Description

General Info

1)Full Name- Lady Kimadantes

2) Nicknames- Kima, Dante

3) Gender- Female

4) Species- Succubus/Fire Wraith

5) Age- Approx. 140 years old, very young for her kind

6) Title- Lady (a member of a prominent and infamous family)

7) Allegiance- Kimadante prefers to remain neutral, despite being a demon. She enjoys the company of men, though she holds no great love for the Nephilim

Appearance

1) Height- 5 feet, 7 inches

2) Weight- 135 lbs

3) Build- Sturdy, strong but not obviously muscular at a glance, solid

4) Eye Color- Usually emerald green, but when angered her eyes blaze golden-orange

5) Hair Color- Black hair, down to mid-back

6) Handedness- Right handed

7) Skin Color- Tanned/ light brown

8) Scars- A few small ones on her abdomen, one large one on her back going down her spine

9) Tattoos- No tattoos

10) Piercings- Both ears pierced, as well as a small nose piercing

Mentality

1) Sexual Preference- She prefers men, but when there are none, a woman will do just as nicely

2) Relationship- Single

3) Sanity- Relatively sane, though she does have a VERY short fuse when it comes to her temper, and enjoys playing with fire

4) Friends- A friendly demon, loves to socialize with humans and other of her kind

5) Likes- Men, parties, sex, alcohol, fire, flying, occasional cat-burglary

6) Dislikes- Nephilim, cold weather, rain, fighting when she doesn't have to

7) Hobbies- Seducing hapless males, exploring, setting things on fire, socializing

8) Personality- Generally sociable and friendly. An enormous flirt. Hostile to Nephilim, as she believes they are enemy to both demon AND angel-kind. Loves to spend time with her friends, and loves to gossip. Playful.

Equipment

1) Weapons- She is fond of her dagger, though she prefers to fight with fire

2) Combat Attire- Shoulder guards, chest guard, shin guards. Light enough that she can fly.

3) Accessories- Belt with her dagger, metal-tips for her talons

Fighting Style

1) Preferred Style- Prefers to fight with her fire. Prefers to be up in the air when she can be, though on the ground she is more likely to resort to her dagger for protection.

2) Hand-to-Hand- Adept in hand-to-hand combat. Prefers to fight in the air

3) Weapons Style- Rarely uses anything other than her dagger, though she does possess a bow and knows how to use it quite well.

4) Special Abilities- Flight: she has two rather large wings that allow her to fly. Fire: Being part Fire Wraith, she can both summon and control flames

History

1) Relationship Status- Kimadantes is determined to remain eternally single, enjoying the pursuit of both humans and demons. However, maybe it is just that she hasn't met the right person yet. As a member of a prominent clan, if she were to find a mate, it would be with a demon of similar social standing

2) Background- Kimadantes is a bit of a rebel in her family. She dislikes the war, and avoids fighting as much as is possible. Her father is a notorious Fire Wraith, while her mother is a Succubus of Royal Blood. She has three sister (Amalia is the oldest at 468, Terria is 274, and Arva is the youngest, 93) and two brothers (Ithrul and Nemis are twins, both 330). She is notorious for dabbling with humans, especially men, though she does often spend time with her own kind. At 140 years old, she is something of a teenager to the long-lived demon race. Although she is no friend to the Nephilim, she does not wish to incite further conflict. Though she feels the pressures of her family and of demon-kind, urging her to take an active role in the war, she ignores them, occasionally acting as a spy for her fellow demons as contribution.

Additional Information

Kimadantes does, on occasion, drink blood and, like all succubi, is infertile (I did some research, so I hope this is all accurate). Despite her diet, she does not particularly enjoy killing humans, and only does so when she needs to feed and no other food source (flesh of an animal such as a cow or other beast) is available.

So begins...

Earth. Not much remains, not after twenty years of war. True war. The War. Armageddon. The End Times, the apocalypse or whatever you choose to call it. But, down there on those tiny bits of land, there's still life. And where there's life, there's hope.

Kimadantes stared up at the sun, lazily twirling her hair between her fingers. This was so... Boring. Just sitting around, waiting. There was no one else in sight, save for a couple of rats and roaches that scurried along in the gutters and clambered up and down the fire escapes. Rolling over, she spotted one particularly ugly looking bug, and incinerated it with a breath of fire. Reduced to burning bugs for fun. By Lucifer, she was bored. Off in the distance she could see the remains of the Vatican, but she preferred not to go there. Too many crosses and not enough humans to eat or play with.

