right now.

For the newbies, their first time seeing the United States is through tinted glass. Flown to the states from
their home countries, the new cast members are gussied up for their big debut and called one at a time to
be interviewed on worldwide television. The lights are blinding, the set is stifling, and the pressure to
impress the crowd is anything but effortless. Meanwhile, the returning cast members wait in the green room
to be called on stage. Ushered on stage onto a four person couch, they’re coaxed into sharing what they’ve
done since season one. They sit together with smiles plastered on their faces as though they’re old friends
when in truth some of them cannot stand one another. Once they’ve been given enough of the limelight,
they’re all ushered into a private jet and flown to the Isles of Scilly.

The streets are filled to the brim by the curious spectators. Unknowing bystanders, which were few and far
between, were confused by the spectacle while others have flown for all corners of their providence just to
see this event unfold in person. Slowly, the vehicles make their way through the crowded road. As the
limousines closer, the flashes of the cameras of the paparazzi intensified. While most entered the luxurious
premises without too much difficulty, others were faced with the usual complications that came with the fame.
Some fanatics pushed themselves against the vehicles screaming the returning cast's names while others tried
to catch a glimpse of the newbies. As usual, the security crew handled the situation accordingly in order to
proceed promptly with the schedule.

They’re in the house gathered into the living room by the producer who captures their attention with a clasp
of his hands as he stands in front of the fireplace. "Alright everyone, tonight marks the first night of season two. We’ve got
our veterans over here-…"
he gestures to the couch on his left where all but one sit and then to his right where they
huddle around as much as possible, "…-and our newbies. For those who don’t know me, my name is Claude Fauré. You may
address me as anything you see fit. Once I assign you to a bedroom, you will be given a roommate and we’ll begin filming. Now-…”"

He goes through the list, telling each member of the cast where they’ll be staying before he pockets his cellphone
and gives them a look of warning. "“The cameras will be rolling at all times. I reiterate: at all times. Some moments may not
make the final cut but everything will be on film. Because the goal of this season is to prove that different species from different
Providences can in fact live in harmony, I would like to respectfully request that you hold yourself at some level of decency."
With one
last grin he snaps his fingers, ushering the cameramen into the room. "Now, you’ll have about half an hour to get your
things settled before the cameras start rolling so use them wisely."

The whole thing was simply just getting on her nerves. Now Fen isn't one to complain or show her negativity, rather when she did in the past a stern look from her grandparents would be all it took to get her to quiet down but to think that everyone around her didn't even say goodbye when she was about to leave, not even a glance at her direction which surprisingly hurt. As Fen thought back to the day before, a loud squeal of frustration left her mouth for the lack of support she had. Why couldn't they just forget about their differences in opinion to wish her good luck, after all she was going the United States which is probably nothing like China and that thought made the butterflies in her stomach worse.

"Don't even get me started on Father." she mumbled under her breath. When a limousine appeared just outside her house Fen couldn't help but widen her eyes in shock because all of a sudden it seemed like reality had hit her in the face. Before she could even utter a single word her father had already left the house for the market without even a hint of acknowledgment. It wasn't a great start to the day as she slipped into the vehicle and waited anxiously to get to the Shanghai Pudong International airport. The flight was long seeing as she was basically travelling to the other side of the world and her positive attitude was replaced with regret. Perhaps it would have just been better if she stayed back at home, obviously her father knew what was best for her even the 3 hsien leaders warned her of misfortune if she went and throughout all her life she has never gone against an elder before. No one has really, yet the curiosity for knowledge changed her mind. How could anyone just want to stay where they were? There was a whole other world out there and China was just a little piece of it filled with only one group of monsters.

As soon as Fen's plane landed and she was out, a group of people rushed to her in mere seconds leaving her in a daze. They nudged her into another car and the sound of hurried conversations and beeping from phones was all that could be heard though Fen was too busy starring through the window, eyes wide open at the mere sight of New York and how awfully big it really was. Before she could even ask a question she was yet again nudged out of the car and taken to a studio all too soon. Fen got handed an outfit which she tried to put on with rapid speed as it seemed that no one had time for any delays. Walking out without even a minute going by she was pushed gently onto a chair where the make-up artists began their job.

"這是所有太" she thought to herself as she followed along with everyone. Everything was going too fast for her liking but before she knew it she was yet again being transported presumably to the house where she sat now on a couch, her eyes skimming across the room noticing a wide variety of people including the veterans who seemed all friendly enough but most importantly she was just so curious about everyone. Even though Fen was in a bit of a daze, she listened to Claude Fauré as he listed the roommates, whilst biting her lower lip she heard her name being called out alongside another, Isis Neferet her new roommate.

As everyone began to disperse Fen stood up realizing it would be best if she went over and got herself settled into her room where she hoped to find her roommate. Looking around the living room she noticed how grand it was, well everything in the house was exceptionally fancy from the candle lit chandelier to the huge golden mirror which settled right above the fireplace. It was quite worrying because she didn't want to break anything so she had to be extremely careful whilst living here. Her legs led her out of the living room to where she found the stairs leading to the six different bedrooms.

"Room number 6, huh my lucky number as well" she whispered to absolutely no one as she walked along the corridor to the last door. Wondering whether to knock or not just in case her roommate was already in, Fen simply pushed the door gently then seeing that it was empty walked in completely, leaving the door slightly open.

"This is nothing like my bedroom back home" Fen exclaimed, her eyes scanning the large room. Though in Shanghai her room was fairly big, this seemed too extravagant so it would take her some time just to get comfortable and used to the new setting. Taking the bed nearest to the window Fen plopped her suitcase on top, unzipping it to reveal its content. Since she was going to be here for some time the young hsien made sure she had her important items with her including a few of her all time favourite books which she put aside to sort out later, her wushu stick {棍}which was in its own box for practice and a few other bits and pieces.

Rather than finishing with her unpacking, she lazily zipped her suitcase and propped it besides her bed. She was much more excited and somewhat nervous about meeting her new roommate Isis but since she was curious to find out more about other species it was the wait that kept her to some extent bored. Finally after what seemed too long Fen went to the window where she sat down and grabbed the nearest cream pillow. She starred out where her thoughts went back to the first time she was told that she'd been accepted to the show. It wasn't surprising how everyone was against it seeing as the Hsien population had a growing number of problems, especially since there was rumours about it separating the 'real Hsien' and the 'human Hsien' who were just ordinary humans with immortality.
Closing her eyes Fen felt her skin absorb the sunlight greedily as she waited patiently for Isis.

It goes without saying that Isis isn’t prepared for what’s to come. She thought she was…she expected the bright lights and cameras, but that’s as far as her expectations got. After kissing her mother and younger brother goodbye, she set off to a world so foreign from the one she’s come to know and let’s just say she was already getting the jitters. Having never been on a plane before, never rode in a limousine a day in her life, and there were so many people staring at her. Yeah, she knew that millions upon millions were going to be watching her on a weekly basis, but she never thought about seeing them crowd around her like this. Bright flashes, a torrent of faceless voices, and an Advil later, Isis is sitting on a couch with her eyes fixed on her first live Gryphon. She’s in awe of it all because she would have never predicted that she’d be in a room with so many different species. As Claude gave his explanations of how things were going to happen, Isis finds herself taking in all of the different faces. There’s so much variety it makes her both giddy and nervous.

