Background/History:
Ellery inflicted terror on this world ever since she was born. As a child she'd scream and scream and drove her own mother to self harm at some point along the line, but it only got worst for Ellery's family.

By the age of three she'd smash and throw things in a rage if she didn't get her own way and she'd shout at you for hours but yes it gets even worse.

Aged five Ellery stood on a table and waved a knife at her mother over ice cream being too hard to scoop and then that was it like a switch Ellery became a perfect angel until she was six then she had a rage and ruined her family's home in yet another rage.

Aged seven she stabbed her brother. Ellery had been cutting her dinner and her brother threw a pea at her and yes it's shocking I know but she stabbed his hand with her steak knife driving it as deep as she possibly could and then Ellery's mother committed suicide and Ellery went to a mental hospital for five years.

When Ellery escaped she was angry for having wasted her life in that hospital and despite being thirteen she did it all. She drank, did drugs and stole anything she wanted and poor drunken old man couldn't stop her even if he was ever sober enough to go to the police for their little chats he was never sober enough to take action on the things Ellery did. Her brother tried and failed and little freak Ellery hasn't changed one little bit since.

So begins...

ELLERY
The first thing I noticed when I woke up was a horrible aching pain in the side of my neck. I groaned loudly running my tanned hand over my long thin neck trying to soothe the ache.

As my eyes started to come into focus I noticed something else. I wasn't alone. There must of been 15 other people here and I couldn't tell what state they were in really but most of them looked asleep.

My eyes flickered from left to right observing everything there was too take in. I sat straight and tried to see through the dusty air and darkness, it was useless. I could make out large outlines but that's it. I looked at the rectangle of light which revealed literally about a meter of the room. From what I could see it looked like a theatre but an old one at least, well I assume it's old by the dust and darkness.

The musky humid air caused me to choke with a ragged dry cough that stabbed my throat. Holy hell, I need a drink! she started to wonder if she was hung over but memories of falling asleep on a plane made that theory doubtable.

When I regained control of my coughing and breathing I began to wonder who the others were but with my eyes sore from strain I ended up closing them instead of searching for clues.

BLAKE PHOENIX
Blake woke up and shook his head. He had never felt this before but he knew this is what waking up from being unconscious felt like. He looked around him, he was in a cold, dank, dark room with many other people. So I'm not the only one. Blake told himself. he thought of this from the point of view of a possible higher power. since he had gained his "powers" he had quite a lot.

Blake could see his life changing. There were too many possibilities for him to choose one. Blake got up now fully regaining his vision. He could barely see, he could only see shapes. blake put his hand out as he stood up. A flame shot to life out of his hand and licked his fingers. Blake felt no burning. Maybe it was part of his power. Blake took a good look around in the flickering light of his flame. there were 15 people around. Blake reached to his hip, almost instantly a sheathe with a blood red sword appeared on his belt at his hip. Just in case he was in bad shape here. Blake found out this power when he once got angry at a video game, he reached out for a weapon to smash a nearby cardboard-box and the sword appeared. when Blake wanted it to go away it did. When blake was very worried or afraid armour would appear out of his skin. Scaled plate armor. Blake had no idea what was going on, but honestly, he liked it.

Blake began to worry and under his hoodie a layer of chainmail began to grow. On his legs some greaves sprouted and on his arms bracers.Blake then stripped his hoodie and pants off stripping into his boxers and undershirt. He let the armour grow and it surrounded him and made him feel safer. Blake's armor was done growing when another person awoke.

Blake saw it was a girl. But he kept quiet. he didn't want to scare her, a big man in a suit of armor wielding fire and a menacing blood red longsword. "Um... Hi." Blake said unsure of whether to attack, run, or do nothing.

ELLERY
Ellery felt a sudden surge of power bubbling in her veins. The hell? She could hear someone moving then realising they were changing quickly turned away. Why the hell would you change clothes right now with fifteen other people around.

She heard him talking and she assumed he was talking to her because as far as she could tell everyone else was asleep.

The urge to be chaotic and destructive stole her mind for a moment but she was too confused and just plain exhausted to act upon her desires.

