Viktoria suddenly realised she'd been holding her breath for the last forty-five seconds whilst she waited for permission to go up to the office. When the receptionist turned around and nodded to her and opened the door, she didn't mean to barge through like a mad woman so much but her head was practically spinning and the feeling of nausea left her tasting a sickly metallic flavour in her mouth. She was given a quizzical and bizarre look from a passing member of staff but they didn't question her, she had a name around her, she could get away with it. She forgot to knock on Stefano's door, she just sort of rushed in, her black heels clicking slightly with every step and all her muscles were tensed in her arms and in her legs. She looked at Stefano slightly wide eyed and then realised how hysterical she was and so she took a breath before she opened her mouth to say anything at all. She rubbed off her skinny denim jeans, adjusted her smart blouse and blazer and took a breath.

"Right, okay. Okay. I can do this," She took another breath. "Stefano there is something we really need to talk about. Do you have time?" She asked running a hand through her hair which was one of her nervous habits, something Stefano could easily have picked up on in the short time they'd known each other.

"It's not about us Stefano and yes things ended badly but that wasn't all my fault," She muttered not appreciating the reminder and she winced at the thought of her father. She looked away from him at the ground, she couldn't manage a smile not even half of one. "I appreciate your condolences but I'd rather not to talk about him today. I need to tell you something and I need you to understand. Don't even ask me what we should do because I haven't the slightest clue where to even start. I don't even know how to tell you Stefano and I'm not even convinced if I can but I have to," She cut off her own ramblings, closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath trying to calm down.

She didn't mean to be so hysterical and freaked out, when she found out herself she'd been surprised but okay but the idea of telling him felt like it'd be more painful then labour at this very moment. Her lip was drawn into her mouth for a long moment of exaggerated tension then she sighed softly and finally managed to meet his eye, her deep blue ones meeting his.

"Stefano, I'm pregnant and before you ask, it is yours- it couldn't be anyone else's," She wanted to see his reaction but something kept her from looking and her gaze quickly fell back to the floor as if she'd done something or like a dog being disciplined. She just couldn't find her usual confidence to look up long enough to register anything on his face, any signs, any expression, any reactions she just couldn't bare to look.

Stefano looked at how nervous she was. Her beauty was still ravishing. And the only reason he made the reletionship end bad was because well he was the client's dad and his father would never have done that. And he shouldn't have either.

But this he couldn't help. She was here. And attractive. When she spoke. His jaws almost dropped. She was pregnant and he was the father.

He couldn't believe this. There was a baby inside her. But she was young. Was she ready to be a mom. He didn't know if he was even ready to be a dad. He looked at her and smiled. "I know where you live. Tonight I will come pick you up and take you out to dinner. Don't say no. We must talk about this. Give me the day to think about it. Really." He got up and walked over to her. Placing his hand on her back walking her to the door.

"Wear something pretty my dear."

----TIME SKIP TO THE EVENING------

Stefano had all day to think about it. And he knew only one solution. Marriage. He could give her it all. He loved her and this was their new life that they had been given. He knew that there were problems with the father.

He had a bit of a gambling issue from what he knew. So she maybe needed someone. She was beautiful and he did love her. He would just have to tell her that he needed to do it to get her father off his back.

He reserved them a very fancy spot for them to eat at a resteraunt she loved but was expensive.

With that he changed into outfit and went to her house with a knock at the door he smiled.

"Let's go to dinner Viktoria." They got to the resteraunt and sat down together. "How are you feeling my dear Viktoria."

Image[center][font=palatino linotype]Viktoria shrugged his hand off of her on her way out because it reminded her too much of what things were like before he cast her aside with next to no reason for it. "As always I see, you're leaving me no choice," She muttered stalking ahead with her knuckles glowing stark weight against her dark clutch bag.

-

Viktoria arrived with grace like she always did in a grey Bohemian style dress and with a beautiful gold cuff around her arm. She looked across the table from him and sighed gently as she looked up at him with large doe shaped eyes. "I'm not too sure how to answer that question if I'm to be honest," She sighed. "I think you're aware I'm not at my best," Her accent came across thicker than usual but it didn't shame her. Her Ukrainian heritage was something she took with pride, she loved Ukraine an would always be proud to voice her accent but right now, pride was the last thing on her mind. A waiter offered to pour her a glass of water and she gladly accepted with a kind smile baring in mind wine would be strictly off the table for the next nine months because she had no intention of not having her child. It'd be immoral in her own eyes. She didn't think she was ready but there was no way she'd abandon her own precious child, before or after birth.

She was a breath away from commenting on his so called 'mad love' for her and his apology, maybe question it, maybe accept it- truth be told she hadn't decided even thought about it and she stared at their interlock hands anxiously with an almost sad look in her eye but then the word abortion passed his lips she looked up in alarm like a deer in head lights and love confessions vaporised from her mind.

"No!" She blurted out a bit too suddenly and a bit too loudly, she looked embarrassed and tried to assemble herself. "I want one thing between us to be clear from the start Stefano, I will keep this baby- no matter how that makes you feel because morally, I have to and actually, I think I want to. I'm not ready for it under any means but I want to be a mother to the little boy or girl who's growing inside me," She explained a lot more quietly than her short out burst. "I need you to understand though, my feelings for you, right now- they're still delicate and complicated. I know you've just apologised but you just dropped me with next to no reason for it and it hurt Stefano, maybe you had your reasons but you didn't tell them to me," She admitted sipping from a glass of water, a waiter had poured for her kindly when they first arrived.

Stefano listened to her. "And I don't want you to kill it or give it away. And I want to help and be there."
He said looking at her. Taking a sip of his water that he also ordered because he was spending time with her he didn't want to upset her by drinking.