With so many personalities and races under one roof there is so much room for error; so many ways to fuck up and lose control of her inner monster. She knows the risks associated with this show and knows that she is putting herself on the line, but it’s worth it…at least that’s what she told her younger brother, Geb when he begged her not to sign up for this. Despite his discomfort, Isis wanted to teach him that there was so much out there just waiting to be explored and so many people to learn from. He was skeptical, of course, but Isis was determined which is why she’s sitting here now; bright eyed and bushy tailed and scared out of her fucking mind.

Her gaze moves to the veterans and she recognizes all four of them. Dracen and Spike seemed to be the nicest of the bunch if her memory of last season is correct. Eleniel was the bitch and judging by the way she just hissed at Aidan…Isis doesn’t doubt it, and speaking of Aidan, he seems to be more of a handful in person than on her television set. She wonders what it will be like seeing him every day. There’s only one way to find out…

Before she knows it, it’s time to unpack and get settled in. In her mind, she begins running over her objectives:

1. Find your room
2. Find your roommate
3. Make her like you
4. Don’t mess up

Easy enough, right? So that’s what she does. With her ruby red bottom lip worrying between her teeth, Isis delves further into the unknown; looking for room number six. She’s beyond glad that she finds it with little difficulty since it would really be embarrassing to wander around the villa for hours on end. As soon as she enters the bedroom the first thing she does it appreciate the sheer luxury of having a room this big. Sharing it wasn’t going to be a problem seeing as she and Geb have been sharing a room since she was fourteen, but never has she had a bedroom like this…and she’s so thankful it’s ridiculous. After a long moment of awe, she finally realizes that she isn’t alone in this room. A beautiful petite Chinese girl is there; sunlight beaming on her and casting shadows on her angular face in a way that Isis can only describe as angelic…and Isis suddenly feels inferior and really freaking rude as if she’s intruding on a private moment. Our little emissary sucks in a breath of air and tries not to sound as nervous as she really is.

“Um, hello,” she greets her roommate, offering a friendly smile and a small wave. “You must be my roommate, Fen. My name is Isis. It’s nice to meet you.”

After being ushered out of private jet from her hometown near London, United Kingdom Elizabeth has to admit it's a bit scary being here, after all her parents didn't want her to come at all. However, her blast of determination didn't stop her, she wanted to show her parents that species could co-exist and her brother, William didn't make a wrong choice about Andrea Reid because of her Basilisk identity.
She spent most of her time on the plane trying to catch up on some sleep to prevent her from being too jetlagged when she arrived. However, the music from the entertainment system was very tempting to her, so though she tried sleeping there was part of the plane ride that was dedicated to the music.
After being led into a house all the participants were gathered in the living room as the producer stood up to announce something. To be honest Elizabeth didn't really pay attention to what he was saying, she was distracted by the set up of the living room. She saw the producer gesture towards 3 people sitting on the couch, Elizabeth knew they looked quite familiar as she has seen some episodes of the previous season but she didn't really pay attention to which veterans they were. "and our newbies. For those who don’t know me, my name is Claude Fauré. You may
address me as anything you see fit. Once I assign you to a bedroom, you will be given a roommate and we’ll begin filming. Now-…”
As he continued, Elizabeth knew she had to listen up right now as she heard "Elizabeth Brown and Spike Days in room #3" ... Now thinking back she had heard that name before from somewhere, but clearly they didn't know each other, she looked around it clearly wasn't Chinese girl next to her, though she wished it was, since she looked pretty friendly, but then who else could it be?
She continued to hesitate and tries to find her way around, looking for her roommate, but she wasn't sure who Spike was anyways, so she decided it would probably be a good idea to look around the house and then find her room, hopefully by then her roommate will be there.
She decided it would be a good idea to look around in the dining room and then the library. The library seemed to have a big collection; it would be a good idea to drop by to do some reading sometime but right now she looked at the clock pretty much everyone was no longer left in the living room, so it should be a good time to go to her room.
As she walked down the hall, she looked at the numbers on the door until she reach the one marked #3, right it here…and she is ready for whatever is to come inside. She pretty much plotted out what she was going to do; she is just going to walk in there and introduce herself like what she always does.

Fen was too deep in her thoughts to hear someone come into the room but felt as if she had a pair of eyes on her. It was only when Isis spoke that she finally opened her dark brown eyes, turning her head to look over at her. Tilting her head Fen smiled brightly at the girl and at the same time she stood up, feeling frankly quite embarrassed. Oh now I look weird, great she thought, mentally slapping herself on the head.

“Um, hello, You must be my roommate, Fen. My name is Isis. It’s nice to meet you.”

"Yup, that is I," she bowed slightly. Even though it wasn't a tradition that was carried out especially within the younger communities but as someone who had a traditional upbringing a lot of the things she was taught stemmed out from ancient China.

Since she was so excited about meeting different species and learning about them, Fen had to bite her tongue from spewing out nosy questions which could have been seen as rude. Seeing as she was tagged 'clumsy with her words' it wasn't surprising that she didn't have a good filter system in her head. Realizing that she was simply just stood there yet again in deep thought, she coughed quietly and ushered Isis to come inside further.

"Oh I hope you don't mind but I took the bed nearest to the window, sunlight is a part of my diet so..." Fen babbled, pulling on her earrings.

“No, it’s fine. I don’t mind at all,” Isis replied, tucking dark locks behind her ear as she placed her bags at the foot of her new bed.

It was something she was simply terrible at, small talk. Back at home she never had to seeing as everyone knew everyone plus Fen had no idea what Isis was or how she should talk, should she be speaking formally? Surely not. Her eyes quickly scanned her new roommate from head to toe trying to figure out how old she was. Come on Fen of course you're older, she should be formal to me....but we're not in China anymore so act normal.

"Right well I suppose we should get our self more acquainted seeing as we'll be roommates and all, I'm Fen Zhang from China, a Hsien." She informed whilst making her way to her bed where she took a seat hoping Isis would do the same. It would take her some time to adjust though getting a friend or two early on would certainly help and anyway Fen assumed that Isis would be a good start seeing as she seemed friendly enough although time would tell.

Isis made her way towards her own bed and sat down on the mattress, facing her roommate with that friendly grin on her face. Her green eyes widened with interest as she was told Fen’s species. “I've read about your species. ‘Feathered Folk’ I think the book said. I’m just an emissary from Egypt. I can’t turn into a majestic creature, but I can brew a decent cough medicine.”

Fen laughed waving her hand as if to dismiss the idea of Isis being just an emissary. "I highly doubt it, I've done my reading though it's hard to find good books about anything related to other species," she rolled her eyes, sighing gently "our community is dead set on segregation so I hope you'll let me know about, well everything!" Her enthusiasm wasn't held back this time but rather Fen was too excited to hold it in.

"Plus the whole turning into a majestic creature isn't all that amazing as it sounds, it takes a great source of power and we have to be one with nature to actually transform so not many of us youngsters have been able to convert fully though partially yes." But secretly Fen had gone through the transformation surprisingly quite early on but only her grandfather knew about it seeing as he witnessed it but promised her to keep it a secret 'just in case.'

"But from what I have read you're based around nature as well so this is simply perfect!"She spoke happily crossing her legs as she did. "What's Egypt like? Fen asked curiously, of course reading about the country and actually hearing about it from someone who lived there was two different things and if she was to make the best out of this experience then expanding her knowledge was necessary.