Gunfire, and close by. Kimadantes sat up, her tail twitching as she leaned forward. The sound had come from within the Vatican... Just perfect. Still, if there were humans about, that was a good thing. She was hungry, and rightly so. Good blood was difficult to come by, what with all the Nephilim wandering around. A low snarl broke free from within her chest at the thought. Those Nephilim creeped her out. Unnatural, that's what they were. Unfurling her wings she leapt into the air, gliding soundlessly, heading towards the largest building. She wasn't sure what it was called- humans were always coming up with silly names for things- but it had a large domed roof and seemed to be a perfect hiding place. If there were humans, she was sure the higher-ups wouldn't mind her eating just a couple. As much as they wanted information, she wanted blood more. Much to her dismay, when Kimadantes landed, she saw a young man with white hair and dark glasses. Everything about him screamed 'NOT HUMAN' and she sighed. Nephilim. Just her luck. And now that she had found them, she probably had to find out what they were doing her, seeing as the white-haired one had just killed a demon.

Keeping low and close to the rooftop, she crept forward, listening. The boy was talking, but then he went inside and she had to press her pointed ear to a window. There was someone else there, a female, and most likely a Nephilim as well. Perfect. Just perfect. Kimadantes huffed angrily, but crouched next to the window, peering inside. She really hoped that they wouldn't see her. She was harmless, really... But Nephilim tended to shoot first and ask questions later.

Jacob sighed as the roar of that damned rifle finally fell silent. "It just had to be a sniper, didn't it?" He asked, no one alive to hear his complaints. "First Angels catch my unit off-guard and kill my employer. Now I'm the only guy left out of my group." Sighing once more, he popped his head up and looked towards where the shots had been coming from, a large, domed building. He knew they were in there. All of the shots had come from there. Judging by the amount of pure destruction wrought, Jacob figured Nephilim. He caught sight of a Succubus hunched near one of the windows,, doing her best to remain unseen.

Jacob wasn't sure if he could call her a friendly face, but he was about to find out. Black, feathery wings unfurled from his back, and he quietly winged his way skyward, before turning towards the building, and gliding down, landing softly a bit behind the Succubus. He slowly approached the Demoness, unsure if she knew he was there or not.

"Nice day, isn't it?" Jacob asked.

She had been doing so well! Kimadantes had been listening at the window for a good ten minutes, trying to discern what was being said. Of course, just as she was SURE things were getting good, someone spoke behind her.

"Nice day, isn't it?" She whirled about, snarling and baring her fangs. A young man was watching her, a lax sort of smile on his face. He didn't seem to be drawing any sort of weapon... But her certainly wasn't human either. He didn't seem intimidated by her display of aggression, and she backed down a little, though she didn't drop her guard.

"Yes... I suppose it is." she said, glancing around quickly. He was a Nephilim, and if there was one, there were sure to be others. One hand wandered to the hilt of her dagger and she braced herself against the side of the window. If she was ambushed, her best chance would be to fly away, hide somewhere until they gave up the search. "What are you doing around here?"

Her display of aggression didn't faze Jake. He'd seen it enough to know that it didn't mean much. It was when there wasn't a display of aggression that he worried. He noticed her hand slide to the hilt of a weapon, and he backed away just a bit, raising his hands in a display of non-aggression.

"What are you doing around here?" She asked. Jake sighed. "Well, earlier, I was getting shot at by the Nephilim that are holed up inside this building. Now, I'm talking to you." He thought he recognized the Succubus in front of him, but he wasn't sure. He knew that they'd never met before, but she definitely seemed familiar.

"Anyways," he said, "You'll probably want to get out of here soon, unless you've got the Demons to handle the three regiments of Angels that my group barely managed to escape from." He looked in the direction he'd come, the rising sun blinding him. He was sure that the Angels were coming.

The name of the Succubus beside him finally registered in his mind. "I've heard about you, Kimadantes." He said. "Never had the pleasure of meeting you face to face, though. Name's Jake."

So, he knew who she was. That certainly wasn't a surprise. She had built up quite the reputation amongst the humans and the Nephilim- some of them even went so far as to call her a 'friendly demon'.

"The pleasure is all mine, Jake." she said, glancing to the East. "You were fighting with the Nephilim? I thought all of you were sort of a team." She looked down to the courtyard below, at the scattered corpses of demons. If he had been against the Nephilim, he must have been with them. "Well, if you were fighting with the demons, it probably isn't a good idea for you to stick around when your Angels arrive." She spread her wings, glancing regretfully at the window and the two Nephilim still inside the building. That was, potentially, an amazing source of information, but if there were Angels coming it was best that she leave.