He had to ask sooner or later. He had the ring in a box in the back of his pants. He looked at her and smiled. "And I understand that you are mad at me still. I hate myself for how I ended things. And if I could go back I would. Believe me."

He looked down at the menu and smiled. He always loved pasta since he was a little boy and so it would be ravishing if he got to have some now which he planned on ordering. "How are you otherwise? Besides the baby? Anything fun?"

He planned on asking later. Yeah that was the plan.

She managed a light smile as she looked up at him, as mad as she was it was nice to hear he wanted to be there for their child, that he wanted to be a father- it really relieved her to hear that but she stopped herself from saying 'really' or anything else in case he changed his mind or threw in a 'but'.

"I know and I'm sorry but if we're going to do this parent thing, we need to be really honest with each other," She reminded quietly with a smile. She let that conversation pass and shrugged lightly at him. "Considering everything, I'm not too bad, stressed with trying to take over all my Dad's finances and the company but I'm settling and of course I'm having fun. I'm Viktoria Kostovo," She told him managing to slip slightly into her usual more chill personality when she finally allowed herself to stop freaking out. "How have you been?" She asked with very genuine interest.

Stefano listened as she spoke. "I know how ever you may feel I hope it won't upset my relationship with the kid."

He listened and looked at the menu once again. A shrimp cocktail would be nice but Pasta was all the rage for him and he was now determined he would have it.

Listening to her speak again. He looked up and smiled. "Nope can't forget that your Viktoria Kostovo. I am good thanks for asking. Running the buisness smooth and we have made 20% more profits then my father ever did. But we aren't here to talk buisness that way. We are here to celebrate! And eat!"

He watched as he flagged down a waitress. "Yes we are ready for dinner i believe. I would like a big bowl of pasta. With the cheese sauce and the garlic bread. And my very pretty lady friend will have.....?"

He asked looking at her.

"As long as you're good to my baby, your relationship will be fine," She responded calmly taking a long sip of her water calmly. Viktoria listened to him with a nod and smiled gently. "Well, that's fabulous," She told him genuinely running her finger tip over the edge of her glass absentmindedly as she listened to him.

Viktoria smiled kindly at the waitress and thoughtfully requested a dish of ratatouille which had always been one of her favourite meals and at the last minute caught herself politely asking for a sparkling apple soda. She had a slight craving for it but she wasn't pregnant, she used that as her excuse quiet gladly.

"Thank you!" She called after the waitress smiling chirpily.

Viktoria looked at him in shock, disbelief and a whole world of emotions suddenly flashed into her electric eyes. The silence hung in the air for a long moment as she tried to piece it all together. She was certain he was only asking because she was pregnant before that, he couldn't have cared less- he tossed her aside like a used dish cloth, that was exactly how she'd felt too, used. She didn't mean to be soundless for so long but she choked her on voice.

"I can't marry if it isn't for love and we're only here this evening together because I came to you and told you I'm pregnant. Otherwise you would have continued pretending you never knew me," She uttered, her expression filled with hurt.

"I just don't believe Stefano, that you are doing this out of love. If you were, maybe it'd be different but you're asking me because you think it's moral- aren't you?" She questioned and her eyes were now simply pools of sadness more than anything her spit fire attitude temporarily dead from her gaze as she stared back at him, staring right into his eyes searching for anything that might prove he cared and that it did mean something to him too but she couldn't read him. She never could even when they first met and now she felt sick like there was a bottomless pit in her stomach and she wasn't too sure why or where it had come from.

"I'm sorry, I really am because genuinely, a month ago I would have leapt blindly into your arms, I would have told my Father to stuff his formalities and what's professional but you couldn't do that which is why I can't do it now, but really I am so sorry," She uttered looking down at the floor biting her lip, regret, guilt, shame- it all flooded over her at once and she squeezed her eyes shut for a moment trying to block it all out and she sighed sipping at her water with a slightly miserable tone. "Would your rather I left?" She asked him, gazing through her thick bambi eyes. She hated that this was what had become out of their relationships, why couldn't it all have been easy? Why couldn't her Father had embraced the idea of his daughter finding love in one of her peers? Why did it all have to be so organised- and for what? The businesses but then again, the only reason the businesses mattered was because of money and status. That's what everything their parents did was for, money and status but Viktoria had to be different. She didn't want to live her life like that.

She smiled weakly at him and brushed a hand through her barely tamed blonde locks. She sighed biting her bottom lip. She couldn't help but to keep asking herself the same 'what if' questions inside her head but she didn't voice any out loud but she couldn't lie about appreciating how much Stefano seemed to be understand her decision.

"Thank you for understanding but Stefano, for old times sake, you should understand how much you mean to me and for that, I guess I'm willing to give you a chance. I'm not changing my mind about your proposal but I want to see you around again, for their sake too," She uttered softly putting her hand on her stomach pointedly before she moved to try her food and she had to admit, it was absolutely amazing.

"It's fine, then I'll look forward to hearing from you," She told him with the classic Viktoria Kastovo smile, a smile of optimism, hope and enlightenment. Viktoria took to drinking and eating with such impeccable manners from an early age and even now, she had to do everything a certain way. When she heard him speak up, she smiled and nodded as she politely finished her mouthful before opening her mouth to speak.

"It's amazing," She admitted with a humbled smile. "Honestly, one of the best things I've ever eaten," She told him before taking a sip of her drink.

"So, what do you think it will be? A boy or a girl?" She asked with a small grin. Yes, their relationship was incredibly awkward and intense but she didn't see why they both couldn't bond and take pride in their coming child too. She wanted to enjoy being pregnant and being a mother, talking to the Father and her friends about them would be a start.