Isis grinned, tucking her brown legs underneath her as she grew more comfortable. “I am,” she nodded. “Emissaries use what nature has to offer to make a majority of our potions and perform spells. It’s what we thrive on.” It went without saying that Isis liked Fen so far. She had been afraid that her roommate would be bitchy or racist or worse, but Fen seemed to be a really good person. She had hit the jackpot! When asked about her home a warm smile stretched across her face. She missed it already and it hasn't been an entire day yet. “Egypt is home,” she stated simply. “I know it’s not the answer you were looking for, but that’s the best way I can explain it since it’s the place I've lived all my life. It’s just home. The city is huge, the lights are bright, and the people are busy, but overall it’s beautiful. What about you? I’m anxious to know what you think of China.”

While Isis was answering her questions Fen made mental notes. It was so interesting how both of them were nature based but it was used differently though to some extent they had their similarities. "Oh I see it must take a lot of practice to get things right no?" Making potions and performing spells was something Fen wanted to do now though of course it wasn't within her power to, perhaps just learning about it may quench her thirst.

"Hsien' are also nature based, we need it really to keep our immortality so the minerals from the soil or sunlight from the sun helps us, much like plants,"She chuckled at the thought, "But rather than perform spells, it's more like we can aid Mother Nature like the T'ien Hsien are celestial immortals who have quite a lot of power and control for things like the weather, though of course it depends on how balanced you with nature." It was only when Fen was explaining that she realized how difficult it was so she hoped she made sense.

Egypt sounded amazing and also she could obviously see Isis' love for her home by her smile. Even now thinking back to her home in Shanghai, she couldn't help but have bittersweet feelings because she missed it greatly though it didn't seem anyone would miss her. Going against her father and the elders had their consequences which was why Fen just had to suck it up and enjoy herself.

"China is different from well I believe here from what I'm assuming, though I live in Shanghai which is city based but a lot of the time I live with my grandmother who's in a village not that far."She smiled sadly, her grandmother was the only one who supported her decision to go to America so it meant a lot to her. "It's busy all the time, everyone is a bit of a workaholic so the traffic is dreadful but it's really pretty at night with all the lights though the people are quite strict."

“It doesn't sound much different from Cairo really,” Isis said. “I guess all big cities are the same to a degree.” Isis ran her fingers through her dark locks. She spotted that smile, noting the sadness plaguing her pretty face. She tried to lighten the mood. “Want to see some magic?”

Fen immediately grinned widely at the suggestion. ”Really?” she questioned.

“Yeah,” Isis beamed, feeling quite good about herself from seeing the happiness return to her roommate’s kind eyes. “Watch this.” She closed her eyes, shifting onto her knees and sitting back on the heels of her feet as she channeled her abilities. She could feel the warmth of it swirling and crashing like waves in the pit of her stomach. The windows burst open as Isis took a deep cleansing breath. A gust of wind swirled around her, lifting her hair and making her smile in the process. When her eyes opened they were stark white, her green irises nowhere to be seen as she willed the breeze towards Fen, shifting it to playfully flow through her black locks and caress her skin gently. With another breath, she willed the breeze out of the room, shutting the window behind it. Isis blinked, her green irises slowly reappearing and making her look less intimidating.

While witnessing what Fen imagined to be an amazing example of a raw connection with nature, she noticed Isis' eyes to be stark white which she found quite cool. She watched the gust of wind swirl around Isis before coming to her, flowing through her hair and instinctively she took a deep breath as her own skin was now covered in goose bumps, a natural reaction to a creature like herself.

Before long the breeze slipped out of the room being ever so kind in shutting the window behind.
"That was amazing Isis, I wanted to greedily soak up all that wonderful energy up from the breeze!" she exclaimed rather loudly due to happiness.

“I’m glad you liked it,” Isis grinned. “If you ever need more breeze energy I’m willing to help.”

Fen found both the suggestion and the act as a symbol of friendship because not anyone would show their raw self without feeling comfortable with the person or at least had an emotional reaction. Standing up she held up a finger suggesting to wait for a minute, she wondered where she'd put the packet of seeds that she got from a shop in the airport.
The bagshe finally thought taking out her small backpack and opening the right side pocket where she grabbed the packet that was filled with Arborvitae seeds. Returning back onto the bed she ripped the top open and picked out a seed, leaving the packet besides her before placing that very seed onto the palm of her hand.

Closing her eyes Fen took a small breath in and focused on her body which was rich in nutrients that would be taken in automatically from the soil on the ground to the sun, all which were the necessities for a plant to grow. Her skin began to almost glow as little unnoticeable particles seemed to seep out of it and into the seed that was now glowing.
In a matter of minutes the seed as if it was in soil absorbing the sun was growing in Fen's hand to a natural full grown flower. Slowly calming her body and disconnecting the contact she had made with the seed now turned flower she reopened her eyes and handed over the flower to Isis. Her skin returned back to normal but her eyes seemed diluted by the sudden task.

That grin morphed into a curious smile as Fen reached into her bag and pulled out a packet of seeds. Watching intently, Isis witnessed one of the most beautiful displays of magic that she’s ever seen. She took the flower gratefully, studying it with interest in her bright eyes. It was absolutely amazing and she was so glad that Fen decided to share this moment with her.

Smiling happily Fen motioned towards their bedroom door, "Should we go check out everyone else?

Isis only looked up when Fen suggested that they meet the other people in the house. Truth be told, she had already forgotten everyone else. Placing the flower into her hair, Isis stood up and straightened her sundress. “After you.”

Fen nodded as she made her way out of their door where she and Isis both walked downstairs in search for the other residents.

As Fen walked alongside her newly made friend Isis, she wondered whether the rest of the cast mates would be as friendly as Isis was. Classed as being pretty lucky for getting a sweet roommate the thought of potentially being around big personalities who were all different species made her both curious and anxious. Being here was in a way to do with gaining knowledge that she would have never been able to get otherwise. China was huge on segregation so there was limited books she could read that described other species apart from Hsien.

Her stomach grumbled quite loudly causing her to laugh quietly to conceal the embarrassment. She hadn't eaten anything since yesterday afternoon due to the nerves, plus having dinner with her father would have been terribly awkward and she'd only be hurt more.

"I'm just going to pop into the kitchen to see what I can find. she explained to Isis. With that she waved goodbye and made her way to the kitchen after what seemed like an hour of simply getting lost.

Whistling to herself she walked in, unaware of the other individual in the kitchen aside from her. Fen shouldn't have been surprised by the beautiful architecture seeing as it was obvious that the whole house was stunning but while she released a sigh of disbelief her eyes scanned the area. This all must have been quite expensive she thought, biting her lip as she took a further step forward.

It wasn't until she smelled one of her favourite Chinese tea that Fen came upon the realization that perhaps someone else was in the room with her. Since she had just been standing there without much of a noise, the presence of another being wasn't really recognized due to Fen focusing on the kitchen exterior. But now she felt her ears becoming warm like they did when she felt put on the spot plus leaving a good first impression was key in making friends or at least getting along with others.

Looking at brown haired woman who was sipping on her tea, she couldn't help but feel slightly intimidated as she recognized her to be Eleniel, a veteran from the first season with a strong personality that she herself had seen while watching the show. From up close Eleniel really was quite beautiful and the thought of pissing her off was something Fen would rather not do, after all making an enemy wasn't on her 'to-do' list during her time on the show.

"Um, hi...nice to meet you." The young Hsien finally said, smiling warmly.