"Hi." She said bluntly. She didn't care who this kid was at the moment she felt possessed she was so tired. She rubbed her temples with both hands trying to get her wits back about her.

STELLA DONVILLE

I woke up from my long sleep, groning. I hear faint talking in the back, from a female and a male. I rub my eyes to clear the sleep. I rolled over onto my side, and nuzzled a part of my face into the pillow, as if I wanted to go back into my nightmares. I had been having nightmares for the past few nights...

I rolled back onto my back, and slowly opened my eyes. Pulling myself up, I glance over at the brunette girl and blonde boy. The blonde boy appeared to be changing, so I slid my hand in front of my eyes to be polite, and yawned.

"Good morning." I said, trying to be nice and awake, but still had drowsiness lacing my voice.

I slipped out partly from under my blankets, showing an olive green tanktop and white stretchy short-shorts. I yawned once again, and pulled my hairbrush from off my bedside table. I began to run it though my silky blonde hair.

"3000 years ago. The old gods reigned with an iron fist. Basking in glory and power on their throwns in Olympia. But then came the war. A war which ended with the imprisonment of the old gods. Thrown into the pit they were. Left to live their immortal lives in agony for 3000 years. I have created you because a great change is about to occur and you must pick a side.

The Void smiled. It was obvious he already new the outcome of this "change" but he didnt give anything away. The future is blured to you.

"Look at you all." He said with pity.
"You are weak and don't understand the full magnitude of the powers you have."

Blake sighed. He knew exactly what this was about. "Let the humans fight. A war will only make me stronger." Blake said. He let himself slump down in a seat in the theatre. "Choose your sides, fight, do what you will. But remember at the end of the day the more people that die from a bullet or blade on the battlefield the more powerful I become." Blake said, he checked his hands nails dirt and cleaned then with his thumbs nail.

"If you really sought was was good for humanity you would stop them from fighting. Not be choosing sides and rising the body count." Blake said. His armor clinked as he rest one of his harms on one of the armrests then his head on his fist.

Blake sighed as the door began to rattle. He allowed the helmet to sprout back on his head. He Drew Misery, his longsword and as he put his left arm out a large kiteshield appeared on it. Blake took a stance by the door. He began thinking strategically. "I'll distract them. If any of you want to run, do it while they're trying to get at me." Blake said. "Any of you that are going to fight, get ready. Whomever or whatever is out there sounds like it's frantic to get in here." Blake said. "Don't attack unless you're sure they're hostile." Blake thought aloud. He could see all the other gods, some looked ready to kill. Others looked ready to piss themselves.

Blake watched the lock rattle and it finally broke...

I scrambled to the rest of the group. The moaning of the zombies, or whatever they are, grew louder and louder.

The lock began to rumble even more...

I ducked down, and slid my legs under the seats, and hid slightly.

"I have an idea!" I scream. "Due to the fact we are immortal, no air in the room won't affect us, right? I'll slow them down for sucking the oxygen out of the for a few seconds, just to weaken them. A few will pass out, and they will all generally weaken, whatever then are." I pause. "Keep the light on."

Allison hadn't had time to reply. It was all moving so fast, almost too fast. She had remembered Lucas' unanswered question. Had she been able to tell him, it'd have been a no, she was not alright, and a no, her abilities would not attack, only shield and heal.
Of course she hadn't said anything, she had just stood there, dumbfounded.
She wasn't brave like the others, she wasn't old enough or strong enough to handle herself. Her abilities were useless in this situation. Her pulse quickened, and she tried to calm down. She hadn't been prepared for this. What had the Void been thinking?!

Blake got up from where he was. his armor had protected him from serious injury. he did have a scrape on his thigh but nothing more. The bleeding had stopped almost instantly. Blake looked at everyone. "Well this is kind of embarrassing..." Blake then laughed. "Good idea with the oxygen Red." Blake told the redhead.

