Rise of the Bloody Hand

Rise of the Bloody Hand

0 INK

The Bloody Hand, a ruthless and bloodthirsty warlord, has taken half of eastern Keldun by storm. A scattered resistance has formed against him, but other factions still have their part to play.

2,512 readers have visited Rise of the Bloody Hand since Rakaneth created it.

Introduction

  • Falwyn Ademra, known as the Bloody Hand for his ruthlessness and brutality, sweeps across the land with his armies, taking the entire world by storm. What he cannot conquer, he destroys; leaving pain and suffering in his wake. There seems to be no force that can stand up to the might of his armies; a brilliant tactician, the rapacious warlord is said to be inspired by dark powers. A resistance has formed against him, but they are scattered, few, and desperate.
  • Archmage Ayren Bromista was rumoured to have researched a spell that would allow him to challenge the dragons that rule over all the world. On the day he cast that spell, New Coldain, the citadel that housed the order of scholars and mages that he founded, was destroyed, leaving behind only a large crater with an inky black liquid pooled within it. What has become of the archmage is unknown, but everyone else in the city lay dead in the streets, though no wounds mark them. This act has had far-reaching consequences across the lands of Keldun.
  • The Brotherhood of the Fang, a group of bandits rumoured to be as much beast as man, have been attacking agents of both the Bloody Hand and the dragons who rule as gods. Consequently, the roads passing near the Fang Wood are heavily patrolled and travellers are warned to bring a heavy guard. The Brotherhood seems reluctant to kill unless encountering either the Bloody Fingers (the name given to the men loyal to the Hand) or the Dragonspeakers (priests of the dragon-gods).
  • The Dvergar of Mithril Gate, an underground kingdom, seem to be profiting the most from the strife of the surface world. Having established a dominating presence in the world of trade and commerce, minting the coin of the realm and establishing trade standards, the Dvergar are probably the best off, all things considered. However, they are not without their own dark secrets, as things old and buried are surfacing with each dig into the ore-rich mountains of the Maw of Ataramakaris.

For more setting information, read the places, groups, and OOC threads. Any questions should be asked in the main OOC thread.