{In collaboration with the amazing Emmie_Hoeller}

Jericho found himself staring at the several cameramen for quite a few minutes. It was almost as if he were trying to decide how he was really going to cope with being filmed like this. He couldn’t dwell much longer on the thought, knowing he’d find some clever way to stress himself out.

Rolling his shoulders back, Eleniel caught his eye. She barely looked at Jericho, but it was enough to draw him towards her. What else was there to do around here? It was better than being locked up with Spazzy, that was for sure. The Basilisk tailed silently and unhurriedly behind her, but only after she had fully left his field of vision. When he had caught up, she had already begun brewing herself some of tea. Eleniel was taller in person, but examining her fully, Jericho could now see she was wearing heels. He pulled up a stool, and lazily leaned against the counter. Perhaps this was the best place for his first scene, or rather their first scene.

”Are you going to make me a cup?” Jericho asked, letting his gaze trail down her full height in a faintly provocative way.

Eleniel was still drinking from her warm cup when she spotted Jericho coming closer. She simply starred at the newbie as he leaned casually on the counter. Refusing to acknowledge him she continued to drink her tea, until he began speaking. As soon as she saw Jericho's gaze on her as she did similarly before, she rose an eyebrow and gave him a sharp look not being particularly fond of being checked out. Shortly after, Eleniel heard footsteps approaching behind, it wasn't until she spotted one of the female newbies that Eleniel let out another sigh. She listened as Fen spoke with a smile but responded with a simple short and straight to the point response towards both newbies who clearly mistook her by someone willing to play along.

"If you're trying to make a new friend, you are clearly looking for the wrong monster." She said nonchalantly before she threatened both with her fire drake eyes, her eyes turned green with an iris the color of blood similar to a burning fire. Eleniel wasn't there to make any friends or allies this time around, hell she didn't even know why she was there in the first place. She slowly poured herself more tea before she turned her gaze back at both newbies hoping they'd take a hint.

”Who said I wanted to be friends?” Jericho eyed her further. Almost testing the waters, curious as to see how far he could go and what Miss Eleniel would do next. Not soon after the Basilisk had spoken, another young lady had come around to join them. Jericho, placed where he was, probably wasn’t seen immediately, and that explained why this girl had only greeted Elleh, but Jericho still took on his faux offense.

“What so I don’t exist anymore?” Cocking his head, he looked over at Fen with a wrinkled nose. He crossed his legs and propped his head up with an arm, looking over the Hsien with what could have be disinterest. All of his looks fell to be ambiguous, but it really depended on how you viewed him.

Eleniel made a disapproving sound as Jericho responded to her obvious rejection. All she wanted was to enjoy her cup of hot tea, quietly and calmly before the cameras started rolling but all that had clearly gone out the window. "Good-..." she said shortly and straight to the point before she took another sip and starred at the remaining dark liquid on her cup, "-that ought to save you some disappointment later on." She paused for a few seconds before she starred at the Hsien who stood not too far away. "The same goes to you." Eleniel said not beating herself around the bushes and with a sharp tongue.

"If you're trying to make a new friend, you are clearly looking for the wrong monster."

Tilting her head at the Eleniel's remark Fen wondered whether she should stop trying so hard in order to make friends, after all not everyone will want to be one but perhaps it was her determined nature that felt somewhat challenged by the comment.

"Well I'm not really looking for a monster per se..." she trailed off, shrugging slightly. It was clear that she herself didn't really know what to say in such a situation. Before she could speak again, another voice spoke causing Fen to be fairly surprised.

“What so I don’t exist anymore?”

Fen turned to see another individual and mentally slapped herself for being so ignorant. This time he was also a newbie much like herself but oddly she didn't find the thought as comforting as she assumed it would. She felt slightly out of place and yet the fact that her stomach was rumbling quietly to remind her of her hunger didn't help the situation either.

"Pardon my mistake but I didn't see you there." By the looks of it he didn't exactly seem concerned with her except it was hard to tell what he may have been thinking about as by simply looking at Jericho's face, he really didn't disclose any feelings.

Nodding ever so slightly at Eleniel's final words, Fen pointed out the tea that she was drinking without much of a thought. The lack of a filter in her mind made her thoughts into speech regardless of how rude it may sound. "Da Hong Pao, her rich Chinese accent was clear, "it's quite a famous tea back in China as well as prestigious so you'd probably offend some natives by drinking that." After a few seconds only then she realised how impolite the statement however the Hsien merely smiled whilst noticing that the show had probably commenced with the camera's rolling.

Even though she knew Eleniel was a Fire-drake because it was stated during the first season, the fact that she was unaware of what Jericho was made her bubble with curiosity because obviously you can't just tell what species of monster an individual is by looking at their face or even their personality. Yes perhaps seeing them in action would help but currently that would be asking for just a bit too much really.

Eleniel remained still, without doing as much as glancing either one of the newbies. Even when the seemingly friendly newcomer responded to her thread, Eleniel kept her uninterested demeanor and still leaned against the counter with her cup on her right hand. She paid no mind to the words that were shared between Fen and Jericho, almost feeling motivated to leave the scene just so she could be alone. It wasn't until the daring newbie addressed her again recognizing her tea that her interest was somewhat ignited. That was until she explained that drinking such a tea was mostly considered offensive on her hometown. Elleh cannot help but to allow a smile curve up her lip, knowing the cameras had just begun rolling and recording their ever move.

"Is that so?" Eleniel scoffs before she takes another sip whilst showing a crooked smile.

Fen blinked as she watched Eleniel carefully, her behaviour it was hardly surprising after all Fen had observed her quite closely while watching the previous season, quite interested in her character as well has large personality. In some cases Fen actually found Eleniel one of her favourites but in her current situation it seemed as if friendship was in this case was out of the question.

She nodded her head at Eleniel's respond, "It's true but to be honest I find it quite nice that you like the tea...the elders hate everything and anyone that are outside our community so it's not a big thing," she quickly looked over at Jericho before returning her gaze back at Eleniel.

The Hsien girl was quite naive, hardly picking up on challenges or mean comments though that was probably more to do with the fact that she kept with looking at the good in people. After all as the situation worsened back home a lot of her own people turn quite ugly in character causing Fen's loyal nature to come through even stronger.

Jericho leaned over further than before as the girls conversed, as if he was in a boring class working on a boring sheet covering a boring topic... He watched the two ladies for several moments in utter silence. With the roll of his eyes, his stare shifted towards other views. He examined the grand kitchen, marble counter tops and finely finished cabinets, and pair of lovely ladies to match. It reminded him much of the loft back in England, except this was much larger and surely excluding at least one women. If only Jericho could successfully cook up anything more than burned toast.

With the flutter of his lashes, it was only a matter of time before the Basilisk met eyes with the Fire-Drake once more. He drug his thumb down his bottom lip idly, as if scheming up a plan of some unknown kind and of some unknown origin, or maybe it was totally obvious what he was thinking. He gave her another frustratingly drawn out wink, marveling as to if he could manipulate her into leaving or doing something - anything exciting. Jericho then glance back and gave Fen a sweet smile as if falsely intrigued by what she had to say.

Eleniel was not surprised at Fen’s explanation of the elders beliefs, she imagined the Fire Drakes were not the only ones who were against change and disliked outsiders, at the same time they also believed that segregation was their best option. The truth was Eleniel was one of the few Urulóki who wanted segregation to cease to exist, yet her motives had but one purpose. All she wanted was to reach out for others of her kin seeing as they were close to becoming extinct.