More noises came from outside. Blake looked around. he ran to the stage and took a vantage point seeing if there were any more ways out. there were none. "Wait.." Blake said. there was a big stone tablet on the stage that Raiden was at, kind of like a manhole. "Light found a way out! Everyone file in, there's too many. After we're out I'll burn the place down and they'll either get the point and bolt, or roast." Blake said, a sort of evily-happy smile was on his face, hidden by his helmet, he often got it when he talked about killing in battle. A murder out of battle was a crime, but fighting in a war and killing the enemy was very honourable.

"Quick! Let's go!" Blake yelled to the other gods. (He was so tempted to call out 'Come with me, if you want to live!')

Blake went through time seeming in slow motion. either that or his mind was working ten times faster than usual, his reflexes like lighting from the storm cloud that was his mind. He thought to himself side lunge club, chop off thumb, roll between legs severe spinal cord with backslash... Deflect club with shield, sever arm, stab in chest and tear through lungs. Jump under collapsing body dodging club, roll and cut off a foot, the beast topples, slit it's throat. Then there were two left. the both charged him at the same time. Blake cursed something in ancient greek. he meant to say 'shit!' but it came out as "krit!"

Blake bolted for the sewer. as he did so he extended his hand and shot a fire ball at the wall of the theatre. The walls caught fire and leaped into a beautiful and scary bouquet of orange, red, and yellow. As the building began to burn Blake fell down the sewer and landed in some crappy water. Blake breathed heavily. he looked at the other gods and his lust for drawing blood was too strong. blake wanted more blood, to spread more agony. He didn't physically hurt, but he hurt because his power was out of control. He wanted to kill the only other people in the world that were like him. It burned his soul... Alison approached him and touched his forehead. As she did so his blood lust was lost.

Blake breathe heavily for a few seconds and then he got on his feet. He looked at the other gods faces. "They're dead. I lit the place up and a few were in there. They're stuck and trying to get this place down on our heads. We need to go now!" Blake raised his voice so everyone could hear. "Sorry for that little scene." Blake said. He tore off his helmet once again as if ti were a piece of cloth on his face. he did the same with his shield. He had dropped Misery when he had dived into the sewer but it reappeared in the sheath on his hip.

Blake ran forward there was one way to his left, another to his right. Blake thought of the layout of the theatre above and he ran left. Away from the Theatre.

Lucas studied the inscription before wiping his glasses, “Not exactly a hard riddle to crack. Somehow the God Of Death opens this door.” He placed the glasses back on his face and looked towards Ellery. Lucas went and sat on a nearby stone wall. He wanted to get out of here, there so many questions that needed answering, for all of their sakes. Lucas was the greatest historian on Earth, he was literally time incarnate. Give him a library and a week and there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer, but down here he felt powerless. His base ability to slow time or speed it up around objects wasn’t much use against cave ins and doors. He leant back and sighed, he looked towards the crowd of Gods, the Ellery one gave a manic laugh. Lucas rolled his eyes and frowned.

A lot of these people were used to intimidating others, or giving them a sense of awe. They would receive neither from Lucas, as far as he was concerned, this was all just a distraction from the real work that needed doing. Lucas leaned back and thought about the inscription on the door some more, he thought back over his knowledge of ancient Greece when something rather...unsettling dawned on him.

“The underworld” he said quietly to himself at first, before standing back up and approaching the crowd. “Uh guys, hate to but in, but Loose all hope for those who enter here. Only Death can break the seal." Lucas pointed towards the door “I think that door is a gateway to the Underworld, I think that door leads to Hell...” He proclaimed to the others. “Which gives me an idea of where we are right now...but back to the point, Is opening that door wise?” he turned back to Ellery “If I remember the lore correctly our friend would here would be immensely more powerful in there.”

“I think that door is a gateway to the Underworld, I think that door leads to Hell...” spoke Lucas from the side. The team had just tried busting open a sealed door but unfortunately the magic seal was too strong. It would only open to death. Raiden swallowed a deep gulp and leaned against the wall. It was up to Ellery now, she was the goddess of death, and she was the only one that hasn't tried to open the door yet.