"You coming, kid?" she asked as she took to the air. As much as she disliked the Nephilim, she knew that this boy could be a valuable source of information for her father. And a Nephilim fighting for her kind was a rare find indeed.

Jake followed Kimadantes into the sky, not wanting to stick around to fight against the Angels. "To answer your question," he said, "I follow the money." He chuckled at his own joke. "For Demons, that usually means that I have a favor that I can call in later. And despite my roots, I prefer the company of Demons. We think alike, most of the time."

He looked over to Kimadantes. "You've got quite the reputation, you know." He said. "A Succubus from a fairly high-ranking family, and yet you refuse to take an active part in this war." He smiled, and laughed a bit. "I suppose you're happy with the way you're living, though. And you do spy for the Demons."

Jake sighed. "You wouldn't happen to know anyone who's looking for a commander, would you? I'm currently unemployed."

(Repost for Hazel2468)

Kimadantes couldn't help but take a liking to the boy... even if he was Nephilim. And he was looking for a job... This could be an opportunity.

"My father might be looking for someone like you. I don't think he has any Nephilim in his command. But I warn you.... He can be quite fiery." she chuckled; she had made a joke. And a good one at that. "As for my reputation, I was unaware that even the Nephilim knew of me. Then again... My kind do love a good gossip." Kimadantes turned westward, away from the rising sun, and scanned the ground below for any sign of human life. Her hunger was getting to be a bit annoying by now- she needed food. Even a large animal would do at this point. And if the Angels really were coming, it would be best if she fed while she had the chance. "Uh, Jake? Do you know where I could find some food? You know... Like people?"

"Glad to hear that I won't be sitting around unemployed for too long. So long as pay's good and conditions are decent, I'm sure that any problems can be worked out." He smiled.
"And I'll admit that the only reason that I knew who you were was thanks to my time around Demons. Most of the time, they laugh at me when I tell them that I'll be leading them for a bit, or they try to kill me for being an Angel Nephilim." His smile widened. "A good thrashing or two later, they fall right back in line."

His stomach rumbled when Kimadantes mentioned food. "Now that you mention it, I guess I'm pretty hungry too." He looked to the horizon for a bit, wondering just how far they'd have to go to reach the nearest settlement. "Let's see... Just left ruins of Rome, traveling north along the coast by wing..." He sighed. "Nearest town wouldn't be for at least two days, and they aren't very fond of demons."

He looked to the water, where he managed to spot a school of fish swimming. "You ever had fish before?"

Kimadante's spirits fell when she heard the news about the town. She had really been craving some human blood, but at this point anything would do.

"You mean those scaly things that swim around in water? No." she said. They looked utterly unappetizing. "But if that's all that we have, I guess it'll have to do." She dipped down and landed on the beach. The sand was pebbly, and she laid back, looking up at the sun. Traveling with the son of an Angel... That was something she never thought she would do. Still, if he was interested in the cause of her kin, who was she to deny him the opportunity? And besides- one more on the fore meant that she could slip under the radar easily, and maybe even get out of these silly spying missions once in a while.

The boy had landed too, and was starting to make his way towards the water. Kimadantes sighed and followed him; she hated getting wet, so she kept her distance from the sea. Best to make the boy do most of the work, since he didn't seem to mind the water at all.

Jacob descended towards the beach, smiling. He liked fishing, at least, the way he did it. He didn't bother with rod and reel. That took too long, and the catch was insignificant. He'd learned this particular method from another Nephilim, and thought it was perfect. He touched down on the pebbles, and scanned the water again, relocating the fish and their depth. He smiled, drew his sword, and launched himself out over the ocean, his wings gliding him towards his target.

His sword flashed in the sun, and the fish below him scattered. However, the one quick strike that he'd made was all that he needed. He sheathed his sword, and gathered the three fish that his strike had managed to kill, and carried them back to the beach. He set them down on the pebbled ground, and sat. He removed the small, flat knife that sat in a hidden scabbard on his right boot's heel, and dragged it along the fish's body, removing the scales.

"Mind if I ask you a question?" He said. "Never really worked with Succubi or Incubi before, so I'm not really sure how it works. You just need life energy, right?"

Kimadantes was a little bit taken aback by the question. It was unusual for anyone to want the nitty-gritty on how her kind fed... Especially those of Angelic blood.