The older monster nodded without showing any emotion, not that she was trying to sympathize with the newbie but more like letting her know she understood her words. Eleniel gazed at Fen for a couple of seconds before she turned her eyes back onto Jericho who had his eyes set right back on her. Shortly after, Jericho had the audacity to send Eleniel another wink her way. Elleh placed her cup on top of the counter before she gave him another death stare. If bad looks could kill, the young monster would have surely dropped cold on the floor.. Finally she snapped and quickly moved closer towards the obnoxious Basilisk. She leaned closer, keeping a few inches away from his ear before she whispered something that would surely go unnoticed by the cameras. ”Fuck off, asshole. Take a hint.” She said taking a pause before she took a step back and moved back to lean against the counter once more to take one last sip. As soon as the last drop of the luxurious tea fell on her lips she stormed outside of the kitchen. Before she took the one last step from the kitchen she turned back to warn the Basilisk once more. "Don't follow me." She threatened him hoping this time he'd listen to her words for his own sake. After all, she knew herself well enough to figure out he would not go unharmed for long.

Jericho paid no mind to Eleniel's anger, in fact his smile grew wider when she approached him this close. There was a certain fun that came with screwing with Elleh. She wasn't like other girls whom he could get as little as a blush out of, he could get Ms. Dragon-Lady riled up pretty easily. Jericho snickered quietly, watching the Urulóki storm away. "Seeya la'er sweetheart," he mumbled, his thought process already beginning to switch to some other subject.

He turned back to face Fen, sighing loudly, certainly a lot less bored than before. "I think she's lovely," he stated theatrically but equally as kind. The transition was prompt, the Basilisk shifting only to sit still for several moments, examining the Chinese girl before flatly saying, "Jericho." The way his accented distorted his name was unique. The "i" was particularly highlight, and Jericho couldn't help but find it fun to say. Yes, his voice might have lead one to believe he had little interest, but his expression plainly suggested she should go on about herself.

As Fen watched the two monsters in front of her, she realised that perhaps their personalities clashed and therefore caused annoyance especially to Eleniel. Though she didn't hear what Eleniel had said to Jericho, she simply assumed that it wasn't anything pleasant and let her eyes wander around the kitchen as she felt like she was intruding on a private conversation.

Before she knew it, Eleniel had walked out of the kitchen leaving her behind with Jericho. Although she felt herself becoming disappointed she kept her poker face. It was true to say that Fen didn't even get to know anything about Eleniel nor her species except the Hsien did discover something. If she were to learn anything, she'll most definitely have to become more closer to Eleniel which in itself would be a hard task.
As she looked back at Jericho Fen wondered whether he truly wanted to be here, however the look on his face never changed so it was hard to tell what he may be thinking about. "Well she has great taste in tea..."she answered, nodding ever so slightly as an acknowledgement.

Fen leaned against the creamy white wall since she had just come to the realization that she had been standing the whole time. "Fen, nice to meet you..."she trailed off smiling slightly. I wonder if it would be rude to ask him what species he is she thought but instead she went added "If you were wondering I'm a Hsien though you're pretty hard to read so I could be completely wrong."

Jericho grinned a toothy grin at the young - looking - girl. "I'm not declinin' the information."

Fen was a pretty girl, around average height, he thought. There was something very oddly endearing about her. Her accent was rather pleasing to hear, but he wouldn't go out of his way to give the compliment. Folding his hands in his lap, a smirk overtook Jericho's expression. "Fen's a lovely name." He continued to play. "Where ya from?" The Basilisk did consider getting up to make himself some tea, it had been a while since he'd actually had some, but he decided against it. He couldn't deny his curiosity, and doing something as simple as moving might distract him. It seemed like all the newbies were eager to meet their fellow monsters, so he'd fit in as many as he could now, while he still had his chance.

It caught Fen by surprised when Jericho grinned at her as it was probably the first time he had shown any sort of reaction. She had come to the kitchen with the task of finding something to eat but it seemed like her hunger had vanished though secretly she wondered what they may have for dinner and if they would all eat together like she was used to doing in.

The compliment was yet again out of the blue and she found him quite unpredictable which only increased her interest. "Thank you," she finally responded yet she realized that he didn't say what he was. Fen considered his name for a moment, as a child she was always interested in name meanings and would read countless amount of books to find out. "The name Jericho has meanings attached to the moon or a fragrance even in Arabic" she mumbled to herself, both their names meant fragrance which shocked her.

Fen became conscious of the fact that she was thinking too much and subconsciously pinched her left arm. "I'm from China and you're from...England?" She guessed by his accent hoping she wasn't wrong.

There is nothing quite as invigorating, at least in Aiden Young's mind, as knowing that the first shot the world will see of him is a glorious shot of his bare chest. Provided they don't edit it out. The cameras start to roll as Aiden makes his way inside, his bare chest readily displayed for any searching camera. His very recent 'fun' with Ewan has further buoyed his spirits and given his step that extra little 'pizzazz'. He smiles and grins to no one in particular as he struts through the lounge. This is the world he was born to conquer, with camera's locked on him he thrives in the spotlight.

Long legs carry him quickly up the stairs, however he slows as he reaches the landing, spying the camera at the end which is tracking his every movement. 'Don't make eye contact... pretend like the cameras are invisible...' Aiden knows the rules as well as anybody, but when has he ever followed the rules just because he was told to? As he approaches the camera Aiden throws his damp shirt on the ground. A wide grin takes root on his face and the man behind the camera is becoming visibly nervous as the young griffin approaches.

Stopping where the shot will be able to capture most of him Aiden stares straight into the camera lens.
"Good morning, good evening, and good night. A very hearty welcome to all my beautiful fans watching around the globe." He winks into the lens, ignoring the camera man's urgent miming actions to stop, "Thank you for tuning into the second season of Return to Reality, or, as I like to call it The Aiden Young Show. We have some wonderful surprises in store for you this season and I look forward to experiencing it all with you." Aiden likes his lips, a cheeky smile full of naughty promises playing across his face.

By this stage the camera man is having a frantic, whispered chat to one of the bigwigs and Aiden knows his one-on-one screen time with the audience will soon come to an end. So he decides to pull out the crowd pleaser. Hands on his waist, feet spaced slightly apart and his hips pushed forward towards the camera slightly, Aiden nods 'downstairs'. "In case you're wondering boys and girls, it's as big as it looks..."
His words are cut off by the camera man who has finally turned his device off. The crew member is obviously flustered, apparently he had not been prepared for the full Aiden effect. Aiden pats the man on the shoulder,
"Don't worry Carl, we can finish what we started tomorrow." With those last 'comforting' words Aiden turns into his room, leaving 'Carl' partially stunned behind him.

As soon as Aiden enters his room he sees that Eleniel has already laid claim to the furthest bed. The thought crosses his mind to move her things, but eventually what little commonsense he possesses talks him out of it. Instead he plonks himself on the unclaimed bed, crossing his legs at the ankles and cushioning his head against the headboard with his arms. The room isn't too shabby at all, not that Aiden expected any worse from the show's owners. Of course, the only thing the room is lacking in is entertainment. With Eleniel absent and no cameraman to terrorize - Aiden suspects the one on the landing would have followed him into the room - the room is unsurprisingly full.

With a sigh Aiden pushes himself off the bed, rolling onto and landing on the floor with cat-like grace. One of the many perks of being a griffin, he has balance to rival the top gymnast. Springing to his feet the young man quickly riffles through his small bag, finds an acceptable top and pulls it on. As much as he'd like to walk around topless all day, he also likes the warmth an extra layer provides. Back out of his room, past the camera minus Carl, down the stairs, through a series of rooms and into the kitchen.