Raiden was taken by surprise when she let out a high and menacing laugh. The sound sent chills up Raiden's neck. There was certainly something off about this lady, something very evil, and if Lucas was right, it was about to get much worse after they descend into the underworld.

There was nothing left to do but wait and see.

Blake smirked at the door. He knew automatically what it was. Just the inscription said it all. Blake leaned against a wall and a rat scurried past him. Blake listened to Ellerey's laugh. "I like her." Blake said with a smirk. "Work your magic." Blake said. he looked at the door and smiled at it. "And I thought my mums house was hell..." Blake trailed off.

Blake's mum was extremely... cruel. he was barely even allowed to breathe without her saying so. Blake shuddered at the sight of her in his head. His father was almost the opposite, a true gentleman and diplomat. Blake couldn't even believe them talking to each other, let alone making and raising three children together.

blake snapped out of his little daze and looked at everyone again. He smiled at Ellery. "shall we?" he asked her guesturing towards the door.

"You," she gasped, staring up at him. How had she not noticed before? It was Noah. The same icy blue eyes, pale skin, and almost silvery blonde hair. It was like she had been hit in the chest, his greeting had winded her. It was as if she were there at the high school he had attended for one year as an exchange student, like she were there helping him with his algebra, like it was 2020 again.

She clenched her fist, turning on her heel, trying to avoid staring at him again. Of all the coincidences. Was this some sick joke? Before she could help it, she was blushing. He had always had that self-assuredness that drove her crazy.

"Hello, Noah. Funny seeing you here." She walked ahead of him, not wanting to see his stupid, heartbreakingly familiar face for a second longer. She entered Hell.

"Does this really seem like the best idea? Marching through hell's gates. At the very least we should expect a greeting party, if not a battalion of demons ready to protect this god forsaken land."

Lucas shook his head “On the contrary my dear fellow, any horde of demons in here should, theoretically, be literally a greeting party for Ellery here.” He said raising a hand towards her “They should be desperate to serve her.”

The bridge narrowed and the Gods were pushed into pairs. Lucas ended shuffling along next to the Stella girl. He turned to her, “So, Stella was it?” He looked up at the ceiling. “I’m curious, why were you so eager to fight up there? Are your aspects not quite peaceful?” Lucas scratched his chin “It just it turns out our most effective God, the one that has saved all our asses twice...” He gestured towards Allison. “Is the Goddess of Peace and has not committed any violence so far.” He looked back at Stella. “Perhaps it would be wise, to try and not get your hands dirty. It’s always a sad day when another person seeks violence.” Lucas sighed “It’s just a thought.”

The crowd ended up outside another large gate, Lucas rolled his eyes and looked at Ellery. He didn’t trust, not one bit. The crowd of Gods dispersed a little bit as they sat down or started talking,

“Looks like we’re taking a break.” Lucas said to himself, before collapsing to the floor. It was hot in here, Lucas did not like heat. He pulled a white handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed his forehead. “I would still kill for a cup of tea.”

Blake sighed as they reached the gate. "Funny. I know some people who would die to be in my position." Blake joked. He knew he would probably get no reaction but he couldn't help but crack a joke. Keep up morale. Blake sat down with a few other people. He let his armor subside into his skin and he was in a red tee-shirt and white shorts.

Blake sat with Ellery, Jasper, Alison, and Raiden. Blake laid back. "Funny. My entire Life I thought there was only one true god, and now, I know for a fact there are many. What I've been learning since I was two was a lie. But then again it's not like all their beliefs are false." Blake said. he looked at everyone. "Any of you former Christians too?" Blake asked. Blake sighed at his question. "But who do we worship now? Ourselves? the true gods? I mean we are literally Gods. We're supposed to lead entire religions..." Blake said in awe of himself and those around him now.

Asper stood near one of the groups that began chatting, he looked up at the massive gate, thinking to himself, "So this is Hades gate huh?" It was impressive, but he never cared for Greek religion, their Gods were notoriously flawed. "Any of you former Christians too?" The question didn't surprise Asper, not breaking his stare at the door he said, "No, I was never Christian." He looked away from the door and walked towards the group. Asper explained, "I practiced Norse Shamanism all my life, and one of my domains being the Astral, made me be able to easily access the Astral at a young age."

