Grew up in New Orleans, her dad was a jazz musician until he died from a car accident. Her mom had abandoned them when she was three, so she was sent to live with her uptight aunt Mildred, who hates music, other than classical. they are always arguing.

Can play the double bass, her dad taught her, but she had to sell it to buy a new guitar and an amp. Her guitar is called Sol after Slash from Guns 'n' Roses