Two people sit at the kitchen bench, Jericho and one of the other newbies. Aiden pays no mind to either monster, his mind is now on more important things: Food and alcohol. He opens the first pantry, eyes quickly scanning for anything that looks appetizing. Alas, this one seems overwhelmed with baking essentials. Aiden closes the pantry door with a loud thud before moving onto the second, which fares no better. Finally, after riffling through several more cupboards, a bag of chocolate chips is hanging between his teeth and a second bag of snacks is in one hand. With his free hand he proceeds to open to fridge door, gazing in for any signs of anything vaguely alcoholic.

"Bloody hell, who do I have to blow to get a drink around here?" He exclaims seeing naught that catches is attention, although the sentence is slightly mumbled by the bag between his teeth. Finally, he grabs a soda can with his free had before closing the fridge door and turning to stare at the other cast members. "Jer, other person." He nods to each as he greets them before, without another word, leaving.

The griffin navigates his way through the house to the room with the largest TV screen and best couches. Slumping into the couch Aiden let's his food fall beside him on the seat and places his soda within arm's reach. The remote too is not far and he flicks on the massive television, surfing through the channels until he's found something mindless to watch. However, it appears the show he has just tuned into is ending - the credits roll within a minute of him sitting down. Yet, the next television show to come on suits Aiden just fine, it's the first season of Return to Reality and as everyone knows, Aiden is always happy to see himself in action. So the griffin settles into the couch, prepared to spend the next hour of the episode congratulating himself for an excellent first season.

Jericho, invisibly delighted to surprise the lady, continued to sit patiently, allowing himself the time to observe her further. It was rather amazing how long Fen had stuck around. He had at least expected her to make some sort of gesture that could have meant she wanted to take off, yet he didn't catch any. A breeze flew past as several rushing camera men made their way by to catch what may have been happening. Ultimately paying no mind, the Basilisk had overheard her murmurs, his smile gradually fading. Letting it pass without any additional mention, the girl seemed to snap out of her trance.

"I'm from China and you're from...England?"

The thought to say he was from South Africa had definitely crossed Jericho's mind, it would have been a simple tease, but it was still too much effort for someone like him. "Yep." The English boy nodded only slightly, but sooner than later came a tall, curly haired Gryffin. Who, at first, had not acknowledged Jericho nor Fen, only to make an inappropriate remark, and then rummage around for what looked like snacks and alcohol. Jericho himself had barely kept track of Aiden, picking at his fingers as if was none of the Gryffin's business what he was talking about with his new friend. It was only when Aiden had finally addressed the two, that the Basilisk had lifted his head to preform a pleased, self-satisfied simper.

Fen nodded, glad that she got his origin right because let's face it she found it somewhat annoying when people thought Japanese, Chinese and Koreans looked the same. Just when she was about to open her mouth to say something, a fellow monster walked into the kitchen. Wondering whether to say anything to him she ended up remaining quiet. It was only when Aiden acknowledged them that she quickly gave her name as the idea of being called 'other person' didn't seem too charming. Fen watched as he finally left the kitchen, her focus returning back to Jericho.

"So, what made you want to come onto the show?" She questioned, small talk was really not her forte. However now that a few cameramen were around them she speculated whether anyone would feel comfortable with a camera in front of their face but then again everyone around the world were probably just curious, just like she was while watching season 1.

Giving a theatrically exasperated sigh, he let his head fall back on his shoulders. It seemed like June was popping into his life far too often, and he was sick of thinking about her. "My sister," he finally replied. Jericho hadn't wanted to remain on topic, but given his ironic humor, he couldn't help but make one last comment. "Though, it's very likely the only reason I got the part was because none of the other bottom feeders in our territory wanted anything to do with it." One of things that likely gave away Jericho's species - well, one thing that was really just noticeably creepy - was his ability to go without blinking for long periods of time. As far as he was concerned, this was normal. Blinking too quickly or as frequently as human might gives, off the vibe of inferiority where the water creatures rein, so even in the eyes of other species, the habit continued on.

It was sheerly out of politeness that Jericho favored to return the question with his subtle charm, snaking his hand into a front pocket, while staring emotionlessly at Fen. "I'm a Basilisk," he finally stated, rather unnervingly off-topic considering the current subject. Jericho could have smelled her curiousity from miles away, but really who wouldn't have been on a show like this.

Fen laughed quietly at Jericho's dramatic answer while she pulled her hair to one side. It seemed like family was also an issue to him though obviously the topic wasn't to remain longer. She raised an eyebrow almost questioning his statement towards his own species. Finally he had given away his identity, a Basilisk. She had read about his species though of course with only a small amount of books that was available to her.

"So, if I challenged you to a staring contest I'd most likely lose right?" She grinned cheekily.

Jericho smiled in return. "I wouldn't be one to know the strengths of a Hsien, but if you'd like to give it a shot, be my guest," he joked. The Basilisk got to his feet, stretching his arms out and yawning. There was a brief pause, as he got a bit closer, but really only to lean against the kitchen island. "What's the weather like in China?" Jericho finally asked, keeping his c. "Generally, what's it like in China?"

Fen shrugged casually, her grin widening in response to his statement. "I'm sure I could cheat my way into winning but then again so could you." After all she also didn't know that much about the Basilisks.

The topic of China made her briefly think about home and her close minded father, she even considered whether anyone back home would actually be watching the show, though it was highly doubtful. "China's weather is something of a bother, it's usually too hot or humid and hardly ever cold and chilly because the winters are so short...we have these 3 cities nicknamed 'the three furnaces' which I tend to stay away from."Even though she should be used to the extreme warmth, Fen always like to go away to the mountains where at least the cold was somewhat apparent.

"China likes isolation, I mean I hardly know people who would want to go out of China if they had the chance so let's just say that I probably might not be welcomed back home." While she laughed because Fen disliked being so serious, the matter was probably true because even the elders had told her leaving would be like a sign of betrayal.
"And what about England? From what I've watched it seems to raining all the time, no?"

Rolling his eyes, Jericho nodded lazily. "Almost ten months out of the year," he replied. "Hardly any summer, and what is summer feels too hot because of what we're used to. Snow's rare too." Jericho liked the idea of some place warm -- warm for at least a full season. "China doesn't sound too bad." There was a part of him that almost didn't want to go back to England.

"Sounds great though, I'd love to get away from all the dreadful heat!"Her eyes gazed upon the cameramen for only a few seconds out of mere curiosity. Most people who'd watch the show would be watching for the fights or dramatic moments, not the basic interactions or getting to know stages.

"If we could swap then I'm sure you'd find living in China a pain, all the customs and traditions not to mention we are all very formal people!"

"Sounds like a plan," Jericho met her gaze, a faint half smile lingering along his lips. He marveled the idea of living someplace dry, even if it might as well been only a pipe dream. It seemed like this was his best chance to go unpack, he'd already met four people and that seemed like enough to start off the show -- in his head anyway.

Jericho shifted, and his smile grew to a warm, artificial grin. "I think that's my queue." The Basilisk said, referring to pretty much nothing at this point, other than the silence and absence of footsteps that leaked into the large kitchen. "It was a true pleasure to meet you, Miss Fen." Standing straight, Jericho easily rounded the island to place himself like a chess piece in front of the Hsien. The thought of kissing her hand had clearly crossed his mind, the phone calls of fury from his sister when something like that shows up on her television. His grin was fueled further by the idea, but instead, he offered a handshake with that clever look of deception plastered across his pale face.