"Well... No. I mean, it is the life energy that we need, but succubi aren't like most other demons. We can't absorb human life energy just by touching them. My kind require the intake of blood... It's not something that I'm very proud of, but it's what I do to live." She fell silent, watching as Jacob continued to fix up the fish. "What little human food I've managed to get my hands on I've loved, but there isn't much of it around. It's not like I can walk into a settlement and ask for a steak. It's either kill or be killed." She felt a bit uncomfortable and glanced out over the water, scanning the horizon for any sign of the Angelic Legion that he had warned her about. If they came, she knew that she wouldn't stand a chance, and this boy might not either. "Of course, your blood isn't of any interest to me. You stink like an Angel." she said with a smirk.

Jacob had a good laugh at that one. "Hah! Just about every demon that I work with tells me the same thing." He smiled. "My dad always told me, 'Your mother was an Angel.' Wasn't till Dad was about to bite the bullet that he told me that he meant that one quite literally." Jacob shook his head. "Wings came in a bit later, white as snow. Bright, ugly color. Working around demons, they started to darken, ever so slowly."

Sighing, he set down the fish he'd finished de-scaling, and drew his sword. It was pretty badly beaten, with dulled edges and hairline cracks. He put his hand on the blade, and closed his eyes, concentrating on the cool steel under his hand.

He winced as the energy flowed out of his body and into his sword. The blade glowed slightly as the energy settled into the metal, repairing the blade and honing it back to its former edge. He lifted his hand, seeing stars as he opened his eyes. He groaned, and put a hand to his head. He waited for a moment, then picked up the recently de-scaled fish, and began fileting it with his knife.

Kimadantes leaned back on her elbows, watching as Jacob swiftly cleaned out the fish and impaled the white flesh on sticks. Did he intend for her to eat that raw? She reached for a rather large stick and tossed it onto the sand, igniting it with a quick breath. Jacob jumped, looking a little surprised, and Kimadantes grinned, showing pointed teeth.

"Well, I'm certainly not eating something that slimy without cooking it first." she said, leaning over and snatching one of the skewers. She leveled it over the flames and watched as it started to brown almost instantly. Jacob smirked and mimicked her, and for a few moments they sat in silence, cooking their fish. And then something disturbed the wind above them, and Kimadantes glanced up.

Large, with white wings and clad in golden armor. It was an Angel.

"Aw, Hell!" She cursed and grabbed Jacob's arm, pulling him back towards the shrubs that lined the beach.

Jacob watched as Kimadantes took one of the fillets, tossed it onto the ground, and roasted it. Jacob looked at her like she was crazy "Well, I'm certainly not eating something that slimy without cooking it first," she said with a smile.

Jacob rolled his eyes. "Next time, blast some driftwood and make a fire so that I can roast mine to. I don't mind sushi every now and then, but it gets ridiculously bland after a while." Sighing, he picked up one of the other fillets, and ate it quietly.

They remained like that for a while until Jacob felt the air around him shift subtly. He looked up, and swore. White wings, golden armor. it was an Angel. Kimadantes tried to drag him towards the shrubs past the beach, but Jacob wrenched his arm from her grip and dove for his sword and shield, scooping them out of the sand and equipping himself. At the same time, he scanned the horizon in all directions. Nothing. This angel was an advance scout. If he moved quickly...

His mind made up, Jacob's wings flared, and he pumped his wings down, shooting him up like a rocket. The Angel, stupidly enough, was looking everywhere but straight down. Jacob's sword flashed in the sun, drawing the Angel's gaze, but it was too late. Empowered steel tore through armor and flesh and bone alike. The sword's path took it through the waist, and out below the armpit, the Angel torn in half by the force of the strike. The two halves fell limply to the ocean below. Jacob scanned the horizon again from this altitude. There, on the horizon, in the direction they;d come from, was the glow of the Angel regiment. Jacob dove back down the the beach, and ran to Kimadantes. "We've got to go. Now."

Kimadantes swore when Jacob took down the Angel. She never would have had a shot in Hell against that thing, and he tore it apart like it was made of paper mache. She saw the light on the horizon at the same moment he did, and instantly spread her wings.

"We've got to go. Now." Jacob said. She nodded, drawing her dagger and snarling.

"I couldn't agree more." she said, leaping into the air. If they could just get a head start, could just get out of sight before the regiment showed up, they would be safe. "You do know what's going to happen if they find a demon and a Nephilim next to the corpse of their comrade, right?" Jacob smirked grimly, and the two of them shot away towards a thick layer of cloud. There were shots behind them- the Angels had seen. But it seemed that they had yet to notice their dead brother lying on the shore. The sight of a demon was enough reason for them to give chase. "What do we do now?" Kimadantes asked, turning to Jacob. Maybe he could get them out of this.