The girl, Ellery said pessimistically, "My parents spoke only ever of science...what bull that turned out to be." He looked at her saying, "I would not discount Science so quickly, just because the Greek Gods are real does not make everything else in the Universe false." He picked up a loose piece of rock from the bridge and held it in his hand for all of them to see.
"My domains are the Cosmos and the Astral, hence my abilities have a lot to do with natural scientific processes." He concentrated on the rock, feeling the atoms inside of it bound around, Asper could understand every detail of it, it seemed so natural to him.

Then he willed the atoms to change, transforming the seemingly normal rock to gold. He held it out for the group to see, "The Astral can be seen as the primordial beginning to most things, the physical universe we see now can not exist without the Astral. It is a mirrored plane of existence made up entirely of energy that most humans can not sense." He looked up at the rocks above them, wishing he had a view of the night sky, and went on to explain, "Dark Matter is estimated to make up 84% of the universe's mass and 23% of it's mass-energy, however what scientist don't know is that Dark Matter is a form of Astral energy. Hence why my abilities tie very closely together."

Asper thought of all his journeys through the Astral, and became reminded of his two loyal friends who always accompanied him. He closed his eyes and called to them through the Astral, summoning them. He opened his eyes again, this time shutting out what they saw and only taking in what his Third Eye saw. Two black ravens 'flew' through constantly fluxuating energy, landing on his shoulders. They existed only in the Astral, so they would not appear to the others. Asper wanted to test something though, if he was the God of the Astral, perhaps he could pull things out of it. He concentrated on the two ravens who greeted him warmly, willing them to become flesh, but to still have their Astral abilities. Sure enough with enough concentration and energy manipulation that gave Asper a headache. The two birds appeared in the Physical world, sitting upon his shoulders like they had always been there.

The Ravens knew what just happened, they were not simply birds, they were Divine creatures themselves. "These are Hugin and Munin, my familiars, and I expect they have existed much longer then the two led me on too believe." He grinned at the Ravens, speaking more to them then the other Gods around him.

Oddly enough, Noah woke up next to a still-sleeping Allison. It was hot, and it took a minute to remember where he was. Oh yeah, Hell's gates. Lava surrounded them, giving off an uncomfortable amount of heat and just enough light. An ornate black gate towered over him. It seemed as if even the shadows were moving.
He saw other gods and goddesses starting to wake, and he decided it'd be best to get Allison up. He whispered, shaking her shoulder, "Liebchen, get up. It's 6 in the morning." Allison woke up, and Noah backed away, not wanting to seem as creepy as he actually was acting.
He went over to the others, and yawned. For him, this was sleeping in. "What's for breakfast?"

Blake got up next to Ellery. He didn't know why everyone thought she was evil. She was the god of death, it was her job to take care of souls. She was the judge. Blake worked with her. He sends her souls through war, she keeps the death rate at a reasonable level so the battle is fair. And Blake didn't think she was half bad, she was a little crazy, he liked that. She wasn't too bad to look at either. Blake got up and he could see many were already awake debating what to have for breakfast. Blake grabbed his backpack which he had used as a pillow and he found four granny smith apples.

Blake snapped and a small hunting knife appeared in his hand. He used it to cut the apples into quarters and he gave one to everyone. Blake smiled."I'll be good for a few days on just this." he said eating his apple slice. "I had to survive at my mums on an apple a week." Blake remembered his mother and he shivered even though he was surrounded by lava he felt cold thinking of his mother. It seemed his mother was his harsh blood lust and killer half, his father his chivalrous and honourable half.

Blake handed Ellery her apple slice last. He sat down beside her and indicated for her to do the same. "People don't really understand you and I," Blake said smiling up at her, "we're condemned to biased. People think we're cruel. But then again who doesn't like spreading some fires and agony every once and a while?" Blake joked. He laughed. "At least now I can feel my sword cut through flesh and not be sad that I'm just a low life murderer." Blake said with a smirk.