Fen smiled warmly, quite surprised by the Basilisk and how well the conversation had gone. "And you too Mr. Jericho." She spoke playfully. It was obvious by her relaxed posture and cheerful manner that she was now used to him and therefore was more inclined to be feel comfortable. The Hsien accepted the handshake, "Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a sign of a peaceful future in this show regarding us," Fen added as a side note.

"That's one word for you."

ONE WEEK LATER
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

The Isles of Sicily; one of the few territories in Ellium that isn't plagued by oppressive segregation. Populated by non-magic humans, it is a nesting ground for equality, adorned with beautiful beaches, rolling hillsides, and floral plains. Consortio Manor lays nestled on a mountainside, overlooking a beach that has been closed off for the use of the cast members. After a week of filming, Claude decides that you and your fellow cast mates deserve a bit of a break while they edit the first episode. Turns out this "breaks" doesn't translate the same to you as it does him. Instead of being free from the cameras in their entirety, Claude limits the amount of cameramen to two instead of the ten they have readily available. Gathering your bathing clothes, you and your cast mates set out to the beach for a day in the sun.

Crashing against the shore, small waves wash the night's debris onto the land. Untouched golden sand covers the floor as far as your eyes can see. Soothing, a gentle sea breeze rustles through your hair. Abandoned, nothing there apart from a few sea gulls pecking at the rubbish left by yesterday's visitors. The blazing sun beats down on the smooth, weathered rocks of the cliff side. The crisp seaweed pushed onto the rocks by the waves, lay baking at the sea's edge, occasionally moving with the tide. The clear blue sea's waves rattle the tiny pebbles embedded in the golden sand. The foam from the waves cover a small child's forgotten sandcastle, bringing it down with a dull crash. Closing off the edge of the beach is a cave, the entrance hidden from view, punctuating the extensive length of the shore side. Islanders mingle and gather far off in the distance, their presence inaudible even to the the creatures they're so far off.

Here marks the next week of filming Return to Reality. What impression will you make?

Fen smiled happily as she felt her skin absorb the sunlight, instantly the change in her skin was different as if it was glowing ever so slightly. She had settled around the rocky shore with her feet dipped into the water. Though on her lonesome Fen found that a little bit of quiet time was very much needed especially as she was reflecting on the week. Her journal lay on her lap as she finally finished her entry. Her eyes skimmed over her writing for only a few moments when Fen closed it.

As her gaze fell upon her surroundings she wondered if meeting the rest of the members would be a good idea. Although it was nice and peaceful being on her own, her inner extrovert seemed to want to go talk to someone. The breeze almost knocked of her cream hat if Fen didn't grab it before it could that is. The weather reminded her somewhat of back home except it was a lot more tame here which she preferred. From the corner of her eyes she spotted a cameraman not too far from her and almost wanted to tell him to find something more exciting rather than her simply sitting there. "I highly doubt anyone wants to see this," the Hsien mumbled under her breath.

After what seemed like a solid 15 minutes Fen stood up, brushing of the small sand grains from her shorts. Perhaps it was a good time to go find anyone who may also be alone. She put her journal in her small bag and instead pulled out her sunglasses, positioning them over her eyes to ensure she wouldn't be so terribly blinded by the sun. Fen also checked her iPhone for any messages and surprisingly one had arrived from a good friend of hers back home.

Fi-fi, just to let you know that the community is actually watching the show.
It is pretty shocking, though what's more shocking is the amount of cute guys.
Have fun, Yiun.

Holding in her laughter she rolled her eyes playfully, it was quite comforting to hear that at least she had a few friends still with her. Looking straight into the nearby camera, she gave a hint of a ghost smile although quite awkwardly as the thought of people back home watching it didn't seem all that good in her mind. Fen reminded herself to act fairly proper and not give her father any excuse to give her a lecture about how everything has changed her.

Dropping her phone into her bag she began to wonder around the beach, it would be a good time to see the surroundings as well as spot any of the other members. Perfect, like killing two birds with one stone...as morbid as that sounds.

Fen hummed quietly under her breath to one of her favourite songs as she walked further along the beach where she had finally spotted some cast members around, some in either groups of two or alone. Her gaze fell upon a female who seemed to be alone and Fen realized how she was one of the few members not yet to be fully introduced to.

Picking up the pace she found herself right beside the girl and with a smile she spoke, "Hello!"

Lost in her own world of quiet contemplation, Rose didn't notice the approach of the other housemate until a voice drew her attention. Turning, Rose found herself facing Fen, a smile on the other girl's face as she spoke. Rose felt her own face break into a smile too, happy to finally speak with one of the people she hadn't had a chance to greet yet.
"Hi there, you're Fen, right?" Rose replied. She really didn't need to ask, since she was certain that the Chinese girl was called Fen, but she thought it better to err on the side of caution rather than plow through and call her the wrong name.

With a pleased smile Fen nodded, ”And you must be Roisin if I recall correctly,”she exclaimed. Although Fen had a million questions floating around in her head like usual, the Hsien quickly bit her lip to stop herself from most likely embarrassing herself. ”How do you like beach?”She asked as she propped her sunglasses onto her head. Her hand rubbed against her forearm as small goose bumps emerged from the surface of her skin due to the overabundance of sunshine that her skin was absorbing producing a slight glow.

"It's gorgeous. We've got beaches in Ireland, but they're nothing like this." Rose admits, gazing around at the sandy dunes as she speaks. She gives a casual shrug before returning her attention to Fen, "So tell me, how has your first week gone? Has it been everything you thought it would be?" Rose was curious to hear another newbie's opinion.

"Sounds nice, I'd love to visit if I ever get the chance!" Fen smiled happily at the thought of getting the chance to travel regardless of whether it was possible or not. Tilting her head slightly to avoid the sun from blinding her she let out a silent sigh. "It's been pretty good so far considering I pumped myself up for the worst," Fen laughed quietly before continuing "and from the cast members I've met they all seem like pretty lovely individuals." Fen had thought that she may fall into some drama, mostly due to the fact that she believed not everyone would be so keen on being friends. However the past week had gone by without any issues and it was surprisingly quite fun.

"And what about you? Did the show live up to your expectations?"

"Absolutely." Rose replied with a nod, "I mean, it's different being on this side of the camera, rather than watching at home. But I can't say I haven't been enjoying it." Rose shrugs, she has been enjoying being the center of attention, or one of the centers of attention at least. As for the other house mates, Rose hadn't clashes with any yet either and, as Rose had mentioned, most of them were lovely people.

"'Sides, it's been interesting watching that happening." Rose adds, nodding down the beach to where Dracen and Aiden are just untangling themselves from the other. Rose quirks a smile at Fen, "Romance seems to be in the air." She remarks with dry humor.

Fen glanced towards the two lovebirds before returning her attention back to Rose. "I must admit they both make a pretty cute couple, though I highly doubt romance is in the air, well at least for the rest of us," she joked. "So do you have any particular interest towards anyone?" Fen asked playfully with curiosity.

Rose smiled as Fen jokes, nodding along. Then, as she's asked if there is anyone Rose has her eye on she gives a casual shrug, "Not really." She replied easily, "I'm more into humans." She added. Leanne Sidhe, after all, feed off their life while acting the muse. Rose had wondered before what would happen if she partnered with a longer-living monsters, but she'd not yet felt the urge to do so. She shrugged again, "Who knows. What about you?" She asked, quirking an eyebrow at the Chinese girl, "Any lover at home, or have you got your eye on someone here?"

"Oh I see that's interesting."She tilted her head ever so slightly in order to look at Rose more closely. It was certainly true that the girl was beautiful and she knew that the people back home would also be enticed. With a dramatic sigh Fen shook her head at the question. Having a relationship was something Fen had the tendency to forgot about as she was oblivious to anything related to love and her family still firmly believed upon arranged marriages so if anything she'd probably be introduced to someone. "Not really...but it's still quite early,"she smiled.

Rose dug her toes into the sand, enjoying the sensation as the tiny grains fall around her feet. "Dear old cupid usually strikes when you're not looking for it." Rose replied. Then she quirked her eyebrow, casting Fen a playful glance, "Or else you can go out and find love yourself." The last approach was usually Rose's preferred.

Rolling her eyes Fen shook her head, "What was that saying? Don't go running after love or something? The idea of finding love herself seemed quite daunting for her, especially since she hadn't experienced it yet properly even though she was quite old now. "Perhaps you should teach me the way of love, god I've lived for quite some time now and yet it doesn't seem to be registering in my head!"

"Let's see," Rose began, playing along with the idea of teaching Fen about love. "First you have to find someone you like. Then you've got to judge what kind of person they are and what they'll respond to. Some like you innocent and sweet, others want a vixen." Rose gave Fen an innocent smile, then a sultry wink as she visually helped emphasis her words. Her smile turns into a grin and she gives a shrug, "Although maybe that's simply how to seduce someone... love comes later."

Fen nudged Rose playfully, "My my Rose you know your stuff!" With a hand on her heart she pretended to be affected by her wink. "Now all I need is a target really, but I highly doubt I could be a vixen," Fen skimmed the area for potential lovers but no one really stood out much.

Rose chuckled to herself, finding that she was enjoying herself with Fen more than she had expected. Why hadn't she talked to the girl earlier? Rose flipped her hair behind her back, giving a shrug, "I've had years of refine my skills." She told her new friend, "That's all it is. All you need is some practise and you'll be collecting boys, or girls, in no time." Rose paused, before sending Fen another grin, "You can always practice on me if you like."

Fen felt her cheeks warm up at the comment and with a laugh she said "Oh I hardly think you're an easy target!" With a smile she leaned in ever so slightly and tucked a piece of Rose's red locks behind her ear. "A beautiful woman like you I'm sure wouldn't have any trouble finding herself a lover," Fen playfully added.

"That's very good. Compliments are the way to a woman's heart." Rose simpered, leaning in herself, "Then you add a lingering touch, a sultry expression, and you have them wrapped around your little finger." She added, letting her hand gently rest on Fen's while she demonstrated a 'sultry gaze'. She lingered for a moment before breaking contact and leaning back, offering Fen an impish wink.

Fen gave a slight nod, "but how do you know that I'm not being serious with you right now?" She smiled brightly at her friend while looking at the sparkling sea for a few moments. "I think the whole sultry thing will have to wait otherwise you'd be laughing at the plain stiffness of it all!" She winked jokingly to make her point.

With a friendly shrug Rose returned to her natural state, an easy smile playing across her face, "Sometimes 'sultry' is overrated." Rose said, "Anyway, the world doesn't solely revolve around romantic partners, although they are a lot of fun. Tell me a bit about yourself." Rose almost cringes at how cliched her request to Fen sounds. 'Tell me about yourself' sounds like it belongs in some hideous 80's movie.

"I suppose you're right about that," Fen laughed. She made a quiet humming noise while thinking of an answer to Rose's very open question. After a few moments she finally replied "right well I'm a Hsien also known as immortal feathered folk perhaps to some and I'm not actually allowed to be here so I suppose I'd be called somewhat of a traitor..." She chuckled, not wanting to drift the conversation to the serious side as of yet. "Sorry I'm not sure what to say at this point but I'd like to gain knowledge of, well everything really, our community is really close minded so my life has been quite sheltered," Fen added.

"Your turn now, tell me something...like I don't know, your favourite colour?"

Rose nodded along as Fen spoke, her curiosity rising as the girl remarked that she isn't actually allowed to be on the Reality Show. Rose makes a note to ask Fen about that later, for now the Hsien was inquiring about Rose. Rose contemplated Fen's question, she didn't really have a favourite colour. "I used to love green, and then I had a thing for pink... Now, I'd probably say blue, but it's a changing thing." Rose told her with a shrug, "Anyway, what else can I tell you...I'm a cancer and Irish, if you hadn't already guessed."

"That would make sense, I never found why people had a favourite colour in the first place to be honest." Fen smiled knowingly at the next statement. She could tell Rose was Irish, mostly due to her accent which Fen adored though without wanting to seem too childish she stopped herself from commenting on the accent...for later anyway. "Oh I'm a Pisces!" She exclaimed, wondering whether they the stars favored to two even though Fen wasn't too into Horoscopes.

"The fish and the crab, aye?" Rose commented. She didn't really follow star signs all that much, well apart from her own, and she couldn't have told you much about what they all meant. They were a borrowed idea after all, and not something that she had grown up. Rose's eyes caught the sight of people dispersing, some heading back up to the house while others took a last dip in the sea. Rose turned her own feet towards the softly breaking waves. "I might go dip my feet in before I head back." She said to Fen, "Want to join me?" Rose offered, although she really wouldn't be offended if Fen declined.

With a smile Fen nodded, dipping her feet one by one just to test the waters. She hadn't actually had a dip yet though was meaning to for a while now and seeing as she was presented with a nice opportunity to do so, how could she refuse? A few moments later Fen walked into the sea only to be pushed back against the current as she didn't realise how strong it was. Laughing to herself she glanced behind her to look over at Rose.

Rose followed after Fen, rolling the ends of her dress up with her hands to avoid it getting soaked by the sea. She stepped into the shallows, letting the tide gently wash against her ankles. She dug her feet into the sand, anchoring herself in the sand as she watched Fen laugh as the current fought to pull her out. "Don't get dragged out to sea, I really don't want to get my dress wet." Rose told her, a teasing smile playing on her face.

As Fen laughed at the comment she pushed her way through the resistance to go slightly further into the sea. "Oh come on, it's much more fun this way!" She turned around to face Rose and ushered her forward. Her dress was completely soaked but Fen felt very alive and excited.

Rose eventually gave in to Fen's ushering and took a few steps forward. She had been swimming earlier, she still wore her bikini under her dress, but for Rose the beach was much more a place to sunbathe and admire the young, tanned men and women that usually graced the sand. However, Fen's mood was catching and Rose had to admit that the other girl looked like she was having fun. So Rose set forth to meet her friend in the surf. She was almost there when a wave broke on her, completely saturating the redhead and ruining any attempt to keep her dress dry. Rose threw her hands in the air in the international symbol of 'I give up', just as another wave hit. This time it elicited a laugh from the Irish girl and, finally pushing through the water to reach Fen she said, "Happy now?"

Fen watched as Rose complied with her wishes and with a huge grin splashed some water in her direction. Although they hadn't gone too far, the water reached just above her shoulders and with a deep breath she pushed her entire body into the sea for only a few seconds before coming back up again. "I think we should grab something to eat soon before I starve!" Fen exclaimed brightly.
